ZEN Foot Spa

I was given a gift certificate for a 60 minute foot massage for my birthday. First, I had an appointment at 2:30. They called me at 2:15 (I was almost there), and I was told that they are busy and could not take me until 3:15. Second, there is a language barrier and communication is not always easy. I was originally put in a room and told to take off my clothes for the massage. I had to reiterate to them several times that I was only here for a foot massage which is what the gift certificate clearly stated. Once that was clear, they tried to tell me that I could add money on it and get a fully body massage. Again, I only want my foot massage! Third, when they finally realized I wanted only my foot massage, during the first 20 minutes of my massage, the three ladies that were working, talked to one another in their language back and forth. I am there to relax and enjoy a peaceful experience. It was not. But, my last point is the worst one! The person that gave me the gift certificate advised me that she had paid the tip when she bought it. However, the gift certificate did not say that. (NOTE: If you get a person a gift certificate and pay the tip, make the company reference it on the certificate). Lesson learned. When it was time to leave, I advised them about the tip and was told that there was no tip added on and that I needed to pay a tip before leaving. I asked if I could check with the person that gave me the gift card and they told me, I could not leave until I paid the tip! When did tips become mandatory?!?! I was getting upset and just wanted out of there because they were arguing with me about it, so I asked if I could tip with a credit card (as had no cash on me) and they replied yes. I gave my credit card to them and they asked how much. I told them $7.00 which was 18%. I was a bit frustrated with the confusion about the tip to begin with and felt that they should have told me no problem and be on my way since my gift giver told me she had paid it. Isnt the customer supposed to be right? They argued with me about it. When I finally agreed to pay the tip and said $7.00, they spoke between themselves which I could not understand and came back and told me I needed to pay $10 for the tip!!! You are forcing me to tip and now telling me how much! I was stunned and infuriated! And, while my massage was pretty good, the tip AND especially the amount are still optional! So, I agreed to $10 as didnt feel like I had a choice and then I was still charged $11 because then they have a credit card fee. It has been a few weeks and Im still in shock over the entire experience. My relaxation that I was supposed to be experiencing was gone before I ever walked out their door. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. I will find a place that knows how to treat their customers!

Me and my wife always go there. The prices is good for couples. But the last time we went. 3 of the ladies that was doing the massage was arguing with each other. But they was arguing in chinese. Something i never seen before. They was very unprofessional. We wanted a refund bc they didnt do a good job bc of the arguing. but we paid anyway. This was the new owners. Its not the same as before😫

One of my favorite massage spas. They offer reflexology, foot massages, full body massage/couples massage at very good prices. Always feel wonderful when I leave. They really prefer you pay cash and tip in cash, which makes sense, so stop at an ATM before you go. There isnt one inside (that I have seen). You can just walk in and they will usually be able to accommodate you, or you can call ahead for an appointment. I really like firm pressure and they always dig into my knots 🪢

Oh my goodness I am at the zen spa I’m a regular and today I had one of the best massages I’ve had in a long time. Jason is his name my god you won’t be sorry he’s the freaking best. I was so tired tense and burnt out now I’m relaxed and comfortable and ready for another work week. This was the best I’m telling you. Freaking awesome

Its an experience in itself. Its not your normal massage. Highly recomend!

This place was absolutely amazing. I bought a Groupon for a thirty minute foot massage with hot stones. I called ahead on the day I wanted to go and got a same day appointment scheduled on a weekend which was great. When I went the receptionist checked me in and took me to the room. I sat down on a bench that detached from the chair. The massage began with a 5 minute back massage while seated, and my feet were soaking during this time. They have a few different options of what you want to soak your feet in. After that they pushed the bench against the recliner chair and I laid back. They covered me up with a blanket and tucked me in. That was a nice touch. Then they massaged my feet for 25 minutes. They used hit stones for about 5 of those 25 minutes. The massage was absolutely amazing. My feet have never felt so refreshed. I will be returning and highly recommend!

This is the I’ve had to Zen foot spa in Lynnhaven, they did a fantastic job and I will be back! I’ve had two different massage artist They both really took their time and concentrated on the areas that I requested them to concentrate on. The owner is very nice, you might wanna call first before buying coupon or Groupon and see what’s available before purchasing any specials.

The first time I came here, I had a great experience. However, the second time, I took my sister with me and the lady who did my massage was on her phone with another customer while trying to massage my feet with one hand. Very unprofessional. Then as I was leaving she kept pushing for a tip. Give me a break, I’m not gonna tip you for bad service. Sorry..

Absolutely horrible experience from the beginning to the end!! Received a foot massage as a Christmas gift certificate and decided to use it today. First off, when I called to make my appointment, I wasnt even asked for my name, or any contact information to put on file. I was just told to show up at 930am today, which I shouldve known that alone was a red flag. Arrived today at my appointment ON TIME...and the person who scheduled my appointment wasnt even there. There was another lady there who didnt even speak English, so she had to call the lady who actually booked my appointment whom I assume was the shop owner and put her on speaker phone in order to translate the conversation to help assist me. So after expressing my frustrations, she finally decides to tell the lady to service me and she would be on way. I couldnt even enjoy the foot massage due to the fitness class being held right next door with the music blasting. When the massage was finally over, the store owner had arrived and took an additional 30 minutes to check me out because she didnt know how to redeem the certificate and was on her cell phone. I didnt hold back in letting her know how horrible my very first experience was and that Ill never be back again. And in response to the owner...I SAID WHAT I SAID!!

Recent change of management and staff. The old crew was amazing and I used to go 1-2x/month, however I will not be back. My first experience with the new staff left much to be desired. She asked that I pay (and tip) before the service, my boyfriend and I got a couples oil massage where the lady doing mine left 3-4 times during my massage, gave an incomplete massage (as I could tell the difference from what was happening right next to me with my boyfriend, used cold wet towels to wipe the oil away (as she had left again, allowing the hot towels to go cold but still used them). And my god, she just about scaled me with the hot stones. Couldn’t touch them with her bare hands but somehow figured they were fine on my back..? My boyfriend said the man doing his massage was way too rough & it was painful (and he usually prefers hard pressure). I left more tense than when I came in and wasted $140 to boot. I used to recommend this place to anyone who would listen, I’m extremely disappointed.

Leo is so skilled and experienced. I had chronic back pains which bothered me for quite a long time. After he did the massage for me today, my pains were greatly alleviated.

I was having some pain in my shoulders, neck, and back & decided to call to see if they had walk in availability. They accommodated me right away and were so friendly. Yo yo was my massage therapist and she is the ABSOLUTE BEST! I asked for deep tissue and she has some strong hands to work out knots! I am so grateful to have found this place and will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Very unorganized. I came here before and the massage was great but I asked for a woman, and received a man. My boyfriend made me a second appointment and they took about 10 minutes going back and forth while the owner was talking to me over the phone. Very chaotic and not a good experience.

This place could have had great potential based on ambience and cleanliness. However, service was absolutely horrendous & unprofessional. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED (I know this is long but please read especially the end)!!!! I’ve been twice just to give them a chance. Both times I ordered a 30 min foot and 60 min full body, but each visit was different with same pricing. The first time they did not even do a 30 min foot massage and stated it was during the full body, whereas the second visit I miraculously received a foot soak and 20 min foot massage. Also, during this second visit I was not greeted at the door for 15 mins, then was told I’d have to wait because the place was “completely busy” however all room doors open and no one in sight on the way to the bathroom. I waited an additional 34 mins for a foot soak/foot massage of 20 mins when I paid for 30. Furthermore, I requested a 60 min full body massage for the masseuse to massage me dry and coarse many places ignoring pained body language verbal reiteration. She also continued to let other staff to walk in invading privacy and not maintaining my body being covered then she proceeded to stop my massage three different occasions to leave out of the room and talk. Finally, I get to the front with the idea to tip against my judgement on how things went. I get to the front and the massage therapist requested to know how much I’d planned to time when I mentioned the amt the massage therapist proceed to yell at me about “well no I think I should get way more because I did this for 90mins !” Mind you I experienced multiple interruptions and less than the 90mins and still decided to tip. So then when I questioned “how are you to tell me how much to tip” the therapist walks off with my card and starts calling people yelling into the phone in another language refusing to run my card and give it back. At this point I refused to tip and requested my card immediately to just give cash and to leave . The therapist then states “fine I’ll take the tip you’d offered.” This place is extremely unprofessional and lacks couth and decorum. I’D NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVEN IF IT WERE A FREE GIFT TO ME!!!”

The service was spectacular. The string was nice. The only thing I didn’t like is that the entrance to the calm setting is covered by a curtain so light came in each time it was opened. Everything else to include the foot soaking and the foot massage was really good. I also got the massage which was okay to me. It can be different for someone else if you choose this place to go regularly for a back massage. But it was not a fit for me. I will be back for the foot massage.

Awesome place with awesome prices. Me and my wife have been twice and both times were amazing. There is no set level of firmness to the massages but they are accomodating in asking if the pressure is okay. We got both foot and body massages both times and loved both of them. Definitely the place to go.

It was my first time here and I wanted to make another appointment after my massage but the front desk lady was very RUDE! She asked if I was leaving a tip and I said I would come back to bring a cash tip since I did not have cash on me (as I prefer to give tips in cash rather than card). She said “you don’t have to lie” and continued to say “bye.” I still came back to tip my masseuse but will not be coming back here.

Ive been to a few couples sessions and they were very nice, BUT I decided to gift myself with (2) 1-hour sessions with Jen. Shes t-h-e best. It was totally relaxing and I fell asleep both times because it was so enjoyable. I will return often. 😁🦶🏾🦶🏾 ...and terrific prices. Unbeatable!!

We purchased a Groupon as others have; as displayed on their website reviews, for a couples 30 mins massage. We called to schedule the appointment once I mentioned I had a Groupon they responded “ oh sorry no availability, we don’t except Groupon change of policy” don’t waste your time if your a Groupon user!

First visit got a great 30 min body and 30 min foot combo- deep tissue pressure for my back was great, relaxing music and atmosphere . 2nd visit tonight took two family members after dinner for 30 minute foot massages (5 min upper body massage while feet soak and 25 min footwork). There were two workers so I napped on my spa lounger while they had their massages and they did the same while I had mine. We all had a good time and left feeling relaxed but energized. Staff has been friendly and professional. Will visit again when back in the area.

This place was unexpectedly amazing! Brand new spot that I noticed just by driving by omw to get food and thought I’d give them a shot as my feet were screaming in pain. Leon was AMAZING! He gave what felt like a deep tissue massage for the feet after giving an amazing upper back, neck and shoulder massage. I got the 60 minute massage and appreciated every minute of it! Angela, receptionist, was also nice. Will definitely be going back!

I went a couple days ago, atmosphere was nice, but heard music from business next door which was distracting from their relaxing sounds, also the guy who did my foot and body massage was kind of rough and it hurt at times, that night my back felt so sore and bruised like. It probably would have been more enjoyable if he was more gentle. It’s been 3 days still feel alittle soreness in upper back.

The customer service was nice . The environment was nice but it’s next door to a jazzercise place Soo it’s hard to relax hearing all the music from them. We wasn’t expecting a back massage but it was the WORST MASSAGE EVER. They beat your back sooooo hard. The foot massage wasn’t good either. You are definitely gonna say ouch quite a few times! They hit every pressure point and it did not feel good at all. The best part was the hot stones. They didn’t have hot towels for your legs. If you like it rough this place is definitely for you!

We purchased $100 in vouchers to use for upcoming treatments. We purchased these at the tail end of the spring, and because of our personal health situations, we waited until we felt safe to call to use the vouchers. We thought they would accommodate based on the uniqueness of the current world situation, but they outright refused to honor our vouchers since theyd expired. We explained that we had issues that kept us from visiting places where we would have such close contact with people and they again refused. Were out $100 and they received $100 of our money for absolutely nothing.

My husband and I were in need of some massage therapy after a move. These guys were phenomenal!!! The foot bath and massage are so relaxing I found myself dozing off. There is gentle music in the background, comfortable furniture. Then the body massage. I was skeptical as I am used to oils etc.. my husband and I agreed they found every single knot, ache and pain and relieved them. Highly recommend😊We will be back

I bought a Groupon for the couples massage as I had done before and tried to book the appointment and was told that they dont accept Groupon on the weekends but it does not say this when buying the Groupon. Last time I did this deal, they booked us on a Saturday. Nothing in the fine print says this.

Had A very amazing massage. In thats coming from a massage therapist (myself) .I had a male therapist named started with an O...not your traditional massage. It came with hot stones n a hot towel wipe down which was amazing. Definitely would recommend. It was a bday gift for me.but I cant wonder from my knuckles and knots

This place is super new. They opened about a month ago. The workers were super nice, friendly and super helpful to the questions we had. The masseuses that worked on my bff and I did an awesome job and we will definitely be coming back.
