Update April 2023: was back in town & a week prior to arriving in AL was rear-ended & had whiplash. My Dr. Recommended PT & Massage Therapy. With PT not an option while away I saw Summer twice while in town & the relief was immediate. Im not sure if Ill need PT upon returning home but really appreciate the care they took with me & even applied a Chinese balm/cream on my neck which felt hot & cold at the same time. The acupressure can be a little painful but google Chinese massage. What Ive read doesnt say soft relaxing massage, its more medical for pain relief IMHO. thanks ladies for patching up an old guy again. I will definitely be back as will be in B-Ham 3 more time this year for sure, maybe more.Nina was awesome. I was in town for a Barber event and would not have been able to drive without her help. Saw her 2 days in a row and was pain free day 3 and was able to run 2 days as planned at the track. Thankyou so much for saving my weekend. Definitely skilled in Chinese medical massage and acupressure.

I’ve been to DM a few times and always leave refreshed. Annie is one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever had. She takes pride in her work and is very professional. Don’t waste your time at those fancy places that leave so many areas untouched and only give you a 45-minute massage rather than a 60 min. If you want to be refreshed and get your moneys worth, stop in at Discover Massage, where it’s clean and professional. Always an A+ Experience!!!

Decided to have a quick massage and came across this place. Waited 40 min. Someone came in after me, & was instantly taken care of because his service was 70.00 and mine was 40.00. It was about the money, not who got there first. Service was okay. Dont think I would patronize them again. #TEAMSMILEY

I’ve been here several times but for whatever reason today when i went back i was asked to pay upfront….. now this wouldn’t have been an issue had i not just heard them check a Caucasian out in the front AFTER their service. I left bc im not spending money with people who don’t even trust me to get the service and after she saw money in my wallet she says ok u pay me later like idk what kind of reindeer games they have going on but i will never spend money where im not wanted

Its very nice, very clean & spacious. A friend & I went to have a 90-minute massage, and when I tell you that was the best 90 minutes of my life, we really needed that time to relax & unwind away from life its self.I like to thank the 2 young ladies that made our day my friend really needed that massage.

The woman who owns this business is “good people” that you definitely want to do business with. She went above and beyond for my unheard of request to honor a giftcard I bought for my mother over the phone 11 months ago (as I live out of town). She went as far as checking old tax records for me to prove I really did buy it for my mom. Which she honestly didn’t have to do. She texted me to stay in touch as she worked relentlessly to check old records for me for a month so that I could schedule an appointment for my mom. She honored the $65 phone payment I made and gave my mom the best massage she has had in a long time. It was super thoughtful of the owner to go as far as she did to help me. Even I was aware that I was one of those ridiculous customers. But the entire time she stayed professional, kind, and honest. Discover Massage is the true definition of local business who honors their values, and since then my family bought (in person) 2 more gift certificates and we can’t wait to go back! 10/10 would recommend this place to anyone I knew, because they are GOOD PEOPLE!

Dont get me wrong the whole massage experience was great the only problem I have with this particular business is when we were leaving we were kind of accosted by either the owner I wanted the owners about a tip. They make you pay for the massage in advance not afterwards thats another thing that kind of threw up a red flag for me. So on our way out of the business one of the ladies stood in front of us with the receipt in hand cause my wife didnt feel out the tip portion of the receipt so when she was filling the tip portion out the actual lady was trying to tell her what she needs to write down my wife put $10 down as a tip. What really got me was the actual price menu it was a certain price listed and then they scratch that price out and hand it another price in which the original massage was $60 a piece They wrote in $70 which I didnt have a problem with it but I found it was kind of strange and weird. So to go back to when we were about to leave the place the owner whoever was that stopped us in front of the thing of the doorway they wanted to a tip and also when my wife wrote the $10 down and its a tip she was stating a piece because we had to massage therapist then she said $20 a piece I didnt I didnt like the idea that it was like we were being forced to Get more money than we thought we should I dont know the exact protocol for tipping in that instance maybe I was wrong maybe I wasnt.

First time trying a massage at this location. The massage itself was great. My husband and I did a couples massage. The thing is they aggressively harass you for a tip on your way out. This just completely took away from the whole experience. If it is that serious I suggest they just go up on their prices again instead of trying to hoodwink you on the way out on what type of tip that they want. Shame!

Some of the best massages Ive ever had (traveled for years & need regular massage due to old back). I wouldnt hesitate to stop back when in the area if needed. I read some folks had issue with up front payment & tipping. My experience is some LMT places collect up front, just like most of my Drs. Different cultures do business different vs the US sometimes, but I would always expect to be treated kindly & never asked for a tip. Honestly if they want payment 1st, ill tip then too so im not thinking now whats 20% & whats 30% during the massage. How much should i tip, etc... thanks to Neena (sp) for fixing my old back

Possibly the BEST massage I ever had!!! I received a gift certificate for my bday. I must admit, I was hesitant at first because from the outside the place always looks so dark so I wasnt sure it was a legitimate spa. I didnt want to waste the gift so I figured Ill go and leave if I felt uncomfortable. Im so glad I went...the place was clean, calming atmosphere. My masseuse was very professional. This was way better than the over priced spa. Definitely affordable enough to work in as a monthly routine.

Have been here before, didnt have an appointment, but they worked me right in. Masseuse was very good. Called and made an appointment, girl asks me to wait 5 minutes, 23 minutes later I leave. Same girl as before, dont k own why service was so different this time.? Saw a different girl a week or so later. Awesome massage! Have been back several times, much better experience! Ask for Summer, shes great!

Today was my 3rd visit! Today I took my husband along for an anniversary treat. We both had 30 minute massage and 30 minute reflexology! I had the Thia and my husband had the swedish!My husband loved it and agreed one of the best massage ever and the expense is very reasonable! Worth every dollar!We had different therapist but both received excellent treatment!

This would have been a 5 star review but...I got ther an hour before close. Asked for an hour massage and the woman at the front desk said yes. Went to room and waited about 10 minutes for masseuse to ear. Excellent massage, friendly service but was cut 10 minutes short. No big deal, its closing time. I ask for my credit card receipt so I can add tip after massage. I add 15.00 for a 65.00 (50 minute) massage. The woman argues with me for more of a tip. I finally sign it and walk out the door. I went there before but it was pre covid and never had that happen. I wont be back and thats too bad, great massage, clean facility amd friendly people...right up to the time for tip. Never again.

Rude receptionist! I decided to take my mom to get a massage for her birthday and on our way out, the masseuse/ receptionist stop us and proceeded to harass us about a tip. Questioned us when I said I’m not leaving a tip with , “why not.” “Do you go to a restaurant and not tip.” That was our first time visiting and won’t be returning!

I went there today for a 60 min full body massage which was performed by an Asian man. After a few minutes into it I started to doubt that this man had a license and was a masseuse by trade and certified. I actually wondered what he was doing . I had massages before but this one seemed unprofessional. Anyone could have done what he did. Not that it was not ok and it felt pretty good but my own husband could have done this just as well. It was a waste of money and what I absolutely hated was that they demanded a tip of at least ten dollars up front with the payment . Up front ! Usually you get a service and then pay for it not up front. Don’t go there if you don’t want to get upset afterwards. I would not return there again.

This was terrible experience. Even though we scheduled an appointment they called 10 mins before time and wanted to push it later in the day. Was supposed to be a couples massage and there was nothing that made it anything other than your normal massage. Not relaxing at all. Not a ton of privacy was provided. The therapist left the room multiple times. It wasn’t therapeutic more like a rough oil rub.. or beating? Will not be going back.

Even though I had a good massage I won’t be returning. The room was super dark when I was getting dressed after and I left a necklace hanging on a hook on the wall. I looked around for a light switch but no luck so getting dressed in the dark I didn’t see it still there. Called back the next day when I realized it, the lady was not helpful at all. Kept trying to book me another appointment when I kept telling her I just wanted my necklace so she supposedly checked the room and said “No have”. Added to the fact that they badger you into giving a tip, I’ll find somewhere else next time.

Wonderful massage, deep tissue for 60 minutes for $60. Also she threw in some hot stone near the end. Super great will come back.Update: Brought my step daughter and her mom this time, each got the same masseuse. They loved it! Got the stones. Bringing my husband next.

Waited on the table for 20 minutes after telling them I had an appointment that I had to leave for after the massage. Cut the time of my massage from 45 min to 30 min. Then she wanted me to tip more money. Horrible service and will never return.

Asked for a 30 min massage i only got 20 minutes. Their maternity massages is very uncomfortable they do not have any pregnancy pillows to accommodate pregnant women. Would not recommend going..

Very professional, very nice massage given. But I rate it a 3 star because the woman at the front who collects the money asks you to tip at the end and makes you feel very uncomfortable if you give anything less than 10 dollars. If you dont tip, dont go there, she will demand you top or else make you feel like you are a horrible person.

Called and made an appointment for me and my mother to get a couples massage. Got there for my SCHEDULED appointment and there was another couple there waiting. They asked the other couple did they call and they said yes and was about to take their payment then another worker came in and asked me did I call and I said yes I had an appointment for 1:30. So the other couple said the other location called and told them to come to this location but talked to this location. So the lady gave me the phone to talk to the manager at the other location and she said they were busy today. I said why did u give me the phone. I didn’t talk to them or go to that location my appointment was for here. So I just left. HAVING AN APPOINTMENT DOES JOT MATTER TO THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE GOING TO GET THEIR MONEY ANYWAY

Just tried to call today March 18 at 1:30pm to inquire about any openings or possibly schedule an appointment. I wanted to book a massage for my mother since she’s always working but when I called the lady who answered was very rude I could barely hear her and acted like it was a nuisance that I even called. I eventually just hung on because I could barely hear her and she just was overall unpleasant. If it was that bad she shouldn’t have answered. I’ll be finding someplace else.. sad bc this place WOULDVE been more convenient for me but definitely work on phone etiquette and customer service. Maybe my case was an isolated incident but very unprofessional for potential new customers.

I made an appointment for a group of 3. They doubled book the time with another group. We made it there ahead of time and they let the group that came in afterwards go back. She told me to change my date and time. Never apologize for their mistake or even called ahead of time to reschedule. Very unprofessional and poor communication.

Ive been here several times, always get deep tissue massage. Im so relaxed by minute 15, Im asleep when the lady asks mute to turn over. Worth every penny! And more economical compared to more fru fru establishments.

Ive been there twice...both time great massages the only thing I dont like is that the lady demands a tip... she doesnt give you time to even tip...she asks for it and I think thats very rude of her....like lady let me give you the tip dont ask for it...sheesh

I received a gift certificate to Discover Massage and I was not disappointed. Mary was a fantastic masseuse and I felt great after my hour was up. I will definitely be going back!

The massage was not bad, it was reasonable for the price, but you have to pay up front before services are rendered which similar to buying fast food at the counter. However, what they fail to tell you is afterwards they pull up the receipt and make you pay a 20% tip on the total amount when you check out. This is very bad customer service, very very bad.

Although the massage wasn’t bad at and was very inexpensive but I just couldn’t get passed the point that my person left about 6 times not to mention once service was done she said ok u done and walked out then have the nerve to ASK ME do I want to pay for a tip . If they can get those two things together I’ll give them a 5 star

I got a regular full body massage, but oh my, it was bomb! Just the right pressure, push and pull. The mousse added a little Thai stretching in the mix... I was in heaven.

I stopped in here for a massage while on my way back to New Jersey. It was the best massage Ive received in a very long time. I cant wait to go back again.

I have had massage memberships and massages at the fanciest spas and this is, hands down, the best massage Ive had! An authentic Asian-style massage. Will definitely be back.

Had to pay before the massage and apparently the top wasnt enough. Total waste of time and money. She obviously didnt care about providing a good experience. Never going back.

I booked a 60 minute massage waited 15 minutes before someone entered and then was no sheet or blanket on the table just a towel it was very dark in the room and cold I will not be returning

Um...if there are no shenanigans or happy endings, then why do people keep mentioning it?🤔Next time yall go in, might wanna check to see if they actually have a massage license from the state of Alabama. EACH THERAPIST HAS TO HAVE A LICENSE....
