I came here for the Live Music show. And what a show. The band was amazing. We requested very different songs and artist and they played everything perfect. They played Prince, Queen, Elvis, Tina Turner, White stripes, Dua Lipa, Amy Winehouse and everything we asked for. What a talented people! I will be back next time I will be in Pittsburgh. Thank you for wonderful night! Great selection of beers however I did not try the food this time.
We had a fantastic server Bre that was so attentive and helpful! We were celebrating a family event and everyone from my reservation through leaving at the end of the night was phenomenal!! I loved being a party of the Happy Hour. My whole family had a great time! I appreciate everyone’s kindness and help making our night so successful. The food was great. The music was awesome. Service was great!!! We had a great time!!!
Interesting drink selection with fun specials. The live music was wild in the past but has definitely calmed down over the years. Still has good spirit
Tonight was my first time there. I really enjoyed myself.I thought the music was good. I love the dueling pianos. It was a fun atmosphere, and everyone was there having a good time. Its definitely a place that I would go back to. The only negative part was it would have been nice if they had a menu with food.
The drunk selection is awesome! The music and musicians are incredible. It is truly one of the best places in the city! Highly recommend
I had my bachelorette party here and every single person in my party had the time of their lives!!! This is debatably a miracle for a group of 12 girls with 4 menstruating at the time. I honestly might have my wedding reception here….everyone was so nice. Shout out to the best bouncer in the world who killed gold digger and cleaned up my feathers all night! Another shout out the the woman working in the bathroom who gave the best life advice!
Always have a great time at Howl!! Natalie is so accommodating for groups and events. She goes above and beyond. Will definitely be back!
Had a great time but we payed different prices almost every time for the same 2 drinks, so I felt a little scammed.
Had a great time!!! Very expressive but a really amazing place. The entertainment was amazing. The staff is wonderful and the bar it’s self is beautiful. I definitely recommend this place just know you may spend a lot more money then anticipated. They don’t put prices on the drinks menu so you get a big surprise at the end but as a whole it was a wonderful experience.
Great piano bar experience. The performers did a great job at energizing the crowd. The staff is very nice.Their specialty drinks were super duper tasty, even the sweet ones weren’t *too* sweet. If you get a chance to attend the happy hour, do it!
Singers are amazing but they should let their talented people shine more.
Great variety of music played by an awesome house band! Fun atmosphere and good vibes all around. As 30 something I enjoyed an older trendy crowd as we arrived around 10pm. Felt amazing not to be the oldest ppl in the bar! Theet kids came around midnight. Drinks were delicious and prices were as expected for a downtown establishment
The bartenders had a hard time managing our tab, making it difficult to close out at the end of the night. The drinks were good, once they were made right. We had to request remakes of a couple. The pianist were great and we really enjoyed the vibe. All and all it was fun. I would definitely go again.
Always a great time. Male bartender was being a super big douchebag. Got mad because I ordered a lot of drinks and gave us warm shot glasses. Soft
I remember when dueling pianos meant dueling pianos. This is not it. So disappointed. However they do play music that gets the crowd going, it’s just not like New Orleans where the piano players egg each other on and really raise the bar for the crowd.
Not one for leaving reviews but collectively my entire group felt a certain way when we were at this bar . Bailey seemed like a dope person because she was smiling and having fun with her coworkers but when it came to giving service to people wanting drinks it’s like a switch flipped . My group was in town from out of state and we were here to open a new sports bar and a couple people in the city told us about this place and said good things . We came in on a Friday and enjoyed the live music but whenever Bailey took care of us it was just weird . None of our cards were grabbed nicely , felt like a snatch every time , was very short with all of us , no thank you or anything , on countless accessions it was the same repeated behavior . As industry people and corporate traveling trainers , we were mad disappointed .
The atmosphere of this bar was on point. There was a live band playing the night we were there and they were so, so good! They sang everything from Piano Man to Taylor Swift to Sweet Caroline to Whitney Houstons I wanna Dance With Somebody. Everyone had so much fun!
Terrible customer service. The head of security, Ronnie, was very rude and unprofessional. He does not know how to speak to a woman. There are way better options if you are looking for night life in Pittsburgh. Go somewhere else.
This is one of the most fun spots in Pittsburgh. Entertainment is awesome, drinks are varied, and the crowd gets involved. I love it here! Highly recommend! Note: I have never had food here, so I cannot comment on that.
The vibe here was great. Really enjoyed the happy hour we won and the team is great in making sure you have the best experience here and I definitely had a great time. I wish the appetizers were great but you wont regret a happy hour with your friends here. Will definitely go here again.
I always have such a good time here! Whether I come in alone or with a friend. The musicians are very entertaining. It has been awhile scents I was last in and I must say the Boncer/Vocalist is amazing! At first he was just chilen there by the stage, then he steps up there and the spot light is on him and this beautiful voice fills the room. Its perfect!
We had so much fun at this piano bar! Drinks were good, but a little pricey.Definitely seemed to be for a younger crowd, think college age.
We had an Awesome time on Saturday Nov 5! We booked a table in advance and it was worth it. Serving staff was great. And the entertainment was Awesome. Coule not believe the talent of everyone playing different music and the music never stopped! Especially fun with Jen dancing on the piano! Thank you. We will be back !
I loved the atmosphere of this place. The musicians sounded great and were really good at interacting with the crowd. They took requests and it seemed like they made an effort to include many types of music. The drinks were delicious! I had several fruit roll-ups! My only complaint is that we went as a large group and we all couldnt sit at one table together or move the tables together, which made conversation hard.
Been here a dozen or so times its always been alot of fun. Great talented musicians playing some good music. Had alot of great nights at this location definitely a awesome stop on your visit to downtown.
The worst bartenders you could ever encounter: The two girl bartenders tonight ignored the customers and just hung out laughing with each other and the cocktail waitresses while customers waited for drinks. Bartenders blatantly ignoring paying customers. Total joke of a bar with the service. The bar backs will give drinks to the people they know. Any person with management prowess would clean house at this bar. Amazing how bad the service is at this bar. The male bartender worse and just totally ignored the customers
So much fun!!! Paid for a table about a month in advance for a friends birthday, and couldnt have been happier! Service was great with Tatiana and Momma B in the restroom! The entertainment was top notch and didnt miss a beat!! Cant wait to come back!!
Great atmosphere, nice fun crowd and a fabulously talented band. We had a blast and would love to come back
Was great til they let the people in to completely pack the place on New Year’s Eve The reserved seating was good for about 2 hours before being swarmed by the mass of drunks that wanted to fight and push people around. Staff was great, food was good, but after the doors opened staff was nonexistent and was a battle to get drinks at the bar that was less than 20 feet from my table. Will never go here again. Ridiculous
Great place to hang for a drink and some music. The band is usually pretty good and the drinks are tasty. I recommend a margarita fish bowl. Theres a lot of special flavors and its good value.
What an awesome place! The music was fantastic. The people singing and playing the instruments did awesome. I’ve been to quite a few of these places and this was one of the best!
Amazing bar - a must for anyone visiting Pittsburgh. An extremely talented house band that does not stop, and everyone in the crowd having a great time. Was in town for a short vacation and went back the following night as well.
This place is an absolute blast! Cocktails are amazing and the performers are unreal. They take requests for songs and are always a ton of fun. The cocktails are also very fun and there is lots of variety. They also have someone walking around with jello shots all the time. Definitely go if youre looking for a fun and energetic evening
Good bar fun live music...however that being said. I gave a $100 bill to the bar tender and she gave me back a single dollar for two drinks. The total ended up as $19 for the drinks. I told her about it and she acted like she made a mistake..Definitely trying to take advantage of drunk people. Not cool.
Honest review....go in a big group and u will likely enjoy it. The bartender server and bathroom attendant were great. Drunks were adequate and for the location it was priced somewhat reasonably. Its located across the street from a parking garage making it convenient to get to. The downsides...and they are substantial...the venue is awful...its very uncomfortable...especially early when there are not many ppl. The bar is awkward...its like an auxiliary gym and some kids decorated it for a cheesy dance in middle school. Its a big square with a small var and tvd that dont accomplish anything due to how they are situated....the entertainment was average....They were very basic and a bit disappointing...sing sing was way better than this place...they played cheese music that really could not be danced to and they tried to be funny bit it actually was annoying. It would be fine for parties for younger kids...like 21 and under. Anyone who has been around the block like me would not be impressed by shower scrubbers hanging as decor...the stage is awkward as well as the arrangement of the tables. Which ate very low end. I wouldnt say its a bad place. I just wouldnt bother going back....also the person who took my reservations was really nice and informative. I think it needs remodeled and better sinfers and Id up a star or 2
This was such a nice piano bar! Me and my sister went out last night while visiting the city. We thought the atmosphere was sweet and quaint. All staff members, including the musicians, were interacting with me and my guest. All of the drinks were served quickly and the bartender was attentive.
Gimmicky and expensive. Great for a special event, I guess. Beware that if you sit at a table after you get a drink from the bar, waitresses will confront you about not buying drinks directly from them. But there’s no signs indicating that the tables have waitress service either?Staff gets rude, pushes in to patrons once the place gets busy because there is no room to move around the bar. They charge some people a cover fee and some not, NO idea what they base that on? Didn’t charge us a cover fee, but charged the guys in front of us.Expensive for buckets of mostly ice. Shots are expensive, everything is expensive. Best to pregame elsewhere and just go for the music, which is the saving grace of this place.
This place excelled well beyond my expectations as a man that hasnt gone bar hopping in over a decade... Great mix of people, really impressive musicians playing songs that entertained everyone. The two biggest things I liked to see was the bartenders were really friendly and the mens room had a bathroom attendant to not only add a more prestigious atmosphere but a sense of security. In the past, the mens room was typically where youd find a passed out guy on the floor, urine and vomit everywhere, some meat head ready to fight anyone with a pulse and everything, I mean everything, became a urinal. Not so with this added touch of an attendant. Big kudos to the owners for knowing how to run an establishment!
The atmosphere here was very awesome. The bartenders were on point. The bartender that was serving me was named Johnny and he kept me supplied all night long. I never saw the bottom of my drink when he was around.
Loved this place. It was appropriate for all ages! The music was non stop and covered a huge variety of songs and generations. The musicians and singers were on spot and full of energy. There was great crowd participation. You could join in on stage or watch from your seat. Both options are fun. I would suggest reserving a table to be sure you get one. You have to pay but you can use it towards your bill.
We are from Cleveland and didnt know our way around at all...came across this place on Google and decided to give it a shot. The atmosphere is amazing not to mention the bathrooms had absolutely anything and everything you need. The drinks are delicious., and if you still arent sold the live music just wraps up the whole experience in a beautiful way❤️
Environment was fun but they did not play requests as frequently as other piano bars Ive been to. Got there around 9pm and stayed about 2 hours waiting for them to play one of the 3 songs we requested and they never played them.
Came to a dualing piano bar and all we got was karaoke from 9pm-2am...The Howl at the Moon in Houston, TX actually had the pianos on the same stage and played back and forth. Will not be returning to this location but the drinks were mediocre.
Had so much fun here!!! The staff were all very nice, the band they had was great, the drinks were huge. Even the other customers were all very nice and friendly. Overall 10/10 atmosphere
So much fun! They can play everything! They were able to accommodate all 22 of us. What a great night!
Band is best live band I’ve ever seen in a bar ! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole night! So fantastic, so versatile as they all rotate and play all the instruments and sing ! Every song they sang not only did they sound almost exactly like the song artists but all of them together doing different things was just amazing to watch!
The musicians playing were fun and interactive which made the experience cool. The floors could have been less sticky but overall a great experience.
Fun bar with live music! Was an assorted crowd of ages but mostly seemed 20-30 bracket. Bar was huge and easy to get drinks. There was a bartender walking around serving large jello shots #delicious!
This was the perfect place to celebrate the bride to be! The buckets were amazing and of course the music! It’s crazy how much talent all the artists have my mind was blown at everything song they were able to come together and play. Such a great variety of music and all the staff was extremely kind and helpful with anything we needed. Definitely loved our waitress she was amazing and fast! And always keeping an eye on us for anything we needed. I definitely will be back again. I would say best place in the burg for entertainment and drinks for sure! Thanks for an awesome bachelorette party!
Now you cant have a bad experience here. Music is AWESOME. Play pretty much anything. Will take requests. Unfortunately there is no food on the menu. The giant fish bowl drink is great for larger parties. However, the drink prices are a little high. Bathrooms are attended and have sundries if you get the urge for a splash of cologne. Overall a great place for large groups and special occasions.
We chose Howl at the Moon Pittsburgh to host as an after party from our wedding rehearsal dinner for our close family and friends. Booking was so easy and we were very pleased with our experience. Our family and friends continue to talk about the great music and dancing! The group of us had fun dancing on the stage and will definitely be looking forward to coming back!!
I really liked the atmosphere. The drink wasnt the best, but the singing was decent and the musicians were very good. Id never been to a dueling piano bar that had other instruments instead of just the pianos. Ill have to go back another time.
Great music and a great atmosphere. Would have been a 5 star but Ron on the stage was extremely rude and made for awkward moments at times being inappropriate to certain customers. Customers were visibly uncomfortable and he took advantage of his position. Very disturbing and unprofessional.
Celebrated my 40th birthday party here and it was an absolute blast! Everyone from the wait staff to the singers was absolutely fantastic; it was an incredible time. I would highly recommend if youre looking for a place to hang out for the night or have a good birthday party this would be the place I would choose! Again, thank you to all the staff for being so gracious!
We had a great time, but it was extremely crowded and even though a friend of ours was hosting a happy hour we had to wait 30 minutes to get in. The music itself was great although we went on 80s night and less than 1/4 of the songs were 80s songs! Id still go again, just maybe on a less crowded night.
Arrived very early on a Wednesday and was surprised we were the only folks there. More customers trickled in and stayed as the evening wore on.Bartender was awesome and the musicians were extremely talented and interacted with the crowd very well. They took soooo many requests and did a great job with them. Outstanding!
The dueling piano artist were all really talented! They sang, rapped and played mutiple instruments. It was fun and they played most songs that we requested. We went on a Wednesday night so the crowd was kinda light but overall a fun night! Decent drinks...a little pricey!SN:the website says they sell food...They DO NOT!
Great performers, great entertainment, great party environment!!! Drink prices are not too bad either. Unfortunately, there is not enough seating, or tables, for the number of people who come in. It is a fairly small place but is very popular, not surprisingly considering the entertainment.
3 hours in after opening on a Thursday it was very dead there were 3 groups of people and it was very disappointing. I look up reviews and it seems like a great place but it was sad going for the first time and it was empty.I would suggest going when they are having events because that might bring in a crowd. The drinks were spectacular. I really enjoyed there sweet shots like strawberry short cake. The bartender was very nice though we were the only ones there at the time.I would go again just because how nice he was.
We came here because a friend won a free party. But once we got there we realized that they just give out free parties to everyone so that people come to the bar--a smart tactic in my opinion. They had free pizza which was one of the best things of the night. They had a lot of throwback songs which I didnt feel like I could dance to. Overall, it was not really bad or really good, just average for me.
I was there on a night loaded with talented local artist performing mostly covers in front of two grand pianos. The party vibe was out of this world. The atmosphere was such a breath of fresh air, and change of pace from people looking at their phones. The night peaked when a rocker chick sang My Own Enemy by Lit, while standing on one of the pianos. It was awesome. With that type of atmosphere, I could not have cared less if the food was good or how many types of IPA the joint was carrying. Well done, Howl at the Moon. Well done.
We had an amazing experience at Howl this past weekend. We were celebrating some big birthdays and the customer service was amazing. We reserved a table and it was a great decision. Great drinks, music, and vibe. Highly recommend. We will be returning the next time we find ourselves in Pitt.
This is a great place to have a night out drinking and dancing. There are two full service bars with reasonably priced cocktails and signature bucket drinks. There is live music and a small dance floor. The band is ok. The bartenders and waitresses are friendly and professional. There is a cover ($5 to $10) unless youre part of a big party. Make sure to book your party in advance to get a designated area. Otherwise, finding a table is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Drunk bartender, 45 minute wait to be told happy hour ended (was in line the 45 minites prior to it ending, but the drunk bartender kept serving the same 6 people over and over). Waiting at the bar, literally making eye contact for 15 minutes not getting served. Was able to hear the manager come over and say happy hour was over while still not being served. All this to not mention the health code violations from said drunk bartender.Came expecting a fun night and left an hour later, no drinks, and being told thats how it works when I said it was bs for being in line for 45 minutes then being told the tickets for drinks werent valid. Will never come here again. Worst bar Ive been to in Pittsburgh.
We had a blast here. We got the groupon that gave us $100 for $61, so the drinks became very reasonably priced. We worked mostly with Daryl, our bartender for the night and she was awesome. She even doubled as a performer on stage multiple times and generally had a pleasant demeanor that made the night extra special. The band was good, although the pianos didnt play as prominent of a role as I wouldve liked, drowned out often by electric guitar, bass, and drums. They did a nice job of covering popular music across decades, but part of the fun of a piano bar is hearing the piano version, not the electric/digital album version. It never got super crowded or empty, it was really a fun night. Natalie was also awesome in communicating with us before our visit.
Id booked with Howl at the Moon in order to make a great day for two younger friends of my fiancé and I. The four of us have been experiencing burnout in our jobs, huge amounts of stress and were missing our families, and they especially needed a night out. We ubered to Howl at the Moon so that we didnt have to worry about a DD, and I was expecting a young crowd vibe.I was hugely surprised and pleased at the all-ages and types vibe of the place. Titiana was an awesome server. The band was killer. The drinks were fabulous and Im pretty sure I had one of almost every cocktail you had on the menu (definitely the Something Sweet and Adios MF were the table favorites). I dont think we can possibly say how grateful we are for the establishments hospitality.
Favorite bar in PGHLots of drink choices to choose from. Mixed drinks are all delicious. Good beer selection as well.Very spacious with multiple raised levels. Plenty of options to sit or stand. Dance floor is large and lively.Live music is typically great.Bathrooms are well kept for a city bar. Very impressive.
I had my first visit to Howl at the Moon tonight. The visit was generally pretty good. The drinks were inexpensive, and the live band had an eclectic range of music for a fairly large audience. Its almost impossible to find a place to sit, though. If you do, try to find Mercedes as a server. What a gem!
Great entertainment. Dont order mixed drinks though. My cups were warm and they used mixers and had very little ice in my cup. Get there early if you want a seat. Absolutely loved the entertainment though.
They had a decent band doing covers, an decent-sized dance floor, and pretty good drinks. The drinks are pretty expensive though. Not dure how often they do it, but the night I was there (a Saturday night) they raffled off an 86 oz bucket if booze.
Howl at the Moon is the perfect place for big groups, birthdays, bachelorette parties, etc. The live band that performed was absolutely outstanding!! It was a tad over priced and its not necessarily as trendy as some bars that clearly cater to crowds in their early-mid twenties, but it was still a very great time. Again, the ensemble we saw perform was INCREDIBLE! Id come again just for them.
Hands down THE WORST mixed drinksI have experience stateside. The Cosmopolitan was straight cranberry juice and the margarita was simply awful. Draft beer was flat. Service was iffy at best.
The best bar downtown. The band knows an insane amount of songs, so pretty much any favorite you request will get played before the end of the night. Super friendly group and great performers.
Really weird crowd and mix of people. The bar tenders are not very friendly and its probably only fun if you go with a large group of people. I think this place only stays open from all the parties they give away paired with the suits that come out and shed their work clothes for late night fun.
The bar tenders were not friendly, and that was before even having the chance to tip. Literally threw the change at the couple next to me and that was after the other bar tender took my buckets and dumped them as I was trying to get refills, didnt speak to me just grabbed the buckets away. NONE of the songs that we requested were played, and we even paid to have them played.
Service was fast...music was hit or miss. Layout open well. Its a scene for Bachelorette and after happy hour frat type guys. Couldnt do more than twice a year.
Really fun place but would not consider coming with a group of people or deserving a table. I made a reservation for a table of 4 and had to pay 100$ when the table was tiny ,close to free tables and had no server. There was No room to move around and when I asked about the table I was told you will have the best with a lot of room and away from everyone. It was literally back to back next to 8 other tables. Ohhh and I was supposed to have a no waiting in line since I payed for a reserved table and I was told to get in the line after telling them at the door a few times that i had reservations they finally decided to let me in after allowing 8-10 people get in front of me.Goodstuff: the bathrooms were decently clean. The band that played was pretty awesome. The security was nice. The bartenders were good.Needs improvement to be the like the Houston location.
Had a wonderful time at this fun and upbeat bar. They have an awesome selection of specialty drinks and always have live music! They also do theme nights like 90s night and provide a very energetic atmosphere. Awesome place to go out in downtown Pittsburgh!!!
The performers were so much fun. Drinks were affordable. Very nice place to go out with friends and listen to live music.
I came here for a happy hour. I have mixed reviews.1. The music was amazing! That band knew how to work those instruments and sing songs from different genres2. My friends and I dont eat pork for religious reasons, and when we came here for happy hour they served two appetizers, both had pork or bacon in it! We were pretty disappointed. We could only eat the fruit and tomato sticks.3. Parking is hard to find during happy hour, and I wish they have lower tables and chairs for those that have trouble getting onto high chairs
This was our first time at this bar, it was fun. They had live music, good music, and good drinks. It was a nice crowd of people but they dont serve food, so we had to order a pizza and have them deliver it to us. Nice atmosphere.
We were very disappointed in this place. We were searching for a place like Sing Sing... dueling piano bar show. This place was nothing like it. At best it had a mediocre band playing requests all night. We paid $100 to reserve a table, had to park 5 blocks away and service was ridiculously slow. Sadly we drove an hour to try this place out. Super disappointed.
Everytime I go here is a great time. The atmosphere is incredibly fun. The staff are kind and thoughtful. The performers are outstanding! I even have fun being the DD here. Would recommend to everyone.
Such a different experience from other places. Very fun atmosphere where a house band plays your requests all night. The musicians can play all the different instruments! Absolutely amazing!
This is a staple for myself and friends who come into town. We will usually head out and about grab a bite and a drink and usually end up here. Staff is always helpful and surprising clean bathrooms. The band is always great. They play all the “Woo Girl” songs that everyone will scream and woo to. Have hopped up on stage a few times to help sing after a glass of water or two. Fun atmosphere to just let loose in.
This might be the best bar in downtown Pittsburgh. They have a great drink selection for everyone, but especially the ladies. They have tons of flavored vodka drinks and amazing beers. They have great staff to go along with great music and drinks. If youre having a bachelorette party, theres no better venue in town! Get down there and howl along with live music and great drinks!
Steven was AWESOME! Caleb, Patrick, Simon, and kylie were AWESOME! We lucked out and got the bar to ourselves and being here totally turned our night around for the best. High energy, fun atmosphere, great people! Will always stop by while traveling from Erie!!
The atmosphere itself was fun! The music wqs great! The vibe was good. Drinks were good! My friends and I had a good time. Wish it was a great time though. HOWEVER the bartenders lacked friendliness. I was hoping some of the reviews i read about the bartenders were false and it was just a “bad night” but witnessing it myself I tend to agree with those reviews. They didn’t smile, they were cold, and seemed to hate what they were doing. No matter outgoing myself or my friends were to them when ordering or receiving drinks, the bartenders were cold and lacked connection. I say connection because as a bartender myself, my favorite part is interacting with customers. Smiling, laughing, having fun. But tonight it was lacking. . My one friend tried ordering a water and was told “well that wont be a priority on my list” and continued to take orders from other customers. It took twenty mins to get the water. All because she wasn’t ordering alcohol for her next drink. Doubt we will go back. It was nice to change it up but sometimes the bartenders make or break a place. 🤷♀️
Amazing atmosphere. Dueling pianos were fantastic. And there is an attendant in the restrooms for anything you need
High energy, great music, excellent drinks, and waitress was great we never had to wait on drinks she checked on us frequently. We were there for a happy hour that a coworker won and I will definitely be back!!
The best piano bar ever....so many performers the music NEVER stopped. And Lauren our waitress NEVER stopped hustling all night long...she was awesome!! Cant wait to go back!
One of the best personal experiences here was the piano bat covering Eminems song. Its a decent place. Too loud though if you are looking for a conversation. But if its about getting drunk and shaking that booty, this isnt a bad choice. Besides the place has live music. The entry price might be a little unnecessary but thats a debate for another day.
The music is worth it alone. They are very talented musicians who know what songs to play when. The drink specials are good and if you win a party the admission is free.
I was here the night of December 18th and got absolutely HORRIBLE treatment from all the bartenders. My boyfriend and I stopped in for drinks. I was standing right next to him without a drink. A male bartender asked him what he was having and served him. I started to tell him what I wanted, and he just walks away while im ordering, and goes to help someone else. After waiting and being ignored by everyone for 5 minutes, a blonde girl finally helps me, but has the biggest attitude ever. The whole time she had a dirty look on her face, she constantly was rolling her eyes and talking quietly. Now, im looking at my account and was charged incorrectly by this girl - so ill be contacting my bank. NEVER AGAIN will this place get my business!
The cocktails have very little alcohol and they dont have a very diverse knowledge of music. Ill put it this way: they know Sweet Home Alabama, but dont know Southern Man. Their happy hour thing they do is pretty neat though and I always have a good time.
Great atmosphere and the band was extremely talented. I was impressed with the range of instruments they could play.
A nice big piano bar with requests, dancing and stage entertainment. They have a $3 coat check and it can get quite crowded and loud inside. Grab a $20 specialty bucket of alcohol and enjoy yourself!
Really dark stairs leading up to the bar I wouldnt be surprised if they have customers falling down them all the time. Bartenders both on their phones the whole time The band playing was the only good thing about the place
Fun place with a party atmosphere and live band. Crowd suggests songs that are played via tips and slips. Musicians are very talented. The pitfall is most people suggest the same popular hits, so repeat visits can seem like reruns.
The best place to go in the area, came in from WV for my Birthday. Its a hot spot for locals locals visitors. Saw the owner and she definitely runs it like its the California Universal City walk Howl at the moon. I had a great birthday here. A must when visiting Pittsburgh. Uber there for sure.
Super fun bar! They play 90s and early 2000s music mostly. Lots of dancing upfront, two bars with chairs and a few tables. Small cover fee on the weekends. Try their buckets!
Fun place downtown. Good music, interactive musicians. Always a good crowd on weekends. Fun place to either chill and listen or drink and dance
Solid bar with live music that hurts your ears and serves gigantic drinks. Lost a star because the all you can eats were so-so and huge drinks too sweet - reminded me of freshman year at the frats with Koolaid punch. Wait staff terrific.
Great band my night in attendance
I’ve been to many dueling pianos and even Howl at the Moons and this one was a bit different, in a good way. You could sit down and really just watch the show. Most dueling piano bars you get into the whole back and forth, which of course is the “dueling” part of what you go for. But this one took recommendations and the monetary donations but kept the music and fun going. The female singer was unbelievable. And all of the performers played guitar and then drums and then piano and sang. Jealous of their talents.
There wasnt a lot of room to hang out. They have VIP tables saved for people that never showed up. We were told at 9p we could have the tables, but they still kept them covered. Sucked for the waitress because she lost 4 tables. Poor customer service. Will NEVER return!
Good atmosphere not just a piano bar, they have a full band that gets involved with the crowd, its a lot of fun. Drink specials are great if you have a large group.
Love it! We had a great time with the girls on my Birthday.xxxxx Definitely will be back..the only one issue has arised with the food order from the closest pizza place. We called liked 27 times there!!! and when I said about that to our waitress that we were looking for a help, she just spreaded her arms widely and said oh, sorry! Really?! Later I ask her again if she could advise us anything and she gave us different pizzas place phone number...we were saved! Finally got an order..🙂🙂
Pros- super fun !!! And the band was REALLY good/entertainingCons- paying a bathroom attendant to give me paper towels, $16.50 for 2 regular ol mixed drinks and a cover charge. All in all, Ill go back but it IS overpriced
Went for a bachelor and Bachelorette party first time there and loved it. Good crowd. Good fun music and the singers sounded good.
I liked it. I could dance and have fun with my Friends. Sometimes it is allow to up on the dance stage to dance. Actually, it is very fun. One thing I didnt like was the fact that sometimes they revoke the permission to up on stage.
The music was too loud. Which would have been okay if it was good music. I dont know if we just went on an off night our something, but everyone was off key, and there were poor transitions between songs.
Drink selection is good enough , sports on the TV , and as an update to my last review six months ago, I can say that the sound quality is still pretty rubbish . Fun atmosphere for birthdays and Bachelorette parties though .
Great cover band, they know pretty much anything you can throw at them. Drinks are reasonable, and they have a good variety. The parties you can win are fun too!
Ive been there for drinks and a good time quite a few times and it never disappoints. Probably one of my fav places in Pittsburgh.
Happy hour was so much fun. The performers were extremely talented. Great, convenient place to get you in the mood for the weekend.
Very fun place to be! I went as a guest to a birthday party and it was SO much fun! The band was incredibly talented and very quick to change up their playlist
Awesome place to check out! Live band is amazing and will play requests. Amazing atmosphere! Drinks can be expensive, but definitely worth it for the music and dancing!
Went here for the first time recently to celebrate my birthday as well as St. Pattys day. It was a very successful celebration and the service, drinks and musical performances were all a big part of that!
I recently attended a friends party at Howl. The atmosphere was great. The music was ok but what really made my night was meeting the girl with the mohawk. I think she goes by the name Moey. Her down to earth and energetic personality was great. She really made me feel welcomed. I would go back just to hang out and talk to her. For this reason I will give Howl 5 stars ! #TeamMoey....
Its ok if u like coverband vibe not that they werent good just wasnt for me. I didnt stay long
The bar was poorly stocked and the drinks were all sugar bombs. It was an OK place to hang out, but nothing special. I didnt order anything because there wasnt anything that interested me.
Entertainment was insulting. Girl in pink skirt is soooooooo untalented. Do not go
My brother won a happy hour party. We got a bunch of people together, and drank and danced until we couldnt any more. Drinks are dirt cheap with the specials on.
Visiting from Orlando where we have one also this one is smaller but the band is awesome and the drinks and strongggggggg
Overall, fantastic night! The musicians are VERY talented! If youre looking to dance, sing your heart out, and let loose on a Friday night, this is the place for you!
Absolutely awesome vibes! The band was amazing. They can play virtually any song upon request. Great atmosphere.
A unique bar where the house band can play any request. Lots of dancing and fun and two full bars to meet your adult beverage needs. Come and see for yourself!!
There was live music the night I was there as well as great bartenders. Lots of fun
We had a blast! The band had us metaphorically howling at the moon while they played everyones favorite songs.
Swindled of a $5 cover per head because the doorman saw cash in my wallet and not the person before me. Let a person without cash in. Lacking service inside, had to get a water myself, and drinks for friends in the end. Server took the menu from me without asking if we would like anything.Cleaning staff wont leave you in peace and will ask you to leave. Disgraceful.
An absolutely fun place with such talented musicians. It was a very great time and Ill do it again soon. And the drinks were stellar.
This might be a place for you if you are used to extremely loud noise and highly congested space due to overpopulation. I prefer a bar setting where I can talk with friends. Another negative is the cover charge for entry.
Great place for a fun night out; usually a live band with good selection of music. Not filled with college kids; laid back and very enjoyable.
Interesting place, but not a place for everybody. Crowd isnt mixed at all on fridays. Drinks are average, staff average. Too much hassle. Concept good, but not great.
Atmosphere was pretty nice. Two many Bartenders, No Customer service. You couldnt even ask a question!! Music was cool.
I spent my first Friday Night Out here.. it was Awesome.. great drinks great company great music.. I had a blast. Thanks Howl at the Moon for a wonderful night..🍻🍹 here is to more Friday Nights
Came back again because this place is such a good time. I will now make a point to come here every time Im visiting Pittsburgh. Good drinks, fantastic music. Its impossible to not have fun here
Great piano bar. The band was great! Had a really great time. Yummy drink specials. Very helpful staff.
Cool live performance, liked the vibe and decor. Bar is pretty expensive and wont honor putting a good amount of liquor
We had a great time! The staff was very friendly and incredibly accommodating. From beginning to end everything was awesome.
This is a bar with live music and a house band who takes requests . It is a great time, you can even have a birthday party here. Lots of fun.
Loved the entertainment! Wish they had food!
It was OK $32.00 for a bucket 95% full of ice ridiculous. Entertainment was nice. Did not stay long, no food.
Never have had a bad experience here! Drinks are good and the space is decorated nicely. The house band never ceases to impress me!!
Best spot to go out dancing in pittsburgh if you like live music!Edit my friends girl friend got assaulted by a guy and the staff refused to do anything
Great bartenders and excellent management
Energetic bar with great staff and good tunes the 2 nights I was there.. Thanks for making my visit to Pittsburgh better
A real good time with friends seemingly less crowded than the one in Louisville. Multiple bars and plenty of seating for when youre tired of dancing.
Great crowds for 30 and up. Seniors are also welcome.
House band with dueling piano setup. This has to be one of the most enjoyable bars Ive ever been to, really fun environment, friendly staff, overall amazing place to hang out
Mercedes, our waitress, was great. Such a fun time! The band is great and the place to be for those who love live music
So much fun! Great performances with a fun song selection, awesome drink deals and just a fun atmosphere!
A nice piano bar with very courteous employees at every level. The crowd is also mature and respectful of each other!
Great time! Service was great. Nice to see a variety of all legal ages and not just early 20s. Many bachelorette parties and birthdays!
Fun place to sing along with friends. Reasonable cover charge and drink prices. Place gets hopping about 10:30 -11:30
The virtuosity of the performers is awesome! Highly recommend Howel at the Moon as a fun place to listen to fantastic live music.
Great place overall. Love the live entertainment and the jello shots!
Over charges even though the person beside you say that was their order
Not a big fan of all of my favorite songs sounding like folk songs. They do offer free parties to people via their raffle contest.
The live band, the bartenders, the drinks, it was exactly the kind of vibe I was looking for. Amazing all around, definitely my new favorite!
Atmosphere was ok the staff wack bartenders wack drinks 🍸 wack way to much first time last time
The place is good, but on the day we went the band playing was not so great . With the right kinda music you will surely enjoy the place.
Lots of fun and entertainment!!! The Halloween parties the last couple of years have been amazing!!!!🎃👻🎑...great beer and drink selection too.
Had a great night out here. Live music was nice and the crowd was lively! Definitely going back again!
Beautiful venue. Pleasant and alert service. Unique drink menu. Awesome live entertainment.
The musicians were great, was a quiet night though so it lacked a little in atmosphere, still good fun though!
Fun atmosphere service was good drinks were reasonably priced for the type of venue
Best service nice bartenders even the one who looked down on us. We may be scum but the booze was AWESOME
Fun bar but the waitresses 👎, make sure to order from the bar directly or youll never get a drink or be able to close out.
This place is a must go the band is awsome and so is the staff drinks a little pricey but the live entertainment makes thos place
Fun spot with awesome live performers! Staff is helpful and attentive. Well be back!
Fantastic and fun place. The cocktails werent life changing but the experience more than made up for it
