Whiskey Bs Bar and Kitchen

I have been craving a Monte Cristo sandwich forever so when I saw that Whiskey B’s had it on their menu I just had to try. We stopped in for lunch after an appointment dahntahn. The weather was pleasant so we opted to sit outside. Our server was very friendly and witty, I ordered the Monte Cristo, my guy had the Cheesesteak and we shared the Truffle Fries. Everything was delicious and the portions were large. I enjoyed my experience here and recommend.

We ate here and had a great time. The people working here are very customer oriented. The food was very good and the atmosphere was fun. We were visiting from out of town and I look forward to visiting this restaurant again

Dined here with my wife this evening for a spontaneous dinner out. Food was tasty and the atmosphere was decent. Drinks were good, but the happy hour cocktails were served in half-full glasses. That said, we wont be back.The restaurant charges a 3% surcharge on all credit card transactions and automatically adds a 20% post tax tip. Our service was fine, and my plan was to tip 18%. There is NO disclosure on their menu (nor disclosure from staff) that they automatically add a 20%+ tip to every check, so be warned. Had I been told in advance or seen this automatic gratuity policy on the menu, we would have dined elsewhere. Personally, for a party of 2 people in a non touristy area, I find the practice shady. I am not happy to be writing this because my wife and I live downtown and like to dine out in the city. However, there are plenty of better restaurants with more transparent business practices to choose from.

First I want to start off by saying Megan was a fantastic waitress, she was quick and personable! The entire vibe of whiskey B’s is 10/10! This place is incredible! We got Bao Buns, Cantaloupe cocktails, WDCW burger with truffle fries and to top it off The strawberry funnel cake! Everything left such a unique taste! 10/10 experience!

Morgan was so great! She was by herself and still managed to hold everything down. The wings and burgers were great. Can’t forgot the truffle fries! Meghan the GM stopped by our table to make sure everything was satisfactory, she was also great. We will definitely be back for happy hour and more food! Thanks whiskey bs.

Great spiritual successor to their burger themed predecessor. Stranded burger is faithful to the Shipwreck before it. Shishito peppers are a very tasty side too.Glad to have them back as a regular lunch spot in Market Square!

Me and my lady went here a couple days ago and I must say their food was amazing especially for the price. I would highly recommend the truffle fries paired with the stranded Burger my personal favorite was that we don’t care whatever burger which is spicy, but I like spice. The bartender was Exceptional I believe her name was Megan. Great craft cocktails and our server killed it as well. I believe her name was Erika. There was a gentleman who goes by Jio that was very gracious and assisted us with whatever we needed as in our waters were never empty, and our drinks were always full. If you Are in Market Square I would highly recommend visiting the spot. Hands-down, the best place to go to in Market Square. It’s right next to the Starbucks on the corner. I am a bartender myself and I saw how the bartenders work they’re very efficient and they get the job done. Specifically a lady named Cameron was also excellent but all the staff was great, Joe the Chef knows what he’s doing and can make a damn fine meal I believe the other gentleman‘s name was Ryan working with him and he also killed it, the prices are decent and the food very very well priced for what you’re getting. Large portions at a very acceptable price and you will want to be coming back for more. The only thing I think they can improve is being open forever all night every day all the time because I would be there every day. Try the spot out and you will not regret it. Guaranteed.

If you know of this location as Wingharts, and miss those hearty burger and savory fries… imagine this as Wingharts in a tuxedo! This place is quant with a cool vide. We were here on the first weekend it was open. Fortunately for us, at 5:30pm on a Friday they weren’t busy. We had the whole second floor to ourselves. We got to have great conversation with sisters Morgan and Maegan, the GM, while they made our cocktails. This unique bar menu serves your classics with a twist. My husband enjoyed “The Classic” old fashioned with Woodford whiskey, Demerara, and bitters and “Granddad Goes West” with scotch, orange liquor, bitters. I enjoyed the “Mezcalberry Mandalorion” which was mezcal, strawberry basil, and lime. We had already eaten dinner so we just got some appetizers to much on. We picked truffle fries, and fried brussels sprouts mixed in Korean BBQ. They were both delicious and we will be back tomorrow while we’re still in town to try more food and cocktails. We were very excited and happy to hear this is managed and owned by the same team as Wingharts.

Great place with really neat decor, a great bourbon selection, and a really delicious burger 🍔. The location is convenient to all of the downtown hotels. A sure spot to return to when were back in town.

The server/bartenders almost seem annoyed that they have to serve…Our starters (pork bao buns and they were DELICIOUS) came out with our food. So we waited a WHILE to finally eat. One cocktail. Never actually checked on how the food/drinks were. My mom loved her wings, but my steak frites was underwhelming. Fries were clearly an afterthought and it was just bland.

They have a new drink called “inexperienced” it is my new favorite cocktail. I just wanted to keep drinking them. The whole experience and atmosphere was great. I can’t wait to go back!

The food was absolutely delicious! Much better than expected! Had the Black Manhattan and it was fabulous! My daughter has the Spoonful of Sugar and it tasted like a Lemon Drop. The grilled chicken in the Pittsburgh Salad was really tender and delicious. I had the Breakfast Burger and it was awesome. If you are in Market Square, put this on your place to visit.

This was an awesome atmosphere and experience! The food was so amazing and we loved our waitress/bartender Megan. She was absolutely amazing with the drinks, service and smiles! We will be back! DONT MISS OUT ON THIS SPOT!!

We went on a Sunday evening with a pretty large group. Chris, who was the sole server/bartender, managed to keep track of things, make sure everyone was taken care of, and somehow manage what seemed to be an unmanageable situation.The few people who were working were pleasant, served great food, and good cocktails. Would definitely go again.

Place was dirty, didn’t like the salad, paid anyway. Server did not attempt to resolve the problem and quickly brought check even though we did not ask for it. We were pushed out while still finishing our drink. The place was not busy and had several empty tables. Wanted to try something new downtown, We will not be returning.

Megan was an exceptional waitress and si sweet! She was so much FUN and the food, drinks, and atmosphere were awesome! My husband and I had a great time and will be back!

Stopped in for an early dinner before the hockey game. Loved the downstairs set up. Atmosphere was hard to judge since it was very early but it picked up as I wrapped up. Staff were helpful and balanced being attentive and leaving alone to enjoy the food and drinks. Loved the new spring cocktail - like old fashioned lemonade but with a kick. Would come back.

While the first floor may be a bit small and weirdly proportioned, the food is amazing for a surprisingly low price, the staff are polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is modern but comfortable. Honestly one of the best places Ive been to in the 9 years Ive lived in PA. Thanks guys. (:

We loooooovvveeee it here! So we Stumbled across this place back in February a week after they opened and have been back 4-5 times since then. Megan the manager has the most amazing hospitality. The food is always on top tier. And the atmosphere is always super dope. A must visit eatery.

Great food, fun music and awesome cocktails. Ordered a Bees Knees off menu and Meghan made hands down the best Bees Knees I’ve ever had. Looking forward to coming back next time I’m in Pittsburgh. Was too hungry to grab pictures of the food, but Bao Buns were excellent.

First time - wish it were better, the food was affordable and good but not a wow. This location must be a challenge we have been to several different versions. The cocktails were the big draw and they didnt disappoint.

I had the most wonderful time at Whiskey B’s! I’m a pretty picky eater, but my server (major props to Gio!) recommended the Stranded Burger and I was in heaven.I love the atmosphere, as well as the cocktail selection, which has something for everyone. Service was quick, fast and very friendly and inviting!Will be making this my weekly stop for Happy Hour!

I truely don’t know how this place have a 4.7 rating Came in on a Sunday June 16, 2024 couldn’t sit upstairs because there was only 1 server the 1 server was serving and bartending they have a host that doesn’t even completely under stand English she did try to help but didn’t know the menu or what they had. We understood it was going be slow because one server the server said she’ll be right with us never came never got offered us a drink after a hr but was taking order for people that came in after us. Maybe cause it was because we were black which is crazy because the waiter was black but never non the less fried pickles was good that’s all we ordered then left and went to city works. Owners need to step in and take control of their business times like this but yea give it a try or NOT.

Feel like short staffing and unsatisfactory service is a common thing I honestly think you as an owner should be in there helping ur servers if this is a common problem not to mention if the food is that bad made you should rethink your tactics and distributors. We had horrible service not to mention I called to complain and the lady who was so rude to my friend who ended up being the manager gave me to same excuse as most of these reviews are saying “they are short staffed. They are busy” . Just because you’re busy and short staffed doesn’t mean you get to be rude to customers. Especially when someone is trying to help you clean their mess up. In all honesty I would either retrain all of your staff in hospitality or just get a whole new staff who know what they are doing because I will never be returning and absolutely never recommending this place to anyone what so ever.

After a full hour, we finally received 3 of our 5 dishes. After another 15 minutes and finally flagging down our server, we knew the rest were never made. I won’t even get into the ridiculous wait times for water, drinks, or food, lack of service, or unnecessarily loud music. But hey, they took the missing dishes off our bill and gave us a gift card for a free app! (sarcasm) So, if you hear your server mention ‘we are short staffed’ or ‘we’ve been sooo busy’, bail as quickly as possible!!!

Me and my boyfriend love trying new places and we stumbled across this place. the vibe of the place was so laid back and chill, the service and food was insanely good. best burgers we’ve ever had forsure. our server megan was so so sweet and personable. the cocktails were 10/10!!

Every experience I have here is phenomenal! I have been to Whiskey B’s numerous times, so I booked my moms birthday dinner because every experience has been above and beyond expectations. The management and service made sure we had the best time that night. Whiskey B’s staff goes the extra mile for their guest’s experience. I will be returning frequently and will continue to recommend this to all my family and friends.

Meghan is fantastic!!! We came in for the first time and returned two days later. She remembered our drink orders and suggested food that turned out to be on point.

We stopped in for lunch after a tour of Pittsburghs downtown area and had a wonderful experience. The vibe was classy but comfortable. Our server was Megan and she was on point with our drinks, starters and food. We tried the Bao Bao Buns as an appetizer and I immediately wished we ordered two servings. Absolutely delicious and the texture was like a squishy dream! I had the chopped cheese sandwich and an order of fries and loved everything. Cant recommend Whiskey Bs enough and well definitely be back!

Staff is super friendly and accommodating! Signature Cocktails are the bomb! The 4pm-6pm happy hour prices on drinks and apps are exceptional ! Very much would recommend Whisky Bs to anyone interested in trying them out!

I order the Buffalo wings yo go (only have 30 m8nutes for lunch) and asked if I could get them extra spicy. She went down and asked the kitchen, came back and they said yes. I waited 20 minutes for the wings and they forgot my extra blue cheese, so she went down to get it and it took her 10 minutes. I got back yo work late but aye the wings that were NOT spicy at all and certainly not extra spicy. Because they WERE delicious perfectly cooked, I will order them again.

This was our first time at Whisky B’s. The vibes reminded me of a speakeasy, very dim lighting and intriguing cocktails. The food was delicious- from appetizers to entrees. Absolutely will come back again, especially with the wait staff being so approachable.

We sat on the patio and Meg was our server, she made the experience, she was so cheerful and knowledgeable, and was on top of everything. The best is the kitchen was open until midnight. Dont sleep on this place!

THE BEST. Whiskey Bs is warm and inviting. The lighting creates a cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a casual night out with friends. Morgan and Maegan helped us. They were both exceptional at their service. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a welcoming attitude. They were both knowledgeable about the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring our glasses were never empty. My time at Whiskey Bs exceeded expectations. I highly recommend.

Stumbled across this when looking for a bite to eat before a show at Heinz Hall. It being Tuesday, many other places were closed or had a long wait. Despite only having one front of house staff (!) and being out of many beverage options, we were served quickly and the food was EXCELLENT! Much better than we anticipated. The place is small, and its new so they are still getting their footing, but kudos to the manager who hustled so hard to making sure everyone had what they needed (she was hostess, tending bar, server and busser). Salmon was perfect, Caesar salad was on point, the drinks they did have were excellent.

Megan was a ROCKSTAR. Today was one of the busiest days of the year and she was killin it. She was running the show and well definitely be back because of her! The food was incredible (I recommend the Chopped Cheese sandwich!!)Happy Pickle Day!Music playlist was a little all over the place lol

Monte cristo was not a monte cristo. Theirs is French toast with meat and cheese in between. However, spicy fried cheese and truffle fries were very good. Bartender could’ve been better, she was not that busy and I had to get things myself. And clean my own table

My husband, daughter , and I did take out from Whiskey Bs today. We were very excited to try a new restaurant as we often order from The Yard. To say we were underwhelmed would be an understatement. My spouse and I both had the chicken sammy. The chicken itself was ok, but the coating was burnt and thus ruined the taste. My daughters impossible burger was dry. We also had the bao dumplings and altough the filling was tasty there was very little of it.Not sure if we will give this establishment another chance.

What a TRULY amazing dining experience. I can not even explain how much fun it was enjoying amazing food and drinks with my friends at this beautifully created establishment! BEST burgers in tahn - and they ain’t kiddin! My favorite is the stranded burger paired with the famous white truffle aioli fries! Great atmosphere and amazing staff. Enjoy a beautiful day out on the patio with great happy hour apps and drinks for just $5! Also they are one of the only restaurants downtown that kitchen is open everyday until midnight! Hands down one of my favorite places to go.

We just stopped in for a couple of drinks. The bartender was nice, the drinks were good but very expensive. We paid $40 for two drinks here.Its a tiny place, they may have a second floor but I couldnt tell.

I miss Wingharts dearly, but Whiskey Bs is a welcome replacement. Went for lunch recently and the service was quick, food came out super fast (was delicious, too). Overall it was a great experience and I will most definitely be back!

We came to this hidden gem on a Monday evening for my birthday! The restaurant is beautiful and clean! Ryan was our server, he was excellent and very attentive.We started with Garlic soy & Whiskey B wings, Brussel sprouts, truffle french fries and the mac & cheese. Each item, cooked in unique sauces were very flavorable. For our mains we had the Salmon dinner and Blue cheese Burger. One word decribed all the food DELICIOUS! We will definitely be back.

The food was not great. I got the Cubano sandwich and the bread was burnt and everything else was kind of flavorless. I expect the pork and ham bring some good flavor on a Cuban and there was bland. My buddy got the standard burger. He ate half and didn’t want to eat the rest because it wasn’t good.

Something about this place is special! The Cocktails are perfectly made with the freshest fruit. I had the sweetest bartender ever and the food was phenomenal. Fried green tomatoes and steak Caesar salad!! Uhh YUMMM!!!

Expensive prices for subpar food. Ordered spicy cheese and they were ok. Jumbo fried shrimp appetizer is $14 for 4 shrimp that were clearly from a pre-frozen bag; you know the type that are butterflied flat and has a hard crunchy coating. $15 mac n cheese that my 8 year old even said wasn’t cheesy or worth it. $12.50 for 6 wings. They were too huge and just not good. Thats over $2 per wing-ette because they are not whole wings. To top it off, I asked for some ranch and the waistress said “sure”; only to get the check and it was an added $1 for ranch. Gratuity automatically included for a party of 3. Thumbs down.

Came here on a date night - I legit had the best time. The staff is interactive and not intrusive. Very knowledgeable. I felt at home, here. We split the Fire Burger (delicate creamy flavor with a heat that snuck up on us), and also the Whiskey B’s Burger (had a great mixture of bacon, mushrooms, and whiskey sautéed onions). Both burgers cooked to a perfect Medium Rare. They will cook burgers to your liking.Came the next night, Morgan was our bartender. We came for cocktails and late night bites. Cocktails are always a hit, and so are the bites.Ryan, the lead bartender, treats everyone with respect and will make you whatever you want.Ok, rant over. This place is great.

Bar had amazing service and vibe to it. Favorite cocktail of the night was the Inexperience amazing tequila summer cocktail!! Went down well with Nashville chicken sandwich.

So disappointed in my experience. Was never handed a menu when we were seated and they forgot about us. We waited for 20 min and no waitress/waiters came to us. Will not be coming back.

For $16 dollars you get just the sammy chicken sandwich with no fries or chips. The sandwich is not worth the money when you can get a better sandwich at Burger King.
