I went for a hair cut, please note other times going to this salon have been successful. Last Friday I went for a hair cut and the stylist cut off four inches of hair to give me a mid length bob. She then proceeded to curl and style and I thought she was just being nice. Come to find out after I washed and dried my hair that it was choppy and I’m even. Now I have to go to another salon ti fix this mess. Worst experience ever. I will never go back and will not recommend to anyone.Worst part is I have been growing my hair out for the past year and now I have to go even shorter to fix the mess that Cherie made. Do not trust your hair with her.Update: 4/11 the manager has reached out to provide solutions to the issue. The manager was prompt and professional and understanding. I appreciate her time and feedback and resolution. I have changed the review from a 1 for the hair cut to a 3 due to the management reply.

What an amazing and welcoming atmosphere. It truly helps you relax and be yourself. I received a facial from Ashley whom was so kind and explained everything in great detail. The owner and ladies were full of joy and laughing - great to be in a positive environment. I had some amazing conversations! Service was amazing - I will be back here for years to come.

Tl;dr the customer service was good but the actual manicure was terrible.Ok so unfortunately I didnt have the best experience. I went to get my nails done for a little gift to myself for working so hard over the holidays. I went in and the customer service at the front desk was great. The lady who did my nails wanted to chat the whole time. I dont mind a bit of polite small talk but I mean the entire session she talked. Whatever, some people are just chatty I just sat and listened and tired to be friendly. When I got out of the chair she helped me grab my wallet out of my bag and helped with my coat. When I got out into the bright winter sunlight I could see that my nails didnt actually look good. The polish is thin on some nails, see pinky, and in some place and the top coat doesnt go all the way to the cuticle, see thumb. I just expected better and was sorely disappointed. I dont think Ill be going back.

I had cut my own hair and came to this salon to get it even out. The stylist and I misunderstood each other, and she took an additional 3 inches off my hair. She suggested an inverted cut would look nice - which I’ve had before so I agreed. To me it’s more stacked in the back and was so sort back there she had to use clippers on my neck. I was mortified but paid and left the salon to think about next steps. The hair cut was so awful to me that cried every time I looked in the mirror for a week. I wanted to shave my head. I contacted the salon about this. A lady called and spoke to me, asked me to send pictures (I did) and then never heard back from them. I’m living on a budget and paying $80 for just a hair cut that I hate more than any hair cut I’ve ever had in my life, and then never being offered a solution from the salon is really disappointing. Don’t go here, and if you do, make sure you’re really explicit in your request. Asking to have the length “evened out” because you like it does not mean cut off three more inches. You also don’t need to cut it up to the hair line in the back and stack it to make an inverted cut. My hair was shoulder length and barely touched my ear lobes when I left. It was also super unflattering for my face shape. The stylist told me it’d be super easy to care for - it’s more work in the morning than I’ve had in years. She clearly didn’t take time to understand what my hair type was.

They were able to fit me in at the very last minute and did a WONDERFUL job on my hair. Listened to everything I wanted and I was able to see the results in my haircut. The environment is great and very reasonably priced as well:) I totally recommend!

Wow! My facial with Amelia was a little piece of heaven! Great customer service, she made me feel so comfortable and the treatment was so relaxing. Highly recommend everyone goes and gets a facial or any other service from Amelia!

Ron cut my hair and I absolutely love it! I wasn’t sure of what I wanted but he gave me different options and made me feel so comfortable! He also offered me water and coffee!! Thank you Ron!

Tammy is my stylist. Shes been doing my hair for several years now. I get a color twice a year and a cut every 9 weeks. She makes me look and feel great.

I came to Riverstone first for a massage then came back the next week for my first haircut in six months. Mary gave an amazing massage. She used a few different techniques and paid more attention to my back per my request which made for a really great experience. I left feeling so relaxed and refreshed.My haircut was done by Ben, who was also wonderful. I told him a loose idea of what I was looking for, and he gave a great consultation based on my hair. I could tell he was really talented and experienced, and I felt pampered the whole time. My hair looked incredible afterward. If I was a celebrity I would hire him as my personal stylist.Also, I felt very safe the whole time. Theyre taking great precautions (screening questions, temperature checks, plexiglass at the receptionist desk, didnt sit right next to anyone at any point, etc.) and everyone there seems to take those precautions seriously.

Haven’t gotten a haircut in years and Cherie listened to all my concerns and followed the example pictures I had perfectly. Would highly recommend her!

I can consistently get a good, short haircut here from Brooke. She does a nice job and is willing to change things up during the cut if needed.The desk staff are always very friendly and offer each customer a beverage as they enter. Its a nice treat and a simple way to make this salon stand out a bit. They also have a decent candy selection in the desk treat bowl to say thanks as you leave.I started going here because its in the neighborhood, but the service and haircuts keep me coming back.

Request Ben for any hair needs! I picked this salon at random for a hair appointment because it was on my way to work and the reviews are great. I haven’t had a professional hair cut in years and Ben did a fantastic job! I had my hair cut short and he worked with me to make sure that the hair framed my face nicely. He also made sure that I was super sure of wanting really short hair because some people just really want an inch off but I didn’t. He also gave me advice on how to maintain the style he did for me after the cut and for maintaining the length (ie. when to come in for a trim). I think I found my forever hair salon and hair stylist. For Ben: hope you passed your exams (and hope you stay at this location for a long time)! :)

Took my teen son here. His hair is thick and curly and not easy to work with. He was very happy with the cut/style Luis gave him. Prices were reasonable, salon looked clean and well appointed, appointment booking went smoothly, and reception staff was friendly.

I go here to get my hair foiled and cut!! Have been coming here for a few years!! They are Awesome and really listen to what I want!! Friendly Staff,Beautiful Salon!! They offer various other services as well!! Nice getaway to pamper yourself!!

I get my hair cut by Brooke, and she always does a great job! Myself and my wedding party recently had our hair, makeup, and nails done for my wedding, and it was a great experience. The owner, Heather, even had the salon open early so we could be ready in time for our noon wedding. I highly recommend them for wedding services and haircuts!

Hannah was incredible. She asked so many questions and took the time to figure out what I really wanted done to my hair. Love my end result. The color on my hair looks the best it ever has!

I had my first ever Essential Facial and skin consultation.Caroline was fantastic, explaining every step of the process, and I appreciated how she broke down a list for me to follow to help me with my problems with dry skin and dark circles.I feel like she truly understood my needs and wants, and I’ve already set up my next one for a month out to see how the treatments change my skin for the better!

I love my new haircut (thanks, Kara!). She is very skilled and really kind, too (e.g., she patiently gave a curling iron tutorial). I’m grateful for this neighborhood gem. I recently took my toddler for her first haircut at Riverstone & it was all smooth sailing.

I was expecting Riverstone to be a more upscale salon/spa. My experience was very disappointing. The stylist was sweet but I felt I overpaid for a real lousy pedicure - it was just a foot soak and getting my nails painted... I was told one of my services had to be cancelled because I was late. I was late, however I tried calling to let them know I was stuck in some crazy traffic, but no one picked up the phone. I was hoping for a nice relaxing experience and it was all tainted because I was late and could not get all the services I scheduled. I felt like the stylist was more concerned about her time spent rather than the quality of the service she gave me. I felt more stressed than pampered in any way.

Hannah Nash did amazing highlights on my hair. She did “baby lights” so it grows out really naturally. Along with a haircut, I’ve gotten so many compliments. Won’t go anywhere else!

I love getting my hair cut here. Tamie is some kind of hair wizard. Not only does my hair look great when I leave the salon, but it looks great the next day and still great (although different) a few weeks after that! Also, I like the calm atmosphere.

I went for a facial and a back facial with Chila and I love going! The front desk is welcoming, and Chila was so sweet and created a calm and relaxing environment for the facials! She is very detailed and really takes time to figure out exactly what I need for my skin!If you need a great esthetician- see Chila!

Changing my review, heres the original:Wow! Someone who actually knows how to cut curly hair! Yippee! Very big deal!New review: my stylist left! Heartbreak 💔. So far no one here can cut fine curls. In desperate need of qualified stylists, this place isnt it. Giving it one more try and will keep you posted.

I bike commute and am an athletic trainer and coach. So Im pretty minimal when it comes to my hair needs and I dont style my hair. I still appreciate a good haircut and relaxing service yet that happens so rarely for me. Most salons cant seem to wrap their minds around my lifestyle. I get a hard sell on products I dont want, advice I wont use, and then its like Im hurting them by putting on my bike helmet to leave. Riverstone was a refreshing non-judgemental experience. I enjoyed looking at the We Are the Arctic coffee table book while waiting. It was much better than looking at either my phone or fashion magazines. The stylist Kirstie provided exactly what I was looking for and didnt try to sell me on products or doing something different with my hair. Ill be back and hope the service will be consistent.

I had a massage there tonight and it was Amazing! I highly recommend this place. It was so calm and peaceful and the massage was so relaxing. You get a full body massage in an hour for a great value! Can’t wait to go back!

I booked a color consultation today (12.16.17) with Jackie, fully intending to make a huge color change and spend a large amount of money. After my experience I will be taking my business elsewhere. I sat in the waiting area for 25mins in the dark about what was going on with my appt. Finally I asked and they said she was running behind. I watched Jackie clean up her station and vanish into the back area never to return. I waited another 5 mins and left. How long are you supposed to wait for a 15 min long appointment?! What a joke! Ill take my hundreds of dollars to a salon that treats their guests with respect!

Its a Great place to go get a pedicure/ manicure/ body massage or a facial. Or maybe you just want to go get pampered and bring a friend. And they do really nice hair cuts to. Youll be blown away by the hairstyles and colors they do

I used to see LJ but she has since left. I saw a guy she referred me to. I requested a trim and a few layers because Im trying to grow my hair out (I said this). In the course of 10 minutes he quickly hacked about 1.5 inches off of my hair. I can barely put it up anymore whereas I used to be able to put it up in a high bun. Sorry, but youve lost my business. Consistency is key. Monitor your service.

One of the best deep tissue massages Ive had in awhile. Pedicure and manicure were great too. Very friendly professional staff.

Friendly staff, always a great haircut. Shampoo chairs are a little uncomfortable, and serving water in a glass with an open top in a salon with hair flying around is a little meh. But overall a great salon!

I LOVE this place. Had my first appointment today with Hannah to fix a botched cut. She took her time correcting each and every part and styled me so well. I left feeling amazing

Been a few times. definitely be very specific about what you want. I mean VERY specific. I have had good outcomes and not so good, but it’s a pleasant experience.

I got my eyebrows and nose waxed from Chila. She was absolutely amazing! Had amazing results and I definitely will be going back:)

I went in to trim my pixie cut... What I got was a butchering of my hair. I have never been so disappointed. My bands were cut WAAAAY too short, and the back of my hair basically wasnt cut at all.

Going to Riverstone for a cut, or a color, or any combination of services is always a treat. I look forward to spending time there when its time for a trim. I wouldnt consider going elsewhere unless it were dire circumstances.
