The Office Grill and Sports Bar

A super friendly place with Tejano dance music. Food was surprisingly good and testy and priced right!!! I ordered blackened Salmon, it was cooked just perfect! Our server lady is very helpful and attentive.I was a little worried that No server wearing any mask except one lady, may be the manager, working at the bar.People were dancing, Drinking beer and having a great time.Stopped by last night, a Thursday night, it was almost full.

My partner and I were playing pool and a heavely intoxacaited worker that may or may not have been on the clock approached my partner and told him to finish his drink and leave because they were closed at 8:00pm?? Then proceeded to forcefully remove his drink. We then tried to respectfully leave and close our tab, while the other workers were trying to deescalate the situation so we could get out without any violence. As we were still in the process of leaving the manager was walking said worker outside so she could take him home.

I wish I could put no starts. A friend and I went here to play pool and were rudely approached by a worker who was off and intoxicated. He told us to leave and said they were closing. It was 8pm and another person had mentioned they had Michelob ultra cans for 50cents that night after 10pm. Not sure what the deal was but we just left. I wont be going back there again.

Stopped by after a movie tonight. Music was on point. Great service. Very busy, but staff was very attentive. Very clean place. Definitely will return.

Best food around! I usually play poker at Stacks next door and go to the Office during break to order food and tip the staff to bring it to Stacks for me. I’ve done this numerous times without issue. Last night, the front staff was rude and refused to let me order food. I openly admitted I was a minor (20) and just ordering food, not drinking. They still refused to let me in. I went back to Stacks, grabbed a menu for The Office and went back. I told the front staff my order and had cash in hand, and they still refused to serve me. After a bit more discussion, they finally marked my hand with an X and escorted me to the bar to order like I had suggested the first time. Like usual, the bar and kitchen staff was awesome and accommodating and brought my food to Stacks for me. However, the front staff was rude, unprofessional, and uncaring.

Professional staff from the entrance to the Bar. I received my food in a timely manner and I enjoyed my dish while still warm. It was a slow night Tuesday.... to which more people should know about the great specials on a weeknight to start off the long work week! Not A Bad spot to unwind early work week. The FOOD THOUGH KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! DELICIOUS 😋.. Go Early Leave Early.

They were friendly, food was good but they dont have dart boards anymore so had to play slots instead but will return again.

Terrible service. We saw a man almost attacked by JonJon an employee that was off the clock and drunk. Very unprofessional. Will not ever go back. Dont waste your time

Ya never know what can happen here. You might run into your ex and dance a cumbia or a two step. Cold drinks and great staff. Kelly runs a tight shift!

I went on 2/10/2023. The bar itself was fine, the music was good, the drinks were good, but the bartender kept my visa gift card. He swears he gave it back to me when I opened a tab, but I know he kept it (maybe on accident) because I asked my sister if they also kept her card when she opened a tab. She said they did not keep her card. Some bars do keep your card when you open a tab but the bartender informed me they do not do that and he gave me my card back. I did not get drunk or even buzzed at the bar, and I somehow managed to NOT lose the other cards I was carrying in my pocket. The only card missing was the visa gift card that I handed to the bar tender and was never returned. My job gave me that card as a thank you and I decided to treat myself to a night out. Just to be robbed of it.

I like this place. The $10 buckets are a great price and the food is good. Workers should wear a mask though. Otherwise, everything is good.

Were do I start. First let me just say that the bartender Jody was friendly. this was the best thing about this place. Next the food. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, could barely eat it do to being over salted. Second the beer and lime. The price on the beer was awesome $2 per beer, however I also got a lime with it, Dressed salt and lime $2.25. Thats right the lime cost me an extra $2.25, making the beer a total of $4.25. Now dont get me wrong, paying $4.25 a beer is the norm. Its just the way they did it. And for this reason I will not be going back.

This place is the most ghetto place you could possibly ask for in Lubbock , when it comes to them being busy they don’t know how to handle it , the bouncers are constantly drinking and on cocaine I would not trust it again and will never return ,Went through the front and paid a whole cover charge just to be kicked out because I “snuck in the back “ they were definitely high and drunk bouncers

Good food, latin music, popular bar. My only beef is that, there is a fat guy who frequents the bar. He threatened me and sped off in the car, based on the fact that there were people like me in that place.

Bought 2 beers came to 8.92 which was weird cuz usually beers are like 3.50/4 so where did the tax come from? Never been to a bar where they charge tax then I signed my receipt out a line thru tip cuz I tipped them $3 and then I get my credit card statement and they added a tip on there where I wrote in 8.92 and line through but still they made them a tip. Be careful and watch your statements

The Office is a good place to get loaded like a baked potato.... The music is mainly tejano, atleast when Ive went but they mix it up. Hoochies galore! Place stays packed until closed....... Im considering going tonight🤣🤷🏾‍♂️👍🏾

My friends and I went last night 6/24/22, and they were IGNORED and SCOFFED at by a bigger woman with tattoos that was bartending! It was absolutely ridiculous that they didn’t get any service till someone went to the OTHER side of the bar and requested a drink for my friend and she goes “your friend bought you a shot” but didn’t even give them service and had them stand there while she stared at them not even trying to help. Honestly the attitude and rudeness of this woman is ridiculous!!

Best bar in LubbockAwesome bands, usually $5 cover charge. Waived after 10pm. Huge dance floor. Good drinks. Friendly staff..Good time guaranteed..Open until 2:00am. 😈🖖✌✌❤❤❤😎💃💃💃🤘🤳🤴🤞🐾🌝🌋⚡

Ive been going to the office, off and on, for years. Their service has always been great. Their prices reasonable, and their food fantastic. It is definitely my go to when Im catching up with old friends. Personally I love the Ziggen drafts in ice cold mugs.

John Taffer needs to visit and come rescue this bar.

The food came out cold, but because I was hungry I still ate it. Big mistake, I paid for it the next day. Only there for a comedy show that evening otherwise Id be at home. The comedy show was great.

The Bar was ok. The DJ straight out sucked !!! Im sorry but DJ Scooby-Doo has to go. His mixing skills are in words he can understand WACK!! Sorry Office but that was my worst DJ experience ever

14 drafts on tap, 12 popular bears and 2 ciders. Large selection of liquor and mixed drinks. Over 20 screens playing sports, nice pool tables and live performances. Grill closes at 10pm. Only issues I had was my fries not being hot and food took about 5 min longer than it should have. Food was delicious for a bar. Menu has more than just burgers and appetizers, and are very reasonable for the quality of food. Mcdonalds prices for real food.

Let me just start with this, the night started out awesome with an awesome waitress. Through out the night a guy at our table and the waitress kept picking on each other (flirting or not, no clue) but clearly it was all for the fun of the night. Our waitress initiated the flipping off early on in the night and the guy we were with flipped right back (again, all fun and games). Halfway through the night another waitress, Im assuming the queen bee or head waitress, saw the guy at our table playfully flip off our waitress and proceeded to completely rip him a new one and threatened to throw us out because of it. She then went to the bouncers and pointed at our table to warn them. Maybe before your queen b**** of a waitress decides to chew out a paying customer she should look at the behavior of the employees below her first. We will never be back, nor will the people we were with. Actually, after we spread word of that little stunt most of our friends will avoid this place as well. Good riddance.

Food was great, our waitress was great. A fight broke out next to our table and in the chaos of trying to get out of the way, my friend was hit in the head with a beer bottle. The bouncer that finally showed up threw us out of the bar, into the cold, with an injured person, while all the people fighting (and continued to do so) remained inside for another 30 minutes. He would not stop to listen to us that we werent the parties fighting and just kept saying over and over I need yall out. My friends head was bleeding and he wouldnt even stop to let us tend to her. I was not drinking and 100% sober. I asked to speak to a manager because after we were outside, there was no attempt to call an EMT, we had to ask for one, and then they told us to get away from the front door. EMT never showed up, but LPD did? While telling us to get away from the door, they stopped and said their fighting again and went back over there. WE werent allowed back in the bar? WTH? The manager that came outside was 100% drunk and incapable of deciphering anything. INEXPERIENCED BOUNCERS/STAFF, & A SERIOUS INADEQUATE ABILITY TO DEAL WITH EMERGENT SITUATIONS. All of our drinks were spilled when our table was knocked over from the fight but you can be sure we were still charged for everyone single one. Not 1 person apologized for the way we were treated, or even offered to reimburse us for our drinks that were ruined more importantly our entire evening. Thank you to the citizens that were there that helped us; the paramedic who came out to look at my friend, and the gentlemen who finally removed the woman that assaulted my friend and continued fighting with others inside. Not 1 bouncer or staff removed any 1 of the people that were fighting. (except us) They casually walked out of the bar 30 min later with no worries. We wont be back and I dont recommend anyone going if you value your safety.

Great Service Devin did an awesome job behind the bar. Chicken Fried steak was homemade, jalepenos wrapped in bacon hit the spot. Beer was cold. Appreciate yall.

Charged my card for drinks I did not purchase. When I called to get it fixed..the guy just said that that happens sometimes and theres nothing I can do. That is not ok. Not to mention that we got no service that night and had to pay a cover charge for a crappy band. Would not recommend going here for a night out.

I met with some friends at this bar and at first was enjoying myself.I purchased two drinks and tipped well.I made small talk with those around me but apparently offended the bartender.Im not sure precisely which trigger word became misunderstood however the mood went south very fast. The bartender or bouncer at this time (Tuesday December 9th, 2014) requested me to leave. At first I thought he was making a weak attempt at dry humor. I replied that I preferred to stay. He further persisted I leave and that I was not allowed back. The lone faculty reassured his measure by making an aggressive stance and staunch glare.I was very embarrassed at being treated in this manner in the presence of my peers.I have NEVER witnessed such ignorance from a restaurant/bar staff before.I subsequently left the bar.I will not be returning to this bar even in the off chance that I am allowed. Also I plan on encouraging all of my past and future social network to not patron here.I specifically went out of my way to create this Google Account with hopes that people will read this.I concur with Lindsey and Nicole.In defense of the bartender I was intoxicated.

This place is clean,great music and the food is amazing!!Great patio for us smokers and plenty of t.v.s to watch every where you go in the place!!The employees are soo nice and very attentive to your needs!I love this place and their beautiful staff

This is probably the first bar Ive been to in Lubbock that had really great staff. Its a change when from the door guy to the bar tender are all happy and welcoming. They have great bands and singers come along regularly.

The security guys were very attentive. They came inside to get us when a friend tried to drive home drunk. Even though he was kicked out they were still making sure he made the right decision.

Way too many young kids in there. We went on a Friday night and its like the DJ catered to them the music was terrible. Will never go back

I was at The Office on the night of 10/14/2011 with a large group of girls for a bachelorette party. When walking toward the front area where the band was playing, a bouncer walking towards me in the same walk-way got in my face and demanded that I move in a direction I was not headed. I told him I was going this way and pointed to the direction I was trying to go which was not the direction he was trying to force me to go, and he told me I was moving where he told me to go or I could get out. He then said, better yet I need to go ahead and leave! He gave no explanation as to why I was expected to walk where he was demanding. While some of the girls in my party were drinking, I was not and was completely 100% sober. His rudeness and complete disrespect was completely uncalled for, as I was minding my own business, just walking the path from the restroom to the front. I ignored him and walked away, but someone needs to teach this guy to show some respect. I will not be spending my money in this establishment again, and the short blonde bouncer guy has himself to thank. Especially if this is the kind of guy the management chooses to hire to interact with paying customers.

First time eating here. Had relaxed atmosphere with a good mixture of music. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will return when I’m in the area again.

Drinks are strong and the food is tasty. The service is a bit slow but the waiter was friendly. It was a bit quiet for a sports bar when the cowboys were playing but that was ok too.

Was on A Sunday felt to me to be Latino night. There was 1 bartender that I saw, Bud Light was $4.00 when I got it price might be different. I hate to rate by stars was not there long enough to see a 5 star but I only there for 5-10 mins.

This was my go to place to watch football on Sundays my 4 years in Lubbock (2013-2017). All the games are always on and there is plenty of televisions. The food food was also pretty good and prices were relatively low.

Big place with plenty of TVS, golden tee, pool tables, and a big stage for live music or karaoke.The bartender was awesome, and very friendly. There is also a separate area for smoking.

A quiet place to drink and shoot some pool before a band plays. One thing thats weird is everyone leaves once the bands are done playing. The food is great!

Walked in and had to go to the bar and ask if anyone was waiting on tables the bartender told a girl sitting at the bar that there were newbies and needed service after that we got our drinks and ordered an appetizer waited about 30 minutes and noticed that the waitress was outside smoking cigarette she came back in sat down and started eating food in the corner at that point we decided to leave terrible service wont be going back

Had to go see as to the very high rating this sports bar and grill had , very clean and organized, the plenty of of TV around by the place, good outstanding, the bartender very polite.

Solid spot. Good drinks, good service, and some really solid bands. One of my favorite spots for country/red dirt/American folk type music.

The thin slices fries are pretty good. I had a mushroom burger. It was good as well. Nice evening.

We usually go here for lunch on Fridays for a nice cold beer and good food! & we get exactly that. The beer is always COLD and the food is alright. Wait staff is a hit and miss.

If you want to go hang out with the police department, they camp in the parking lot from 10-3... well at least the night I went... aka not my seen, I’d rather not go out then be harassed by the local cops that hang 25 feet from the entrance.

Staff was very kind in finding us some seating at a concert there.
