The Salt Barn

I absolutely love this place. Calming environment and friendly staff. I have a water membership here and stop by once or twice a week. The water is amazing. The Salt Cave is my favorite service they provide. Personally I would skip the float tanks as I have used it a few times and there was other peoples hair & unknown things floating around in the water, but other than that 10/10!!

I must say my experience at The Salt Barn spa was just AMAzing! I called the business three weeks before my appointment to create a special moment for my man’s birthday. Anna answered the phone as I was first planning my appointment and she was awesome. My experience superseded my expectations. My man and I had the Foot Detox and a 30 minute massage. ILa, the massage therapist, offered a great massage. Anna also offered the sauna and salt cave experience at a complimentary expense.If you want a warm, welcoming spa experience, then go to The Salt Barn. 🙂

I had a good experience here a few weeks ago. I will probably go back to enjoy the salt bath and maybe another massage. The reason why I dropped a couple of stars is that I scheduled a prenatal massage, and specifically asked if they had a bed that allowed me to lay my stomach-down (in my last pregnancy I was able to get this type of massage). They told me over the phone that they did, but when I got to the room the day of my appointment the masseuse let me know they did not have the table that was promised. I honestly would not have booked had I known that I wouldnt be able to lay face-down throughout my massage. Also, she didnt massage any of my lower back/hips, which to me seems like a must for prenatal...Aside from that -- great location, spa menu selection, and vibe. I would go back for other services but not prenatal.

This is a great way to spend a few hours. I purchased a Couples detox package where my mom and I sat in sauna for 45 minutes, then relaxed in the salt cave and rounded it off with detox foot bath. We loved it! Go and support this local business fir some relaxation. All the staff were great as well! We will be back

I found a Groupon for The Salt Barn & decided to visit. The interior is decorated so well and is inviting. The salt cave is beautiful! It was incredibly serene with the lights & a built in water fall. It was a great space to relax and clear my mind. I was the only person in the cave. I’m not sure how the experience would be with other visitors present. I also booked a foot detox and it was an interesting experience. I would like to do more research on the benefits. The staff members were very friendly. I hope to visit again!

I’m thoroughly disappointed. My husband scheduled a bundle deal for me and scheduling was a nightmare. I finally got in and got a great massage from V (one of the only reasons this is not a one star). I came in the next day for a facial and the chair made my back hurt so bad I might as well not have had the massage. Later that day my face started burning and feeling so dry. It continually got worse to where I had to go to Dermatology. Not to mention that they charged $220 for services that with that bundle should have been closer to $175. The esthetician tried to lie and say she didn’t use any enzyme mask until my husband told her she told me she did. She also was extremely combative when he was just trying to figure out what it was so I could tell my dermatologist. Their solution was giving me a massage at cost. I was looking forward to it until I got stuck in traffic that extended my drive there by 40minute (it took me an hour instead of 20 min) and they said I’d get 15min. I have mercy for a lot, but the fact that every step we’ve met people that seem to not want our business and then not care that they are making up for an expensive dumpster fire experience when I’m less than 10min late. I will never be back and honestly regret ever going. V was the only good part of this.

Took my husband here to try out the float during his car accident recovery. He loved it and we will definitely be back for more sessions.

I don’t usually come back after a bad experience and give a positive review. The initial interaction was not a pleasant one with this company, but what separates a company from being a one time location for me and being a place I regularly go is when they remedy mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. Very few own up to them, and remedy the issue. The owner of this establishment took time out of her day to listen to my grievance, and made it right. If you are looking for a place to relax and get a good massage, look no further.

The people who work here were so super nice and helpful. They made the experience very nice. I got the salt cave and float. The salt cave was relaxing enough but it was too cold in there. I was offered a blanket and it helped but not enough. There are two options for the salt float, a pod or a large tub. Me and my sil both got the larger tub, and my other siblings got the pod. The large pool, while described as hot tub like, is very cold and also not relaxing. The pod I was told was very toasty, and my mil said she was even sweating on her face. After the float the shower has about 5 minutes of hot water, so you have to go fast if you have long hair. All in all the best part of my day was sitting in the massage chairs waiting on the rest of my party to get finished. They all got massages from Latoya, and had nothing but great compliments for her. All in all if you decide to try this, bring a bathing suit for warmth if you get the big tub, or just use the pod. Maybe the temperature varies depending on the weather? Idk but I was in my coat nearly the whole time.

My experience was lovely! The people were all so nice and informative. My husband and I opted for a QUIET salt room and we thoroughly ENJOYED! We will visit again (when its not my and the owners husbands birthday! I hope he enjoyed his birthday!)

Scheduling is terrible. I received a call 2 hrs before my scheduled massage to r/s. We work 8-5 and can only come in on weekends, which is why we scheduled a weekend day. Received another call back to move up the time for my wax appointment. Very draining and inconvenient. Cannot see the worth in it. :/

Absolutely amazing experience ✨ Amazingly friendly staff, clean facility, comfortable atmosphere, very personable and sweet and their massage for deep tissue is great! Especially loved the sensory float, absolutely worth it and close lid is great. Amazing time and will revisit often for certain!

The trip to the Salt Cave in Smyrna is beyond worth it & affordable. I love the staff & facility. Katies massages are so healing. The foot detox, salt water floats & salt cave are all top notch. I highly recommend this place of peaceful renewal.

So nice to go to a clean & proper place for a message and more for Me time. People are sweet, the product is in house crafted & made. However, be flexible and patient with scheduled appointments B-cuz they may change at last minute... but worth the rescheduling

What a unique experience!! I had so much relief from my sinus congestion afterwards. And they have great salt scrubs for purchase. Will definitely go back.

I went today with my sister and they were lovely! We both got a 30 minute facial and a massage. The staff were very informative and relaxing and we both just zoned out and enjoyed both services. My sister and I are larger and were worried they might take issue with that but they were not concerned or rude about it at all and the tables and chairs were sturdy. I will be back and my sister says any time she visits me she wants to go back with me.

Great way to help purify your lungs. If you have congestion you can’t shake come here and remember to take deep breathes! Great relaxation and the quietness of the room is calming. Staff is super friendly

My wife and I celebrated her birthday here. We walked away relaxed, happy, with extremely soft skin! Definitely try out the Detox package: foot bath, infrared suana, and salt cave. We feel so much lighter and our skin is sooooo soft! Definitely recommend this place! I posted a picture of my wife to show you how relaxed she became!

The salt cave was wonderful. Very relaxing and peaceful. I highly recommend it. But, the service was really bad. We were first time attendees, new to this whole thing. Nothing was explained, nothing. We asked about our belongings and were told to read a sign on the wall. It was cold, but there were no blankets. It kinda ruined the whole experience because we had no clue to what to do or where stuff was.

The staff was great!!! They made me feel at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I enjoyed it all(salt cave, ionic foot bath, massage) and when i left i felt so relaxed. The ionic foot bath really helped relieve the pain in my shoulder and knee. I cant wait to come back for my next one. Thanks ladies!!!!!

My wife and I were on vacation at a nearby campground and in need of a good massage. We went to The Salt Barn in Smyrna, TN. We were greeted by Jodi,who checked us in, while Mary was in and out of the reception area tending to her clients receiving the foot detox soak. Both were very friendly and accommodating. Our massages were scheduled with Kristen, who is a very talented licensed massage therapist . She took the time to discuss any problem areas we had that needed special attention. During the massage, she took special care and extra time with my hands and ankles as were discussed prior to my massage.. At the end of my massage, Kristen took the time to offer suggestions on how to stretch and massage my ankles and hands between visits. I will request Kristennext time and highly recommend her . My wife and I were extremely impressed by the superb customer service and the attention to detail that was given by the staff at the Salt Barn. It hasa beautiful and calming atmosphere, and the ladies and business are first class.

I would give more than 5 starts if I could!!! Ive been twice now and both times were amazing. The Salt Barn is clean, comfortable, and professional. Jodi and her staff are so nice and informative. Perfect spot to relax, detox, and feel refreshed. I HIGHLY recommend the salt cave. Extremely peaceful. Thank you Salt Barn!!

This was amazing! My boyfriend and I got the couples detox package, and it was insanely amazing. The staff was pleasant, very polite, sweet, very accommodating and helpful. The salt cave is amazing, so relaxing that we both fell asleep 😂. The sauna is the perfect size, a really amazing environment. I’d recommend this to anyone

Wonderful experience! The salt room is amazing. Its very relaxing and peaceful. It seats up to six people so I would recommend to go in a group of six so you can relax with people you know. The owner is very friendly and they make salt hand scrubs that you can buy that smell amazing!

I started going to the Salt Barn in 2019. I love the time in the salt cave, it seems to help with my allergies and asthma. It is very soothing and relaxing and I feel refreshed when I leave. One of my clients purchased me some more visits and even a treat in the Float Tank. I cant wait till my next visit.

First time customer went on a Tuesday round 11am they were able to work with me in pushing the time back til 12pm because we were a party and everybody needed to be there for the session to start. So they have a salt cave, float tank, infrared sauna, foot bath, merchandise for sale (scrubs, salt lamps.) We did the salt cave they have 7 recliner chairs that you have to manually recline and they have sessions by the hour so if you go by yourself you could be with a group or by yourself. Parking was not an issue for me. Great customer service satisfaction. Just wish they offered reflexology. Also check groupon before you go they always have specials.

Amazing place ,amazing stuff , I had recently suffered a loss in my life and my husband booked a spa day for me , I’m Muslim and wear very modest clothing I was afraid they would not understand my preference but I was very much wrong ,they were very kind and understanding and made sure I dress down to my comfort level . The place was clean and serene I did the float tank , massage and facial , it was calm peaceful and everything I needed to get through a thought time ,I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to treat themselves to a stress free day .

Sorry for the long review....this is my first time ever leaving a review but I want to provide valuable information because I ALWAYS read reviews for places before deciding on a place.A few friends and I decided to try the Salt Cave therapy and it was incredible! You are provided with little booties and a nice fuzzy blanket and led into a relaxing atmosphere. The lights are dimmed and for 45 mins and all you hear is calming music and the sounds of a waterfall. It is best to present 15 minutes early to ensure that you are able to place your belongings in a locker (provided by Salt Barn) and ask any questions.My best friend who has pretty serious allergies and cannot breathe majority of the time was able to breathe and she slept peacefully that night. In addition, the two ladies of the Salt Barn, were very friendly and knowledgeable about the services they offered. They answered any questions and were very patient with us. We will definitely be returning.

Kristen was our massage therapist and was very attentive to our needs. My husband and I each had 30 minute massages, followed by 45 minutes of total relaxation in the salt cave. We had a very pleasant and relaxing experience!

Went to the Salt Barn today & did the foot detox!! It was absolutely amazing, really enjoyed it! Very relaxing & peaceful atmosphere, decorated beautifully & very inviting! I will defiantly be returning! This girl is a customer for life! The owners were very friendly, helpful & seem to be genuinely good people!

Very nice experience !! Salt cave and floating tub are very cool. The lady did charge me 10 dollars over what I was suppose to be charged. But other than that everything was great!! Would definitely come back.

Just go here. Days later still feel great after the massage. The therapist will work with you to figure out the best way to handle your problems.Just tried the float tank and it was life changing.From front door receptionist to the people working there, it was a great experience.

My group and I received amazing services at this establishment and will return soon for more pampering. We completed a combination of things, ie. 30 minute floating session (1), foot detox(6), salt caves(4), facials(2), brow tinting(1), brow shaping(2), infrared sauna(2). They are really nice and they offer a lot of items for purchase.

Love love love this place! Sad I just in town for the weekend or I wouldve done more. My mom and I did the float room and I left feeling soooo relaxed. Great customer service. Groupon was also available for services. Would highly recommend and return.

Relaxation. Decompress. Float! No matter what you option of treatment/spa you choose, you will be greatly pleased. Try their products! The salt barn is a wonderful place to de-stress.

Great experience overall. Just wish there was more instruction for acknowledged first timers. Button for music/assistance was stuck so wasn’t able to cut it off & could hear all convos outside the door, felt rushed more than anything “Bc of another appt” but waited for my partner an extra 15-20 min. Maybe just try the pod floatation ONLY :)

Great place to relax and de-stress in the salt cave. I also had a foot detox and was amazed at how much impurities extracted from my body. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the different colors of the water from the foot detox.

Omg I went here for my birthday as a gift just to relax a little bit.. I was unsure but my girlfriend insisted.. went into the salt cave and when I tell you it was the most amazing feeling! I even got in a little nap 😂 this is a must try.. 10/10

The Salt Cave was relaxing enough. I do wish that it was a little more sound proof because you could hear the young lady and young man that worked there talking. It was a little distracting.

Oh wow. First experience here. It was something I will do again. The atmosphere was perfect, I dozed a few times to be honest. The music was perfect and the fountain was gentle enough ( sometimes places with fountains have an annoying drip about them, I didnt think this one did) Being my first experience I didnt know what exactly to expect but about 25 minutes or so in I noticed my throat seem to have drainage. I was a little concerned but remembered reading one of the best benefits is the lungs being cleared from this. I also had some tingling in my feet and my mom noticed some in her hands ( nothing alarming just noticeable) i felt great after I left the congestion didnt last long. I thought the staff was very kind and respectful during our session (little to no outside noises) I will be returning and wish their was one closer.

One of my favorite saunas around. Very clean, they offer a lot of other services, like float tanks, massages, foot detox, facials, etc. Highly recommend!

Martha did my Brow tint yesterday. She went over everything step by step with me on my brows, how to take care of them, and so on. I am hooked! I will be booking with her for my brows and Facials soon again!!
