One of the best massage/spa places I have ever visited. The staff is always so sweet and inviting. Their massage therapist, Jackie G, is incredible!! She really listens to my concerns and what I want to get out of the appointment. She has serious magic hands that brings even my mind into a relaxed state, which is not easy to do. I will absolutely be returning again!! 10/10

Jackie G. is a magician!! Best massage therapist I’ve ever had. I recommend the signature and flower essence massage services, and plan to try the herbal compress massage next time on her recommendation.I also see Emili for facials and LOVE her! Based on her recommendations, I use many of the Eminence products as part of my daily routine. I love that the products are organic, and still leave my skin looking and feeling great.

A massage used to be a once a year outing that I would treat myself to, but now it’s something I’ve regularly incorporated into my self care routine, mainly because of Jackie!! I can’t speak highly enough of her practice. Jackie was the first massage therapist who I felt completely comfortable enough to fully immerse myself in the experience. She is tender and always attentive. She incorporates a state of mindfulness that is incredibly rejuvenating for the mind and body. You always feel like she is fully present with you in the room. I’ve been seeing Jackie regularly for months now, and I am so grateful to her!

Lynn is an excellent therapist! She took time asking deep questions to understand what brought me in, then tailored my massage service to those focus areas. I felt so relaxed. Highly recommend the hemp oil and the cold stone sinus treatment for fellow migraine sufferers.

I had the Organic Bliss package (aromatherapy massage by Maria and European facial by Brittany). Both services were excellent! I left the spa relaxed and glowy. I can’t wait to return for another lovely spa experience in the future! Also, such a warm and welcoming front desk service and the spa itself is so beautifully decorated. Highly recommend.

I see Jackie G. on a monthly basis for a 90 minute massage and she is AMAZING!!! She is so in tune with what I need at each visit and leaves me feeling renewed and relaxed! I highly recommend her, she is the best!! The spa is very calming and clean, and the staff are always friendly and willing to help. Best spa in Richmond!

10/10 would recommend, this was my first time getting a massage. My best friend and I booked the couples room and it was so relaxing! I had Lynn, she had the most gentle touch yet relaxing pressure. We did the serenity massage which I feel was great for a first timer like me. Everyone should definitely find time to come!

The staff and managers are friendly and professional.Ive been a regular client of Lynns since March, and Ive consistently left feeling incredibly satisfied. Her massage techniques are truly magical, and I find myself eagerly anticipating my next visit. Especially, Lynn helped me ease the tension in my neck and shoulder , leaving me feeling completely relaxed even after just a 30-minute massage. I am definitely thinking of extending my sessions in the future!My husband and I have massage perks through our insurance, and Im grateful to Morgan for her assistance in setting everything up. Additionally, I had the pleasure of meeting Andrea, the hospitality manager, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Also, Rivae is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this spa to everyone!

A massage by Jackie G at Scents of Serenity always leaves me feeling so much better. It’s a toss up which relaxes more: my achy tense muscles or my stressed mind. I am a member there and highly recommend the spa and Jackie G.

I. Love. Scents of Serenity. I see Jackie and she has such a wonderful voice and relaxing touch. I deal with a lot of tight muscles but her technique leaves me feeling relaxed and refreshed every single time. I also love to Emilie for my facials—she’s a genius. The membership is absolutely worth it. This place is luxurious and peaceful. A GEM of Richmond.

This may be a great place for some people, but not for me or part of my family. We came here as a group of 5 women and booked services in a way that would have us all taken care of at the same time. My two services were a bath soak and a facial. My sisters had a massage (60min) and the sauna.My issues are:My bath soak - for reference, the price is listed online. But, for that amount of money to sit in a bathtub that is truly nothing special, I’m quite disappointed. 45 mins is so long and it’s extremely hot.My facial - again, the price is listed online, so can’t say that’s not advertised correctly. But, I did the customized facial and it was essentially just a few different creams put on my face. A slight massage, too, but nothing crazy. No other treatments. That much money…for cream. So, just know that’s what you’re paying for.My sisters massage - my sister said at the beginning that she had tension and wanted pressure, not that this was asked (as I think it should be). However, the massage was extremely light and she felt weird asking for more pressure. It wasn’t asked how it was, so she had a negative experience.I will note that my mother and her friend enjoyed their experience. But, they didn’t pay for it (was a gift from us) so yeah I’d enjoy it if it were free too.To be fair, I would say this would be enjoyable to me if it were just much cheaper. I am certainly upset with my total for the quality of service that I had. I don’t mean with customer service - that was fine. Just, the services offered.Therefore, my review is based on the value I feel I received for my cost which is not good. Just research the prices and make sure it’s worth it to you.

I have been to Scents of Serenity 5 times now and have loved each time! Each therapist was friendly and very knowledgeable. They all checked in with me throughout the massage to make sure everything was going as I wanted. My sister and I even did a couples massage and had such a blast! I will note that it is important to know what service you are requesting as the massages are quite different…deep tissues, relaxing etc…this is not a low end massage place where all the massages are the same…you must know what type of massage you want by reading the beautiful descriptions online.

I love everything about the spa, especially since my favorite masseuse, Jackie, is there. I have been seeing Jackie since her time at Red Door Spa, and that has been 13 years. She is professional and kind, and she is such a sweet person. Aside from Jackie, your front of the house is always smiling, friendly, and very welcoming. I can not say enough! 😊

I had my first facial here a few months ago and immediately signed up for the monthly membership. I’ve now tried a few different types of facials and I’ve also purchased a new product at each visit to work into my skincare routine. Emili has been amazing, both in doing the facials as well as teaching me about the different products. I highly recommend Scents of Serenity and their products. I can tell a huge difference with my skin texture and complexion and have seen the benefits compound each month.

I love scents by serenity, My former long time massagetherspist for over 2 years left the business and i had a really difficult time finding someone who was as amazing as he was. Then i gound Christopher B and my world was right again! Christopher B.is absolutely wonderful. He definitely takes time to get to know you and your specific needs. I always get the hot stone massage.He has a lovely personality and a God given gift with his hands. I always feel so relaxed and less stressed after my time with Chris. If you are looking for an amazing massage therapist then look no further.

Had another AMAZING massage at SoS by Jackie Graham! There is a reason Ive been going to Jackie for over 20 years! She and the Spa are wonderful. The Serenity Signature, Soothing Bamboo and Flower Essence massages are some of my favorites. I recommend to get the membership. Its a wonderful treat!! Enjoy!!

I’ve been visiting Scents of Serenity almost 5 years. I have visited both the Short Pump and Grove locations. I am always pleasantly greeted. The services I enjoy are a facial ( I alternate between the European and the dermaplane) and a massage. Emili has been my esthetician of recent and she is wonderful. She is trained in both facials. For the massage I have used Lucy. She is also wonderful. I have used several different masseuse and estheticians over the years and truly they have all been great. But now I’m to the point that I want to establish a relationship and have tried to stick with these 2 wonderful ladies.There is a reason this Spa has been voted best in RVA several years running!

I have had several massages now, at the Richmond location on Grove Ave, from two different providers (Katie and Audrey). I have been very pleased with the service. Both therapists interviewed me as we got ready, asking if there were specific problem areas or areas to avoid, and whether I prefer lighter or deeper pressure during massages. They made me feel comfortable and well-cared-for. They following my instructions about problem areas, gave me suggestions for stretching and heat. The facility was very clean and quiet, staff friendly. I like the online reservation system. Definitely recommend, and will be returning.

Went in with high expectations and left even higher! This place is amazing, came here with my best friend and booked the couples room, went with the serenity massage and it was perfect! I had Maria and she was awesome! Definitely recommend for a first time massage!!

Spa is wonderful! The space is extremely clean and the estheticians are great! Particularly Brittany D. She really knows her products and gave me great recommendations for skin care! I love that they only use organic products.

I started out with my husband buying me a gift card toScents of Serenity spa It was for a Christmas gift.. so my story goes I went for a facial with a girl named Lindsey didn’t know how I would feel coming out of my facial like it was any other, but I was wrong. My first visit was the most amazing feeling I’ve ever had with having a facial. this beautiful girl Lindsey was so amazing. she was so well experienced and knowing what was good for my facial needs, and let me tell you I wouldn’t want any other facial by any other person. i’m sure the other ladies are just as amazing but my first experience with the facial was with Lindsey, ..She definitely knew her job and does it very well. I had such an amazing experience at sense of serenity spa not only was Lindsey amazing she cared to what you wanted and needed for yourself I was willing to try a number of different sense oils creams, which were amazing!..The facial was so amazing and so relaxing .. also, one thing I did really care about is that Lindsay never pressured me to buy anything don’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but it was something that I really acknowledged because I do not like being pressured into buying anything just to make a sell.. But she always asked me if there was anything else I needed..As far as the front desk, they are very nice & is very professional ..the lobby is very clean..The waiting room is so nice and relaxing..There’s no other place to go for a facial other than sense of serenity short pump!There’s no other place I would go to. It is worth every penny…Thank you Scents of Serenity & Lindsey for the most amazing time at your spa!

I was gifted a massage here and didnt know what to expect. They told me they specifically chose this place because its a natural spa, so I was curious how it would goI enjoyed everything. The place is beautiful, and the staff was very friendly. They had me fill out a quick history and asked about any current issues to address. After that, I was taken back immediately to my room and was greeted by my masseuse. She was very nice & accommodating, she explained everything and left me to undress to my comfort level. I slid in those warmed sheets and got comfy. She started off with medium pressure, but as soon as I told her I was okay with more pressure because I normally do deep tissue massages, she put her whole elbow and body into my back, lol. Whew, she really put everything she had into it. Some of it hurt, but I held it in and took it cause I knew the next day I would be great and sure enough, I was feeling relaxed the rest of the day.When it was over, I hopped up, drank some water, and headed out like a new person.I do recommend this location.

I had a phenomenal 60 minute prenatal massage with Lynn! It was so good, I booked another one in a few weeks. I can’t wait to go back for more total relaxation.

First visit for a massage package - magical. Second visit I took the day off of work and it was unfortunate that I did so. I wish I could say I was exaggerating. The experience left MUCH to be desired. I was terribly disappointed when it was all said and done and honestly it ruined my taste for spas as a whole. For such a price I expected consistency in experience but obviously not the case.

❤️Scents and Serenity!I’ve been receiving facials at the Short Pump spa over a year with master esthetician Brittany which has been absolutely wonderful in giving me my facials. Having an esthetician that enjoys what she does makes a difference and my skin shows it. Her choices in product to use on my skin is given thought before laying and she asks questions about sensitivity you may have. The products are organic and my skin works well with them. I have also tried the infrared sauna to help with relaxation and detox from daily stress issues. The staff is wonderful with explaining their services that are offered. I would highly recommend scents and serenity for any spa needs and Brittany for a wonderful facial at Short Pump or Midlothian locations. Thank you ❤️

This is my go-to place for a relaxing massage. I have a chronic health condition that causes a lot of chronic pain in my joints and muscles and getting massages really helps alleviate my pain. Everyone Ive worked with at Scents of Serenity has been so kind and helpful. The environment is super calming, from the soothing scents to the relaxing sound of the waterfall. I highly recommend Scents of Serenity.

I went here a few weeks ago for a mini massage ($75 service) and unfortunately it was not so great. The place is beautiful, so serene and relaxing. I waited in the waiting area for only a few minutes before my esthetician came to get me. When we got to the room she didn’t ask me anything about my skin. She also asked me if I even wanted to get under the covers since it was just a mini, I of course say yes because I don’t want to just lay on the table without anything covering me/making me comfortable. I’m here to relax, not feel like I’m on an operating table. I’ve never had a facial where I don’t take at least my shirt off so they can do their little neck massage. The facial wasn’t bad except she had gloves on the whole time which stuck to my face and the product. It started to hurt at the end from all the sticky friction on my face. She then gave me a hand and forearm massage…..with no lotion. Just dry friction on my arms, ouch. I then broke out in blemishes over the next few days, more than I ever have with a facial.

It was the first time here for me and my husband today. What a wonderful gem of a spa. We’ve had massages in spas all over the world and this experience ranked as one of our top 5 for sure. We had a couple’s massage...the Serenity Signature experience with hot stones. Our two therapists were wonderfully skilled. The use of aromatherapy from the minute we entered the lobby left us calmer than we’ve been in weeks. There’s a new spa king in town. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing spa. it was me and my boyfriends first couples massage for valentines day, and we had an amazing experience! After the massage, I had a facial which was great, and he did the bath. I guess he thought the lotion was food tho bc it had a spoon in it and tried to eat it 💀. 10/10 experience tho!

Of the multitude of times I’ve been here, I have never been so disappointed in the care I received from the front office staff. They schedule people without any cushion of time between. My sauna was set up without a towel to sit on or a towel to wear.I scheduled myself time in between the sauna and massage for a shower for which they allot 10 minutes. I came to my sauna appointment 5 min late and they wanted to cancel my shower because “the massage therapists don’t care if we shower in between .” I would tend to disagree with this statement.I offered to take a 15 min sauna and I will most likely still pay for the 20 min knowing their fee schedule here. There are other front staff that know what they are doing and how to correctly set up the room, but I didn’t receive that care today. After spending so much money, you would think there would be perfection in their execution or at least a pleasant demeanor for being only 5 min behind. For a sauna.The two stars (that would be a whole 10!) are for my lovely massage therapist Dusty. He knows what he’s doing and provides consistent, absolutely amazing massage and worth every penny I have poured into this space.I will be cancelling my future membership here and hope that the management chooses wisely in their front staff.

Elena is a consummate professional. She always knows what procedures are most beneficial and what products to apply. My eyebrows have never looked better and my skin has never looked healthier.

I don’t usually do reviews but this place was AMAZING. I came to Scents of Serenity for the first time for my birthday, and i will definitely be coming back! My massage therapist Alexa did an amazing job and even taught me techniques to use at home to help with my back pain. The front desk ladies were amazing and very sweet as well. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of all the spaces including the bathroom! I give my experience 5 stars and highly recommend Scents of Serenity in short pump!

Got a package for my birthday, possibly the best gift ever. Elise was fantastic and provided the perfect facial, my skin was glowing the rest of the day and my lips have never felt so soft. And Lynn gave me my massage with reflexology and back treatment. 1st when I wasn’t so relaxed I wasn’t basically comatose it was out of this world. When I left I was so relaxed you could have poured me into my car. And the aromatherapy….If you get the chance to go do not pass it up.

This was by far one of the best spa experiences Ive ever had. Every single person I interacted with, from setting the appointment to checking in to checking out were absolutely professional. Absolutely amazing experience! My dad surprised me with a choice of a spa package and his gift came at the right time due to total exhaustion, overwhelm, and pandemic chaos. Mari was so helpful in booking my spa - educating me on the type of service Id be getting, what happens, the benefits of the service and even helping me with getting there! Our family is fairly new to the area and had never been to Scents of Serenity before and it was nice to have such a great start and that was simply booking an appointment. :) For my services, Audrey was so sweet, attentive and did an amazing work. She took her time, graciously explained what she was doing and was just a blessing to be in her presence. Scents of serenity is wonderful. The short pump location is so beautiful and welcoming inside, as are the staff! Lindsay is fantastic! I had my first facial with her and was a bit nervous because I dont have a solid skin care routine at home. She took the time to talk about my skin concerns and she explained the steps and products she used throughout the facial so I was able to learn how to follow-up some of the process at home. The facial was incredibly relaxing and refreshing. Thank you Lindsay and Scents of serenity!

This place is so nice and the atmosphere so celestial and divine that I though the Lord himself and his angels were going to come escort me to get my service done. Dim lighting, essential oils diffused into the air, and soft serene music made this the most relaxing atmosphere Ive ever experienced. I received a Brazilian from Mary and it was AWESOME! She was so pleasant and comforting and worked QUICKLY to make sure I experience as little pain as possible. And the best part is that we chatted like old pals the whole time and it really took my mind off what I was getting done. My boyfriend gave me a birthday gift card to this place after recommendation by a coworker of his, and I am so glad he did! I will absolutely visit the spa and Mary again. Thanks a bunch for a very pleasant experience!

As a Birthday gift to myself, I booked a few services. Greeted by the friendly young ladies at the desk, they immediately escorted to my soaking room, where my freshly drawn soaking tub awaited me! It was tranquil and quiet....just the escape I needed! Ive literally changed the vision board for my master bathroom renovation to be inspired by this room. From there, I was greeted by my massage therapist Kevin and taken to my massage room. With a quick review of my problem areas, away I went to the Land of Peace again! Feeling rejuvenated + relaxed, I left knowing that I would most definitely be returning....with no less than a few friends in tow. I strongly recommend reserving ASAP!!

Had an amazing experience at Scents of Serenity! Everything about the Short Pump location was so inviting from the moment we walked in. We were greeted and welcomed with smiles and great energy from everyone. The spa is beautifully decorated and clean! Lauren who booked our appointment was very sweet and accommodating. We received a couples massage from Kevin and Jackie and I can’t say enough good things about it. They made sure that we were comfortable and we left feeling so relaxed. They were magical! We will definitely be back.

This spa is top notch. The customer service was outstanding, they were attentive, kind, courteous, smiled, listened to my concerns, and really just made it a perfect spa day for me. Kacie (who did my facial) was extremely knowledgeable of the products she was using and why she was using them as well as the actual treatment of my skin. She paid very close attention to detail and made me feel completely ultra pampered. I booked a couples massage and from the time I spent on the phone getting it scheduled down to the time we walked out, it was impeccable service. The massage itself was perfect! My massage therapist really listened to what I was looking for from my massage and checked in throughout to make sure my experience was enjoyable and comfortable. 10/10 will absolutely book with Scents of Serenity again!

I set a birthday appointment/ girls day a month in advance for my fiancé and her best friend. The appointment was for a facial and a massage each. I paid nearly $600 including advanced 20% gratuity for the therapists only to have them show up and told that first they were not in the system, second the appointment had been cancelled. Regardless of the proof of appointment, payment and confirmation they were unable to do anything other than say “oh we can offer you possible upgrades and a discount for next time.” Out of maybe 20 plus spas in a 30 mile or so radius I would never come back to this location even though short pump is a nice area. Clearly either management or leadership hasn’t shown anyone how to use a calendar or taught anyone in staff training about proper accountability in business. If you’re looking to treat your significant other to a day of relaxation I would choose somewhere different because $600 and a month in advance appointment won’t help the incompetency of the staff who clearly have a disconnect in communication.

My husband purchased a spa package for my birthday so he handled all of the booking communication. He said the process was very easy. I had never had a full spa day. From the moment I set foot in the spa I felt relaxed. The Short Pump location was gorgeous. Every little detail is taken into account. I used the soaker tub, had a 90 minute Massage (Troy was great and very friendly) followed by a facial (Kacie made my skin look and feel amazing). We did a couple of the add on options and my day was perfectly relaxing. I will totally do it again. Highly recommend for anyone needing a day to just unplug, relax and feel calm.

My first visit to Scents of Serenity Spa and it was fabulous!! The staff were pleasant & professional, and clearly explained all the new procedures in place due to COVID. My Massage Therapist, Anna, was fabulous!! She listened to my areas of concern and focused her treatment accordingly! One of the best massages I e ever had and definitely the best one here in Richmond! Can’t wait for my next visit!!

I planned a spa day for myself and my daughter for Christmas. My appointment was canceled due to the spa’s fault (an alleged computer glitch even though it was booked over a month in advance). They could not accommodate us and left us high and dry. They were also completely unapologetic and made no effort to correct THEIR error. Go anywhere else but here!!!

I had my first massage there this weekend and it was amazing. The women that worked there were so sweet and it was a very relaxing atmosphere. I received the aromatherapy massage and I will be making another booking for one! The only downfall is they do not accept visa gift cards which is what I was going to use to pay. I have never heard of a company accept visa debit cards but not the gift cards. But besides that it was a great experience and I will be back!

I have been to their Richmond location before, but this was my first time in their Short Pump location. The space is beautiful and very calming when you walk in. Their front desk team is so kind and knowledgeable about products and services.I did a 90 minute hot stone massage with Jackie and could have gone another hour! Jackie was great! Asked helpful questions before we got started and made great suggestions if I wanted to schedule a follow up appointment. Well worth every penny!

I didnt know how much I needed a massage until after Id gotten one from Melanie at Scents of Serenity Spa & Wellness! Ive had a few massages in my life, but the one I got from Melanie was the absolute best! Others I know who have been to her feel the same. The spa itself is gorgeous, as you can see from the pictures - stylish yet tranquil. The lighting, soft music and decor are the perfect combination to help you relax. My wife and I had a couples massage for my birthday, much needed for both of us. Both of our therapists (sorry terrible with names) were very friendly and welcoming! They made sure that both of us were comfortable and provided additional pillows. For me the massage portion was spot on; correct pressure, worst areas focused on, and let me know what areas needed some work too. My wife is not as much of a massage lover as me, however she felt like the right areas were worked as well! I would recommend going to either this location or their Grove location, they truly take the Commercial feel out of the spa world these days like other places. They embody the world of relaxing and letting go!

Friendly staff. Mari is amazing. She booked my sister and me at the last minute so I could treat her out for her birthday. My sister raved about how well Sam took care of her and Kacie, who did my facial, was amazing. Super friendly and super knowledgeable of how to care for my skin type. I usually go to Massage Envy but I think I may have found my new spot! The entire team is amazing. There was a hiccup with a product that I was going to purchase. It was incorrectly labeled but the cashier would not honor the sticker price... Bummer. But I really like the products I currently use anyway so its not a deal breaker. Again, great experience. I highly recommend!!

From start to finish, this place is amazing! I saw Alexa for the Mindful Moments massage and it was life changing. I pass by this location almost everyday and I never thought twice to visit it. I’m glad that I did! I was always skeptical about massage places for their effectiveness but this was a great first experience! I highly recommend seeing Alexa as well. She added such peacefulness to the therapy. Go to any of the locations, I’m sure you won’t regret it!

THIS is the experience you hope to have at a spa! The atmosphere immediately puts you at ease and relaxes you in preparation for whatever treatment you’re there for. The massages have spoiled me to where I don’t want to go anywhere else. The products they use and sell are all organic and the best in quality. You truly feel like you’ve just done something so kind to and good for your body when you leave. I visit Richmond often and make a visit to Scents of Serenity as often as I’m able to on my trips. There’s absolutely nothing like it in DC, where I live.

I attended the Short Pump location. It is a very well appointed spa with excellent attention to detail. I scheduled a 90 minute massage and was expecting that. Instead I had a 90 minute appointment. I arrived 10 minutes prior to my 12:30 appointment and was met by my massage attendant at exactly 12:30 and escorted to my room. My massage began at about 12 minutes till 1 and was over at exactly 2 PM. I have massages regularly and when I pay for a 90 minute massage that what I expect. Im used to getting 90 minutes from the tine the massage starts. I paid for approximately 20 minutes of massage which I didnt receive. Their menu should read 30, 60. 90 minute appointments not massages. Had I received the 90 minutes I paid for I would have given this 5 stars. Disappointing

When I walked in the door I felt like I just stepped into the doors of a resort spa. The facility is gorgeous. The staff was friendly throughout my time there, from the front desk at check-in to the esthetician, masseuse and check out. If you haven’t given this facility a try I suggest you do! I recently had a great experience at Scents of Serenity. It was my first time there and I was completely relaxed the second I walked into the spa. I loved the decor and all the little touches that were put into making this spa truly a haven! I was there to receive a brazilian wax from Lucy. She was kind, gentle, and put me at ease. Great ambiance. My first time going and Ill be back. The therapist I had complimented my energy. When I wanted to chat, she chatted back. When I didnt she kept quiet. I never had to tell her how much pressure to apply. All I need is a glass of champagne for my next visit and Ill be officially in serenity.

What an incredibly relaxing environment. I try and get facials once every month or two. I was going to Elena at Red Door spa. When they closed, I learned Elena moved to Scents of Serenity so I followed her. What a great decision! Such a relaxing and professional environment and the products they sell are amazing! I am using a charcoal gel purifying cleanser now and I love the way it makes my face feel when I am done.

I always go to scents of serenity in short pump. I am a personal trainer and group fitness instructor so Im always full of knots and what not. My girl Leigh is fabulous and has learned my body and how to help me get the best out of my 2 hour massages with her. She completely knows what she is doing and is always asking me each time I see her if I need any special attention to a certain area and gives it the focus it needs.

My fiance and I went for a couples facial. It was his first time having a facial and we had a great time! They were super informative in walking him through everything they doing - his skin has never looked better. We will be back again! We also had a couples massage a few months ago that was AMAZING!

Scents of Serenity is the absolute best. I have recurring lower back problems and ever since my first appointment the staff has been conscious and attentive to that fact. The relief I have experienced after visits is lasting and they address any and all tension you may be feeling. To make things even better they have an incredibly welcoming and calming environment in their waiting area and in all their rooms. Their service is always always above my expectations. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

A Scents of Serenity Organic Spa experience is transcending. Stepping into the beautiful atmosphere of diffused essential oils and gorgeous decor was just the beginning. I said yes to the tea while made comfy in the sitting room and marveled at my surroundings feeling like I was was the most important appointment of the day. The staff was genuine and courteous. I was then escorted to another over the top room for my massage. I’ve had many massages and can tell you from experience my therapist was skilled. So as the soft music played and my sore body was relaxing, knowing the products were truly organic and cleanliness a priority a big plus, I’m sure I fell asleep. Thank you for such a great Spa right here in RVA and Glen Allen.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, I WAS a member until I had a expensive massage where I was freezing the entire time. I did communicate my discomfort but to no avail. The massages here are not inexpensive so when I called and told them my experience they gave me a mere $25 off a $185 massage. Honestly I was insulted. I just spent $185 for 90 minutes to be cold. I understand they need to make a profit but where does the client needs come into it. Basic warmth is paramount to a massage!

Consistently above average service - 4 services, 4 excellent experiences. I have had an amazing facial and deep tissue massage here in the past. I recently decided to try the waxing services as my other place has left my skin stressed out. Not only was the waxing service great, but everyone at the shop was very helpful with helping me sort out my moisturizer and cleansing options as the weather changes have severely dried out my skin and my normal products are not cutting it right now. Top notch, professional, caring, educated staff and always the best service and caring demeanor. I think the organic products are wonderful and Ive felt confident that everyone who I have worked with knows what they are doing. This is my go to spa. Period.

I received a 60 minute massage and have new back pain and no less than when I got the massage. Very pretty inside but missing fundamentals and focusing on aesthetics. Paid extra for deep tissue, did not feel like deep tissue. Very overpriced for the experience.

Ive been going since they opened. Richmonds only true complete organic spa. Ingredients matter to me and to my body. I really like how they offer so many services and products. This last service was done at the Glen Allen location with Emily. I left feeling like a Queen! Thank you SOS for providing your community the best organic services! Ill be back again soon!

Wow, wow, wow, wow wow. This place is an unreal hidden gem! I had no idea it was there, but I wish I had known sooner! My partner and I did a couples massage here last week and have never felt so relaxed! It was amazing. The place is beautiful and the front desk service is great! Our appointment with Carrie and Alexa was perfect, and we couldnt reccomend them more! I would absolutely recommend this place over more popular places like Hand and Stone.

The fact that you can schedule online is a huge plus but even calling in, you can get immediate service that is always super helpful! Other places they just let goto voicemail..

And I have to say I have had many many many massages over Myers and I have to say bu far Liz is on Top of that list. This was my first time at Scents of Serenity and it was an amazing experience. I did the French bikini sugaring and it was night and day compared to waxing. Lucy was so wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. She explained the whole process to me, offered me some great advice, and was so friendly and easy to talk to during the sugaring. I have visit spa in the Glenn Allen location. Beautiful spa, very clean , relaxing , beautiful decoration . Staff are friendly. I did a facial , and absolutely loved the organic product. The product is light , smell delicious, skin feels clean and fresh . Will be back next month !

Questionable Ethics and Poor Customer Service. (Long, but worth reading) Review completed by Anthonys wife, Annie(If you dont have time to read the takeaway is that they were VERY sketchy with the medical forms and just rude.)When I originally booked my appointment, I was unclear as to which address I was booking my appointment. I was given a description, but no address. In retrospect, this part was my fault, I should have insisted on the specific street address.My appointment was for 12:30 massage and facial. I had arrived at the incorrect location (they are 20 minutes apart) around 12:22. I was told by the front desk lady that judging by what she saw of the other locations schedule, this should be no issue because there was a gap. She called the other location to let them know and assured me I would be fine and able to receive my services in full. I realize that the mistake was mine, but how it was dealt with was horrible.So, I book it to the next location and arrive at 12:45. I notice at this point there is not a single other customer in the building at this time. I am encouraged (told) to quickly sign the medical form without getting a chance to read it. They said my masseuse would go over it with me upstairs. (Spoiler, she did not). At this point I am already uncomfortable.I am then rushed upstairs and told right off of the bat that this will be cut short because of the time I arrived. There are no customers upstairs, and many empty rooms. My massage was only 14 minutes long, it was supposed to be 30 minutes. The whole time the lady massaging me kept using words like quickly. This was not relaxing at all. I felt so disrespected and could not relax, I was on the verge of tearsIF there truly was another customer coming in right after me, then they should have told me to reschedule, or taken the massage or facial off of my purchase. However, instead I received a haphazard excuse for a massage. Then, I received the facial for the full 30 minutes.This lady was much kinder, and the facial was close to the full 30 minutes. She gave me recommendations but even the facial was a 4/10 at best. I should note I have pretty clear skin, just clogged pores which I noted to the aesthetician ahead of time. At the end my pores were still visible clogged. It was not one of the better facials I have had, but it was exponentially better than the massage.On my way to the front desk to pay for my appointments, I notice that there are still no other customers. There was no need for my appointments to be rushed. I go to checkout at the front desk, and would you believe it BUT THEY ASK ME TO FILL OUT THE MEDICAL FORMS THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE ME FILL OUT BEFOREHAND. They wanted to make it appear that they did it properly and had me fill it out beforehand.There were a number of ways the salon could have handled the scheduling mishap, this was the worst of them. Honestly, I wish I just wouldnt have had the massage at all, because I felt so uncomfortable.Do not go here. If you receive a gift card and have to engage, I would recommend neither of these services. Consider re gifting the gift card or using it on merchandise or a different service.

I went in to Scents of Serenity for several services (facial, massage, & microdermabrasion), I bought a package which was an amazing deal. I had an incredible experience from the time I walked in the spa, the environment was so relaxing and the staff was very warm and welcoming. The owner was there and checked me in and was super sweet making sure I had everything I needed. My massage therapist (Michelle) came and got me right away and WOW! It was the best massage I have had, she was very attentive and just the right amount of pressure during the massage. After that Heather did my facial and microdermabrasion and let me tell you, it was awesome. She discussed my skin with me and made some great recommendations. The products she used smelled so amazing, and my face has never looked so good. I did purchase some products because honestly my face looked so great I am hoping using the products will keep it that way! The owner checked me out and again I was impressed about the professionalism of the owner and staff. I have found my skincare home at this spa! YAY!

I had the most wonderful facial with Tracy. Not only was she very professional, she was extremely interested in meeting my needs and in explaining everything she was doing. I have nothing but great things to say about Scents of Serenity Organic Spa... I have previously had a facial and a massage here. The surroundings are so inducive to a total relaxation experience. On Tuesday I had my first visit to Scents of Serenity. It was also my first hot stone massage, which was wonderful, and my first exposure to all organic massage products. My therapist Michele did an outstanding job and explained everything she was doing. This was my first visit, but it certainly wont be my last. I plan to get back to Scents whenever I can.

I live walking distance to the Libbie/Grove location, but wanted to try out the new Short Pump location, which looks really cute and seems to offer an array of different services.I scheduled appointments for myself, my twin sister, and boyfriend to get massages and a facial on my twin sister and Is birthday. I scheduled these appointments a good month out and received numerous emails and intake forms to confirm the appointments. The very morning of our services, I received a phone call about an hour before our appointments to inform us that the esthetician who was to perform the facial had called out sick and therefore the facial was not possible. We wound up cancelling the other two services since we were planning to come into together as a birthday celebration.Given the COVID-19 pandemic, I am grateful that sick employees are not performing services, however, I am surprised that they do not anticipate these types of situations and have backup estheticians to provide services in case someone calls out. I frequent spas all the time and have never had a service cancelled the morning of with so little notice. Obviously, we are very disappointed and will take our business elsewhere in the future.

I had a prenatal massage yesterday with Bridget! The new space in short pump is incredible, so beautiful, I wish I could have just hung out there all afternoon. The staff was especially cognizant of COVID precautions and even pregnant I felt super safe, and was surprised that I could still relax with my mask on. Not to mention Bridget checked in on pressure and areas that I wanted her to focus on! She was wonderful and I already have another appointment booked for July.

The spa is lovely and the services I received were wonderful. Amanda and Kacie were experts at massage and facials and for the first time, I rebooked before I left a spa. One of the best group of services I have received (the 1/2 day spa package). Highly recommend.

Went for Brazilian bikini and legs waxing with Lucy. She did a great job and I would definitely come back and recommend to all my friends. She is always very professional and attentive and never painful. The place also is very clean and has a nice relaxing spa environment.

I found Scents of Serenity through Groupon and first brought my girlfriend here for her birthday surprise. Ive done a couples massage, Swedish massage and infrared and microdermabrasion a few times, bringing my sister from California once to share the experience. I make the hour drive because I LOVE the ambiance and staff! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!with fantastic ambiance and great staff!

Elena was very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. The experience definitely changed my perspective on waxing.

My go to place for massages! I found this when it was close to my prior house. I read nothing but positive reviews and finally decided to give this place a try with their mom-to-be massages that my husband purchased for me when prego. Since there (2018) this is my go to! My favorite and only person I use is Alexa. She is fantastic and the armpit queen hahaha (Seriously though!).Located has moved from Mountain Road to Staples Mill, bigger location, and the atmosphere is still relaxing and positive. Their services available are fantastic and their staffs are professional and friendly/helpful with any questions that you have. They also have Eminence Organic products that I was introduced to recently and are obsessed with!Love love LOVE this place. Highly recommend it! They also have an easy to use website to book the appointments and they also work with the MINDBODY app as well.

Rude and unprofessionalMy wife had been here before and liked the services. On her last appointment she called in advance to state that she was going to be a few minutes late. She was told that she made the appointment and that she could not be late for it. The lady was very patronizing and borderline rude. The least that they could have done is give her a massage a few minutes short, she was still paying full price. They made a big deal about it. Anyway, its their loss. Now that my wife is out of her pregnancy, she was looking to get spa appointments at least twice a month. They just lost a loyal customer.

This was my first experience at any spa and i loved it. This place is a gem. It felt very relaxing and peaceful. They are very welcoming and explained us everything throughout our appointment. They even gave us samples on our way out. Will definitely come back.

What a beautiful place. I had a fabulous message. I loved the variety of options, costs and add-ons.

First, this reception staff are welcoming and knowlegable. Second, the Spa is GORGEOUS as well as clean and soothing to all the senses. Third, unlike many spas, you can not hear anything coming from outside the room or from another room. And lastly, my service provider Kevin was amazing and professional! I highly recommend!

I have been to some very high end spas, but none of them touch Scents of Serenity. The moment you walk in, you are greeted and made to feel right at home. The decor is perfect. Its not a SHE SHED but a SHE SPA. The rooms are very relaxing and comfortable. I had the pleasure of getting a Blueberry Detox facial that smelled so good I could have ate my own face. My esthetician was Jana. She was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the products that she used. I will definitely go back a d I highly recommend this little gem im Glem Allen!

Youll be extremely surprised by the look of the outside and the inside of this location. From the outside it doesnt really look like anything special but once you walk in its apparent that they staff really enjoy what they do and where they work. Everyone was extremely pleasant and helpful and the massage was fantastic. This is a great place for wedding parties and pampering as well. Give them a shot you certainly wont be disappointed!

I enjoyed a 60 min. facial with Martha and must say it was one of the best facials I have ever received. The ambience of the Spa was simply wonderful and all of the staff that I encountered were very accommodating. I look forward to my next facial and highly recommend Scents of Serenity

I had an excellent massage for my birthday. The staff was helpful, warm and friendly. Everyone was wearing masks and their was sanitizer available so I felt very safe. Will definitely be going again!

My experience was simply amazing. The decor, the service, the atmosphere made me feel like I was in another world. I treated myself to a spa day for my 35th birthday and it was well worth the time and money spent. I had an amazing deep tissue massage and facial. I cant wait to go back again!!!!!

Scents of Serenity is amazing! I try to go as often as possible. My partner and I like to see Alexa and Tabitha, but honestly everyone we have gotten has been so great and very attentive to what you want to work on that session, things to avoid or focus on, any injuries or special needs, etc. The rooms and building and whole ambience is amazingly relaxing, the options and add-ons are awesome and priced really well, and weve never had less than a perfect experience all around!

Everything was nice and professional and calm. Got a gift card for Christmas for a package. Massage was great and my facial was amazing. Just moved here at the beginning of the year…So glad I think it’s going to be my go to place!

Every visit is like a vacation! Whether I go for a rejuvenating massage or an organic microderm facial, I always feel I’ve completely left Richmond, I’ve completely forgotten my stress, and I’m completely doing something good for myself. Lovely spot. The eminence line of products is the best skin care line Ive ever found. There was a bit of a discrepancy between what we booked and how the team planned. But they fixed it and were lovely to work with.

WARNING!! Please read….I live in Short Pump and was super excited about having my husband try Serenity. He has been working super hard and I wanted to do something special for him. This was not it! Serenity is very deceiving. My husband was to get a CBD bath. All it was was cold water. He did not even get in and waited in the chair until the timer rang. We were both so disappointed. The workers were not knowledgeable and have not even wanted to return my calls when I have expressed my dissatisfaction with everything. Please do not waste your time or hard earned money.

Their waiting room decorated in tones of cream and blue, is a haven for all weary professionals especially moms.I recommend their Aromatherapy massage, with the balance essential oil blend. With its earthy soothing fragrance it dissolves all tension and aches. My massage therapist, Lara is truly exceptional. She took care of my leg pain (from Zumba) and my back ache.I highly recommend Scents of Serenity for anyone looking for a personalized yet affordable spa experience.

Got the European facial yesterday with Sarah and I loved it! It was really good I definitely recommend it. Their products are all natural and you can purchase them which I will be doing so. They are on the expensive side but they are all natural so its worth the investment. Will be going again before the end of summer.

I like this spa, but this is the third facial in a row where I left feeling like nope, that didnt feel like a $200 dollar facial. Its also the third time the facial has been cut short by 10-15 minutes or so. I mentioned it to the person at the front desk and they didnt do anything about it. I think its too much fluff lately for the price. Ill look elsewhere for now.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this spa! I have had a few services done here and each have been so relaxing and the staff have been pleasant. I definitely appreciate their response to covid and maintaining compliance throughout the spa. If there’s one thing you need in 2020, it’s a trip to Serenity!

I was in need of a good massage. My normal place has been closed due to Covid so I branched out and found this spa. I had Kevin and he was awesome. Deep tissue with hot stones. One of the best massages I’ve had in this city. The price was reasonable and this is my go to spot now for massages.

The ambiance is spectacular ... the atmosphere and wonderful staff leave you feeling completely relaxed. My husband and I get the couples massages and have been to many other spas, and this is THE ONLY spa we will go to now.

The rooms are decorated beautifully. The massage therapist take their time talking with you and understanding you. The staff was welcoming when I arrived and helpful and knowledgeable on the products they sell.

Emili was hands on sharing recommendations and asked many questions about my needs. She was listening and recommending what I needed but was not pushy about anything. I felt a natural glow after and she really gave me the confidence I needed :)

I received a deep tissue massage from Leigh (Massage Therapist) which is beyond the best. Leigh resolved some chronic pain issues I’ve been having. The spa is a relaxing and tranquil environment . I highly recommend Leigh.

I have been getting facials from Kasey for a couple months now and she is wonderful! So knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere is so relaxing, products are all natural and organic, and all the staff is so kind and helpful!

I had my first hot stone massage ever and it was to die for! Shana was awesome and I enjoyed the whole experience. I had not been to the spa in a while and loved seeing all the wonderful changes they have made.

I received a gift certificate for a massage and facial and upon booking my appointment, clearly indicating what kind of gift certificate I had, the receptionist booked me for a 60 minute massage and 60 minute facial. Both were wonderful given by Michelle. HOWEVER, upon checking out, the front desk notifies me that the services I received were not the services on the gift certificate and that I owe an addition $66. It seems that the receptionist that booked my services was mistaken and that I had to pay for her mistakes!!!! The girl that checked me out was kind enough to call the owner to see if anything could be done about this fiasco, but the owner was adamant in that I had to pay for their mistakes. BE CAREFUL WHEN BOOKING WITH THIS OUTFIT. I feel that I was a victim of a scam.

The atmosphere was very calming and relaxing. My appointment was with Carrie and she is an absolute godsend/miracle worker. I HIGHLY recommend and am sending friends!

This is a warning for the short girls.....This is a spa that, when it was designed, did not have us in mind. Don’t get me wrong, I had a lovely experience and would go back. But I wouldn’t do the bath soak. It was not at all relaxing. I spent about half of the time trying to figure out how I could lay back and relax without drowning (I couldn’t) and the other half just kind of sitting or leaning back, waiting for the alarm to sound. If there was a bath pillow and something that would’ve prevented me from sliding and having my head go under, it probably would’ve been great. But they didn’t, so it wasn’t.Then I took a short shower and when I got out, I could only see the top of my head in the mirror. Again, no one was thinking about the short girls.

I had the best experience as usual! Tracy is a very experienced specialists and the facial was great. Looking forward to the new Voya based treatment whenever its incorporated into the menu.

A real jewel of a spa. Had my first visit recently - a massage with Lara and I must say - it was one of the best ever! Definitely will recommend this spa and look forward to a return visit.

I have been seeing Emily for over a year now. The environment here really helps you relax. I usually get the Mindful Moments Massage but the Aromatherapy Massage and Herbal Compress massage is great too.

Very pleasant experience, very accommodating I had several questions and wanted to make sure my wife would enjoy herself as well due to her being a little more sensitive to touch and she loved the whole experience!! Will definitely come back hopefully making this apart of our monthly self love routine ❤️

I waited for years to get another facial because Ive never seen results that i expected to see. This was the first time I actually saw results from a facial. And, the results were lasting. The bags under my eyes were almost gone. I felt refreshed and i plan to go back next month for another facial.

The Spa was immaculate and the staff was so nice. Everything was so organized and I enjoyed every minute of the Seascape Spa package. Kevin was professional and amazing. 10 out of 10.
