Hands down 10/10 experience!! I the did red light therapy bed which I’ve done at other places before but they were nothing like this. It had 6 different settings that were tailored to your specific need, e.g. weight loss, anti-aging, inflammation, etc! They give you a plush body inclusive sized robe, which as a plus size girl that means A LOT!! Then I did this private steam pod treatment that hydrated my skin. It had relaxing light settings and the bed vibrated during the treatment. I left out of there feeling like I had a great workout with relaxing massage after! The facility and staff are also lovely! I’ll be back for sure!

Love this spa! I go weekly for the red light and steam room and often get massages from Clayton, who is wonderful! He asks what issues you are having, if any, and will focus on helping you fix your muscular issues. I have been to other massage places that are relaxing but I never leave feeling like my pain is gone. After every massage with Clayton, my body feels so much better! Such a great experience!

This place has had some issues with staff turnover in the past, but luckily Clayton has been here for years now, and his work is fantastic. He is incredibly professional, and gives a very detailed and comprehensive massage. His technical skills are top notch, he will work with you to determine the origin of your discomfort. He has helped me with both my hip and neck issues multiple times. I have yet to check out the variety of spa amenities here, but they sure do look impressive.

Grace is an amazing acupuncturist. I have used acupuncture for preventative health and to assist with inflammation, my immune system, allergies, sprains, muscle pain, etc. for over two decades. Grace is one of the best! She knows her stuff, and is also very caring. She goes beyond just the session by recommending certain stretches or remedies I can do at home. Thank you, Grace. I am so happy I found you!

This was my 2nd time at Ft. Hunt by word of mouth and it is absolutely a wonderful place. It has some of the latest wellness therapies I’ve seen by far in this area. The environment is so pleasant and inviting. Do not let Nichole slip away without experiencing her hands! She was awesome! I enjoyed every minute and have already re-scheduled with her in less than 3 days after receiving my massage. Make your appointment today!

This was a terrific experience! Nichole Is an amazing, professional, knowledgable and caring practitioner. She listened to my concerns, concentrated my deep tissue massage where it was most needed and devised a maintainence plan for moving forward. I am grateful to have found her and this wellness center. It was my first couples massage and this place delivered! The ambiance was relaxing and comfy. We had Jennifer and Grey on our visit(Jan 19th). We did a deep whole body massage, except I chose essential oils and my husband added hot stones. His highlight was when Grey worked on his back. Mine would be my shoulders and neck by Jennifer. At the end I bought a collagen shot that they sell it was actually yummy. They also provide water for you to drink prior and after your massage.I loved the options this establishment has. I will definitely be back for a girls day with my friend and check out the Lomi Lomi massage!

Got the best massage from Jamesa. I rarely go to the same place twice, but I will definitely be back as long as Jamesa has appointments available. She knew where to focus without me having to tell her, although she made sure to ask about trouble spots ahead of time. Also, maintained consistent pressure during my deep tissue massage. Facility was clean and calming.

I had a terrible experience at Fort Hunt Wellness. It was my first time trying them out and based on the positive reviews I was very much looking forward to it. I booked a 90 minute prenatal massage and told the therapist that my shoulders and neck need the most work but that since I’m close to the end of my pregnancy pretty much everything could use a run down. I could tell in the first 2 minutes that the therapist did not know what she was doing. For 90 minutes she proceeded to slowly press and drag her fingers across various parts of my body, with no rhyme or reason, or regard for the actual muscles. She spent at LEAST 20 minutes pressing various parts of my butt and hips but not actually working out any tension - just pressing firmly. When I asked her if she could massage instead of pressing she seemed confused and asked if I meant “like a swirl?”. This did not improve the experience at all, because she still didn’t seem to understand what an actual massage was. I left feeling worse than when I came, and I was hoping to share my feedback with someone at the front desk. Unfortunately the person working the front desk didn’t even ask how my massage was, just asked for payment and how I wanted to tip. I said “well it was pretty awful but I guess here’s some cash.” She STILL didn’t ask what was wrong - just told me to have a nice day. It was an horrible experience all around and I’m so disappointed to have wasted time and money on it.

The massage was ok. I didnt feel like I got what I came there for. I didnt enjoy the massage. I expected a deep tissue massage that was absolutely not a deep tissue massage.My husband booked this massage for me. I confirmed with him that that is what he booked and he also said he wrote in the message areas I needed help with. It doesnt seem like they got that message though because at the beginning of the appt I had to explain the massage was for me and not my spouse.We had an add on for a foot scrub($25)The massage therapist said there wasnt a set time for the foot scrub but on the website it stated ten minutes. I even showed the receptionist.The therapist said we went over but I actually looked at my watch and we were a minute short. And thats still not a reason to not fully perform a service. The foot scrub was like 4-5 mins and it wasnt really a massage. It was putting a scrub on and kind of running it in then wiping it off.The receptionist said she couldnt do a refund cause everything was booked ahead.The front desk receptionist was nice and said they were reaching out to the manager but the manager is on vacation... So unless they reach out soon. We are just out of that money and this wasnt a cheap experience. Felt scammy.Just left really disappointed. I was looking forward to this place so badly and Im super bummed.--------------------------Update: 3 weeks later June 4thNever heard back from the manager/owner even though a message was supposed to be left

It smells amazing in here and the ambiance is very relaxing and healing . I had a Swedish massage by Nichole R. and it was probably the most relaxing one I’ve ever had . 60 minutes went by way too fast ! I’ll need to book a 90 minute next time.

I booked the 3 hour wellness day pass for a couple. The staff was very friendly and the entire center is welcoming. The staff prepared everything for us so we can go from one treatment to the next. They give a nice comfy robe and slippers too. We started with the salt cave which was relaxing. The room was dark, the chairs are comfortable and the blankets are cool. The gentleman explained the benefits and origin of the salt caves and then he let us enjoy. Our next treatment was the dry herbal sauna. It was hot but a comfortable hot. Next we did the BEMER, super relaxing. We were falling asleep at this point. After this, we went to the Japanese ofuro soak. I loved this one the most. It was intimate, relaxing, breath taking just all around amazing. I didnt want to leave. The petals in the water were beautiful. The water was the perfect temperature and the tub itself was so deep. It was the perfect way to relax. Finally, we ended our day with the infrared sauna. I ended that early because I would have fallen asleep, the heat was good though . This place is amazing. If you need a spa/wellness center to just relax... this is it. We will be back and I have already recommended this place to a few people. You can go in this place with the weight of the world on your shoulder and walk out with mind and body at ease. Such a pleasant visit.

Booked a 60 min massage with 30 min body scrub with Nichoe. Hands down the best massage Ive had in years. Im pretty sensitive to heavy pressure in a massage and even when I mention this ahead of time, it is still painful. Nichole was absolutely spot on with light to medium pressure. Incredibly relaxing and soothing. So glad I found this and will return soon.

A lovely neighborhood spot - really an undiscovered gem. I hope to be able to try some more of the fun add ons - Ive done the salt cave which is cool, but want to try some of the hydro therapies. The staff is great and the prices are high, but reasonable. Watch out for the specials to try some of the add ons.

Great European spa. They have all the services you could want. I love the IR sauna, it is really helping me out. Massage with Laz WILL work out your problems, just don’t expect a soft and relaxing experience.

Loved my little self care day here. I did the 3 hour day pass and it was a fantastic value for the broad array of services I received. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, atmosphere was relaxing, facility was up to date and clean. Highly recommend and plan to come back to try out more services and their couples package.

Not one to typically write reviews but after reading so many positive ones, I really had my hopes up and want to write an honest review. I bought $600 of gift cards in December 2022 for Christmas presents. I booked 4 massages, 4 sauna and 4 salt cave experiences for October 6th starting at 2:30. On October 5th, I received an automated email saying that my massage was cancelled. I called immediately and Tori at the front desk said Carlos, my masseuse, walked out and they had to cancel my massage. I expressed my disappointment and she said there was nothing that could be done. I asked if the schedule could be shifted so that I could get a massage too and unfortunately, it wasnt happening. Upon arrival, we sat in the comfy chairs in the front and then we were taken to the back where we went to our changing room (which was a cleaning closet with rakes and mops - see picture) and put on robes and slippers. First stop was the sauna which was enjoyable, however, noticed a LOT of mold on the way to the sauna in the Japanese soaking tub and other wet areas of the spa. Second stop was massages (for 3 of us). Mary, one of the massage therapists said she came in to give a massage and then she was quitting. Thats two people quitting in 2 days - hmmm? The 4th person in our party sat in the salt cave which unbeknownst to us was completely broken down. The other three joined and at that point, Tori tried to turn on the salt cave to no avail (the cave is supposed to infiltrate with salt particles creating almost a smokey room). At this point, all we could do was laugh at how many things had gone wrong throughout the day. We left before the hour in the salt cave was up. I wouldnt spend another dime at this spa.

I purchased a gift certificate for my husband at fort hunt massage. My husband really enjoyed his massage and was impressed with the pressure applied. The front desk staff was so kind and answered and questions I had about the certificate prior to the massage. Plenty of parking onsite

I love the new location. The co-owner Silva gave me a tour of the new Destination Spa and there are several new services that I cant wait to try. I am especially excited about the upcoming salt cave room and sauna. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage with Mary Katherine. She worked out aches I had in my neck and did a good stretch on my legs that were highly in need of the strength. The room were I had my massage was very peaceful and serene. I enjoyed the added heat to the massage table and smell of the light essential oil made the experience more relaxing. I will definitely be a returning soon.

The staff went well above expectations and made our experience relaxing and enjoyable. We had gathered to celebrate a milestone birthday and the owner manipulated the treatment schedules so we could all finish out our treatments together in the salt cave and had time to relax and enjoy the delicious cheese platter they had prepared for us. The atmosphere was peaceful from the moment I walked in the door. The aromatherapy with the salt cave was a bonus- I definitely recommend it. If you aren’t sure what aroma treatment you want, they will help guide you to make your choice and will allow you to test the scents to make your choice. I left happy and relaxed- just what I came for!

I am blown away by this place! My appointment with Dr. Kim for acupuncture was my very first one, and my headache that I’ve had consistently for weeks is gone! He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and really took the time to dig down to the root of my issues for treatment.The staff of the center was so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was super calm and relaxing. I just loved everything about it.Highly recommend for your acupuncture, massage and spa needs. I’ll be going back weekly!

Got lost for a second, but you can definitely see the building from the street. Overall, it was easy to book & the massage was amazing (deep tissue for 60mins). Basil did a wonderful job with paying attention to my most problematic areas.Definitely one of the best massages I’ve gotten in the DMV.

Spent 2 hours at Ft Hunt Massage and spa starting with a Swedish massage with Clayton who was amazing and then ended with a fabulous facial from Carolyn, which was also amazing! My skin looks so bright and fabulous, I recommend both :)

This is a hidden gem in Alexandria, VA!   Since moving to Alexandria, Va., I have been searching for a reputable massage place.  I found more than a massage service, Ft. Hunt Health and Wellness Center provides a huge array of European-style wellness and spa services.  I am really impressed with how clean, innovative, and provides a full zen atmosphere.  The owners and staff are super friendly and very professional.  They definitely listened and catered to my needs.  I highly recommend Ft. Hunt Health and Wellness Center and Ft. Hunt Massage and Spa.  If you doubt this review, ask for a tour first.  I am sure you will be impressed as well.

The facility is beautiful, serene and contains the perfect spa ambiance. The various wellness treatments offered are advanced and this spa is one of the exclusive few in the area that carries these treatments. All the treatment rooms and equipment are sparkly clean and you can tell the facility focuses on maintains an extremely hygienic environment. Me and my friend tried the aqua cocoon and the IR sauna treatments and we are sure to come back and try more services. The owners of FT Hunt Health and Wellness Center are amazing people. They care about every client Truly outdo themselves in providing a white glove customer experience. Definitely worth a visit!

What a pleasant surprise! This is the best message and spa facility in the area. I received a world class deep tissue message here from Tidiane that was physically and emotionally incredible. Super clean and welcoming to the point you feel like family once you go a couple of times. I also love all the new service offerings. I did the deep tissue massage and sauna which ended up being an amazing experience. The deep tissue massage with Laura was the best to date I have had and will continue to go back every month!

Great massage from experienced professionals. Ive been so happy with every person that Ive tried here at Ft. Hunt. I highly recommend checking them out. They have so many different providers which I think is awesome for when you have different needs! Ive not been disappointed with anything or person that Ive tried. Check in is quick and simple. You can prepay which makes check out faster. Everything is super clean and really quick to get you back into the massage room. Such a great sanity check with everything going on in the world.

Beautiful spa and the staff was very professional and nice. Deep tissue massage was well over due and they ensured my comfort needs were exceeded. The rooms were very clean and all the staff was so nice and professional. Can’t wait for my next visit.

UPDATE: I was contacted by management and was corrected that they do offer prenatal pillows, my therapist was just unaware of where they were located (due to some infrastructure changes, new therapists etc). With that in mind, I would definitely return here with just a request for the positioning set up. Really great customer service.I am still giving a 5 star bc I really like this place and the therapists, but do know if you are going for a prenatal massage they don’t have the cushions to allow for you to be on your stomach, the massage will be on your side. For me, this is just not as relaxing (they’re massaging your back but you are stabilizing now to not be pushed forward and so you’re more tense rather than when you can just relax into the table, or at least that’s how I felt) and wouldn’t come back for any further prenatal appointments. I have however seen multiple massage therapists here and will return after I have my baby.

Absolutely superb! My first time having a massage, and Mary Katherine Hawk was just great - very kind, happy to explain/offer recommendations. Left feeling very relaxed and pain-free (years-long, medication-resistant chronic joint/muscle pain). Beautiful place - highly recommend! (Was in area on vacation, and if Im ever in area again, I will absolutely be back!) Local gem!

Me and my daughter (10 years old) enjoyed a hydra cocoon and a Swedish massage treatment. Both were amazing and a very good experience for each of us. I had the hydra cocoon treatment, which was SO different and SO amazing, I didn’t want it to end after the 20 min. Treatment. I felt refreshed, relaxed and overall fantastic after the treatment. Highly recommend their services. We will be back with my friends!

Highly recommend - had been looking for a Euro-style dry sauna for years with no good options. Was skeptical at first but very pleasantly surprised - ambiance and facilities were perfect. We are looking forward to coming back for a couples massage and future sauna session. We had been very disappointed in other local saunas that were essentially a love seat in a sterile room. Fort Hunt is where you want to go.

I am so happy to have found this gem in my neighborhood. The facility is clean and has a relaxing ambiance. The front desk staff are courteous and friendly. A special shout out to Tidiane, whose background in physical therapy assists him as a medical massage therapist in pinpointing the exact source of the problem and addressing it with successful results. Tidiane is an example of the proficiency of therapists this facility has to offer.

Ive been to Fort Hunt twice and absolutely loved it. The first time was for a 60 minute biodynamic cranialsacral session, the second time was with Carlos for a 90 minute Swedish massage. Both sessions were amazing and relaxing. All staff members and therapists were super nice and helpful; Im looking forward to going back and trying out other services.

Very welcoming. My fiancé booked me a session with Mary due to lower back problems and WOW! It was amazing!! The best gift I’ve gotten! I went in with pain and could barely walk. Slept like a baby and woke up feeling brand new! I booked another session with Mary this week 2 days later after my first session because l was long over due for a good massage! Will recommend for anyone out there who needs their back put back in place lol because it’s legit how I felt.

Exceptional experience in a warm relaxing environment. Christina was awesome has she performed a deep tissue massage to help me with tight joints and sore muscles. I had the MOST AWFUL experience I have ever had at any establishment. I was a frequent client at this spa and regularly recommended it to my friends. Recently, I was called and told that my appointment would be canceled because the health department was coming for a visit (at 3PM on a Friday)! But my appointment was actually canceled because a larger party wanted to book the afternoon and they did not have enough massage therapists, so they needed the one I was scheduled with to work with the larger party. Why was I LIED to? Why would a business make such a choice? Cancel a client who visits multiple times a month for a new party that will likely never rebook? And why LIE? So silly. I have not and WILL NOT RETURN. How can I trust this business to be respectful and careful with my body when they so easily DISREGARDED ME by canceling my appointment for another person and then blatantly LIED about it? If it had not happened to me, I don’t even know if I could believe an establishment would do such a thing. I highly recommend that you seek spa services at another establishment. DO NOT BOOK HERE (or if you do, don’t be surprised if they just decide to cancel your appointment).

Always a great experience. My husband and I both go to Ft Hunt massage and Spa. Each time is customized to fit both of our needs, such as swedish, deep tissue, Himalayan salt massage, and essential oils. They have wonderful options to choose from with more options being added to the menu as new things come out. The staff is all great with there own unique twists.

Ive been looking for an easy way to improve my skin which has seen better days after numerous sunburns over the years. I decided to try Red Light Therapy after researching the benefits.I am skeptical by nature, so I was pretty surprised that I started to see some skin improvements even after the first session. Ive completed about 6 sessions now and am looking forward to completing a full 20 sessions to see how my skin improves.Fort Hunt Massage and Day Spa makes it easy to try out - very affordable and the session room is right off the reception. Super easy to get in and out.

Spotless, newly renovated, easy access, numerous treatment options, professional staff, and welcoming owner. A great experience all the way around.

The quality of the massage was great and the ambiance was very relaxing! I had a prenatal massage with Dana and she was incredible. She was very knowledgeable, helped relieve my pregnancy aches and pains and I left feeling very relaxed. I would definitely recommend Dana and Ill definitely be back!

This is a conveniently located, independent wellness spa with a friendly atmosphere and great staff. They offer a great selection of products and services. Janet gave a wonderful deep tissue massage, both responding to my request and focus as well as intuitively finding other areas that needed work.

I have been going to Laz for deep tissue massages for over a year. He is fantastic when massaging ...knows where and when to prod and push and also know the anatomy well so he gives excellent advice for exercises and stretches to do or to avoid. A fabulous place overall. The place is clean and lovely. Highly recommend!

After years of massage here, I can say that all of the visits have been terrific. Laz, the owner/masseuse is the best I have ever had. You have got to see him more than once to fully appreciate the experience. Recently, they have brought on a Thai massage therapist. I have not had such a thorough work over outside of Bangkok. Sylvia is at the front desk; stop at the Hollin Hall bakery and bring her a cappuccino.

Niki is a true professional. I received my first acne facial and she talked me through each step of the process, taking extra care to ensure I was comfortable with my experience. Have always had great massages at Fort Hunt. I use to always see Laz when they first opened, but hes so good he is very booked. Laz does a great job of always bringing in top massage therapist and I have seen several of the staff and they are all very good. Just had a deep tissue with Laura who is new and she is excellent!!!

I finally found the perfect place for facials!Inna is absolutely fabulous. She is so knowledgeable and her facials (and peels) are the best I’ve ever experienced. She provides lots of services and I’ve found listening to her advice and following what she suggests is always right.

Laszlo is the best. He has great communication skills and knowledge. He diagnosed the root cause of my pain and gave me follow up exercises. Ive known Las for several years and has an extensive resume and had a segment on the News for his tremendous work in the fitness industry with his clients. He has spent time outside of his work schedule to help which tells you alot about his worth ethic and his passion for his line of work. He is considered family at this point.

The best experience Ive ever had in a spa. The minute you enter you can feel the calming sensation. Words cant describe how satisfied i am of having gone there. Definitely recommend going there. Prices match the quality. Loved the service.

I was a little late but Laura took me in to the massage room right away and treated me with such care. (Im a frazzled Mom to three young girls.) The 30 min massage was heaven! Swedish perfection everywhere I asked her to pay attention too. Thank you!

I have been going to Dana for almost 10 months. Every visit has been a great massage. Danan recently started doing ashiatsu (foot massage). It was terrific, deep the way I like my massages but with no pain.

This place is amazing. The staff were extremely professional and the atmosphere was so inviting and calming, just what I was seeking. Ill definitely be coming regularly. Its so nice to be treated well and Im glad they are doing well amidst the pandemic.

Wow! I just tried this new place and am so impressed. 30 minutes with Lazlo and my years of aches and pains melted away. Just as importantly, learned so much from him too. He is extremely knowledgable about anatomy and clearly passionate about what he does. The spa itself is very nicely decorated, clean, and calming. I loved booking and doing my paperwork online/beforehand too. I will be back for sure!

Nice place. Quiet, muted, relaxing environment as one expects from massage centers. This is the first and only massage place Ive seen since recently moving to the area and I dont plan to look any further.

Laz is ALWAYS THE BEST. He is in a class all on his own. Better sign up soon as his schedule fills up 6+ months ahead. His strength combined with his detailed knowledge of the muscle system bring highly acclaimed precision to his massages.

Their swedish manicure and pedicure packages were wonderful. The whole body massage by Janet was excellent. Prices are reasonable. Location fantastic.
