I can’t say enough on how much I love this place! I have been going here for 7 years. If you come here, you will be a lifer! The pedicures are handled with care and fine, my nails are perfect every time etc. if the nails are not perfect or to standards they will redo them etc. Pingy and Michelle are AMAZING and my go to girls. But I have also had Kim and Mei and again never disappointed! You will come in and feel like family and will be known by name. Thank you girls!

Pingy and Mai are the absolute BEST! I love how the ladies cater to me. They always give me princess treatment. I normally get a pedicure w/ hot stones and gel and the dip powder for my nails( no tips). The service is around 95$ which I think is reasonable! The ladies do fantastic work. Give them a try! The shop is clean, Michelle( the owner is always friendly and helpful). Love them all! 💕

I got a pedicure and manicure here today. My nails look awful, I wanted short gel french tip nails and the first 2 fingers are crooked and the white on them all have lines where they caked in the polish, the nails are also just so thick, they just do not look right. Plus they’re really not that cheap for it to look this bad. Pedicure also was very rushed, don’t think I’ll be going back.

My first and LAST time coming here.. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and they look horrible! I know that they arent going to be exactly the same but this was horrible. One is way shorter and the other, she plucked a gap right into.. its embarrassing! Im upset with this experience!

I had an appointment with a friend and waited 30 minutes after her manicure started to be helped. When getting my nails done I asked for them to be short, and even asked for them to be shorter when asked if they were okay. I asked about the price when I made the appointment and was given a reasonable price for my manicure. I was charged $5 extra for “long” nails when I had asked twice for short nails. I will not be returning due to issues with the amount charged and being unhappy with my overall experience.

Came here for my brows for the first time as a walk in. The young woman who did my brows was great. She asked how I wanted them done (cleaned up) and she paid so much attention to detail. She also made sure I signed up for rewards to get $5 off my service. I will definitely be coming back to see her.

I showed up at 7:55 and they close at 8. I asked if they could please give me at least one service because my sister is getting married tomorrow and I have been running around and got behind and really need a pedi at the least! They initially agreed to just a pedi BUT came back and asked how I wanted my nails. I have NEVER experienced such kindness! These women went above and beyond because I was running late and i appreciate it so much! If I lived locally theyd see me ALL THE TIME!

I love May Nails & the employees that work there. You are always greeted when you walk in and can tell they have a smile on beneath the mask. They have recently remodeled and it feels so clean and bright in there. They make sure other guests follow their safety protocols. I drive 25 minutes from the city to get my nails done here!

I have here for mani and pedi and was pleased up until today.I always get a dip manicure, but today I had the worst one . It was lumpy looking, and the owner did repair that for the most part. But there was powder left around my nails and the cuticles. This was more evident afterI left . I was not asked to enter my Telephone # at check out .Perhaps to avoid a bad teview.

Took 2.5 hours for a pedicure and dip manicure when I had an appointment. Told Nina almond shape and she clipped my long nails down to the bone. When I was visibly shocked and asked how she could do almond shape now that they were so short, she said Ill put tips on. I didnt allow her to charge me for tips when I didnt need them before she destroyed them.Then, knowing I was unhappy, she charged me full price. My nails were a mess and I had to clean up the excess dip and gel polish from my fingers when I got home.Michelle called me after reading my review and did offer for me to come back at no charge, but theres no nail left to fix and they are so damaged I dont want to make it worse. No refund or discount to the the service I already had was offered, so Im just avoiding this place.

I was able to be serviced as soon as I walked in. There was some confusion on whether the healing pad was available that was listed for an additional $5.00. The menu also stated that there were complimentary wine,soda and water. I was not asked, and when I asked I was not given a choice only water was offered.

I love this place! It’s always clean and sanitary. Everyone is very friendly. My nails (dips) are always well done and last for weeks

I returned today to have my second mani/pedi with Kelly at May Nail Salon. I am so happy with the meticulous service she provides. She listens to my needs and accommodates me by caring for the healthy condition of my nails while making them look pretty and glamorous. I am so happy I found this salon upon moving to this area. Super nice people. Great prices. Fantastic work. My nail work is for guitar playing so one hand is short and I just file/cut that one myself. The other hand needs to be a fairly specific shape and length and also has to be strong (usually powder sculpted, sometimes reinforced acrylic). Anyways for about a decade Mays has done this for me at a super reasonable price and without shaming me for getting such small jobs done. 😁 Love them.

Absolutely satisfied!! My sister and I came in to May Nails for the first time today for acrylics and the ladies working were so polite. They greeted us as soon as we walked in and there was no wait. The best pedicure that I have had is with Mai at May Nails!

I am definitely picky when it comes to my nails and my nail tech. Once I find one I like, that is my person. I went to Michelle after being referred and it was the best decision. The service is amazing. They offer drinks and make sure you’re comfortable. They are thorough and really do a wonderful job on my nails every single time, but don’t take too long. I’ve had a group party as well for my wedding and it felt like we had the whole shop to ourselves. It was perfect. I’ve had several other nail techs do my pedicures and they are also so good! The shop is very clean and follows all of the safety guidelines. They’ve just gotten a ton of new colors and equipment, which looks AMAZING! They can even do trickier designs as well as ombré nails (my personal favorite). I really can’t recommend all of them enough. I absolutely look forward to going there, every single time. You won’t regret it.

I think I had a pedicure before my wedding 13 years ago and then when I was pregnant with my first child around 5 years ago- and I dont get my nails doneI called around today for an impromptu pedicure- husband had the boys and I had a free evening. I was wearing jogger scrubs that are tight at the ankles, so not ideal- and sneakersNo worries though! She brushed it all off as no big dealTheir prices are listed on their web site, and they bring you a menu with everything clearly labeled- so no surprisesGreat pedicure, and I was pleasantly surprised they dont use that cheese grater things on calluses. That might be a thing of the past, but it makes your calluses so much worse so I was happy to see it wasnt an optionGreat experience- Ill come back if this is how I want to spend a free evening again!

I moved to the area from northern va and was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find a favorite nail tech. I was so lucky to come to here and meet Michelle. She has been doing my pedi and manis for 3 years now. She is so accommodating. So many times I have gotten off work last minute, and she made time for me when she could have told me to schedule for another date. She works 6 days a week / all hours. Even when she is 3 weeks from her due date. Her work is amazing. I am ocd so it is a big deal for me to have a nail artist who cares and is good at what they do. I honestly won’t see anyone else other than her. I saw a review earlier calling her mean names… just unreal. If you want great nails and a great artist, see Michelle. Thank you!

I love may nails I have came about 5 times so still kinda new but so happy I found them, I know my nails look good.Also they already recognize me so that just makes u feel great. May nails slay anyone thats say otherwise is crazy. Yea u may have to wait because they are busy but its worth it.

I have also never been to a nail place that does exfoliate, foot leg massage AND rocks when it comes to pedicures.Michelle is the only person I will let do my eyebrows and is also very talented in nails!Try Mae Nails you will not regret it. After coming here a few times and my nails being mediocre, my normal nail salon - Bliss nails was extremely busy so I decided to just come to May nails thinking atleast they do an okay job….well, not this time. I opted to do French using dip powder. One of the whites of my nail was extremely crooked so I asked her to fix it, her solution was to fix it with gel polish, gel polish on a dip powder nail….so after that, the white was noticeably whiter than the other ones. And told me that you can’t arch the white using dip, I knew this was untrue due to the fact that I’ve been getting dip for 4 years, and French is my go-to. She then tells me I’m done when my nails are still botched, another lady, Melissa comes to fix it and makes it look a little better granted there’s a HUGE dip in my nail and now this is the only nail that is arched, so I ask her if I can come back another day for her to fix the others…I got no response. So I ask again, she looks at my nails and walks away. They add cuticle oil, and tell me I’m all set. I go to pay and still no response on fixing this issue. I’m still charged the normal amount but at this point I’ve been there for 2 hours and I’m just ready to leave. Never again will I give this place my money. To spend 55$ on my nails for them to look terrible is disappointing.

My wife doesn’t normally get her nails done but when she does she goes here. They look great and she’s happy.

I am in town visiting my sister and decided to get a pedicure while she got her nails done. I must say it was the best pedicure I have ever had in my 63 years hands down. I definitely recommend May Nails.

I’m visiting from out of town and this shop has been a very find. Clean and lots of services. I suggest coming during the mid morning to so you can take your time. I did the Spa Pedicure with the organic herbal heated pillow around my neck. Loved it! I also got my gel nails filled it. I needed a repair on one nail after my appointment and the owner promptly saw me and quickly fixed it! I’m pleased. 💖

I, with my daughter waited to receive services for 30 minutes after I was told there was no wait. Finally, it was our turn and here comes a bowl from 1975 with a plastic sandwich bag around it. With a grunt someone walks up and squirts Acetone in the bowl. I haven’t see. This in years. While waiting in the bowl of chemicals, I noticed there were people that came in after us that didn’t look like us receiving a different Gel removal treatment. Their nails were being nicely wrapped with the understood and appropriate cotton ball. We walked out. Unless you look a certain way you will receive unequal treatment. Find another shop.

My favorite nail place!!!! I moved to Williamsburg, VA and I will drive over an hour to get my nails done here any chance I get. The staff is so friendly and welcoming! I’ve had 3 or 4 different nail techs and they have all done an amazing job! Great attention to detail and amazing job at shaping! Great prices and they serve wine! Highly recommend!!

Was able to make a same day appointment for a pedicure and dip manicure. Pedicure was fine. I saw an empty package for a new set of tools, but didn’t see her open the package so I don’t know that I was the only one it was used on. The guy that did my manicure didn’t do my cuticles, or maybe he was just grinding them away??? Either way…no thanks. The dip didn’t dry immediately like it has when I’ve had it done elsewhere. After sitting for several minutes I went to pay and it was still tacky. He had to redo two nails. He used a different top coat and the UV light. That’s definitely not how you do dip. The manicure station where I was seated had two clippings of someone else’s nails in it. He put cuticle oil on me and the sent me on my way. No lotion or anything. The floor was dirty, hair and dust bunnies in the corners.

Always polite and do a fabulous job. Grandma always does my feet and is the best!!!! They are very up to date with COVID dividers and keep everything clean, sanitized and prepared for their customers. All employees are super friendly and accommodating. Been coming here for years. Love them all.

I really have to stop being so polite when I’m dissatisfied. The issue is that they don’t listen sometimes, even when you do tell them. This is your basic nail salon. I go here because it’s very close to where I live. I don’t have anything against them overall, but please be consistent. And that’s no matter WHO you are serving. I don’t believe it’s intentional, but I do notice that older, Caucasian women are more tended to. 60% of the time my nails are how I want them and the other 40%, they lack. But I do like them and would recommend you give them a chance because out of other salons in the area, they seem to be honest and don’t overcharge. My main piece of advice is just to be consistent. My nails are uneven, bulky, I have leftover flake from the acrylic even AFTER I washed, and the nail polish is now messed up because they haven’t dried after an hour, because they were so bulky. I will go back though and ensure they get it right. I usually go to the young man who’s pretty much consistent but today someone else did them and they are they worse they’ve ever been. They also did not do what I asked.. Simple French tips. They gave me all white after charging my card.. Then told me it would be 5 extra.

I went in for the first time with my daughter and granddaughter for pedicures. They put us in the chairs and then came the very long wait... The staff were nice especially to my granddaughter and they did a nice enough job. We were there for about two hours. That was frustrating. Then we go to pay. I had a coupon they couldn’t figure out how to use, at this point I was just ready to leave so I told them to just forget it. I also had a gift card, which is why we tried a new place, and they couldn’t figure that out either. Finally after about 15 min and two employees they got me checked out. No we won’t be returning

I went to this nail saloon due to my regular spa having a long wait time. I must say I am extremely impressed. I was in a rush and they gladly worked with me. I got a gel manicure and pedicure and an eyebrow wax within 45 mins. You have gained a customer. Very impressed.

I will never use this nail again.I asked for a overlay of thin acrylic on my natural nail. They put so much acrylic on my nail bed that it looked like M&M’s.The nail guy was so rough. I should have known he didn’t know what he was doing. I addressed my concern and asked for him to fix it. He filed my mail until it was burning. I asked for a refund and they denied. THE WORST SALON IN GLEN ALLEN!

They are super expensive for “basic” service. By going here I spent $23 more than where I usually go to. They gave me the prices incorrectly prior to service. No one talked to me AT ALL which getting my pedicure or nails done. I would NEVER go again or recommend anyone.

I’ve been going here for about 2 years and the service has gone downhill. I had to take a break from them, I tried them again on today and the older lady did a rush pedicure job, she was too rough with my feet, she had to go through 4 different colors after I told her about the correct one, and the other employees weren’t as police as they normally are. I didn’t say to them that I was upset about the roughness because I thought it was just a bad day for the lady but when today’s service continued to go in a negative direction, l was not impressed.

Literally tells me that they can’t do my eyebrows because they are thin when they are actually thick! I have not had my eyebrows done in 3 months and they need to get done badly. Can not believe I wasted my time coming to this place only to get told I can’t get my eyebrows done because of my arch also already present. You need to get your business together and don’t advertise eyebrow waxing if you can’t actually do them.

I was told when I came in hello, go wash your hands...no introduction, no asking me who I was etc.My manicurest never said a word. I finally said good morning and got minimal response. I then introduced myself and had to ASK her her name. She began to cut my cuticles before even removing old polish. I asked if she could fix my slightly broken nail. Her reply was no. She asked did I want them cut down, I said no, please shape square. She said but theyre already round. I said I KNOW, I want them square please. Not sure why this seemed an issue for her. Then, I asked if I should put my watch back on or would she be applying small massage/lotion to my hands/arms. She said no, due to COVID. Which made no sense....if one can hold my hand/touch my skin while applying polish, why cant one hold my hand/touch my skin while applying lotion? I asked if they use lotion on pedis, she said yes, b/c we wear gloves. OK, then put on a glove when doing mani. There was no warmth/personal touch nor relaxation offered with this mani. It was totally silent, no one seemed to really care about me as a client, no interaction. etc.

I was treated like family from the moment I entered the shop. I’m vacationing from California and needed my nails done desperately. I didn’t have to wait they took me in immediately and got my back on track. Would recommend this nail shop to anyone in the Richmond area.

One star because I cant give negative stars..I went here instead of my normal shop, so I could find a back up shop and it was a big mistake. I walked out halfway through the services because they spilt monomer all over my new birkenstocks and ruined them. I know it was an accident, but I had two people that worked there arguing with me that nothing got on them. I could smell it on my ruined birks, naturally I am upset because they are not cheap shoes. The accident happened because I was having my nails filled in the pedicure chair, which was strange to me because there were chairs open. I walked out with half a pedicure and half my nails filled and paid for incomplete services. I probably would have let them finished had they not argued with me.I will usually give a place a second chance, due to the whole bizarre experience at May nails I wont be going back. After shelling out money for unfinished service and having to pay my usually shop to fix it and my ruined birks May Nails has cost me more then Id ever be willing to spend there.

Prices are outrages. $45 for a CHILDS gel pedicure. Shes 7 years old, thats is insane. A normal childs pedicure runs $15-20 so I expected it to be around $25-30with gel. Freaking crazy price.

She legit took off the whole middle section of my eyebrow and I had to spend tons of money to get a growing serum to fix her LARGE mistake. They have lost my whole families business. Scheduled an appointment for 5:00 p.m., while waiting I asked how much longer and was told 7 - 10 minutes which turned into over 30. My 5:00 appt turned into a 6:00 pm appt with no apology as to being overbooked and inconsiderate of other’s time & schedule only to tell lies to make every dollar possible!!!! Inconsiderate, Unprofessional and poor acceptance of responsibility.

Did my my shape wrong was rude to my kids kept telling them to be quiet and stay still wouldn’t do their nails after agreeing over the phone to do them it’s 2 hours before closing and I couldn’t get my feet done once did my nails the wrong shape after I explained to her the shape I wanted my nails are sharp and squared sorry not a place for me

They are really nice. I’ve only gotten pedicures from them but they do a pretty thorough job.

I went for a pedicure and when they found out I didn’t want expensive gel I want a regular gel they gave me a bad paint job on my toes and they tried to up charge me because I didn’t want the Expensive polishThe older lady painted my toes horribly and then wanted to charge me $40 for regular polish I don’t mind spending money it’s just I don’t like spending money on things that isn’t done correctly

The pedicure was awesome. Manicure was good, but the girl seemed in a hurry and unattentive.

I got a set of acrylics and they did a great job for a good price. I was in and out in an hour :) Will be back for my refill!

Extremely overpriced for very minimal services. They also take on too many clients at once and leave you waiting for hours.

They do poor , rush jobs and the owner of the salon is being sued for breaking and entering one of the surrounding businesses.
