After losing my hair a second time to chemo and ending up with “chemo curls” and a thick curly pixie mess 10 months later, I made my appointment with Remi. (I was going to start going to him after all the rave reviews, but of course, didn’t need to go). First off, he remembered me from nearly a year ago and thoughtfully asked how I was. He fixed me up into a cute pixie I absolutely love! Took the time to show me different products I can use whether I go straight pixie or the au natural wavy curls I still have. Remi is a great conversationalist and warm person all around. I walked out today feeling like a model! Thank you Remi so very much.

Remi was recommended to me by a friend. He took 1 look at my curly mess & knew what it needed. To quote Remi, I now have happy curls instead of East to West curls. I had a customer stop in my office today & exclaimed your hair! Im taking that as a win! But Remi has another skill, to totally lift you up. My appointment was in the evening after a difficult work day & I wasnt in the best frame of mind. Remi was absolutely wonderful! The second I sat down I knew I was in good hands. Just moved down to Florida and had to try out a new salon, which we all know is nerve wracking. I came into this studio for the first time with a horrible bleached ombre from a couple months back that grew out, with little to none expectations of getting my hair back to its beautiful natural color. Although typically closed on Sunday, Remi voluntarily came in on his day off to cut my hair. Suzanne has been doing my hair for a number of years now. I followed her from two of the salons that she worked at. She is just an expert at what she does. she always has patience to listen to what I want and generally can do anything I request from a picture or my description. Whether its long or short she does a fantastic job on my hair.

I came in wanting to get a nice fresh cut. My hair desperately needed to be fixed since a previous hairstylist completely butchered it up. Not only did he fix it up he completely exceeded my expectations and cleaned it up very nicely! He communicated his creative ideas every step of the way on what he was doing and or fixing since I came in without reference pictures. I trusted him on his professionalism, talents, and creativity. Not only that but he was very understanding and accommodating to my newborn baby being with me and just the overall experience I had was definitely one of the best!

I waited 4 weeks to write this review because I was so angry at the way my hair was cut. Remi cut my hair. He did not discuss what he would be doing just started cutting saying I had thin hair and needed a more manageable cut. He cut it so short that I won’t need a haircut for another 6-8 months. My hair is now very hard to manage because it is so short. I will not be returning to this salon….ever.

There is not enough room to describe the absolute fantastic experience at Remis. Wonderful small salon with character. Remi was tasked with correcting a botched coloring job from another hair salon in the area.He not only corrected it, but gave me what I initially asked for in less time and at an afforable price, and made me feel happy about my hair. Beyond that, the conversation was stimulating, fun and full of stories about travel and culture. If you have not been there, I urge you to go. Your will not be sorry!

I had a massage with Galina today, and it was absolutely magical! I had a pinched nerve in my neck a few months back and have been suffering with discomfort ever since. It all melted away! I can’t wait to go back. Her space was clean and soothing. I left feeling totally relaxed.

Going to a new hair stylist is never easy. Im relatively new to the area and wasnt sure who to ask for a recommendation. The first salon I went to made me feel like I didnt belong there. So, I relied on trusty Google and Remis was listed as one of the top 10—should be #1 on the list!! The salon is cozy and welcoming, a real family feeling as everyone, (and I mean customers as well as staff) was chatty and friendly. Remi and Susanne know a lot about their customers. After a visit to an out of town salon that left me looking like a Duracell battery, I was nervous to try another, especially as it was Halloween! After reading reviews that basically stated that Remi was a wiz with color, I decided to give him a try. I had a wonderful experience! Remi explained everything about balancing the color to bring warmth without pulling copper to my hair. I am very happy with the results. Highly recommend.

Hands down this is the best haircut I’ve ever had. I have long, black, coarse Asian hair and my biggest problem is the weight and extra body it holds, especially at the ends. Remi used a technique I’ve never seen before that totally corrected this for me. My new look reminds me of the hairstyles on the show Friends, but without the Hollywood price tag! I wish I had taken before and after photos to document the dramatic change. Remi is truly an artist! I will never go anywhere else!

I went to Remi last second last Saturday afternoon after another salon made some mistakes highlighting my hair. I had a celebration of life for my father that day and I wanted to look nice. Remi was fully booked but fit me in after hearing my situation. He completely redid my hair and even lightened my eyebrows for free; all in 45 minutes. The services included highlighting, toner, and eyebrows. He is a true artist and extremely nice! It feels like family stepping into his salon. My advice is to book him early and often as he has quite a following in the area. While I was there he was working with a 22 year old senior from UT that he had been cutting her hair for 19 years! I highly recommend Remis Salon for locals and vacationers alike. 5 stars and outstanding service 👏

In Venice FL is difficult to find a good hair salon, especially for a picky person like me coming from Miami where there are plenty of excellent hair salons. Remi is more than excellent, he fixed a couple of issues other hair stylists left in my hair, he is personable, very talented, and charismatic. I came in with a horrible haircut from another local salon and Re’mi was marvelous. He colored all the gray roots and matched my color perfectly with my natural color erasing all the grey. Then he made a beautiful cut and style out of the uneven and chopped mess I came in with. All while being so welcoming and and professional. He just kept reassuring me he would make it look better. It’s a conveniently easy location to get to and find parking in a historical building as well as clean. His wife Gilina does massage as well which I had a 90 min massage a few days later and what a relaxing and regenerative experience. They both are a wonder team and make you feel like long time friends and really care about your thoughts about there work. If your in the need for a great stylist or massage therapist you can’t go wrong with this salon and they are reasonably priced too another plus. First class all the way. I’ve had many massages by different people over the years so it is a big statement to say that she was one of the BEST. There were a few little stretches she incorporated to stretch my spine and it felt incredible. The hour and a half massage flew by. I was so relaxed and my muscles felt less tight. Wonderful experience!I called last minute and Remi accommodated my three children and mother by bringing in Susan who was “on call” with in 45 minutes.We met interesting and friendly clients while we we in the salon. Remi and Susan were fun and professional. We will be back.
