Olde Towne Tavern

Local bar that has been here over 20 years. Everyone passes through at some point. The bartenders are top notch, service is great even when it is busy. The DJs are some of the best in the south. Security is good there is rarely any trouble and if there is it is handled quickly. The bathrooms are clean for a bar anyway

Went there last night and was told I couldnt come in with shades even after I showed my eyes. Ive had 5 eyelid surgeries and have to wear shades around certain lights. I was told by security and I asked to speak with the owner or manager on duty. He told me there was none, which is false! People of color be advised, I feel this establishment is not welcome to people of color. The disrespect cannot be overlooked and I spent great money with the business to the left called margaritas and beer. Im also an out of town visitor and there were literally 4 people of color out of 75 so I know why the security was being so RACIST.*EDIT THE DAY AFTER...As people can see from the owners response, dont go to this bar, definitely go the bar next door. Unprofessional & RACIST owners and security.

Allen, it is quite odd that you say this, and the owner acts like this! My buddy just went through the same thing, the worse part is, it was New Year’s Eve and everyone was partying and he got singled out, he was the only black man in the bar!!!And worse, the security was calling him racial slurs and yelling in his ear the entire time he was trying to close out his tab. So I don’t know where the owner gets off by saying he is around black people?!Good thing there is a court date because of what this escalated to. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for this place in the future!!

Best local bar in Slidell by far. Service is great, security is nice and the owner is very nice. I go there every time im in town.

Great bartenders and the owner as well. Make you feel like family. Fun, chill, quiet yet great music. Great place to hang out!
