OYO Hotel O Henderson Kerr Lak I-85 N

Price is good. Hotel has a very low grade. Rooms are not up to par. They need professional/qualified workers/employees that know how to run a hotel. Doesnt really operate like the average hotel. More like an apartment complex/motel. Unruly guests, children running all over the place, people cooking on grills. Unprofessional stuff going on.

The hotel room I booked was not clean. There was burned cigarettes in my toilet and the sink has I dont know what still in it. The skirt around the bed was ripped and tore. The whole room smelled like cigarettes. It was horrible. When we walked in my husband automatically knew he didnt want to stay. So we found another hotel to stay at for our time here and waisted our money here.

I book this room through a third party (Getaroom.com) on June 25, 2021, Hotel O in Henderson Kerr Lake NC. Upon arriving the property looked poorly maintained with grass growing in the parking lot and curtains in most rooms were partially down. After driving for 9 hours, I thought that the room surly couldn’t be too bad, UNTIL I opened the door and saw live roaches running across the floor and the room was musty. I decided that this place was not for me and went to the front desk to turn my key back in and get a refund from the manager. He told me that he could not give me a refund due to the fact that he had received payment as of yet. Upon my contacting the the third party, they were told that I did not get a refund due to the fact that I was satisfied with the room, WHICH WAS A LIE. As of July 26, I am out of $71.42. Stay away from this place.

This place is unkept from the outside to the room. Room 200 was not clean, cob webs noticable, carpet wet, which in turn caused to room to smell musty. It took the TV 20 minutes to warm up and the remote was remote, it did not work. There was a hole in the sheet that looked like it was caused by some type of cigarette. All and all the room was not fit for company. There was NO signage, although there was an empty sign visible. Never have I and never will I stay in such a trashy place! I wish I could post pictures! Disgusting!!!!

We were visiting family and found this hotel through booking.com. The room, bed, and bathroom were nice considering the hotel was being upgraded. We had trouble getting hot water and the management had to reset the hot water heater a couple of timed to get hot water. The grounds had trash flying around in the wind. We stayed 4 days.

Take tour own cleaning supplies for toilet & shower. Carpet was wet, no one couldnt have cleaned that room, ashtray was still dirty as well. You have to turn tv on side of tv instead of remote. For the price for one night I guess thats what you get

Found the room online & went there last night 10/14/21 around midnight after working a 12 hour shift. 1st red flag there is no signs indicating where the hotel is, it almost looks as if the property is abandoned when pulling into the parking lot, the outside lighting is horrible! The outside itself looks like the setting for a scary movie. When walking into the lobby the floor is sticky & flithy! The 1st room 123 the door didnt lock so we was in & out. Went to the lobby to get a different room, the receptionist was very apologetic & nice. She switched the room to 119. Before heading to that room I went back to my car & grabbed my pepper spray and preceeded to look for room 119. While walking to the room I noticed ALOT of hand written letters TAPED to the windows saying DO NOT ENETER MY ROOM! Finally found 119 after the scary walk through a poorly lit building with random people watching you , looking to see where you are going, I hope not to rob me (VERY SCARY) But finally I open room 119 & I AM GREETED BY A ROACH & BEDBUGS. Needless to say I was out the room before the door shut, pepper s6in hand cautiously going back to the front desk to request a refund. There is a sign in the lobby that says you have 20 mins to get a refund for your room if youre unhappy. I was in & out of both rooms in less than 10 mins. Received my refund and RAN AWAY sooo fast. This is the scene for a scary movie. Ths place appears as if it houses homeless people, drug addicts & people who dont care about their lives or yours. If youre going there PLEASE PLEASEEEEE BE CAREFUL! I didnt get a chance to look & see if anything worked in the room because I was in & out. But the bathroom mirror was visible as soon as you walked in the room & it looked like my 2 year neice cleaned it.

I had booked this place through hotels.com a few weeks prior to traveling to Henderson. After driving 12 hours from my location to this destination, the staff was unable to find my reservation. I then went to show the confirmation email and saw an email was sent from OYO an hour prior to my arrival cancelling my reservation as the property is under renovation. That would have been nice to know several days before and not an hour before my arrival. The property was not as described (minus the warnings from most reviews) and seemed unsafe anyway (witnessed a couple seemingly casual drug deals go down in the car next to me). I do not recommend booking a stay here, as the whole experience was sketchy and it doesnt seem the hotel is functioning appropriately for a brief stay. I didnt actually stay here, but I wouldnt select any stars regardless.

We booked this hotel on short notice to get a few hours of sleep while driving from Washington DC to Atlanta GA. When we arrived to the hotel, the doors to the front lobby were locked, there was a handwritten sign on the door sorry, we are fully booked and no one was at the front desk, nor picking up the phone. When I requested a refund as we were clearly not provided with accommodation services, the hotel chose to obide by their no-cancelation policy!! I strongly discourage anyone from booking at this hotel!

Checked in late night September 18,2021 around 11:00, went right to bed. Woke up to find the sink clogged, no towels or wash, toilet backed up, and the fire alarm was disassembled, no phone in room tried to call hotel from my cell got automated never-ending loop, so I went to the front desk and spoke with attendant who didnt seem to care and was told I should have called earlier and he was not responsible and couldnt do anything to compensate me for the inconvenience. WILL NOT USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

It was roaches everywhere room was dirty had to clean it myself because room service never did it never change the sheets or pillows cases overall the motel needs to be shut down I would give it a -0 if I could

Registration process was easy with no major delays, The reception desk look a war zone and the attire of the receptionist was not that professional but in general it was acceptable.Parking lot illumination is poor and signs outside the street to indicate the location of the hotel are non existent. The hotel is advertise as Travelodge by Wyndham, but in reality is called OYO Hotel.The room was very clean and comfortable, sofa, night tables, lamps, microwave, small refrigerator, tv. There was no iron, nor coffee maker.The A/C unit was working fine. Let me add that the room should have been cooler by the time the CONFIRMED AND PAID customer arrive, but of course it was not and the thermostat indicated the room was at 85 degrees. It took a while for it to cool down.There is no continental breakfast in this hotel. By the way there was continental breakfast in other hotels by the same chain and inexpensive as this one.

Everything was all moldy and the owner schemes people out their money. Rooms half cleaned. He doing rooms over, but putting everything new on top of mold.

We booked our room through priceline and they automatically withdrew the money but failed to reserve the room in my name so therefore this pitiful place of business/hotel did not have reservation under my name nor did they have any vacancies the so called receptionist said.

The roles does not look anything like it is on the photos one of the rooms did not have no towels cigarette ashes was in the floor had to be moved to another room which had roaches in the refrigerator he did not work and people was outside banging to get in the room next door it was a very bad experience but the front desk man was very cooperative and giving me half of my money back

A dirty ashtray in the room is more than enough proof that they dont have a clue about cleaning and sanitization.

Sheets hadnt been changed we had no towels or bath cloth. The water didnt even get too hot

This place is disgusting! It looks nothing like the pictures. Stains and pubic hair everywhere. Filthy tub, sink and floor.

Roach motel... do not waste your money... the entire building is overrun with roaches.

The hotel rating us great because of overnight lodging and more.

Just nasty dont stay here ever wish I kud give zero stars roaches met me at the door
