SALT Salon Spa Cafe

This was my first massage ever. And WOW am I blown away. Salt has definitely set the bar. The mood, lighting, decor and the smell inside was so relaxing. Michael was very kind and understanding, he really listened to what I was saying and made sure I felt welcomed and comfortable. All of my concerns were addressed and Michael made sure that the amount of pressure being used was okay and not painful. I definitely recommend the salt room massage! And I definitely recommend Michael! I feel like a new person!

I’ve racked up a ton of loyalty points (1500+) with them but when I tried to redeem them they said they were not doing the loyalty program anymore. After I showed them the loyalty page was still live on the website and explained at my last service how I was told to remember to use my points on any of the services on the list, the person at the front desk said they would honor the program for my manicure and I started my service. However, mid manicure they changed their mind and I had to leave the salon with one hand shaped. Thankfully the nail person did my other hand since she felt so bad.They tried to get off on technicality saying since I’ve already gotten a manicure before I can’t use my points. That’s not anywhere on the loyalty page to say that if you get a service you cannot get that service again for the loyalty program any time in the future. All it says is “reaching each tier earns you a choice of a complimentary service… treat points cannot be transferred to others, others cannot use your treat card points, and treat card points cannot be combined”. It’s also comical to think of them, after I started my manicure, looking all the way back to 2022 when I got a manicure to find any reason to not honor their own program.Telling a customer they’ll honor something then changing their mind mid way through a manicure is really unprofessional and so awkward for everyone involved. Loyalty programs are to show appreciation for your loyal customers and this is how you treat them? Especially since this was their bad for not updating their website or app (which still showed the points) and for saying they’d honor it for my manicure and then changing their mind as I’m getting the service!! Kinda shows a general lack of understanding of their policies, their website, and general customer service.But anyways I’m getting a manicure elsewhere and will not be returning to salt. I’m putting this review out there to share my experience for how salt treats their customers. There are many other salons that would do better at customer service. For example, nail ninja who I will be going to instead.

First time at the salon- it’s beautiful, relaxing, and very clean! Lauren took her time ensuring the quality of my finished nails were up to her standards (they exceeded mine). Will return!

Natalia was very gracious, as I was 10 minutes late to my appointment. She provided a very relaxing pedicure for me, and was very kind in asking if everything being done was okay. I appreciate it a lot, and thank her for a wonderful job!Karen Chancellor

I called Salt to schedule a blow out, I was told clearly that a hold would be put on my card in case I didn’t show. I took a $25 Uber to get there. I waited 25 minutes. I was then told “ there was an error in their system when I booked online and no stylist was coming” I said I booked with a human by calling. They apologized. I said an apology isn’t enough being that I paid and waited. The staff there said it was an error on owners part. I asked to speak to owner. She refused to speak to me. I was told she would call me, she didn’t. I don’t recommend and have told my local friends to avoid the headaches and not use this salon. I hope that ppl stop patronizing someone who can’t take responsibility for their error. I had to pay $25 Uber there $25 Uber home and got no service for an event that was 2 hours after this scheduled appointment . I expect at least to be reimbursed for my Ubers.

Would not get your hair cut here unless it is straight. Went there a year ago and they totally butchered my curls and gave me a triangle head, which I didn’t notice until I got home because they didn’t even completely dry it while I was there because she didn’t have enough time. I even selected the “hair-cutting specialist”. I filled out the review they email and never heard anything. Writing this now because my hair is finally at a good point again from getting it cut multiple times somewhere else to correct what happened at SALT.

Emily is amazing! I’ve been looking for a new stylist in Minneapolis and she’s officially my gal. She was very intentional and communicative throughout the cut to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. 10/10 recommend! 💕💕💕

Katie Morello was exceptional. Her professionalism shown through from the very beginning of the appointment until the very end. I have large amounts of fairly straight color treated fine hair, and she selected just the right products. Her technique was expert level and also so gentle. After the blowout, she created beachy curls for me and they are utter perfection. My hair feels light and has tons of volume. I will recommend her to all my friends and family.

My experience was excellent! Paulette did a fantastic job with explaining the services and their benefits and provided a spectacular 90min massage and added on facial cleanse. I thought that the environment was relaxing and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and will be back!

It was my first time at SALT and I enjoyed being there every minute. The front desk staff, barista, and hair stylists were all excellent but MADDIE was a ROCK STAR! She got real talent with her balayage technique. I’ll be coming back, not just for hair but also for the salted caramel latte. Yum! Muito obrigada Salt crew 🧡

I am new to the area and was looking for a place to get a haircut (including new bangs) eventually freshen up my balayage. The space itself is really beautiful and relaxing. I went to Ellie and she gave me exactly what I was looking for in a haircut with bangs!! I look forward to coming back and highly recommend the salon.

I just received a SALT facial (the one on the website that is stated to be Totaling to a 1.5+ hour experience. and includes a hand, arm & foot massage in addition to a foot soak & exfoliation upon arrival). I booked online and was called to be notified that the foot soak and exfoliation wouldnt be available at the time of my appointment but that I could either skip it without any amount of refund or I could reschedule a couple hours later if I preferred to receive the entire service description. Fine. I rescheduled for a couple hours later. What is not fine is that my aesthetician Halle did not give me the entire service even then. I did receive the foot soak and exfoliation upon arrival. I did not receive a hand, arm or foot massage. When I asked I was told well thats because I chose a physical exfoliant for your facial and that took all the time by Halle. I told her that I would have liked to have known that, as I would have preferred a chemical exfoliant in that case because those extras are what made me come here for the service. She then responded with well I wouldnt have been comfortable with that anyways because it was the first time Ive seen you, which is so wildly unacceptable. I not only didnt receive the full service but this person apparently will never give a new client the full service. I am waiting for a call from the manager to hear their response to this situation (and will update when I hear back) but for the time being I am fully appalled by this entire experience. I will say the woman at the front desk was lovely and extremely understanding but had limited ability to do anything but listen. I very much hope for this situation to be remedied. Last thing to note I was out the door after an hour and ten minutes. In no way did was it a 1.5+ hour experience. So disappointed I was looking forward to this!

Maddie was awesome! Super friendly and sweet and totally listened to what I wanted. She knew what she was doing and did not disappoint. I got exactly what I said I wanted and it turned out just like I had it in my mind. She was recommended to me from a friend and I’m so glad I took the recommendation! I will be a return client for sure.

They store credit cards without the customer’s permission. They have a 24 hour cancellation policy however they sent me a reminder at 23 hours yesterday. They say you can’t cancel . I’m not worried, I just won’t give them my business again and I’ll dispute the charge. I belong to a credit union so it’ll be no problem! You guys lost a GREAT tipper! By the way I’m getting a pedi right now by someone who actually knows what they are doing! I also got a foot infection from Salt, Sophia specifically. She used dirty utensils I believe. I do not recommend!An update to my review:Salt has now contacted me and asked me to remove my review. They make threats and try to scare you but this review is not coming down. I have a free speech right and protections against fraudulent charges like the one they made on my card. Again, I cannot stress how badly the consumer should avoid this place.

My experience today was amazing. Genova was very accommodating and attentive. She explained everything well so I knew what to expect! The only thing I will mention is the very beginning of the experience was a little confusing. I waited about 15 minutes in my care prior to getting a text to come in for my experience. I thought I was doing something wrong so I called them back but they were very nice about everything. Would definitely recommend, and will be going back!

I did the full spa experience pedicure and I LOVED the experience. This was my first visit and I was blown away with how beautiful the salon and spa were.This service is essentially a body massage and a pedicure. You get the full spa experience - comfy white robe and all. It was incredibly relaxing and warm.The woman providing my services, Lesa, was lovely!The only downside is the pedicure portion. First off, I wasn’t able to get gel polish during this service. If I would have known this, I wouldn’t have done this. I honestly didn’t even know people still used old school polish! I have been getting gel pedicures every 4-5 months for 10 years and they always look freshly done and never chipped. During my Salt pedicure, Lesa remarked that she couldn’t believe my pedicure was done over three months ago as it looked brand new. My toe nails grow very slowly and I only have to get a pedicure every 4-6 months. All this to say that regular polish doesn’t last at all and I can’t imagine why anyone would prefer this over gel? I took these photos two days after my spa pedicure and you can see the polish is starting to chip and there’s varying degrees of coverage. There is also some weird shaping to my nails.I’m bummed as I got this pedicure a week before my bachelorette party and assumed it would last for my wedding (less than a month away which should have been no problem as my normal pedicures last at least 3 months, sometimes 6) but it’s clear I will have to pay again to get another pedicure before my October wedding. I will continue to only ever get gel pedicures.Unfortunately, because the restrictions of the spa pedicure with gel, I won’t get this service again. I will book massages and pedicures separately from now on! (Whenever I can afford to splurge at Salt again!)Definitely would return for other services at Salt though! Lovely space and people.

Amazing! Loved meeting and working with Meg! Ive been following her work on Instagram and am so glad I was able to finally schedule an appointment with her. She did a phenomenal job on my nails. Not only do they look great, she clearly knows how to care for and maintain excellent health in nail and cuticle care. I will definitely be back again soon to schedule another fab nail sesh, and will also make it a point to check out the other fabulous services that you guys offer. I was incredibly impressed with the entire experience, start to finish!

Emily is amazing I have always left so happy with my hair! I have gotten a long hair cut here and have gotten my hair cut short and it is always fantastic.

I got the Deep Moisture Salt Gel Manicure as a treat for my birthday. My nail technician was Sheryl.Not only do my nails and cuticles look great- but my hands feel so soft! This was for sure one of the best manicures Ive gotten and the massages, scrub, and parrifin wax was such a wonderful way to get pampered on my birthday. Thank you for the lovely conversation and amazing manicure Sheryl!

I’ve had facials at many different places in the Twin Cities but then I found Ella at Salt and now I don’t go anywhere else. She is an extremely talented esthetician and her attention to deal is unmatched. My skin has never looked better!

I received a gift card to SALT and I am so so happy with the services I received! Natalia is fantastic! I went for a deep moisture SALT manicure, and my hands have never felt better! She suggested an amazing lotion as well as a hand mask I purchased from there as well. I will definitely be going back!

Emily does a fantastic job cutting my hair. She actually uses a razor to cut my hair - great texture improvement over using just plain scissors. She is the best!

I dropped in for an impromptu haircut and Emily was able to accommodate me. She gave me exactly the haircut I was looking for and quickly. She gave me wonderful service and she was very friendly! I love my haircut and I will definitely return to this salon when I am in the area! It’s a very welcoming salon.

First time to salt and it was wonderful wonderful wonderful. 90 min massage was amazing and was so able to relax. Salt is more elevated than a massage envy or other massage chain and little details like robes and the nicely decorated treatment rooms make all the difference. Will definitely be back!

Ella is so so welcoming and very thoughtful when meeting my needs. She goes above and beyond to offer advice and recommendations to help get my skin be its best. Cant wait for my next facial!

In the past I would have given five stars, but unfortunately SALT (at least in the spa) has had a lot of turnover and lost consistency in its service. I emailed them last week after I was switched to a different provider without notice and never heard back from anyone. If you get the right person it’s a great experience, but it seems far from guaranteed anymore.

Beautiful spa & salon, I got a really cool haircut with Emily! Easy to book, very efficient and stylish haircut. Love their full coffee bar options. Definitely recommend

Went here for the first time today and my stylist Ashley was LOVELY! My hair has never looked this good — and this salon is so gorgeous! I totally recommend coming here.

Horrible experience. After they switched my appointment on me. I called the morning of my appointment to see if I could reschedule because my son was so sick. They were rude and not willing to work with me. I have been loyal to them for many years, as well as my mom, sister, and husband. Even though they know the whole family and we never have cancelled they were not willing to budge. Then I was charged for the service 2 hours before the service time. even though I said I was going to try to make it. When I arrived my stylist was rude didn’t say hello, didn’t hang my coat, and didn’t talk to me the whole appointment. After being so loyal even whey they have cancelled and switched around our appointments multiple times in the past myself and the entire family will not be returning. We usually as a family have spent several hundreds of dollars a month between cuts, color, nails, and wax appointments.

Paulette was an amazing massage therapist! I came in with a sore body and left completely relaxed and zen-like. The salt room was beautiful and a very enjoyable experience.

An absolutely amazing experience!! He worked through some very tight muscles and seemed to know when to back off a bit. Felt so great afterwards!

Sheryl displayed professionalism and perfectionism. Best pedicure Ive ever had. Not cheap, but worth it.

Ellie revived, refreshed, and gave life to my hair again! My cut was on point and then some!Thanks for a great cut and conversation! From my 10 yo: Sophia made me very comfortable. Usually I’m shy to talk to new people, but she didn’t ask me all the awkward questions people ask kids like if I’m excited to go back to school. She just let me start talking when I wanted to and then she was very nice the whole time.From me: Cashlin was great and very gentle, super nice person to talk to. Our nails looked amazing when we were done. We will def be back :)

I got a very relaxing SALT pedi/mani and the polish lasted forever. Sophia is so sweet - her attention to detail made my feet look and feel like new.

Had an appointment scheduled for my wife’s birthday. They called 15 minutes before and said they double booked so we couldn’t come. Didn’t offer any sort of remedy or try to reschedule at all.

Alex was fantastic! She was welcoming, listened to what I wanted and also made great suggestions, was easy to talk with but also had no problem letting there be silence while she worked away. I had a relaxing and fun time and walked away with a perfectly refreshed cut. Definitely will be back!

I received a haircut from Emily a few weeks ago. When I got home I realized one side was multiple inches shorter than the other. I called and asked if I could come back in and get it fixed. They said they would call me back in 10 minutes and then didn’t called me back for 3 hours. They said the earliest they could get me in was in 3 days. I agreed and had to have uneven hair for 3 days. They texted me a few hours after the phone call and forgot when we scheduled the appointment so we confirmed the time over text.When I got to my fix it appointment they had no recollection of talking to me or my appointment. It wasn’t in their books and nobody could remember talking to me. I showed them the texts and they claimed they didn’t have those. I waited for 30 minutes and the they told me they would have an opening for another 4 days. I had a trip to go on the next day so I said no I needed it fixed now. They said they couldn’t help me. They never apologized, offered my money back or anything. I would never recommend this place.

Got a gel manicure done with Vivian and OMG. Amazing! SALT is a cute, clean space. Love the cafe addition and can’t wait to try out some of their other services.Vivian is a rockstar. Super friendly, creative and helped me pick a design for my vacation. Great manicure and will definitely be back. 10/10

The Salt Salon is my one-stop-shop to feel pampered and loved! Such a perfect salon to be in on my Fridays off! I always look forward to my experience there with this amazing staff of women! They are welcoming from the moment I enter the salon through my exit. Great, spontaneous and delightful conversations from all staff. Lexi, Emily, and Sophia…perform magic on my hair color/highlights, cut, and pedicure! Today, I added brow tinting to my regular services (she was lovely, as well, and I enjoyed my experience with her, as well). To my delight—I have eyebrows for the first time!!! Put a wider smile on my face!! Healthy beverages and light snacks are available for purchase when I am thirsty and hungry. And, a gift shop filled with treasures for every want and need!! My one-stop-salon to feelpampered and loved! Love the Salt Salon!! —GwenLexi is so welcoming, joyfully conversant, positive, and great listener. She always asks me what I would like done with my hair color and then takes time to discuss my preferences before she mixes the hair colors. I have always liked my completed hair color!

Alex was great! I’ve seen her for both a haircut and color now. She’s kind, and she listens carefully to what you ask for. Both times she gave me exactly what I wanted and described. So happy with the end results!

Worst Massage of my life.Not only did the girl just give me pressure point massage that I never asked for, she was listening to her music in her ear buds.It was the worst experience and the manager wouldn’t even give us a refund of $195 I paid.I rarely give out bad reviews but everyone needs to know not to come here for a massage.

Had an excellent spa treatment. Signed up same day for a massage for both me and my mom and they got us in, early even! Such a calming experience. Michael was excellent.

My recent experience, where my scheduled appointment was cancelled, was very strange.I was a little late due to a traffic accident, which I acknowledged when I came in. The staff member up front confirmed I was less than 15 minutes late which was their normal window and started checking me in, but then said she needed to go check because my stylist had a tight evening schedule. She came back and said that unfortunately they would have to reschedule me because of how theyd set up back to back appointments. I confirmed that my appointment was for 4:15 and I was still within the 15 minute grace period, which was agreed, and I asked if I was going to be charged for the visit. The staff person looked uncomfortable and said they would have to talk about it and would call me to discuss shortly.Instead of calling me back, I got an email labeled salt charge that said 15 minutes late was a no show. But we all had agreed I was less than 15 minutes late in person.Ive been coming to SALT for 7 years and recommended it to others. Im happy to pay a fee if I forget an appointment, and also happy to wait as I have for appointments in the past, or show flexibility. This was such poor customer service.

Ellie was able to fix my hair after a bad haircut experience at another salon which left my hair too short and uneven, she was able to even out my hair and give me a trendy and flattering blunt bob. Will be back to maintain the cut, highly recommend! Thanks so much Ellie!

I’ve gone to Emily for my last 3 hair cuts and she’s the best! I just got my hair colored for the first time in 3 years and my first ever balayage from Julia and it turned out perfect! The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing. The cafe has great coffee as well!! I’ll definitely keep coming back

Sheryl is an excellent manicurist who knows how to take care of my nails and cuticles like no one has before. And my manicures hold up really well until my next visit. I also love the space and vibe. It’s modern and cool and there isn’t a blaring TV in sight.

My first time here was a gift from my daughter. I wish I’d had come here sooner! My massage therapist Genova was amazing as was my entire experience at SALT. Definitely worth it!

This was my first time in the SALT spa, and it was a true pamper experience. From beginning to end, I felt relaxed, welcomed and taken care of. My massage with Paulette was just what I needed to start the weekend rejuvenated. Im already looking forward to my next time there!

Ella is just amazing. Her facials are the BEST. You will literally leave glowing. She has such a calm, healing energy, and is so attentive to your every need. I love her holistic approach. And I always leave feeling 10 years younger!

**BE AWARE** My daughter booked a hair appointment for a 4:30 time slot, and they texted her the day of, trying to move the appointment up an hour or so. She said she could not as she was working and could not make it earlier. The texts were very vague an unclear, as she thought the appointment was going to be canceled. She got a $70 charge to her debit card anyway. We tried to discuss options, and they will not work with you! This is the ONLY salon I have ever heard of that requires a credit card to book an appointment?? I would not recommend using this place, horrid customer service!!

Ella was AMAZING!! She really took the time to talk through my skin’s issues to perfectly customize my facial experience, which resulted in healthy, glowy skin! Absolutely would recommend her to everyone I know.

Cashlin was amazing! She paid attention to me and the details of my nails even when I had one very stubborn nick right as I left and popped back in for a touch up. I would definitely schedule with her again!

Sheryl was absolutely wonderful. She has a wonderful personality and provided one of the best pedicures I have ever had. From the warm welcome to sharing some of the tips and tricks she has learned over the past 12 years as a nail artist I cant say enough. Highly recommend. Will be back the next time I am in the area.

My experience with Michael at Salt was excellent. His kindness and sweet nature made it a very calming, relaxing time, and the massage has me feeling lighter than I have in a long time. So grateful!

Lexi did a great job, I absolutely love my new hair! I really appreciated the extra attention she took to the dye that may have gotten on my face. She knew that I had engagement photos this week, and made sure to meticulously watch for stains. I highly recommend her and her color services.

I love this place!! From start to finish the spa experience is fantastic. I believe I had Paulette and she was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!! I did the SALT Body Treatment and oh my god….. it was so relaxing and my body, skin and soul felt amazing after!! I will absolute be coming back! 100% worth every penny!

Trust the reviews... They do cancel the appointment last minute.. and they dont care about finding a new appointment spot for their customers.

I am running the Twin Cities marathon and scheduled a pedicure and massage more than a month in advance for the day after the race (I am taking the day off from work). SALT called me with less than a weeks notice and cancelled both appointments with no options to get in with any other employees that day. After looking at low-star reviews for this spa, Im seeing that its a pattern that their scheduling is unreliable. Dont schedule here unless youre okay with the possibility that theyll flake on you.

What an absolutely PHENOMENAL experience! Genova’s warmth and professionalism from my arrival was much appreciated, as it was my first time in a spa setting. She was prompt, she was thorough, and attentive, ready for any questions I may have. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Absolutely love my gel mani. I was recommended by my mom and glad she did! Emily did a wonderful job for my first visit here. She was kind, professional, and quick. Will definitely come back for more gel manicures, and their spa services in the future.

Halle was very professional, on time and efficient. She was personable and has great energy. My brows look great, and I can be very particular. I won’t hesitate to book with her again.

This is my new favorite place and I’m completely obsessed. Everyone I interacted with during my visit was so warm, kind, and helpful. Brittany did my foot soak and is the absolute sweetest. Additionally, the barista made a 10/10 iced chai latte. Super cute place and I can’t wait to be coming here monthly for all my beauty needs. Very clean, filled with lots of natural light, plants, and an adorable boutique section. Ella is such a doll and I loved my experience with her. She took the time to share with me each step of the facial and gave me expert advice on skin care and products. Her attention to detail is immaculate and my wax with her left my eyebrows looking the best they ever have!

All of the employees were very warm and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend Lexi for anything hair! She did an incredible job on my hair and I will definitely be returning. As if that wasn’t reason enough to come in, there is also a cute little cafe you can order from during your services.

Nail technicians were wonderful!! Lovely environment. I do recommend a better drying system for nails. They were smudged when I got home and checked my nails. We waited the twenty minutes dry time up until five minutes before closing. With winter season and people wearing boots and thicker socks it may be beneficial 😊

I came in for a coffee and it brightened my whole day! The girl who made my coffee was so kind and welcoming, and I will definitely be coming back. 💕

Emily was awesome! She listened to what I was hoping for, made suggestions and was sure to clarify that we understood each other before cutting my hair. I’m very happy and will recommend to friends!

Booked anniversary pedicures for my husband and I. I received a call asking if we could move our appointments back by 2 hours. I told them unfortunately no, we had another engagement to get to, but we were happy to come in earlier. I was told a manager would reach out to see what they could do. I never received a call back, so I sent an email after 5 days. I never heard back from that email, or my second follow up email. Bummer that we have to change plans for our anniversary, but the very poor customer service is what prompted me to leave this review.

Perfect spa day!! Loved the pedicure, relaxing in the salt room, and an amazing facial!!! Thank you for helping to make our girls weekend trip to Minneapolis a wonderful one!

This was my first visit and Erin made it a very nice, memorable experience. I rarely take time off from work to do something nice for myself so this was well worth the time. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. For a little bit I was able to forget about everything on my plate, relax & enjoy my massage. The complimentary foot soak was an amazing touch. I will definitely be returning and also telling my friends about SALT!

Ive seen several different stylist and colorists here this year and theyve all been wonderful! Most recently I worked with Javier and he spent a lot of time helping me understand the best color and cut options for my hair, rather than just rushing into what I *thought* I wanted. I ended up getting a color and cut that I *actually* wanted (and love) but didnt know to ask for. Also, Im so happy to see the whole salon doing everything they can to keep their customers and staff safe during COVID!Being a hair model for Maya and Mal was the best, my hair looks great and I got to learn some stuff from listening to Maya teach :)

Kelsey was so kind and welcoming! I came in with a hair emergency! Not loving how my hair was done/dyed prior (at a different hair salon). She was patient, took her time, worked with me and talked with me about my goal and what Id like to accomplish with my hair. She litterly saved my hair!!!! Came out in love with how my hair looked and feels!

My first ever massage (2012?) was an eye opener for me. I thought it was the most amazing thing that I’d ever done. That changed yesterday. From the moment I walked in, the experience was tremendous. It smelled amazing, it was warm and inviting. Erin was kind from the first second, and I needed that kindness so much. The extra touch of the foot scrub and awesome books to relax even more was fantastic. The massage itself was the best I’ve had, and I loved the massage room, too. This is only my second time visiting Maya, but I am so grateful that my sister recommended her! She is so kind and personable, and overall does a great job. Previous stylists I have visited have been hesitant to make cut and style recommendations but she is great at making recommendations that push me out of my comfort zone and leave me feeling great about my hair. She also is knowledgable and provides great product recommendations without suggesting that I completely redo my haircare routine.

I went to SALT for the first time this past weekend and had a great experience! I had a consultation with Meghan on Friday and appointment the next day. I showed her some pictures of what I wanted and we discussed the process that would be done and what she recommended so that my hair wasnt too damaged. She was very sweet and knowledgable and let me know what was going on through the whole process. The salon itself is also very neat and clean and the employees are very nice. I will be going back in January for another appointment!

On top of an awesome cut, my stylist Keanna provided the best customer experience Ive had in a while. She was really considerate of my time, and made sure I had everything I didnt know I needed to make the experience relaxing and positive. I was happy with my experience while I was there, but unfortunately the results did not last. Even with a polish that is supposed to last for weeks (Dazzle Dry), it started chipping after a few days because the technician was not properly trained to use it. Very disappointed in what was a $80 service. Will not be back.

This was my first time in the Spa side of SALT (Im always there for pedicures every 6-8 weeks!), and it was AMAZING!! So calming -- the lights, the smells, the sounds.Isabelle did the first part of my experience, which was the foot soak/scrub. She was so attentive and her demeanor is gracious.Erin was my masseuse, and like Isabelle, she was so attentive. And her energy is positive and uplifting. She sat with me for a few minutes and listened to my needs...And she focused exactly on the areas I mentioned. It was so relaxing and calming and worth every single penny. I will most definitely be booking another spa treatment soon.I always recommend SALT to everyone whenever possible. And now I can recommend another aspect :)

Ive been to SALT twice now and I love it! Do yourself a favor and book a cut/color with Leah. She always gives me an amazing cut. Its like she can read my mind and give me exactly what I want! I recently moved out of state and didnt get a nice facial since I moved. I was back in MN for the weekend and booked a facial with SALT (a good friend of mine had recommended it to me around the holidays). Every single experience since I walked into the spa was just fabulous. SALT has a great vibe, a calming ambiance, soft robes, lockers and the nicest staff. Mandy, who did my facial, did a great job. She also gave me a tour of the spa/salon which was very nice. It is a modern day full service salon and spa where you pay upfront, walk in, receive a great service and walk out. In my experience, it is hard to find good spas and SALT is definitely one of the best in MN. I am definitely coming back and I highly recommend it.

This was definitely a surprise and delight experience! It was such a relaxing and peaceful experience. Starting with the footbath, followed by a wonderful and long facial, neck/shoulder/arms/hands/foot massage. The whole experience lasted 2 hours!! It was bliss. Ella was thorough, genuine and had a calming presence and touch. What makes this even nicer is that the gratuity is included. When your service is done, you just leave. It was really wonderful!

I came here because of a recommendation from my co-worker to get eyelash extensions. I ended up also getting my hair color re-done as well!Natalia did such an amazing job on my eyelashes, it’s the first time I’ve gotten them done and she made me feel so comfortable and relaxed the whole time.Piper did my hair and knew EXACTLY what I wanted even though I had a hard time articulating it. She did such an outstanding job it’s probably the best color I’ve received (and I’ve been to other more expensive places that did half as good a job)10/10 recommend this salon.

Went here for a pedicure. Upon arrival I was briefly checked in while the owner or manager was busy on the phone/computer. This persisted throughout my time. Was not offered a complimentary beverage and instead was told to use a QR code to purchase. I understand but how it was presented was odd and as if I was an annoyance. The person doing my pedicure was LOVELY and what warrants the positive stars. However, they were told to do the incorrect service by the owner/manager, and I was given a basic one vs the upgraded one I had requested multiple times. Upon leaving, again was not given the time of day by the owner/manger who was too busy on their phone/computer so did not feel like I was able to address the error on their part for my pedicure.

I received a 1 hour prenatal massage with Genova today. She was SO polite and professional. It was a wonderful experience and I would see her again in a heartbeat. Between the foot bath at the beginning and full 60 min (even a bit longer!) massage, it was everything I was looking for. She knew where to use more pressure in certain areas than others and again, was extremely professional.

I had a hot stone body massage and it was an amazing experience! The facility was clean and very zen. My massage therapist was lovely and calming. The hot stones helped relax my muscles and felt so good against the skin. I really enjoyed my experience here.

She has been amazing for all my hair needs and works with my busy schedule!! I was super concerned at first about the blending my 20in+ hair extensions with my short hair but Keanna dyed and matched my hair perfectly to my extensions. She also really listens to what I want and delivers perfectly every time.I also went to the spa for a facial recently , Ella made me feel super comfortable during my facial and was really knowledgeable on my skin type and the products to use. I always get super nervous with my skin in the hands of a new person, but she was awesome! My skin is glowing. I will be back for another facial with her soon!I also want to add that spa and salon are super clean too, probably the cleanest I’ve been in. The girls at the front are always helpful, fast and nice, especially on the phone.

Maya is new at SALT but is an exceptional stylist, and I am so happy to have her working on my hair again! She did an amazing job with bringing me back to my roots (literally) and I am so excited to continue going back to her as my hair grows. It’s hard to find that one stylist who really suits you, and after shopping around I’ve realized that she really is the one for me!I also really appreciated her allowing me to be her model to try out the new color line on. Cassandra was great! Microblading was not super comfortable for me, but she made it a breeze. She guided me through the process, had great conversation that didnt make me feel like I had to talk (great for introverts), and she helped me feel comfortable on the table. Really the 4 hour treatment flew by and Im really impressed with how my brows look! I have a scar that splits through one of my brows and she made my brow look full, natural, and it matches the other one. I went there many times, mostly for wash and style which was great. For highlights needed to re-do somewhere else as did not get a good color even after second visit. Facial was nice - mostly face massage that feels great not a typical facial clean up. But most likely I wont use this place again as when you are a few minute late or need to reschedule, they will still charge you a full fee. Today, they opened at 10 am and I was not able to re-schedule my appt on line. Called at 10:03 as had an emergency and needed to find a new time; was told will be charged the full visit. Previous time was a little late and they would not take me and were not nice about it - while I communicated on the appt that I could be a little late. To rigid for me, would not recommend.

I recently started seeing Javier at SALT Salon for my coloring needs. I previously went to other salons, and felt like I needed someone with more expertise. Javier is fantastic! He is an expert colorist, and provides very knowledgeable recommendations for what is best for me and my hair. Aside from his great skills, he is such a nice person. Its always a pleasure visiting with him when Im in the chair. SALT has such a great vibe - modern, comfortable, and classy! I also had my brows done at the salon, and I couldnt be more happy with the service. All staff are professional, friendly, and an expert in their field!

I’m very particular with salons that I go to. With that being said, SALT never disappoints and the environment is so pleasant and welcoming. Absolutely love that they added a cafe so now I can order a delicious latte while I wait for my color to develop. I’ve been a returning customer for a few years and can confidently say that I don’t have plans to stop returning any time soon.

This was my first time getting a pedicure because I don’t like people touching my feet but I absolutely loved my experience. I got the deluxe pedicure, got my toes done and a mini spa session. The place is absolutely gorgeous and you automatically feel relaxed as you enter the building. KaNoog did an amazing job explaining things step by step and always making sure I was comfortable. My toes look amazing and super beautiful!

Natalia is a very skilled technician-both eyelash and nails. I really like her eyelash extensions which allow me to never have to wear eye make up, something I especially like since wearing a KN 95 mask made my waterproof mascara smear like raccoon eyes. She is quick and the results are beautiful. I also get both a regular pedicure and an extended pedicure removing the rough skin from my very old and callused feet. She is also charming and delightful. I highly recommend Natalia at Salt.

I’ve experienced SALT through the Salon and Spa. All of my services have been wonderful and I like how the Salon has a light airy atmosphere with a fun buzz and the Spa is serene and refreshing. Although the salon was darling, that was the only thing they had going for them. After a long day at work I scheduled a last minute appointment for a gel manicure.This was my first time visiting the salon and entered the back entrance which is the first door from the parking lot. It says you can enter at this entrance by ringing the doorbell, but after ringing multiple times and calling the salon multiple times, no one came to the door. 10 minutes later I find my way to the front and let the owner know what had happened. She did not apologize or even acknowledge my initial struggle to get inside, however she did offer if I wanted a drink so I accepted.It wasn’t until after she opened the drink and gave it to me, “That will be $4!”. I would not have chosen that drink if I knew there was a cost and they should’ve told me that before opening and offering to me. They claim they are a high end salon but are too frugal to provide complimentary drinks.Regardless of my initial impression, I was ready to relax and get my nails done. My manicurist was friendly but did not provide the service I expected for the price I was paying. They advertise a “neck & shoulder massage”, but I did not receive one.Needless to say I will not be coming back and will be returning to my regular salon that is less expensive and offers a neck and shoulder massage. The people, service and price was not the relaxing experience I was hoping for after a long day at work.

Ive never been to SALT before (nor had a facial ever), and it was clear that Irina is super knowledgeable about skincare and skin health, so during both the pre- and post-facial consultations, she took time to learn about my skin and make recommendations, as well as educate me both on the process and how I can better care for my skin moving forward. Throughout, she checked in with me on how I was feeling, put me at ease with new things (extractions!), and it was a really great experience. Very relaxing and it felt super luxurious.A note to the spa overall is that I would really love to see them take some steps to be a little more plus-size inclusive, physically-speaking. While they were awesome in terms of how I was treated in social interactions, the robes are hilariously small, and the table also wasnt wide enough for me to lay my arms at my sides, which was actually pretty uncomfortable. Ive been at other spas where there are extra attachments on the side of the table, more sizes available, etc., and it can really change the experience! Id really love to recommend SALT as a luxury option for the plus size community in MSP because everything else was so great!

I’m soooo happy with my experience with Mikayla & the whole salon! Beautiful ambiance in the salon, sets a great tone. I really appreciated the honest pricing from the get go and didn’t feel pressured to buy anything (even though I personally asked about and chose to buy a purple mask). Mikayla was the sweetest and I’ve never felt so relaxed before at a hair appointment because of the calm & sweet vibe she has! This post is long overdue... I think it has taken me until now because I knew it was going to be a long one. I finally decided it was time, because I figured it was selfish of me to keep this hidden gem all to myself! My experience at Salt has been amazing every time. Being new to the area, and extremely particular about hair stylists, I was driving back home each time I needed a cut. The thought of going through another round of tryouts with stylists until MAYBE finding a good fit, did not seem worth it. This winter, our Minnesota weather drove me to finally do some research and try places nearby. Salt was not the first salon I tried, but was instantly the last. I will never go anywhere else. I was lucky enough to have Richard as my stylist during my first visit. Richard was everything you could ever want in a stylist and more. Being of mixed ethnicity, growing up my hair would always throw stylists through a loop. As soon as I was old enough to chose (and pay for) a stylist who knew what they were doing, I vowed never to let just anyone cut my hair. Richard instantly knew how to handle my long textured hair and was extremely knowledgeable as I picked his brain for tips and tricks to help style, grow, and take care of my hair. I have now been to Salt several times and am equally as pleased with the outcome. If you are looking for experienced, knowledgeable stylists who customize their service specifically for your needs, look no further. All I ask, is that you not completely book Richard up... he is the absolute best and I really cant bare the thought of having anyone else style my hair

The most aesthetically pleasing and cleaning feeling salon I’ve been to! Piper was so nice and cut/styled my hair perfectly! Will definitely recommend to a friend. Also the retail selection is dangerous, I wanted to buy it all.

I received a CBD full body massage from Genova in one of their salt rooms. Genova did a wonderful job of making my experience so relaxing. You get a cozy, comfortable robe, and then they give you a foot scrub before going back for your massage! The scalp massage at the end just topped everything off. I had a really great experience there and I will be returning! What a lovely ambiance!

Javier is the only hairstylist I have ever trusted completely, both with color & cuts. Ive tried different styles/colors over the years, and he always just gets what I want exactly every time! SALT is a great salon, the staff are friendly and professional, and the place is clean, calm, and aesthetically pleasing (and they play great music!).

A beautiful space and excellent staff. The Salt spaceis very thoughtfully designed and has an upscale but accessible feel to it. The staff is welcoming and very professional. Maya was on time, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the product line and her craft. She asks questions and listens to the answers.Looking forward to trying the salt room sometime soon. Salt is much farther from my home/work than my last salon, but it is worth the extra drive time.

Booked a 60 minute massage - Molly was wonderful!! Very polite and knew I was there to relax so kept talking to a minimum. Highly recommend!! Oh, the foot scrub at the beginning is also a huge perk!

Super cute spot. The cups for coffee are adorable and you get your own french press as well which is included in your service and a nice surprise!The front desk/barista girl was very welcoming as well she took the time to walk me to the restrooms when I ask where it is located. Now I have driven past this place several times and while looking for salons that carry the hair care I use I found salt. I called and was able to get a blowout the same day with Callan. She is incredibly friendly and talented. She blew me away with her down to earth, easy to talk to approach. I told her about some scalp issues I was having so she made sure to use the shampoo that I use at home. My hair is wavy, frizzy and sometimes too much for me to deal with. Flat ironing was requested and the results turned out great. Other salons I have tried charge for hot tool or charge for thick hair which isnt always fair. Overall so very please with my service. At 40 dollars it was well worth it and I will be back for future blowouts from her and I look forward to trying other services as well.Thank you!

Keanna gave me a haircut a few weeks ago that was truly the best one of my life. Even now- it has so much movement, looks bomb, and makes my morning routine so much easier. She was so fun to talk with, too! Highly recommend.

What a fabulous experience at Salt! I spent an afternoon experiencing the salt cave followed by a relaxing massage with Erin. I loved that my massage began with a foot scrub and then kept getting better with a massage tailored just for my needs. I left relaxed and slept soundly all night after my massage. Can’t wait to come again!

I was really pleased with the service of everything, but was a little disappointed by the gel nail color selection. I wanted ivory, and there was really only one shade of white to choose from (which was too white). Meg was more than helpful in combining/layering shades to find something I liked, but I would have expected SALT to have a much wider selection of shades. I was getting my nails done for my wedding, and I had a specific vision in mind. I wish I had known so I could have brought my own polish color.
