Spavia Day Spa - Ridgewood

I love Spavia! Crystal greeted me right away and was so helpful in getting me ready for my facial. Vicky was an amazing esthetician and I had such a wonderful experience. It was so very relaxing and she addressed all my skin’s issues and concerns. The spa was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely go back again!!!

Connie was amazing ! Made me feel so comfortable and relaxed for my prenatal massage . The service was immaculate! I will be returning and recommending her and this location to everyone I know . :)

My sister and I were so excited about our Sister Day @ Spavia Ridgewood, envisioning a retreat from the mundane into a realm of pampering and rejuvenation. Alas, our hopes were swiftly shattered upon encountering Crystals frosty reception. Her lack of warmth was palpable, setting a dismal tone from the outset.Completing the paperwork felt more like navigating a labyrinth without a map, as Crystal left us stranded in the locker room without guidance. We were left to fend for ourselves, forced to venture outside in search of basic instructions.Thankfully, Stacey emerged. Her warm welcome and thoughtful gestures momentarily revived our spirits. Yet, any semblance of solace was short-lived. My therapists delay of over ten minutes and subsequent rushed session left me disoriented and dissatisfied.As I emerged, belatedly, from my treatment, the stark reality hit me—I was out of sync with my sisters experience, disjointed by a staggering ten-minute lag. While she sang praises of Staceys excellence, my encounter with Vicki fell far short of expectations.Dressing in silence, settling the bill mechanically, we departed with a bitter taste of disillusionment. Our Sister Day had transmuted into a disheartening saga, leaving us questioning, What just happened? @Spavia Ridgewood was not the oasis of tranquility we were looking forward to.

We had a disappointing experience. The place was fine and massage was good. My problem was with the fact that I prepaid for a gift card for a specific massage but at the end I was asked to pay extra. The explanation was that I had to pay tax. Ok, everyone has to pay tax BUT it better be included when you prepay for a gift. It is simply embarrasing to gift someone a service and have them pay extra when they arrive. Totally unprofessional. I talked to the manager and she explained that taxes are different in every state. Maybe that explanation worked when internet just started 30 years ago but today every little shop knows how to calculate taxes. Spavia, get your act together.

I look like a beautiful glazed donut. Vicky was so informative and sweet always checking on me to make sure I was okay. Her service was so perfect. I 10/10 recommend coming here and I will definitely come back.

The worst! Please don’t waste your money here. No email confirmation no txt confirmation and when I called for help with my appointment she laughed at me. So if you want better service go elsewhere!

Entering Spavia, I immediately felt a sense of relaxation and peacefulness. It began with the warm greeting from Crystal who helped me to easily navigate my account and the treatment I would receive. The atmosphere is very soothing and provides a distinctive comparison to being on vacation. The warmth and professionalism helped to build the anticipation of the massage treatment I was so looking forward to. Lauren is an amazing therapist, knowing her craft and practicing it with such skill! She is warm and compassionate while being thoroughly professional. She knows the exact amount of pressure but will always respond to requests for changes. The tension just seemed to melt from my body as the hour progressed. The positive effects lasted for days! I cannot say enough positive about Spavia and Lauren’s healing massage! I will surely return.

Best massage i’ve had! Lauren was absolutely amazing and made sure to work out every knot I had and took preferred I said into consideration. She explained whatever she did! Highly recommend

From the moment I walked through the door it was a relaxing experience. It smelled good. The women out front were kind and helpful. I liked that I could choose my lotion scent and the music I listened to. The process with the changing room with the robe and sandals, and the cozy waiting room lent to the relaxation process and helped me feel really pampered. And then Chris gave me an amazing 100 minute massage while not talking, as Id requested.All of it was an excellent experience

Very happy with my experience here. They were very accommodating with my mother and I. My mother got lost on her way in and the receptionist took the time to help us figure out just how far she was and what exit to take. They didn’t rush us through our appointments either. Everyone from the front desk, the young ladies who did our facials and the masseuses were extremely polite and wonderful to work with. 10/10 Will be booking again!

Wonderful experience! This was my first time getting a massage at Spavia Day Spa! It was an out-of-body experience that reinvigorated my tired body. The place has a great ambiance and with respectful customer service!!! I plan to become a repeat customer and highly recommend to anyone needing a great massage!!!

Love this place! Very pleasant and helpful staff. It’s never too difficult to get the appointment time that I want. For facials, my favorite is Vicky and no one is better than Sarah for massages!

1/9/23 update: I finally had a chance to reschedule and just wanted to let everyone know that my massage and overall experience was really great the second time around! Everyone can make a human error, and that’s what happened with my first visit. It was unfortunate, but Spavia apologized and I really think the one-time error was not representative of how that business usually runs. So, I’ll be back again, and I do recommend this location to other people, as I had a really wonderful experience.Original post: EPIC FAIL. I DO NOT recommend. I decided to try this spa for the first time, and scheduled appointments for myself and a friend online. When we showed up today for our appointments, the spa did not have the appointments in the system. Our plans for a nice relaxing day disintegrated, as I realized that the day I had taken off of work was going to be wasted. The manager attempted to blame the situation on me, telling me that I made a mistake by picking the wrong date when I scheduled online. However, I showed her my email confirmation which clearly showed the appointment was made for today’s date. The manager then quickly pivoted, stating that she remembered moving our appointments out a month when we spoke on the phone yesterday. I had not spoken to anyone on the phone at all though, and had certainly not rescheduled our appointments. I have no idea what’s happening with management and scheduling at this spa, but I strongly suggest trying a different spa, unless you want to waste your time and have a frustrating experience.

This day spa is wonderful. It is clean and has professional employees. From the start the place has available parking. You enter and are greeted. I was booked for a package that was 3 hours long. Least to say I did not want to leave! My massage and facial was impeccable and lunch was great too. This is my go to spot now.

My daughter and I came in for a facial and massage. My massage was ok, not anything special even though I booked a deep tissue massage and expected to feel release of tension I usually do afterwords. Ive definitely had better massages elsewhere. My daughters facial seemed to be done well, although she developed lots of redness afterwards. I liked the rest area and friendly staff, but services were not amazing as other people indicated in their reviews.

Stay away from this place !! They will scam you and will charge credit card without notifying !I rescheduled appointment once and saw 3 charges on my credit card . Called them apparently it was NO SHOW charges lolWhen I spoke to them no one mentioned that and decided to change my card , how nice !!!Scam scam scam ! Would not recommend them whatsoever !

This place was a amazing, around the same time last year I had went to a different massage place and they were no where near how Spavia Spa was. Spavia Spa was so clean and the environment was so relaxing. The employees were so sweet and friendly. I had a facial and a full body massage done and it felt so good. I have back problems do to work related issues, when the full body massage was done for the first time in years I can say my back does not hurt I felt so relaxed. The next day my body doesn’t hurt especially my back it doesn’t hurt. I have truest found my go to spa to get massages and facials. I am definitely going to adventure out and try their other services that they offer. I recommend this place to anyone. I will be back more likely next month. Going to try to make it a once of month treat for myself.

Very good place to get a massage. Affordable prices. Not the BEST I’ve ever had but good if you want something quick and less expensive 👍🏻

Excellent experience overall. I had Lil and she gave me a signature massage and an oil scalp treatment. The massage was probably one of the best I had due to the fact that she used hot stones and hot towels. Usually you don’t expect those included with a signature massage but Spavia pulled out all the stops! The hair treatment I expected to be hot, which would have made it better but it was room temp. But my hair looked, felt and smelled amazing afterwards! They gave us the discount even though it wasn’t the right day. Great place for a girls day!

The staff was friendly - Vicky was super! I know my sister felt the same about Marissa. The spa is aesthetically pleasing.All in all it was a wonderful experience - oh and I also loved the fact that we could select our own music and the level of conversation during our treatments.

From Start to finish, I was impressed.I was welcomed by Crystal. She was the receptionist. Professional. Warm and welcoming. She explained everything to me.Helped me get set up.The place has an intimate setting.More private than a huge spa.My experience was amazing. I had a basic massage. Lilly was my masseuse. She worked all my knots out and I felt so renewed after. They have a locker room to put your things. A waiting room with relaxing things to do like coloring Mandala books. Or a rock garden. A warm Lavendar wrap for your neck. So zen. I had a relaxing experience. I would definitely go back. It was awesome.Thank you.

I think they should and could do much better the just dont do the job of cleansing the face

Im very disappointed after reading all these amazing reviews and spending almost 400! My massage therapist (dayana) was not good and caused me a lot of pain during (I asked a couple times to go lighter) and lots of pain the days following (i think she pushed on a nerve wrong?). I cant lift my arm properly and I get 2 massage a month so i know what is normal and not. I also got a facial and the person who gave it to me was from hand and stone but was very nice. The last treatment i had was good and that technician was very pleasant as well. I just would not go back for massage here.

Went in for a couples massage, from beginning to end it was a great experience. Staff is very welcoming and professional, the spa clean, the massage itself was great. We will be returning to try their other services.

The esthetician Sam was wonderful. Very skilled and able to answer all my skincare questions. She has a lovely personality as well. I enjoyed the retreat room after my facial too. A very nice environment from the moment you walk in until you leave.

Amazing service! Great staff! Super clean facility. They make you feel super relaxed and welcomed. Their monthly membership is so worth the services. You will leave Spavia like a new person, mentality and physically renewed!

I just left here and i loved everything about my experience! My masseuse was Patty and she was the sweetest! She made sure i was comfortable and the pressure was to my liking. I bought this on Groupon last minute because i was having lower back pain. They were able to pencil me in within the hour. I will 100% be coming back! This is the kind of experience everyone should have from Groupon so that they WILL return!

Had my first visit to Spavia in Ridgewood, what a very relaxing place. Got a 60min massage, relaxed in the Zen room and then took a shower. Relaxed for 2hours..Highly recommend it. Plan extra time to relax and drink Tea/Water, would have liked to stay longer.

Phenomenal service , and amazing facility ! My friend and I went for our weekly girls day and were so relaxed! The masseuses were great ! Next week facials!! Highly recommend to anyone looking for some “me time” or a relaxing time with their friends

I recently cam here for the first time with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious and relaxing it is at Spavia. Even though I came for just once service, they offered up a full spa experience with robes and a lounge area, etc. I would come back again!

My wife and I really enjoyed the 60 minutes deep tissue massage. Location is very professional, relaxing and tranquil. My masseuse Stephanie was excellent, I highly recommend her.

I received a Spa treatment as a gift from a member from SpaVia Day Spa after working nights as a RN during the pandemic here in NJ. The staff at Cedar Knolls, NJ treated my so well and I left after a facial with Ruth feeling refreshed, hydrated, and so relaxed. They have package deals that are affordable and totally work with busy schedules and the need to make changes. You could have a family member use your package or just save it and use it when you are available. With a world in turmoil and so many unknowns, this place is like a breath of fresh air!!

Just had the best massage! Iv prob had close to 100 massages in my life but today my massage was with Connie and she was AMAZING! Highly recommend!

I used to go monthly to Spavia and get an amazing microdermabrasion facial from April. Now that April is gone, I tried their other esthetician Samantha. DO NOT LET SAMANTHA TOUCH YOUR SKIN! She forgot steps in my microdermabrasion and I had to remind her. Samantha was very unprofessional and so was the owner, who called and berated me about this post. I will not be returning to Spavia.

I came to take care of my skin and to relax and I was very satisfied. The spa is beautiful and cozy. The coronavirus protections are in place and staff is very professional.
