TLDR: Unprofessional, overpriced, shady, and disrespectful.I called ahead to this massage place and was told to come in. After teaching a class in Virginia, I had some time before my next class and didn’t want to drive all the way back home to DC. As an avid runner, I thought a massage would be beneficial after a long morning run.I arrived to find the therapist wearing a revealing, tight dress, which initially confused me, making me question if I was in the right place. Upon entering, the therapist immediately began speaking disrespectfully and eyeing me in a hostile manner. Despite clearly stating I was 22 and showing my ID, she seemed skeptical of my age, despite my adult appearance with facial hair and an athletic build at 5 foot 10. It felt like she had other intentions or wanted me to pay for something illegal, which made me uncomfortable.I explained that I just needed a deep tissue massage for my calves, shoulders, and back as I had a class immediately afterwards. However, she aggressively ushered me out after insisting on only a $60, 30-minute back massage plus a 50% tip, totaling $90.Overall, this experience was disappointing and uncomfortable due to the lack of professionalism, disrespectful attitude, and questionable intentions. Based on my visit, I would not recommend this place.
Not easy to find. Will need more signage. The massage was pretty good. I definitely enjoyed the walking on my back part. Will need yo add aromatherapy to the mix and I would give it a better review. Yet I will be going back again.
New King Spa Massage gave me a nice relaxing massage that hit the all important muscle groups that helped improve circulation and get rid of pain in my body.
Never made it to the table. Rates are a bit overpriced for 30 min and 60 min. 30 min = $60 and 60 min = $80. Must sign a COVID-19 contact tracing form, but advised that do not have to put real name as authorities never check. Must pay first with tip before service, which seemed odd. When asked if cashless is okay, was advised that there is $5 dollar fee to use CC. Additionally, was advised that TIP is 50% of service price. In the span of 15 minutes, I was involved in fraud and extortion. Lastly, did not see occupational licenses or licenses of service staff. I suspect this location is involved with additional illegal activities.
Excellent experience
