I would just like to share my experience with this store, and you can decide if this is the place for you. I was a pack a day smoker for 10 years (Started real young @11). A while back when this store was called Mad Vapes I walked in and talked to a rep because I wanted to stop smoking. At the time I only had 25 bucks to my name, and it was between getting some smokes or actually trying to stop. I took the last 25 bucks to my name, and bought a vape. They made it easy for me. That single transaction was the reason I stopped smoking. The rep was able to provide the knowledge that I needed to be able to pick the right nicotine strength that allowed me to quit. If anyone actually reads these. Please, do not think twice. If you want a good vape store that is chill; respectful; knowledgeable; trust worthy. Do not look any further. This is the place.100% would recommend.

Usually order online, but will occasionally find myself needing to go to a brick-and-mortar store. Most of the time, I end up paying over 200% of what I’d have paid online. I understand that there’s a lot of overhead involved, but it often seems excessive. Another thing I often find is that the employees are pretty lacking in product knowledge.This store is the exception to those rules. I just paid a very reasonable markup, and dealt with 2 guys who were clearly knowledgeable about their inventory. One of them in particular (dude with dreads) even knew the manufacturer’s planned changes that would remedy a minor intermittent issue I’d been having with a relatively niche product.Last thing I’ll say—a lot of the other vape stores (many of them now under the Griffin name) seem to be hesitant to update their inventory. I’ve been hearing promises that something will be ordered for “next time” for years, it never seems to happen. This place seems to pride itself on its up to date inventory, and if they told me they’d order something for next time, I bet they’d do it.Bottom line—I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to come here next time I forget to order online in time.

The store has a loyalty program and you get a chance to win free stuff. Haven’t won yet but I only go once a month.

I like the owner of the store cool guy I am typically angry when I have to go into the vape shop because that means I have to buy a brand new vape and spend money that I dont want to spend because the charging port has gone bad yet again and thats exactly the reason I was in this store the last time but the store owner as always really engaging and has a good personality and sense of humor so usually snaps me out of my bad mood the first time I went into the store I walked in and him and at customer or conversing but it was more like yelling and it stopped me in my tracks LOL because I couldnt tell if they were fighting or just loud so I had to stand there for a few seconds to hear what they were saying in the night realize they were just loud and I like that because Im wild too I think people probably stare at me like Im crazy wondering if Im fighting with somebody every time I open my mouth hey its free entertainment youre welcome LOL

Mad Vapes is my go-to place for my vaping needs. The staff here are always helpful and friendly, even when they are busy. The store is very well lit, laid out nicely and very clean. Had a slight hiccup on one of my recent visits there a few days ago, which I didnt realize until I got home. The next time I went in, I mentioned it to the person that was helping me (Im pretty sure his name was Brandon). I received a wrong coil for one of my many tanks. He immediately apologized (even though it was 100% not HIS fault) and he offered to replace it free of charge, just on my word. I declined, as I felt it was more my fault. This simple action made me feel as they value my business. Most places would not even think about doing that. I feel that he went above and beyond to ensure that I left happy. I know an apology isnt much these days, but the fact that he was not there and still took responsibility for it was very refreshing. This is one of the easiest ways for a business to keep customers coming back again and again. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed!

First time going to this place the other night with my husband and Id have to say I loved it. Ive been to many vape shops, but this one was the most put together one Ive been to in a while. The gentleman there was professional and I didnt feel like he had that, I know everything and you know nothing cocky attitude. He was precise and willing to teach me about the products rather than make a quick sell. I bought the Kranger Mini Sub Box kit which they sell at a higher price than online but Im a person who needs instant gratification and $20 bucks more wasnt that big of a difference for my husband and I. The awesome thing about it was, I asked about the kit which was around $85 but the guy didnt just push that kit, he also recommended something smaller made by the same people but at a cheaper price. That shows me that he wasnt trying to sell me something to make a profit but that he was trying to find the right product for me. I highly recommend this place because its newer, cleaner and in a nice part of town.

This place is great, Ive been going there ever since they opened this location. Everyone that works there are very friendly, knowledgeable and will answer any questions you have to pick out the right device or mixing the right in house juice for you which is my go to and the prices are right in line if not cheaper than the other vape shops around.

A real shame, I walk in everyone sitting around a table conversing. Young lady comes asks what I need, I tell her (thank the gods for being savy) places juice on counter gives total and destroyed receipt before asking, then walks away. I wanted to like the store, but the more I realize for the area you are better off online shopping because no one has customer service skills, real shame to.

I have been to many of the vape shops in the Richmond area and have consistently not been impressed. Mad vapes continue to offer a better and wider line of juice that is easier and more accessible to try. Their mod and starter kit selection is phenomenal as well as their tanks and RDAs. None of this would be known with out the amazing and helpful staff though who is always there and offering to help. Would definitely recommend

I would highly recommend MadVapes. The service and people are the absolute best. I have visited about every vape shop in RVA, and MadVapes is significantly better than any other shop. The people are very friendly and they are always willing to help with any problem that I have with my mod, RDA, and tanks. They take time to make sure that I am satisfied with any product that they sell. They are very knowledgeable on all of their products. They also have great house and premium juices. Que, Kevin, Brandon, Parker, Makayla, Chris, and John are all very friendly and helpful people!

Their lack of flavor is disturbing...i bring in my mix I bought from there to tell them its tasteless, I ask the dude to taste it, I tell him the wrong flavor just to see what he says... hes like oh I can definitely taste the strawberry, but not the banana.... thats funny, it has NO strawberry in it genius!!! On top of that, the guys stare at you when you walk into the joint

Came in at lunch on a Sunday spent $24 and some change which I gave exact change and handed him a fifty he acts like he doesnt want to change the takes it checks with the marker and says luckily its real hands me $22 incorrect change and says dont bring 50s in here anymore.There was an older couple in the store so I tried to be nice and just left but the guy working by himself on 4/25/21 is terrible I wont be coming back.

Guys were friendly & knowledgeable. Prices resonable. They have a mixing bar so you can get a custom flavor, which Id never seen, but really like!

Not impressed. Bought a vape 4 -5 days ago have my receipt, box and everything else; vape leaked everywhere all over my clothes. Basically not their issue. Employees tell me the opposite that I have ever read or discussed about the difference in coil resistance. Will never buy from this store. Better service from the other franchise stores. Guess another customer has it correct. Neither guy working have any customer service skills. Maybe some training or understanding about customer retention.UPDATED: so if I was using the wrong coil as your employee instructed then when I switched coils shouldnt leak, correct? Also I have been using the same juice with absolutely no variation for 4+ years and it only leaked if I didnt change the coil after months of use. Also, arent you a franchise? Isnt the point of dealing with a regional brand to be able to service customers in various location not matter where it was purchased as long as it was purchased under the corporation, if you do t want to lose the $40 you get that choice I guess. If thats the case then I would advise you start your own brand vs. Using someone elses. Honestly in the end its your business you do what you want but I will let other people know my experience and in this case it was terriable. I called the store first explained my ENTIRE situation, came to the store to resolve an issue and got a bunch of push back and how everything was wrong. I wouldnt have wrote the review if it was true about the coil resistance making it leak but.... it still leaks and I have changed the coil to what your employee said i did wrong. So I will suggest one more time... maybe some training about customer service and customer retention would do good.

The staff here is friendly and knowledgeable. I get all my vape stuff from here. You can earn rewards and use the on anything of your choosing. Its clean inside. If you have an issue they will help you fix it. I go here for all my vape needs! No other place in Richmond compares to it. You can try the juices before you purchase them also. They will help you find a juice that is best for you.

Horrible customer service. If I wanted to walk into someone’s house and buy something I would. We walked in and there was a group of people sitting at a table, none of which greeted us and the people at the table continued to stare at us while we browsed their collection. Long story short, we went across the street and bought a vaporizer from Kulture. Get your stuff together. Customer service is a thing and it’s important.

A good little vape store, but not a great one. Store is well stocked 90 percent of the time, but staff needs to be a bit more professional and socialize a little less with friends who seem to always hang out around the shop. A work in progress.

The best way I could describe the customer service is to not. Because there was no customer service. Two dudes working there on a Monday night, Im standing around looking at them waiting for some help and they did not care at all. In fact, eventually one their buddies actually offered to help, but as I wanted to try their house eliquids, one of the two employees had to come over and he was so disinterested in answering flavor questions you would have thought I was giving him an on-the-spot algebra quiz. Oh, and he didnt even wash his hands before mixing the juice. Other dude who was standing behind the register looked at me and went right back to his conversation rather than ringing me up. Or even saying a word to me. And the guy who mixed the liquid was in no hurry to do it either. Whomever owns this shop is paying those kids to vape with their buddies and drive paying customers away.

Staff is extremely helpful.. They remember the customers and seem happy to help with any issues that arise.

Madvapes is by far the best vape shop in Richmond. the store is always immaculate. their juice line is amazing super clean and customized exactly to your liking. Whether you like high nicotine low nicotine, high PG, max VG , whatever you want they got it, and the prices are unbeatable. The store employees are true professionals and experts in their field. theres not a question that they cant answer and theres not a problem that they cannot troubleshoot. this is also the cleanest Store Ive ever been in its always immaculate. Then you have the selection, these guys have the biggest selection of mods ,tanks,RDAs, RTAs ,and juice of any store in Richmond.They stay on top of the industry and always have the hottest, newest gear. Basically if you vape and youre not hitting up madvapes youre cheating yourself. Its the spot to be.

This review has Nothing to do with the employees, but certain juices Ive bought from here make me throw up, not that the taste is that bad, but avails juices never cause that.
