Ive been to a lot of concerts, and this venue has become my favorite. Ive seen two shows there in the last two months. They were both great! The Saloon brings in great talent, and does an amazing job with both big audiences and small ones. Theyve offered free water, so you feel like they care about their customers and arent just out to rob them. I live almost two hours away, but look forward to coming back in the future!
It’s not my first time being here but it is my first review. The staff here are truly amazing and so accommodating. It truly is a beautiful space to host live music events. Large enough to hold a big crowd but intimate enough to still be up close and personal. I truly enjoyed working in this space and hope to be back soon. FYI this venue is cashless so they cannot accept cash at the bar or for ticket sales.
I love the venue. Been to many shows there but.... On friday 7/26/2024 went to show there. There was two Bartenders. One male and one female. The female charged me 2x the cost for the same drink the male did. At first I thought it was a mistake but 2nd time going to her she charged 20$ for something the man was only charging 10$ for. Just worth mentioning as Ive gone to probably 15 concerts there over the years. I feel ripped off from my last experience.
Completely cashless. If you take out cash for local shows, dont go here. Drinks were overly expensive too. Rather spend my money at Crucible or dives like Mickeys.
First time at High Noon Saloon went here to see Steve N Seagulls and it was great its a nice intimate place it was full standing room only including the seats at the bar and tables and chairs in a small balcony area it was packed but there was still room if you wanted to get to the bar for another round which many did im sure as they have a great selection of adult beverages. In regards to the drinks which for us was a pepsi and 16oz. beer it was 11.61 which is a little pricey however for what we paid to see Steve N Seagulls and for the atmosphere I will not complain. I had read some comments about some employees not being friendly I found that not to be the case the 4 different ones that we had contact with were nothing but helpful and friendly. When they have someone else we want to see we will be back if you like an intimate setting to listen to some music and have an adult beverage and be with people its a great joint.
Attended a concert featuring Jennifer Knapp. Was wanded 360°, otherwise not searched since I only had a couple pocket items. Maybe security is tight here for a reason, but seemed excessive. The show felt a bit hurried, since another performer was taking the stage later that Monday night.Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience, and the attendees werent too rowdy or obnoxious. Tables and chairs seemed a bit tightly placed, but there may have been a reason for that.
Cool venue for a show. Feels like a mini Sylvee with the addition of tables upstairs that still have a decent view. Good acoustics and excellent drink menu. 5/5 recommend
I saw Reckless Kelly and Liars trial at the high noon, and though Ive been to the brink lounge multiple times (located below the high noon saloon), this was my first time catching live music there... and it certainly wont be the last!Beer is a bit pricey during showtime, but the bar offers liquor, draft beers, bottled beer, and is well run. Theres also cheaper, quality craft beers, available on the patio before doors open.Venue staff were very respectful and professional.Highly recommended.
A great little venue with style and character. The atmosphere for the few times i have gone is always welcoming and relaxed due to the layout and awesome team that work there. Great to see new music and up and coming bands, to meet them before they play bigger shows. The sound quality is great here, lighting could do with improvement and the floor is one level but thats just nit picking some things. The venue also has a small balcony with seating for those who like to watch things from above. There is no food available here but lots of places close by and a short walk from the capitol square. The only downside to the venue is it is now owned by ticket master a lot like other venues in the city, hopefully they will maintain the charm that this place offers and not make it industrial.Grab a friend, a drink and come watch a show here, play some arcade games or visit the other regular events here such as the black sheep market.
Ive been here many times with my son in law, and enjoyed all the shows. Including All Them Witches, King Buffalo, The Sword, Queensryche , and many others. We recently went to Black Joe Lewis which was awesome! They are very accommodating if you have health issues, like Parkinsons.
Love the venue, loved the band, Houses in Motion.Sold out show, everything was groovy. The decor could use a revamp though. Looking a little dated and well loved.
At a private event and it takes 45 minutes to get a single drink. Venue is cool, but service is absolutely terrible. Would not recommend this place ever. Go to Mondays or the Kollege Klub.
Nice venue, love the more intimate setting. We sat in the balcony and other than a few pushy spectators, we had an amazing time. Thank you!
Service outstanding. Food is meh. Parking a nightmare for full size pickup
A super fun place to see a show. If you like the act you wont be disappointed by the venue.
My first time at that High Noon last night. Saw the Melvins. Great vibe and great sound. Got there like 20 minutes before the show and had no problem getting a spot up close the stage. No pushing and shoving and squeezing to get a good spot. Very few cell phones out and just a cool chill crowd who wanted to see a show. You can tell the people who run the place want it to be a good music venue, and not a bar that just happens to have bands. Dale Crover walked right past me thru the crowd just like a normal dude. I geeked out a bit when he walked by. That doesn’t happen at big venues! Great place to see a show
Great venue, smaller yet big sound. Great people running it. Friendly security. Id recommend checking this place out.
Man. This bums me out to write and it’s not the review I would have left 5 years ago but the FPC Live-led enshittification of this place has really hit hard. I still think High Noon is one of the best venues in town - perfect size, cool space. But the metal detectors at the door, the heavily reduced seating including NONE at the bar, the Ticketmaster, the increasingly sad beer list - it’s just way less welcoming and the vibes are very different from the venue I loved when I moved here a decade ago. I wouldn’t tell anyone not to come here, but I would say if it’s been a while and you have fond memories to set your expectations accordingly.
This is a bit of a strange place. This is in the same building as 2 other bars. Kinda what makes it cool though as they can all three connect to an outside enclosed courtyard.I think they do music there too.The Noon is a place I have gone to see a lot of music. Its awesome looking in there. An upper lofted area give views of the stage and really the whole place. They have booze... so you know... good times.
I dont usually rate music venues because they can be entirely different by entertainment. Had a great time and met good people. Dont get me going on a staff. Amazing including the bar and the guys cleaning all night. Very impressed.
The entrance is around the back, could use a sign or two for easier locating. Rad little place, perfect venue for small shows! Friendly servers, fast service! They have coffee, NA beers, regular and drafts on tap, plus tons of others.
Great venue! Checked out The People Brothers Band this past weekend, and enjoyed the sold out show. It was an evening of good vibes and an awesome experience to be there for their album release. Cant wait to get back for another show 🍻
My friends and I went here after the Fete to see some more techno. We had an amazing time at the Fete and were in great spirits when we biked over to the High Noon in the pouring rain. That good vibe was completely ruined by the abusive, power tripping security staff at the door. They treated us like garbage. My friends small (like, within the size allowed in small) backpack with a bottle of water, a can of iced tea and feminine hygiene products was searched and she was rudely told she could not bring it in. We had to hide it behind the dumpster since it was during a thunderstorm and we were biking; there was nowhere inside we could stash it. I was frisked twice and one of them made a comment about how much I may or may not have had to drink--not your job, dude. After we went in against all better judgement the bartenders were ALSO rude, and refused to run us a tab for drinks. We left after less than an hour, so we paid 50$ for basically nothing (unless you include the manhandling and verbal abuse by door staff). I hear it is now run by Live Nation and they have lowered service standards into the sewers. This place is a dumpster fire. We will never go here again. If you dont want to be abused, repeatedly frisked by gross, abusive men and treated like a criminal, AVOID this joke of a venue at all costs.
The venue was cool, with cheap and accessible parking. The bands were great too. The sound however was awful. It was blown out and distorting the entire time. The sound guy was making the bass feedback on purpose during big moments, which lead to the entire audience covering their ears during the headliner. Most of us had earplugs in too, and it was still painful. It completely ruined an otherwise perfect show. Would not recommend. Please hire a new sound guy. Im available for the right price.
Concert space in special spot. Intimate music connections. Great musicians tonight.
Bar tender didn’t seem like he wanted to be there ruined the vibe , there’s barely anywhere to sit up front
Love this venue. A bit small but cozy. An excellent place to see local bands and events. No cash, cards only.
Beautiful facility, great venue for live entertainment. Top tier sound and lighting system, large dance floor, great views from balcony tables, friendly staff and generous pours from the well. Had a fantastic time there and will definitely be going back soon. Highly recommended.
This was my first time going here and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The venue size was perfect. The sound was great. There was easy access to get beverages and Matthew was awesome to work with to help me with some special accommodations.
Rad. Ive been in the area for a while now and finally got the chance to catch a show here when Protomartyr came to town. The space is a little cozy, but the sound is great; service is on point, and of course, because this is Madison, the cats here are friendly.Bring in some more bands like Protomartyr that are on that perfect cusp of being appreciated by people who love good music and just under-popular enough to avoid exploitation by the weird thing the music industry has become, and High Noon will easily rival the thousands of hours I spent at Rock & Roll Hotel when I lived in DC. ❤️
The show was amazing and I loved how we weren’t forced to leave right after; however, our bar experience wasn’t great. When we asked the male bartender for what we wanted, with a blank expression, he just says “no.” With no reasoning whatsoever. Then, after walking away from the bar, we could hear him making fun of my group to the other bartender. The next time we needed anything, we went to the female bartender, and she was nice. So, shoutout to her, but our first experience with him was just rude.
You stand and watch the concert unless you sit in the back or in the balcony. People push through you when standing but when people are older, its tolerable. One thing about night clubs now compared to 25 years ago is that you dont smell like cigarette smoke afterwards.
Staff was awesome, the bands were super entertaining.Lots of fun.
Saw great music, nice seats, good sound. Almost $5 for one soda is a bit much, I could have brought in a 12 pack! Overall, a really fun night with my friend.
I came to this place for a punk rock show. My girlfriend and I got kicked out because somebody told security that we were “pouring drinks on people.” Well, we had literally just ordered our drinks (they were still completely full, by the way), and security came and pulled us out of the crowd. When we explained that we had just gotten our drinks and had just pushed our way towards the front of the stage, they didn’t care. They still made us leave. I’m assuming that somebody was upset that we pushed our way to the front, so they lied to security to get us pulled. Yet, our drinks were full. But, we were “pouring” our drinks on people? Ridiculous. Once again, it was a punk rock show! Unbelievable. Strongly recommend staying away from this place. Oh yeah, we drove almost 4 hours to get there AND paid for a hotel, just to get kicked out 20 minutes after arrival.
What an amazing place to see upcoming artists! The pool hall in the same building serves amazing martinis and has a great selection of craft beers. I DEFINITELY recommend High Noon. Staff friendly and fun! Cheers
Long standing music venue born literally out of the ashes of legendary rock club OCayz Corral. Lots of touring and local acts most nights of the week. Decent sounding room with one of the best sound guys around. Mid size and can pack a decent crowd in. Unfortunately it was bought out by a corporate parent company several years ago. The vibe hasnt changed too much yet, but the drinks have gotten way over priced. And then they charge tax on top of it. Cashless bar and entrance feels strange and they have security with a metal detector even at tiny shows.
The sound was good it was pretty crowded in there so probably better for smaller acts. Decent beer selection and prices as expected but that short bartender dude needs to take a chill pill or find a different career path. He is completely rude.
Ive seen a couple of shows here and always happy about my experience. With the exception of behind the steel beams in the middle, not a real bad spot to to stand in the house. Bartenders are super speedy
I just want to leave this review here for my great friend and this exceptional venue. Its a safe place because the staff stands up for those in the community and they all do it for the joy of it. Anyone who says otherwise probably needs to just keep there comments to themselves.
I love this venue! Seeing bands in smaller club, up close and personal is one of my favorite things in life! High Noon is clean, has friendly staff and the patio is a bonus to hang outside. Parking is easy too!!!
Great drinks, perfect place for live shows. Love this place. We like getting there early and getting one of the dozen or so balcony tables. They let you bring in food from the Brass Ring next door. You can either get down in the action below, or chill and listen to the music up above. Its a great venue.
Be aware... Theyre card only no cash. I thought that was really strange for a place that is a music venue that appeals to younger folks. It kind of dampened our mood immediately on the place. We did enjoy a trivia night there. ThoughThe beer selection is not impressive at all, and the prices dont match other places in the area.
Who all remembers the Buy & Sell Shop? It was an amazing 3 store warehouse thrift store that had literally everything you could think of. I loved that place. I was very sad when it closed, and became not one but 3 venues-- the High Noon, the Brass Ring, and the Brink. The High Noon is the biggest of the venues, and it has a slight modern cowboy theme. However it caters to all styles of music-- hip hop, funk, blues, rock, etc. Its a mid size venue. Not a hole in the wall, not a big theatre. I imagine it seats about 500, and when I say seats, I mean stands, theres maybe about two dozen chairs, total, mostly in the balcony.Full bar, no food options, but the Brass Ring serves food next door. Sound system and lights are good. Overall a good venue to see a band play. As a musician who has played there, they have little or no options for load in or green room.Parking is limited to a few spaces in the lot and the street.
First time going here and it was great!!The place is really easy to find.Everyone that works there was very friendly. Its actually in the same building as The Brass Ring a very cool restaurant/bar. I will definitely go back again.
My wife and I held our wedding reception here, and we have nothing but glowing praise for this venue and staff. From the get-go, they were engaged, had great advice, and were communicative. Their in-house bar packages are GREAT, I strongly recommend using one! The lighting, the decor, the levels, and the sound were all superb - we had a live band for the reception and doing it here was a huge part of why our dance floor was never empty. The staff helped us out with places to stash things, and they even held on to a few items we forgot that night so we could grab them the next day. We really enjoyed working with these folks!
Cool place to see a show. Extremely intimate.
Such an awesome venue in Madison with a wide variety of artists and genres. Great place to discover new music or see one of your favorite artists in an intimate setting. The staff here is wonderful, venue is clean - looking forward to a lot of their upcoming shows!
I’ve been here on a few occasions for some shows. The staff is great and the prices for drinks are not outrageous at all. Very spacious place, makes for a great venue. The outdoor area is huge. I like it when a band I listen to plays in Madison, I love it when they play at high noon !!
Great venue for music but dont expect friendly bartenders.I was literally the ONLY one at the bar before a show started. Ordered a double Jack Fire which they didnt have so I purchased a different whiskey. $11 plus a $3 tip later... not even a thank you.Staff at the door was friendly.
Best vibes for grooving to some tunes... intimate yet can properly support larger acts as well. Perfect size venue. 5 stars as a music venue for room acoustics, also a great green room. Have to take a star off for service/drinks being inconsistent, if you order a mixed drink, most of the time they are way too strong where its undrinkable. Some of the bartenders are a bit rude consistently as well - been there over a hundred times- and the same ones give off the vibe they dont want to be there.
I absolutely enjoyed coming here for a concert! The drinks were reasonably priced. The staff on hand that I encountered were kind and helpful. The acoustics were excellent and the ladies room was pretty clean. I loved the patio, I loved the vibe! All in all, an excellent venue!
Nice little venue, was just here for the Eric Hutchinson concert which was great! As a really short person I was super happy to see seats 🤣 nice convenient area and very cool venue. I’ll be keeping my eye on it in case any more artists I like come by!
Great venue for live music. Large main floor space serves as both the bar and stage viewing area. There is also an upstairs balcony with seating that overlooks the main floor.Reasonably priced ($6 for a on tap pint) drinks and friendly and attentive staff.Even the bathrooms (at least the mens) were tidy and allowed you to maneuver around other guests.
High Noon Saloon is a solid venue. Tickets are always reasonable, and we’ve been to several enjoyable shows here. Drinks are reasonably priced, and there’s a nice variety of craft beers to choose from. Parking is alright; it can be a bit tricky trying to find somewhere in the neighborhood and Madison has the most specific parking signs to navigate, but it’s free so there’s that. The sound system seems to be good, and the venue is definitely more on the intimate side, size-wise. The balcony section up top is a nice option, but it’s fairly easy to see the stage, even from the back. A nice bonus – they sell ear plugs at the bar for $1!
Ticket prices are a bit steeper than necessary and I hate having to go though the evil Ticketmaster instead of the venue the way it used to be before the current owners took over, but the space itself is great and service always good. Great live music, good sound, nice patio option.
Great music venue in Madison with many acts of various genres playing here. The room is mainly for standing but there are unreserved seats available on the second floor balcony. There is also a shared patio that is a great hangout spot in the summer. The drinks are reasonably priced and the staff are great.
One of my favorite concert venues in town. Id probably see any show there, regardless of whether Id heard of the band. The space is decent, with tables on the main floor, a dance space in front of the stage, a couple pool tables behind, and a balcony with seating above.Glass Nickel Pizza sold by the slice is the only food option. Theyve got a good, if slightly small, tap beer selection and plenty of bottles and spirits. And, if you a change of scenery, there are two other great venues in the same building.
Cozy, local vibe. I love the pinball arcade games upstairs and the ability to watch a show from up there sitting at a table. The staff here are always friendly and helpful with any questions. They really look out for their patrons. If you can catch an artist here before they get big, its cool to have that experience and memory of seeing them in such an intimate setting.
Ive never had a bad time here. Acoustics are decent, Bartenders attentive. They really thought it out when the designed this place. I love how high the stage is. I also like they have a huge variety of bands that play here. Why pay $50+ to see a show in an arena and watch a jumbotron, when you can you can get the up-close feel and a great choice of drinks?
A wonderful venue for live music. Madison needs more of these small to mid size venues and High Noon fills that need. Very helpful staff, solid drink menu, and an upstairs seating area that adds the perfect amount of extra space. Ill be returning.
The High Noon is an excellent venue for its size. They consistently have great acts, and a solid selection of beers (both tap and bottle). The acoustics arent great, but venues in this medium size style never have great acoustics. Nonetheless, the sound is usually good especially given the limitations of the space.
Whomever was doing sound for the dada concert was awful.
Went to the store reading night and it was very well planned with good stories told by many. The cover was $15 each, and cash only but cards were accepted at the bar. Gotta say the drinks were a bit pricey though. For example, it was $6 for a Coors light or a Montucky beer or a white claw. I mean there is more of a selection than that but just to name a few. And other drinks were obviously more. I know its a bar but still high prices. The vibe was good though and really no pressure to buy alcohol if you dont want it. One thing we really hated was that it was freezing cold. Please turn the A/C so it doesnt feel like winter inside. Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration but still wayyy too cold.
A lot of respect to allow Madison Music Foundry to show, and support new young talent to the public. Also to give them a taste of what stage life is like. Great venue. I enjoyed it. For pro musicians you might want to check it out, and snag a up, and coming talent. I did! If I had the spots Id ve snagged a couple more.
Was here for a wedding reception, and it was great! The lighting is perfect, and I can really appreciate how far the old west aesthetics go. Drinks were great too! Parking was a bit tough, but thats kinda just the entire area.
A great venue! This place brings in some outstanding musicians and frequently holds unique fun events! A great selection of beers on tap too! They offer some limited table seating on the main floor and balcony.
Very popular place, fills up fast for popular events, youll need to show up early to get a seat. If you want to be able to talk to your seatmate, I recommend the balcony. Drink prices are reasonable. Their parking is shared with two other venues so youll probably have to park on the street and walk a bit, especially Friday & Saturday. Ive seen a lot of great bands here over the years, the High Noon is an iconic Madison institution.
This is a really comfortable place to see a show. It never gets too cramped and its pretty easy to find a place to see the stage well. They do a good job of booking interesting shows of all genres. Ive mostly been to rock shows, but theyre a lot of fun.
The High Noon Saloon was a great venue when Cathy owned it. Now that it has joined the FPC/Live Nation it has lost that local, cool vibe. Nonetheless, it is still a decent venue to catch a show. Its fairly easy to get a drink, move throughout the venue - take note of the pinball collection upstairs - and get in and out of the bathrooms. The sound is good and the vibe is warm. You can catch all types of acts including metal and world class DJs. Oh, and you can drink on the patio too. Its a much better place than the Majestic to see music in the Mad city.
We went to hear some live music and had a great experience. Friendly bartenders and reasonable prices. It is a big enough venue that you can always find a place to stand or sit. For big performances, there is also seating upstairs and some tables. A great place to go for live music.
Its Church of Cash tonight. There are literally 4 tables everyone else has to stand. I would much prefer to sit and enjoy the show. The balcony is closed not sure why but it seems pretty dumb given the age of the crowd.
Very good concert venue. I gave it a 3 because Bartender tells me AFTER I paid they didnt have the basic supplies for the drink so it tasted terrible.
By all means a nice bar with pretty regular selection of drinks available and everything that you would expect. The real draw for the High Noon Saloon though is that they have lots of really good live music. All different kinds of music regularly playing throughout the year with a whole bunch of good shows to go see. Definitely worth checking out.
I Saw Vetiver here on 3/9/10. The venue was great. The acoustics were decent. The sound staff was attentive. The beer and liquor selection was good. They had Henricks gin and spotted cow, which are both pluses in my book. The wait staff was quick and efficient. The place was clean and they promptly took away empty bottles and glasses. Overall a great atmosphere to see a quality show in. The balcony was a bonus on a already good time.
Probably my favorite live music venue! Ive seen the Melvins multiple times here, as well as 3Teeth most recently, pictured. Theres also a huge patio! If youre in Madison, definitely check this place out, even if its just for open mic or some random show! You wont regret it!
Got too drunk and was getting sick outside. A member of staff came to check on me, brought me water and a chair. My friends later joined me and the same staff member came back to make sure I knew the people that had joined me.Looking back, this could have been a bad time. Mad props for checking on your patrons and making sure they are safe and could continue to enjoy their night. Was amazing to know that good people are out there.
Really cool intimate venue. Ive seen a couple of hip hop and EDM acts here and its a really solid small club feel for those genres!
High Noon has plenty of room to dance backed by a great sound system. The people working make the experience better than your average music venue
Fun, safe, good sound, nice staff, good bands
Small venue (600?) but built for live music. Outdoor patio with small local bands before 7pm. Check the accurate website for current line up and future shows. Reasonable beer prices. Food around the corner at the Brass Ring (in the same building). Pinball games and clean bathrooms. Nuf said...
This place has a unique thing going on in that they have live music acts quite often. I usually shy away because the shows have cover charges, but thats to be expected. I always feel uncomfortable trying to figure out where to stand or sit. This is more of a beer and mixed rail drink type of place. Crowds always seem to be either older or the more heavy rock (AKA typically all dudes) type.
Great venue with varied artists... long rectangular layout so you can get up close or hang out in the balcony at the back away from the crowds. They also have a huge smoking patio outside to cool off or smoke. :(
Good music venue serving the more underground style music scenes - reminiscent of the old Okayz. A variety of good local and touring bands and great sound with a clean atmosphere and nice patio. Only 4 stars because of their annoying political benefits.
Went to see Bit Brigade -- show was amazing. Good venue, but great act to bring in. Book them again!
Do not support this place! No matter what. Even if your favorite musician is playing. They are a cashless business. That is a very slippery slope that leads to full on communism.
Best music and staff in town here. Yes, amplified music is loud. No, you cant always find a place to sit if you come late. Those things are normal for any venue, it doesnt warrant giving them a bad rating.
This place totally rocks as a performance venue, bar and neighborhood asset. They were very diligent but respectful about keeping everyone safe regarding covid and bringing in anything that could be harmful to others. Highly recommended!
Had a blast at this beautiful venue! Great for bands and edm events. Plenty of parking near by. Sound was on point and drinks were inexpensive :)
Staff is great, and they have some good shows. Acoustics could be better. Drinks are tad expensive. Parking is mostly street parking in the neighborhood..Only a problem if you dont like a bit of a walk.
Any place that Karina Rykman plays at is at the top of my book! Plus...I lived in Madison from 65-75
Easily the best place to see live music in Madison. It can get a bit uncomfortable for sold out shows, but what venue isnt? The staff is superb, and I enjoy meeting friends for happy hour here, too.
Decent venue with good drink choices, but parking is unclear. I recommend parking on the street because parking in the lots nearby is minimal to none, and isnt clear whether the reserved parking is meant for the venue. Similarly the lot at the printing store clearly will tow.
Theres a huge pillar in the middle of the floor. Hurts stage visibility for anyone standing behind it. Really helps the feeling of this being an authenticly rockin venue. Drinks are priced right. Parking is rough, especially as the area grows. Seen a lot of good shows here. And a few not-shows. Lots of stuff going on here.
We were there for Herlarious last night. The club music was very loud and not appropriate for the crowd. The bartender was rude af to my gf. We were trying to use one VIP drink ticket and pay for the other drink, so that we could get change to tip her. She seemed really annoyed by that and didn’t even say thanks. She was new too, so I can’t imagine how she will treat people in 6 months. I also watched another party express dissatisfaction with the bartender. The show on the other hand, was great!
My favorite venue for live music in Madison. They actually get some pretty big acts, and the double bar thing is awesome. Its easy to grab a beer and not miss anything in the show
The best place to see a show in Madison, hands down. Sure the Sylvee is cool, but can you see the band 5ft away from you and then talk to them after the show? Here, you can.
One of my all time favorite show venues in Madison. Frank Productions/Live Baton Nation have done very very little to change it and thats a very good thing. It still feels like home.
Great place for a decent drink and a great concert experience. Usually have to pay for admissions in if concert happening, but not too pricey. Great concert options- from local gigs to very popular bands from around the world.
Went for the Last Crack album release party. Great venue with lots of space for people, the stage is a bit small. Large outdoor seating space for smoking/hanging out.
Great time. Excellent bands. Very worthy cause, Taz Bash, for UW Tissue Organ Donation and Research. Also, thanks to the front door people checking for vac cards prior to entry.
Great place, had a great time, though the bands we went to see had their sets way too loud for that size of a venue.Insomnium was great and the bar left a good impression which will definitely lead me to visiting again.
Thank you High Noon for booking Adam Ezra Group. Perfect set up for an incredible band. Just needed the door opened a little earlier. Will be back.
Our favorite venue in Madison! Right around the corner from the only hotel we stay with, (Hotel Ruby Marie, check it out). Some of our favorite acts of all time have been here, great place!
The live performance by Marcus Porter was amazing. Great building. It is connected to the Brink Lounge parking lot
Great venue, but no cash accepted, except for tips isnt my favorite...
A bar with a bouncer that refuses covid cards that have worked at literally EVERYWHERE else. Meanwhile, hes using a Crown Royal bag as a mask. Maybe the bar itself is nice, but I guess Ill never know, due to this champion of reasonable enforcement.
Great space for a little larger events. Still has a cozy feel. Still alot of the staff from the original owner and it keeps the old school Madison vibe alive and well. Usually 10 or 15 bucks to see a show which is reasonable for these times . If it was anymore less people will show up and less sells on beer and alcohol. Cant afford to go to a show very often these days but if someone I gotta see this is a easy and safe place to be. Plenty of roon to get some air and has the big city feeling with the Industrial skyline. I would be very carful walking around the bike paths and side streets but the venue itself is safe and clean. Great rock~ n ~rolla cluball in all♡
Cool place with a hipster atmosphere. Lots of choices of beer, and music is pretty good. Cover charge is a bit pricey for shows that take a while to start, but otherwise a good time.
Stopped in after a show. Standing room only, but not crowded. Drinks are reasonable and staff is friendly
Patio concert had great sound, Great band and terrific energy. Excellent selection of beers and while I didnt order any food, many people did. Very good wait staff.
This venue is so intimate. I will never forget setting Watsky and Scarypoolparty there. Love love love love love this venue and madison music scene
Awesome concert venue with a great space to stand or sit and watch the band. Good drink selection, too. Well be definitely be back for another show.
Good sound and generally good bands stopping by. Nice, large, open space. Drinks pricey. Business is newly under iHeartMedia control, who bring ceaseless, tacky advertising on all social media platforms.
Nice place.Good selection of drinks.Went for some live music. No cover charge, a lot of people there but still plenty of room. It was a great time with some friends.
Nice cashless venue! A bit difficult to find as the entrance is not set on a road directly, and the drinks were semi expensive. But all in all really cool venue!
I’ve been coming to the High Noon for close to 15 years. Absolutely loved it when they had Friday Happyoke every other week! Now, that only happens a few times a year, but have been coming to more music events here. I meant to give four stars as a few changes due to ownership change. Friday Happy Hour, from 4:00 to 6:00, used to be BOGO. That is now just 1.00 off a drink. Love the early shows, wish there were more that started earlier.
A little hard to find if you have no clue where youre going but once found its a treasure! Great outdoor patio space, inside atmosphere was awesome, and the bartenders were phenomenal!
An awesome place to see a show. Ive attended many concerts in this room. Theres something about this place that seems to inspire the artists to make it a special performance.
Great sound quality , nice open space with balcony view as well, staff has always been nice.. plus good bar selection. My favorite local venue for music !
This is a beautiful venue and one of my favorites in Madison. Acoustics are great, lyrics tend to be crystal clear. They also have great beer.
If you enjoy billiards, this place has a dozen nice looking tables as well as a nice bar. The menu is limited and service was slow. Prices were well in-line and things seemed relatively clean.
Saw Chris Fleming here (hes hilarious btw check out his YouTube channel), it was a bit smaller than i thought it would be. Kinda looks like a crappy warehouse from the outside, entrance was hard to find, and the parking is kinda limited. Liked the vibes, the drink selection, and the bartenders were very nice tho
The AUDACITY of the bouncer to criticize nearly full vaccination and then get caught red-handed with no mask, smoking a cig, and looking like he ain’t had a shower in a week. Absolutely insane. Never go to this venue. Try the Sylvee instead, maybe they will practice what they preach. Never coming back.
Great venue for a show. Have seen several here and enjoy the Natty nation show Thanksgiving weekend the past three years. Great atmosphere and drinks.
This was a pretty cool place to go to see some small bands play and get a drink. If there are more interesting bands showing, Ill definitely come back. Its nice hearing some new sounds.
Super great place to go for concerts. Bars on both sides, and a water cooler for people to get free water. Super awesome.
The bouncer named Blake refused to allow me in with a bag that only contained my wallet and my tampons. I allowed him to inspect my bag and clarified that he would not allow me in with my bag that only had a wallet and tampons and he refused. So I guess if youre menstruating, dont go cause youre not allowed.
Amazing speaker system and great place to go for rock concerts! I love the smaller size as your in the concert, not just watching it.
One of the best venues in Madison, even if the standing/seating areas are a little less than ideal.
I thought this venue was great! Everything you could want for a show, with amazing sound and great lightening. All of the staff are super fun also!
Good food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and make you feel at home.
Great venue, great acoustics, and a relaxing atmosphere. The variety of events they host here is staggering. Truly a testament to how diverse and wonderful Madison is.
I went to Madison 12-2-2021 to hear Bad Bad Hats at the High Noon Salon, and security was top notch. While in line they turned away someone who forgot their Vax Card, and they were checking photo IDs against the Vax Cards. Then, it was a frisk with a metal detector. Mask compliance inside was way better than any of the other events I have been at during the pandemic. I felt as safe as possible. The acoustics were very good, and Bad Bad Hats were even better than the first 2 times I have seen them this year. If you have not heard them, you are missing some very original and talented Indie Rock!
We are part of a larger group that love Gomeroke. Singing with a live band! This used to be twice a month on Fridays. It is now once a month on a Saturday. Check their facebook page. Great beers and sound system.
The only reason this hole is receiving two star is the love for the performers that were there. Lets start off with, ONE- it took over a half hour to get into the bar and once in the door guy was an ass, getting frustrated with the list. I mean come on, have ways to print off the tickets or have a code we can have on our phones. TWO- the venue was very big and the sound system made it hard to understand the words of the songs. Thank goodness I had my ear plugs. THREE- is it really that hard to be conscious of the people around you?... almost was elbowed in the face numerous times...FOUR- started the concert before everyone was even in the door yet, we were still outside when the first band started. All in all, wont be back.
Nice friendly place. Good acoustics. Had an issue with some patrons who insisted on standing in the front row talking at the tops of their lungs over several songs.
Awesome small venue. Good sound from wherever you are in venue. Definitely could use canned soda for folks. Not a big fan of city soda water. Not uncommon in the cities
Great live music venue as well as a great place to host events
Wonderful little place with a cool vibe, great live music and drinks.
Nice venue, decent size, clean bathroom. Parking is limited so be prepared to walk.
Great sound, cool vibe… maybe throw some more signage on the building though?! Froze my butt off arriving on foot! The entrance is tucked way around the back.
Gorgeous rustic bar, serves good NA beer, sweet lil intimate stage n a lovely accessible ladies room!!!! I WILL BE BACK! All these little things made seeing one of my favorite bands, Reckless Kelly, a TOTAL JOY!!!! Hubby-pancreatits-cant drink, they serve Clausthauler; Im short-no problem! Saw the Band up close and personal! (I still have nightmares about the smartbar in chicago,) High Noon was a TOTAL CLASS ACT! Clean, stocked, beautiful!!!!!!!
Great music venue. Has a wide selection of bottled beer and a narrow selection of tap beer.
This place holds SO much nostalgia, Ive performed here multiple times and its always such a fun and welcoming environment. The food is great and the staff are friendly and the shows are fun.
Its pretty big inside, with good space to mosh. Need to get more punk bands in.
Well, you have to like extremely loud music. The man at the door wears ear-plugs. He told me that u can get ear-plugs at the bar if u ask for them. Or bring your own ear plugs. I do to all music venues
The best saloon in town!!! Went to a concert here and will be back for many more the space is great and very clean. I will be back for sure in the near future!!!
Good venue for live music. Clean and fairly chill. Be ready to screen for weapons or pocket knives.
Great concert venue. Not a bad view in the house. Beer selection was good and having mead on tap sealed the deal!
Bar service could greatly improve. Cant say much for the food but my friends seem to like it. We enjoy Wednesday trivia enough to make up for the short comings.
Best medium-size concert venue in Madison. Drinks are very reasonably priced, atmosphere is great, and crowd is friendly.
They had 5 non alcoholic beverages that I noted! So good!!
