Honestly spoke too soon with this place. Under staffed, inconsistent and just experienced the worse set I’ve ever had in my life. They took my appointment for my preferred tech only to tell me when I arrived that she was out of town. No integrity in their work and the owner was as unprepared as the staff. Still charged $45 - I do not recommend this place at all.

Do NOT waste your money at this place! We had a horrible experience, the techs acted as if we bothered them when we asked for service. I got a set and a toe polish change, my daughter got a full set. After about a week nails starting breaking off. You can see how thin the acrylic was put on. I have been getting full set with shellac going on 15 years and never experienced this. My toe polish change was even worse, most places shape your nails just a little bit, my tech did not. Most of my toes were half polished which I didn’t notice until I left. It was a very sloppy job. I will give them some credit they have lots of colors to choose from but that’s about all the credit they get. Over all I spent $175 for those 3 services, I should have just got a pedicure. Waste of money! The picture I added is showing how thin the acrylic is.

Theyre going through a remodel right now and maybe things will get better. Everyone was friendly and kind. But my pedicure was one of the worst Id ever had. The man who did my nails made them completely crooked, uneven, and left sharp edges.The overall pedicure was messy and when I asked him to please fix the condition my nails were in, he half hazardly ran an acrylic file over my toes but didnt make any improvement. The chairs werent clean and I saw a nail tech was drinking on the job. Not sure how much and its not my business but when youre clipping cuticles I feel its unprofessional and could leave someone hurt . I paid, I tipped, but I wont be back.

I have been there a couple of times and the place was definitely overpriced! This past time the color of my nails did not match! The man working on my nails used two different methods to paint them which made two different colors. I would definitely not recommend this place to a friend. I will not be going back!

I never leave bad reviews but this place is overpriced yet lacks quality and customer service. Quoted $30 over the phone for my daughter’s nails. Then charged $60…. I called to ask why and they said “our prices are what they are” and hung up. Her nails look like a kindergartner did them. Will never go there again!

This place is not it. I got acrylic powder almond shaped with no structure. My ring finger nail is pointed upwards, I feel like they will break here soon. The place is not sanitary. The technician was going to leave my hands covered in messy acrylic powder, I had to ask her to clean it up.

Ive been here a couple of times and those experiences were great. My last two visits have been such disappointments. My last visit I needed my shellac taken off. They started drilling, I asked if we could soak off with acetone (like the previous times Ive been) and the tech said ok just a little. I let him and when he continues and my nails started hurting because I have thin nails I asked if we could soak again. He said okay, he returned with another lady who practically scolded me you know thats how we take off shellac, its going to take forever otherwise I said I knew that, I had the time. My nails soaked and then another tech came, the rudest one they could find who didnt once talk to me and just handled me with the worst of attitudes.Today I decided to try again (Im crazy). Got a shellac pedi which was great. Tech was pleasant and attentive to detail. On to my hands and I got another tech.... the same one that scolded me last time, and of course she rushed through. Wouldnt even let my nails sit under the uv light till it timed out. I have streaked nails..looks like I did them. Unless you know them  or dont give a shit what your nails look like or the service you get..dont waste your time or money. So much for relaxing.ps check out the poor job picture I uploaded

The staff is so nice and made me feel like a million bucks!!! My nails look great and my feet are so soft!!! The nails are black dip and the toes are black gel polish, both dried instantly!!! They look like they are exactly the same!!!

I have never written a review before, but this warranted it. I went in to get a pedi and dip on my fingernails. I had an older gentleman. I got the basic pedi, and it stated you got pedi with hot towel, callus and message. I picked a color and the nail tech only put 2 coats and it was so uneven. So he restarted with another color. The polish was horribly done. I also did not get the message with lotion. He then took me over to do dip at the nail station. I walked over and the station he took me to was still dirty from the last client. He didn’t even get a new towel. He started to do dip (I don’t think he really knew how to do it) and he didn’t cover all of my nail in some parts, it looked like chiclets (they were sooooo thick). There were some places that the dip went over the edge of the nail onto my skin. I had him take it off. When he took them off, my nails were soooo thin after (I have not had my nails done in like 8 months). I then went to wash my hands and there was a cockroach in the sink. When I was checking out with the “manager” I told her what happened and she acted like she did not care at all. She even tried to overcharge me on the horrible pedicure. I told her I didn’t get my massage and all she said was “I’m sorry you had a horrible experience” I left after that. I have never had such horrible service in my life. Please steer clear of this place.

Horrible customer service!!! The tech left dry skin spots on feet and when asked if she could file down after she finished she looked at me and said she didnt have to. It wasnt her job. I assumed paying $40 for a Pedi was including that. Which it did say on the description. She was rude and entire time of doing my feet she made racial comments at least 3 times. Will never return or recommend again!! Honestly would rather give NO STARS

This was by far was the worst pedicure I’ve ever had. It was done in a hurry. I also did not enjoy my pedicure service as I was kept in an uncomfortable position to soak my shellac polish off for the entire pedicure. Then following the same man was set to do my nails. He was rough again and still in a hurry. Constantly threw my hands in acetone. Following this he used the drill to file off the leftovers and when I said it was hurting still continued. With cutting my cuticles he was rough and when I replied that he was hurting me still continued being rough. He lack details and I’ve very displeased with my service as well as being overcharged

My husband an I both received pedicures at the same time from the same man. This was the WORST pedi we both have ever had. The establishment wasnt very welcoming. Sign in was our greeting. No beverage was offered, not even water. After I picked out my service, the technician asked me 3 times if I wanted to upgrade to a gel pedicure. Each time I said no. He was overly persistent. The service was quick, rough and with little attention to detail. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! And neither does my husband!

We called ahead to get an appointment. The man who did my pedicure was hurrying and was rough on my feet. He didnt talk to me at all, and I was not offered a beverage, but when another customer came in, she was immediately greeted and given a beverage while she waited. I spent over $100, but I dont think I will be back. The manicurist who did my oldest daughters nail was kind and friendly.

$45, I had to go home and fix my own nails. Besides that I was cut twice & it took a while for the bleeding to stop. Never again will I come back here !! Im so disappointed, what a waste of money.

Terrible. every time i come here i have a horrible experience. off the bat they rush you and as you’re deciding what you want they keep trying to tell you what to do. i came in with only gel polish on one of my toes and as i’m getting my pedicure she asks if i want my callus removed, which i thought was apart of a pedicure so i reply yes with a chuckle and the woman goes it’s $5 extra…. what?!? and then tells me i can leave in the middle of my pedicure if i don’t want to pay for it… when i never argued just stated that it was weird. then proceeded to remove my callus. did a terrible job painting my toes. for thirty dollars you should be able to get the most basic pedicure, but i guess we’re not in dallas anymore folks. and right before she was finished someone came in and she rushed the entire job i was here for a total of 20 minutes. will never be coming back. work on your pricing and customer service.

Its not what it used to be. My mom and I went in for two pedicures and two manicures. The pedicures were great, as they always are. But when it came to the manicures, mine (natural+shellac) was rushed and done poorly and my moms (long powder acrylic) was done extremely slow and it was still done poorly. We used to love coming here but after this visit I dont think well be back. Its too much money to spend for the quality of work that was done.

Took my daughter to get her nails done and they didn’t do great at all for $50. Length was off and the width of the nail was way off for an 11-year old. They really didn’t do anything to make it right either except try and explain the cost. Wanted my daughter to enjoy the experience but even she said the guy pulled her wrist too hard.

Well this was one of the worst places I have gotten my nails done. The appearance seems very nice and the staff is friendly, but my nails were rushed and do not look good. I got a gel manicure and pedicure and I was out in less than an hour, which is great if the quality of nails was good but it wasn’t, and it has been less than 48 hours and my gel manicure, which is supposed to last 3 weeks, is already coming off. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Welcoming staff but will never go again I went in for a pedi and she sucked so bad at everything I think I was in that chair for like 15 mins she did everything super fast and she hurt me a couple of times. Not a good nail bar sorry it was the Worst pedi I have ever gotten paid $75 totally not worth it!

I scheduled the appointment a month prior and the owner told me come at 930 since it was going to be 8 of us but they dont show up till after 10 and its only 2 people doing everything for us and being rude to us since they felt pressured. Dont come here as a group they are rude! Manicure and pedicure for myself and my niece thats 5 a pedicure and charged me $160 was not satisfied with the outcome of my pedicure.

The staff is amazing, but the two stars is because my nails lasted 4 days. i was cleaning earlier and one just came off completely. and another one broke down the middle maybe 5 minutes prior. almost makes me not want to get my nails done at all again, especially here. thanks, but no thanks. also, dip on just your nails, with no fake tip, cost me 50 bucks!!! won’t be returning.

Excellent service and their work is quite good. I am not a fan of doing pedis but I have to say I have been here twice and enjoyed each visit. The location is prime, the interior airy, light, and most importantly - clean. The staff make sure you have a drink (if you choose to have one) at all times and their massage chairs are awesome. Thats just location.The actual pedicure is quite relaxing, the staff are friendly and work with you on what you want. Definitely recommend the green tea pedicure!

My daughter and I were the first people there and we were rushed and had poor service. I’ve been getting white tip shellac nails for years. He slapped nail polish on my nails, clear coat and done. When I addressed if this was what he called shellac nails he said yes. No machine or anything was used on me. Do not and will not ever go here again.

The place is nice, however, My nails lasted a whole week and all were broke. while at my other nail salon i made them list at least 6 months. $65 was down the drain. the main lady with braces was sweet the other People were rude.

This was the worst place I have EVER been to. I usually never leave bad reviews but this is a must. Typically I get my nails done at vintage salon, I get a shellac pedicure and a full set with shellac and it comes out to $85. Vintage was closed on the Tuesday I needed my nails done, so I decided to try Onyx. Worst decision!! I started by getting a pedicure with regular nail polish and the woman I had was just plain rude. Not to mention my pedicure was awful, nail polish looked like I did it at home by myself. I then got a full set with shellac and when I got home after my experience I noticed the the shellac on my nails wasn’t done all the way to my cuticles so 1 hour after getting them done, they already looked grown out. I paid $105 for the worst nails and for REGULAR nail polish on my toes. Really OVER PRICED FOR THE WORST QUALITY!! DO NOT GO HERE!!

Second time coming here, thought maybe the first time was just busy. The staff is friendly and its a nice environment but they’re in a rush. My nails are just okay. I got a pedicure and dip nails and was out in 45 min. My pedicure was rushed and basically I should’ve did it myself. The polish isnt smoothed. They gave me a bowl to soak of my nails and the technician asked me to rub the polish off my nails myself and still charged me $5 for removal. My nails arent even nor are they all the same shape. No one offered a beverage. I just feel for the money and the service you can go somewhere else spend less money and get way better quality and service.*UPDATE*Got nails done on 10/5..10/8 one of my nails broke. I didn’t have time to go all the way back so I went to another salon and they fixed it. 10/10 another nail broke. I went back to Onyx 10/11 asked them to redo my nails the lady said we will re-dip. She begins to speak to Henry who decides he wants to only redip the hand with the broken nail. I said no all of them. He re-dips them, some of he nails are lumpy but whatever. Its 10/12 and another nail broke. Don’t waist your time or money. I’ve been getting dip for 2 years now and I have NEVER had this many issues.

Went in yesterday for a fill and for the first time in the history of ever getting my nails done have I come across not one but two technicians that didn’t know A) what a fill was, and B) how to to do it. I tried to explain how to do it but they kept saying that I would have to get a full set because they couldn’t match the color I currently have. What?? I have been there many times before and have always had a great experience with wonderful people so a one time bad isn’t worth the 1 Star I really want to give. But it is doubtful that I will be going back. Highly shocked by the incompetence of the two nail techs there.

They seemed very rushed to finish my nails even when I was the only one in there, he was very rough the whole time and filed very harshly to where it hurt, badly. Drilled onto my skin to where it bled and if I flinched, he just looked at me annoyed, didnt bother to acknowledge me if I spoke to him, got more polish on my skin then my actual nails and I got a French tip, on the end I got charged $85. Wont ever return.

I went once to this place and it was decent. I decided to get my nails done again and went by at 7pm. Theyre opened until 8pm but the doors were locked. Finally after a while an employee came to the doors and told me they were closed. I left and drove back by to go to a different shop and they let a couple in. Not sure if she just didnt want to do my nails or what but 0/10 would not recommend. Terrible service.

Place was horrible. She didn’t do my nails the way I asked her to do them , and every time I said to fix something she had a problem doing it , then she would file my nails down more she would cut skin. I asked for Rose Gold Chrome and she gave me silver chrome , telling me it was “rose gold” then when I was like well I don’t want that color I want to change them she had more attitude. I will never get my nails done there again , especially for the amount I paid and walked out with out getting what I wanted.

1st time went helen did an amazing job on my nails. Took my 3 yr old daughter and had her nails painted polish was rubbed of even before we left. This time had a man do my nails and he drilled them down so thin I asked for a pearl he used the white I told him was the wrong color he said its ok it will be the base coat then used what I originally asked for they looked horrible. I told him I didnt like them and then a different lady came and asked if I wanted to change the color I told her no she kept asking until I finally told her a French manicure would be fine. Then she drilled everything the man had done off my nails my nails were so sore and hurt so bad. I went back in a little later to see if they could coat them a couple more times and was told next time to use a dip. NO I will not be back.

I got a dip manicure. Staff was Friendly and it seemed like they were trying but my nails are just bad. Not even across, they are very rough on top not smooth, had to put a couple of layers of my own clear coat on at home to try and smooth it out.

It was my first pedicure and it was amazing. I have the green tea selection on the menu, I highly recommend it! Soothing relaxing even during the pandemic I felt safe. The place was super nice and clean.

Love this place but Brian just told my mom she was not allowed to talk to me because it made her move. He was very very rude and ruined our experience. Getting our nails done is supposed to be fun and relaxing! It’s a shame because we have been long term clients.

The lady who did my nails was very nice, but they have a limited selection of gel polish. After 1 week, it is already lifting. Not worth the $50.

Extremely overpriced for the quality and service you receive. Nails were poorly shaped with very little effort, shellac was left around the skin by my fingernails, and low quality arm massage toward the end. Highly advise not to waste your money here.

I came in with a party of 4, two man and two women, the people there were on their phones while doing the “manicure” on one of the guys that were with me. Took less than 7 min on the rest of my party for regular manicures. I went to do my eyebrows and the lady took half of the bottom of my eyebrow off, they were not busy or had anything else going on. It is horrible to do that to customers on a Wednesday, overall horrible, I’m becer going back there again.

This is just not it. I do nothing recommend going to this place. First of all they were rushing me. The person who was doing my nails was very disrespectful towards me, agressive, and over all trying to tell me what nails I need to get.. seemed very unprofessional

The nail tech cut my wifes fingers and laughed about it. Left her nails different lengths, not uniform on size or straight. Acted as if they were put out rushing my wife to pick a color and charged a premium for the experience. This place is a waste of money and will continue to be unless they hire real tallent and skill while learning GOOD customer service skills. Even THAT would have helped calm things over.

I love onyx!! i’ve been going here since they opened and have never had a bad experience. always gives you a drink and are fun to talk to. no one here is rude and my nails are allllllways amazing!! i’ve had every color / shape and have always loved how they turn out

I went in with a broken dipped nail, very tender, & told my technician about it SEVERAL times and she continues to use a drill tool on that nail..well surprise surprise it RIPS up that nail and causes excruciating pain. I then get another younger technician full of attitude as if I was the one that caused the problem. Well. , because i was pressed for time i stay to get dip on my full set..2 days go by and a nail pops off...i go back today to give them a chance to repair it (but i honestly didnt want to set foot in there again) and they arent open...20 minutes after their hours say they should be. I try calling and no answer. This is the worst place in Lubbock. Dont waste your time, or money here.

I would not recommend. Such a RIP off 65$ for some crooked see through nails. That were suppose to be matte. They are uneven and they burn. NO REDUNDS LADIES. They were nice though watch out for them demons. I do however recommend First nails 1924 34th st. Lubbock TX, 79411 yw.

Friendly and professional. Color and nails last. Definitely recommend. If you can schedule appointment better but if not walk ins are welcome and may take a bit.....worth the wait!!

Triple world record holding worst, shortest, and most expensive before you blink manicure was a real treat including rapid fire clipping, uneven yet quick filing, and a delightful brief 12 nanosecond massage. Would recommend basically anywhere else.

Went yesterday to get my nails done. I do the dip. The guy couldnt do what I requested so I settled fo what he could do. My nails were so thin after the dip that this morning just putting on my shoes a nail broke. Very disappointed.

Staff was so rude. The man who works there insults and is too too pushy. Had the audacity to insult my pregnant friend. It might look like a comfortable atmosphere but its deceiving.

Excellent service! Beautiful facility, kind staff, great selection of polishes, gels, dips, etc. They were able to seat us immediately. Offer free drinks. Highly recommend!

I went here with my friend and after they just opened back up. The service wasn’t good. They didn’t clean their instruments. They didn’t wipe things down after people left . With COVID and everything I don’t want to get sick since they don’t want to sanitize. I won’t be going back.

I have been coming here for the past 6 months that I have lived in Lubbock. They are so kind and respectful and have rarely had a wait. Amazing team.

My nails was done on the 21st or the 23rd three and my nails were lifting I went in after work to show them they said I would need to go to the other location I get there they tell me their manager is on vacation and there’s nothing that they can do for me I need to go back to Onyx and return to onyx they tell me to come back on Thursday they try sending me back to the other location to see the other manager and tell me that they could fix them but they would be two different colors and tell them no that is not what I would like they send me back to Onyx and mind you I spent $75 on these nails I will never be back it is un professional how they are handling taking care of the mess that they made And I should just look to see when they had a 2.7 writing to know that this would not be in my best interest but now I know the worst customer service I have ever had

Ni is phenomenal! She’s been doing my nails for 7 months, and Ive been happy every time.

Got pedis a couple of weeks ago with my friend. False advertisement and over expensive for the service we got. Sadly I was very disappointed. Don’t recommend.
