I am surprised by so many negative reviews of this spa! I had a body treatment this past weekend, and loved everything about the place - from the receptionist to the changing room attendant who showed me around to the treatment provider, everyone was friendly, helpful, professional and courteous. The facilities are great, clean and pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. The service I received was phenomenal! I read some reviews where the guests received shortened massages or services, so I purposely looked at the clock, I had the opposite experience. The therapist was exceptional! Her deep tissue massage was spectacular. I definitely recommend Sarah. I will be going back to the Ivy.

My bridal party and I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Ivy Spa the day before my wedding! We were treated so well by the staff. We took advantage of all the services the spa had to offer from the gym to the hot tub and then we finished off with gel manicures, champagne and snacks. It was an amazing time!!

I was disappointed. The service prices were on the high-side, however I did not feel the extra expense was worth it considering the level of skills demonstrated by the staff. My massage was underwhelming, and the Signature Pedicure was not worth all the hype. I think the worst part was the front desk staff/service. Theyre very disorganized, and not only caused scheduling confusion with my party, but while I was there, I overheard issues and complaints by several other spa guests. They also had a bit of an attitude and were not-so-friendly whatsoever. I paid good money to enjoy a day of relaxation and pampering and I did not feel it was worth it. I wouldnt go back.

This was one of the worst spa experiences my daughter and I have ever had. I have been to many wonderful spas all over the country. I wanted to treat my daughter to a spa day for her birthday. When I made the reservation I stated it was for a birthday celebration and asked if they had champagne. The response was yes they had champagne readily available. They did not let me know that there was a sauna, steam room or whirlpool available and that a bathing suit would be a good idea. When we arrived the greeting was less than enthusiastic. We were quickly shuffled off for a short tour and then to the locker room/changing room. This was very small and not private at all. It was overrun with clients and staff. We were told to change and go to the quiet room. The quiet room was again full of clients, gym members and staff running in and out. It was not quiet or peaceful. We started with a facial. We were immediately assaulted with a laminated form with all kinds of add-ons for additional charges. The essential oil charge was $15.00. I have never been to a spa where I was charged extra for an essential oil. The facial was OK. The next service for us was a 50 minute signature massage. We had to wait 35 minutes in the crappy quiet room for this. Again, we were asked to look at the additional charge list. My massage lasted 42 minutes. The massage was terrible for both myself and my daughter. We were both ready to leave after this and I wish we had!The last service was a hydrating wrap. This was a total joke. Whatever you do, do not book this service. My daughter and I had two different, equally as bad experiences. We were both cold during this treatment. The tables were not warm and the rooms were cold. We had a moisturizer placed all over and then I was wrapped in the blankets from the table and had some heavy heat pack placed. The heat pack was not warm either. When I complained I was cold, I was told the table was on?? I was then given hot towels and told this was given at no charge! My daughter was wrapped in plastic garbage bag material. This was supposed to be a 30 minute service. My daughter was out the door in 20.Bottom line, save your money and just go somewhere else.

Really enjoyed this luxury experience. Wonderful customer service and friendly accommodating staff. I took a client with developmental disabilities here (Im a PCA), and the manager helped us find what we needed and assigned wonderful staff to work with us. My client had a 55 min massage with Ty who has experience doing massage for people with autism and he was just wonderful. He really made us feel comfortable and made appropriate accommodations to fit our specific needs. My client also tried a a pedicure, manicure, and got her hair done. We had excellent service and friendly, flexible staff who made appropriate accommodations for my clients needs. We also thoroughly enjoyed the relaxation lounge, whirlpool, and womens lounge full of everything you would need to feel very pampered and comfortable. This is my ideal type of relaxation experience. In a manner of advice, I might say that you could get comparable nail and hair service at other places--once you find a person you like, it makes sense to stick with it! So if that is all you want, I might recommend somewhere else just because its cheaper. What really makes Ivy Spa Clubs great experience is the quiet, dimly lit, luxurious lounge with beverages and fireplaces; the womens/mens lounges with everything you need to get spiffed up; and the whirlpool/sauna/steam room area. All of this is free with any purchase.

HELLO??? THIS IS THE BEST SPA IN MINNEAPOLIS!!! You feel like royalty the moment they show in where to find your robe and slippers. Annie showed me around and allowed me to joke and laugh and be myself as I took in all of this fancy beauty! WOW!!! The relaxation room put me in a trance of peace as I sipped my cucumber water and stared at the fire place. The cozy robes, the water and tea everywhere at your fingertips, the perfectly stocked womens lounge with everything a woman needs to get ready for her day after the spa treatments! The Ultimate Body Experience was the BEST SPA PACKAGE I have ever had and I am no stranger to spas and pampering! My skin is brand new and I received compliments on my arms the minute someone saw me after the treatment! So soft and smooth like a babies skin! My spa lady Rachel was so professional and amazing!!!!! From start to finish was absolute top quality perfection!!!! I cannot even describe how amazing the scrub and massage was!!! BEST EVER!!! I cannot wait to go back!!!! I recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants to feel like a brand new person!!

I was very disappointed with my massage service. I called and made two appointments, one for me and my friend. I was offered multiple slots, and said it didn’t matter when, I just needed a very strong therapist. I had hoped that this would have meant that I would have been assigned a seasoned therapist who uses firm pressure. I was brought back to the room late. The room was freezing and the warming on the bed was not turned on. There was no music for the first 20 minutes or so and the noise from the hallways was very distracting. The music abruptly started, and was very startling. I asked specifically for an area on my back that had been bothering me to be worked on and requested not to have any head massage or oil in my hair. Neither of these requests were honored and I felt that the massage was nothing more than feeling like my body had been lightly touched, virtually no pressure at all, mostly she just used her forearms for the massage. Areas were completely missed, my neck, shoulders, hands, upper arms were not even touched. I was never asked about the pressure or my comfort. The massage seemed to be over very quickly, and when I went into the quiet room, I noticed my friend was not out yet, so I went to the bathroom. It was 10:45. With being brought back late, left to change before and after, the had sell for all the up charges, I estimate I had about a 35 minute massage.I would expect that for a $100 massage that I would be getting the full hour. I would also expect that a good therapist would be checking in on the client to make sure they are fulfilling their needs. I am a frequent spa goer, I am very familiar with how things should be and what entails a good service. I kept quiet at the time because I did not want to ruin my friends experience. I am also very disappointed that everything was an up charge, aroma therapy, etc. For $100 a scented oil is not even included? I forgive little things all the time, no place is perfect, but there were so many glaring insufficiencies here.

I had a very unsatisfying experience at the Ivy Spa and will not be going back. Last Sunday, I had an Ivy Signature massage which was hardly a massage. When I asked the therapist to apply more pressure, she told me that I would have to pay more, that the Ivy Signature massage was for light to medium pressure. Really? What a rip-off! Every massage therapist that has ever given me a massage will ask if you want more or less pressure. They will NOT tell you that you need to pay more. This is the Ivy Salons policy she explained. Pretty pathetic. Its also way too expensive for what you get.

This spa is amazing and one of the best I have been too. All the amenities are great: gym, whirlpool, steam room, sauna, relaxation area. Nicole did an 80 min deep tissue massage and it was incredible. My ankle was hurting from planter fasciitis and it is much better. I added the optional hot packs. I wish I had booked more services. Some reviews mention products being suggest and some talking heard in relaxation area. This is common at every place even at the Ritz in FL. I didnt buy products but they do have great options available. ♥️this spa and I wish I lived in this area. I love that they used a historic building for the spa.

Staff was rude. Came in for my sisters wedding with her and my mom. I was told they were unable to do my nails because i have a acrylic gel overlay. Would have been nice to know this when we made the appointment. My mom politely asked if there was anything they could do for me (the wedding was the next day) and they blatantly ignored her. One of the ladies told me “I’m sure there’s a chop shop close by that can do your nails” racist and extremely rude. Would advise to go literally anywhere but this establishment.

Very disappointed with my manicure. I did the gel manicure and had to go back the next day for one of my nails to be completely redone. A few days later polish started lifting off four more nails. The gel didnt even last a week! They are extremely over priced ($65!) for their poor quality of work. I would not recommend this spa to anyone.

Seven of us planned an afternoon of services to be followed by a soak in the hot tub and use of the sauna and steam room. We all checked in 30 minutes prior to our appointment time at noon. The staff seemed very disorganized. We were never given a tour of the facility to know where things were or where to wait after we changed into robes. Most of the lockers did not have robes and we also had to ask for flip flops. When I gave this feedback after paying my bill, I was told “ we are short on staff”. For a premier spa that it is suppose to be, I was pretty disappointed.Linda GossMinneapolis

I recieved a massage and facial here. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Bryn with the facial. I felt as though the decor was outdated and could be more zen. In each room I was in, the air system was very noisy and sounded broken. Prices are not bad but they could honestly charge more with an improved environment. The robes are a great touch :)

I love the idea of a full service spa, but...Front desk always tries to sell me something, which frustrates me after a relaxing service.Massages were really good.Gel nails chipped within the week, much cheaper salons have lasted 3-4 weeks.Uncomfortable seating for pedicures. Amibiance for pedi/mani was cold.Although massage was good, I wont return for the overall cost Im paying for the full spa experience.

I went in for a gel manicure and lunch was and dissatisfied with everything. First of all, we put in a lunch order and it was delivered right when our manicures started. How are we going to eat during a manicure? By the time we were done, the food was cold and gross. Then, one of my nails chipped and another peeled halfway off two days later. They let me come in on a Saturday and get them fixed. One was repainted and the other the chip was filled in, which I thought was strange. That same one chipped again after 2 days. Then, today, only 6 days after my manicure I scratched my arm and entire nail came off! This is supposed to be gel polish! I spend a fraction of the price at dive nail parlor and it lasts 3+ weeks. Theirs didnt even make it to one week. So disappointing. I am going back to my salon tomorrow and never returning to the Ivy.

I agree with the other posts, WATCH your time!!! I got an hour pedicure which started late and was 30 minutes long... The bench seating is SO uncomfortable, they did not seat me next to my friend, and my polish chipped off within 2 hours ( no I wasnt dancing on it,) 3 girls I came with had chipped nails within the night! Cannot get ahold of a manager to save your life ( they do this on purpose I think). wAY overpriced for that kind of service. This was not paying more for high end, this was pretentiousness.

You can hardly call this spa ¨luxurious¨ when it comes to both the actual services and the customer attention. We had a bridal party at this spa and from the moment we walked in the service was horrible. There was no attention to detail, we felt that we were asking them a favor and the staff looked annoyed when we asked basic questions. I asked for a manicure and my cuticles were so swollen the next day that I could not type or do anything. I cannot express how bad the service was, incredibly disappointing.

On April 13th I scheduled a couples massage and requested one female massage therapist for myself and scheduled this with Destin. The following day after realizing that I needed two female massage therapists, I called in again and talked to Destin once again and made the change. It took her a few minutes to get logged into that account but she confirmed that we had two female massage therapists. Once we made it to our scheduled session on Saturday the 15th we were greeted by a male and a female. Once we told them we requested two females we were required to wait an additional which is understandable, but when I went up to our room while waiting the two other front desk people were rudely talking about us. I should have cancelled our session right then and there, but I had spent a lot of money on the hotel, dinner and everything else for the weekend and I did not want this too ruin our relaxing day. Once we made it to our session we were brought into an oddly shaped, long room where our tables were situated in a fashion where our heads were at the opposite ends of the room. This was like no other couples massage that I had ever seen before. Other places allow you to see each other face to face and touch hands if you reached out to one another. That was not the case here, this felt like you were in 2 complete different rooms. At the end of the day, I would highly suggest you spend your money somewhere else, which is sad because the hotel is beautiful and the 2 companies in tandem could be a great thing. It is not a great thing, however. I was really disgusted by how the front desk workers were so openly and rudely talking about my partner and I and how they were laying the blame on us for the situation (the ones that were working @ 5:15pm on 4/15/17).

Went in for my first time for a manicure and pedicure. First of all.. no massage chairs and the seats and pillows there were not comfortable at all. IT was not relaxing because it is a bench style seat for the pedicure. My nail polish chipped that day and the guy doing my services was covered in tattoos with gold teeth. Never going back.

My boyfriend gave me a $150 gift certificate for my birthday. I made an appointment for a signature facial with two add ons an eye and lip treatment. This was the worst facial I have ever had in my life and the most expensive. Total ripoff. The person giving me the facial was terrible. I had a couple of minor oily spots and she was squeezing my nose so hard I thought she was going to break it. I had to yell out 3 times. Then she did the same thing on my cheeks. I thought she was breaking capillaries. No extraction equipment only her horrible squeezing. My face did not need this. I did not have any acne to begin with. The products were ice cold and applied sloppy. The towels used to remove the products were rough. The add ons were nothing but a 5 minute pad added to a mask that made no difference whatsoever. My skin felt totally unclean and unrefreshed when I was done. It felt sticky and had some grainy residue on it. I went home and looked in the mirror and saw my skin looked worse then before the facial. I had to rewash and exfoliate my face and moisturize. I would never go back or recommend this place to anyone. I could hav has 3 wonderful facials for this price. DO NOT GO!

It makes me sad to see that there have been such negative reviews written. I have only received services at Ivy Spa Club twice and both of my experiences were amazing. Also, the ambiance is lovely and they use high quality products. I definitely recommend getting the Lomi Lomi massage. Few places offer it and you will feel in a euphoric state afterwards.

We asked how come they were keeping our credit card number on file and they said they didn’t, so now Im really confused and upset of their sloppy response to this issue.I then asked to speak with a manager to ask about their solution to this problem and as of today the manager does not even have the decency to call me back.
