Hi..I had been here in the past, and received good massages. Recently, I had a half hour massage with David. It was amazing. He gave 150 % effort, and I appreciated it. The staff was warm and nice. They often accommodate me last minute. Its clean and relaxing. I feel comfortable there. I recommend it.

The sheets I laid on smelled like they were reused. The massage was good, but. The cashier lady didn’t like the tip I was gonna leave. So she pushed me and made me feel uncomfortable until I paid her 10 more dollars. I’m really scared of her, I thought she was gonna attack me

I went for a massage yesterday. This was once my favorite places. However, 2 out of 2 times that I had a male therapist, I was groped and touched inappropriately. I’m not sure I can even call this guy a therapist. It was more of a rub down than anything. I, myself, am a licensed therapist, so I know a good massage and a bad massage when I get oneYesterday, a guy named Jerry massaged me. I think he thought I was sleeping and grazed my lower lady parts. I squirmed and moved around and said “nope”. But he doesn’t speak English. Then, when I was clearly awake, he tried to massage my breasts. he attempted to rub my nipples and I shirked him off. He was massaging my chest so close to my breasts the rest of the time, doing his best to cop a feel. He actually got so rough that I had to tell him to go softer.Once I had flipped over onto my back, all of his attention was on my lady parts. There were so many times that he left me undraped and I had to put the towel back on Myself.Normally I love this place. But every time i have a male therapist, I get touched inappropriately.But to make matters worse, I tipped 20$ and one of the women said, “ u only tip 20 dollars? U got 2 hour massage. Tip more.” I couldn’t believe that she actually told me and directed me to tip more. Normally, I do. But I was not pleased with the service I got and the lack of therapeutics.I didn’t want to argue, so I gave another 15$, but I did say “I can’t believe you’re asking for a bigger tip from Me. This is a very odd experience. I’ve never been asked to tip more. I never ask my clients for tips at all. Tips are not expected payment. It is extra payment for when the service is exceptional.”Some how, they thought I said “happy new year” then nodded and said “ooo happy new yeaaaar”.I walked out very displeased and also disgusted. I’ve been going here for years and this treatment was absolutely unacceptable and I am done with this place.What a shame. Ive been here a few times. Always a great massage. And pleasant staff.They were reluctant to give me cash change to tip at my discretion. I will not be back. Perhaps the extra $2 was worth a lost customer 🤔😂

Amazing massage. I was able to get deep tissue and get relief from a migraine i had all day. I spoke to Lisa the owner, she was super nice. I had a male massagetherapist. He was respectful and professional. l felt safe here. Definitely will come back. One thing I wish they had is hot stones. I would pay extra for this.

I have been going here for many years - normally get a 90 minute massage and tip $20. I have never had a problem until 1/7/23. It was the worst massage I have gotten from there. She was very slow at some points felt like she was falling to sleep. She left the room 5 times. Even had to say sorry at one point because she left room so many times. Never massaged my arms/hands. Quick sweep over my legs and feet. Started on me at 3:45 and the buzzer rang at 5:05. Not sure I will return but if you do- ask to see timer before they start to make sure you are getting full time you are paying for. I am kicking myself for giving my normal tip when she should have gotten less.

I’ve been coming to this place for over 5 years although I know that the customer service is not good at all, but there are some good therapists! I usually get a 1 hour massage and tip anywhere from $10-15, I can tell some of them expect higher tips because of the attitude but I’ve let go. However today, 12-7-22 I got a massage for less than an hour, the therapist stopped a lot throughout the massage, stepped out for approximately 5 mins just to get a towel and never give me the free hot stone treatment. Her technique was not so good either, thus I tipped her $7. It’s unbelievable to say that she told me it was not good enough tip and of course I took it back. This lady GRABBED ME FROM MY SLEEVE ASKING TO GIVE HER THE TIP BACK. I even thought of calling the police because she behaved aggressively and started yelling, telling me that I shouldn’t come back! Hell no, I’m not! So please if you go to Pompton Spa be ready to tip at least $20 to keep them happy! Worst experience ever!!!

Went with my 2 daughters to get massage. They said $60 for 60 mins, which was fine. That was my daughters first massage and they were not happy. So I offered them $20 tip. The lady said no I have to pay $45 for the least. Didnt wanted to fight them so paid it. Now Im seeing my card charged $237. What a rip off. Never going back there! They were not friendly and was just all about the money. Massage wasnt good. The lady seemed tired and didnt even massage my lower legs.

Very weak and poor quality massage. Basically felt like someone running their hands back and forth across your skin for 60 minutes. No deep pressure work--nothing relaxing about it. Also, they rip you off. I went with a friend so our bill for two hour long massages at $50/hour was obviously $100. When I went to pay, I told the cashier to ring me up for $125 including the tip for both massages. She said...how about $130? Because I didnt like the massage that much anyway, I said no...$125 is fine. However, when I looked at what I got charged on my debit card, the total spa charge was $131.63. So the cashier did go ahead and charge more to my card than I authorized--to improve the tip she didnt think was significant enough. Im not going to fight it for 5 bucks, but seriously. Very shady. And it wasnt even a good massage. Go somewhere else and get better service and treatment as a customer. This place is greedy and to be frank, sucks.

Gave a 20 dollar tip, she said it’s not enough to give minimum 30. Will never come here again!

My Physical therapist recommended this spot about a year ago and I finally had a chance to go. It was clean and the staff was professional, friendly and adjust the pressure when you ask the. AND the price is $60 for 60 mins. An older guy did the massage and he didnt speak much English just enough to communicate with me. What more do I need? Nothing! Its the perfect no frills spa.

Updated Review - Recently had a massage, my first time not seeing Kevin. It was easily the worst massage of my life, I couldn’t wait for it to be over. The lady didn’t pretend to try, she basically softly and randomly touched my back for 45 minutes. I had to request oil and hot stones. She suggested that I request a man the next time. She was unapologetic and completely disengaged.Second time going here. I highly recommend Kevin. Not only are their rates extremely affordable but I found the workers to be polite and the establishment is clean. The workers are taking the necessary covid precautions and I felt overall safe. I’ve gotten massages from many different establishments and I can confidently recommend this establishment.

I have been going to this spa since last 3 years and never had any issues until now - during my last 60-min massage visit, the masseuse just rubbed my upper shoulders and aggressively pressed my neck, after several requests to stop and/or go soft, he stopped after I yelled. Once the manager came, she laughed on my face and said, just pay for 45 min. I was shocked! I was in a towel listening to this manager make fun of me; I was shamed and disrespected. Never will I go or recommend this spa!

I think ownership has changed and the quality of the massage had declined while the price has gone up. Felt like the massuese was not very skilled in the art of massage. I miss my old masseuse that I used to visit. I dont feel relaxed at all.

The prices are decent. $40 for a 1 hour massage. That was the only positive. Here come the negatives. The massage was not 60 minutes. It was about 45 minutes. They did not ask where you would like the massage to be focused on. When I go to pay I go to give a tip and they said that the tip wasnt enough. Its a GRATUITY!! Never going back

Amazing atmosphere.great staff and very skilled therapists.found them based on google reviews and happy I did.Since I work physically (roofs, AC Units Boilers Heaters) i am in constant muscle aches. So far best massage in my area for the price.Thank you.

I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. So unprofessional and to be honest, a bit sketchy.My husband gave me a gift certificate for a 90 minute massage last Mothers day. Despite reading some bad reviews on the place, I decided to give it a chance since I obviously didnt want it to go to waste when he spent so much on it and it was close to expiring.First off, the lady I had told me to let her know if she was massaging too hard. At first it was fine, but at some point it became downright painful, which I told her. Despite that, she continued to do it way too strongly and  now my entire body is in so much pain.Second, after the massage, I gave her the gift card (which I showed her once I even entered the place) then a tip. She had the nerve to tell me she wants more money for the tip since she spent an hour with me.  Who does that? I told her that the whole massage was already paid for and that the gratuity is what I want to give (which was 15%) she started pouting and went on about how she should get more and that tipping there isnt like tipping in a restaurant. My goodness, talk about bad business etiquette! So much for relieving my stress! Shes lucky I gave her anything at all after all that. I would never go back to this place and hope my husband goes to a more legit place next time he wants to gift me with a spa treatment.Dont know if this was the owner I was dealing with or just another employee, but either way these people need to be better trained when dealing with their customers .  Not to mention I did not see any license and feel that this place that is open 7 days a week till 10pm might not be such a savory place as what you might expect from a nice town like Verona.

They say don’t judge a book by it’s cover but in this case you can. I called to schedule an appointment for a much needed massage ($45 for 60 mins) and was able to schedule it for after work same day which was good. I arrived and pulled around to the back lot and parked. Entered and the feel was a bit creepy and I was escorted immediately into a room. No one said a word to me except “follow.” Into a stark bright room I go with a glass pane of glass on the door as I undress. Fast forward - massage w “baby oil” and mostly rough towel on top of me was fine = not awful but not good. I walked out to the front desk and hand the girl my credit card while the therapist stands beside me. I ask if the tip can be on the card or must it be cash. Response “cash!” I ask for change of a $20, she gives me a ten and two fives. I ask for singles and receive them. As I’m counting out the $8 tip the therapist shouts “no, $10, must be $10!” I explain to her this is just shy of 20% and I wasn’t thrilled. She continues to shout at me $10 tip!! She huffs and puffs (no exaggeration) and storms off w her $8 tip in hand. At this point - pure principal, she was not getting a dollar more from me and needless to say I will never be back. Beware!! Went in stressed and left stressed - not good!

When they opened, getting a massage changed from an extravagance to an anytime thing. $50. Big chains were double the price. Why wait for a special occasion? Bright, clean, professional. I shouldnt have to say this, but I will - totally legit, clean, and Covid safe. Glad to have them in my neighborhood.

This place is joke! Called on the phone before coming in & was told by a female employee a 60 minute massage was $40. Drove there, went in, male worker escorted me to massage room were the massage was very unprofessional. Very random. Not like a professional massage at all. Kinda like, “ hey honey can you give me a massage.” & you get a weak rub down. But wait folks there’s more ... so after this joke of a massage I come out to pay & as the female worker has my debit card in her hand she changes the price from $40 to $60+ demanding that a tip fee & verification debit card fee be added to the debit card. Refusing to give me back my debit card. I should have contacted the police. TIPS is short for To Insure Proper Service. TIPS are not mandatory & there is no verification fee that’s what a debit card PIN number is for. & it’s not like I wasn’t going to Tip she demanded more Tip & stated the tips are $20+ not lower. LIES!!! These people are crooks & thieves. Sneaky thieving Asians. Will NOT be going back. Right down the street Massage Envy does it better & is way more professional. Stop false advertising with $40 massages but charging $60+ when it’s over. P.S. Me No Love You Long Time... Crooks!

The Pompton Spa is a great neighborhood place to go for an affordable, good massage. Its always clean, and the staff is very friendly and competent. I strongly recommend Tina , as she does a great job always . Plus, shes very nice !! And, very knowledgeable. ALL of the guys i know also book with Tina . The massage is always top notch, excellent, and very thorough .

Had very bad experience ! I went without appointment and was led to a room. I got ready and lay on bed ready for massage, but the lady came and said I have to leave since appointment arrived ! They could have told me to come later or all busy now.

The Pompton Massage is one of the places where you can get the best quality massage for a very competitive price. The massagists are professional and attentive to your needs. I go there on the regular basis and I have recommended this spa to all my friends.

Sheet on bed was dirty and had stain I gad to ask girl to change it.Why is there a towel and not a nice bla nkjet likje every other nice place. You walk in anbd it looks very nice but the beds need to be replaced send updated ASAP.The therapists need to speak English do they can communicate and understand what we want done,as customers.They have to be able to communicate much better. Dont care where they are from, English is a must, so there is no misunderstanding and customer isnt receiving too much pressure which can cause them pain later that day or next day .Each therapists Must be licensed and their license should be Visible for their properlsee.They should be professionally dressed all e here same uniform as most other quality places . I hope the Owners read this and make these immediate changes so people will want to return there, But make sure the Therapists are Truly licensed and trained properly as I was very disappointed with my massage a d therapist today. I had to direct her and tell her where and what to change. Seemed very Inexperienced. Wouldnt use her again.

Got a massage by Tina she was Fantastic! She was considerate and very competent she asked if I wanted harder or softer and she was perfect did everything I could of wanted !! Definitely will be back !

Stay away from this place!!! Horrible customer service, if you pay with a credit card they will over charge you without your consent. PAY for one hour massage get 45 minutes. Never going back

Had a beautiful, professional, perfect massage by a the male masseuse on Saturday afternoon. Loved the addition of hot stones. Absolutely amazing.

The owner switched my masseuse with another masseuse in the middle of my 1 hour session. When asked about it she said a VIP arrived and was asking for my masseuse. What a bomber.

They tell its $40 when you are ready to pay, but when you give them your credit card, they charge you for a $10 tip without asking and $4 + for taxes without telling you. Terrible!
