We had 4 lessons with Rose and she was able to teach us a simple routine for our wedding in a matter of weeks. Always super patient and encouraging.

Whether you are a beginner or an advanced dancer, you will enjoy the fun, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Rose, is an amazing and very patient intructor with all newcomers. Its a great way to meet other fellow dancers as well.

Rose is one of the best instructors in the region. She has the patience of a saint and is always willing to spend extra time with students who need the extra attention. Roses work with more advanced students is second to none.The dance parties on the weekends are a blast and are a great way to meet new people in the area.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👍👍I am a very beginner taking private dance lessons at The Ballroom and Latin Dance Club for a few months now. My instructor Rose is a very professional and competent teacher. I have been to other places and Rose really takes the time to make sure you understand the dance moves and how to make it happen. The cost for private instruction is very competitive compared to the more expensive and I would say overpriced places in other parts of the cities. The weekly and weekend events always have ample attendees which makes it fun for everyone. The other people who come are also very good people to be around and for dance and having fun with. Sometimes we go out for dinner on Saturday nights and hit a place that has a band and dance floor which makes the experience so much more rewarding.

Coming from Cook county IL where (in my social circle) male dancing is very uncool, I’ve truly spread my wings and was able to show some of my true colors coming to this spot. One of my younger sisters wanted me to join her for her first time ballroom dancing. I said “sure.”then the pandemic hit and, well no more social dancing. This sibling then moved out of town. Then July of 2021 I was in need of a better social life… I also needed a real goal. So, I made it a goal of mine to take up ballroom dancing for a year.It was one of those goals that I thought would be difficult, But the people that make this place up made it one of the easiest one-year goals anyone can make.The first three months, is where you get to learn a lot of the foundation. If you continually show up and are willing to learn for those first three months, you as well as all the other dancers you dance with will notice your progress.It’s very helpful that the expert dancers are willing to not only have private lessons, but also will dance with you and help you become a better dancer for free during the Saturday night dance parties. (You pay the $15 for Roses instructing for an hour)There are some in their 20s like myself but, in ballroom dancing it’s more rare to find others starting to pick it up at this age. Usually the average age is 50+ on a normal Saturday night.Rose, is an amazing instructor(she’s the main one at the ballroom dance club) and won’t steer you wrong. She’s extremely well versed in Ballroom dance and offers the cheapest private instructing in the area of if you take it with a partner. (Price cut in half)Each Saturday night lesson is full of constant education while it being light enough to laugh together and then come back to what we are practicing.Like any institution, there are the regulars, like myself, but each week there are always 100% beginners. You won’t feel like an odd man out because you know nothing or little to nothing about ballroom dancing.Come try it out for a night, have an interesting date night, or be like me and make it your goal to spend a year in ballroom dancing.
