Friendly service nice cozy atmosphere. Its a neighborhood bar so everyone knows one another. a nice inviting place to relax and have a drink.

As a rule my boyfriend and I prefer hole in the wall local bars to corporate. However we started tonight at a corporate bar and took the bars manager up on his recommendation when his bar closed earlier than advertised. No regrets. Val. Is an amazing bartender. The drinks are well made and the crowd of regulars made us feel like we were at our own home bar. Will be returning. No questions.

Great local bar, meet friends here.Enjoy great personable service and decent prices on drinks. Have different events, something for everyone. Great place for sports viewing and karaoke every other Saturday. Also machines if thats your thing.

A good neighborhood bar with friendly bartenders. I love their logo. I asked about it and realized it is taken from the old Falstaff logo.Saturdays are customer appreciation day. Show up wearing one of their shirts and your second drink is free.

I dont know who this Preston bartender is but he is awesome. Best bloody mary on the island! Great service and amazing atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Was good until a wedding party came in and we were having a good time playing pooland listening to music and bar tender told us to quiet down after ordering 8 drinks and everyone left. Do locals keep this belar open or the non locals who come to penalty and spend money?

Good spot behind DoubleTree if youre looking for a spot open after 10pm. Dubbed 5 Star Dive Bar. Has a pool table and some gambling machines.

Absolutely my favorite bar in Galveston. I love this local joint. The beer is cold, the bartenders are always friendly. Some friends introduced me to this place and Ive loved it ever since. Be sure and check out the cats next door when you go... they are the official greeters. LOL

Valerie is amazing. first time in Galveston Texas. In I recommend pier club to everyone thats visits this beach.

Best dive bar on the island!

We were visiting Galveston for our friends 10 year anniversary and my birthday. We were looking for somewhere to take shots at midnight at to celebrate the beginning of my birthday and came across Island Pier Club. Valerie, the bartender, was extremely welcoming and at midnight she came around the bar with a lemon drop shot with a lit candle attached to the rim of the glass. Super thoughtful and special. She took great care of us.

My wife and I are locals, but we had never been to this bar. We met some friends there and had a great time. Brett is a great bartender, and we were treated like regulars. We will definitely be back.

Great neighborhood hangout that welcomes outsiders like me. Im there once or twice a month while on shore and feel comfortable just relaxing from boat! Thanks for friendly atmosphere.

Bartender Victoria was amazing! She is very friendly, prompt and always makes me laugh. There was a power outage while we were there and she kept right on going like it never even happened. I will definitely be back!

The bar was awesome, The Bartender was even better! That girl Aimee really knows how to make a drink, and make a person feel comfortable. I wish I could rent this place six stars

From Aurora Colorado Great atmosphere, great bartender, and good selection of music with a sound system that sounds great. Its a bit small but thats a good thing, seems its a lot of locals that frequent and most were pretty friendly. I would Definitely recommend stopping by and enjoying yourself.

After a wedding on the island and also closing down another bar this place was also recommend being just a couple blocks from where we were. Awesome atmosphere good way to finish off the night. I suck at pool.

Great friendly little bar, but for us NON SMOKERS THERES A VERY STRONG CIGARETTE SMELL. PLEASE Brian get a better smoke eater machine so we dont feel/smell like we smoked a carton of ciggies..,.... Thanks!

Cool bar thats just a block or so from the beach. They have a cool jukebox, one pool table (75 cents) and a laid back vibe. The service is great and,beer is always cold.

Its a good dive bar atmosphere. The bartenders are all very nice in the drinks are very good. Open till 2:00 a.m.

Its a great local dive that features very talented local musicians. It a nice getaway from the tourist packed hot spots on galveston. Just good ole sit back have a chat, drink a beer and watch a game here.

From San Antonio and this place is nice n cozy. Bartendress are very nice n got rock, oldies, pool table n 1 block away from the Beach. Got chairs in front to sit n smoke indoors and outside.Sells Mixed drinks. Yea..

Its a small quaint neighborhood bar. Went there for my 60th birthday, everyone was very nice, sang the birthday song. They had karaoke going on. I knew the bartender, it was very nice Older crowd but very nice.

Good service but the bar tender “Kevin” was very rude. Especially when you have to many dink’s by his standard. Good bar over all but, this place is for locals only I would not suggest this bar to people looking to have a good time.

Management and staff arent on the same page. Came with a group with an 18 year old after being told he would be able to enter the establishment and after arriving we were told he couldn’t come in by the bartender, very poor experience.

This is the bar that just had 2 bartenders arrested for serving a customer who left the bar in her car and hit 2 people, 1 died, 1 serious condition.Its a good bet this bar will be watched close by everyone now.

Dive bar for the local drunks. Cheap drinks friendly people. You can however smoke inside so just a fair warning to those who are not smokers.
