Highly recommend! My husband and I have been coming here for years and have a stellar experience each time. They always greet me with a calm kind atmosphere from the moment I walk in the door, and I feel more relaxed by the end than I have when going anywhere else. This place and its people are truly special. Had the peppermint essential oil massage this last time and it was very soothing and refreshing!

I first had a massage at Avivage in 2019 when I lived in St. Paul. My husband and I have since moved about 40 minutes away, but will happily make the trip. Avivage provides fantastic treatments, relaxation, and service. Their providers are wonderful. We have been and will be back. Highly recommend Avivage!

I booked a couples massage for my partner’s birthday. He works a manual labor job and struggles with back pain so he chose to have a CBD add on and I chose an essential oil massage.Before our massage, our massage therapists discussed the service with us and were detailed in addressing our massage needs during our appointment. They checked in with us during the massage and met with us after to discuss problem areas they noticed. They also educated me on stretches and techniques I could employ at home to help my partner’s pain from work until our next appointment.We both feel great and will definitely be booking with them again! I went to see Sarah for a birthday massage in November of 2023 and accidentally stumbled into the best massage therapist I have ever had. I now go monthly, which speaks to her gifts and skill as I have never been someone who gets massages that often. She is attuned to her clients needs each session so no massage is the same as the last; she listens carefully and respectfully to what is needed. I am a mental health therapist who specializes in trauma and now refer clients to Sarah as she is so skilled and intentional to create a safe space for each individual she sees. I cannot recommend her more highly! If you need a massage, Sarah should be your first choice!

I have been going to Avivage regularly for over a year and every massage therapist has been wonderful. The location is a beautiful house full of old world charm with nice lighting, plants, and other decor. Everyone on staff is calming, pleasant, and present. Booking is easier than any other massage business Ive been to in St. Paul. Highly recommended all around.

Booked a couples massage with my partner, and we loved our experience. We booked Freya, and my apologies as Im not sure if Maria or Mariah was the second massage therapist in our appointment, but we felt very well taken care of by both of them. This was our first time here, the location is in a great location in St. Paul you can plan lunch or dinner after an appointment, easy to get to. Plan to be early if its a weekend appointment as this part of town does get quite busy, and parking can be a pain but theres free parking all over.During our treatment, my partner and I felt that we were given our own individual experience which was what we wanted. I had Freya and she was super receptive to feedback, and kept checking in, as well as fulfilling my request for having more pressure throughout my massage (a first for me to see how that would feel). We also got the CBD lotion added to this massage and it was recommended to let it soak into our skin for 24 hours, which I do recommend. It felt amazing! The windows in the space do let traffic noise in, we didnt mind it one bit, it just blended into white noise but if that would bug you just be prepared. We were provided water by request, and time before and after our appointment to get dressed/undressed and comfortable without rushing. Will absolutely be back!

My massage therapist Karen did a fabulous job with my 60 minute massage! I am an athlete and she did great at maintaining a firm pressure, especially around my shoulders. The space is very cute, relaxing, and well maintained. I would highly recommend their services!

Emily and Alexandra worked on my partner and I. Emily did amazing on applying med pressure and really loosened a lot of build fluid around my legs and heads, my shoulders are so relaxed. My eyes are so droopy I can sleep from such a deep relaxing message. My partner also feels very much lighter and the follow up recommended advise to take epsom salt after throughly muscle was perfect. Thank you both for making our experience quite enjoyable. We will definitely book another couples message.

Received a gift card for my birthday. One of the best massage places Ive been to. Mariah was great. I asked for hard, deep tissue, and she kept that up for the entire hour. She must have been exhausted. Tai, the owner, was handling reception and greeting that day and was very friendly and personable. Ill be going back.

Enjoyed a nice Friday evening couples massage. The location is the second story of a house on grand. You take off your shoes before entering and be sure to bring a mask. Sydney was kind and sweet and very attentive! $180 with no add ons but you can do CBD and essential oils as well.

I loved the ambience. The services were nice. The massage was ok, but I think it was just because of the therapist that have me the massage. My fiance and I got the couples massage and she said Travis was amazing. He stopped to work out places that she said bothered her. It also came with tea and chocolates.

Had an amazing experience at Avivage Massage. Came here with my partner for a couples CBD massage and had found the business through Yelp. Ive had professional massages before but this one was extra special because my masseuse Alexandra even provided calming meditations easing in and out of the massage. She started by doing an intake asking about problem areas and areas to focus on. After beginning, about 10 minutes in, she asked questions to make sure the pressure was good, she took a lot of care to make sure I was comfortable. There was soothing noises in the background and the room itself was dark and calming. The massage was excellent and I cant say enough good things about Avivage, I will definitely be back! 10/10 would recommend, also Alexandra was awesome and so sweet, ask for her!

Avivage is a wonderful place to get therapeutic and relaxing massages. Their masseuses are excellent and will work with you to make sure you have the most restorative massages. It’s always great to find a BIPOC and Queer owned business and I love the healing environment they have created for our community.

We filled out a form and discussed areas we wanted to focus on. The room we were in was very clean and cozy. Amazing experience. My boyfriend booked us a 1 hour couples massage for our anniversary. Both massage therapists were so professional, calming, and attentive. They have heated tables that can change based on your preference, its a beautiful space, and I felt very comfortable the entire time. We went in for a 60min couples massage and it was our first time there. IT WAS OUTSTANDING! The best massages we’ve had in the twin cities area! Our masseuse(s) were incredible, the pressure was just right and they really took the time to make sure they hit the areas you wanted and needed. Afterwards they did a debrief which I appreciated to understand what they noticed and what areas needed some attention. We will be going back!

I cant say enough good things about Sarah!Ive had my fair share of muscle aches and tension, especially in my shoulder. Sarahs deep massage work is something I always look forward to – shes got a knack for finding critical spots and releasing their tension for a physical reset.Whats even better is the atmosphere she creates. Her thoughtful coaching and calming presence help me mentally reset as well. It certainly doesnt hurt that Avivage is in such a wonderful historic space on Grand Ave. By the time the sessions done, I always feel a sense of restoration.If youre looking for an effective, grounding massage therapist - Sarah is worth booking!

I have terrible tension migraines and have had many massages by numerous therapists around the twin cities. I found Avivage last minute in desperation and had a 60min CBD massage with Karen. She was absolutely amazing, 10/10 recommend! It was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had. Karen listened to what I’ve been through and knew exactly what I needed. The place was very comfortable and relaxing. She offered advice afterwards without being pushy about buying more sessions or product. I will 100% be returning.

I selfishly don’t want to post this review because the 60 minute Couples Massage, I just got from Orindel and my partner got from Freya, might cause both of their availability to be too full for me to book another massage with either of them in the future. 😂But here I am posting anyways because the skills that both Orindel and Freya have are too good not to share and their books deserve to be as full as possible!The meditative opening and closing of the session was a wonderful coaching of breathe work into the space. And while I can’t speak to Freya’s skill, my partner advised that his massage was an hour of him “just chilling out,” that the pressure she provided was perfect to his requested level and that he was “super relaxed” after his massage.Orindel, and I told him after the session, carries wisdom in his hands. I apologized for assuming at the beginning of the session that his apparent youthfulness meant he was young in his profession. I didn’t learn how long he’s been practicing but his knowledge and professional experience shows! He does an incredible job balancing specific requests while working through areas of internalized stress/tension as he discovers them- several that I didn’t even know I had! But whew did they need the coaching to relax, thank you Orindel!!We joked with the masseuses that we needed to extend our session 30 minutes just to nap off the relaxing and euphoric feeling we both had.Moral of this long rambling story is book with either of these two but leave at least one session with Orindel for me in the future! 🙏😁

By far the best experience Ive had getting massages. Sarah is awesome. She has a strong technical knowledge of how to approach problem areas. She has significantly reduced my chronic headaches and also enhanced my performance in rock climbing. Highly recommended!

I was somewhat nervous since it was only my second massage EVER but the peaceful environment, welcoming staff, and smooth booking and payment process made the whole experience a delight. Went with my wife for a couples massage. Having to remove our shoes before entering their lobby, having to wear a mask the entire time including during the massage I would have preferred to leave but my wife made the reservations and prepaid. The massage itself was good and they were friendly. Just having to wear a mask the entire time was way over the top for me being March of 2023. I wouldnt return unless the mask policy was removed or at least optional.

I recommend Emily at Avivage Massage as a therapist who listens carefully to your needs. Her skillful massage treatments over 5 weeks helped to reduce and then eliminate muscle tightness and pain in my back and neck .The massages take place in a clean, comfortable, and quiet environment.

Ive gotten a massage here a few times and the massage therapists are great! Very relaxing vibes and every massage therapist did a good job. I had to take a star off for the parking situation. There isnt much street parking around and the parking situation is terrible when there is snow/slush. I drive in from Minneapolis, so I would rather drive to somewhere with a lot in the winter.

My partner planned a date night massage for us here. Weve only had one massage experience from Cancun and were excited to try someplace local. Avivage was very homey (metaphorically and literally!). Im usually sensitive to smells, but the peppermint fragrance we walked in to was actually quite pleasant. We were immediately greeted (I never got her name but she was kind!) and gently directed to some comfy chairs and to fill out some intake forms. Everything felt very soft and calm, and I loved the hallow table with the glowing saltstone inside.My partner had Emily who, based on the website, particularly takes to people with headaches/migraines -- My partner has them almost daily! I was treated by Marielle (though Im not too sure as I thought her name was Maria but there is no such therapist working at Avivage, and the closest name to Maria is Marielle -- sorry!)She was very thoughtful during the entire session. I only had to feel one tickle before she knew exactly where and how to avoid further tickling. She was very gentle yet strong in applying pressure and checked in with me throughout to make sure it wasnt too much. At the end of our session she followed up with suggestions for at-home-TLC as she noticed I was quite tense/sensitive in general (I need to stretch more and drink water, haha).Im going to convince my partner to make this a monthly activity. My partner and I went in today for a CBD Couples Massage. It was both our first massage and we couldnt have picked a better place to do it. The massage therapist were both very accommodating and able to give us very personalized massages for our own specific needs. They fully explained what we could expect prior to us getting on the table and made sure to check in with us during the massage (it did not in any way take away from the relaxation). Themselfs along with another massage therapist (we forgot their name. So sorry! Our brains melted the massage was that good!) guided us away from the daily stress of family and work and had us concentrate on just relaxing for a complete hour. Pure bliss isn’t even a strong enough word to describe the experience. From the friendly service, the relaxing environment, the whole experience was worth every penny. I have been to Avivage twice now got 60 minute massages. I saw Sarah this last visit and decided to add in the CBD balm to my massage since I’ve never tried any CBD product. I was nervous it might smell strongly, but Sarah let me smell it and I didn’t think it was too strong smelling. Sarah had a great consult and we talked about where I wanted her to work on and why. Sarah was great with communication during the massage and made sure the pressure was feeling good. I would highly recommend and also wanted to add it’s on Grand Ave and is so cute inside!

Went for a birthday surprise/couples massage experience. I did my research before we came in and saw the reviews. Wow was I not disappointed! This was my first ever professional massage experience! I left feeling 150 percent. I was hesitant on the price but it was worth every penny. My girlfriend has had professional massages done and I asked her how it compared. She said it was the best massage she has ever had. They atmosphere is calm and pleasant. The masseuses were very attentive and detail oriented. I honestly feel like he found every bit of tension. My husband and I went in for a couples massage and it was SO relaxing. Emily was my massage therapist and she applied the PERFECT amount of pressure. I like my massages to accomplish something (e.g., work out the many knots in my back) rather than just being for pure relaxation purposes and Emily did an amazing job. In the past, massage for me has been fun and relaxing, but this time around I needed it for treatment of pain. It has helped tremendously. Sarah has been excellent- listening to my needs, taking good care of me, and offering tips and suggestions for between our sessions. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for prenatal massage!

We were able to schedule a fairly last minute couples massage- the scheduling process was a breeze. We made a request online and had a text message a few hours later with the available appointment time! The entire experience was very comfortable. We were offered tea and water upon arrival, went over the standard paperwork, had a brief chat with our massage therapist about our goals and what we wanted out of the session and got to pick our own essential oil.My massage therapist was Jennifer and she was fantastic! I left the session feeling extremely relaxed and refreshed! I would definitely recommend Avivage!

I was treated to a massage here from my wife for Christmas. This was both of our first times getting professional massages and they did not disappoint. Very professional and courteous staff that were very accommodating to every need/request you would ever have. Amenities such as hot tea and chocolate are provided at the beginning of your experience and then your choice of essential oils for aroma therapy during your massage. The only thing I wish they had was either good espresso or good coffee. Overall very happy and will definitely return.

Ive gotten a couple massages here now and absolutely love the place! The prices nearly turned me away but Im so glad that I decided to give them a chance. My last massage was with Zoua for headaches and some dizziness. She spent so much time on my head and neck and it really eased many of the symptoms I had been experiencing. The atmosphere here is very relaxed and you immediately feel as if you can let go and just breathe. As corny as that sounds, its true. Scheduling is very easy, especially after your first visit and they really do pamper you. The therapists also ask good questions to make the massage tailored specifically to your needs. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone if youre looking for a truly relaxing and enjoyable massage experience in the St Paul area.

OMG! What an awesome place to be! The very first thing when I got in the room was a friendly greet, super casual and comfortable. Cozy lighting. My boyfriend who has never been to a massage place before I enjoyed it as well! It was my second time going and never failed to impressed me. The two massage therapists were great and were really communicative with us as well! AWESOME STAFF, AWESOME SETTING, AWESOME MASSAGES, AWESOME LIGHTING, and most importantly, we were taken care of so well! It felt almost as if we were all friends there. Sadly, I didnt feel this place was worth the price. I ordered a gift certificate for a Prenatal Massage (60 min) because my wife has been having some back pains. I chose this place because I saw some other expecting mothers had a good experience. I told her if she liked it, wed come back for a couples massage. After her appointment, my wife said it was just Ok and explained that the masseuse asked her what areas she needs the most attention. My wife replied her lower back. Overall my wife said she spent 5 min on her lower back, and most of the time on her head and neck. The total massage was 50 min, not 60. It was an awkward interaction after that. I really wanted to give something special to my wife and treat her well, but Im disappointed this place wasnt it, and Im even more disappointed that they dont give you the full time you pay for. Four of us are visiting from Hawaii and found Avivage on Yelp. We all had a one hour massage and loved it! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and pampered. We were served tea and chocolates. The tea is a special blend of theirs and so delicious. The ambiance is lovely in the waiting area as well as in the massage rooms and the staff are awesome! Everyone was very professional and we knew we were in good hands. Thank you Tai and staff! Aloha and blessings!

Couples massage here last week. Located in upper floor of an older home, unless they have an elevator I dont know about (I dont know), you have to walk up steps. If this is no issue, this place is great. Relaxing setting. Loved my massage. Would love to return. A great way to enjoy Grand Avenue.

I received a massage in February 2019. It was an amazing experience. I’m currently breastfeeding and had mentioned that while booking it. When I got there, there was a specific pillow I was able to use so I could lay on my stomach comfortably. After not being able to do that for 9+ months, I can’t tell you how awesome that was! Any business that goes above and beyond to accommodate their customer, especially when it comes to breastfeeding, is amazing in my book! I can’t wait to go back and will recommend it to anyone that asks.

My girlfriend and I came in for a couples massage, both being our first time getting massages and they did a wonderful job of making us feel comfortable right off the bat. The room was beautiful and relaxing. Both the ladies working with us were extremely professional and caring toward our specific needs. I went in for a couples massage and this experience was amazing! They are not a chain like massage envy where you go in and get a bit of a back rub and gone. You start with relaxing with tea then speaking with your massage therapist and discuss what you wish to have done. You are in a very calming room. Stacy and Megan did an amazing job! My girlfriend and I cannot wait to go back, it was something else! I was in a complete state of relaxation I could barely speak afterwards. Avivage is affordable, professional, and truly understands the art of massage therapy.I arrived to my massage 10 minutes late due to unexpected traffic and was frazzled because I was seeing a massage therapist I hadn’t had before and I didn’t want to make a bad first impression. Keely was exceptionally kind and understanding and made me feel welcomed and accepted. The ambience of the room and scent of eucalyptus erased my stress instantaneously. Sixty minutes later I left feeling like a new woman!

The massage was amazing! Just the right pressure and everything. I felt very comfortable. I enjoyed the warm neck wrap and eye mask as well. Willow also took care to wrap a towel around my hair so as to not get oil in it, etc. Everything was very professional and relaxing. I will be back!

We did a couples massage. 180$ plus tip. The overall ambience was great. Calm and comfortable place, and the people were nice. My wife was very pleased with her massage, but unfortunately for me mine wasnt worth the money. I had an older woman (whos name I cant remember) who scratched me with her fingernails on and off throughout the massage. Also, she didnt seem to have a planned out routine. She was doing some things on one side, but not the same on the other, which made it seem much less professional and much less enjoyable. I rarely write reviews... This was disappointing enough to compel me. Hours later I still had scratch marks on my back :(. Also, this is an older building, so the walls are thin. I could hear a dog barking nextdoor throughout the whole thing, and it was impossible to just zone out and enjoy this experience.

Best massage I think Ive ever had. Jennifer Rae was my therapist and she was perfect. Amazing sensitivity and perfect pressure. She knew just how to get those knots to release. Massage therapists and receptionists are extremely kind and skillful. I got a prenatal massage this weekend and not only was I impressed with their Covid policies (I felt very safe) but it was the best massage I’ve ever had! Freya’s massage was a religious experience.I’ve had good and had bad massages. But this was something else. It was like she knew what to do before I could say anything she somehow was able to apply the perfect pressure to the perfect spots and was able to adjust accordingly, some areas she was rough and some she was gentle and it all just felt right.Will 100% be back.

I found Avivage Massage to get a couples massage for me and my girlfriend on her birthday. It is a nice and cozy place located in the basement of a small strip-mall on Grand Ave in St. Paul. The massage therapists are very kind charismatic happy people who are very good at their job. They made us feel right at home by offering chocolate and wine while filling out our paperwork. We booked the 90-min couples massage with Hannah and Mariah. The experience was great. Both ladies had excellent techniques and were professional. My husband and i both agree this is one of the best massages we have had! If youre in between about booking, just take my advice and do it! You will feel so relaxed afterwards. A few things however, the music choice was a little weird to me and also a tad too loud. As for the ambience, it does not resemble the true spa environment because its located in a small housing unit. Nonetheless, it felt cozy and the fresh scents of the diffusers were very pleasant.

She never fatigued nor let up on the deep pressure that I preferred. Sarah gives incredible hot stone massages. Her technique is wonderful but she also makes sure to help you clear your mind and become present before you begin. This place was truly amazing. My husband and I got the signature couples massage, and everything from the chocolate to the hot towel treatment was to die for. Carmen and Orindel were very kind and extremely talented at getting our knots out. Both of us are in grad school and were having issues with our necks and upper backs clenching up from stress and late night studying. We both left feeling better than we had in many many months. My experience here is HORRIBLE! The massage therapist I had was horrible! I went in to get a 45min massage. She just kept massaging the left side of my back, when I told her I needed upper shoulders, arms, and hands worked on. She kept doing the same strokes over and over and over! As if she didnt know any other way to massage. My back was sore and felt uneven after the massage. She massaged one area, then moved to another, and then to another, and then back to where she left off. NOT really RELAXING! The massage therapist didnt have a good flow. She only spent 1min on each arm. Barely touch my hands and didnt even massage all of my fingers! She DOES NOT have a gentle touch, she just dropped my hands onto the massage table when she was done. Again SO NOT relaxing! I would never go back to this place to visit that particular massage therapist! Such a waste of MY time and money!!And when you think things cant get any worst! When the session was finished, I gave the therapist my card to swipe. She never gave back me my card!! This whole experience is so horrible that I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO GO SEE this therapist! Her name is LesleyAnne!

BEST MASSAGE IVE EVER RECEIVED! No joke. I saw Orindel and there were a couple of things I loved. 1. Strong, consistent pressure. He really got after some nasty knots I had. It wasnt one of those ultra relaxing massages where you dont feel any progress has been made on tightness in your body. 2. Listened to my body. He could sense what my problem areas were without my prompting him and then he worked ALL the places connected to them. I had some limited neck mobility when I arrived and was 100% better after seeing Orindel. I will be back and plan to send everyone I know and love to Avivage.

Was easy to book.A bit difficult to locate as the signage isnt great and it is on lower level. Nice decor and relaxing massage rooms. Some lot parking and ample street parking.

I am currently 5 months pregnant and I was treated with such care. The masseuse listened to my needs, applied the perfect amount of pressure, made sure I was comfortable and helped me relax. The environment was soothing and relaxing. Ive been having really bad lower back issues and the masseuse made sure to focus on that area while still not neglecting the rest of my body. Absolutely loved it and would recommend this establishment to anyone.

We have been to Avivage Massage for two couples massages now. Both have been fantastic. Before our session, we are able to choose aromatherapy oils to be used during our treatment. Water is provided and a small chocolate treat, as well. Both masseuse used professional techniques that were relaxing and also hit our sore muscles, perfect! There is a provided lot that allows for 1 hour parking, there is also street parking available. We will be back soon!

My boyfriend and I were here today and really enjoyed our massages. My only complaints were the amount of light and noise in the room. We also would have preferred if we had had opposite therapists as I wasn’t very comfortable having a male massage therapist.

Before Avivage, I had had some interesting experiences at other massage venues around the world & my expectations were limited. I have always had an outstanding experience at Avivage. I started going there a few months ago, when I couldnt turn my head to the right. Tai and the rest of the therapist there have been OUTSTANDING ever since. Not to sound cliché, but I feel much better, physically, mentally, and spiritually from the visits there. I have seen several of their therapist, they all do a great job. The place is very elegant, yet not overbearing. The place is small enough that you are not just a number, the therapist remember who are, and trouble areas you have. I have a lot less tension, and I dont have all the headaches and migraines I use to have. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Fabulous, relaxing atmosphere. I’ve been to several places to get massages and I received the best one I’ve ever had from Lisa at Avivage. It might be a few more dollars (still competitively-prices IMO) but it’s well worth it! Will definitely be coming back.

This was my first visit to Avivage. They handled everything in a professional manner. The therapist made sure to learn about any problem areas and paid special attention to them. Id been experiencing some significant pain in my right arm that was restricting my range of motion. The relief from the pain in my arm was greatly improved after one visit. I do plan to return.

Orindel is the muscle whisperer! He literally is the best therapist I’ve had work on my back.I love Avivage! It is a hidden jewel. I’ve been a client since 2017. I appreciate the professional atmosphere, personable service and of course the top notch massages.I have episodic back pain stemming from an injury. Orindel has changed my life! The first time I saw him I could barely walk. He worked out all of the kinks and I was upright when I left. He is knowledgeable of muscles and massage therapy. This is evident in the techniques he uses. Orindel is very conscientious about what needs work and works hard to make sure you’re feeling better than when you came.

There was a session taking place and we arrived super early but they were kind enough to let us sit and wait while enjoying our tea and homemade truffles!The two therapists came out and introduced themselves, all were very warm and inviting, making sure we were comfortable. We went over what we were looking for and man did they deliver! I’m sorry I️ can’t remember their names at the moment but they were so attentive, made sure to ask if we needed to adjust anything and provided excellent massages. This was by far, THE BEST massage I’ve ever had. I️ felt like a cloud floating to Cosettas afterwards! I went for a massage for areas but left still sore. They were nice but she asked if I needed more pressure and she was a smaller person and couldnt keep up the pressure. I would not recommend this place to a friend.

Great experience. I talked to Britt to set everything up and she was super nice, my girlfriend and I were treated with respect and I felt like they really cared about us as clients. Its also an awesome bonus that you can text them and they respond quickly. I hate talking on the phone so this made everything a lot easier for me. 😎👌🏻

It was my 1st time here. It was ok. Even after marking and stating no face massage. The therapist still attempted this. I was ok about this. There was some one doing something with money in the main room. It was very distracting. He kept telling me to relax. I said soneone is pouring pennies. It went on for a while. I do not know that I would go back.
