LaVida Massage of Smyrna

My husband booked a massage for me here as a surprise and it was good. I did not enjoy that my massage therapist talked through the entire appointment but she gave a good massage so I just accepted it. I decided to book another massage for a little over a month out after an overseas trip. Unfortunately, I came down with COVID after my trip. I called the same day as my massage was scheduled (because you cant exactly schedule out being sick) and was still charged a 30 fee for same day cancellation. I get that business have policies like this for a reason but I also didnt ask to get sick so there could have been some leeway. I wont be going back, would rather find another location that has a slightly more professional feel.

Wonderful massage, I have been a few times now and tried different therapist. All of them did an amazing job. Very Professionally run business.

I do not typically write reviews, but feel compelled in this case. I have had a few massages here and each time have felt the service was subpar, not relaxing at all. The masseuses seem to rush through the massage, and they fumble around while switching positions - even moving a loud, squeaky chair multiple times throughout the process for them to be able to sit while massaging. As noted in another review, even the excess of talking and the volume that they use is disruptive to the process. Unfortunately, I have never had a tranquil and peaceful massage at this location, and thus have cancelled my subscription.

Had a great massage experience with Liz!!!I got a full body massage but explained my neck and shoulder issues and Liz listened to me.I have a 13 year old neck injury from a car accident. Liz help to relieve the tension in my neck and shoulders through pushing on the knots. My neck feels so good. I type and write a lot and she worked my forearms.She also did something that she didn’t have to do… she taught me a couple of neck and shoulder stretches. As this is a major pain point for me, I am so thrilled with her technique!I have already booked my appointment for next month.

I’ve never left a bad review in my life but they didn’t give me much choice and didn’t care to make things right. The woman who gave my massage didn’t even care to be there. I assume I was her last appointment of the day because there wasn’t any effort really. The best part is she went from massaging my feet straight to touching my face… oh so relaxing. When the owner Camila called she didn’t care to make things right or even offer to reimburse for the half service I got. Save your 90 bucks and go some place that cares about their customers. At least they gave me a cup of water on my way out though!

I decided to give this massage place a chance and I thought it was good at first. I initially wrote a glowing review for Major. However, Ive learned in my last two visits, that they add services onto your bill when you didnt ask for them and they didnt ask you about them in advance.For example, Major will put hot stones on your body without you asking for them - and then when you get to the front desk, they will charge you for the hot stones. At my most recent massage appointment, I point blank said repeatedly, I DO NOT WANT HOT STONES. When I get to the front, they said, Were not going to charge you for HOT STONES, but were going to charge you for the oil we used. HUH? I didnt ask for any special oil. And I certainly didnt ask if I was okay with being charged extra for oil.This completely feels like a BAIT and SWITCH. They wanna charge you for whatever they want to charge you whether you want it or not. They dont even have the common decency to ask you before hand. They may think this is cool, but it is totally unprofessional.Now, I have to look for another massage place who can be more professional!

I’m a regular, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Makenya is the GOAT when it comes to giving a massage that alleviates issues you may be having. Kudos to her. She’s definitely an asset the business

I was told to come early to my appointment. I booked a new client 60 min massage. When I got there the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and Liz my massage therapist was very prompt. She even took me a little earlier then my appointment. She asked me questions about what I wanted to achieve and problem areas. Then she addressed them with firm pressure and checked in on me to ensure there depth of pressure was ok. I felt very well taken care of and intend to return soon.

Called to set up a couples massage for 2 sisters to have some bonding time. I didnt give an email so someone called me back and threatened to cancle my massage because they couldnt email me the cancelation policy. First off, seems pretty dumb to cancle on someone for not knowing the rules about canceling but ok. Then when I called back to get them an email, the lady was rude and didnt know when my appoint was and scheduled it for the wrong time with the wrong options. They didnt make it a couples massage nor did they make it at the time I requested, they finally fixed the time but the type of massage was wrong but the ladies both said the massage was good. Just dont expect to get what you ask for.

Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and accommodating. As a first time customer, that made me feel at ease with the entire process. Im so tempted to get the membership for the discounted massages! Ill have to really think about it cuz its a good deal :)

I have read a lot of reviews, some negative and some positive. I will say that my experience was great. The online booking was easy. Lisa from reception called to confirm and she could not have been nicer. I arrived for my appointment early and had a nice conversation with her.My massage with Brenden was amazing. He listens to your needs and was so professional with the massage. I felt comfortable through the entire experience and became a member immediately following.If you have had a bad experience, I urge you to give them another try. Things could not have gone better for me.If you are still on the fence, I hope this review helps.

I went for a prenatal massage and it was great! My body feels so relaxed and my sleep has improved. The staff was really nice, the cost was reasonable, place was very clean and relaxing. My therapist was Vanessa and she performed an amazing job. I will be returning for more!

I received a massage from Ycianda. It went pretty well and she was very nice and we had a good conversation.. I started my cycle the day of so maybe a few things contributed but It’s been 2 days since I’ve gotten the massage and I’ve had a horrible headache, that still won’t go away, and I’ve tried taking medicine but that’s not working. I’m easily winded, dizzy, my back and neck are hurting really bad still and I can say I’ve never experienced this more than 1 day after a massage and I don’t even get them often. Hopefully as my cycle passes it goes away but it’s not normal that I’m feeling like this, I’ve never had this happen before.

This was my first time here and had a great prenatal massage by Vanessa! She did a great job and was very nice. It was clean and nice relaxing music playing. The new owner Greg was very friendly and nice!The only gripe I have is that there is a $10 upcharge for it being a prenatal massage which I assume is a LaVida thing. Theres no explanation as to why LaVida will charge $10 extra when it is a massage that just avoids certain pressure points..nothing extra special, no aromatherapy etc and I feel like it’s just an extra way for LaVida to make money off pregnant women.I will return once I have my baby and don’t have to pay an extra $10 for being pregnant lol

Im a military vet for starters. I booked online a 60-minute first-time customer massage for Tues evening 4-25-23 with Ycienda. The system took my credit card information and sent me an email confirmation as well. Upon arrival, I was dismayed with the news that for some odd reason, the system didnt book my appointment. This was conveyed to me by the woman working behind the counter. I believe Brittney was her name. Not only did I have them remove my credit card information, but I also notified my cc company to be on alert! I was told that the owner (Becky) would call, and of course, that never happened! So, for my fellow brothers and sisters active and veterans, avoid this place and any other establishment that requires a credit card just to book an appointment! You never know what could happen with your credit card! And please tell your friends and family.

I went and got a massage by Brendan and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had! I went in with very tight shoulder and a tight neck. Felt so much better leaving! He is amazing at the trigger point massages!

I love this place. Everyone have a favorite therapist, but I think Chelsea is the best. I have never had a bad massage with her. She always listen to my needs and she focus on those areas most. I feel so much better since she have been my therapist. Thank you for a job well done. James B

First time trying LaVida and had a great experience. Booking the appointment online was easy, the facilities were clean with a calming ambiance, and the woman at the front desk (I forget her name!) was so friendly, professional, and helpful. Beth did an amazing job on my massage - she is clearly very skilled and knowledgeable, and she focused on the areas that I requested. Definitely returning soon.

BEST massage I have ever had! Ycianda is incredible. She gets booked quickly and completely worth the wait!! The front desk staff was also incredibly professional, informative, and kind. Entire experience was wonderful! I booked Ycianda out for the entire year. Seriously, a religious experience. I melted into the table. I did 1 1/2hrs and would have paid for an extra half hour if she had time!

Ive been a member since they opened and my experience has always been very good. The atmosphere and the people are nice. Ive had 3 massage therapist and they all were exceptional. I love my current therapist Ycianda. She listens, is extremely knowledgeable, caring and gives my aching back relief. Its nice having LaVida in the neighborhood.

This was my first massage in about a year since Covid hit.Today was simply amazing. They are SUPER CLEAN which I appreciated. The receptionist was very professional and pleasant.I got a massage with Aimee and I must say this was the best experience I’ve have with a massage therapist. She makes you feel comfortable, important, relaxed and listens to your needs. I felt so relived after my massage. Made me wish I booked a 90 min instead of a 60 min lol.She has such a sweet soul and great conversation.I was so impressed with how amazing she was I got the monthly membership for 90 min massages and will be going to Aimee every month. I’m very happy with my service and very thankful to have met Aimee. You are the BEST! :)

Love this place and amazing staff. We have been members here just over a year and they are always wonderful. Tried a few therapists before finding a regular. They were all skillful. But I love that my therapist always asks about target areas, is gentle and firm, very thorough, and gives me tips for stretching and relaxation. I would give her a shoutout but I don’t want her to be too booked for me 😂

Their online appointment booking shows times as available when they arent and even if you do get an appointment they might cancel on you with less than 2 hours of notice.The only reason theyre getting two stars instead of one is because their staff is very polite and quick to communicate.I understand that things happen, but people are busy and cancelling appointments, especially with hardly any notice, is not a good way to make happy customers.

I received a massage by Ashley who was very professional as well as helpful with my pain. Once I advised her of my condition she took great care of me. ThereforeI will continue to get a massage once a week at least. LaVida is a place I will visit regularly and the atmosphere is so relaxing. The place is very clean as well . I had the best massage I’ve ever had with Aimee yesterday! She was so intuitive with me, and knew just what to do and where to do it the list. I’ve had many massages in my life so I have experience with both good, bad, and just okay. I’m not exaggerating -this was BY FAR the most amazing, wonderful, and healing massage ever!!! I also had a 30 minute reflexology session in conjunction with the massage, and it too was great. Thank you Aimee! I’ll be back to see you the next time I’m in the ATL!

Everything was wonderful! The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Checking in was easy, and the waiting area was very accommodating (water and a variety of teas). We booked a couples massage to celebrate our 5yr anniversary. The 2 therapists (Chelsea and Brenden) were absolutely perfect. They listened to our requests and made our couples massage dreamy. Like, literally!My husband was so relaxed, he was snoring 15 mins in!! LOL I think it was one if the best massages we have ever had! After having recent severe muscle spasms in my neck and back, I havent had any problems since my massage. They even talked with us post-massage about areas they noticed tension and gave us suggestions on how we can relieve that tension in those areas on our own. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!!

I lost track of how long it has been since I have been coming here, membership is a great deal if you are not already signed up! Owner was very kind to accommodate my cc type for membership when office no longer accepted that form, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, I usually dont have time to call the office to book a session during normal office hours with my crazy work schedule, so its nice having an after hour automated text to confirm/book services.Ive booked with various massage therapists at this location and they were ALL wonderful, no bad experiences. However, Aimee has been one that stood out for me as somehow she knew exact pressure to use and target areas to attack without me even having to mention. Didnt feel any soreness afterward either. She is so in tuned to your needs, and extremely knowledgeable.

Chelsea was very on point and applied the pressure that I needed. She also educated me on type of pain that I was having was siatic pain and I kinda thought it was but she confirmed it and recommend some yoga videos to watch on you-tube. Over all my experience was great!! I thought the last massage I had at another place was great but my massage with Chelsea was actually what I had been wanting for a long time. I will definitely be back requesting Chelsea. Thank you Chelsea for giving me the exact type of massage I have been needing for a long time!!

LaVida Massage is a great place to go for when you need time out.Its my place for peace and quiet and just enjoying some me time.When its time for your break make sure and go to LaVida for your relaxing massage, atmosphere and wonderful staff.

That was literally one of the best massages I’ve ever had. As an athlete, I really struggle to find a good masseuse outside of the chiropractor and when I tell you the therapist here really understand the body!!! The pressure was exactly what I needed as well. I highly recommend for those that need a sports massage.

I had an appointment this morning for 10am. I forgot and tried to make it. The receptionist/therapist stated it would just come out of my time which is one hour if late so I took my time got there at 1035am. I walked in and she said she already took someone back in my place so I can not have my 25 minutes thats left. Ashley the lady who was I was speaking with. Remind you she was also my Therapist. I asked why she said after 30 minutes then you can’t come. I was willing to pay for an extra 30 minutes or whatever was necessary to get it done. This location doesn’t have allot of availability and or therapists. I had to choose this appointment because the one I selected was not accepted. I am so mad I wasted my money on a place that does not care about customer retention. Being a therapist and lazy does not mix.

LaVida Massage has very nice, and attentive staff. Receptionists are very professional and organized, and the masseurs are amazing. I saw Ycianda, and Im eager to set up another appointment with her. The rooms are so calming and all of the music gives off such a relaxing aura. Would highly recommend.

My wife booked a massage for my birthday at this place. We drove from South Carolina so she can surprise me for a couples massage. We came with booked reservations just to be told that we couldn’t get one after traveling 5 hrs! They had no real reason why we could not get one and turned us around. She left out in tears with all her efforts gone down the drain! Thank you for bringing a cloudy day on a sunny day for us!

I’m posting this mostly as a precaution to tell future clients to (call and confirm your booking if you scheduled online). I scheduled an appointment online and entered my card information. I received a therapists name and a time slot, however the time slot I was given wasn’t actually available. I called the day after I booked to confirm and was told “idk what happened but we don’t have that time available” no one reached out to let me know that I didn’t actually have an appointment and I would have taken a 25 minute drive just to be turned away if I hadn’t called in myself to confirm. They need a better scheduling system. People’s time and scheduled plans should hold more value to the company.

Comfortable, clean, professional atmosphere. I got a 90 minute massage with Marianne, and she did a fantastic job. She was friendly and attentive and the massage was thorough and had the right amount of pressure.One of the best massages Ive had!

My husband scheduled a couples massage for my birthday because I needed and when we arrived the receptionist had him down for a personal massage. He then spoke with the owner who booked the appointment (that he confirmed with not me nice but twice) and she tells him that he basically didn’t say couples massage. I will not be back to this establishment what a waste of time considering how full Atlanta is and how hard it is to book anything.

Very friendly, on time, gave me all my time i paid for. Excellent ambience, good sized tables. Great first experience unlike a different location, i tried before. Ebonee was a pleasure, best massage Ive had in years. Still feeling the effects of the pain, pressure, and tension she relieved day later. I will be a regular.

Angela is amazing!!! I walked into LaVida on a Friday and they were able to get me in right away with Angela. She has 20 years of experience and it shows in how she tells you about what is going on with your body. She has the perfect touch.The facility is clean, calming & simplistic. My only complaints is that I wish they had a steam room. Also, when the music would get quiet I could hear the music from the restaurant next door playing (I am sensitive to sound/light so this may not be the case for others). It wasnt a huge issue and definitely wont stop me from returning.P.S.I signed up for their membership. Well worth it.

Oh, my god! I did not realize how badly I needed a massage! I suffer from chronic pain, and I noticed after sleeping wrong, that my shoulders were very stiff. I decided to go here, and I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did! My masseuse was very professional and tapered the massage to my needs. I walked out feeling soooo relaxed. Relaxed to the point that I couldnt remember the last time I felt this way! I slept through the night with out waking up in pain for the first time in a year. I will definitely go back! Also, just so you know, the staff were very friendly, everything felt very sanitary, and when I left, they politely asked if I would like a membership without putting pressure on me to get one. Go get a massage here. You wont regret it!!

My experience with Tiara was excellent. Tiara focused on exactly what I asked her. She was professional and informative about my next steps after the massage. Hands-down, this was the best massage I’ve ever experienced.

I had a one hour full-body massage. The massage therapist, Herb, was very professional and asked the right questions to target problem areas in my back and shoulders. He was also attentive to any feedback I gave during the massage and adjusted accordingly. Very comfortable, good communication and relaxing experience.

So my first time visiting LaVida was back in December. I had stopped by on my birthday for a first time visit and was more than happy I did. My massage therapist was very friendly and allowed me the entire 60 minutes for my message. I felt the benefits shortly after returning to my car.This past Sunday I decided to return. Without a membership, my message was $79.95 total. My appointment was set for 4:00pm, in which I arrived at 3:45 to be sure I was not late or running into my paid time. The message therapist did not greet me until 4:02pm, upon greeting me he walked me into my room and informed me that he would return shortly. I had noticed the time on my watch was at around 4:10 when he returned. I explained to him that I work at my desk all day and that my problem area is my lower back. To my surprise my lower back was completely neglected.I am completely unsatisfied with my experience for several reason. When the message was over, he left the room and I proceeded to get dressed, looking down at my watch again to realize it was only 4:47pm!!! Meaning I had just paid almost $80.00 for a 30-40 minute mediocre message. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you are looking for a full 60 minute message. This would not be the place to go. Especially if you are not a member.

This was the best day of my life! Upon entrance of the facility, lovely fragrances of aromatherapy greeted me. The venue is very clean and the ambiance is nice. The front hostess was extremely sweet, friendly and helpful. Once escorted to my room, my wellness tech, Ycienda entered and immediately started to assess my issues. I have FROZEN SHOULDER, never heard of it but she assessed it and then began to use pressure points to pinpoint the pain. AWESOME! She was so nice and very concerned. Once I was on the table, Ycienda worked on my pain issues throughly. I just melted Into the table while Inhaling the mixture of eucalyptus, frankensense, basil and chamomile; all in an attempt to soothe my mind, body and soul. The room was so comfortable and the heated table was a bonus. Once my session was over, I didnt want to leave! I felt rejuvenated, refreshed and renewed. Thanks to my therapist Ycienda, I was pain free! As a teacher, we stand on our feet long hours and use our arms and hands for everything. I am grateful to have finally found a place that offers not only relief, but a place to unwind. Consider me a regular after today.

If you’re looking for a clean, serene place with great massage therapists and reasonable prices, this is your place! I got the hot stones Swedish massage and was super relaxed after I left. One thing I’ll share: be sure to let your therapist know how much pressure to apply, and to turn on the bed warmers if you tend to get cold easily like I do. Also, the wellness plan is worth it so don’t forget to sign up before you leave!

I love that every massage is customized to whatever I need. My massage with Marianne was EXACTLY what I needed! I had been at work all day, my back was stiff, I had a tension headache and just needed to relax before going home! She worked on my shoulders, full back, and feet, and it was perfect! My back was completely loose and my tension headache was gone! I even fell asleep during my foot/calf massage!So grateful for a place I can go that offers custom massages. I always leave feeling like I got exactly what I needed!

Where do I begin…My husband scheduled the appointment for us to have a couples massage for today. He did not specify that he did not want a male massage therapist, and they gave him a male (Arkael) and gave me a female (Kim). Once back in the room, this was quickly resolved with him seeing Kim and me having my massage done by Arkael. I would just like to say…HIS LOSS! He gave up a grand opportunity with Arkael. I had never had a professional massage before and to be half naked in a room with someone you dont know, I was made to be extremely comfortable and he was very professional in the process. I felt energized when I left and could not have asked for a better first time experience. My husband said that Kim was great too but this is my review, lol, and Arkael is the bomb! We now how have the benefits package and I will be back to see him next month. Great experience! 😁

Ycianda is very knowledgeable about the body and muscular system. Although I felt pain at times during my massage, I feel no pain or soreness after leaving and today is two days later. The atmosphere at LaVida Massage of Smyrna was relaxing, calming and quiet. I chose to become a member. Yeah!!! Taking care of me!!!

LaVida is awesome. Were part of the monthly program an couldnt be happier. Becky and her staff take great care of you, and the therapists are incredibly effective. You wont be disappointed.

YALLLLLL THIS WAS SOOOOOO GREAT!!!! Me and my man were here July 5th at 12:15pm with Jimal(hope that’s right) and Ycianda who massage my man. But they were both GREATTTTT! We let them know are area that needed more attention and they definitely went above and beyond! This was our first professional massage and it was 1hour full body massage for both of us!!!! We thought 1 hour was too long but Time flew by!!! It was so relaxing and romantic! ❤️ I love y’all we will be coming back the service was excellent through the roof!

I have always had a great experience at LaVida Smyrna. I have used Aimee and Ebony depending upon availability and both are excellent and very kind. The front office staff is always professional and accommodating. Love this location!

The entire service was amazing. The customer service and the massages. The environment was very clean and relaxing. The therapist included us in our service and gave us options. I highly recommend and most definitely will visit again.

The massage therapist i had was very vocal about letting me choose what I wanted from essential oils to lotions. They tell you up front if what you want is an extra charge or not. I recommend getting the hot stones if you can!

I was expecting so much better! Especially after seeing all the 5 star reviews. I called and made my appointment today at about 11:30. I made it for Saturday at 10AM. Ive been really excited because this would be my first professional massage and my shoulders and upper back has been hurting me. Anyway, its 5pm I just got off work and I check my email. Ive recieved an email for the confirmation appointment, and then the next unread email was Lavida saying something happened with my appointment and Id have to reschedule for 11:15am. Ok thats fine, I could do that. So I called the number and spoke with a girl she rescheduled my appointment for 11:15am. I go on about my evening and I get another call from the receptionist. She said something happened with the 11:15am appontment time. The only time I could come in was 4pm. I wanted it in the morning because I had plans that evening... I could deal with 11:15. I am disappointed. I put a $30 deposit to set my appointment and my confirmation email said if Im not there at 10am Id have to pay that $30 for canceling. How are you going to make me pay a deposit, confirm my appointment, and then take it back? Not once but two times. Thats not professional. I hope to see my $30 refund if not Ill definitely be upset. Thanks for nothing

I received an email regarding my unspent HSA dollars. It was just sitting there all nice and fat. What am I suppose to do with these HSA dollars? MASSAGE!! Say less! Everything was great! Service was amazing, the atmosphere was very relaxing and calming. The massage from Brenden was amazing!!! Definitely will come back again!

It was ok./ I edited this for one reason only. I received a reply from Becky. I believe she is the owner. She asked me to call. Which I did. However she wasnt in. I left a message and my phone number and she never called back. That was unprofessional. So instead of 3 stars I now see this place as a one star type of business.

My massage therapist was nice and hospitable. Im not sure if it was me not being able to relax or the unfocused therapist that made me not enjoy this nor want to go back. We talked the whole session. It was draining.
