This is the second time Ive been here and Im so glad I came by this place. Im from out of state and it has been bumpy trying to find a quality place like I have back home, but I think Ive found one with Sokhas. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. its a lovely atmosphere and a clean environment. Both Kim and tom whove done my manicures have been kind, took their time and were attentive. Its always nice walking in when lynas at the front as shes so welcoming. I drive 30 mins to this place and its well worth it! I highly recommend it💕💕

I have nothing but AMAZING things to say about this place. Lena, the owner is so kind and welcoming. The place is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. All the polish used is Lena’s line, vegan, organic, and cruelty free. There are no strong chemical smells and the prices are so fair and affordable. Nancy did my pedicure and manicure. She was extremely thorough and did a great job. I will definitely be making Sokah Nails my new nail place! Do yourself a favor and stop by!

Great experience with Amanda and Chanel! Gel pedicure, gel x manicure. They were super friendly and careful about not cutting us or being too rough. Clean place and just a great experience overall! Also Lyna was super friendly the entire time and made the experience that much more enjoyable. Everyone was very patient with my grandma and they helped her get around and did her pedicure and manicure wonderfully too! Thank yall!!

New Customers Beware!!I am new to the area and decided to try this salon due to the 5.0 Google & Yelp ratings online. It seemed really promising, but I will definitely not be returning.THE PROS:**The location is great.**There’s plenty of parking.**The décor of the salon is nice.**The nail tech Kelly is wonderful. She’s very friendly and talented, which was clear by the many customers that came to the salon asking specifically for her.THE CONS:**Regular polish is discouraged.When I made my appointment over the phone, I requested a Spa Combo (Manicure & Pedicure) with regular polish. I was asked if I wanted Gel instead and I declined. When I arrived at the shop and checked-in for my appointment I was asked again if I wanted gel instead. I declined again. After I picked my color and began my pedicure I was asked again if I wanted gel instead. Again, I declined. Once I moved on to my manicure, I was asked yet again if I wanted to get gel. I explained that I prefer regular polish. After declining a final time, I was then told throughout my manicure how “regular polish takes longer to dry” and that “the color may not look the way I want” and finally it was joked that “if your nails mess up once you leave here, don’t blame me.”**Lyna, the manager has poor customer service.After my pedicure my tech asked me to sit and wait while she finished her next client. 10 minutes into waiting, the manager Lyna comes by to tell me that two nail techs called out sick and that’s the reason for the wait. I didn’t complain but was shocked that I was expected to just wait indefinitely. Due to this, a mani/pedi and eyebrow wax took a total of 3 hours. At the end of my service, I paid and tipped my tech, but pulled Lyna to the side and quietly and politely let her know that I wasn’t really happy with having to wait that long. As a first-time customer I thought I would be met with an apologetic demeanor, but Lyna got defensive telling me “I can’t control if people are sick” and asked “would you want your boss to tell you to come to work if you were sick?” She then said when I come back next time she would make sure I had great service.The next day (which was my birthday), while I was out, I noticed one of my nails was bare – like the polish popped off. By the end of the day several other nails did the same thing, and I was so embarrassed. This has never happened to me in the 30 something years I’ve been getting manicures! *Please note that Kelly did my pedicure and one thumb and all of those nails were perfectly fine. The others that fell off were painted by Lyna. My husband called the salon to speak to Lyna to see how she would remedy this issue. When she offered for me to come back to the salon, we declined and she got defensive and argumentative saying things like “I told her if something was wrong she could come back in and we would fix it” (which was untrue), “I have been in business a long time and I know customer service” and “I understand you – I speak English.” Finally, she agreed to refund us ‘half for the mani’ which we understood to mean half of the Spa combo for the manicure. However, when we arrived in the shop, she told us that she would refund half the price of the manicure only. This was after she decided to speak her mind about me refusing to let her fix the mistake and that their policy was that they don’t issue refunds. I was shocked! The whole ordeal made me so upset and I told Lyna in tears that I did not deserve this treatment. I was respectful to her and her business all of this time and was met with rudeness and hostility. I have never been treated like this by a business before. And the last thing she said to me was “I will write this check and then we never have to see each other again.”So, to sum it up, if you want a gel manicure in a nice area, this may be for you. However, please know that Lyna (the manager) can be very unprofessional and rude. I would look for other shops in the area that prioritize customer service.

Lyna is the owner at Sohka nail salon. All of her employees/nail techs are extremely sweet just like Lyna. The salon is always clean and welcoming. Best part is...all of their nail polish is organic. Im so happy to have found this nail salon, non toxic organic products. Doesn’t leave you with a headache of smells. I also love that the products are the brand of the owner. On top of that what a wonderful experience with Nancy who payed so much attention to detail. You can tell they care about their costumers and aren’t trying to get you in and out. 11/10 service please go and give it a try you’ll be a new regular!!

As a first time customer, I was impressed with Sokhas. The store itself is beautiful. Lena the owner was right there to greet you and welcome you to the store. My nail technician Amanda did a beautiful job on my nails. I highly recommend her she has done my nails for years and always gives me a beautiful finished product. Mimi pampered my daughter and made her feel like a princess. If you need a Mani/Pedi for the holiday season Id book your appointment now!

Lyna and her team are the best! The salon is beautiful, pristine, and they are all very talented. My husband’s pedicure is awesome. We will always drive out from downtown to pay them a visit. Worth it!

Tried this salon twice, since I live in the neighborhood & both times noticed- you get better service if you KNOW them already & are a regular. If not, service is cut short, rushed & the massage w pedicure is maybe 1 minute at best. If I ever go back, I would only get the basic pedicure for the nail part. But honestly, I won’t be going back. It’s not a popularity contest. The owner needs to understand this. When you run a business, ALL SERVICES ON ALL CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE CONSISTENT. If you can’t do that, don’t take the customer at that time. & explain why. We will be going back to our place on Lauderdale. They never have shortened our service & treat us the same as they do everyone in there. Appreciated & happy. I still have major callouses all over & will have to deal with them myself or go pay my place on Lauderdale to do the job. Plenty other salons with a 5 minute drive that will not be this way. Just being nice is not enough. Be consistent & know what you are doing. They need A LOT of training. I’m a therapist & they don’t know what they are doing w hot stones or massage. Disappointing & twice now.

Amanda is hands down the best nail tech I have ever had in my life, I stopped getting my nails done because no one was up to my standards. But she blew me away I come every two weeks! They are all so nice! Do a great job. Love them all. However VERONICA is their special weapon here. She is their massage therapist and when I tell you SHE IS A DREAM! Best massage therapist I’ve ever had! And I LOVE how I can get my nails and feet done and then end with a massage!! I could come here everyday! I highly recommend getting a massage by Veronica

I had a lovely experience here! My best friend and I were looking for a nail place with good reviews and I stumbled open Sokha’s. The good reviews sure are true!! The staff were all lovely and greeted us with a warm smile. Throughout the whole time everyone was so sweet and attentive. Also, they did a wonderful job on both of our nails! They did exactly what we wanted! I highly recommend this place if you want kind and excellent service!❤️

An amazing experience! Sokhas Nail and Spa is the way to go. I recently moved to Richmond from California and needed to find a reliable and comfortable new nail salon like back home. Thankfully I was serviced by the best, specifically Nancy. Nancy did an amazing Gel French Mani/Pedi on me. She was attentive and provided a wonderful experience with a beautiful result. The entire staff was very kind and provided a great experience. Highly recommend and will be returning!

Wonderful experience! I went with my mom and sister to get a pedicure here, and this has to be hands down the best, most attention to detail pedicure I have ever received. Before booking, I called to see if they could do three pedicures at 5:45 pm, and the owner assured me they could and booked an appointment for us for that time. Chanel, Van and Tom did a fantastic job on our pedicures. Definitely recommend this nail salon! So happy that we found a great place to go.Additionally, the inside of the salon is very clean and pretty. The chairs were comfortable, and they offered us water and snacks during our pedicures. They have a wonderful selection of polishes that are from the owners own line, and they have a nice variety of pedicure options from classic to Sokhas signature. My mom and I got the Sokhas signature pedicure, and it was so relaxing! Make sure to check out this wonderful nail salon in Glen Allen.

Reviewing this salon poorly. Spent $135 on a pedicure and a fill!$60 for a pedicure because of an added $10 fee to remove nail polish and added $15 for gel.Then I asked repeatedly how much a fill would be-and they said less than a full set (as expected). $75 for a fill in which my design was removed and was given a new shape-did not want a new shape.Before anyone gets any service I recommend you get a full estimate.

I went with my mom for a dual spa manicure-pedicure combo. I absolutely love this salon. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. Van took her time (at other salons, you sometimes feel rushed) and the hot rocks massage was divine. The products they use are very high quality, and the salon is very clean. I love the color choices for the gel polish - at least 500+. They have the most comfortable salon chairs I have ever used. I also had a eyebrow wax - very quick and painless! My mom was also very happy with her nail experience. This pace is a true hidden gem. We will both be back!

I visited Sokha’s today and was blown away by the salon, the products, the experience and most importantly the people! EVERYONE was fantastic! They were all professional and created an inviting atmosphere. The owner informed me of the different services and products. The fact that they use her product line is phenomenal and attests to her passion for nail care. Amanda did my nails and she did a phenomenal job! I loved this place and will continue to patronize it while I’m staying in Richmond.

Service was great staff was detailed oriented however week one and one mail popped off week two gel polish is chipping and index finger lifting. I just feel as though I paid too much for this too be occurring and I was sold on the idea that the poly buildup was better and stronger

We had a wonderful visit today! My mom and I got “spa pedicures” and loved every minute. We were greeted by the owner when we arrived (we were walk ins) and immediately taken to a chair. We were introduced to our technicians (Tom and Chanel) and they were so kind and professional. We selected our colors and got comfortable. We loved how they took their time. We never felt rushed. The massages were our favorite part and our toes look wonderful. It was clean, quiet and relaxing. 10/10 recommend.

This is my new happy place! The salon is clean, comfortable and relaxing. They provide all services ( including waxing and a massage therapist available by appointment ). They use organic nail products and your color choices are huge! The employees are so friendly and welcoming (Lena the owner is amazing). And my nail tech Chan is the best! She has been tech for years. I followed her to Sokha’s and I’m so glad I did! If you’re looking for a new nail technician ask for Chan!

Im not from town and Im a teen and this is one of the best nail places Ive ever been to. I wish there was one where I live like this! They shared the price before we started and it matched with the price online it was reasonable and they were very nice and attentive. They listened and didnt do anything I didnt like. As a teen most nail techs dont treat us like the adults but this place was amazing for our girls trip!

I took my girlfriend and we got pedicures and her nails done. It felt very good and all of the employees were nice.The highlight though: at the end I asked if they could remove a splinter that had been in the end of my finger for weeks, the owner took it upon herself to help me. After about 45 minutes of her using various methods she got it out. This was outside of anything we were paying her to do (though she got a nice tip) and I could tell she truly wanted to help! Excellent service beyond what she had to do! I would give 6 stars if I could

Lyna is personable and always goes above and beyond to make sure I have what I need and am pleased with what I’m getting, both during my service and after until my next appointment, and Kelly has done my nails beautifully and given me exactly what I want every time! This is the only place I go to now to get my nails done!!

The ambience in the salon is beautiful. I came on a Monday so my tech, Kelly, took her time and made sure I had everything exactly the way I wanted. My only problem was that I got dip powder on my nails and within 5 days one of my nails had cracked. I went back the following Monday and had it repaired. This time my nail tech was in a rush. She didn’t shape my nail the same way as all of my other nails and the polish chipped the next day. Within a week and a half of the original visit I had a different nail pop completely off. I’m used to my dip sets lasting 3 weeks at minimum and I pay way less to get them done. I wanted to be a consistent client at this salon but I don’t think I’ll be returning because it’s so expensive and the product didn’t last.

They were booked so I called Sokha’s to see if I could walk in. The owner, Lena, was very helpful and accommodating! The salon is beautiful and very clean. I was NOT disappointed, the attention, time and care given not only to my the nail enhancement and the natural nails sold me.The team and the owner are passionate about what they do and you can tell. I’ve known Lyna for several years, ever since she rented a space in Carytown & later off of West Broad St in Fountain Square. Her new location is her dream, her pride & joy; however, I’d still go to her if she was in a shade tent in a dark alley. My nails (!!!) are the healthiest they’ve ever been!! I LOVED my experience at Sohkas Nails & Spa. They are so gracious, fun, and professional. I had both a sport gel pedicure and a dip nail service, and both were top-notch. The owner, Lyna, is delightful and so helpful. My technician, Nancy, is super sweet and a total perfectionist about her work. My photo shows how well my nails have held up after two weeks, and as a teacher and mom, I am ROUGH on my hands. Lina and Nancy have won me over as a customer. This is the best nail salon in town!! Their products are all much healthier than a regular salon.. you’ll notice that it doesn’t smell of chemicals when you walk in. The staff is top notch, incredibly helpful and so so friendly. I cannot imagine a better nail salon!!

I got polygel nails for prom and she did an amazing job! She really paid attention to detail and it was such a good experience compared to other salons Ive been to. Shes friendly and professional. I also got a gel pedicure which she did perfectly. Cant wait to wear sandals all summer!

The entire staff is so welcoming and nice!! Chanel does my gel manicures and pedicures. She always does such a good job and pays so much attention to detail. They even use non toxic and cruelty free nail products created by lena. Always a fun time talking with the staff.

This was my first time at this salon. My nails look amazing and I am a harsh critic. Tom did a fantastic job! But even better than the quality of my nails was the customer service. They explained the products they had to offer and recommended what they thought was best for me. I did not feel pressured into a decision or certain product. I had my 7 yo son with me. Several employees chatted with him. I had another appointment to get to, so I had to rush out. But they did NOT rush me. They offered for me to come back after my other appointment so that the quality of my nails was perfect. I will definitely be back!

The selection of colors (600 dip and hundreds of gel and regular polish) as well as the fact that the products are high quality and the owner’s own brand make this nail salon unique and special. The best nail salon ever!! I have visited multiple times now and I can say with confidence that this is truly the best! Reasonable prices, amazing polishes which are all organic and last long, kind, friendly and personable, amazing atmosphere, and seriously each one of the techs is the best- even if you are needing hand painted designs, they do an amazing, spot on job! The staff is beyond friendly and professional. I’ve never been this happy with a pedicure! I will soon try the gel-builder manicure because of the great reviews. I’m so tickled that I found ‘my place’!

This is my first time going to Sokhas and the experience was excellent.. I think is the best nail salon that I been in the area of short pump and Richmond.. Nancy was great .. I loved my Gel manicure and my Pedicure.. Nancy was so so nice and she knows what she is doing.. I never felt rush .The salon is super clean and beautiful.. The owner was so great too.. She makes me feel welcome .. Actually everyone was very good.. For sure I’ll go back ..

The BEST nail technician/owner in Richmond hands down. I moved to Richmond, VA two years ago and went to several of the salons in short pump, Carytown, Staples Mill, and W Broad. All of them would provide terrible service and I always walked away not liking my nails. However, Sokha is the BEST. Shes attentive, cares for her customer, and has fair pricing. Her service is all worth it. You wont ever have to go anywhere else after you go to her. I show her a picture, and she recreates it. I am so sad Im moving. I will def miss her!

From the moment you walk into this salon you sense that this place is a cut above the rest. Everyone is warm and welcoming. Amanda is who does my nails at Sokhas and I highly recommend her to others. She is patient, pays attention to each detail when working on your nails. Will continue making the drive across town to have my mani pedis at this salon and with Amanda.

I have been getting my nails done at Sokhas for years! Her new location in Short Pump is gorgeous! The massage chairs make you feel like a queen on a throne!! Tip: splurge on the builder gel Mani! It lasts for a month and never chips!!!
