Honestly, I’m not a huge massage envy fan. I have been going here for one specific person however, if it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t even write a positive review. Her name is Yolandra. She’s at the anthem location. She has years of experience and instead of working inside, the casinos are at the fancy spas. She decided to find something closer to home. The best facials you ever have in your life has nothing to do with the spa and everything to do with the aesthetician! Because of this particular aesthetician Yolandra and give them a five star, but if you’re looking for massages or anything else, I can’t really tell you that I’ve had any good experiences and I’ve been to several of them they’ve been mediocre at best
My cousin gifted me a 90 minute massage here. I went to the wrong location first but wasnt far from the right one and made it on time since I had left home early. I was taken back and given a bit of an awkward massage. Too hard in places that should be lighter and too light in places that should have gotten more pressure. I was given hard painful knuckles and was pinched several times against the bed and had to ask to lighten the pressure a few times. Typically thats fine, its all about adjusting and communicating with your therapist. It didnt get better. I ended up being frustrated because i was distracted by it all now. I also noticed my 90 minute massage was actually an 70 minute massage. I mentioned all of this and a manager never came out to ask me about anything. I was told by the front dest staff Id be charged only half the price. I reminded them that this was a gift and that I wasnt supposed to be charged. They resolved that quickly but nothing was done. They just asked if I was going to tip her or not. I still tipped the massage therapist and was then dismissed. Everyone i dealt with that day was nice, that was never the problem, however I dont recommend this place.
Cancelled my membership due to it being an unnecessary expense I couldn’t afford; unnecessary due to lack of consistency in quality and usually leaving my session not feeling relaxed but frustrated that the needs of my body were not addressed adequately.I understand this is a training facility, however pricing ought to be reduced because of that. I may be an advanced case too due to often carrying quite a bit of tension in my body, but it often felt like a lack of effort from multiple therapists (possibly due to overwork, lack of comfort, etc.). Only one therapist was consistent and truly addressed my needs, and that was Yolanda G. Unfortunately her availability is limited and did not match with mine. I did not have any sessions with the male therapists. If you are someone who doesn’t require firm or deep pressure and just prefer light sweeping strokes for your massage therapy, this may be the place for you.
I had a membership there for a year but just canceled it. Its ok for leisure massages. I often did not good the massage I asked for... i.e., asked for firm pressure and got medium. And on my profile, it mentions knots... only 2 therapists gave attention to my knots when I asked, and thats after going every month for a year. (I have a stressful sit down job so really needed a specific massage, not cookie cutter, run of the mill) Luckily, I was able to pick a favorite, but you have to schedule way early to get what you want. So, I ended up canceling and going to a place that really addressed my needs. I should mention that the stretch session didnt make any difference for me either
Massage experience is always nice. I love how there is not a sales pitch when receiving a massage. You come in and get your massage and leave. However if you want a good deal and can afford the monthly membership I would recommend it.However when I received a facial it was not relaxing at all. I felt like I was asking someone to wash my face and tell me how bad my skin was then I should spend over $150 in product to be entered in a raffle and get some travel size freebies. I understand thats how they make money but sometimes its not welcomed. If huge if, I get a facial again i will tell them I am not interested in purchasing product. And I just want to relax. The staff is always great and really nice. This was my experience so my opinion is based on my many experiences there. I recommend going and trying for yourself.
I understand mistakes happen. But when a business tells you that your appointment is at 1:30 but changes your appointment without confirming with you. Is negligence. They require 24 hour notice to cancel/change your appointment or they will charge you but cant give that same respect to clients that have worked with them for years. This is one of many reasons why I have decided to cancel my massage envy membership. Not only were they forcibly charging me during the pandemic when they were shut down. But they also charged me an extra month to cancel my membership. Because it was 10 days until payment was due. I asked to see the contract I signed to see where it says I need to cancel 10 days before payment, they could not provide that to me. They could not provide a physical current copy to me or my signed copy for me stating technology issues. It is now two weeks and those same issues are still happening and i have not seen a copy of my contract.I am frustrated. For a business that cares about peoples well being, they definitely are not caring on the business side of things. I recommend no one works with this massage envy.
Just because of the oddasity of their pricing. Last time I came to massage envy it was $60 for 60 mins. Now they want $130 for 60 mins. I can get a 2 hours massage almost anywhere else for the same price. Although is it your first time or has been more than 6 months its only $80 for 60 mins. Massage its self was good/decent. But I still wont be back just because of the prices.
Ive been a member here for 6 years. I love it.2 years ago I posted a 5 star review because I had been a member for 6 years and always enjoyed the massages I received. The therapists were almost always friendly and professional and I enjoyed my membership. Now, however, I have been trying to cancel my membership for MONTHS (since April due to lockdown, etc.) and they always seem to forget or have some excuse that they keep charging my card every month. Now, I have my card holder bank involved in disputing the charges as they keep popping up again every month. I havent set foot in the place all year, and will never go back. After the difficulty of trying to cancel my membership, I will also never again recommend them to anyone, which is unfortunate, because I know they provide work for new massage therapists that are trying to build clientele. Never again.
They charge you are annual membership but never have any masses available. When they do make an appointment two weeks out they cancel the day before. They should give refunds when they do this. Dont waste your money theres plenty of people that will come to your home for a massage for less money. The manager is completely incompetent. STAY AWAY
Emma is amazing. Best 90-minute massage Ive had there in a couple years. She deserves accolades from management. She truly cares...you can feel it the time and detail she takes.
This was my first time trying this place and the masseuse, Laura was very nice. However, When I booked my appointment I was told that I would receive the intro rate of the massage $65 and I could do an add-on stretch session for $29 but once I was done with my session today the lady told me I had to pay $39 for the add-on session and said “sorry you was misinformed, but we can give you a free enhancement on your next session” she wouldn’t even honor it after that’s what I was told in person when I booked it! I know it’s only $10 but it’s the principle! That’s not what I was told!! I was looking forward to becoming a member here but I wouldn’t want to be MISINFORMED on anything else again with them, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere!!
I was a member with massage Envy since 2016 and enjoy their service very much until I had to end my membership. What made me give them 2 stars rather than 1 was their excellent masseuse Ana.I am giving this 2/5 star review is because of the rude front desk and their inability to have professional consistency. I was told that my sessions would roll over after I ended my year membership and that they would NOT expire. When I went to use my next roll over hours, the front desk rudely explained to me that they expired and there was nothing she would do for me. I would not recommend this location or yearly membership for this said reason. If you do, get everything written down with the employees name because there is no consistency or reliability for them to do their job professionally.
I dont like to leave bad reviews but this place is a mess. I was called in at 4:10pm just about. We started at 4:17pm and ended at 4:50 pm. I was told by the man that was massaging me that he had to get to the next person so we needed to be finished. I went to the front and let them know my massage was almost 30 minutes and she told me that the massages are only 50 minutes. But when I called to make an appt I was told it would be a 60 min massage. I was totally ripped off. By far the worst experience Ive had. And the staff was of no assistance. I payed full price and left. I wish I could get my money back.
My husband surprised me with a birthday massage. Front desk girls were friendly they help me with the paperwork. My therapist was very friendly and she listened to all my needs. She really worked all the spots that I ask. I ended up getting the membership because Evelyn provided the best massage experience ever.
Love this location. Definitely have a great staff and group of massage therapists. My daughter and I go there often, and they always do their best t oko accommodate us. We have tried several therapists, and now use just 2, but they have all been extremely professional and great at their craft. Never disappointed. ♥️
If this is the one on Eastern avenue it was not great. The only reason why I tipped her as well as I did is cuz I felt bad for her. I had a 90-minute massage 15 minutes was spent on my back 5 minutes on my arms and the rest of a 90-minute massage all she did was rub my calves and feet.
I have been a member of Massage Envy for several years now, I would have to say that the massage I received yesterday was less than satisfactory.1. The therapist used cream, which is not a problem; the issues was she would stop, take her hands off of me, I’d hear her flip open the top of the creme, squeeze in her hand, the roughly rub her hands together, finally going back to the massage. Each time she broke contact the would take me out of my Zen zone.2. She stood too close, the entire massage I felt her shirt, stomach, leg, or breast brush against my arm.3. I did enjoy the use of the hot towels, however, since the towels were too warm when she removed them from the cabbie she blew on them to cool them off gross.... I was not looking for any DNA with my massage.4. Since I just got an amazing facial I asked her to skip my face. She said ok and that she was just going to do my forehead. The last time I checked my forehead is still on my face. Her massage itself wasn’t bad I’d like to suggest that she listen to her guest needs, use oil/lotion, take one step back/ adjust the table height, and maybe wave/fan the towels to cool them off.I would like to end this on a positive note. I did receive an amazing facial from Debbie (I hope I got her name right) She was incredibly knowable about the product, analyzed my skin, ask great questions about my beauty regime, and suggested products for the home. The facial I received was one that I would have excepted in a 5-star resort. Way to go, girlThank you for you take I hope my feedback provides critical insight for you.
I’ve never received a service but After a demo that was provided by them while I was in school I was under the impression they were accepting of new graduates and offered training and a positive atmosphere. For starters My interview was pushed back an entire hour which should of been the first red flag, then I waited an additional 30 minutes to finally start the interview process. The lady that interviewed me her name was Yolanda and she appeared friendly in the lobby but once we got into a treatment room she became extremely condescending and had the nastiest attitude I’ve ever came across in an interview. I was also caught off guard by having to perform a facial in the first interview, but I was happy to do so. Once I realized how unwelcoming her energy was, I couldn’t wait for it to be over and I would NEVER want to work for or receive a service from anyone that treats people that way. I’ve interviewed with jobs and didn’t always get hired but never have I felt so unwelcomed nor have I ever took the time out of my day to write a review. May god bless her and anyone that has to ever experience what I did.
Very relaxing, very good customer service. Therapist always find those tight knots. Been to the Boca Park (my normal spa) and Anthem locations, I love them both. Staff is very friendly.
You guys are absolutely horrible. I show up early because The manager named CHANCE asked me to and I get no massage because you have nobody to give me massage. I get busy and I dont make it in and you charge me 100%. Youre not fair
Very bad management, the manger (Malinda)changed my schedule without informing me, and she told me she forgot to give the new schedule. They cut my hours but kept me on call so they dont pay me .The manger called me assuming I quit my job, which I didnt.Yolandra the lead esthetician is very informative but very rude to staff because she wants to look good for the manager. She talks down at people. The most importantthing to them is to sell product to people ,This job isnt worth the stress for the money they paid.
NEVER GO HERE! If you do, beware of the contract and very limited experienced technicians.Fine Print:1. You can only gift 1 massage without paying a fee.2. Most Importantly..your contract renews monthly, AKA even with massages on file you have to pay extra to cancel even with discussing with management.Their compromise is to offer more terrible massages...seriously?What a mistake!
Unfortunately I could only give 2 stars. There massage therapists are great but their custimer2 service concerning there billing practices are not. Because this is a franchise it appears it isnt ran like the ones I am used to and thats okay because I understand that different people different experience. My billing experience will make me not ever want to return here.
Yolanda was absolutely incredible. Everything cracked, she asked how pressure was, she could do all levels. Seriously went in feeling down and leaving like a new person. Thank you!
I love how friendly and professional the staff is. At first I was nervous and worried, Sabra, my LMT quickly made me feel comfortable. I feel safe in her judgement free hands, its the highlight of my month.5 years later and I still enjoy coming here!
In general I have found Massage Envy to be a poor example of a spa / massage studio. I received a $100 gift card for Xmas and while I expressed gratitude for the thought, I winced.I was SUPPOSED to have a 10am appt. this morning and couldnt make it. They called me about 5 minutes before the appt. and asked if I was going to be there and I told them I couldnt. THe girl then informed me that I would be charged in full (dont know what they THINK theyre going to charge - They dont have the gift card (and were going to charge me FULL PRICE for a massage rather than an introductory rate).Their turnover is high and most of their personnel is inexperienced and incompetent in my experience. I wouldnt recommend this fast food version of a spa to ANYONE, much less bother with gifting them to anyone.
Massage Envy is the worst! I got a maternity massage and I couldn’t move my neck for about 2 weeks. They make the process to canceling memberships so difficult. Their use of technology is outdated.
Loved my experience so much! Highly recommended
I would give this place a five star if it werent for the fact that its very difficult to have a consistent therapist. I know times are difficult but this seems to be an ongoing thing. If you find the right one hopefully they stick! :)
Nyra is fantastic, if they are booked for massages, get a back facial from Nyra, its a combo back massage and facial. So professional and pleasant.
A newly renovated convenient location for massage and facials. There is a main lobby area to sit after check-in or a quiet room for more relaxation. I recommend Lauri for facials.
Five star experience from beginning to end! Easy online booking, clean and convenient location, relaxing atmosphere, amazing massage, and the front desk staff are great too.
There are 2 massage therapists there, Alex and Rome, that keep me coming back. Alex is phenomenal with hot stones and Rome is a miracle worker with his hands and stretching! Life savers.
Do not hold their scheduled times. Will change times without informing you. Plenty of other good massage places in town. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Modern and clean facility. Some therapists are amazing, some are satisfactory. All are professional. Front staff is kind, courteous, and accommodating.
I love this location is always calm and people are nice. I have been enjoying my massages with Evelyn for more than a year always the best.
Chris, Lead LMT was great. Even pressure throughout. This is important. She listened and her massage worked the areas I had concerns with.
We had excellent massages with Ellie and Rebecca, returned the following week and made appts in January when we return for a month
Always a nice experience. Enjoy my facials with Sam. My skin always feel clean and looks refreshed!
Evelyn is the only deep tissue massage therapist on my side and she is phenomenal!
Pricy but worth it! Very consistent in quality of service. Atmosphere is calm and relaxed.
Best masseuse Ive ever had. Ask for Rebecca, you wont be disappointed.
Great customer services. Great message!! The place is professional and exhibit great services. I will be back for the membership.
Jenaro is amazing at his job... book an appointment with him today and see what I mean.
Took daughter to get a facial and she loved it! Her skin looks so much better.
We have been several times, and we just love this one. The people are so friendly and wonderful..
Front desk wasnt pleasant and massaged was not impressive! Facial was okay
If you don’t have anything nice to say...don’t say it🤭. Just make sure you’re getting charged correctly.
Professional people serving you. Clean rooms. Enjoyable experience.
Fantastic!! Ask for Evelyn or Emma! Great hands if u like firm pressure!!
My wife really enjoyed her birthday massage.
So good. Very professional good tea nice waiting room ✨💯 relaxing
Yama is the best massage therapist in the Henderson area.
Not bad. Better than others of like business.
Fantastic place. Unsure why they are so envious though.
Excellent massages with expert technicians.
Kwan and Jon are awesome!
