Massage Envy

Received a 80min massage from Ron. He was nice, but the massage was not the greatest. He only spent 15 minutes on my back, doing the routine they teach you in massage school; effleurage 3 times here, thumb there, occasional trigger pointing in the wrong area, etc. But the worst of it was the last 30 minutes with me laying face up while he scrolled his phone and occasionally squeezed my shoulder. I didn’t know what to say, I just kind of laid there astonished this was happening and counting down the moments until I could leave. The massage itself was mechanical, no warm up, not enough oil at times to where he would be pulling my skin instead of gliding. He talked more than I would have liked considering I said I was there to relax. In the end, I just wanted to get out of there. I still tipped 25% because a service is a service and I believe in always tipping, but days later… I am feeling kind of ripped off,my body hurts just as much as before, and I hate myself for not speaking up about the 30mins of phone scrolling. He didn’t even acknowledge he barely touched me those last 30 mins. It was so weird, and the most unprofessional service I’ve ever had to endure. Especially while laying unclothed and vulnerable, smh. Front desk was super nice though! But I won’t be going back here or referring anyone to this spa.

Brooke was amazing. I have had limited range of mobility in my neck for a few months now and after one session with her, I feel free again! Thank you Brooke ❤️

Ceaira gave me the best facial experience. I would recommend you to go see her to have your own skin analysis. She was gentle, patient and very informative about how I can improve my skin and keep my skin as youthful as possible. She also gave me product recommendations to help me maintain my skin until I get my next facial.

Received a great clarifying facial from Ceira. My skin glowed for several days after. She’s so great! I can’t wait to book again.

The massage envy folks are very unprofessional and complete waste of time.I made my appointment and in spite of reaching on time and followed their given instructions they failed to deliver. After check in, they made me wait for good 35-40 minutes before they can tell me that the therapist is running late today and they still weren’t sure when she will come. I had to cancel the appointment. Ladies at the reception were not concerned at all, as if these delays by the therapists are common and regular for them. They were least concerned about the morning time I wasted and in return got no relax instead got stressed.

They billed me for 1 year post cancellation. The store manager transferred me to the regional manager. The regional manager, via email, stated she would call to fix the issue. She cancelled the call last minute. Both the store manager and regional manager are not responding to my communications at this time.

Been going to this location for years and usually see Mauricio. He is amazing. Today couldn’t get in to see him and saw Mikey. He was fantastic. I am having some hip issues and he asked for what focus I wanted. When I told him about my hip issues he stated he was good at hip work. He did not disappoint. He hit places that really needed release. Excellent.

Why I waited 58 yrs to experience this bliss....Ill never know.The staff is delightful and Maurizio has magical hands....he is truly bringing me back to life....completely versed in the science of his craft.I praise God for him allowing me the opportunity to feel better than perhaps I ever have.I will continue this for the remainder of my days!Come one...come all to the most wholesome experience of your life....

I love Maurizio the massage therapist! He is always professional and versatile. He asks about problem areas and tailors each session to focus on my current needs. I always have more mobility in the muscles and joints, and all the office tension in my back and shoulders melts away. Thanks Maurizio!!

Was a member for years prior to covid. The quality of the experience varies widely - from front desk courtesy to massage therapist skill. Case in point, a close friend recently showed up at 4:30 for a 4:45 appointment only to be told that her appointment was at 5:15. She walked out and went across the street to make an appointment at Hand and Stone which is several notches up in qality. If you do find a good ME therapist, chances are theyll leave within several months. Lots of upselling is pushed on the therapists by management. Not recommended.

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED LONG TERM FORMER CUSTOMER.MEMBERS BEWARE!!! Read the fine print. Even if you continue paying ME for over a year, while under Covid 19 restrictions, they wont do ANYTHING to help accommodate additional credits PAID to them.The manager was rude, self-righteous, and extremely dismissive. She could care less that I paid in over $2000 and had received NO SERVICE. The only way to use my credits was to continue paying them just to use the credits that I already paid over $2000 for. Or, use up all 34.5 hours of credits in just 60 days.With memberships now at or over $75 per month, I would highly recommend joining an alternative company that offers the same services, with better pricing, and actual customer service support.

Massage Envy in Short Pump is absolutely incredible. I’ve never had a bad experience with them. Everyone from the front desk to your massage therapist is so kind and helpful! Karen IS THE BEST!!! She is the sweetest & is very intentional to focus on the areas you mention. She does a great job and I would recommend her to anyone!

Aasha was an amazing massage therapist. She listened to my needs and did a very thorough assessment with me. She ensured comfort throughout and provided professional recommendations after the service. And her skills? Top notch! Would recommend to anyone!

This was my daughter’s first massage. She enjoyed it and was comfortable during the experience. I’ll admit, we were late arriving, but I thought she would still be able to get the full “hour” (50 min or whatever is typical), as the front desk person led us to believe. She definitely did not get time added on, so that was disappointing. She got 35-40 min or so.Beware: Factor in traffic!! Being late is an expensive mistake.

Ive usually had pretty good experience at this location, but my last visit was just horrible. I had a 90 minute session, and my therapist started out okay but after about 10 minutes she started to fall asleep! I had to keep nudging her hand, or shaking my shoulder when she would just stop out of no where to wake her up. I feel like I wasted my time and money during that session. Several times I would even hear her start to snore. Ive never had an experience like that in my life at one of these places. I get the lights are dim, and theres relaxing music going on but, when youre there taking my money to do a service for me, I dont expect you to be asleep for the majority of it. I dont know if anyone else has had this experience with her before but I was just so in disbelief I just walked out.

Marliesha is a great therapist. She is always courteous and attentive to my needs. She suggest things that can help you. She has excellent pressure adjustment so that my massage needs are met. I always feel great and know that I have had a massage worth my money. She is awesome and highly recommended by me!! I just love her!!

This was my first time going to Massage Envy. I went to the Short Pump location and had the pleasure of getting a massage from Marleisha. She was attentive to my particular areas of pain and made sure that I was comfortable throughout. At the end she gave me some recommendations and tips to try to alleviate my chronic pain at home. It was truly such a relaxing experience. I will be back because of her!

Everyone was amazing and attentive. Maurizio was the best and did the perfect correcting when I said too deep or a little deeper. He once forgot his non-moving hand was digging into my tailbone and when I told him, he took time to massage that slight pain out. Booked him two more times at the end of the session!

Short Pump ME front desk is very polite and friendly. I’ve been good with 3 therapists and one I didn’t like. However I did like Karen. She is great,, but very hard to get in with her. I do miss my favorite 2 at the Commonwealth ME location, but both of them left and I tried the Willow Lawn ME location and I liked my therapist there a lot too for the first session, but I could never get them on the phone to schedule me again. I called so many times for like a month. Finally, I gave up! One thing I don’t like at the Short Pump ME is some therapists take forever to come back to the room after the initial talk, And many finish 10 minutes early so there is a good 20 minutes not included in your times. I had one therapist one time finish 15 minutes early. And what are u supposed to say -“hey keep going my time is not up”. Lol

The people at massage envy short Pump are so friendly and welcoming. I get 90 minutes with Maurizio and it was wonderful. He really can feel the knots & spasms. I see why he is hard to get an appointment with. A massage once a month a real gift to myself!

This was my second massage by Gabrielle and has not failed. She’s a very professional soft spoken patient, respectful, friendly therapist and she keeps the environment comfortable for a soothing massage. Her deep tissue massages are worth the time and price. She’s very experienced in her job and deserves all the good things coming to her and more. Thank you for yet another great experience Gabrielle!

Gabby was really knowledge about what I need even when I wasn’t sure. When I left my hour massage I felt immediate relief in my neck and lower back. I felt very comfortable with Gabby, and I definitely booked another massage with her. I recommend you do so as well.

I have always had wonderful sessions at Massage Envy. Marc gives me a deep tissue massage and I never get off of the table feeling sore. He is amazing! I get monthly massages from him and he was highly recommended by my former massage therapist. To me, thats a wonderful team approach which ensures the client is satisfied.I have been a member of Massage Envy for approximately 4 years and everyone is always professional, pleasant and very helpful. I always advise my friends to become a member and get massages regularly. Its the best treat for yourself, ever!

The Massage Therapist Karen was excellent, thus worthy of 5 Stars. The front desk and manage is 2 to 3 stars. There is poor communication and often surprises. I have been a member of ME at three locations. Two were 5 Star experiences in all regard. The Short Pump store has an Essie number of scheduling issues and changes with little or no warning.

I got my first facial with Kristina and it was amazing. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She explained everything she was doing and how it helped my face. It was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. My skin was so refreshed. I will be seeing her again soon and I highly recommend her!

I’ve been getting massages for 2 years by a wonderful therapist at a different location. My regular therapist is wonderful. I have herniated discs, stenosis and my back pain was bad enough that I couldn’t wait until next month for a massage. I made an appointment with a lady at the Short Pump location and didn’t know what to expect- would she be as great as my regular therapist? As soon as I met Susan D. I was comfortable. She has a wonderful personality and was very welcoming and took time to ask why I get massages. She asked about my back pain. As soon as she started I knew she was the right fit for me. She was AMAZING! It was the best massage I’ve ever had! Not one of the best. THE BEST! I was so relaxed. When I checked out I made an appointment with her for next month and I’m already counting down the days. Susan D. Is a gem!

My partner and I were gifted a 50 minute massage here and it was very nice. The receptionist at the front was very respectful, walked us both through the sign in process, knew our names on arrival, and made sure we were fully comfortable with what we were consenting to in terms of areas to focus on and avoid which I was grateful for. Marleisha was my therapist and I had a great experience with her, especially when she diagnosed an old injury I forgot about and was able to work out some of that tension as well as offered some ideas to help minimize pain due to that injury in the future. I want to go back soon!

I am traveling out of town and tweaked a muscle in my back. So since I have a ME membership I scheduled an appointment with Gabriel with ME at Short Pump location. The staff there was amazing! And most of all Gabi was perfect with her technique and listening to issues that I had.👍👍👍👍👍

Massage Envy in Short Pump has very engaging, personable, friendly employees that are great to see every time you walk in. They just make you feel like you are their most important client and want to ensure you stay as a valued guest! Marleisha is AMAZING!!! She makes you feel so much better than when you walked in, her care for your well-being is felt in every interaction plus she’s super personable! Just an overall great massage therapist!

Maurizio and the staff were all great. I was greeted promptly with a smile. Checked in right away, and one of the ladies SHOWED me to the bathroom (in lieu of directions), as this is the largest Massage Envy, and proceeded to a much needed massage. My profession in the medical field over the years has given me much neck and shoulder pain, not only did Maurizio go right to the areas of need, but was quite knowledgeable and made my pain and mobility 95% better! There was only a hint of the pain the next day. I just kept stretching and drinking water and it released. Thank you Maurizio! Then upon check out the ladies up front and I had a lovely conversation and they were patient at looking at the schedule to help me be seen again. What more could you ask for?! Love this location!! In these stressful times I wish we could find customer service and professionalism like this everywhere. Can’t wait for my next visit!

The person answering the phone was so nasty and rude and hung up in my face very unprofessional I tried calling back to speak to a manager she would not answer the phone all because I had to cancel my session due to being called in to work I am a nurse so I would not recommend this location at all I will continue to call until I get a manager

I had a great experience at this location with Tremont the other day as my massage therapist. He cares about your comfort while being able to give firm pressure. Very attuned to where your knots are. Fun conversation too. I would definitely go back and see him again.

Leigh Ann is SIMPLY AMAZING at what she does. Her knowledge, expertise and experience are unmatched. I trust her implicitly and my skin has her to thank!! She educates me each and every time that I come in. I love my time with her!!Marleisha the Massage Therapist is OUTSTANDING. Shes so knowledgeable about the human body and what she does is therapeutic and healing. Shes AMAZING.

Kristina has been so sweet in helping me get my skin back to tip top shape. She gives good advice and never gives the pushy upsell like so many other places do. I’m definitely seeing and feeling a difference in my skin. I highly recommend this facial service.

I see Gabby at the Short Pump location. She’s excellent! She takes the time to check in before each appointment to see if there is anything new going on she should know about and she’s extremely pleasant. Highly recommend booking an appointment with her if you don’t care too much for deep tissue massages. Too much pressure hurts for me and Gabby is able to adjust perfectly so that the massage is relaxing and not a painful experience.

Marilyn was absolutely the best. I have been getting massages for about 10 years. At top notch spas in Atlantic City at the casinos. She was by far the best I had. Will be her regular customer ❤️

I just went to Massage Envy yesterday to get help with whiplash pain resulting from car accident. Marina was my massage therapist, and she did such a wonderful job of taking me out of pain and helping take away the stress I was feeling. She applied just the right pressure, and used the right techniques. She is a great listener, and was sensitive to my particular issues. I will definitely be coming back to Marina. I’ve been a member for more than a decade. I wish it was easier to get an appointment, but I do love that it ‘forces’ me to try to take time for myself.

Marc is an incredible massage therapist. I have been seeing him over 5 years and each time he asks first is there something specific I need and then explains as he goes through the session. No two times are alike, as he is professional and can feel what I need. He has given me ideas, like exercises I can do to help. He is professional, considerate, and definitely experienced. He builds trust with his clients and adds humor to relax. He knows when I want to talk and when I don’t…he reads people well. There is a reason why his schedule is always full…he is the best!

It was OK. My therapist was very nice. However, to start off when I arrived the girl at the front desk told me I was good to go and go have a seat back in the relaxation room. So as I did and waited as my appointment time came my therapist came in and stated there was actually paperwork I needed to complete first. I walked back to the front desk area and one of the girls at the front desk was trying to pull up the information to get me situated on multiple tablets that seemed to not be working. Around 10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to have started my therapist told me she would give me this time back. Finally walked back to the room and appointment started between 10 - 15 minutes behind schedule. The start of the massage went very well. Seemed to have gotten a little lazy towards the end. Then my appointment finished a little earlier then the original hour and I also never got my 10 - 15 minutes back either. Average to below average experience.

Kristina is awesome!! I love our monthly appts. She teaches me so much about skincare and I always feel so pampered while I am there. Would recommend her to anyone and everyone.!!!

Maurizio is fantastic at short pump location. He has fantastic communication upon arrival asking about areas that need my targeting. He has been the best so far that Ive found to be able to get the knots out my shoulders. And my back with the perfect pressure I desire. I highly recommend him for all your needs.

I’ve been going to message envy for a year and I always have Karen as my masseuse. She is one of the nicest woman I’ve met. She’s professional, strong, and knows exactly which points to concentrate on. She respects your quality time with yourself and talks to you only when needed.I also started doing facials with Kristina and she is amazing!

This was hands down the best deep tissue massage Ive ever experienced. Marleisha was able to pin point and identify stressed and tensed up muscles with amazing accuracy. I will definitely be returning for more sessions!!!!

I have been a member for six years now, and though I normally go to the Willow Lawn location, I occasionally book this location for therapists I adore, such as Maurizio and Michael G. Maurizio is very knowledgeable, listens to you and addresses your individual needs! Maurizio and Michael are both wonderful, completely different, therapists with great training, technical knowledge, understanding and care for their client. My experiences have always been wonderful with them, and all of the Short Pump staff!

Not sure how long Ive been going to ME, but ever since Marleisha has been my Therapist. She is amazing at what she does. I gifted a session to a friend and recommended Marleisha and she expressed the same gratitude. Marleisha hands are hypnotic; almost every visit I fall asleep on her table. She relaxes me. I can tell this is more than a job for her...she knows my body and knows when things are out of whack.

Gabi is always professional and provides excellent massage therapy. She is highly recommended for relaxing massages. The Massage Envy at Short Pump has always treated me with respect over the years. Never experienced a problem.

I made an appointment to use my last massage from my package deal that I already paid for, confirming with the team member on the phone it was my last massage from my package at this location. After I had my massage, I get home to find a charge on my debit card. Come to find out, I was given the wrong info and did not have any leftover massage from my package at this location, only at a different Massage Envy. No one even verified this with me while I was physically there. The manager I spoke with just basically told me, ‘sorry we have new staff’. And to add, they double charged my card so I had to contact the manager, yet again. How annoying this was on the customer end. Not going back to this location.

I made an appointment with massage envy for a massage this Thursday and a stretch session tomorrow. I just received a call from massage envy who stated I had missed my appointment for today and I would be charged the full amount. Question. Since there was obviously miscommunication I would have appreciated some consideration. I have read very good reviews however based on my first visit with them I can certainly find a more customer friendly environment. Beware of chain stores!

Everyone was amazing! From the front staff to the massage therapist Marina it was perfect and much over due. It had been years since my last massage and I realize how important regular maintenance is for our bodies. I will be coming back every month...maybe more lol. If you are considering it you should request Marina!

The experience was exceptional from the moment we walked thru the door. The whole staff was happy to service us and kept excited from start to finish. My therapist Angela was an angel. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She was sweet and patient and did an amazing job removing the tension from my shoulders and lower back. I cant wait to see her again.

I have been going to Marc for over four years! He is one of the best massage therapists I have ever had. I feel like a new person when I leave. I drive 30 minutes and pass many other massage options on the way.

Cancellation 15-minutes before 1st scheduled massage when I was pulling in to location. Cancellation on same day as 2nd massage without any other availability. Now I cant get out of my contract because they arent at fault!? This is like signing up for a gym that is open 24/7, but not open when you go to use it yet still charges you each month... then when you go to cancel, they say you couldve used a different location I scheduled an appointment at this location!!!!DONT SIGN UP FOR A CONTRACT!!!!!! Its like a timeshare

Kristina does an amazing job! I recently had my second facial with her and she has been very kind and knowledgeable since day 1. I have already noticed improvements in my skin and I’m so grateful for her expertise.

I tell everyone I meet to go to Massage Envy! I’ve worked with multiple therapists over the past year and a half and all of them are brilliant! Marina is definitely one of the best, she listens, she’s great with recommending treatments and is knowledgeable about the add-ons, but also never makes you feel pressured to add more to your session if you don’t want it. And she has helped so much with different problem areas I have!Leanne is who I see for facials and I can not recommend her highly enough. Getting a facial with her is like the best kind of therapy session. She’s so great at talking with clients about their life while also providing top notch skin care. After covid hit and they were finally able to open back up, Leanne (and everyone) was so good about making sure I felt safe and clean in the environment. It was so nice!Basically, go to Massage Envy. You won’t be sorry!

Mikey was a fantastic massage therapist! I was experiencing some major neck and shoulder pain. He used a combination of deep tissue and light touch to really work and loosen up my muscles. When I left I have almost full range of mobility with my neck and I was virtually pain free. Would highly recommend anyone who prefers deeper massages.

My massage therapist Mickey was PHENOMENAL! He listened to my concerns and focused on those exact tension areas. I felt 100% more relaxed afterwards. I will definitely be requesting him as my masseuse monthly!Also, the young African American lady (I hate I forgot her name) who checked me in was super pleasant and even suggested the CBD enhancer for my next visit.I excited to try it!

Leigh Anne is incredible and always provides and excellent service. She is very knowledgeable and gives me great tips for taking care of my skin. Leigh Anne is very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. Do not hesitate to book an appointment with her!!!!

Ive been a massage envy customer for many years. Marc, at the short pump location in Virginia, is the best! His fingers are like magnets to my trouble spots. I have chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain and he always does a fantastic job. About 2 weeks ago, I woke up with a stiff neck and I waited a few days, trying other things to make it better, but Marc was the key to making it better. Thank you Marc! You are amazing!!!

Marilyn was great, the massage was wonderful and firm like I prefer it. She had great communication about what she was doing which I appreciated. The only part of the whole situation that was obnoxious was that it took me over 25 minutes to check out. The person was at the desk by herself and had to stop and check people in. It totally wiped away all the relaxing that Marilyn had just done. She had to call another person in the building at least 4 times because she was having a hard time checking me out but never once said “hey, there are a lot of people up here waiting, can you come help me?” It would also explain why I had called several times in the last couple weeks to ask about the gift card I had and I was put on hold and no one ever came back. Marilyn and the massage was great, the customer service in the rest of the building is severely lacking. So maybe, to get a better experience, arrive 20 minutes early and take care of payments up front and bring cash for tip.

Kaitlyn is amazing! Ive seen her twice and decided to get a membership to keep seeing her more affordably! This location is super friendly and helpful, everyone including the front desk staff have made my visits flawless!

I have been coming to Massage Envy Short Pump for 2 years now. My 1st year I had 2 different therapist because of them leaving for new jobs etc. This last year Ive been with Marleisha. She is professional, sweet, and easy to talk to. Sometimes we have girl chat and sometimes I just relax. All the staff here make me feel welcome and they are very accommodating.

I went to the Short Pump VA location for a weekend wedding anniversary celebration and I was seen by therapist Kaitlyn! She was extremely professional and even though it wasn’t a deep massage her technique help to loosen my problematic areas and put me to sleep at one point. She has great technique working on the nape of the neck , hands and feet! Overall a wonderful therapist!!!

This message is about Gabby. I have been using her as my massage therapist for the past couple of years. When I 1st my 1st came in 2 years ago I didnt think that I needed her because I was physically going to the gym and working out.. I did not realize how tight my Ill type my muscles were. When I say were that its a keyboard If for past tense because Gabby worked them out and helped to loosen me up and feel better... She is very good at what she do and is experienced

Ive been a client for over 10 years, first in NJ, and now in VA. I cant imagine my life without regular visits to Massage Envy! Their quality therapy is an integral part of my life. My therapist Karen is incredible!!

Upon entering Massage Envy, me and my wife were greeted with a smile and a welcome. The staff walked me and my wife through what to expect on a first time there. We then was introduced to our massage therapist. I was then introduced to Sasha, very professional, wasn’t rough as I experienced in the past with other companies, music was very relaxing and the the massage was so good I went to sleep. I would recommend requesting her to anyone who visit the Short Pump location in VA. Thanks to the staff at Massage Envy for making our first time a great experience.

Horrible experience with Front Desk and General Manager Ashley @ Short Pump LocationIf I could give this rating no stars then I would. It wouldnt let me post this review without checking a star. Today was an awful experience. I had a massage today... the massage that I got from Beth was amazing. When I was exiting out after my massage I stopped by the front desk to checkout. Ashline was the front desk clerk that I spoke with. Upon checking out, I asked her if she could pull my payment in two days when it was due. She replied pretty much no, that I would need to pay for todays service. I explained to her that I was in a contract and my payment drafts on the 13th of every month which was two days away. She then replies that she didnt know how else to explain it to me very rudely and she seemed very annoyed in front of the other guests that were checking in and out for their massages. So by this time I am getting upset because I didnt like how she was speaking to me. She then states that she would get her manager and walks off. So after about a couple of minutes had gone by another lady comes out named Ashley to the desk and states that she was the General Manager and basically reiterates what Asline said. She then gets very rude and starts being very disrespectful talking down to me trying to explain the policy. Things got extremely escalated between her and I out in front of the guests. I told her that I did NOT appreciate how she was speaking to me and that she was very rude and unprofessional to talk to me like that in front of the guests. I have never in my life experienced poor customer service from any establishment ever as I did today from Short Pump Massage Envy. Ashely needs re training on how to be a General Manager and Ashline needs training period on how to provide stellar customer service at the front desk. First impressions are ever lasting and after today I no longer want to continue my membership with Massage Envy. I have elevated my complaint higher up and have definitely reached out to corporate as well.

Ive gotten many messages in my life, including ones with all the bells and whistles (hot stone, aromatherapy, etc). Yesterday, I got a simple, 60 minute relaxation massage with Angela at Massage Envy, Short Pump. Im not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best massages Ive ever had. Will definitely be asking for her by name for future appointments.

Zahkila and Angela are AWESOME massage therapist!! Very professional and really take the time to assist you in understanding the types of services offered to tailor fit your needs..My advice is to book early.. especially with these two Pros as early appointments are hard to come by. That tells me that they are in high demand and their experience and quality of the massage are second to none!!I ALWAYS feel like a 30 year old when I leave...and heck, Im 51!Stay safe all and thank you so much!😃👍👍

I walked into Massage Envy on June 16th feeling achy. My hips had been hurting, and all the tension in my body seemed to have collected in my neck, shoulders, and back. My MT Marc asked about areas that needed work and I shared openly. 90 minutes later, I left Massage Envy feeling an amazing release of tension and an empowering sense that I had just helped my overall health. Marc KNOWS how tension feels in the body. I don’t know how he does it (well, he is a trained professional!), but he hones in on problem areas and just works the tension out! Six hours later, I enjoyed my first deep rest in week. I am so thankful for all of the medical community members that help us all, and for me that community includes my message therapist. I traveled to this location due to staffing shortages at other massage envy locations. This one has been fantastic so far! They have a lot of therapists so you can try out variety of styles and pressures. The front desk staff are friendly and patient, making good suggestions based on your individual needs. Ive had Marilyn twice now, and shes wonderful. I requested one deep tissue massage, and the next time a medium to firm pressure. She is a pro at finding your knots and working them out. I cant wait for the face limitations to be removed (covid precautions) so I can have my tmj and migraines addressed. Marilyn still found other pressure points on the body to relieve some of those pain points. Love love love her! (I appreciated that she has a very gentle, patient, soft demeanor, which helped me to relax. This is especially nice for those with ptsd or any other related trauma. It really set the tone for relaxation. )This place has a TON of variety. Highly recommend giving it a try! (Thanks Marilyn! )

Marleshia is by far the best massage therapist I have EVER had!!! She customs your massage exactly how you would like and always finds my tense areas- on top of that she is amazingly friendly and always makes you feel comfortable She is a MUST go to!!!

First time. She sat the whole time during massage using only one hand but i thought ok maybe its hard for her to stand for a long period of time so I gave her the benefit of the doubt. more than three times I know for sure she fell asleep while rubbing. she literally stopped rubbing me long enough that I-picked up my head and said Im sorry are you ok? she said oh no I just lightly touch the muscle and stay there for a few seconds but when I turned around her eyes were closedthis happened many times of just stopping and starting back like oh i was sleeping. I kept thinking OK she stopped again and I would look in her eyes would be closed. I still tipped her because its Christmas and the manager was in a meeting and I left I was more concerned then angry thinking something was wrong with her.

My massage therapist Zhakila is the best!! I have been her customer for several years now and she never disappoints!! I love how she already knows where I need her focus to be so to say that she uses a customized approach is a bit of an understatement! She is so sweet and definitely deserves a raise!!!

I have been coming to the Massage Envy in Short Pump for over 5 years solely to visit Beth. Im certain I pass no less than 3 Massage Envy locations that are closer to my home but theres only been one other Massage Therapist whose skills were equal to Beths and she also used to be at this location. The best way to describe her technique is a firm, effective but gentle and relaxing massage. She is fantastic at working out the tension in a way that is soothing and never painful. She also helped me loosen up my shoulder once when it semi locked up and I was having pain lifting it. I rate massages based on my comfort level and I almost always pretty much go to sleep during a massage with Beth. If she leaves, I dont know what I would do...

As always Karen did a Phenomenal job of getting my back and body back in order. She is Amazing and after getting massages for over 15 years is without a doubt the best massage therapist I have ever had.

The staff is wonderful, kind, and the COVID preparations were very appropriate. This was my first massage with Angela and she was wonderfully communicative about my needs for this massage and communicated well about pressure throughout. Kaitlyn is amazing! Her technique is what keeps me coming back. Usually I walk in sore and exhausted and walk out energized. She has even put me to sleep on more than one occasion, which I can’t manage to do at night...so there’s that. If you’re trying to decide which therapist to see she is definitely one of their top therapists.

I had my first visit at the Short Pump location on 5/25 and though I’ve gone to several places before I had a very impressive experience with the staff and environment. And Katelyn was hands down the best masseuse I’ve ever had— attentive to detail, deft and serious about her practice, and solicitous to the client’s care.

I don’t go as often as I should but when I do I can definitely tell the next day that I’ve been. My neck and back did have knots to be worked out that time didn’t allow but it really doesn’t feel much different today. If Marina wasn’t so focused on my scars and asking how I got them and if my hair was real or not it might’ve been better. A massage should be relaxing and it definitely didn’t feel that way.

Maurizio is the absolute best!! I have been coming to him for 4 years and I have had an outstanding experience every time. He has treated me thru both of my pregnancies which was very helpful! Highly recommend!!

Holy cow, was I blown away by my experience. Everyone was so welcoming and engaging from the moment I walked through the door and the entire experience felt tailor-made for me. They asked all about my problem areas, where to focus, where to avoid, and how deep I prefer my pressure prior to starting and Tremontel made sure to check in along the way. Also: you don’t even know how lucky you are if you get the chance to schedule with Tre. An absolute gentleman and a spectacular masseuse - I will be sure to request him the next time I’m in. Overall: 11/10, in love with the entire experience.

What I like most about Massage Envy as a franchise company is that you have options on who you get your services from and anyone who gets a massage/facial on a regular basis knows its everything to get the right person for what youre looking for.Now as far as this particular location: Though I have nothing bad to say about the other therapists I have seen, I recommend Xianghong(goes by Susie) you can tell she isnt there just to give a massage and be done, she genuinely wants to help you and focus on the spots she believes need the most attention.The front desk staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and its refreshing to see that they know me by name already.The place is always clean and exactly what you expect when walking in to get a treatment from the lobby to the quiet room to the massage room. The rates are fare to me from someone coming from Miami, so take that for what its worth.Recommend to anyone, and recommend giving all the therapists a shot to find your personal best.

Not thrilled with this place. Ive gone to spas off and on for the past 20 yrs (though it had been a very long time since Id been bc I simply dont have time in my schedule), and have yet to have an experience like this one. Customer service was great, everyone was super friendly, and the masseuse was nice enough, but I felt like throughout the massage itself I was constantly being thrown a sales pitch to become a member and come back regularly. During. The. Massage. I felt guilted for not having gotten a massage in so long, explained that I have a hectic schedule and was only fitting it in on that day bc it was a special occasion, and still the sales pitch. Really? And on top of the LACK of relaxation there, my back has been hurting since. So thats awesome.

Marleisha worked continuously throughout my appointment to ensure I received a full body massage. Marleisha has a great personality and always does a wonderful job.

Always professional, responsive to my needs and requests, Marc is able to individualize each treatment and just truly goes above and beyond to help my chronic pain. The lady that did my massage name was Marina. She is wonderful person very professional. I was very nervous when I first got my massage in March but she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed.

Gabi does an Amazing job, she takes her time and makes sure I am always comfortable, she definitely is very good at what she does. I’ve never fallen asleep during a massage but she’s made it happen every time I go to her.

I really enjoyed my massage session with Hope. She asked thorough questions about what type of therapy I wanted her to focus on and made me feel comfortable during the entire session. I can really feel a difference today and will definitely be back!!

Be careful this place will rip you off .I had 8 sessions prepaid for and were unable to use then due to health issues.When I did try and use them they informed me I no longer could use any of the massages as I had to use in 60 days. They just scammed me out of 480.00. The sad part is they think it is funny and don’t care.

Took 1 star off, because they still require a 1 yr contract to get membership pricing. Other massage places no longer require a contract. Aasha was fantastic. I have seen her before and normally she is booked so I was excited to be able to get back in with her. She is very attentive and one of the best massage therapists I have seen at Massage Envy.

Let me start with stating I have been a member at this location for over ten years. Never has the customer service been so horrible. The front desk is RUDE at best. I have been threatened by staff and they have refused to assist in ANY MANNER.I have made multiple attempts to get information about my account which they have refused to give me. Claire flat out told me she would not answer any questions about being charged TWICE in a month - which caused me overdraft fees. But was told by Claire that it didn’t matter. When I asked for cancellation paperwork, Claire told me we’ll get it to you some time this week when my manager gets to it.This is after she stated in a voicemail that she didn’t have my email on file but yet she read it to me today.I would like to add that they cancelled my membership without my knowledge so I have lost all my credits (This totaled several HUNDRED DOLLARS. I guess they were desperate for money. But they also didnt communicate their decision to cancel my membership in any manner. As a result, I wasnt able to make an informed decision about cancelling my massage at another location. Instead I had to pay money I didnt have. So now they have stolen MORE MONEY.The owners use to be amazing. I guess they have lost interest in their business. Just so sad.

I had such an awesome experience! Zena checked me in & took care of getting everything set up for me then Michael was my therapist and worked miracles on my back, neck, & shoulders. He was funny & kind...and used the right amount of pressure so it was perfect. I cant wait to go back!!

Massage Envy has some of the worst policies I’ve ever seen. I was a member for over two years and had to cancel due to finances. Call in to use those credits and they’re telling me they’ve expired after 60 days??? So I pay for massages in advance but have to use them on their schedule not mine? That’s not very relaxing. Not to mention in order to cancel you have to either show up in person or make a phone call, then be told they have to email you a cancellation form, all of which they expect you to read all the fine print. No one verbally gave me any warning of these ridiculous policies. Never going here again. They also have such high attrition rates with therapists as soon and you find one you like they’re gone and you have to start all over with a new therapist.

Wanted to surprise my wife and her friend with a spa day and they enjoined it. Just unfortunate that she didnt get the facials I was told she would get. Front desk staff told me it wasnt on her account, but specifically read out aloud from the notes, Voucher for 3 facials... and faded away when she realized what she had read. Spoke to management and was basically told theres nothing to be done because of anothEr staff members mistake. I feel as a customer, no matter what, if Im promised something it should be given. Wouldnt be surprised if they removed the voucher from her file/account. Also didnt help that the manager had made rude comments in the background regarding the situation as I was first speaking to the front desk staff. Definitely wont patron this location anymore. Poor customer service isnt worth the money. However, Thanks to Beth for taking care of my wifes massage. She enjoyed it. Thats worth 5 stars alone.

I’ve always had a positive experience at this location. The manager Persia (possibly spelled wrong) is rarely there anymore which is saddening. I really enjoyed how helpful she was and she made great therapist recommendations based on my needs. I wish all of the staff was as attentive as her, however I’ve yet to had a bad experience with any of them. The 4 stars is because I don’t see Persia when I come in anymore.

When I originally booked my appointment, the girl on the phone wasn’t the sweetest. Wouldn’t say she was rude either per-say, let’s just say if I didn’t really NEED the massage, I would’ve changed my mind. I made the appt, after their long speech about cancellation, tardiness etc.They definitely made sure I knew not to be late or cancel. If I did it should be 24 hours before or I would be charged partial or full price. My appt was for 1pm Monday.(specifically bc I’m off on Monday) I received a call at 4:34pm SUNDAY rescheduling my appt. That’s NOT 24 hour notice. Anyway, I got there to my rescheduled appt, the girl at the front was really nice. My massage therapist was also very nice! A great conversationalist. However, I believe we started at 10:17 (my appt was at 10am) and I’m sure she talked, without massaging, for Atleast 10 more of those minutes. I hate to be so crucial, but I got the 90 minute one for a reason, and about 15 minutes of those (not including the consultation time) was wasted. Oh, and my body feels very moisturized. But that’s about it. My neck was the best part. I’ve had better most definitely. Not really worth the money. Time wasn’t equally spaced out, bottom half was semi-rushed. But she’s a great person it seems and very personable.UPDATE: the Owner, Jason, reached out to me And had a very GENUINE and concerned conversation with me for about 30 minutes. It’s people like him that allow consumers to open their hearts to second chances and benefit of a doubts! I will be returning in the next week to re-do my massage! Terrible Communications from booking service was to have 3 only had 2 can you please text me my next 2 appointments and how many I have setup and how many people can I use of my Envy passes since October 31st was messed up I even communicated with someone in your office about this transaction and they told me what I had to do and I called the WINCHESTER OFFICE AND they told what to do and transferred the hours right ✅ away when I called back whomever I talked with said they got the 3 hours and we were good to go.I then called for 3 more hours because I know how hard it is to book appointments especially 3 with you as you are very busy.Margo

Marc has been working with me through many sports injuries (and resulting surgeries), and is always attentive to my limitations. He listens to what I need and works through them thoroughly. He also listens to my bad jokes; he has the best laugh and is always upbeat and friendly!

Ive been a massage envy member for many years. Mauricio is my usual favourite therapist, but Calvin has wonderful technique and he also does stretch work and really gets the knots out.

My 60 minute massage was scheduled for 8pm. I arrived and checked in by 7:40pm. I was not taken back to the room until about 8:15pm, the massage did not begin until closer to 8:20pm and it ended at 9pm so I did not even receive my full session time. Very disappointed! This is not the first time something like this has happened either. I will be canceling my massage envy membership and taking my business elsewhere.

First facial I’ve had in years. Kristina was excellent both in her technique and in explaining the steps. It was almost as relaxing as a full massage!

The staff was professional and greeted you with kindness. My therapist was excellent, Deborah really did an excellent job on my areas that I told her I felt discomfort.

I really like Maurizio! He gives the best massage and tailors his work on your individual needs. He keeps me coming back! I highly recommend him!

I went in yesterday for an appointment with Angela and she was absolutely perfect! Made my experience the best it possibly could have been. The ladies at the front desk were also wonderful. I did not get there names unfortunately.

I had a great visit from the time I walked in the front door until the time I left I had a 90 minute hot stone massage with Shelly and it was spectacular I booked my next appointment before I left and now I feel like Im floating on a cloud. Good job Massage Envy and they also called me to remind me of my appointment prior to that time and I greatly appreciate that also.

I am a long time customer of Massage Envy and used several massage therapists. Katie is outstanding. She goes the extra mile and listens to what I need at each session. She is a true asset to the company.

Front desk staff was horrible. The service was ok. I was in town for an event and booked here for some relaxation. It was nothing like what I expected, and it all started when I first walked in the door. Everyone at the front desk seemed to be bothered and had an attitude. I dont think anyone wanted to be at work that day. Even once my massage was over, someone different was at the front and didnt seem to want to be at work that day either. Needless to say that I wont be back.

Really enjoyed my 60 minute massage. Marilyn did an excellent job and applied enough pressure to loosen up tight muscles. Ill be going back again next month!

From the time I walked in til the time I left the staff was very helpful and professional. My massage therapist was Aasha. Very nice, helpful, and my massage was tailored perfectly to my needs.

The WORST customer service ever.First they cancelled my appointment and didnt tell me.Then they set me up with a horrible therapist.When I called to cancel my membership Brandy hung up on me. I called back and Jason answered and transferred me to them and again she hung up on me. She then attempted to charge my card 100.00 for what reason IDK. But Ive notified my bank and they are blocked the transactions and sent me a new card. Again 3 weeks later they attempted to charge my card 100.00 (the membership is ONLY 50$ by the way) They keep calling and when I answer they hang up. Now Im seeking legal counsel because I feel like Im being harassed.The customer service is HORRIBLEIVE TRIED 3 different therapist they were all HORRIBLE.Dont waste your money or time.You can go sit in a massage chair in the mall and be better off. -__-

While I have no information about the quality of massage available,I do find their online appointment system and customer service extremely lacking. I was given a gift certificate as a Christmas present. I set up an online appointment after which I recieved what sounded like a confirmation call. Come to find out they hadnt scheduled my appointment at all. The less than help woman behind the desk then tries to bump me another location 20 minutes away. I work in customer service and let me assure you, this is not how it is done.

Marina is amazing! She really takes the time in finding out what you like and don’t like. I always come out of my massages feeling amazing.

Hope is a very good masseuse. This was my first session with her and she did a good job. I came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. I look forward to our next appointment.

I have been a member for about a year and a half. I have tried several people here and about 75% of the massages I have had here are very mediocre. My problem is the communication, trying to make appts and getting someone on the phone is probably the worst I have ever had trying to reach a business. Every time I try to book an appt by phone, I have to call atleast 3-4 times, no one ever returns my calls, I have to call back and hope I get a live person to finally make an appt. They started a texting thing about 4-5 months ago where you can text a number instead of calling (I guess others have complained about the lack of answering the phone) and I have tried that several times to no avail...that doesnt work either and trying to book one online is hopeless. I now have been trying to get a credit on my account going on 3 wks out as they charged my card to much for tips, I have spoken to someone twice and emailed 3 times and still no credit or any response back in over a week after the last email I sent. I cancelled my membership as its become a hassle dealing with them!

She worked in all my problem areas and not just a few minutes and went to other areas like me at do. She listened and really helped me. She was best therapist she was firm as I needed. She is a keeper for sure.
