Its always a fun time at Petes! Weve been here about 3 times and every time only gets better! I would highly suggest making a table reservation. We were able to get a front row table and it was awesome. The first time we went, luckily it was just 2 of us so we got a table in the back corners but when we went with a group of 6 it was standing room only.My only advice is to make sure you check your receipt at the end of the night or else you will be waking up looking at your bank account wondering why you spent so much if you only got a couple of drinks lol. Other than that, its always a good time!
Tbh I didnt have any food, but I gave it a 5 anyway. lolmy wife and I were celebrating our 21st anniversary, and this was a perfect place to cap off the night. the atmosphere is great, friendly, and fun. with enough people in the audience, eventually, we all started singing together. even to the songs we didnt know! the piano players are so talented and lively that you cant help but laugh, sing, and have fun!shout out to Gigi, our server! she made the experience even better!
The crowd was amazing, the people were so kind, and the staff was phenomenal. I talked to ONE staff member, and told him the ladies’ room needed toilet paper. They took care of it immediately, and our server was not just friendly but consistently attentive. Got all of our orders in a timely fashion, and we were really well received even after showing up 5 minutes after our reservation time. The music was great, and people were having a great time. I love everything about my first experience at a piano bar in general & I am so thankful that it was here 💖
Our first time here and it was great! Definatly make reservations because it fills up fast!Lol I thought that the piano players were going to take song requests and dual echo other with them but they did not, even still it was a great experience! All 4 musicians were great both with their performances and with engaging with the crowd. The menu is limited to a few small items like burgers or fries but they are great. We had the loaded fries and wigs, very tasty.
This was our first time at this establishment and our service when we first arrived was atrocious! We were at the bar top waiting to be served and our server was just standing around talking to other servers, so we went to the bar and got our own drinks. Our server then came by and literally chastised us for not ordering through her. So we waited and waited for her to come back to take our order for food and drinks. We ordered a Chardonnay but she kept bringing us sparkling wine. Then we finally received our ice-cold nachos. The entertainment was good though.
Super fun experience! Was quite cramped but that was to be expected. Service was awesome-very impressed with how those girls maneuvered the crowd and got everyone served. We hardly had to wait at all for drinks. Managed to get a table quite quick once we got there! That was very nice!
Went to the Frisco location. Great music, and tons of fun. Drink prices are reasonable for a venue like this. Song requests can be sent with a cash tip, and placed on the top of the piano.I believe this is also the only location they have that also serves food. The food menu is basic stuff, breads, pizza, etc.
Our service and experience were amazing!! Thank you, Will and Chloe, for taking such great care of us! It was my first time here, and Chloe made sure we had everything we needed all night! No wait for drinks, answered all our questions, and always seemed to be ready to bring us our next order while we enjoyed the show! I absolutely recommend this entire experience and will definitely be back!
Food and service were good but pricey. The show itself was way too tacky. Denise was excellent though, great talent!
The drinks are not strong with that being said I really liked them as I’m not a big booze drinker. The atmosphere was fun. I just couldn’t get in to the music. The stage performances were loud and the lady singing had a screechy voice. I was planning on staying most of the night but after 2 hours I couldn’t take anymore. I was expecting something more entertaining.
Totally understand wanting to keep sober people here, but mildly intoxicated people being asked to leave? Cool. We won’t be back. Would like to retract my previous review because the pump for this location has not cleared legal review…
Amazing entertainment! Everyone is so talented and funny! Saturday night it was packed! The VIP area was 100% worth it! Daneille was amazing and always nearby to help!
We discovered Petes when they first opened in Frisco. Right away the staff was friendly and provided top notch service. We go several times a month. Sylvia is a friendly server. She provides hands down the BEST table service. I had my birthday party in Oct. and Sylvia was our server, she was quick, fast, and knowledgeable of the drink menu and ready to offer suggestions.
This place is SO much fun. Booked 2 VIP 2nd row tables and even though management was difficult to get a hold of it was worth it. We were RIGHT in front of the pianos and it was a hilarious and impressive show to watch. All 4 of the piano players we saw were talented and hilarious. I cannot recommend this place anymore highly, it is a ridiculously fun time!!!!!
Cant really share my thoughts on the food, since I didnt eat there, but the atmosphere was phenomenal, the sets were amazing, the later sets(2 guys, 1 was bald & the other was older)were the funniest and raunchiest. Definitely bring your pocketbook, 20 beers & 2 shots came up to $220 w/ gratuity
Great place to hang with a group of friends. Basically you can suggest songs and the ppl play it but the entire bar is singing. Doesn’t matter if you can’t sing bc everyone is drunk lol. It’s slightly diverse but a different culture doesn’t seem to be any issue here. Everyone here just want to sing and have a great time.!!!!plus there is plenty of participation at this spot.
Overall a great experience, they played 2/5 of our song requests and there was unfortunately a random $47 charge on 2 people in our groups card afterwards . It eventually was put back into their accounts but was alarming at first! I will say the fish bowl large drinks are not strong at all but very tasty. I enjoyed my time and hope to go back in the future!
Great place for live music! As long as you get there a little early or keep eyes peeled, its always easy to snag a table. Musicians are fantastic. They really know how to entertain the crown. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that Im pretty sure they are watering down drinks. First sip is straight alcohol and then the rest literally just tastes like water. Crazy if thats the case since the drinks are $10-$15 and the cover is $15. But other than that, super fun spot for date night, double date, etc!!
Have lived in Frisco for 12 years, and can finally say after this past weekend, Petes is THE MOST FUN we have ever had here. Not sure if its just bc it was Halloween but the camaraderie between the musicians and the nicest crowd of people in there singing together was incredible. Perfect mix of songs, super clean place, drinks were fun and came out fast despite the place being packed. I cant wait to go back. I love living in Frisco and this place is a top tier addition! Go Cowboys!
We didnt eat. The entertainment was outstanding on Jan. 13th. Entire staff was outstanding! The only negative issue when its freezing outside please consider using heat lamps while people are waiting other than that great evening and will return!!
Its a cool concept, but everything needs to be implemented a bit better. The sound is very loud and not set up well. The food and drinks were good, but a bit overpriced, and the service was awful. Their Venmo wasnt working on all phones for song requests.
Our company event at Petes Piano Bar in Frisco, Texas, was nothing short of spectacular! The service we received throughout the night was top-notch, ensuring that every moment was enjoyable and hassle-free.The entertainment at Petes Piano Bar is an absolute must-see and must-listen. The talented performers know how to create an unforgettable atmosphere. Youll find yourself laughing, smiling, and dancing the night away because the music and ambiance make you feel fantastic.A big shout-out to Petes Piano Bar for a great job in making our event a memorable one. If youre looking for a place to have a blast, look no further. Petes Piano Bar in Frisco, Texas, is the place to be!
No tables available but they let u in and charge $30. watery, watery cocktails in a big glass, very bad acoustic, singing girl with squeal voice drilling hole in ur ears, people are sitting like in church listening them 🥴 boring place, boring music ,i dont recommend.
So much fun! Drinks were great, food was standard pub fare. Wish the tables were a little bigger. Entertainment was outstanding! I lost my voice singing along.
It was truly extraordinary an unforgettable experience. Our server Silvia was super patient provided me variety of drinks that I may like and our glasses were never left empty. Made our experience truly unforgettable we will definitely make another trip out to Frisco.
We had fun but something feels different in this new location compared to the original. To be really fair I quit drinking years ago and thats probably the biggest difference. My wife and friends had a great time.
We had a blast! The atmosphere is so much fun! And our server Sylvia was amazing! She kept the drinks coming and the music kept the good times rolling!
Good atmosphere and the muscisians were hilarious! Will be back again for sure!
For what it is, it was okay. The live music show is good but the drinks and service were nothing special and were pretty expensive for what you get. 2 mixed drinks with 20% tip cost me around $33.50 but they tasted like lemonade with margarita mix and ice. Definitely not strong so I would stick to beer plus its cheaper.
I went to Piano Bar a few days ago and was severed by our fantastic server, Frida!! She did an amazing job treating my table with hospitality and great service. The food and drinks were amazing, will definitely be back!
Such a fun place to go with friends! Drinks were great. My server was Frida, she made my experience amazing and was super attentive and funny. I cant wait to go back to this piano bar.
I started coming to Petes Frisco when they moved from Addison. It was just gonna be one visit for a friends birthday, but we had so much fun, we went back the next week. I think Ive been there almost 40 times since then. Everyone there is fun and welcoming. And not just the performers like Madeleine, Nate, Mark, & Kyle! AJ behind the bar always makes sure I get a drink as soon as I walk in, and Sylvia & Frida make sure I have one at all times for the rest of the night. Even Jerry at the door keeps me entertained when I get there and when I leave. Petes is my all-year-long Thursday night spot. And sometimes Fridays. And Saturdays. Sometimes all 3 in the same week!
Great for a night out with a group. Request all your favorite oldies and sing-along songs. Tip to get your request to the front of the queue. They also accept venmoDrinks are more expensive, but there is no cover charge in return.
We had a lot of fun celebrating friends birthdays. The server was great, gave us our correct drinks and bills. Came by regularly to see if we wanted refills. Loved the music and energy of the artists.
All the musicians are wonderful. Nate, Mark, and Madeline (sorry madam if I spell wrong) are my personal favs!Much love from a regular.Drinks can add up quick but you are so blown away by the vocal talent and fun you are having... do you really care? They also recognize regulars. Its the little things.
Ive been here twice since it moved to Frisco. Once on my birthday in July and just this past week with coworkers and OH EM GEE - had a BLAST both times! The pianists are not only talented but know how to have a good time. I absolutely love them and love this place! Will continue to keep coming back!
The BEST bar to go to in the plano area!!!! we went here for my friend’s bachelorette party and it was the BEST decision we could have made since we are from oklahoma! the bar staff and the talented singers we’re all so kind & amazing! they called out our bride to be TWICE and made her weekend even more special than she could’ve imagined. if you love talented performers, singing loud, and a good time you have to come here!!! as the maid of honor, i struggled trying to decide which bar we would go to and our first stop was pete’s and it was so amazing we stayed until close and didn’t go anywhere else! i would recommend this place to anyone! thank you again to the kind performers & bar staff for making my bride to be’s weekend SO special! we will be back and ready to sing loud again! can’t wait to go back to texas for this bar alone!
Scrolling through The Star in Frisco after dinner with some friends. Saw a big o duck sitting outside, so being the nosey self that i am i had to go see what the heck it was doing there and why lol. Upon my discovery turns out its a piano bar. Lucky for my group of friends we have never been to one before so we decided to go in and check it out. There was a cover charge. Not too bad. Walk in to the place people singing / dancing. Definitely was a vibe in there. From old school to new school music it was all fun to sing along to. We ordered our drinks through the server. I believe her name was Silvia. Very attentive and attractive. The piano player named Kyle was my favorite he was funny and engaging with the crowd. Definitely coming back. Oh and dont forget to grab some jello syringes too. Yummy flavors.
This place is like stepping into the bar scene in a movie. The musicians are extremely talented and quite hilarious. People are asked to come on stage and join in the fun. Its very loud, so dont expect to have any serious conversations, but you will probably be paying attention to the stage the whole time!
Had a lot of fun singing along. It was pretty crowded but we were still able to get drinks quickly. Those drinks were pricey, though. 14 for a mixed drink! Although the drink tasted good it was pretty weak, especially for the price tag. Definitely would come back, but maybe get drinks somewhere else first.
I RECENTLY WENT TO PETES PIANO BAR AND MY PARTY HAD AN AMAZING TIME!!! THE SERVICE WAS GREAT, THE MUSIC WAS GREAT AND THE SHOW WAS AWESOME!! OUR SERVER WAS THE BEST! SYLVIA ALWAYS MADE SURE WE HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. WE NEVER HAD TO WAIT LONG OR LOOK FOR HER. SHE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND MADE US FEEL VERY WELCOME!!! WE WILL DEFINETLY BE BACK AGAIN!!
Sylbia was the most amazing person ever. She made great conversation and was quick with our drinks. Great atmosphere to be around with her present, will be coming back if she’s our server. 10/10 👍
Visited Pete’s over the weekend, had a great experience. The food and service were impeccable. Our server, Frida answered all our questions and made sure we had a good time. Will definitely be returning soon to see her!
I wouldn’t go unless you have a table reservation. The standing room situation is terrible, it isn’t like the old Addison location where you could chill and enjoy without a table. They’re cramming this place to the max, letting way more people in than they can reasonably fit. We wasted our cover fee and had to leave before the show was finished because it was uncomfortable to just be in the way and get shoved around. Behind the seating area there’s a little standing area with a bar ledge where you can sit a beverage, but it’s a very small space and once it fills up then people are just kind of stuck crowding the walkway - where the wait staff is going to have to be aggressive in order to get by. There’s no way to know before you pay your cover if that small standing zone is already full - and if you need a drink refill and need to walk away, may the odds be ever in your favor. The setup is ridiculous for both the patrons AND the staff. If you’re not a seated patron then it’s clear that the wait staff loathes your presence, they should just make the whole bar reservation only. If you aren’t able to get a table reservation then I wouldn’t even recommend even attempting. They did have a better than average drink selection - though it’d be nice if they got some nicer wine options. The dueling piano players put on a good show, would’ve been nice to get to stay and enjoy them.
I was excited to try the new Frisco location after having spent many fun nights out at the Addison spot. I was hoping the space would have been exponentially larger, since the Addison location was very tight to move around and seating was limited. The first thing I noticed was that they raised the cover fee from $10 to $15 per person. I was wholly disappointed when I walked in to find the layout of the venue almost identical to how it previously looked. They might have managed to provide even less seating now. It still has the 2 sides, where you cant see much, and the small section in front of the stage. There were some red padded benches against the wall on each end, for VIP guests, but they remained empty. They have 1 bar and 2 sets of restrooms. The service was spotty depending on where I was receiving it from, but good service when it was provided. The night was more spendy that I was anticipating. There is more standing space, but less bars/high tops to sit behind. The open space gets full of people and you will have to shoulder your way through a small crowd to move around. The venue needs twice as much seating. I suggest reserving a table in advance (not the day of).The performers were incredible and talented, as always. Although, it does feel like Im watching a slightly different version of the same show each time I go, but I always have a good time nonetheless.
The piano guys are definetly fun! I would give them a 5 star.3 stars because of the horrible drinks and the bartender not fixing them. The drinks are disgusting.Fwy $10 copay on a Friday night. Conga line was fun!The worst sugary drinks I ever had in my life. Tried the 8 Seconds first, hoping it would give me a pick me up since thats what the menu said.It did, got sugar high, but who wouldnt from a bucket of sugar? Then we tried a chilled shot of Don Julio, which also tasted weird. Then we asked for a regular margarita. It was the worst margarita we ever tasted. It had a horrible fake aftertaste and it was so sour, I was getting an acid reflux. And we got 2 of those horrible things with my date. When i asked the bartender if he could fix the drink, he simply said, thats a margarita and there is nothing to fix about it. I then went to the other end of the place to the other bar and asked the bartender girl if she could do something to it, it was so bad instant stomach ache. She made me a strawberry mrgarita, didnt charge for it, but i think there was something wrong with their margarita mix or the Sweet n sour was expired. It ruined the whole drink. Oh and the bartender charged $5 for the rubber duck.
I made a reservation for a table a week in advance. The website said music starts at 8 so we got there at 7:30. There was a couple of tables full but SO many tables empty. They set us at the very last table in the back. When other people came in an hour later, they were set center stage. It was very disheartening. I enjoyed the music until Mr. Fisher I believe his name is went on break, then we left. Drinks were WAY too expensive and mainly orange juice. That was disappointing.
Fun place to go if you have a couple of hours to kill. It was fun until the pianists started getting money hungry. They didnt play some of the requests we put in(gave them cash for it). Would go again, but I am definitely aware of what to expect.
Great place. Lots of fun. Friendly staff.
Frida was incredible!!! This was my first time coming here with a couple of friends & she was completely amazing! She was funny, super attentive, & made the entire experience a 10/10!!! I will definitely be coming back!
So much fun!! Sylvia helped make our experience better, she was so attentive and sweet! Loved her energy 🥰 can’t wait to be back!
Not a fan - Website says you need a reservation. Emailed and was told not reservations accepted for the night we came, and said to get there when they opened to ensure a seat. Arrived at opening and place was completely empty, cover charge guy spun tablet around to tip him just to take our money. Really tired of everyone w/the tip jar, but why tip to pay a cover? Place was FREEZING COLD and EMPTY. Asked bartender to adjust air, and he said well it will get warmer when people come. Hour later, place still empty - only one couple came - It was very sad and depressing. We gave piano guys money twice, each time to play one song. Finally I was so cold we just left. What a disappointment, and bad treatment of clientele that paid cover, bought drinks, and gave great tips. Waste of money and bad experience
It was my nieces Bachelorette party and they made it amazing, she had a great time.
We had an awesome time! Music was awesome and Frida, our server kept the drinks coming and was so sweet! We will be back,!and definitely recommend this for a great time!!
Fun way to spend a night with your girl friends (or just friends in general). Good music and ambience. Had no idea what dueling is before this. Great concept. If you need to sit, i guess reservations are required but hanging in the back is fun too, you’re closer to the bar ;)
Our servers name was Frida, I believe. She was amazing!! Very attentive and super sweet. She’s answered all of our questions regarding the menu. Frida, thank you for the great service! My boyfriend and I will be returning.
I did not like the place, they charged you a $15 cover, the piano players did not play a complete song, not very good singers in my opinion, we ordered some signature cocktails and they tasted like Listerine.
The atmosphere was such a cool vibe, service was amazing and very quick, my server Sylvia was very attentive and bubbly. We will definitely be back!
Finally had a chance to check out Petes, talk about a great atmosphere! Lots of great songs were played and everyone was friendly. Id definitely come back again.
Had a blast! Got some great songs played by an amazing group of artists. The drinks were good.I’m not sure if the owner buys into the whole Two Hour Seat rule, but me and my date were both uncomfortable on the hard wood chairs after about two hours.
Really enjoyed the experience of the piano players and music—definitely worth the time and money. The one thing that’s hard to get behind is the concept of being waitlisted for a spot. Multiple times, we were told that we’d get a text or call for an open table and although people were being seated around us, there was 3 or 4 occasions of groups just grabbing open tables before anyone could get it. The system seems to be messed up that we ended up getting there at 7 pm and stood for 4 hours straight until we left at 11. We’ll come back again but tough to do without a reservation. Wouldn’t recommend just walking in as a stand by.
Made a reservation but it was not acknowledged. Tables were held for reservations far past 8. Still standing after an hour and a half in the packed bar area. Dodging the staff and people going to and from the bathroom. $15 each to get in and nearly 10 bucks apiece for beer. Great idea but wont be back.
Not for nothing I rarely do this..... Music was great and performers did an amazing job.... thats all the stars they get. My good friend who was on her death bed a week ago booked (prepaid for a party of 8) a table with Alan, the regional manager. And we decided to celebrate life with our good friend.Due to traffic around the area we were 6 mins late. But the manager for the night gave our table away that was already booked. Made no accommodations for another table and didnt refund our $100+ back. I dont recommend it due to the poor customer service.
Frida was absolutely amazing! She made the whole experience 10x better. She was fast with her service and an absolute riot! Coming back solely for the great service!!
Such a fun place and experience.Definitely something to do for a fun date or with friends if youre into karaoke but dont want the spotlight directly on you. Been here a few times and its always a blast! Theyve played songs from Elton John, Garth Brooks, Blink-182 and Brittney Spears just to give an idea; its a fun mix with popular/well known music so you can join in and sing your heart out.
Such a fun experience and because everything is rather improvisational, its different every time you go. I hadnt been in a long time, but I forgot what a fun time it is. Its a very popular spot for events like bachelorette parties, birthdays, etc. Highly recommend getting reservations especially if you have a large group because this place is quite popular and fills up fast. If youve never been, I definitely would go experience the fun and shenanigans they have to offer.
This place is honestly just awful. I was hoping the new location would look better and be bigger than Addison but it’s a terrible design and layout. You can tell the owner/management is greedy and that a good customer experience is not a priority. The prices went up on cover, jello shots, and drinks for a less valuable experience in an overpacked bar. They started serving food but are using the same tiny, wobbly tables from the old location so you can’t fit much on the table and drinks are constantly spilling. There was very little thought put into the Frisco location and it shows. If you want to be overcharged, underserved, and overcrowded, this is the place for you!
Great atmosphere. A little tight in space, but it works. The shows are fun, hilarious, and entertaining. Even if you dont know some of the songs, youll enjoy talent of the musicians.
Arrived close to 10pm on a Saturday night, entry per person was $15, and it was crowded af like sardine crowded but found a little space to stand close to entrance and still manged to have fun! You may want to arrive early for a table or reserve. They play all kinds of music when i arrived they were playing queen🤪 and you can also request songs (dont forget to tip more likey to play your song) then Eminem played, spice girls heck even let it go from frozen 🤣🤣 also the macarena !! My introvert people were dancing the chicken dance 🤣 it was so fun ...people get on stage, musicians put on a really good show!!! It was so much fun atleast for me i like dancing and singing Ill be that person lol 💀 jello shots where actual syringes , shots were good, drinks were cute i just wanted a little ducky! Oh if theres a duck outside the venue it rotates 🤣 dont attempt to get on it while drunk 🤣🤣 you will fall.take pictures at arrival 😁😅 Have fun!!
BEST. NIGHT. EVER. I went to celebrate my birthday with friends this past weekend and had such a blast! Maggie was a wonderful and never left us wondering where she was. The music, staff and drinks all created an atmosphere which made me feel so special and fun! 10/10 recommend for your next celebration.
Chloe and Rubin were absolutely fantastic! Chloe was prompt and kept a smile on her face the entire time she served my party, even while the entire room was PACKED with people. Rubin has taken care of me many times, and he keeps his cool and is attentive, even while pumping out cocktails for the whole room. 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a bit different on their night out.
Highly advised to email Petes to reserve a table a week or two before you go. For our party of 6, I was so glad we did, it was standing room only by 8pm. There are few places of entertainment that can combine the fun of singing, all out laughter, and all around entertainment for all in attendance. Be advised this is not a place where a lot of table conversations will happen. This is about full engagement with the performers, loud singing by everyone and having a great experience together. We brought our friend from Canada with us and she said she had never experienced anything like it and had a wonderful time. Remember to SING LOUD!
Absolutely a blast! I would highly recommend anyone check it out if you are looking for a night of fun and great memories!
They have a giant fishbowl drink that is amazing! However I strongly recommend equally sharing it amongst several people if youd like to be able to walk and remember your evening. It has an amazing atmosphere and i will definately return. Make sure you reserve seats or get there very early!
I have loved Pete’s for yearsMany visit to the Addison location and even once at the Austin location. We had a good time but was very disappointed how often it came back to some “battle of songs” so the piano players could nickel and dime the crowd to flip the song.
This place is amazing. The most fun you will ever had. Very popular for bachelorette parties and birthdays. Everyone in audience sings and dances at their tables. They have games on stage. Once a night they pay a special tribute to veterans by bringing them onto the stage and everyone stands and sings God Bless The USA will bring a sense of patriotic pride to everyone there with tears to most peoples eyes. . Kyle and the rest of the entertainers know just about every song and gets everyone involved with the fun, laughter and makes everyone feel like they are part of one big family. For bar drinks are strong and very reasonably priced. The whole staff are friendly and wonderful. I travel 180 miles to get there anytime celebrating something special. Have never seen a fight or disturbance. Safe, fun, must go.
Those dueling pianos are amazing! It does get crowded though.
Went there on Friday at 12 am. We were pretty late to reach there. But it was lit. The pianists are so talented! And they take requests. Very nice place to go with friends or even for ladies night out.
First time here !Peter , Piano guy !He literally told us we couldnt have a friend sing a song after tipping! & then i asked to speak with manager she said the charge was $100When we had originally asked , why he only said he didnt allowed Karaoke !But yet took our tip !Such a racism and customer service!
Me and my girlfriend decided to have a Friday date night at the comedy club next store to Pete’s. We had dinner else where then arrived to the comedy club a hour early and decided to give Pete’s piano bar a try. They had a $10 cover charge per person which kinda sucked because I knew we was just going in there for 1 drink before the comedy show but I understand your paying cover to see a show. It was a packed house so we decided to just head to the bar and order a drink. The first bartender was real rude my girlfriends not much of a drinker so I asked for a girly drink and just looked at me like he was busy frustrated and mad he said well I don’t know what kind you want or what she wants with a attitude. I told him NeverMind on the girly drink just give me my drink. After paying I moved on to a female bartender and asked her the same question if should could make my girlfriend a girly drink she said sure with a smile ( like a real bartender should.) the rude bartender watched me ask and shook his head. The girl Bartender was great so I tipped her way more the normal. Anyways after getting a drink we didn’t really know where to sit so stood around the bar. All the tables looked full and crowed. A nice young waitress asked us if we wanted to sit down we said sure she walked us to two empty bar stools. She was great checked on us a couple times. The music was great the talent on the pianos was awesome and very good we loved it for the 30 minutes we was there.
If you like to sing along to good music, YES! Go here. If you love the sound of pianos, YES go here! Its way better than karaoke for me. But then again, I love the Irish pub vibe where everyone is shouting out lyrics as the chug their drink and hug their friends or complete stranger. YES! If you like that Irish pub singing vibe, this place is a must visit. I will not add photos. Because what happens @ Petes, stays at Petes.
Oh man! We had so much fun!! We got there at 8 when the music started and we’re surprised there were so many empty chairs and tables. They sure did fill up fast. By about 10 there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. We sat at the rail and went to the bar for our drinks, great bartenders by the way! I never waited for a single drink! The well drinks were decently strong and affordable.Everyone that played piano and sang was ridiculously talented! I loved all the requests and they sang their hearts out! Anything from Elton John to Motley Crue! You just give them a tip with your request and they make it happen.I would highly recommend going here for a night when you are in town! Definitely worth the $10 cover. My husband and I had a phenomenal date night last night here!
This was my first time going and will definitely come back. It is more enjoyable with a bigger group of people. The pianists are amazing, very talented! Definitely a good time. Make sure you are ready to participate in the show :)
Wow, what a riot! This is definitely the place to gather with your friends for a special occasion such as a birthday, bachelor / bachelorette party or just as an excuse to go out for a night on the town! The performers were extremely talented and could really work the crowd! This should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list of things to do in Addison!
The vibe here is awesome. Its relatively small and personal. The performers are engaging and the drinks are good. Great place to go if you are in a big group. Its not boujee, nobody judges, the music is throwback, the atmosphere is fun.
I can’t believe they moved from Addison, if you live in Frisco area you are lucky. You get the best piano bar in the country. Ive been going there for 13 years and now have to resort to going to Louie Louie’s because no one wants to drive all the way to Frisco.
The experience was so fun. Love how the audience was very involved. If you like valet parking this is the place for you. There is absolutely no parking unless you valet and pay 5.00 plus tip. Other than that it was so much fun. Will go again.
The new location is much busier & not as fun as the last location. More cramped & crowded, making it not as enjoyable. Less bar access giving longer wait times & harder for staff to give good service. The last location is definite 5 stars. This location, unfortunately, barely got 2.
I’m sad to give this place one star because it truly is fun and the people at the pianos were a great time, as well as the audience, but I can’t look past the fact that the bar staff is rude and won’t own up to their mistakes- not to mention the manager, Jay (at least that’s what he told us his name was). They messed up on a tab in our party and made up every excuse in the book instead of just fixing it. It was my friends birthday and some how her card got ran 3 times. They said it could be the cover charge but that’s only $10 and the charges were all more than $20, plus she got in free because it was her birthday. Jay screamed in her face and slammed receipts down in front of her. When she tried to look at the charges, he grabbed them out of her hand and threatened to call the police, so we let him. The police show up (multiple cars) and agreed this was ridiculous. They said to pay and then dispute the charges tomorrow just to get the terrible manager off our backs. She was FINE with paying her tab, but it was incredibly disrespectful the way Jay treated my friend. He told the cops were were “belligerent” when we CLEARLY weren’t and the officers saw that. They wasted the time of 3-4 cop cars over a $20 something charge that shouldn’t have been on her tab because our other friend already paid for it.Go here if you want to be double charged, disrespected, and lied to.
Great place to enjoy a musical show, public is always encouraged to participate and go on stage, and the musicians know plenty of songs, old and current hits. Its better to make seat reservations, otherwise youll be standing all knight. Service at the bar is always great and prompt. Highly recommended!
Visited this place while on a business trip and immediately fell in love! Both sets of piano players were talented and great with the crowd. The crowd wasnt really big but I actually preferred it.It was like having a party with 25 of your closest friends!
Absolutely amazing!!!!! It was my first time here as it was my friend’s birthday, and we all love a good music show. The drinks were too delicious I ended up taking too many shots lol 🤦🏾♀️ the musicians were amazing, I particularly remember the blonde haired lady (I forgot her name) but she absolutely assassinated my Lauryn Hill request it actually brought me to tears in my drunk state. I will insert a video later once I can track it down, but she was amazing.
First time in, next door to one of my favourite comedy spots on DFW. Very busy and you can definitely hear the music from outside the main doors. People sing and down some drinks and the atmosphere is very light-hearted and fun. Depending on who you deal with, the drinks will be watered down, so I suggest a beer. Small bathrooms so be prepared to wait. Youll have a good time
Went on like a Tuesday, so wasnt packed, but still decent crowd, with a high female to male ratio, and its was so much fun! What an experience! This is now and will he forever my go-to place in Addison, and Ive been to em all. (Glorias for Latin dance night is still fun). Cant wait to catch a Fri or Sat. Side note, no draft beers.
Went for a birthday celebration. It was great fun. Our host ordered pizza since they dont have a kitchen. The drinks were great and the entertainment lively. Well be back!
Great, fun atmosphere. The audience participation was amazing. The manager Justin is one of the nicest people and our waitress Jackie is amazing. Take some friends, plan a party there... youll have a great time.
I found this place when looking for a Jazz bar after just moving to the city. I didnt know it wasnt a Jazz bar until I was deep in line waiting to get in. I then thought to myself what the heck, youre already here. I am so glad that I didnt turn around and leave. This place is AMAZING!!!! The atmosphere is EVERYTHING! The drinks are FANTASTIC! It really is a big a** sing-a-long. I love that they play songs from almost every genre too. Youd have to be brain dead to not have a great time here.
Certainly enjoyed the atmosphere but was bummed that nearly all the seats were reserved for birthday parties. We got there reasonably early and still had to stand. $10 cover
I loved this place! It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. Its really funny and the musicians are really good and know really well how to handle the crowd. Im looking forward to come back again.
This was a celebration for my husbands 60th birthday. There were about 20 professionals in our group of friends and family. (Global Presidents, NFL players, business owners). I paid $150 per table of 4 reserved which included $10 cover and one drink per person. Quite pricey but felt it would be worth it for. VIPwe all came together In an expensive limousine bus and entered the club. When I mentioned to the doorman we were the Lake party and asked how many had gone in so far in our party he informed he he was not paid enough to keep count. I had several people driving themselves and wanted them under a free cover. no big deal really I guessWe were to be there between 7 and 730 to guarantee our tables together I asked to be away from the front tables as we would enjoy moving around and socialising, not a problem I was told we really had a good time enjoyed the music and good friends. As hostess I visited people standing and sitting at their tables. Our young waitress seemed okay until a number of my guests told me she cut me off of service didn’t tell me told my guests and wouldn’t say why. I was not drunk we were so confused. I had six others in my family on my drink tabI went to speak to a manager and he didn’t know why either so brought her over and when I asked what happened she smirked and shrugged her shoulders...... what??? The manager said he had to back up his employees. I understand that to a certain degree absolutely but not in this case. As a result our 20+ guests immediately left in unison much earlier than anticipated. This was 10 pm I paid VIP and limo till closing which is 1 am my guess is they weren’t getting the revenue in drinks from us as we were mostly a mature group and they wanted the seats for the fresh group arriving after the comedy club exited. The 20% gratuity was already a given how do you think I feel about that on my credit card? Also as VIP guests we had not heard or seen the manager all night until this happened. My maturity when out the window as I was the last exit the group and gave the entire place a double fu including the number of obviously over served patronsshame on you Pete’s duelling piano bar
One of the coolest places I’ve been to! Frida has the best attitude and makes the experience that much better! Highly recommend to all!!
Love this bar we always have fun. My friends and I had so much fun I got called on stage and it was a blast. You need to go at least once it will be your new spot. Shout out to bathroom attendant she kept the bathroom clean. And she had other items on hand if you needed anything.
We had so much my fun. Im 62 and my daughters took me for my birthday. It was a blast. I dont think it is a place that you go over and over because the show would be a repeat. If you come after 8:15 you will probably have to stand. We laughed and danced. They definitely need better speakers!
HAd the best time for NYE! The crowd was awesome. The talent is superior. They knew songs I haven’t heard in years. Standbys like Piano Man and Sweet Caroline are expected. But they played No Diggity (90’s hip hop) and it was flawless. Anything you want they can play. Expect to have a good time. Drink or not it is a lot of fun.
As far as dueling piano bars go, this is the only one within 30 miles that I am aware. They have a full bar and plenty of seating. Artists rotate in every twenty minutes or so. The only downside is that it can be too loud to have a conversation, but that is expected. The are lots of girls-night-out and bachelorette groups on the weekend.
I am obviously not the target demographic. I believe all the reviews saying they enjoyed it grew up in the South and are of an older generationYounger millennials/ Gen Z - doubt there’s much we’re gonna relate to. I knew maybe … 3 songs they played and one was Lady Gaga. Average experience for meAlso yeah if you’re not American and didn’t grow up here - not much to relate to either. Seemed quite a (at the cost of sounding weird) Southern/ Midwestern white and middle aged thing. Felt like a real outsider here.Non Americans and Zillennials - Maybe go once just to see what the hype is about but have low expectations. You probably won’t sing along to anything unless you’re also into retro or old timey music
One of the best places Ive ever been to in a long time. Audience involvement is always fun but could perhaps be better if they allowed audience members to join the band in singing a song or two. Could be a fun dynamic.
Everyone is so friendly and its such a good time! The show is great! Just have to be sure to take enough cash with you if you want them to play your requested songs!
Great place. Really a lot of fun. Great place to take a date when you want to make a good impression. I own the Concierge Network in the hotels and we send guests there regularly and always hear positive feedback.
Fun night. Went there for my best friends birthday party. Drinks were good and the crowd was enthusiastic even down to having a conga line at one point. Its a heck of a lot faster to order at the bar, of which they have two; one on each end. The music went from country to classic rock to standards and a few moderns. In other words, something for everyone. A bit pricey, but within Addison standard prices. Theyll also point out the birthday girl or boy if you let the piano players know. After a certain point the night gets very blurry, but like I said, fun night overall.
So it had been a few years but the crowd is still the same and its awesome. We were walk ins so we stood for a while but eventually a few chairs opened up. Good times!!!
0 stars. Promoted here is not white midwestern or southern culture. It is Redneck culture. Bartender had a nasty attitude just because I asked the price of a beer... ?!? Why the hell is there a cover fee to witness this nonsense? Some customers emulated lewd acts on stage later on. Very bad form.
Fun place, especially if you love music and loud singing. It is way overcrowded though and a lot of people end up standing the whole time. The drinks are not very good, especiallyfor the prices. The fish bowl drink was not good at all.
Easily the most musical talent Ive ever seen concentrated into one bar.And the performers are so good with people. Everyone sang along, which is not my typical comfort zone, but even I had a great time.
Addison recently closed down. Was aGreat place on weekends to watch a typical dualing piano show. Great for birthdays etc. Pricey. Tip begging was crazy. But people always kept them coming.
What’s sad is I know I can leave this review and yet that manager and waitress will just get away with everything they did…If I could 0 stars I would. I have been here several times no problems at all. I went last night with my sister and some friends to celebrate my 30th birthday and what started as a wonderful night went bad when it came to closing out my tab. I had a random charge on my card before closing out my tab. When I asked the waitress Chloe she kept saying she had no idea. Her first excuse was it was the cover charge to get in. That’s not correct for two reasons which I told her 1) it’s $10 to get in the charge was for $22. 2) I never paid to get in because it was my birthday. Then they tried to say oh well when you have an open tab they run it for x amount . That’s not true either… again I have been here several times before. The manager Jay was extremely RUDE when we were trying to explain to him that what looked like happened was when my sister and I both gave our cards to our waitress me to open my tab and her to pay for a round of shots they ran BOTH of our cards for the shots (we have bank statements showing this and showed him) he continued to wave a receipt in our faces saying well you signed. When we were looking at the receipt he was snatch it aggressively out of our hands. That wasn’t my signature it was my sisters because that’s what was handed to her with her card. Every time we tried to explain that the waitress messed up and they needed to fix it and refund the double charge to my card he just continued screaming at us and hitting his hands on the counter. I have never delt with a “manager” who was that unprofessional in my life! I tried to walk out and they ended up calling the cops to try to say it was theft for not paying my tab that I tried to close out. I wasn’t about to pay them more money on top of what they charged me incorrectly.Cops came and I did pay but I will be calling my bank Monday morning. Even the cops advised me to do so.
The best night out in Dallas. Get ready to hear some old favorites and oddly great hip hop by the pianists. Be ready to have quiet a bit to drink because you just gotta have some fun! Get ready to be impressed and have a blast. Friday night is less crowded than Saturday. Just be aware it is a little packed so dont wait to go to the bathroom.
Definitely get a reservation if you want a table!! Just went for my 40th with 12 friends....was so much fun!!! Jerks made me go up on stage twice but was worth it
What started out as a great idea turned out to be hours of standing in heels outside the bullring of fun. All tables were reserved in advance and the limited seating was taken. To add, I paid $10 to get in. Word to the wise, reserve seating or wear flats and prepare to stand for hours. Otherwise, music and atmosphere was good.
Okay prices for drinks, but they have amazing bartenders who are fast and remember what you ordered! If you didnt book a table be prepared to stand and look over peopleif your short like me. Pretty good pianists but they only play oldies so maybe not for a younger crowd. All in allgood fun and good drinks. Ill probably visit again if I book a table next time. Also its a 10 cover charge... Kind of weird considering its a 21 and up place. But whatever. Tip your bartenders and waitresses! !!!!
Love: Musical performances, atmosphereLike: the characters that make up the placeLike-Less: crowded and $$$I LOVE it! I mean, pianist dueling it out to a crowd of intoxicated ex-teens...screaming at deafening tones...along to the sounds of Journey, The Cranberries, and Nicky Minaj! Whats not to enjoy?? (Maybe that CC receipt, reflecting that hefty trip down memory lane) Youll pay the price for reliving your youth... 1and/or 2 ways.. Good times never seemed so good... (SO GOOD, SO GOOD, SO GOOD!!)
I went there for a bachelorette party for my daughter in law to be. It was lots of fun.The staff was friendly and helpful. The mixed drinks were very good. The chairs were not comfortable for sitting for a prolonged time. The chair my daughter in law to be was sitting on broke causing her to fall.Outside on the sidewalk leading into Petes...the sidewalk is a bit difficult to maneuver in places if one has any issues with ,say, arthritis or back problems as I do.There are gaps built into the sidewalk that also caused a fall for my daughter in law to be as the sidewalk is also about 9 inches tall.I almost stumbled as did the other two ladies attending the party. We had not been drinking previously to going to Pete s.Other than the sidewalk and chairs....it was a really good time! I recommend it.
The Piano guys were very interactive and great singers. Our waitress was also very nice and came to check on us often. Im giving them a 2-star because one of their waitress (college age blond, thicker stature) had an issue with one of our friends, grabbed her by the arm when we were dancing in an area where other ladies were dancing and told her to stop making a fool of herself and get out of peoples way. While I understand the waitresss concern to ensure that we werent bumping into people, she could have demonstrated it in a more professional way and asked us to be more cautious.
Pretty lively, but seems to be geared to a slightly older crowd. 10 dollar cover per head and drinks can get pricey. That being said, the bartenders and wait staff were very efficient and handled the loud room/crowd without issue.
SO fun! Super crowded, standing room only, but thoroughly enjoyed myself! Long lines for the bathroom, so be patient. Went in the winter time...leave your coats in the car unless you want to hold them all night. Be sure to close out your tab before you leave!!
Everyone was singing and having a good time. Its crowded so be ready to stand if you dont have a table reserved. If youre lucky you can scoop in if some one leaves. Drinks: 8 seconds and Bangarang were tasty.
Frida was an amazing server! She was attentive and took such great care of us!
Reserve a table for your group, My family and close friends come here for Birthday Hangs; but its fun for any occasion! Tip the piano players to sing popular songs, and to embarrass your friends/loved ones (the best bit). If youre into places that are refined; this isnt your spot. Petes offers attendees to sing, dance, and cut loose (its a big party basically). It has a southern sophisticated charm, its loud, fun, and youre guaranteed to make a new friend each time you go. Also, Amaya our server was brilliant! 🤙🏼
Great place! Very interactive! When they say Sing Loud they mean it. The pianists compliment each other very well and rotate flawlessly keeping the flow of the evening continuous. Whether you are part of a group, single, or having a date night, Petes is bound to have you singing, laughing, and having an amazing fun time!
When u do a reservation request on line and it takes them 2 weeks to get back to you thats bad service . just to tell you there sold out. i guess there friends get in early. I will never recommend them to any of my business associates or Friend
RACIST.My husband and I came here with friends only to be humiliated and disrespected. We had a table and the waiter had the audacity to approach the only black couple in the bar and say “whatever drinks spill you must pay for” besides the fact that this is ridiculous. I would love to know why the only black couple was singled out. Racist establishment. Black people never enter we are not welcome.
You will need a reservation to have fun! I thought this location was gonna be better and bigger than the Addison location, but it was a lot smaller.
Seriously, can I have my 12 bucks back please? It wasnt worth paying a $12 cover fee just to watch 2 individuals, totally disorganized, just randomly hammer away notes in room filled with drunk individuals just shouting your head off. After 20 minutes of just feeling disoriented, I had to leave. Such as waste.
This place Is FIRE!!!! The talent is unbelievable and the crowd was pumping. Great vibes, great drinks and prices. Will definitely go back!!
Love this place. Weve been a few times. Its really not worth going during the week. The place is empty and quiet. But on the weekends it is rocking. You need to get a table reservation so you can have a place to sit. Its pretty crammed
Its a fun place and a great talent group that performs. Will definitely be back.
Went out with a group from work and had an absolute blast! The crowd is excellent, the entertainment is awesome, and the drinks taste great!! Only suggestion would be to have an extra bathroom. The ladies bathroom was long!
Great entertainment and wait staff. However, beware of keeping a tab open. Questionable practices. They closed the tab and I signed off with gratuity. We order two beers an hour later and receive a bill that is the exact same amount as tab closed earlier. I questioned it and received an inaudible response. Bear in mind it is chaotic, packed and very loud. I was not going to sacrifice the whole evening for an argument at the end. A $30 lesson learned and hopefully others will take same advice.
Cant go wrong with a night out at Petes! Such a fun place, reasonable drink prices. Gets a little busy on the weekends but that only adds to the energy of the place. Great for bachelorette parties or a fun night out with friends.
Inside is fantastic and songs are great. Valet tried to start a fight with this guy who was just waiting for an ride or uber. Very unprofessional. Guy wasnt even crazy. Just left when the ride arrived but this valet was young so who knows. Otherwise great!
I have been here on multiple occasions and have a blast every time no matter the group. The syringe shots always lead ti the best stories.
Music and artists were AMAZING! However, an elderly woman was drunkenly out of control, hitting patrons in the restroom and opening her top, exposing herself to the patrons and playing with her own breasts... The men liked it, the women were offended. When the staff was notified they merely monitored her previously out of control behavior but only watched until she left on her own volition. I was disappointed by the staffs reaction to illegal, aggressive, and inappropriate behavior.
Had a ton of fun here last month visiting with some friends while having my bachelor party. The music was a lot of fun, the drinks were good, and overall we had a blast coming here to finish the night off.
Not a fan of this Piano Bar, too crowded and drinks are too pricey, you also have to pay a cover to just get in the door. Unless your celebrating something and want to be overwhelmed by loud woos and drunken yells across the room, dont bother with this place. Ive gone to nicer and more fun live music atmosphere places that Id recommend before this place.
A great, fun night. Drinks, music and singing! Although pricey ($10 cover), its a great place for an occasional night out. The smoke free atmosphere is totally worth it!
Went to Petes with some friends. The place was packed, which I dont usually like, but everybody that was packed in there was nice. The entertainers were outstanding. I will be going back when we are back in the Dallas/Fortworth area. Doesnt matter what area you are in, it would be worth the trip. Or just get a hotel in the area for a night. To top it off, someone in our party forgot something at Petes. Petes got it back to them quickly. Not many places do that now days. Petes is a 5 Star establishment, without a doubt.
There were four pianists performing but only one, Jen, has talent and a good voice. The three men have awful singing voices and mediocre piano skills. The place was crammed beyond capacity such that getting any sort of service was a fleeting wish. And nothing on draft. The audience in general did seem to enjoy the performance more than I though I had the distinct impression that alcohol likely played a large role.I would be loathe to return until the place attracts a greater level of talent.
Great bar! The piano players will keep you entertained and engaged all night. Customer service is great too. The manager, James, made our experience phenomenal.
We always have a great time here. Have been here for birthdays, bachelorette parties and just to hang out. Drinks are tasty. Can get crowded but there is always room at the rear and by the bars to stand if you cant get a table.
It gets crowded....for good reason. Book a table early and go with all your friends. Youll love it.
This place is insanely fun! Catch a comedy show at the Improv and cross the hallway for a drink and a good time. It can be very crowded but will start to clear out after 11
Fun shows, great staff. Gets packed real good during weekends so if you dont show up early or have someone save you a seat then I hope you like standing.
