I booked and received a massage about 2 weeks ago. Worst ever! Never was asked when I booked or when I was taken back what I wanted, what a waste of 125.00. I reached out to let them know and received an email and call from their manager Jordan to see how this could be rectified. Let her know what happened, and her solution was to try to sell me more enhancements and to offer me a 30 minute massage for 80.00. Stay away from this place.
Jenna is truly amazing. I used to have bad acne but she helped me clean that up. We found products that actually work with my skin! 100% recommend Jenna for a facial!
I have been going for three years for facials and massages. It is always a nice experience with helpful friendly staff.
Great from start to finish! Zoe at the front desk did an amazing job. Extremely personable and efficient! Ashlee T. Did a great job with massage quality and deep pressure. Would definitely recommend. I did feel a little short changed on my time though which is why Im leaving 4 stars instead of 5. I was off the table at 57 minutes and I had paid for an additional foot scrub I would have thought that would add additional time rather than taking away from the hour I paid for.
Good massage on my back, I asked for a full body massage and he only massaged my back. No arms of legs or anything. Disappointed. I wished he would have asked before just leaving the room.
The check in process was simple. They make you highlight what parts you want focused on; i.e. legs, hands, back. I made sure to highlight my lower body and I feel like that wasn’t addressed at my appointment. The masseuse was polite and amazing though. I feel like they should just pay more attention to our needs since they make us to that in the beginning of the appointment. My boyfriend’s experience wasn’t well. His needs were not met. I do recommend this place but the masseuses just need to pay more attention to their clients.
Did not book appointment because the woman on the phone lied about having available appointments. She did this because they only wanted to book $90 not the $55 introductory. Then, I was informed that you have to pay first so I said no thanks and went over to the Mayo Gym and got myself a massage for $55 the next morning. Worse corporate place with crappy policies about cancellations. No other place I’ve ever been to makes you pay first. They have enough money in the company to compensate employees for their time in these instances. It’s a stupid policy and things happen where people can’t show up. Just reschedule. Not a big deal. Bad company. I don’t recommend.
I had an appointment on saturday, and it was one of the first real massage experiences ive had, started my experience with the best help from the receptionist, very very professional and welcoming and helpful! left feeling rejuvenated and calm! would defiantly go back and recommend!
They did a great job, getting appt was lacking. they ONLY offered 90 min appts ($90) I told them I had a $65 GC they werent really wanting to accept it and do JUST the 65 min. In the end they did, on a different day but certainly didnt make me feel like it was welcomed.
I was having lower back pain and I went to see a therapists for a deep tissue massage. It was such amazing massage and experience! I feel so much better and signed up for there very affordable 6/12 month packages!!
Before I went to this place I asked if the Mayo Discount applied to family members. I was told yes, got the discount the first time. Second time I made a appointment, there was a miss communication and they said yes and no. Third time, I was told yes but at the end of the message they said I would have to pay full price instead of the discount amount. This is THREE times I had to biker about this. Each time they could not bring up my account so I had to create a new one each time. This last time I showed them a email receipt and they where able to bring it up. My name and email where put in wrong. This was the last time I went there and just paid the full amount. The system automatically applied the discount anyways. I would recommend Serenity Contour over this. They might be a bit more pricey but depending on the skill level of the therapist you have room to barter. Ie you can either pay length or quality there. From what I have heard from former employees of this place. The therapists are treated better there and get paid better too.Last thing I want to do is biker about price when I went there to relax and we already agreed on a price before hand.
Everyone has been very nice. But...it takes forever to get an appointment. Everything is always booked for months. When I go to cancel my membership because I can never get in when I have the free time, I find out that it takes ten days to be processed?!?! So now I will have to pay for another month of the membership and add another massage that I wont be able to use. Disappointing.
Ill start off with the good: my massage was good. I almost gave this place 2 stars because of it, but... Ill get to that later. Now the rest: The customer service at this Massage Envy is on par with that of Charter or Comcast. If you really want an appointment, skip the online request system. Since it doesnt tell you whats available, youre just wasting your time guessing at what might be available (hint: nothing), so youll have to call anyway.I was finally able to schedule an appointment (approximately 2 months out). Okay. Fine. A little inconvenient, especially if you have an emergent issue. Then, about a week before my appointment, they leave a voicemail asking me if I can reschedule. I call them back, get someone who doesnt know anything about the first call. I agree to a later appointment, even though its more inconvenient for me.I get ANOTHER call about a day later, saying that not only do I now have 2 appointments on the same day, they also happen to overlap. Of course they do! I ask to keep my original appointment. She says no problem. Great. So besides a small annoyance, everything worked itself out. Then I get their automated call, confirming my appointment for the wrong time! My original appointment was canceled, and the rescheduled one was kept. I call them back, explaining what happened, asking if I can get my original appointment again. They tell me theyll call me back. They never do. I call them back, my appointment is still set for the rescheduled time (not my original time). I say fine. When I finally get my hour-long massage (which should have lasted 50 minutes), it only lasts 45 minutes (hence why the good massage couldnt even bump my review to 2 stars). I know it only lasted 45 minutes because my masseuse announced the start and end times. Perhaps it seems silly to be complaining about 5 minutes, but at this point, it just feels like the final insult. Im assuming they do this because Im not a member, and they needed to give me a sales pitch at the end. No thank you. Please, there are much better places in Rochester to get a massage. I only tried Massage Envy because I received a gift card. I have over $100 left on this gift card, and I still never want to go through this ever again.
Definitely Poor Experience.... When you call in theres never any available time and when you get one they will cancel on you. When I finally get into the facility some of the front desk girls are busy with other people and phone calls but one just didnt do anything but stare out the window didnt greet me or check me in (making me late for my massage) or answer the constantly ringing phone. Not really a relaxing atmosphere. Had better experience at other massage envy but since this is the only one in Rochester, I guess they can dish out sub standard customer service. Two thumbs down!
We are in-between a move (suuuuper fun during a pandemic), and I had some pretty bad shoulder and neck pain/tension. This pain can be pretty unbearable at times considering it typically stems from either an old car accident injury and/or migraines. They were able to squeeze me in for an evening massage within a couple days. Becca from the front desk went above-and-beyond to ensure I had the right add-on for pain relief, and Kevin was phenomenal and took care of my neck and shoulders! It was one of the best neck massages Ive had. I highly recommend checking out this Massage Envy location.
Not accommodating. At 8am on Tuesday I booked an appointment for 10am. When I pulled in the parking lot I received a call from my kids school and he was sick. I tried to either cancel or shorten and they were not accommodating. My options were pay for 60min massage and get 30 min or pay half and get nothing. Very dissapointed!
Massages and customer service are average at best and there are never any availabilities. Dont even bother trying to book an appointment using the website; its totally useless and youll end up having to call the place anyways, guaranteed (and youll still have to wait 2 months to get your massage).Edit: they updated their website and it is much more helpful now.
I have been a Massage Envy member since 2014 and have been to half a dozen or so locations. I recently moved to Rochester, MN and this location is so bad that I likely will be canceling my membership. I can never book an appointment, as they always seem booked up for weeks upon weeks. Front desk staff also leaves much to be desired.
I have been a long time member and am finally ready to cancel and move on. The staff turnover is constant, and thus it is very difficult to get in with the experienced therapists. Consistently, my prepaids mount up because I cannot get appts when I am available, as a working professional. The last straw was needing to cancel today because of an illness and not wanting to exposing others. Their policy is to charge even when trying to reschedule and not just cancel. The irony is that over the years, at least three times my apps were cancelled by Massage Envy due to therapist illness and weather. There were no attempts to reschedule my apps in a timely manner. Poor customer service.....
Friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere. Only downside was high turnover rate, every 2-3 visits was new staff. Ultimately, scheduling regularly with the same staff member was nearly impossible which made me visit less frequently and I was left with many unused sessions upon canceling.
I had a facial and a massage. I did enjoy the facial last week. The 90 minute massage today was ok. I wasnt impressed and for 80 minutes or less for the massage today I was charged almost $160. Really expensive for nonmembers. I would not recommend.
I guess in this time of uncertainty nurses who take care of COVID patients regardless of PPE, can’t have a massage in this facility. When I booked my appointment I specifically asked what safety measures they have implemented. The associate told me that everyone must wear masks all the time, and temperature check upon arrival in the building. On the day of the appointment, I called from my car to check in and the associate asked me their safety questions. One of the questions was “ have you been in close contact with positive COVID person in the last 14 days?” I am a registered nurse, of course we take care of patients whether COVID positive or not wearing the proper PPE. The manager Emily, said they cannot accommodate me for my appointment because of that. This is a decision made by someone who does not have enough knowledge about healthcare. As nurses we strictly comply with our procedures and processes to prevent the spread of the virus especially to our families. It is not in our creed as nurses to choose the patients we take care of , just because we have a massage in two weeks. So I say to fellow nurse, before considering going to massage envy, look around for other places who have sensible safety measures in place.
The little girl who they have put in charge of the front desk for some reason, Becca, is absolutely horrible. She speaks down to and argues with customers. It makes the entire experience pointless. There are better places to get a massage where they don’t make you feel like they just want your money. Don’t waste your time here.
I worked at Massage Envy for about eight months. Due to unprofessional actions and behind the scenes activities I did not agree with, I ended up quitting. But before I quit, I had booked my sister in law a prenatal massage two months in advance. I didnt put down a phone number or credit card in her profile because I had planned on covering it for her as a gift. I wrote extensive notes saying I would cover this session and to contact me for any issues.I go in today to double check the appt that was for tomorrow, December 10th. I see the Clinic Administrator at the desk and ask her about the appt. She states its not there, instead there is an appt booked since November 19th. I know they have a feature that can tell you when an appt was cancelled so I ask her to look. She states November 19th. So I tell her, obviously someone cancelled the appt I booked for my SIL and booked someone else in that place. Why did this happen? Well, she says, there was no CC. Yes but my name was in the notes, why didnt you call me? I could have cleared it up in an instant and gave you my info. Well its not our job to read the notes; someone mustve deleted it and not known who you were. Actually, no. Only management can cancel appts without contacting clients or make the executive decision to do so. And the management that was there all knew who I was. They saw I made the appt. They saw the same last name. They read the notes that said I would cover in.And instead of taking five minutes to call me and get it cleared, they just deleted the appt. And when I asked for the slot back because it was proof I had the appt first, she said no, there was no CC so they couldnt give me the appt back because it wasnt their fault. So two months I have this appt to be a nice surprise for my pregnant SIL who was looking forward to it and the day before I find out its gone. They made no attempt to contact anyone which means had I not gone in myself to check it out, my poor SIL would have come in the next day expecting an appt and find out there was nothing and just be told, sorry, sucks to be you.Unacceptable. I already knew this place was going downhill but to be so spiteful to just delete appts because they didnt like the former employee? You cannot convince me it was anything else.
Very angry with this place, dont waste your time or money on it. I had one massage and was not impressed but thought Id give it another try so I scheduled another massage but later decided to cancel it. I canceled it THREE TIMES. and they charged me 64$ out of my bank account for it! Not ok! This place needs new receptionists because there is no communication. Dont go here.
Therapist are top notch. So much though that they usually go somewhere else to work or start their own business. The membership cost has increased enough to not make it a a value over walk in pricing at other places. The desk staff is friendly.
Wow I was looking for a place for a nice massage. But with all these poor reviews I will not be coming to massage envy. Im surprise your still open. Sounds like very poor customer service and poor management. Maybe yall need to work on that!!
Kinda the weirdest not amazing massage Ive had... And the place has no meditative room. Feels very sterile. Wouldnt go back personally.
As always. My expiration here was exceptional.
Ashlee T. Was amazing. I felt so much better after the massage. They offer a membership which was a Great deal. Highly recommend
I was able to make an appointment via the app this morning when I woke up and got in right away in the morning. These folks always do great work and are professional and considerate. Everything is clean and comfortable.
I had a heaven-on-earth experience today at Massage Envy with Therapist Jen. The Rochester location has a top-notch manager and staff that make every effort to help the body heal. More massage, fewer murders!
Very nice staff left feeling very refreshed and was able to relax even though I was very uncomfrable at first. It was my first massage without a shirt on. Very professional place.
I have been a member for 8 years and this place is very professional courteous accommodating. The membership fee is reasonable and the therapist are friendly
First pregnancy massage and I felt very relaxed! Angie did a great job and made me feel very comfortable.
My husband and my children gave me a gift card for massages and Facial, the massage was great but the facial was lousy service!
I went there today and I had a wonderful time it was my first massage experience and they made sure I enjoyed it that I would return
Very good experience. The staff is very nice. I have only tried one of the massage therapist so far, but very happy.
Wow! Horrible reviews! I can honestly say not considering Massage Envy. Even the responses to the reviews were lame. I feel sorry for all the people that have been mislead.
My wife liked her massage, butSaid it was like crack, if you know what I mean. She wanted more. And it didnt really help her distress in the long run.
Always had great customer service and never had issues with scheduling. You do need to sched about a month in advance. If they are busy they are good!
All your quality healthy foods and necessities. Knowledgeable helpful employees around every corner.
Bought a gift for my wife. Staff was very helpful.
Such a great place with friendly staff. They are all about making sure you are feeling great!
Have been here a couple times when I got a gift card, have never been impressed. Ill probably just stick to massages while on vacation at a resort.
The people who work there are great! The massage therapists cater the massages to your needs.
The staff is very friendly and the facility is clean and comfortable. Membership has its benefits!
If you need a deep tissue massage definitely go see Ashlee! Great massage and conversation.
Amazing. I would recommend being a member and treating your body to this at a minimum monthly. It just makes you feel better
Always a welcoming placeI feel so good after my massage.
Ive tried to get an appointment for six months for my aching back. Im driving to the cities to another location since I cant get an appointment at the Rochester location.
They never have an availability. Ive stopped in, Ive called. Never any time although seems people are standing around. Weird.
Friendly , helpful staff. Arianna is amazing, very good at what she does
They lost two of my appointments aND cancelled the other. Not impressed.
