I was having some neck pain/soreness and so I went in to try a stretch session. The stretch provider was great! I also added the RTR to my session. By the next day, my neck felt 100% better! I would give 5 stars for this service. Although, I probably wont go back as it would be $130-140 and I dont think its worth that.The front desk girl was not very helpful. Over the phone I told her my concerns and asked for suggestions and she wasnt able to tell me much about the services. When talking about the different service options, she seemed annoyed by my questions. After the session when I was paying and added a tip, she made a comment along the lines of just ___ dollars? Which I found unprofessional when I gave an acceptable tip amount.

What a joke. I was just robbed. My therapist was great but that front desk lied and over charged me way more than what I was told Id pay for. $140$ for 60 mins is crazy when I was told $80 not including tip...SCAM!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT SALES/MEMBERSHIPS AND THEN YOU GET CANCELED ON IF YOU HAVE A GIFT CARD OR NO MEMBERSHIP!!!!!! My massage therapist really needs to get outta there, he was to nice for that gulag. He was great but that business/owner/front desk...gross.

I had a terrible experience getting my first massage here. 2 minutes into my massage the lady massaging me threw out the f bomb. She was talking very loud and continued to talk even when I was not responding. I was unable to relax and she had said 4 different cuss words in a matter of 30 minutes. The massage itself felt rushed, I had gotten an hour massage and it was cut short to 45 minutes. Very unprofessional all the way around and I will not be returning.

Unprofessional. I added an extra service to the session but the 60 minutes stayed the same and she did not give attention to both services. She also added her own tip & claimed that I added it, when I called about the charge. I won’t come back.

I just tried to make an appointment as I was gifted a massage for Mothers Day. First of all your phone line connection is horrible, secondly, why should I have to give you a credit card number to hold my appointment? I wouldnt have requested the date and the time if it didnt work out for me in the first place. The hair salon I go to certainly doesnt require this, nor do restaurants when you make a reservation. I could see this if I was a repeat offender of not showing up for an appointment but this is my first impression of your company and its not a good one - so much for a thoughtful gift.

I bought a package my daughter and for 2 years they were closed back in covid days so my daughter went to get her massage they say they have no record of me buying them and cant my receipt of it because I payed cash they they have no record of it so they charged my daughter for her massage. She had the cards they say no record. Well so they basically robbed me and my daughter best of luck trying to get massage at this place

(Not pleased with desk service) Amber was my massage therapist and she was great. Now when it comes to the front desk, I was told that my giftcard for a massage was going to cover the entire cost. But after the massage was done they said I needed to pay a difference of over $30. They either are not true to there word or they are not training the front desk correctly. (Front desk was very rude)

Been a member for years but recently been unhappy. Multiple massages cancelled. Lucky if I get in once every 2 months. Took time off work for a 90 min massage, showed up and I wasnt on the schedule. No apologies given for their mistake. Have called and left at least 5 messages to speak to the manager with no return call. I cant wait to use up my saved massages and be done with this place.

This place sells you a membership and then you can’t even make an appointment for months. The manager said it’s no problem to get in, what a joke!!! It’s all about sales of memberships to them and they don’t care about the customers at all. This company should out of business and the manager should be fired for pushing memberships. Do NOT go here, waste of your time and money!

I don’t like how we get charged if we cancel last minute but they can cancel whenever they want and we have to reschedule. I was canceled with in 2 hours of my appointment and had to reschedule. I work and have kids it’s not easy finding availability in my schedule.

Really upset and frustrated. We got my dad a massage for his birthday- he left a half hour early and it only takes 10 minutes to get there. Despite the efforts to arrive early, there was a detour due to a car accident on a bridge on 169. The entire road was closed and the only other way to get there would have taken him way too long to arrive. We called to see if he could reschedule. Not only did they not let us reschedule, but they had canceled on us 2 times before that. They charged my dad the entire price of the session. I used to work at a spa and this is completely unacceptable. As a former manager I KNOW there is much more that could have been done. Looking at the other reviews here you guys should definitely look at how to KEEP guests. Really disappointed my dad couldn’t get the massage he deserves. This location is sub par to literally any other massage envy location I’ve been to. Caring about your customers experience is important.

Very shady business practices occurring here. Cancelled my membership there in May 2021. A month later realized membership was not cancelled, so cancelled it again. Fast forward to July 2022, I realized that they hadnt cancelled my membership in 2021 like I requested twice and had been continuing to bill my HSA acct. Called again to cancel and get reimbursement for all charges. I was told they couldnt reimburse all charges. When I complained, they stated that someone from corporate would call me back to help resolve the issue. 3 months later and many more phones call attempts to them and messages sent to their online portal, and nobody has ever attempted to call me back to correct the issue. Massage Envy is completely ghosting me. Its frustrating and id advise people to watch their accounts for fraudulent billing, or better yet, avoid doing business with this disreputable company.

Horrible place. I had a one hour massage paid for as a Christmas present. Had it scheduled for today, went there today and the massage had been cancelled. I never got a text message, email, or call. I had a baby sitter come and scheduled my day around this. The least they could do was send me a text knowing it was canceled. The lady at the front desk basically didn’t help me out anymore then saying “I’ll put a upgrade on your account”. I’ve never been to a massage envy before I don’t even know what any upgrades are. Very unhelpful. I will never go back and I’ll tell anyone I know don’t go here.

I have never been so disappointed and frustrated with a business as I am with Message Envy at this location. I thought I was giving myself a gift that has turned into a nightmare. I am unable to speak to anyone at this location, either on the phone or in person. The store was closed on my visit Sunday, even though its advertised open. NO signage to explain why. The phones for both the location and the franchise manager go to voice mail. I have tried making appointments on line with NO success. When you try to create an account, it is NEVER answered. This has been the BIGGEST SCAM I have ever had to deal with. The contract they force you to sign has clauses that trap you in this scam business for a year and after a year the rates go up, you cant make an appointment there are not enough therapists to accommodate the clients. WARNING TO ALL..its a scam!

I have left more than 3 message, and stopped in to talk to a manager (who was unavailable, but promised a call back)My account had several available credits while cancelling it due to not being able to use them during covid. I was told at cancellation that I will have until 12/31/2022 to use the credits. It has been several months of trying to sort this out and I still cannot book appointments as it says that my account is expired. This is well over $600+ in lost money.

This place is horrible. They like to close and not post anything anywhere. Went multiple times to talk to someone in person because nobody was answering the phone, place was closed, no lights on and door was locked, without a note on the door. Left multiple voicemails, never got returned. So hard to schedule something because it is so booked up. I have felt judged by the manager and employees. I received a facial from Jacque and she was super rough and I wish it were over not even half way through. During the extractions I was crying because of how hard she was pushing. Two hours after my face is still red from where she extracted from. DO NOT recommend this place at all. But if you still decide I would recommend Lexi as your aesthetician.

Really dont like leaving a negative review especially in these times, but I feel important to post DO NOT agree to a membership or at least if you do, read the ENTIRE contract and do not take the associates word for when you can and cannot cancel or transfer to another person. I made this mistake.Also the massage therapist you like will never be available or their schedule is not ready I have been trying since last December to schedule with my message therapist.So since I was lied to and did not do my do-diligence and read the entire contract. I asked if we could work something out and let my wife use them or something as I am no longer interested. I thought it sounded reasonable and at the end of the day, they get their money and at least my wife could use 1 or 2 before its just wasted, if she can schedule them.Apparently thats not an option unless....my wife starts a membership! What are the odds we would go running for that?Oh well I should have known better than to ask if I can cancel at anytime or share with a family member and take the associates word for it and not page through the contract myself when signing up. The massage therapists are great. The customer service staff could care less for customer service once you signed the six month contract. Their rigid regulations makes it difficult to receive your massage when your body needs it. There is an average wait period of six weeks to receive a weekend massage. They make it hard to give your paid session to family/friend by allowing you to give only one per month even if you accumulate more and your money continued to be taken out of your account every month. The day I canceled my membership the person I talked to didnt seem to care about customer retention. It almost seemed she didnt want the person next to me hear I am canceling my membership. She just handed me the cancellation form and continued to try to convince another customer to sign a membership contract.

Made an appointment at the last minute and didnt choose the person who performed my massage. I have a nerve issue that sometimes causes me to flinch, which happened during this massage. I apologized & told him it happens even when I go to the chiropractor. Apparently he didnt like me, because when I was done, he told me I should request a female next time.Needless to say, I was pretty offended.**Update**I made a stretch appointment a month in advance & showed up 15 minutes early to discover they no longer have me booked for it. Like it never existed. I make all my appointments a month in advance. Its beyond annoying to wait an entire month for an appointment just to find out they literally booked someone else in my place.Oh, and Massage Envy, I find it interesting that you feel my previous review was positive considering that I literally said the therapist was offensive.

Tried booking an appointment through their online service. Website said no therapist available for a 90 minute massage. Thought maybe their might be an issue with the website. I called in to the location. Asked if there was an opening for tommorow. Was given a rude reply of nope!. I then asked about the next day, each time given a no. Finally after going through 5 straight days attempting to book an appointment, I mentioned the site seemed to be not be giving me a therapist for any day Im choosing, what days are open? I am then given a rude we dont have any days available. Why not start the conversation with this before making me ask each and every day if they have an opening? Very poor customer service for such an expensive place.

I cancelled my membership after several years because it is literally impossible to get an appointment. It is so very disappointing. I have always done deep tissue with a female therapist. I was just told that there are no openings until the end of March. Two months is unacceptable for a member to have to wait for an appointment. I have had to go to other locations which defeats the purpose of having one close to home. I thought I would try the stretch session and keep my membership but was told today that there are only two therapists and limited openings. This is too bad as these services are something I value and Massage Envy is unable to provide accurate services for its paying members.

Awful client service!! I absolutely agree with Zako Ibrahim, my experience is nearly identical. Given the price of services, I have relied on courtesy reminders from ME. Over the last few months, I had several incidences of not receiving the courtesy reminder, but curiously I received the calls that said I failed to show up. Management did credit the first two incidences (who would not show up for a massage they would be charged for???), but when it happened again over the weekend, I was told I was left a phone message and email reminder. I did not receive either, and when I followed up for a copy of the email - guess what - no response. I cancelled my membership Id had for years today. The only follow-up from management was that the membership was cancelled. No interest in retaining a long-term customer (between gifts from my husband and my own spend, is was over $2K per year); clearly they were tired of my complaints. The courtesy calls are important when a client has to book out 3 - 6 weeks to get the therapist of choice because they are so busy. Too bad, because the therapists I had were really good. Not only has ME lost my business, but my referrals as well. Sadly, I also agree wholeheartedly with the 1-star reviews. Ive had similar experiences. In the end, Id rather support a therapist that more directly benefitted from the cost, rather than the disinterested management that is pure overhead.

Treat yourself, lifes too short. I originally purchased a membership as a present for an employee. However after learning just how much she loved it I joined too. Now its ten years later. I will say Id like the membership better if I could get late afternoon or early evening appointments. So dont join unless your work schedule allows for day time appointments.

Lucky for them i dont mind wasting money. Ive had membership for over a year, it took me probably 8 sessions to find a therapist i liked. Even after i found one it was impossible to get a massage when you actually need one, because theyre booked out for at least a week. So in order to get the therapist i wanted i had to book it several weeks in advance and hope that i was sore when the day finally came. On top of that several times i was told hours before my message that it was canceled and offered no compensation, where if i cancel same day i still get charged for half the cost. So i recommend this place if you enjoy wasting $100 on a massage you didnt like long after it offers any benefit. I am very disappointed in myself for supporting this business for as long as i have

Today my appointment at the Coonrapids one was at 11:30. Got there 10min early went to use rest room. I came back less then 3min and masseuse didn’t come out til after 11:30. I didn’t get started til 10+minutes after. Then after she was done I looked at the clock and there was 10minutes left til my 60min was up. In actuality I only received a 40 minute massage. haven’t really found anyone in particular that has really massage the way my retired masseuse use to. Most the ones I’ve had has been ok. I’ve been to multiple ones in twin cities. I’ll be looking for a new place soon.

Went there with a gift card - Their fist introductory 60 minute massage is $55 which is a great deal. Only issue is that while I do carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and need a lot of attention there I wish they would work on other areas longer for a much more relaxing experience. The massage therapist didnt ask if the pressure was okay either during the service so it did get a bit uncomfortable at times.

Love going here!! i have been going to Mitch for almost a year now at least once a month and Ive never had better service. From massage #1 he has been super knowledgeable on what I could benefit from whether its in my massages, sitting at my desk, running, etc. It takes a great therapist to know what your needs really are and cater to them as well as he does.The front desk staff is the most friendly and helpful out of all locations I have been to(this is not my home location I signed up at).HIGHLY recommend this location and especially Mitch as your therapist ☺️

Literally the WORST location there is. They make it hard to transfer one massage to a relative. They make it difficult to get a massage as a member even though us members pay every month to be serviced. When I wasnt a member, it was easy. As a member they tell me no to every hour. I have to go all the way to Maple Grove, far better too. Also, the most rudest little girls working the front desk. Im done with this company.

The front desk gals too superficial. I had a $75.00 gift card and walked out with$12.00 left. I had to give the masseuse a $10.00 tip!!! The massage was helpful though. They tried to talk me into paying $50.00+ a month membership to get my massages for$35.00 rather than paying the non-member frog 70.00+. So in other words Id be paying $85.00 dollars if I were a member. I wont go back. I didnt feel valued at all

I was given a massage as a gift and when I went to redeem it, I was given a longer massage than I scheduled because of an employees mistake. I was unaware how much time had passed until the massage ended, and the employees wandered about muttering to themselves before informing me that I got am extra 30 min for free. Upon presenting the certificate for my massage and tipping my therapist (on my card) I was offered a free membership, so I said sure!I just got a call from Massage Envy informing me that that membership was not free and that their employee couldnt have possibly told me that it was free and that since I signed a contract that I am now accountable for a $60 fee for the next 12 months and that they absolutely will not cancel it, and that they needed new card information for me since the card that Id used to tip the therapist was declined when they attempted twice to withdraw the $60 fee from it! I never presented my card for a membership and I signed a few forms that day, and I regrettably didnt read them thoroughly... However, I believe that the spa shouldve willingly, and happily cancelled my membership. I understand that they dont want to cancel memberships halfway through a year if people are using them, but I was entirely unaware and I refuse to pay $60 a month for something so unecessary to my life! Ugh.. just stack up my debt guys, cuz I will never give you that money, especially not after being treated so rudely by your manager who insisted that their employees couldnt and wouldnt possibly make a mistake... Even though they made a mistake with my appt the first and only time I ever went to their spa!

My experience here left still sore in the areas I needed targeted I asked for upper and lower back massage therapy. The therapist did my neck for half the time. I had to ask how long we were going to do my neck? Finally was able to get a back massage. The clerk asked if my lower back felt any better. Of course I said no. Because she was not targeting the areas in which I had asked to be targeted.

Had an appointment booked as a gift, got a same day reminder for the appointment, when I showed up the lights were off and no one was there. When I called, I was sent to voicemail. No text warning me not to show up, no message on their answering system to let me know they are closed unexpectedly. BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!For our 3 year anniversary with my wife I decided to surprise her with a couples message. The process was as expected until I had to pay. I was quoted $79.99 over the phone by the consultant. I gave $15 a piece to each of the two that gave us the said message. My total was $160.00 I called the next day wanting to find out why this is. I was told its actually 79.99 a piece!!! I feel its safe to assume when you call and ask for a COUPLES message you would receive the COUPLES rate. Both my wife and I have been to other locations in the past. For some reason we were both charged different rates. I was charged $39.99 for my rate intro rate. She was charged $79.99??? I spoke to the Manager over the phone in regards to this issue and she did not provide any refund or apology of any kind. The general lack of sales skills by her was profound. I will never use this company again.

Unlike other Massage Envy locations, this one has been an overall great experience for me. Many of the therapist at other locations have a high turn around and dont stay there for long making it very hard to see the therapist you like regularly. At the coon rapids location, many of the therapists have been there for a number of years, Travis alone has been there for 8 years.I do understand how many people feel in regards to not getting the areas they wanted worked on and how frustrating it is to pay for the opposit of what u asked for, as this has happened to me in the past at the Minnetonka locationWhat i did to solve that problem was this. Imagine you are the boss and the therapist is the employee and you are paying them to do what u tell them to do! So next time you go in for a massage and you say i want the focus to be on my neck and back, be very specific of what u want, and if the therapist stays in a area longer then you want tell them, Will you please move on to my back now. Keep in mind this is your time, and you can use it how ever you want! I have told the therapist can u please spend the remaining time on my back and shoulders and skip everying else. Or can you please work on my feet now for awile. If you speak up during the massage when needed and follow up with the therapist in regaurds to what you want, this will no longer be a problem for you :)This way you never go wrong, and you always get what you pay for $$$$In regards to wknds always being unavailable, or having booking problems, it is so important that you prebook your massage in advance! Keep in mind they give you a 2 day email reminder and a 1 day phone call reminder and a 24 hour window if you need to cancel or reschedule and you wont be charged, so you really have nothing to lose, and it will make things a lot easier for you in the future.If your having problems with the front desk people, i would suggest talking to the manager Trina. She is very supportive and will work hard to make sure you have an exceptional experience. She is one of those genuine and sincere managers you dont often come across.Keep in mind, its nothing personal, its just business and you should be satified for what your paying for! Hope this helps.P.S. If you are looking for good deep tissue massage therapist they have a 7 foot 3 tall therapist with Resort level experience who provides the best massage Ive ever had. If you prefer a female therapist, Houa and Whitney also do an incredible job.

Left house at 9:20, missed their phone call at 9:27, telling me that my 10:00 appointment cancelled! Seriously! I have had several appointments cancelled in the past. Frustrating!
