My first and last time staying here. I opened my door. I was greeted by the HEAD ROACH. I was told the room was $65. I was charged $74.75. The price is really good. But, you get what you pay for.

If I could give it a zero, I would. If you value your safety and sanity, I recommended going literally anywhere else. The place reeked and screamed unsafe. If that wasnt enough, there was no running water. We arrived at night and 5 minutes later, booked another hotel for that same night. Save yourself the hassle of having to too.

The room was a mess nothing in it was clean none of the bedding was changed the room had roaches mice and bed bugs roaches inside the microwave and mini fridge holes in walls stuffed with paper had no fire alarm the pictures of the property are very misleading truly a lie you would rather sleep in your vehicle

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!The stuff is friendly and helpful, but this won’t compensate for the horrible experience. Sticky floor, light and shower that are out of order, odd smell and bugs, almost everything annoying. The picture online was misleading.

Roaches & bed bugs🪳rats 🐀 Expedia needs to stop allowing these types of places on there websites this in not a hotel for humans. It is for the PBC Community...PEST, BUGS & CRITTERS

To all the people who wrote bad reviews, are you aware that you can sue them for all the Pain and suffering and damage, especially if they had bedbugs and you can call authorities and they can shut this place down

ROACHES AND BEDBUGS!!!We booked a room through a third party booking site for days. We didnt get in until 11pm the first night. We noticed roaches and were too tired to try to worry about another room until the following morning. The second we saw bedbugs we got out of there and tried to get a better room since we already paid $130!!! They said they wouldnt have anything until the morning after checkout. So we drove around for almost 8hrs because everything else was booked. At the checkout time they kept going around in circles about why they couldnt get another room wether it was because they were renovating or because they were booked. We finally just decided to call corporate but they couldnt give us our money back because I booked through the third party site. They told us to call the hotel because theyre responsible for the refund. We call back they just do happened to have another room available, but guess what??? ROACHES AND BEDBUGS!!! Were almost certain the entire place is infested, and of course still refused to give us a refund ZERO STARS!!!

The only positive things I can say about this dump are that I did not see any live bugs, and the guy at the counter was friendly. I realize you get what you pay for and all...but there should be SOME kind of standards even when its a $47 room. I stopped on a 17 hr road trip to close my eyes for a few hours, booked online, and when I pulled up I thought it was abandoned. There was no lit up sign and the parking lot and room lights were dim. The only people around were shady af dudes wandering the parking lot, one definite tweaker who was out pacing when I checked in around 11pm and when i left around 4am. The room stunk like smoke and had cigarette length burns on the toilet and bathroom sink. I didnt even bring my suitcase in-just dozed on top of the covers in the same clothes. The sink faucet shot out in 3 tiny sharp streams in all different directions and I struggled to even brush my teeth. I felt like I needed to watch my vehicle all night and did my best to not touch anything. There wasnt even a roller to put the toilet paper roll on. Just ew all around.

It was definitely an interesting stay. Refused to refund and had no other rooms available due to reno. Had no hot water No working T.V. Mini fridge didnt work. Lights in bathroom blew everytime you turn switch on. Police outside at 2am for a few hours with disorderly people. Would not recommend to anyone.

Unreal how Very dirty this place was ..they said we couldnt check-in for 20min because they was cleaning.. this room didnt look like it was cleaned in a very long time ...there was Cockroaches. Piss on toilet seat beds Stains on the beds it was Disgusting they would not do anything about it or refund our money we literally lefted and paid for a different hotel... this place should be shut down .... we could not stay and the changed us 599.00 per room for 3 nights thats we didnt even stay ...Unreal !

I mean for the price you can’t beat it. It is a very old motel so we knew what was expected. I have been around the area long enough to know this place has had a few different names and owners. So don’t book this place if your looking for more then a hot shower and a place to sleep for the night. But other then that for the price it doesn’t get any better then this. The front desk was friendly the rooms had hot water and cable. My husband and I were able to just be together have a hot shower drink a little and watch some tv and get a good night sleep till the morning. Food all around stores and gas stations. If that’s the kind of night your having then hey why not.. it’s worth the money you spend. Peace of quite and your safe for the most part police were everywhere

This is by far the worst and most grotesque motel i ever been. I was just gonna stay here for 6 hrs until my greyhound left. The guy on the phone got me a room and early check in around 12-1pm. I went to the room and it had no lock on the door, bugs everywhere, see so bad, the ac unit was broke and stuck on 78, the bathroom was gross, the bed was broken in half and had zero support. I couldn’t stay here. I immediately went back to get a refund and cancel my stay. It has been a week and they have not refunded me. Save yourself time, a headache , pay an extra $20 and go somewhere else.

THIS WAS THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED. The rooms were not cleaned at all. Feces in the toilet and couldn’t even sleep in the bed. Bed bugs everywhere and there were white stains under the sheets. You can infer what that means. Very sketchy people too. Cops came while I was there investigating a few creepy men about a missing girl. DO NOT GO HERE!

This is Oyo Motel is a real dump. It is worse than a dump and it is in Roseland, Indiana so the campus is five minutes from here!Whoever owns this trash heap clearly does not care about having a reputation. If you want to have a budget motel, that is fine but have some dignity about how you present your business!The fire alarm was removed and wires are sticking out of the wall. (Code enforcement violation!)I closed the door when I walked in. The door has not even been cleaned and looks like someone who played in the mud has come in and out of the door repeatedly. If you have white walls, you need to wash them after every occupant. Seriously wash the walls each time.If they decided to make this place a homeless shelter,I imagine people who are sleeping in the street would likely say No thanks. I will stay in the gutter here. It seems cleaner.

I could not imagine how a motel could get fewer than 2 stars, but I soon found out. I was in need of a place to stay with my kids for a busy football weekend, so I confirmed this room almost 4 months in advance. Literally, the Monday before the stay, I received an email that my reservation was canceled. I tried calling customer support, and their automated system simply confirmed what I already knew. It further explained that I could not speak to someone live, but there would be some way to chat which never materialized. I have been traveling extensively for over 30 years, and I have never experienced such poor and shady service. Now, I have no place to stay and may have no way to make our official college tour because of it. Bottom line: even if you are desperate for a place to stay, this place is not worth even taking a chance.

If i could select zero stars i would. First of all i got there and they told me my reservation was cancelled due to overbooking but i never received any notification. However, the person at the front desk said they had a room with a full size bed and told me to go look at it and see if it’ll work for us. On the way to the room i noticed there was a car on cinder blocks right in front of the room so that was a red flag. Then when i opened the door the real horror began. As soon as i opened the door it smelt musty and like cigarette smoke. I turned on the light and the first thing i noticed was the amount of cockroach’s crawling all over the walls. There was also ants everywhere. The bathroom floor was one of the grossest things I’ve ever seen and had black mold all over. And the walls had holes all over and wires hanging out. I walked out and refused to even stay at the property. This was by far the grossest place I’ve ever stepped foot in. Do not stay here. Sleep in your car if there’s no other available rooms in the area.

This motel was dirty, smelled like smoke in a non smoking room, the bathroom was not cleanly. My brothers and I did not feel comfortable staying there so we checked out a little after midnight and just made the drive home. Absolutely not worth any amount of money to stay at this hole.

-THERE WAS POOP ACTUALLY POOP IN THE SHOWERS AND ON THE TOIELT-COVERS WERE BROWN POOP COLOR AND HOLES-COULDN’T EVEN SIT DOWN ON THE BED-COULDNT BREATHE IN THE AIR ALL I SMELLED WAS THE POOP FROM THE RESTROOM

We were there two days ago, I had left within four hours of checking in. The room was NOT clean and COACHROACHES were all over the place. Im still trying to get a hold of someone for my refund, I had paid for two nights..IT WAS A NIGHTMARE, GROSS,FILTHY DIRTY..I was so disappointed!!!

When I drove up to this hotel there was no sign on the building. I continued to drive around because It looked like it was closed. the rooms had mattress against their windows and the ones without mattresses had curtain dropping and trash all along the outside. I continued to the back side and there were 4 cars in the lot. The building looked like it was condemned. I would have given this hotel a negative 5 unfit to be open for business. This hotel should be closed. I was unable to get a refund but I refused to stay in such a horrible hotel. One of their rooms had their door open and I was able to see that the room had the bed made. I went to another hotel across the street and it was worth paying the extra money.

Ive stayed at youth hostiles that are better kept. The room door barely opened. This is a run down former Roadway Inn travel lodge style hotel. The pool is closed and looks like a sewage treatment plant. the room, I swear we had bedbugs; felt little bites all night...must smell in the room and the towels...not sure they were washed in clean water or dirty water. They smelled clean, but they were not *white*.We were between a rock and a hard place on Memorial Day weekend when our original hotel in town oversold...this was the only place with rooms...we might have been better off sleeping in the car.Ive stayed in India at this chain...it is not a *hilton* nor a *marriot* nor should one expect that, but even for the OYO brand, this location did them a disservice...and at nearly $100 per night after taxes and fees...yeah...will not be returning...EVER!

Booked this hotel 3 month before a concert. Confirmed reservation a month before concert. 2 days before concert they sent an email saying that they canceled my reservation because of unforeseen circumstances. I checked back on their website and they still were booking rooms for the night of my concert. The rate was just 3x higher. They legit canceled my reservation because i was proactive and got a decent rate, and they realized they could make more money canceling my reservation and taking others. This hotel is obviously a dirty cheap hotel, but the way they run business is trash and sketchy too. Don’t book here if you want to actually have a room available for you.

Worst place ever stayed. The sign was painted over saying Way Inn but i was looking for OYO? I rhought itvwas the wrong place. The Tv said no signal. One lil thin bath towel and for my face it was a little one, thin , ripped and had a stain. So much for a morning shower. The shower curtain was a nasty white one , no longer white.I Didnt know when check out time was couldnt call the front desk because no phone in the room. I had to keep putting the handle back on the inside to open the door. kind of dangerous if it was a fire. No night stand between the beds for things I need at night. Toilet was dirty around bottom. Wobbled, broke off from floor. Over all nightmare. Went to bed and couldnt wait to check out in the morning. I was so disappointed because it was supposed to be a get away

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL...MATTER OF LIFE AND SAFETY.I looked at the pictures online before booking. Picture must be from the grand opening. I needed a hotel in South Bend/Mishawaka area due to storm causing a power outage. The last pet friendly hotel in the area on Saturday June 26 at 11pm.I called, asked alot of questions because I had not heard of OYO Hotel. I was told it was started by a college student who dropped out and parents told him he was On Your Own = OYO at that point.I booked the pet friendly hotel over the phone, mentioned I had a dog. was quoted and charged the pet fee.Had that oh no what have a gotten myself into feeling as I pulled in the lot. I told myself it is just for 1 night and I have a dog for protection.Picked up my hotel key in the office, asked for 1st floor easier for outdoor access for pet. Was told no rooms available on the 1st floor.Park right under the window of room 222 and got my things and dog out of car. Let her do her business before heading to room.Two men start walking towards us and ask if we were staying in the hotel. I said I just spoke with you in the lobby. I didnt know the other guy with him. They said you cannot stay in that room with a dog but we have one on the 1st level just follow us. I asked dont I need a new room key? They said they had taken care of it and showed me a card. I said I asked for 1st floor and you said there were none available. They said we didnt know you had a dog with you until we saw you on the cameras, so we do have one for pets on 1st floor. I followed but felt uneasy and stopped as they turned the corner out of sight. I loudly said I dont feel comfortable and I am not staying here. This seems very shady. Got back in my car and called the booking line and it was busy. The man I didnt meet in the office knocked on my window and said I need your room key back. I asked why? I didnt even make it to the room before you stopped me. He said I have to be sure the room is OK and not damaged. AGAIN I said I never even made it to the room and your cameras showed you that as you prepared my new room key! I would like a refund. He said he didnt handle that but needed to check the room. I gave him the key and waited for him to check the room. I have put in a claim I will probably never hear back on for a refund. BUT I AM SAFE AND ALIVE.

This chain is a disaster. Should be 0 stars. At the very least you should have lights, shower, and a clean place and bed to sleep in. I had none of the above. No light bulbs in the lamps. Electrical problem in the bathroom. Woke up to insect bites all over. All issues reported and given the chance to be fixed....nothing was. Paid 20 extra dollars for early check in to shower and change before a funeral. Didnt expect to have to provide my own towels. Definitely no place for young children. Very, very, dirty.

I paid for a week and was not never told that they don’t do returns. I was there for one night and had to call the cops because the guy next door was beating his girlfriend and slamming her against the wall and when I told the front desk they said to ignore it. They would not call the cops. Then the next morning I woke up to them doing a drug bust in the room on the other side. I paid $320 to stay a week and only stayed one night because they keep clef me out for calling the cops on my neighbor and they refused to give my money back because they said I had already caused enough problems. And a homeless lady was breaking into the rooms she tried to get on mine but my dogs scared her.

Terrible. I mean cheap doesnt have to be dirty. This gets zero stars from me. Took a room and ended up sleeping in my car. From bugs crawling to a dirty toilet n bathroom, there was no way I could sleep in there. Absolutely DIRTY. Washing sheets n cleaning the floor doesnt cost that much. The pic advertised with a white sheets n red oyo looks nothing close to what u get as a room. Im never picky but this was beyond TERRIBLE. I did say something to management, hopefully they can atleast clean rooms before renting out. Really 👎 bad.

Extremely horrific place. I have pictures if anybody would like to see them. Just text me with the reason for your text. This place needs reported to the Better Business Bureu. The place needs to be condemned. My number for text to see pics of the room is eight one four three six six four one three one. It would be nice to get a full refund asap. To top it off, the front desk person took it upon himself to try and enter the room without knocking or anything once we were in it. The walls are super paper thin. Had to listen to people slappin skin all night. TALK ABOUT NASTY!!!!

Not very clean. Mold on shower curtain and yellow, crispy looking wash cloths, among other issues. Bed was comfortable and clean, but the general lack of cleanliness made it hard to relax and be confident I wasnt sleeping in bed bugs or some other nasty surprise.

The hotel was in disrepair. There was no sigh indicating where to find it. Several broken windows. The heat only worked on and off. The fridge didnt work so I wasnt able to store my medication. The vending and ice machines didnt work. You had to buy from the front desk with cash only. No ATM on premises. No housekeeping so no one emptied trash, changed linens, or replaced the towels. When I complained I was told Thats what you get for paying 52.00 for a room. ARE YOU SERIOUS? This was the worst place I have EVER stayed in!!! It shouldnt even be open to the public. I was told that since I booked 2 night I wasnt entitled to a refund! I am COMPLETELY DISGUSTED WITH the whole stay!

Didnt get one of those nice rooms with the red pillows. Paid a week in advance and asked to leave due to dissapointment in the cleanliness of the room. Guess you cant beat 250 a week. But theres a no refund policyThis is the last time Ill be staying here.

BEWARE if you book online! I stayed here for 4 weeks and just realized they were double charging me on about 50% of my bookings. After calling corporate office I was given a refund of 1 night ($42) and they had double charged me for $150. Needless to say I have taken this up with my credit card company.

Horrible. We walked out risking losing our payment. Wouldnt stay here if you paid me. This hotel in portage still had the super 8 sign up. No bed skirt even. Old. Window treatments falling apart. Washer and dryer in the hallway. I think this is a transient Hotel.

Not your family getaway motel. Yes its cheap but has its down falls. It still has its people you dont want be friendly towards. Owner trying fix up the rooms. Beds are old and worn. I say you like cheap and old heres your place. Plus county police u.s. marshals are a lots times. Good luck to everyone reading this

DO NOT BOOK! Absolute trash place. They won’t let you cancel in person but make you go through a middle-man on the phone. Worst customer service ever. Can’t wait for the generic response to this telling me they are sorry. They don’t care and it’s evident when you pull-up.

I will never stay at that hotel again they had roaches they was rude shower curtain with messed up I did get bit by a bed bug bathroom door didnt close all the way so had to take a shower with the door open for 179 I will never again

Lol this motel don’t look nothing like the pics it’s so dusty. I don’t know why the city of rose land keeps this open. It’s disgusting. Dirty mattresses out by the trash. Smh if you stay here you must not mind carry a few beg bugs home.

I booked a 3-day stay and then had to immediately cancel. Oyo has decided to keep the 178.00 for the hotel. They are thieves and scammers do not ever booked with this company. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as with Expedia

THIS HOTEL SHOULD BE CLOSED.Incredibly dangerous and in poor condition.We found the beds with the “whites” broken, insects throughout the room, traces of violence in the room such as blood stains all over the room and fist bumps on the walls and doors, a super strong smell of cigarettes and snot stains. all over the bathroom wall.A disgusting and dangerous hotel.
