Thai Massage Retreat and Head Spa

Had my first ever massage yesterday with Elina. I was more than impressed. she found all the ares which had knotted muscle and today i woke up feeling fresh and ready for the day. will be back again

I hate to do this, but I went today for the first time, wanted to try this business since it was closer to my home, and slightly cheaper than where I have been before. I hate to leave a negative review, but just to warn others, would not come back to this place. The lady had long nails and I felt like she kept scratching me, the room was cold, they did not heat the massage table, and lastly, she forgot to plug in the warmer and used cold stones on my back. There was also a lady that was staying in the room, I assumed it was for training, and I regret that I didn’t ask to confirm. Ill definitely go back to my regular place @Xias.

Today I came in to Thai Massage Retreat in Missouri City because I’d been having a problem cleansing my scalp. I received a headspa massage and facial by a wonderful lady name Van. My scalp feels so refreshed now. And my face feels clear of all dead skin. I didn’t know the service i was receiving had a facial with it. But it made it all more worth a while. Thank you so much Van you were great

The entrance is moldy, dirty, needs a lot of work. Went in for a scalp head spa and I got a facial. By the time the scalp spa was next I was told there was no water. Arriving early was useless because I left without getting what I booked for. Also when I left from there I had white patches of chemicals all over my hair and my clothes. I had to arrive home and shower to remove it. I had a bad experience to say the least.

Tony gave me the best deep tissue and Thai massage combo, ever in my life! Just wow! My pains, aches and muscles pinches / inflammations literally disappeared after just one 90 minutes session with Tony. I strongly recommend this spa, especially sessions with Tony. Of course, i will be a regular customer going forward! I have already switched my weekly massage therapies to Thai Massage Retreat and Spa. Theyre the best, hands down!

This place smells like mold. The entry is dated and dirty. The customer service is the worst. The masseuse uniform was soiled, and she appeared disheveled. After a few minutes, I decided this was not the place for me. I left.

Really cool place. Got a haircut here. The place is very peaceful and tranquil. Very nice haircut. Would return for sure.

I had my first fibroblast first week of Feb. She told me it will take 2 to 3 weeks to see the results. I was miserable. She burned my skin(face) she told me to come back. To fix it! I end up going to a real dermatologist. Warning ⚠️ dont go to this place. Youre just gonna regret it. My advice check the reviews before submitting yourself. I still have a lot of scars in my face!! Learned my lesson.

I rarely review places when my expectations aren’t met because I realize things happen and don’t want to kick a business when they are down. But today I drove 45 min through Houston rush hour traffic to get to my 5:00 (got there early) appointment just to sit outside for nearly an hour because the door was locked and nobody was answering the phone. So finally, at 5:45 they called me back and asked if I would wait 5 more minutes so they can come let me in. Where are they? I watched someone come up to the front desk 20 min later just watching their phone. Still didn’t unlock the door. I left… hugely disappointed. My appt was 45 minutes ago and I’mStill not a priority! I’ll never come back. What a waste of someone’s time and so disrespectful.

Horrible experience today the worst ever head massage and facial.The head spa was washing my hair and rinsing it off more than 4 times. She scratched my hair with her nails. Barely any massage there. After that my facial was 3 different products on my face and that’s it.The place has too much stuff everywhere, very disorganized. The AC wasn’t on. The lady answered at least 4 different phone calls and even a personal one while telling me to “relax”. No music, the sun was on my face. She also had to run back and forth and make so much noise when getting her materials in between products applications.No where close to relaxing. DO NOT GO HERE. Waste of $$$

Love this place! This is my second time. So far I have had a manicure with Haley, Brow shapping, mirodermabrasion and mini facial with Kathy and a full body massage.Parking is free and located directly in front of the salon. They offer wine or bottled water with most services. It is reasonably priced and after my treatments everything looked great. My skin was baby soft. My brows were as I asked and my nails were perfectly buffed.They are running a 30% off special for new clients via their Facebook page. Check it out.

I wish I could give this place a negative star.I usually dont write reviews even if my experience was bad. This place was the worst nail salon Ive ever been to! First thing, I spoke to a woman over the phone to change my appointment from 7pm to 7:30pm and she yelled at me saying they dont take anyone past 7. Then hung up. (Same Day) When I got there at 7pm the woman I spoke to turned out to be the manager! Great. She was so rude and disrespectful even in person.Wait it doesnt end there.Now the nail tech is rushing the whole pedicure which is NOT relaxing at all. Even while she was filing them she said oh everyone is going home and chuckles.(7:35pm)I look at my toes & it looks like a 5 year old painted them (Im not exaggerating) I asked her to please take the polish off & told her Id go somewhere else. (Only bc I they made me feel so unwanted) Now the manager comes & is no help of course. Tells me to pay $20 for it.Let me just end this here.Never again Thai Massage Retreat, never again.

Used a groupon for shellac nail and pedi. I hadn’t had a great experience the first time but there was what seemed like a great Groupon offer for what I wanted. I was asked if I had ever been there with a groupon which I had six months ago when I bought the second Groupon for this the fine print stated you could purchase it again in 90 days, I was then told by the manager you could never buy a Groupon from there if you had already purchased one in the past I then stated the Fine print and they went ahead and said I could use it. I ended up paying +25 additional when I got there. They charge $10 extra to take shellac nails off. I wanted to get a fill and was ok with paying the difference but first stated the “machine” is broken. That did not make sense since there isn’t a “machine” used for a fill, then I was told the only person that knows how to fill nails was off that day. Once they had removed my nails/shellac I was told they could only do powder since my nails would be to weak for regular shellac. The powder was not a good experience and did not look like the color on the nail I chose. In total I ended up paying more than I would have without using groupon with everything they kept adding up. They are extremely slow and they were not busy I was there for three hours. There are many places better than here and the Groupon they advertised is definitely too good to be true, definitely not coming back.

I suffer from chronic pain due to arthritis and a muscle disorder. Linda, the most AMAZING masseuse, gave me the best deep tissue Thai massage!!! For the first time in years, the knots in my shoulders and neck are gone.She spent so much time and energy to work the biggest ones out. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone else who suffers from muscle tension.In addition, the facility is gorgeous and clean!!! Serene and peaceful...I cannot wait to go back and have Linda work on all the other knots I have.

I have been going here for a number of years to work out the knots in my back from hunching over the computer and to help with the pain in my hip and leg. The staff are professional and friendly and I leave walking much better!In addition, I get my hair cut there regularly and I also have tried a pedicure recently and my toes are looking so much better!

I’ve been following Tony for over five years now he gives the best full body massages! Ladies, if you want an awesome, fabulous massage Tony is the one to ask for he comes highly recommended!

For over 4 years this has been my go-to spa! Love the personal attention given and professionalism of the staff. Best Thai massage in town and they are very careful with my pedicure since I’m diabetic. Your body will thank your brain for the wise decision to try Thái Massage Retreat!

They did a great job on my pedicure! I have ingrown toenails and my gal did an excellent job caring for my feet and nails. Will go back again, hopefully for a massage next time!

To start, I find it interesting & highly suspicious that my Groupon app suddenly shuts down each time I attempt to rate & review this place.I purchased the Groupon deal for a gel manicure & called to make an appointment. I called twice, but no answer, so I decided to just go. Upon arrival, I am greeted by a very nice woman who, unfortunately does not speak English. She went to find another associate to assist me. I informed them that I had purchased services through Groupon, & was immediately told that I have to come back later bc they were too busy & bc I didnt make an appointment. There were 2 customers & 5 staff members present, by the way. I attempted to explain that I had called to make an appointment, but There was no answer.I came back in an hr, as instructed, only to be met by another staff member who repeatedly asks me how I found out about their nail shop. She asked me this about 10 times, blocking the polish until I gave her a satisfying answer. I explained that I found out via Groupon, only for her to keep saying, I know, but how do YOU know about this place? I also heard two of the staff members arguing with a customer bc the customer was concerned that they kept changing the prices.Needless to say, I will NOT return to this place. Horrific customer service, & I was made to feel as though I was less-than bc I purchased through Groupon. I still tipped more than 15%! Honorable Mention: there was dead, dried skin one the cuticle tool Kevin attempted to use on my hands. When I pointed it out to him, he attempted to argue that it had come out of the sanitizer. Once he saw it for himself, he poured alcohol on it & continued. Never again!

I just had the BEST Thai massage with Nancy. It was amazing. Not only did she ensure all of my back and leg pain were gone, she also helped clear up my sinuses!! Thanks Nancy! I will be back!

Unlicensed technicians. I got what was supposed to pass as a Swedish massage from a clearly unlicensed person. Imagine a full body pedicure including random pounding with a fist. She didn’t understand muscle groups or the language. She put oil on her hands and rubbed it on me in a vague manner. I was then offered an experienced massage at a later time. When I tried to get remassaged the worker “Kathy” refused to give me the service promised. Worse they offer Groupons for this travesty. They should be reported to the licensing board before they really hurt someone.

Very helpful and polite, I would definitely recommend getting a massage here. Ask for Linda she will take great care of you.

Went for a couples massage and worst decision ever. Barely got much of a massage at all, and now my entire mid and lose back is stiff and spasming, as well as being in a lot of pain and very dizzy and disoriented directly afterwards. Going to go see my PCP tomorrow now because of it. Ive had a lot of messages done, especially for sports, and never have I felt like this after. I would def. not recommend unless you want to risk your health.

Had my first Thai massage and it was amazing!! The woman was Angela and she got into my back when most can’t get thru my muscles. Very impressed.

My husband and I both had a 90 min massage. I did the Thai and he did the sport. By far the best we have ever had! Highly recommend!

One star bc it’s the least I can give.Rude, rushed service, pedicure was embarrassing. Paint all over my toes after being “fixed”. My 13 year old daughter can paint better. Not worth $25.

Amanda was very nice and did a wonderful job on my nails and Ree took her time and did excellent on my pedicure!...my first time going and I will definitely go back!...I loved it and pricing is reasonable for a job well done!!! :)

Extremely slow even though I inquired if I could be out by a certain. Yes yes dont worry was the response. Well it was 15 mins after that time b4 I left. My manicure is crappy. Gel polish chipped in less than a week. Pedicure was so-so. Dont waste ur time or money.

Worst nail experience ever! The techs were very rude and did a terrible job on my shellac mani/pedi. I tried a Groupon to test another salon in the area, dont waste your time.

Amazing facility, true Thai Massage including stretching, back walking, and I passed by their couples rooms which looks elegantly furnished including Jacuzzi tubs and sauna. I will definitely be going back!

I’ve had many pedicures in my lifetime and this was the absolute worst! No foot massage what so ever. My feet were not scubbed either. The polish was just ok.

I went there and tried their headspa, this place just has no experience, dont know what they suppose to do for headspa, their website described a lot details and steps for headspa but they did the total different story, can not relax at all!dont go there, dont waste your money. !
