Club XYZ

Ive been to several clubs and bars around the area and never have I ever had trouble with the bar service itself. It was very packed tight the bar area was super crowded and nobody rotated once they got their drinks. The bar tenders themselves were quite rude. My friends and I waited a good 45 minutes just for a simple cocktail while other people whove gotten their at the same time got their drinks in less than ten minutes. Thats quite ridiculous in my opinion. My partner also saw one of the buss boys talk to the bartender and point at us and we think thats why they didnt serve us for so long because the buss boy said we were in the way so we moved to a better spot at the bar and we apologized and still didnt get serviced while everyone around us was also doing the same thing. The cocktails also tasted very watered down Ive had three and didnt even get a buzz. The bar tenders also didnt look very happy. The atmosphere was decent I was able to get to the front and watch the drag show but beware people will get in front of you even if you were there first. I personally dont plan on going back there for a while.

Went in to check out the scene for first time ever since YOUR TIME shows 3 AM I am an Uber driver so was only asking to use the bathroom and was RUDELY INTERRUPTED TO THE BARTENDER YELLING WE ARE CLOSED I CAN NOT LET YOU DO THAT!!! Already A HUGE RED FLAG on the energy there and I hope no one ever treats your children the same it’s hard to even find a bathroom at this hour and this sheer experience alone is enough to ensure that I will not be coming back to even scope the scene I’ll find somewhere else that has actual hooman beans whom are positive and not this negative atmosphere and to whoever wronged you sir I’m sorry and you didn’t deserve that and I love you still!

Super fun, friendly atmosphere with the most Amazing people, shows, and beautiful Goddesses!! Best club in TN!!

Sadly, Gay Bars/Clubs are almost a thing of the past. If you are looking for the local Gay hangout in Knoxville, Club XYZ is the place to be.

Went for a drag show and had a very fun night. The dance floor, music, and vibes were exactly what we were looking for. Some variety in performances.

So I have been here several times EONS and eons ago, and the last time I was here well... dont remember too much as things were a little foggy from all the shots and cocktails. heh. Its kind of small and when it gets crowded I kind of feel like a sardine in a can but its fun. Just most DEFINITELY bring a designated driver with you as things can go south if you dont. Lot of cops patrol up and down the street its on and heck. Thats just sound smart advice for anywhere you may go drinking at.

I will never be a part of this establishment ever again. They literally escorted me out like a felon,, because I used the “male” restroom….byeeeeI used the “male” restroom.

Club XYZ is a very homey place. I love the bartenders. Me and my partner call it our Cheers cause they are so friendly and know us by name. Once I walk through the door, our drinks are ready. Robert, Billy and Daniel are awesome. If you are from out of town you should definitely come out to Club XYZ. There is no judgement here at all. Everyone is welcome and everyone makes you feel that way. Club XYZ IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!

The bartenders use to be so upbeat and attentive, just seems like they hate their Job and just don’t care. Not one smile. They only thing bringing me back is the drinks are amazing and the drag show is fantastic. Something has to improve with customer service and being more attentive to guests. It’s been going on so long that people know to order 3 drinks so you don’t have to go back and wait 30 min for another one..

I went last night for the Dolly Parton drag show. I was charged a $10 cover just to be packed into a tiny bar like a factory farm animal. They allowed so many people in, literally no one could move. Their bartenders are generally lackadaisical on a slow night, so of course it was impossible to get a drink if you could even physically get to the bar. There is no possible way they could’ve been within fire code. They were just collecting as many cover charges as they could with ZERO care for their patrons. They should be fined by the fire Marshall. This place sucks. I will never go back.

I try to go here as many weekends as I can. The staff are amazing and this is a safe and inclusive environment for everyone. Drinks are not expensive and the bartenders work very hard for their money. The drag shows are fantastic too. It definitely makes you feel like you’re in a big city with lots of talent.

I hope there’s a better bartender because I’m not the one! so if I ever visit I better not have any problems!! But reading the reviews I don’t want to visit.: I always look at the lowest reviews first because the good ones don’t really matter!!

If zero stars were available I would give them. I walked in after trivia, the bar crowd was down to about 8 people. We sat at the bar right in the middle. The bar tender waited on the people next to us to the right then skipped over us and waited on the people next to us to the left. And then they went back to the first group of people to ask if they needed refills. This was over a course of about 15 to 20 minutes. The bar tender never once talked to us, said they would be with us in a minute, and even after we started to leave still did not talk to us. There was no acknowledgment from the bar tender we were there or needed anything though we were clearly sitting at the bar. I wish i could say this is a one off but it is always like this. If you aren’t a regular they aren’t friendly or in our case simply do not get served. Never going back.

This is the worst gay bar I have ever been into- perhaps bar overall.. The women’s bathrooms don’t lock, there’s a cockroach infestation (before 10PM), and the balding bartender would not wait anyone who wasn’t a male. So very disappointed

Appearances are not what they always seam. When there is a new face 🌚 or pattern is in the place make them feel welcome. Let them know what is going on. Not just serve them drinks and take the money. You suppose to be a loving and caring people and family, but I guess this okay to there are families like this too.

First time in and was VERY pleased. The staff made us feel welcome and came by periodically to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Will definitely be back. All of the girls gave a wonderful performance. Theres a lot of talent in this club.

Billy was an amazing bartender and he made the experience fantastic! Quick service and friendly with a great attitude and personality. All around amazing vibes and a lot of fun! Would 100% recommend!

I went to pay for the drinks I ordered, noticed the bill was Manhattan prices so I calmly asked about it — the bartender aggressively told me I had ordered a round of shots or that my “friends” had put it on my tab. I informed him I was new in town, and didn’t have said friends, and being sober I told him that never occurred. He proceeded to argue with me, but ultimately removed the shots, saying he himself had to pay for them, and subsequently “punishing me” by saying I was cut off. It was such a petty power move since I was clearly sober, and attempting to resolve the situation, assuring him it was OK to just charge me since I didn’t want him to have to pay for them. He was so prideful and rude, and started swearing, saying passively aggressive statements, despite my remaining kind and professional. Such a turn off. I’d much rather go to any bar in Knoxville and hope to meet progressive individuals than fund this rattrap..

I have been there 3 times now and have had a very pleasant time the staff was nice and polite and the atmosphere was excellent. It was not smoky at all as some say but the could have fixed that. I saw the show and loved it. It was a great show.

Daniel is the literal light of my life… any day I need a drink that man is there and has it ready👏🏼👏🏼 and don’t get me started on Billy he makes me feel so welcome all the time especially after a hard day at work I’m not tryna toot my horn but I think he likes me🤭🤭But that guy Robert OMFG HE JUST IS AMAZING👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 LOVE THIS PLACE THAT I CALL HOME❤️❤️❤️❤️

The vegan drag show was awesome and the bartender was good. The smoking inside was ridiculous! I will not go back for that reason. The edge is better and no-one smokes inside.

For my first experience here, it was... fair. I learned real quick that this is a dive bar. And one of the few LGBT friendly bars in the area. The staff is extremely friendly, even though it looked tough on the one bartender on a full Thursday night. I wonder if his help was on stage of the drag show going on.They use colored lights to barely luminate the building and patio so it is difficult to even see the label on your bottle. Or maybe that was the concentrated cigar/ette smoke. Both were bothersome.The bathroom is also difficult-- the womens side is turned into a private unisex, while the mens doesnt have a private toilet. No evidence that doors existed.

Me and my husband had a great time at the bar/dance club/drag show. Meet good people, had great cocktails, and had plenty of conversation. Will be coming back.

The bartender was extremely rude, and I will not be going back. The overwhelming smell of smoke is another reason to avoid this place. The Edge is a better gay bar.

Place is trash since the edge closed. Been a regular and know multiple staff members but they refuse to let me in due to maximin capacity. That’s bullshit; since when do they obey laws. Smoke wee don the porch all night long but that bitch at the front trynna get her side hustle on

This bar could be transformed if smoking inside was prohibited.UPDATE: smoking indoors is now prohibited along with a few other improvements. Good work!

Way to smokey.. the owner does not care that it is to smokey. The drag is ok. You cant get to the bar because it is so crowded. I waited 10mn to get waited on. Again the owner does not care so. Edge is better.

Have been here 5 times now. Fun club. Until tonight. Im told I cant enter because Im not 21. Yet Ive been in a total of 5 other times being 18. On Saturday nights and Friday nights. Hm. What happened tonight?

Great place.. Friendly staff and a awesome show.. Raz was unbelievably hilarious and all the performers were spectacular.. Went to another Bar in town first and what a mistake.. This place is the best in town... Cant wait to visit again!!

I went here and everyone was super friendly.. Only problem is there were no girls! Just goes to show nice guys never get the girl. Sad world we live in.

This isnt a gay bar, its a smokers bar. If you dont smoke cigarettes then theres no possible way you can stand to be in this place for more than one minute.
