This has become my new place to grab a few drinks. Up until a few months ago, I had only been here a handful of times over the years as I had a different bar preference. I decided to pop in here on a whim one night whereas I usually avoided it due to the extreme loudness of the live music. It was a weeknight, Thursday I believe, and it was pretty mellow. The bartender was Theresa, who was AMAZING!!!!! She was upbeat, friendly, and great at her job, making me feel right at home. Spent a couple hours there and stuck around at closing time to help her clean up a bit-wiping tables and gathering glasses. I have returned several times now and have chosen it to be my regular bar.
If youre going there to converse with friends, you should probably rethink it and go elsewhere because they generally have a live band after 9:00 that is almost always louder than they need to be. Also, keep in mind they are a cash only bar that does allow smoking.
Bring a respirator if you care about your health. 30 seconds inside and it took the rest of the night to get the smell of cigs out of my nose. Too bad as I wouldve enjoyed the music and spent some $$$ while I was there. Note to owners: get rid of smoking and make some actual money off your business.
The mixed drinks are VERY low alcohol content. They charge $8.95 for a Long Island ice tea that is nearly all ice and juice. Comparatively, at the Frosty Gator, one Long Island will knock you on your a$$. Live music is ok, thats why I gave it 2 stars.
Beware - this is a cash only bar. They do not take credit or debit cards. Other than live music, this bar is fun for the casual night out on the town.
