Aqua Nightclub and Lounge

My friends and I went here last week. We were the very first one to get in. The employees were all very friendly. We sat and waited for the crowd. The very kind owner or the manager had offered my friend if we want to get a VIP table, we had decided to decline the offer. We stay there for an hour, drink and dance on the dance floor. It was too crowded so it was hard to dance. The music, they played were AWESOME! We decided to go to another club. We got stamped by hand? I think? To re-enter back to the club. And, left the club to go to another. But a few moment later came back to Aqua again. We re-entered, we were getting ready to show our stamps and id. But the bouncer already knew it was us and let us re-enter. I love this experience. So keep it up with your professionalism!

I have been frequenting to Aqua for more than 3 years now and every-time I went there my friends and I have a great time. They have a nice mix of people and an awesome DJ. Hats-off to there Bartenders, servers and other staff members for providing excellent service no matter how packed the club is.When it comes to providing Bottle service, no one can beat them. There is always someone to make sure we are getting proper services. Last Saturday we celebrated one of our friends birthday and thanks to Eddie, April, John and Steve we all had a great time.

The music and atmosphere were great. My sister and I had a great time, however, the womens bathroom needs some serious help! Out of the 6 sinks, only 2 were working. All stalls were out of toilet paper and the stalls themselves were so jacked up, Im surprised they didnt fall down just by touching them. If they would update/fix the bathroom Id give more stars.

Had a decent experience when I went there. Efficient staff that got me and my friend in somewhat quickly. It was very busy, so that was not as fun as going through a crowd of drunk people is not the best experience one can have. The staff/security here are professional enough and helped me find my (almost) lost jacket. The clubbing experience is what one can expect and when the night was over, leaving was quite efficient as well. I do not understand all of the negative reviews here as it is a nightclub and not your moms house.

Went on a Saturday night with my girls with ages ranging from 20-21. Seems like a really young crowd with old creepy guys in VIP just watching . They had Ariel dancers (i think it’s called) and a fire dancer so I enjoyed that. It cost $20 to get in so it should pay for something . Small dance floor.Felt like before I went I looked through all the reviews so I felt it was important to put in my input in since every was saying such negative things. The entertainment was the reason I gave it 4 stars. Not as good as some clubs in the city but Those clubs are not open on Saturday for people under 21

Horrible, horrible experience here. Went for a bachelorette party, which according to their website would mean we get free champagne. Not only did that not happen, but they informed us of a $250 minimum tab for renting a VIP booth. Fine, okay, but that was not communicated to us when we called ahead.Next, the men in the booth next to us were being SUPER creepy (coming into our booth unasked, GROPING us, etc.) and the bouncers didnt do a damn thing about it.The final straw was when we went to go dance on the main floor and a bouncer aggressively pulled my friend, who is black, off the dance floor. Accused her of providing alcohol to minors, which is ridiculous because we had been in our VIP booth the entire time and had only ordered two bottles of champagne (just to hit that $250 minimum, too.) They interrogated her for 45 minutes before finally letting her go.Finally, we went to leave and one of the bouncers trapped me and my friend in our booth. Like physically trapped us. And didnt provide an explanation as to why. After waiting for five minutes, a manager comes over and explains that she needed to double check we had paid our tab. Which of course we did. Finally, he let us go.Awful, terrible experience with racist bouncers who dont actually care about anyones safety. AVOID.

I have been going to Aqua Nightclub to celebrate for several years, and I love it! The bottle service is spectacular, the bars are easy to access and the staff is the most beautiful and the most fun club staff I have ever seen! I love that there is a facebook following, and look forward to the tweets, and instagrams every week before I go out, then I know what the theme is and what is going on, and what will be on special. I send friends there all the time, and have had great table service for birthdays and love the package deals! If you are looking for a fun venue to spend a night out, this is the place to be!!!I haven’t been in over a year, as times change and management and ownership changes things change, however I can tell you this was the premier nightclub in the city.

Rented out by Trilogy on Saturdays, and attracts a more Asian clientele.$10 before 11pm, $15 after. Once you get your wristband/stamp its good all night so you could come before 11pm and then come back later when theres more people. Ladies get free champagne on Saturdays. If its your Birthday month you can get free entrance plus a guest all month.The dance floor isnt very big, but it has spill-over areas so its fine. The VIP areas take up most of the club (all the upstairs and everything outside of the dance floor on the first floor). The night we went the fog machine was a little too strong and the DJ was going for a house-mix style, but played a lot of song clips I didnt know. He was okay, but not great.

I would never come back. The people who work there, and the boss are rude and have horrible customer service!! On top of it all some girl must of thought I was someone else. Because she Throws a drink in my face and then next thing I know Im fighting to defend my self from 5 females. The bounce picks me up and says Ill maze you. Me; for what because some girls attack me and dude was rude and man handled me and wouldnt even listen to me.Horrible place I would never pay them again of my money to be miss treated.And they serve to people under 21. The VIP was nothing but 18 19 years old with bottles. This club is by far the worst club ever. I would never recommended it to no one for bday or holidays or just a night out.Like I was doing Im too classy to be in a trashy place like that!!So if your new in town save your time money and dignity!! Again horrible place!!

The bad reviews here are absolutely true! I always want to give a place a few chances since you cant judge a place from just 1 experience but the bouncers here are the worst. They have no dress code published on their website but they still turn away many men and women at their door. The bouncers also lie! Also, the complaints about racism are unfortunately true and this is coming from a white girl who has seen this several times in clubs like this one all over the country. They charge obscene amounts of cover, dont accept credit cards and insist you withdraw (apparently assuming you have your debit card.) Also, if youre black or asian or just about anything other than a white girl/group of white girls/white couple, do not expect to be treated with respect. Sure, this place got lots of stars but I think in general when people are just drunk and looking to get in anywhere with music, lights and a warm place given our winters are sub zero, they will review any place well!Alcohol is not necessarily expensive but definitely watered down. Just because women with big breasts are serving it doesnt mean the drinks are any good or that you should tip for them.As for the club being classy, sophisticated or exclusive, this is complete BS. Not to hate the on the other reviewers but if you think this is exclusive or classy, you have definitely not seen any better. I would recommend CRAVE, SEVEN or 508 for much better dancing, much more beautiful people and music, drinks. Also, CRAVE and SEVEN and 508 dont charge covers. Hell, Sneaky Petes is way better compared to this gutter.These people put a little carpet out on the sidewalk and think they own the street?Also, once I came out with my Indian guy friends and I was the only girl and the bouncer literally said-you need to have more girls! WTF? what if they were all gay? what if they were having a guys night or a bachelor party? Sexism, discrimination, false advertising and useless music, drinks and everything overpriced. Not to mention, this place doesnt even get that crowded most of the time but they still make you wait in line just to feel powerful! Just FYI, guys and these people who you are turning away are the REAL money who will spend in the club lol. My friend who was visiting from India is a millionaire with his own company and was disgusted with the treatment.I hope you guys change this stuff otherwise you will be going bankrupt soon!Also, owners are racist and terrible.

I cant even give them a star, if I could I would give them a full negative five stars, rude as hell and only care about making money. I bought a bottle and booth and was not allowed to finish drinking it ( was not intoxicated at this point ). Went outside and was told I was not coming back in. I told the bouncer I had bottle service, he told me there was no way I could afford bottle service...I had a wrist band on...he said I stole it...when it came time for them to close though and the bottle service attendant came up to tell him I had bounced on my tab he then allowed my to enter to pay my tab. While doing so I had another mean man walk to me and ask how the H I got back in. When again he realized I was trying to pay for a 300.00 tab he backed off. WORST ESTABLISHMENT EVER BUILT. This place is not high end and is trash, oh to add they let there under age servers drink, our attendant was wasted and was only 18 years old.

There is always a good time at aqua, tons of women and men alike. Great music selection 98% of the time I either know the music or am at least willing to go to the beat. It invites friendly dance partners who often are willing to link numbers and send a text message when they are back in town or at least in the club. 5 star, 1st class party location here.

This place is so racist. They didnt let us in because we are Indian. I have never seen any racist people like this. At first they told us to come back at 10 and then when we went back at 10 they pepper sprayed our eyes and didnt give any reason. We didnt get any help from any one. I wouldnt even give them one start they dont deserve it. They are not humans. I am so frustrated dont understand how some one can treat other humans in 21st century like this. I have never experienced any act of racism but this was extreme. We just moved to Minnesota and I thought that Minnesota was known for being nice.

Never again. I walked in to go hang out with my friends in their private section, because they told me the security told them they could invite anyone up there. I gave them my name at the door and they said no more wristbands for that section, but if you just pay the $10 cover and come in you can go hang out with them in their section which is what I did. after about a half hour, a security guard walked up and randomly grabbed me saying I needed a wristband to be there. As me (and all my friends) were leaving the club, he grabbed me by the back of the neck and threw me to the ground, dislocating my knee and tearing my meniscus. When my friend tried to tell him that I was hurt and to stop beating on me for no reason, he was thrown to the ground as well. Aqua is the place to go if you want to end your night in the hospital like me. First and last time I ever go there, unless they want me to come there and pick up a settlement check...

It will make you feel youre hanging out in a high school gymnasium. Plenty of other reasons to avoid this place, & it begins with the ownership.Read the rest of the reviews on this place. Keep in mind that the 5 star reviews, are probably personal friends, were compensated in some way, or are employees that were threatened with losing their job if they didnt post a positive review.

Bouncer said my friends looked 10 years old but then continued to flirt & touch them.....They were ok to go in of course, but at that point I didn’t want them to.I wasn’t allowed in because my shirt had no sleeves as somone with the same exact style shirt, just different color were let in 2 minutes after I had stepped aside.Been to many clubs, this is the ONE I’d never recommend.

From the moment you get in, it is overpriced. A 20$ cover is the most expensive 18+ club event that Ive ever gone to. Then, it is 2$ to check in a coat (reasonable) but another 4$ for a purse. The music that they played was alright. I wasnt overly impressed. Their vip lounge wasnt guarded very well because anyone was let in later on in the night, which is why me, my sister, friend, and coworkers belongings got stolen at the end of the night. And this is where my review turns sour. I understand that they are not responsible for anything lost or stolen. But, I was treated with TOTAL disrespect by one of the owners of the club. The club closed at 2pm and this particular guy cared more about getting everyone out of the club than anyones respect. He swore at me several times when I wasnt leaving the club because a member of my party was searching upstairs in the vip lounge (which I wasnt allowed in because I am not 21 yet) for our belongs that were stolen. He simply did not care that our stuff got stolen and told me to get the hell out of his club. After a few minutes of being treated with disrespect after explaining our situation, I told him that we would never come back. He said I dont care, we have thousands of others people who come! I couldnt believe that I was being treated this way. I have been to various other clubs and NEVER have I been treated with this much disrespect and unprofessionalism. I will never come back to this club, because of the overly high prices and disrespect. My advice would be to not even bother.

This is my go to club but one experience I had at this club is now not my go to. I was clubbing and being a girl I wore heels and my friend wanted to go to the bathroom so we are holding on to eachother because it was so crowded and she accidently bumps into a bouncer which causes the bouncer to grab me and pull me out claiming I was drunk even though I am 18 years old and unable to drink. I came with friends that could drink but I wasn’t drunk at all. So I was pulled to their little lobby area near outside and had to stand because I wasn’t allowed to sit on the floor since my heels were hurting me. They were rude to me and just kept on staring. I felt like these bouncers can’t tell from someone who is drunk and who isn’t. I am not going back to this club.

Horrible customer service! I cant even describe how pissed off I am right now. Showed my ID and my face and the guard said you cant come in, youre too drunk. Are you serious? I drank Sprite all night!!! Even passed my long island ice tea to my bf. When my bf and friends backed me up, they pushed me aside!!! Then that rude guard asked: whats the integral of tangent? Im like i bet u the hell u dont even know that answer. I swear I will make sure all my friends and families know how horrible they treat their customers at this place. So they will NEVER get our business.

They played mostly Spanish music when I was there so I didnt really know how to dance to it since most people were doing salsa type dancing. They played a few current songs that are on the radio but thats about it. Also the coat check girls got really mad that my friend who smokes wanted his coat the few times he went outside.

Never been to a Asian club (Im black btw) but I had a dope ass time there. We went twice and they always let us in and give us VIP wristband, plus they let my lady drink for free (saved me $$$). If I am ever in Minneapolis again we will go there.

The experience was great but the coat check was a compete disaster. It took over half an hour to get my coat from the mandatory coat check. In the end they couldnt find it and just started picking ones off the floor until they find mine. I never expected to spend 30+ minutes leaving a bar (after 15 minutes giving them my coat in the beginning)!

First of all they accused my Mexican boyfriend of stealing a phone and then throwing our drinks away because he “apparently” he stole someone’s phone. Which they checked his pockets & the phone is no where to be found. Exactly so I started asking them like where is the phone my boyfriend stole! They had no explanation because he didn’t steal anything. You can’t just accuse someone of stealing a phone I’m sorry he or she lost their phone but that doesn’t mean you search pockets or people. How come they didn’t search no body else they are racist. I will NEVER go back to aqua again

One the best clubs in twin cities. Contrary to the postings above the club is not racist at all nor it denies entry to stags. Just one thing, dress properly like you are going to a party and not like a loser.

Aqua has great music and great drink specials. Its the best place downtown for birthday parties or bachelor parties.This New Years Eve will be epic! You dont want to miss it!

If you feel like getting your money taken By the bouncers an not getting your paid song requests played all night this is the place to go! Super rude security an alol of ten are money hungry trash. 10/10 wouldn’t go

Very mean security guards. If you’re under 21 forget it. They’ll keep you in one little section corralled like cattle. And when you enter it’s $20. Not worth it for how rude everyone who works there is.

Love Aqua Nightclub!!! They have great music, and awesome people. The service is great. The bartenders make amazing drinks. I would totally recommend this club to everyone.

The only club downtown with an upscale mixed group of people. Everyone has class and its for people who are cultured. Not too many black people or white people or asian or mexican. Its just the right mix of people. No fights (except on sundays) everyone has a great time and are very friendly. Ask for jado or darnell if you want the most excellent club experience downtown minneapolis has to offer

Definitely was not impressed here. VIP section is nothing special either. Security is rough here. Not with I but a chic in VIP threw a drink on a girl on the floor and the girl on the floor got kicked out. Bad call in my opinion.

Very small, very crowded high price for such crappy music 💁🏽‍♀️ Good luck dancing because you could barley hold your drink in there. Crowd control. Not to mention the rude workers there. Listen to the other comments they’re racist and super unprofessional and rude!!!!!!!!!

The dj at this club is abysmally horrible. The dj is juat hopeless, the song he played making me laugh. Hire some real dj for the house music. The music is just too hip hop and black. No way to really dance to it. Hire a real dj. The sound system is good. And dance floor is too small.

Its a racist club, they wouldnt allow INDIANS, for what ever reason.We have been turned down quite a times, for not bringing ladies with us, but at the same time they would allow other STAGS. I wouldnt recommend this club as it would spoil your night after being rejected based on color.

Best NIGHTCLUB in downtown Minneapolis! If you want a truly unique experience, go to Aqua! Make sure you check their website for dress code before you go because theyre really strict about dress code!

I have been to a lot of clubs before & I would say Aqua is by far one of my favorite ones to go too! The costumer service is amazing & the music is great.

Aqua has some judgemental bouncers. My friend wasnt allowed in because her hair was red. Never heard of that being a reason to not be allowed in a club. Lets be real, that happens in NYC, not Minneapolis. You arent a NY Club Aqua. Get over yourselves.

In Minneapolis, this is my favorite club to head to with my friends. The music is really good, the set up is really cool and it is a great place to meet people who just want to have a good time!

Dont GO, Staff is RUDE, RACIST, Over Costly, Dont purchase tickets in advance through third parties as the entry wasnt sure unless the staff allows you in. Better always follow dress code and go in COUPLEs if you cant avoid.

If I had to put the experience I have when Im at Aqua, is incomparable to any other place in Minneapolis. The staff there knows how to have a good time!

My night at Aqua Nightclub was first class thanks to Eddie K. You must see Eddie ASAP. I was just at tao las vegas, encore beach club, and xs. Aqua is at the top of my list thanks to Eddie.

Some black girl ripped my wrist band assuming I was drunk with no evidence !!! so disrespectful ! Paid $20 for that ! Can’t believe they would hired someone like that even called her out to the bouncer and she didn’t have the face to come out !
