Massage Envy

This was my first time at a Massage Envy. It was also the first time I got a massage in quite a few years. Victoria was my massage therapist, and it was wonderful. First, she went over her plan for the massage, which was nice to know. Then during the massage itself it was nice because I didnt feel any pressure to have conversation. She checked on how I was doing but didnt push any further conversation. I also want to shout out the receptionist who was helping me out. I forgot her name, but she was so helpful in answering my questions and in finding information for me to take home.

My tech at the Vadnais location was great and super nice however I was convinced into signing up for a membership but shortly after changed my mind and wanted to cancel. Turns out, they will NOT let you cancel your membership without a doctors note which is the most ridiculous policy Ive ever heard of. My reasoning for getting a massage had nothing to do with anything medically related, so does this policy even exist? It was my birthday and I just wanted to do something nice for myself. Do NOT sign up for their membership unless you want to jump through hoops to get out of it.

Jessica was great at the Vadnais Heights Massage Envy. A good balance of pressure. I generally stay alert through massage experiences because I want to be fully experience the massage but the way Jessica worked on the bottom of my feet, I caught myself drifting off. I would definitely schedule with Jessica again, if the schedules lined up.

I had a one hour massage with Leroy today. 90% of the one-hour massage was done with his forearm and elbow. He hardly used his hands which is very contrary to other massages I’ve had.I am a thin person and don’t have much “girth” on my back and shoulder blades. After his first pass using his elbow on my back, and shoulder blades, I told him that it was painful because it was bone-on-bone. I asked that he refrain from using his elbow on me.Despite my pain, he continued to use his elbow. When he switched to my right side, I told him again. But he chose to continue to use his elbow.It was a complete waste of $140. Very disappointing experience.

I received a massage from Tong, and I am grateful for her expertise and awareness of what my body needs. She focused on and relieved the right muscle before moving on, and I appreciate that she does not give a superficial massage.Thank you, Tong.

I drive Uber sometimes and while sitting for long periods my back and my legs get stiff and this is one of the reasons why I went to Massage Envy . I got the full body massage with aromatherapy and it was a wonderful and relaxing experience. My massage technician was amazing. I do have to say the only problem I have with Massage Envy is there membership sign up policy. I signed up for their membership but to cancel their membership you have to have a sign document from a doctor which I think is a very unfair, because I didnt go get a massage for any medical reason. I have not tried to get out of the membership because I do enjoy leisure time to relax but for any reason that I want to let go of the membership I think that it is a very ridiculous policy. Other than that I do recommend Massage Envy they were great.

Andrea is awesome. Id tell yall to go get her to lay hands on yall but then Id have to wait longer to get my appointment. But on the real Andrea has an amazing touch and a very gentle spirit. Im so glad I met her and she will get all my massage business. She should get yours too.

My massage with Victoria was excellent. She was prompt, respectful, and listened to what I wanted. When I misjudged the pressure I wanted, she adjusted the pressure accordingly. I would definitely choose her as a therapist again.

Roosevelt was awesome. The front desk staff scheduled me for my first appointment after becoming a member and although it was 30 days after my initial appointment they said I had to pay the entire massage fee because my first month of membership hadn’t actually lapsed. I certainly didn’t want to pay for a massage when I was already a member. Yikes.

I’ve never had a massage but I have maannyyyy knots in my neck and shoulder area. I couldn’t stand the pain anymore even with physical therapy and even though I’m still sore I’m not in complete agony. Mariah was super sweet and I really appreciate her being patient with my first time. I know what to expect more this time but I can’t wait to go back in a couple weeks! Thank you so much! The front desk girls were awesome too (I can’t remember their names, sorry!) I didn’t know that a targeted massage could actually really help with my pain.

Tong was fantastic- listened to what I needed and was familiar with frozen shoulder injury. Worked within my mobility tolerances and very compassionate and aware of limitations. Several times throughout massage, she was able to release tension and pain/tightness. Offered suggestions for improved stretching, post massage care and when to come back

Roosevelt is an amazing massage therapist. This location in particular seems to be better than other Massage Envy locations in terms of being able to schedule appointments. I have never had a bad experience here.

Dawna was excellent!! Exactly what I needed. Obviously a professional & very knowledgeable. Enjoyed meeting her — she’s an inspiration!

Alex at the Vadnais Hts location was fantastic! Very different style than I’m used to but it was very effective in reducing the specific pain I was hoping to relieve. Will definitely see him again.Roosevelt is also wonderful! I came in feeling stressed out with tense neck and shoulders and left feeling like a new person!

I had a 60 last minute session with Kim. She was very attentive to what I was looking for with the massage. She applied perfect pressure and I feel rejuvenated!

Massage envy in Woodbury is THE WORST. No sign out front, no email or text confirmation. Had an appointment at 1, arrived and they said, no, it was at noon?! Like why didnt you call me? Why did Izzie the person who scheduled tell me 1pm along with the address which I wrote down. No refunds no compassion no professionalism. Lost my business for life! Hopefully once your new owners take over theyll fire you all and hire people who have compassion and actually care.

I go to Lindsey for my facials,she always does great work. The results are exceptional and will make appointments with her.

Keishauna was amazing would highly recommend her! I came in with shoulder pain and left feeling like my shoulder was brand new!

I have a monthly facial with Menuka. She is absolutely wonderful! I ran into an acquaintance after I left my appointment. She asked me what my skin care was because I was absolutely glowing. I look forward to it every month!

Andrea is the best there in Vadnais Heights. She is conscientious when it comes to checking in during the massage besides prior to it. Her technique is the best and always is professional and personable.

I came for a massage the day before my spinal fusion. Calming, the therapeutic massage considered my scoliosis and set me up to be in optimal readiness.

Went in to Massage Envy to get my first massage ever. Alex was awesome! They set expectations early and was open to answering any questions I might have!

Jessi was great! She did exactly what I needed.The only thing that could improve is that a couple times during her massage I could hear laughter. Not her fault. The front staff should be aware that the walls are thin. I realized it was them when I was leaving as they were still exchanging laughs. Happy place at least.

Keishauna was awesome! On time, Professional and applied the right amount of pressure I will definitely be back to see her.

The Employees suck their not professional. some shady buisness is going around the store. store owner should keep look out because illegal things are happening at massage envy their going to get pinned for it. The manager will favor people.

My massage therapist was okay, she seemed shy to communicate and share information with me. She gave a good massage, but didnt ask my input after, tell me.to drink water, about Amy specials they were running etc.

Update February 2024 - I’m removing my previous review and replacing with this:Im not sure I’ll go to a Massage Envy ever again. I had a yearlong membership that just ended and I did not renew it. I cancelled primarily because it is impossible to find appointment times even when booking weeks in advance. Anytime I found a therapist I liked, I was never able to schedule with them again as they were booked up for weeks. This leaves the newer staff with the most availability and quality is very hit or miss — while the massages are reasonably priced, it’s still a lot of money to shell out for a potentially not great massage. I also had a newer massage therapist make a comment when working on my legs, “I can tell where all your food has been going.” Um what? Beyond. I also found the cancellation process to be a giant pain. Every time I called or asked the front desk about how to cancel at the end of my year, I was told to call closer to the end date of my contract. I called a few days before the end of my contract and was told I’d be put on a cancellation list and would hear back. I heard nothing. I called again a day later and was told the manager who handles cancellations was not in and I’d be put on a list and to call back. I expressed concern that if the cancellation wasn’t processed, I’d be charged for another month/my membership would renew. I also expressed frustration at needing to keep calling about this. I had been told by more than one staff member over the course of my membership that your membership automatically renews and when that happens, you are locked in for the year. I was again told I’d be put on a list and they “felt confident” my membership would get cancelled. I asked if I could email and was told they don’t have emails at Massage Envy. The next day I got a call from a manager who told me I needed to fill out and send back cancellation paperwork immediately that day or I’d be charged. I was out for lunch and a movie with a friend and was quite irritated that I had been calling about this for days and then they called me with this urgent paperwork request like somehow I had waited until the last minute. AND to suggest I’d be charged if I didn’t. Unreal. What a shady place. Also interesting that the paperwork was EMAILED to me despite them apparently not having email. I’d suggest steering clear.

I love getting facials and back facials with my credits. Menuka does a fantastic job every time. Thank you!

I had been at this location since 2008. I have had many massages from both genders and it’s always amazing. But this time was the worst. I don’t think this person knows what a massage therapist is. I felt like I paid someone to put lotion on some part of my body. Yikes 😬

Giving these low stars because of the bad experience with a facial that I received last night. I was not warned that the aesthetician would be wearing gloves and it felt like a 2 mm gap between my face and her hands because of the gloves. And all she did was apply some face packs and removed them. It was painful(mentally) to stay there for the 45 minutes of facial. But their massages are good and that’s the reason I did not give a 1 star. Will go back here for the massage but never for a facial.

Went for a prenatal massage and struggle a lot to feel confortable laying on my back but assumed she knew what she was doing. When I could not take it anymore I decided to tell the lady that I needed to be on the side. But completely wasted my first half since I could not be comfortable. Algo the 1 hour + foot scrub actually lasted 45 min in total. 🤨

Sorry to say my massage felt like she was just applying lotion.She needs to do just geriatric. I was disappointed and was a waste of my moneyManagement did not respond to my issues

I loved my therapist, Sara. She had attention to detail and followed instructions so well. I felt like she really cared about my session. I did not love my experience at the front desk. Both when I walked in and out, the front was on their cell phones and had to finish what they were doing before servicing me. I also wanted to buy some product but was offered no assistance when I walked over there, so I left. The difference in service from the Midtown Miami location at the front was glaring and that’s why I noticed so much.

Kristi is the best masseuse! All my troubled areas of tension and stress were addressed and relieved! I am definitely coming back and will continue to have Kristi as my primary masseuse!

I would give zero stars if I could. I received a call less than an hour before my massage saying Blanca had to leave because she wasn’t feeling well and there was not someone else to do the massage. I explained I lived over 2.5 hours away, had gotten a gift card and was trying to use it. When asked if there was a difference location with an opening the woman said I could call them myself. They did eventually call and let me know there were no openings at all. I’m glad I wasted hours of my life on this. Unprofessional and annoying staff.

Massage Envy in Vadnais Heights which isnt accredited by the BBB They have it posted everywhere 60 minute massage. As a non member I came in. They wanted me to fill out a digital questionnaire including target areas of focus for the massage. Met my masseuse, she asked me what i wanted...why do i need to fill out a form if you are asking me the same questions... its wasting massage time...then massage was great except i looked at the clock it was 9:54. Thats 6 minutes short. No where is there an asteric where it says what the lady at the front desk told me. She said, its 5 minutes before and after and a 50 minute massage. In 2011 it was 60 minutes. Now it is 50 but they are marketing for 60 minutes. This place is a rip off and scam. Like i told the lady at the front desk, this is false advertising. The introductory rate is $75 for a 50 minute deep tissue massage. I see a bad business practice, I will call you out in a review, which Im sure youre tailoring... check the BBB website for actual reviews on massage envy. See pictures below for brochure.

I used to be a member here )I wasn’t good at keeping up with the massages) and generally have good experiences but a week ago it wasn’t the best. Halfway through my 90min massage the therapist was trying to sell me a membership?! Like, really? Then after, the front desk was super pushy with trying to sell me a membership too. I just wanted to relax, it was a birthday present! So annoying.

There isn’t a better Massage Therapist than Maschelle! She does an amazing job. Especially if you are looking for Deep Tissue! She goes through your health each time and makes sure that she address all of the needs.The front desk staff and management are also awesome! They make the entire experience easy from welcoming you at check in to check out! Thanks for the best service out there. Tom

Lets just put it this way I have been getting massages over 22 yrs. Cassie is the best Ive had,she is a professional , keeping her clients safe always especially during this nasty Covid time. Massages for me have have given me more time putting off surgeries Ive had to have eventually and keeping my health the best it can be considering the everyday arthritis I deal with it

Vadnais Heights ME great experience. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Massage with Sarah was just was I was looking for... A nice medium pressure with long palm strokes. Fantastic service. Will go again.

I received a text that there was an opening for a massage. I responded right away that I would like the appointment. Shortly after , I received a text that read , yes, I had been booked into this appointed, which further states to Ignore future texts regarding this appointment, which I did , because it is a mass email sent out to all on the waiting list, that this appointment has been booked. Apparently , there was another text that stated there had been a mistake, and I really didn’t have the appointment , which I ignored because that’s the texts that come in right after you’ve been booked. I went to the scheduled appointment, only be told I didn’t have one. I spoke with the manager, and once she pointed that out, clearly I did not have an appointment, which was a disappointment , but mistakes happen. What I was really disappointed in, is the behavior of the manager. She was a tad bit rude ,and didn’t offer any type of compensation , much less an apology, for their mistake in sending the text saying I was booked into the appointment, then later retracting.

I have been coming to Massage Envy for years. The main reason is my favorite therapist Andrea. She listens and delivers an enjoyable experience each visit. She is a rock star.

Very welcoming and professional and great pressure and techniques to remove stress and relax.

Andrea was awesome. I had a 90 minute massage with hands and feet exfoliating and it was heavenly! I always knew what to expect and the whole experience was super professional.

Tong was new to me and with a description of my pain was able to find lots more tension issues. Deep tissue, working out the spasmed muscles, one of the best.

Gwyn is awesome! She listens to your needs and after your massage you will be so relaxed and rejuvenated.The communication from Massage Envy is great and it’s best to book in advance if you are able to as spots fill up quickly. They have a holiday promotion now which helps too!

Kim was my therapist! She is professional and friendly! Great pressure and got to my concerned areas. I feel free and relaxed as if I never had knots in my back!

Moved my appointment up by one day. They forgot to cancel the original and sent two reminder texts when the time came which confused me. When I showed up at the wrong time and realized what happened, I said to just cancel because I couldnt make it work. They tried to charge me anyways and both the front desk and manager were very accusatory. Will be going elsewhere in the future.

Got my first facial from Miranda and was very impressed. She was incredibly pleasant to talk to, did an amazing job with the service, was very professional, and suggested great products afterwards. I highly recommend her and this service…I found it equally relaxing to a massage and my skin looks and feels wonderful. Thank you, Miranda!

Every time I come to Massage Envy in Vadnais Heights, they are SO accommodating. They are always helpful, friendly and professional. I love it here! Sara is AMAZING! I have suffered back pain for a long time and Sara definitely alleviates that pain for me. I appreciate all of the staff here.

Maschelle is one of the best Massage Envy therapists in the Twin Cities, and Ive visited a variety of your locations over the last decade. She is thorough, personable and superb!

Massage therapist Kim is the best. The Vadnais Heights location is my favorite. I’ve been to a few locations and this is the best one. The new manager is such a nice, personable and helpful individual. Love coming here. Always feel welcome!

I LOVE Cassandra’s gentle massages! She has a smooth pressure, pace and seems to hit all the sore places with precision. She gives the best foot massages too! 🤩

I always think the front desk is helpful, my massage was okay but also great at times. Jessi for my pre natal massage does great but feel awkward asking to go tougher or harder.

I did a 90 minute facial with Miranda and I strongly recommend her! She is very personable and made the whole experience very fun and comfortable. I left with my skin glowing and very hydrated, I’ve already scheduled another appointment with her!

Lindsey is always amazing 👏 she is very educated and thorough. We always have fabulous conversation as well.

I had Jenna for a facial and I loved her and plan to see her more often. She was kind, talked me through everything she was gonna do and use. She was gentle and took her time and didnt rush thru it. That was the most relaxing facial ever! But the people who set appointments should be better and actually put people in the calendar. I got there and they didnt have me set up fully but luckily I was still able to get in.

Most massages that I have had have been decent... One person was exceptional. (I dont have the time or patience to risk more bad massages other places.) I have a wide variety of massages and packages to choose from so they can accommodate a lot of different preferences. Im just looking for a therapist with more medical/therapy/healing massage knowledge which seems to be really hard to find in the Twin Cities.

The Vadnais Heights location is quick and easy to get to. The staff is both helpful and friendly. It has a very welcoming vibe. Was just there with friends for massage and facial. Now they are members, too!

Rachel C is awesome. Always listens to whats bothering you. She really works out the knots and loosens things up that you didnt realize was tight. Awesome therapist! So happy I found her.

I felt Lindsey gave far too long to return to the room to start the facial (my friend with an appt on the same day said the same), and I didn’t enjoy my facial as I usually would. The “massage” felt like a plastic bag was being rubbed across me and other parts of application felt odd. I ended up with quite wet hair to leave in the winter, it was yucky.

First off, some of the negative reviews are based on people who didnt bother to show up for the appointment they scheduled, and that is terribly unfair to the company. Of course you dont get a refund after you didnt come to your appointment. If you werent going to go, you shouldnt have scheduled it. I used this clinic one time so far. I was on time to my appointment, and everyone working was polite and pleasant. Weird how that works. My therapist was great. My massage was so relaxing. Even when I try to think of something to be nitpicky about, I cant come up with anything. Bottom line is that if youre a responsible adult who can follow the company policies, which were clearly communicated to me when I made my appointment, this is a good place to get a massage. If you cant take responsibility for yourself, and you feel the need to blame others for your shortcomings, they probably dont want your business anyway.

I go here specifically to help with my adult Acne. I get chemical peels and facials from Miranda. She is hands down the BEST esthetician I have ever been to. She cares enough to ask questions to ensure I am taking care of my skin outside of her services. I have taken products purchased elsewhere to her and she took the time to say yes this is good, no this one will do nothing for ya. She changed up the skin care treatments I was getting before and found what works for my skin. Oh and the best part, when Miranda gives you a facial, she doesnt just put in a mask and then just sit behind you for 5 mins. Miranda works that mask into your face and you get a full on face massage at least twice during facials, Its amazing! Go schedule an appointment with Miranda, now!

It is absolutely no surprise why this location has such negative reviews, and many of them say the same thing! Horrible Customer Service. Do not sign up for memberships or you will regret it. I had gone to their location twice before and always received a reminder call the day before to the correct number. This last time, I did not receive one, and their manager contacted me to say that I missed my reservation. I immediately called back and asked if there was anything they could do, and the manager Amber rudely replied that there was nothing, and I would lose my massage for the month, and still get charged the $65 monthly fee. She also said that the calls were just courtesy calls, so I should be grateful that I even received a phone call in the past. I ended up going into the facility, where I was met by the owner, who continued delivering horrible customer service. She explained how their massage therapists lose money if their guests do not show up, which I totally understand! I even ended up tipping the masseuse $20 for missing my reservation, as I could tell that was the only thing the owner even cared about! I then had said that if Im paying $65 a month, for half a year, I think I deserve at least someone verifying that my information in the system is correct, and the owner looked at me and said, do you think its my responsibility to ask every guest if their info is correct? How crazy?!? Especially when every single time prior, without fail, I had always received a reminder call! This may seem minuscule to some, but this negative experience from a manager and owner of a facility has completely ruined my experience. Again, do not purchase a package! You will regret it!

Gwyn is an amazing Massage Therapist!! She listens each and every time I come in to make sure of any new changes or concerns I may have. Always a relaxing massage! She’s the best!

Initially the service was 5 star when I signed up for a membership. They had just an AMAZING therapist for deep tissue who relieved a lot of issues I had related to a herniated disc. Then I tried multiple therapists who did not work well. One actually was sniffling and sneezing during the massage like crazy. After looking to cancel the first time, I was talked into putting my membership on hold TWICE. They have a great sales team. it took trying over 3 therapists before I could find one that I liked. That therapist also left after a while. It seems like they have a difficult time keeping their good employees. After 9 unused sessions, they wouldnt even refund the last payment when I requested it. CONSUMER BEWARE!!! Make sure you are OK switching therapists and with their strict contract provisions before signing up!

First time ever getting a massage, I had the prenatal massage with Ruth-she is amazing and I was very relaxed during/afterwards! I give her 5 stars.The reason I put 3 stars on this review is because after having a relaxing massage I wasn’t expecting to be stressed out by two receptionists at the same time regarding signing up for the 12 month membership... this was my first massage ever after-all.Third time they asked I said I just have a lot of monthly bills and need to think about it and the Receptionist who was taking my payment said “are bills really the reason you don’t want to sign up?” Then the 4th time I finally said look I’m pregnant and I don’t know if I’ll be coming in a few months because it’s not good to lay on your back/stomach when you are farther along. Just felt stressed out and thought they were very unprofessional.

I have a membership and love getting massages and facials. The staff and masseuses are really great. My favorite and most amazing masseuse is Jessie! She is a truly fantastic masseuse and always makes my muscles feel great afterwards!

I was uncomfortable due to overuse of my shoulders and arms when I made an appointment and feel much better now. I am going back next week to feel normal. I had over worked my body due to this years unusual Winters weather - chopping ice for days.

Kristi’s technique is the one I like best. And she always asks questions before starting the massage. She is not overly aggressive trying to work out the knotted up muscle areas that sometimes are also the most sensitive areas for the client. It helps you relax more during the massage. When I called to reschedule the woman insisted I failed the appointment. This was a blatant lie. I don’t feel this place has ethical people employed here. Lost $75 and it was their gain. No PR here. I just had the worst customer service ever with one of the staff members at this location. I called to reconfirm my appt time for a facial. I had a scheduling conflict so, I asked to change the date. I asked to reschedule on another day, she didnt give me examples or open time slots so I suggested at date. She was vary short with me giving me one word answers. I further inquired about a massage around 2:30pm that same day as the facial she said no. I asked about any time that day and she responded with I said no!. I asked to speak with a manager at that point since clearly the employee was over her job already today (its 9:20am). I informed the manager of the situation and she seemed uninterested. I cancled my appt and any future ones I would have made. I will not be returning to this branch as well as contacting corporate. I work in customer service too, you dont have to be rude and disrespectful to customers.

Massage Envy is a chain of businesses and the one located in Vadnais Heights is OK, but I think youll have better luck if you take the time finding a local provider.If all youre looking for is an occasional massage for relaxation, muscle tension or the occasional aches and pains, they do alright. However if youre looking for a long term interaction with a therapist that understands your needs, this is not too likely to work out for you.I spent several years as a member at this location and Ive seen them change a lot in that time before I changed to someone other than Massage Envy. As they got more popular, the costs increased and the benefits decreased. The cost increasing is a natural thing, but folks really lost the benefits of membership over the years. It also became more difficult to get an appointment without scheduling things more than a month in advance. Typically it would take at least six weeks to get something that fits my schedule and I work a typical job schedule five days a week. Of course that is only an issue if you would like to build a history with a single therapist so you can get the most out of a session. That becomes extremely difficult though as the therapists tend to come and go. Those that stay also tend to change their schedules from time to time. This means if youre using massage therapy to aid in a long term injury, you may find yourself bouncing appointments to different days and times or just different therapists. For those dealing with long term conditions (think back injuries, arthritis or fibromyalgia) you may not get to stay with a single therapist that understands your particular needs. Trust me when I say that consistent schedule and therapist matter.If all you want is an occasional massage, this place is decent and the price is reasonable. if youre looking for something more, I think you can find someplace better.

My therapist Kim does a consistently excellent job on my monthly sessions.A major detractor that is outside of her control, is the FRIGID temperature of the facility, including the waiting room and treatment rooms. It causes significant discomfort.

I have gone to a few therapists at this location- many of them are OK- but my 5 stars are all for Axel! If you are a member or sign up online, he is listed under Michael- I happened upon him trying to sign up to see a different therapist (named Michael) and I couldnt be happier for the mix up! Axel is entertaining and a true pleasure to interact with during your massage- if youre okay with talking! Hes a medium-to super firm pressure and very communicative regarding how things feel. I left feeling an immediate difference for the first time ever. Go to him if you enjoy a firmer pressure- you will NOT be dissapointed!

I showed for my facial only to find the receptionist did not show up for work so there was no one to let the esthetician and I in and I was cancelled. No one from the store called to apologize or reschedule me or make it right in anyway. I understand things happen, but I was so frustrated to not be called, or treated professionally.

Been a ME member for about 5 years, and have been going to the Vadnais Heights location for 2 years. Ive always had good customer service. Tracy is my go-to massage therapist: she is great, and I think the secrets out because shes often booked out for several weeks. I also just tried a facial for the first time since ME started offering them. Facials dont always have to mean chemicals and extractions. I requested a non-exfoliative moisturizing facial and Gigi (the aesthetician) picked the perfect products.A common theme in other reviews is that people signed a membership agreement without fully understanding it, and cant keep track of their appointments. I think you will be fine as long as you understand your agreement and terms under which you can cancel, dont miss appointments, and dont expect a luxury spa experience.

Mary has a unique sense of exactly where my body needs the most work. I suffer from multiple medical issues and she just knows what exactly to do. The right pressure and technique each time. The only downfall is trying to book appointments with her is difficult.

Vadnais height stores are the only ones that DONT CONTACT their members about their memberships about to be up so they can continue to take out $65 a month secretly. Ive contacted other stores in my area and they ALL said that they have their employees contact the members about membership renewal, all except Vadnais heights location. I would highly suggest avoiding this location at all costs! Sorry that people have other stuff going on in their lives to worry about their massage envy account, a little heads up would be nice like all the other stores do. Im just glad I caught it after 1 payment.

So had out of town friends coming and schedule massages for a bachelorette party type appointment for myself and friends. They left a message at my out of town friends house (where she isnt) that her therapist has cancelled for the day. So tried to cancel the rest of the appointments or see if they had a replacement for her. Told I would be charged for the other appointments if cancelled. So thats nice. Screwed up my weekend. Ticked me off and now what. Pay almost a $100 for no massage or leave my out of town friends alone. Totally ticks me off. No compensation for you canceling her appointment. No trying to make it right. I think that is not good business. How am I supposed to relax now?

I scheduled a deep tissue massage for the first time at massage envy. I went in for my massage, waiting for the deep tissue to start. the therapist I had was unable to do a deep tissue massage. As I was leaving she saidnext time you come in you should schedule a deep tissue massage with a therapist that is experienced in that type of massage, Im not able to do themI thought to myself, thats what I was scheduled for wasnt it??? I left after paying for a massage that I was not happy with. I emailed the company the same day, I got a confirmation email back saying that it was received and they would get back to me. Well its been two weeks and not a word back from anyone.Im very unhappy with massage envy and will not get business from me or my family in the future.

The staff works hard to provide a top-notch experience. Therapists with a variety of styles usually available. Only drawback is there no longer is much chance of obtaining a late-notice appointment.

I will never return to Message Envy again! I am absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed in their customer service. I moved out of state and in a location that is 50 miles or more away from the nearest Message Envy. I had a membership and did all the steps I had to do to terminate my membership. I had to fill out a form and send it back and even walked it into the building. Under my impression everything was taken care of and my membership was canceled. Apparently there is no record of it on file and instead of following up with me as a business who is about satisfied customers they continued to charge me never asking “we see you are or have filled to end your membership early. Is there anything we can do to improve our services?” So clearly all they care about is getting their money and screwing people over. I will never recommend this business and will never have anything good to say about it. If you can get the same services elsewhere, do so, because now I still have to send in a cancellation form to fully end my business with them rather than being able to end it when I was on the phone with the horrible and very rude manager.

Im a long time customer. I have always had great service. I use both general massage and specialty massage. Service here has helped with a slowly recovering ankle this year. The therapists keep clearing issues in my back and neck caused by a lot of computer work.The bad reviews that I see dont make sense.

The massage therapist I saw did an adequate job, which I did not give one star. However, the membership practices of this company are truly unethical. The office staff also dont seem to care why I wanted to cancel my membership. I dont understand their long-term sales strategy. I think retention would be easier than winning new customers. Actual retention, and not just suckering people into a year-long contract and then making it super difficult to cancel! I wish Id given my money to a locally owned place, but I was trying to save a little money. I think it would have turned out the same over the course of a year because I wouldnt have lost two of my credits due to cancellation. Buy local!

I had my massage yesterday and it was horrible. When I made the appointment I specifically asked for a deep tissue and when I got there I was put with a light pressure therapist. The massage did nothing for me. When I was told that at check in that it was a light pressure therapist I told her that is not what I requested. She disnt seen to care or try to fix it. Then when I was finished the girl at the front asked again how it was. I told her it was a waste I disnt feel much. My 7 year old son gives me better massages. The pressure was horrible. She then tells me she was worried about that. But got offered nothing still paid full price for a really bad massage. I will also mention my husband got a massage also and his therapist was 20 min late. We booked at the same time to be done at the same time. This was a horrible first experience. I will not be back and will not be recommending anyone here. They dont care about their mistakes and will do nothing to fix it.

My wife went there for the 2nd time and requested the same lady. She specializes in people with migraines and back issues. Does her job well when it comes to that. On this occasion, she finally opened up a little and began a conversation. Surprised my wife, as she thought she didnt have a personality. Asked about our children and what they did. Wife told her we have one doing real estate activities and the other is a military officer. Massage lady quipped, why would he do that?My wife did all she could to keep from coming off the table. She casually explained that it is nice that people can volunteer to serve their country and not be forced to do so. I am disgusted by this womans remarks and how she feels about our country and the people that are willing to give all they have in defense of U.S. policies, whatever they may be.It isnt even worth trying to educate someone with that mentality and willingness to say things to clients that might ultimately offend them. It was all about how SHE felt. Because of this one employee, we will not be going back to this salon and will tell everyone we know what type of people they employ. Very unfortunate.This is one phrase that every American should know and respect:America would not be the land of the free, if it werent for the home of the brave.Kind of puts a tear in my eye every time!

Went there for the first time. Sat there for 5 minutes and filled out the paperwork, AFTER that - went up to the desk to turn in and they told me I was double booked. 4 people working seemed to almost think it was funny. I had taken off the time off of work to go, my back was bothering me and they pretty much told me to get lost. Asked me if I wanted to reschedule - ha, not a chance in hell.Find it interesting that they insisted on my credit card to charge me if I cancelled. But I got nothing for them canceling on me. I understand mistakes happen, but why not a phone call? Or anything?

Called in to cancel due to a family emergency at 6:30 am and left a message on thier machine. They called me back saying I was a no call no show and would be charged 100%. After I explained I had called that morning, they told me they would look into and call me back. Never did! My account was charged for 50% of the service. I called 8 hours before my appointment and I’m pretty sure they could have booked someone else within those 8 hours for my slot.

You can get a good massage here, but if you like deep tissue massage, you will fight for appointments with therapists who can give this service. They have multiple therapists who can do light and medium (and they have tons of availability) and roughly 2 who can do deep.Also, the minutes vs points thing is completely opaque to the customer. You buy an hour a month, but there are also points, and no one can explain to me how you get them or how they translate to either minutes or enhancements.

I recently canceled my account and had one service left to use that expired a couple of weeks ago (I was traveling for business and wasn’t able to use it before), when I called to use my service they didn’t want to provide me with additional time to use it, and was told it is lost and nothing they can do.I guess it is a good thing I canceled the account.

I had applied for a receptionist position at this message envy and I am shacking in my frustration of my experience. I had initially met with the director Amber and Sarah someone who has been working the reception for years.. I have my cosmetology license, 10 years of customers service experience, reception, phone work, office experience, multiply training in sales and marketing. I have delt with many different people and situations and always go above and beyond my job. Which I tried to make very clear to them in my interview. The director Amber and Sarah said I can offer you the job as long as your background check comes back good! I was so happy as I thought this position was extremely fitting for me and felt i was more then qualified for the position of receptionist. I also knew I had nothing on my background check so I knew as soon as they got that back I would be able to start. Amber always kept in contact with me and was very professional in how she handled everything! She had told me it should only be about three days for your background check to come back and I will call you to get started. Well about a week went by.. I called checking up on it so I could start!!!!! Well someone named Michelle answered and said oh yes your background check came back good! I said great expecting them to tell me when I should come in. Then Michelle tells me I she just hired for hiring and training at the front desk so I will have to have you come in for another interview. I said sure! Except, I let her know that I was already offered the position as long as my background check was good which it was.. So anyhow I went in for another interview and everything seemed to go very well!!! She then told me she was going to have a interview with one more person that day and that she would let me know that night!!!!! I said great please because I was told I had this position and turned down two other offers and havent had a paycheck in a month now.. She said again okay I will for sure call you tonight and let you know. Well no call... So I call in she is not there so I talked to Amber she said she was also told Michelle was going to contact me.. Amber was going to tell her to call me or message me back. Still never ever received a call a message not even a email. After being told I have the position and then dealing with this Michelle girl I dont know who or why she was ever hired. It is pretty evident that she is bias and not only that can not even do her job. I know I could have handled this professionally then she. It just gets to a point when I was told I have the position and then never contacted back despite all MY attempts at talking to her she couldnt even call me or email me to let me know. I thought this was your job Michelle!!!!!!!? You should be fired or never hired in the first place because your position is pointless and you cant even do your job. Thanks a lot for putting my life on the line and not caring rather I can eat or am homeless now because of you. Thanks a lot for not doing your job being liars and completely unfair. I hope you get fired and have no money for two months. Or that you just do your fing job thanks! Its not hard.

I scheduled a chemical peel at this location.When I arrived, I was informed that they could not do the chemical peel as it was not 4 weeks from my last treatment, and they had not checked before scheduling my peel. The aesthetician had me reschedule and told me that there would be no charge on 2/2/2019.I arrived on 2/2/2019, checked in and was told that the aesthetician would be notified. At 12:15 pm, as I left the waiting room and returned to the reception area, the receptionist asked me how my peel went!?I asked her if there was an issue with my appointment. She asked me if I had checked in...when I told her yes, she and her colleague told me that the computer that was used to check me in did not notify the aesthetician.I was subsequently rushed into the appointment. I asked the aesthetician if my peel would be cut short. She said no and offered a complimentary neck and décolletage service.I was asked to get on the table fully clothed, which I found confusing due to the neck and décolletage service offered. The room was very chilly. When I asked to have the heat on the massage table turned up, I was told that it had been on for an hour and could not be set higher.When compared to my previous experiences receiving 3 chemical peels at other Massage Envy locations, this peel was rushed and did absolutely nothing for my skin. Additionally, because I was fully clothed in a round collar tee shirt, the complimentary add on services were pitiful.Finally, as I was leaving, the receptionist asked me to pay for the service...

I scheduled an appointment one week out and had an appointment card in hand when I showed up for my appointment today (3/1/2018). The women behind the counter could not find my appointment in the calendar on her computer and did nothing for me, repeatedly telling me my appointment was not in the computer, so she could do nothing about it, (I personally dont care what their computer says, not my problem). I have been a member for more than 3 years and they did nothing for me. They messed up my appointment and didnt even apologize for their mistake. Very poor customer service!!!

Then I tried to cancel over the phone, couldnt do it. I chose to use my credits on family members and was charged a transfer fee for each one...... a transfer fee......BS there is nothing to transfer. I paid for a massage and want to use it with out paying more. I tried to talk to the owner and reps for the store and they wouldnt work with me in any way.....poor business tactics.... im willing to bet they go bankrupt.

Thought I wouldnt like it, my wife encouraged me to go. Im very active, and often beat up from running and heavy lifting. This ended up being like a good physical therapy session. Found a few tense spots and worked to loosen and get things on the path to healing. Highly recommend!

I had a facial done a few days before my bachelorette weekend getaway and a cold sore the size of a quarter popped up hours after I left. Something is not clean about this place.

I love this place, Im satisfied everytime I come here. They usually have openings the day of or the day after, their massage therapists are always checking the pressure and temperature and I always leave feeling relaxed and cared for.
