I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at Warm Day Spa. I booked a 60 min deep tissue massage for a nagging shoulder issue, and what I received fell far short of expectations on every level. The advertised price of $90 for a 60 min deep tissue massage turned out to be a little misleading. When I got the receipt, I was charged an additional $3 with no explanation. When I asked, I was told it was a credit card fee, despite no signage mentioning separate pricing for cash versus card payments. The massage room lacked basic amenities. There was no air conditioning or a fan, which made the experience incredibly uncomfortable, especially on a hot day. Also, no music or white noise playing, so all I could hear was the outside street noise in the room. Throughout the massage, the therapist had to stop to answer the door for incoming clients. I did not receive any time back for the times she left. Most importantly, the massage itself was deeply unsatisfactory. Even though I requested a deep tissue focus on my shoulder, the therapist barely touched the area. Instead, most of the time was spent walking on my back and legs. Later, she used an unfamiliar scraping/rolling tool on my back and legs. It felt like she was making things up along the way, with no focus on my requests. Honestly, Ive never had a massage session where I longed for it to end just to escape the discomfort.By the end of the massage, I honestly didnt want to tip her, especially after forking out $93 for an hour of frustration. Even after such an unpleasant experience I knew I would feel bad for not tipping, so I compromised on $10. Its at least 10%, so I figured this was ok. I really just wanted to get out and never come back. What shocked me was after I tipped her I headed to the door, and she actually stopped me. She held out her hand and told me that my tip is not okay. She insisted I need to tip her at least $20. She became aggressive and told me Im not good for tipping so little. I told her that tipping is optional, its up to the client to decide if they want to tip, and that it is extra if they decide to. I told her she didn’t address any of my requests and if she doesnt like my tip, she can give it back to me. Obviously she held on to it, so I left. While tipping is customary for good service, it should never be coerced. And they should never ever shame you or bully you into giving more. This was the worst massage experience in my life. Save yourself the frustration and avoid Warm Day Spa.
This place is neat and clean. Jenny is professional. Best services. Satisfied with her service.
1. The sheets are not clean. The masseuse put the same towel back when I was leaving. I am feeling a bit throat infection after this visit.2. This is not a professional/therapeutic massage place. The masseuse had no training. A fair bit inappropriate touching.
Very professional, clean facility, masseuse was very good.
Love this place. Very reasonable price and professional service!
High quality, affordable massage. Convenient location and hours.
Dislike.
