Surprising great food and atmosphere in an unexpected place.Searched out a local restaurant for a casual lunch on our vacation. Z’s is an awesome family owned place with some very good food. I had the recommended Italian beef steak sandwich. It had a nice spicy kick and the beef was thin sliced and tender. My wife had the burger which had really good flavor. Perfect fries were the bonus! Lots of TVs for lunchtime but wished we had time to go back for the night time music. We met Alexander Z, who represented the family business with pride and excitement. He topped off a great overall experience. Highly recommend and hope to make it back again.

We didnt eat on this visit, but the dishes we saw were cleaned so I think its acceptable lol. Alex was our bartender and extremally nice and welcoming, we will defiantly be back. They have an awesome outdoor section with its own bar with taps, plenty of seating and live music at scheduled times and events. The music is also available indoors, only thing we werent fond of is that there was political news channel on TV, which is a problem when someone doesnt agree with whats on. Shouldnt be a problem to ask to have it changed to sports. They also have Karaoke & bingo nights. Love this place!

An amazing personal and very cool music and kitchen experience, family friendly with affordable meals and two amazing Venice Grouper pasta dishes! Be sure to ask for Gary and say Hi to Mr. Zimmer, owner, who also rocks with the groups. Summer hours are Thursday - Sunday. Cool spot. Band was great. Stage and sound was very good. Food was better than bar food. Service was lacking. Might have been an off night. Will go back and try again.

Nice place and nice outdoor entertainment area. The Coral Stone band was great entertainment. The downside was they seemed a bit understaffed, as occasionally there were long lines to get drinks. Large food portions. Had the ribs and the pulled pork as they were out of brisket. It was almost like rib and pulled pork soup. The entire meal was doused in Open Pit. I think the chef / cook needs to gain confidence in his cooking, and not cover it up with all that sauce.

Sat out in the outdoor back space. Music was great, area was great. I had the grouper sandwich and it was PERFECT. Our bartender was the sweetest guy. Would recommend to anyone to give this place a try. You can’t tell from the front just driving by how cool it is!

Saw Taj Farrant perform. What a great talent. Z’s was a good venue for the show. It was out doors so we were very lucky that there was no rain!!Staff was good however the price of a glass of wine was 12 or 16 dollars per glass depending on the server. No set prices?

Omg this place is a hidden gemThe owners are so attentive and in tune with the vibe of the place and keep everyone happy. The food on the other hand will floor you!! So fresh and delicious! I work all over the southeast and ill always make my way back her now. Especially since I know they have a staybridge hotel right behind them10 outta 10

Craving a good Burger so we stopped in Ben Allens Backyard Grill & Pub. Service was excellent! Food was fantastic and we were delighted to learn Ben Allen was in the house and would be performing. Table side caramel popcorn is a must try.

I was starving and expecting to order bar food, but this is not your typical neighborhood bar! Steve E. George and Mark the pianist were such a breath of fresh air! Jazzy blues playing while eating the PHENOMENAL Grouper pasta and sipping my delectable lemon drop martini. I WILL be back quite regularly!

AMAZING stop when in town for a wedding. The best service I’ve ever encountered in all my restaurant going experience. BEST WINGS. Come here and ask for Z!!

Had lunch here. Decent food, good cocktails and nice service by Laurie.Came back for Bingo. Two people called Bingo for the first game and then the guy made an announcement that only the first person would get the pot. It clearly should have been split! Unheard of... nothing like making up rules as you go. Im sure Bingo is run by an outside vendor.... maybe find someone else to run the event fairly and correctly.

What a fantastic find. Naples should be honored to have this place in their neighborhood. Tom and Lori have a great place here. They are two of the friendliest people you could ever hope to meet. The food could not have been any better. My only complaint, is I was way to full to try anything else. Guess Ill have to go back at least once a week while im here. Great place to hangout and listen to LIVE music. Two stages, one indoors, one outdoors. It dont get much better than that. Ball games on t.v. or just hang with your friends. Do yourself a favor and drop in. Tell them Ray and Connie sent ya.

We drove from Cape Coral to ZZ‘s music. When we got there, the note on the door said closed till June 28. The website said they were open very frustrating but we will come back and give it a try.

These guys are awesome! Great wings, great environment, great music. Made us feel at home while visiting. Great hospitality, coming from a midwesterner.

2 bands.One outside (3 guys) were really good playing classic rock.One inside with a guy that was supposed to be singing and he couldn’t stop talking.Band was good when they were playing and singing.Food was ok but not great.

We have been enjoying this place since before the name / menu change. Went in to see the same fun bartender from before. The menu has some pretty cool stuff. We get burgers, soup, sweet potato fries, wings regularly and draft beer. Always delicious and fun with games like darts to entertain.

Stopped by for some karaoke the other night with Jan who owns and runs Island Star Entertainment and she is fantastic at what she does so this post is NOT about her or the karaoke itself but rather about the incredibly rude and petty owner of the establishment. The owner of Z’s had the audacity the other night to come up to the front of the restaurant, grab the microphone, and tell all the customers “to get their own drinks at the bar and stop complaining that there is no more table service after 9pm”. As if that wasn’t rude and unprofessional enough, he then PUBLICLY verbally berated many of his wait staff, his bartenders, AND the woman who runs karaoke on Thursday nights there. I’m not sure who he thinks he is but he has NO business running a restaurant and he treats his staff VERY poorly so I can say I won’t be visiting again due to his disgusting attitude towards customers and staff. I would like to shoutout Jan (Karaoke), Mari (Waitress), and Alex (Bartender) for being so kind and helpful to my group. You are ALL rockstars! Owner of Z’s on the other hand, you need to learn how to manage a restaurant/bar or shut it down because you are a VERY unprofessional and cruel individual!!!!!

Great music Great vibe. Good beer selection. Food is decent. Goat cheese app and grouper sand were good. Outdoor area is done well. Bar service is efficient. Owners are really nice.

We love the musicians we have seen , the servers are the best. Cant wait to experience more of the food. So happy we found Music Kitchen

Went to comedy show, here are issues/suggestions:1. Waitresses should have assigned sections and training for an event like this. They were all over at random tables and hit some tables twice before hitting some at all. We were close to first seated, last served. Hostess finally took order. This was including drinks.2. Have pitchers of water and cups on each table. It was an hour/show started before anyone came to our table.3. Open seating earlier than one hour before show. That is too short of a window for that many tables to place food orders at one time. Kitchen couldn’t handle it. Took over an hour for food and orders were wrong. Nobody sent back cuz it took too long and we never saw a server again.4. Stock the outdoor bar and have bartenders. We went to the bar ourselves for drinks and missed big portions of show especially Since performers were only 3 minutes.5. Time to invest in better seating! Picnic tables are a bear to sit on for 2+ hours and you had to have your neck cranked to watch the stage. Nobody actually faces the stage.Great concept but need to work out the kinks. Including the ones in your backs and necks from the seating!!😂

We went to comedy night. Was fun by they are missing the mark on service. We were settled at 6 pm for 7 pm show. After an hour we finally snagged a waitress to put food orders in then took another hr to be served and food was Luke warm, like it was sitting for a while. Felt like waitresses dinner have specific tables. We’re told they werent our waitress, we ended up going to bar for drinks ourselves.Venue is great. Great outdoor area.They missed great opportunity to sell more drinks. At least partial bar with beer/wine should have been set up outside.

What a place! Had an incredible time seeing great music (Jason Ricci), a damn good burger, and plenty of cold draft beers.

Payed $32 for 2 shots of jäger bombs (Jäegermeister and Red Bull) absolutely ridiculous. Prices have tripled within 6 months. Will never go back.

Stopped in to check out the venue tonight. Bartender was to busy loading the dishwasher to serve me. Maybe have one of the waitresses help or consider adding a barback.

Hands down the best burger in town. I always order it w sweet potato waffle fries and an ice cold Coors Light. Check out the backyard. Cheese burger in paradise!!

I drove 60 miles to get there and was not disappointed! This place is a hidden gem! The owner and his wife a great folks, Tom welcomes everyone like family. The music venues that they are bringing to south Florida is top notch blues music. If you love the blues, go see Tom!

We went to Ben Allens Backyard Grill and Pub last night. We got there about 6:45pm and it was very busy. Which was nice to see. We started off with chicken wings and they were amazing!!!! Probably some of the best I have ever had. Then we each order our dinner. One stayed with the traditional Fig Burger that was on the menu when it was Brooks Burgers. I ordered the Penne Pasta with jalapeño sausage and blackened shrimp. And the other order was the Biscuit Chicken Pot Pie! All three meals were absolutely delicious. Portion sizing was spot on as we had some leftovers to take home. The vibe was great with the band playing, the service was top notch and the people watching was fun too! Highly recommend for those who have not gone yet or those who have tried it during their first few weeks in business and didnt care too much for it. They are getting it right and wish them much success in the years to come. Thank you for bringing such a fun, entertaining restaurant to this side of Naples!!

Family owned and operated business with great food, service and atmosphere. Entertainment most nights inside and also a patio are outside. Open jam night rocked!!

Ordered a Zs style salad because they claimed to have St. Louis provel cheese. I grew up in St. Louis for over 50 years and know this cheese. It is the best! The salad does NOT have provel cheese nor a cheese that tastes anything like provel cheese. Super disappointed in that alone. The salad itself is good tasting, way too much dressing so the salad was wilty. Does have good flavor with the chicken that was added. Lots of parmesean and some other unknown cheese. Just please dont get a persons expectations up for provel cheese when this clearly is not on the salad. Im not against the quality or quantity, just expected my favorite cheese in the world! Provel.

Service from Chelsea was second to none. It helps that the food was also amazing. In the area for work so the recommendations was excellent. A hole on the wall with a 5 star taste 👅 love it 😊

We had such an amazing experience! From the start, the appetizer of fresh garlic crustinis with blackened chicken was to die for! I ordered my 2 year old chicken tenders and they were cooked to perfection. I had the Cajun pasta and savored every bite. Crab legs were mouth watering and fries were perfect. Would recommend 100%

If you have not been here yet....you are missing out! The atmosphere is a lot of fun. Great live music (which was much needed in this area). The food is really really good! When we arrived last Thursday they were pretty busy. We were greeted right away and sat in a booth close to where we could see the band. Francisco was our server and he was super attentive. We started with the nachos and they were fresh and delicious. We ordered the Brisket and Hot chicken sandwich. Both were amazing. Zach the manager came and checked up on us to see how our meal was. It was nice to have a manager check up on tables and answer any questions we had. Overall great experience and we definetly be back. 👍🏻

Great brisket and service. I think the young man who was serving me was named Alexander, blonde fellow, attentive and friendly. Music was super loud for a dinner hour but was turned down a notch once another patron said something. Solid prices! Would return!

5 stars because the food was great (Caesar salad and sweet potato fries), beer prices were right, and our waitress (Michelle) was fantastic. She was attentive and friendly, playful with us. The atmosphere of the bar was fantastic, with a large back patio where we watched the Moonstone Riders.Loved our experience, but as early 30-something’s, we wish the crowd was a little younger and more friendly. Maybe some age appropriate line ups would bring in the Naples youth starving for somewhere to hang out and spend money?

Went to open mic night on a Monday evening. Very nice outdoor venue with clear views of the stage. Excellent sounding, talented, and versatile house band - Stone Coral band. Prompt, friendly drink and food service. Great happy hour drink prices. Was disappointed with my experience though. We were surprised by a $5 music fee added to our bill. There were no signs, postings, or anything on the website. Just beware!

Ben Allen’s Backyard is an experience. The live music was just right - we loved it! The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. You can watch them making your jiffy pop popcorn with bacon and bourbon butter. It all made for the perfect atmosphere for a family night out. And the food! Their burgers are not to be missed. The smoked brisket was wonderful (smoker on site), in fact the whole platter was unexpectedly good. The prices are family friendly (thank you!). 5 stars from all of us. We’ll be back soon.

We came for open mic night. Really fun place with a laidback and friendly atmosphere. Our bartender Laurie was so sweet and the drinks were delicious. The entertainment was great. Ill be back for sure!

Had a great time at the Jeremiah Johnson show this past weekend. I sat at the outside bar and was kept well hydrated by Julio. He and Alex did a great job as they had to wear many hats that night with a full house. Great venue. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

The live music was very entertaining and enjoyable. Hope to see them have a show in the back it looked very cool back there.

WeOrdered the brisket platter and a chicken quesadilla and onion rings, the onion rings were nothing to write home about and the quesadillas was tiny, the brisket was tough and full of fat. Don’t come here for the food, the he music was good though!

I love this place, the staff is amazing. I have a special taste for Hornitos tequila and they actually got a bottle for me and my friend the next time we came in. Had the Grouper Aioli Oli pasta and it was to die for!! Thanks Lori.

Been going here alot, but the cover charge has me looking for other places, I get a cover charge if you are just hanging around, but when I show up to eat and spend a decent amount dont charge me $5 a person, I got there at 6:15pm she said the band starts at 7 if your still at the table then I will go by and collect $5 per person. Thats nickel and diming so I need to rush? What if my food comes out at 7:05? the food is great, the outdoor area is great but when they have music inside the seating near the bar is crazy cramped I literaly cannot move my seat without asked the person at the table near me to move.

Its so nice having a place like this close to home. The staff is friendly,the food is good and the music has always been enjoyable. Try the smash burger, you wont be disappointed.

Not the Ben Allan Band place anymore but boy were we still pleased with atmosphere especially the outdoor patio area filled with plenty of outdoor tables, a stage, fire pit and grassy areas. The drinks were wonderful. We did not try the food this time but the menu did look good and was large.

They change their menu like their underwear 😡 They change the menu several times a week !! Not only that.... Customers are required to order all food and drinks at the bar and take a # 😳😮 I have never experienced such an undesirable dinner in my entire life.No one is a server anymore and I miss the personable attention.All I see is people being overworked and underpaid.

A group of us (3 couples) visited the restaurant after a friend had referred last evening. We found the menu pricey but hoped that the food would be equal to the price paid. One person ordered the grouper, it wasn’t grouper and was terrible. I ordered a burger and it was the worse I’ve had in Naples. My husband ordered a blackened fish wrap and it was so spicy that the fish became non existent. The others had a salad, a grilled cheese which the cheese was non existent and another fish entree. By far this was the worse food we ever had in Naples. Don’t waste your money!! Go somewhere else!!

Great place to here music, owner has a good band with a great selection of music. Has outside seating that would have been great had it not rained , but band came inside and played. Fun! Had a shrimp taco dinner thst was very good.

Went to ben Allen’s backyard for dinner and drinks. Hannah’s service was wonderful and food was even better. Such a wide variety of food options. We had a couple different campfire sticks, Nashville hot chicken sandwich was amazing. Also ordered the smoked chicken and it was so tender and flavorful. The server also cooked our popcorn right in front of us! Live music made the atmosphere that much better. Will absolutely be going back!

Great crowd & great time on karaoke night!

Due to all of the bad reviews we thought we’d give it a try, it really can’t be THAT bad we said. Well we went to hear Ben Clifford play and sing and he never sang there was a lady that sang everything. The food and service were fair and poor. We had wings which 3 of them we cut into were bloody…gross. The bacon wrapped shrimp were not served with any horseradish or honey mustard and were bland. Why didn’t we complain to our server Francisco you might ask. Well he never asked how the food was even when we asked for the check. We even left the bloody chicken wings right on the platter and he didn’t acknowledge us or them. The so called manager on duty stood at the hostess station and also NEVER acknowledged us. As much as we were looking forward to supporting this establishment we won’t again. It’s one thing to open a new restaurant and try to figure things out, but the bad service and extremely POOR management is highly disappointing.

Great concept poorly executed. Power drinkers pounding beers and shooting darts blocking the entrance. Can’t find the host to get seated for the party in the door. When we left an hour and a half later they are still pounding drinks and blocking the door chatting with staff at the bar and shooting darts.Bartender working her tail off with no bar back or other help.Gave our names and phone number at the door and we’re told it would be 15 minutes. 45 minutes later we had to go back to the host stand to ask about being seated. It wasn’t busy.Food was average to below average. Menu had several typos/mistakes. How hard is it to proof read a menu?We visited on Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday. Ironically they had several Cajun dishes on their menu, po’boys, red beans and rice, etc. but they didn’t know it was Mardi Gras.Music was good and it was nice to eat and enjoy a drink outside while listening to live music.Could be lots better under better management. Hope they get it right

There were six of us for an early dinner and they somehow lost the order for two of our party. We had to order at the bar. The food was ok, not great. We did not even get a receipt so we dont know if we got billed correctly or got that messed up like the meal order. One and done for us at this place.

Wow, so impressed. The owner and his wife, Tom and Laura, made a point to introduce themselves and the new vision they have for their restaurant. Live music every day and Sunday brunch. They even have cute boho chairs outside perfect for relaxing or pictures. I can’t say enough good things from their hospitality. Good people.

Food was awesome! We had the grouper tacos, prime rib and the nachos for an appetizer! Nothing left on the plates by anyone in our group.Chelsea our waitress was spot on with the drinks and food service. Will definitely be back!

Slow service, rude bartender, poor quality on food and missing side items. The quesadilla we ordered had more raw pepers on it than anything else. The bacon wrapped shrimp was super salty and oily. The drink we ordered had rotten orange juice in it, when we complained the bartender was rude and so loud you could hear her from the front of the restaurant. I will never go back for expensive items and poor quality.

Quite possibly the worst service and dining experience Ive had in Naples. Ended up walking out after waiting an hour for food (burger & philly cheese steak) and getting nothing but excuses. Very disappointing.

New owners and they are really trying. It appears that they cant find good wait staff because you have to stand in line at the bar to order your food. The owners are running food. The bartender is swamped. The food is great and the music is impressive. Hope they can hang on.

Karaoke tonight. So fun

Great burgers. Peter, our server, was just so nice. We were well taken care of. Would like to go back for some live music. Outdoor patio will open in a few weeks.

It’s turned into a dumpy location. The grouper wrap had almost no fish in it. The fries were from the frozen section at Walmart. The drinks were tiny. There was also a karaoke singer.Too bad it used to be a great location!!!

Music was fun. Waiter was nice we had nachos an drinks. Then ordered another round of drinks another appetizer. Drinks arrived. 2nd round of appetizers never arrived . After a long time we requested our check when entertainment took a break and left.

DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT FROM THIS RESTAURANTI ordered 2 burgers with bacon and other add-ons as well as shrimp po boy today. I got home and my family and I opened the food and were shocked to see that we received no bacon on our burgers, the shrimp po boy had no voodoo sauce, and the extra BBQ sauce I asked for wasnt there either. I then called the restaurant to talk to an employee and I was put on hold then hung up on and since I havent been able to call the restaurant and it goes right to voicemail.

Didnt eat but had a drink and watched the band. Great band and lots of ladies up dancing 💃. Will definitely go again 👍

Worst dinner ever! Took 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Tacos were cold and soggy with very little fish. Hope Ben Allen knows how bad his restaurant is.Server didnt care how our experience was even after we voiced our displeasure. Terrible!

The only thing good about this place was the music. Our food took a really long time and when it came out it was cold. The corn on the cob was ice cold. Service was slow. The server was not attentive to the table. Sat with an empty drink for quite a while. We will not be back. Very disappointed.

Good food, prices were reasonable.. it was loud,, yes I know, its a music kitchen! The tacos were great, shrimp in cream sauce with tortellini excellent but very rich.

Food is good, staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Here for Gary Hannan but what a treat to hear the owner Ben Allen sing. I own a restaurant and all I can say is support our local guy. Port of the Island crew. Wow!

Wonderful atmosphere, cold beer, great happy hour. I especially enjoy the bartenders like Hannah, Savannah, Jessica, Andrea and Rae they are all very nice and attentive! Would definitely recommend.

Most of the live entertainment at this place is phenomenal. They also play cover bands from the 80s and 90s and have special requests.

Really wish I could have posted more stars...but, not really impressed. Appetizers were very expensive for what we received. Shrimp & Lobster Fritters were good but, not at $10.99 for only 6. Fried Green Tomatoes also good but, again 4 slices for $9.99..seriously for 1 tomatoe.

This is one of the best places to eat in Naples. I had salmon fantastic!! Chicken great!!! Grouper Phenomenal!!! Strawberry shortcake Scrumptious!!!!will be back anytime Im in Naples. Good place to have Ben Allens name

Great food, cool bar. Service so so, had dinner there with a well known regular customer at bar. They only spoke to me twice, once for a beer & when I paid. Weird that staff only focused on my date & never acknowledged me for a refill, napkins or anything. :(

Great food and music!! Love the place and definitely will return; but, the outside area must start to stay open later- band was finished at 10--rather early for a Saturday night.

Cute place. Bathrooms smelled. Bar counter top was dirty when I sat down. Not just where I sat a large area. Food was awesome. I just feel certain things are important. If you cant keep your bathroom clean and smelling fresh. Thats a hidden problem.

I dined at Ben Allens Backyard Grill and Pub with my family. The food was amazing, the atmosphere has a fun energetic vibe, service was outstanding plus the live music is something South Naples really needed.

Slow service, limited menu. Had the muffuletta. Hey guys, don’t serve a muffuletta if you don’t know how to make one. Like eating a club sandwich on a giant dried out hamburger bun. The bread is everything! Husband had an average burger but pickles were forgotten. I guess live music is the only thing going for them. Heard it was nightly, but not on the night we were there. 😕

Burger was as good as we would expect from a Brooks burger. We were disappointed to learn that Ben Allen rarely appears at the restaurant that bears his name. He may do a concert here sometime in Dec but we never know for sure. Well probably go back to Brooks in downtown Naples.

Meal was incomplete management didnt care worst experience of my life and I worked as a waitress for years. Very sad for this new owner. I hope he treats other people better!

Perfect. Everything is perfect! Environment, decor, staff, prices, menu, food, clean ... clearly I really enjoyed myself!

Awesome place to eat, listen to music, and socialize! There were people dancing to the music and everyone was having a great time. The food is wonderful, especially the chicken pot pie. Check it out!!

Some of the best food I’ve ever had, the atmosphere was so inviting and all the staff friendly and so inviting. They have live music and karaoke apparently too. Naples needed this, definitely a nice place. Check it out.

I had alot of crab legs on a Sunday well listening to the great music!!!!

First time going ...sorta disappointed. Two of us ordered the brisket sandwich special. It was very tough and trying to cut it with a butter knife didnt help. Maybe it was the reheat thing or maybe I just caught the kitchen at a off moment. ..oh and the life size B.A. cut out stares at you the whole time. Sorta creepy

Very let down.They hardly have anything on menu.Drink menu is ridiculous! We went when they first changed over and were not impressed.We gave them a while..only to find they got worse!! I will NEVER go again! Save youre time & $ and go where they actually have a menu!! Ben Allens used to be great.They RUINED my neighborhood restaurant!

Wine came in a filthy glass(fingerprints and even a gaming lipstick stain), Brussels sprouts app was pretty good, we ordered three different entries and they all came bland, pasta tasted like wet mop. Waited for a while for the food too, and the place wasn’t busy.

This place has great atmosphere and music. The outside area is extremely nice and the food comes out in a timely manner and is delectable. I urge you if youre in the area to try this place out.

This place has gone down hill since the ownership change. They also changed the menu. (We always came here for some things on the old menu and they dont have those items anymore). We thought wed give them another try today, but our food was not up to what it used to be, plus it came out cold. (And they werent even busy). I doubt that well be back.

Played here, owner and staff were simply awesome. All you can eat fish fry on certain nights- cannot beat it.

Tomato Concasse was fantastic. Likewise, the Baja Pork Chop. The tab was a bit over the $50/person range, but that included the whole evenings bar tab.

Best servers great drinks and great new menus ! Definitely worth trying if you need a night out with music and friends

Went there on Thursday night and I must say it was the WORST restaurant I have ever been too. The pot pie was gravy over a old biscuit the ribs were burnt and covered up with bbq sauce. I still can’t believe I didn’t get I’ll. I am sure they won’t be there when I get back in January.

Came when it was Ben Alan’s (that was terrible) but its still the same dump with a different name. Hopefully the live music is good because the food isn’t. First time and last time.

Best thing that has happened in naples... The food amazing.. The staff made us feel so welcomed from time we walked in to time we left... The entertainment is a big highlight... Love it and we be back alot and ill recommend if you havent been there you need to go.....

They still have my favorite Brooks Burgers burger, The Western! And the Best fries and onion rings in town!

If you go early the warm up is not good. If you go later its hard to get a seat.

The place is excellent, good service and good music, the only recommendation is that the chicken wings this time were not even crispy ☹️ and they lacked cooking and the sauce I ordered was not Rach, it was another cheese sauce.
