The staff was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. I had a very good experience and I forgot to pay and almost walked out and that waiter was even really respectful and smiling when he said sir you forgot to pay. I was a little embarrassed but they were very nice about and said dont worry it happens all the time. I made sure to leave a good tip. I even called back and apologized and again they said I was fine. They have such a great staff. I will definitely go back.
The Blarney burgers were the bomb!😋 The red pepper cream soup was delicious as well! Ive never had a bad meal there. Would have taken photos of the food but it looked so good, I dug right in!😉
Great service and great food! I had the Guinness BBQ chicken plate with grilled seasonal vegetables and black beans as the sides. Everything was delicious!
The Irish Bred Pub & Grill in Carrollton served our daughters wedding rehearsal group of family & friends with approx. 24 people seated upstairs. Not only did they accommodate all of us, but they served us with accuracy, timely and good service (to the best of their ability for a group of our size), and the food was GREAT!!! The only minor complaint (to improve on) was the climate of it being too warm that day with the doors open upstairs, it was very warm and uncomfortable. Needed the air cond. on. The young lady who served us did a great job, and by her appearance, she was working tirelessly. Thank you for helping us enjoy the meal with our family & friends for this special event.
Nice pub to chill out after work. Ordered Philly Cheesesteak w/onion rings. They were great! Definitely will come back.
Not pleased. Poor sanitation. I was served the driest Sheppards Pie ever! It looked like they put in on a plate and placed in the microwave oven to melt the cheese? No broth whatsoever. The picture looks better than what I had to eat. My drink, the watermelon-tini tasted like a liquid jolly rancher. Even my check had BBQ sauce stains. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.
Great Irish Bread Pub atmosphere, late hours, lots of seating indoors, outdoors & on the deck on the 2nd floor overlooking the busy square. We love the Irish Pub, always something going going on. One dollar $ March madness green Bud draft beer. We shared the Irish sampler..chicken fingers, cheese sticks, jalapeno poppers, chips with queso sauce and all the other dipping sauce. Large enough to split. Trivia night, live bands & karaoke. Great place to dine, then to stroll around the square. We had an excellent evening. Carlie, our waitress, was absolutely fantastic!
Probably a great place to meet friends for a drink but eat elsewhere. Food is just below average. Service was quick and friendly. Drinks are average priced, but not a lot on tap.
We enjoy the ambiance of this historic building and love the old brick and wooden floors. The food is good and the menu selection is nice with some traditional basics as well as some nice variatins on sandwiches and entrees. Our server was very pleasant and kept our drinks filled. We were seated quickly. Our only complaint for this visit was the AC was very cold for everyone at the table but the restaurant turned the thermostat down quickly at our request and things were comfortable afterwards. Irish Bred Pub &Grill is a definite must visit for locals and visitors from out of town.
Honestly loved the vibe and the staff. I had the beef stew with a side salad. The stew was really good. The salad was not. The staff made me feel welcomed and appreciated. Quick service was also a plus. I will be back for a good lunch bite.
More of a sports bar with lots of Guinness marketing materials than an actual Irish pub. Had the Fish and Chips, everything was served hot and freshly prepared.
Service was great, very attentive. Food was good. Everything came out as ordered, even though we were a very large group.
Surprising, not surprising, had some Mexican entrees on the menu. Make of that what you will. Ordered the fish and chips. I gauge pubs by this entree. Not a true Brit isles fish and chips, but an ok fish-n-chips, there version of chips is french fries. Tarter sauce was good. Would like at some point to try their other entrees. One person in our party did order the veggie burger and found it particularly good.
Everything great start to finish. Delicious food all around the table and good atmosphere.
We reserved the upstairs for a belated wedding reception, Jamie was great at helping coordinate and getting everything set up. We had several different menu options based on our price point including drink coverage that we went over with her about 2 months before the event. Everything was smooth sailing and we only had one contact/point person to talk to, which was great not having to talk to multiple vendors. The staff was respectful, courteous, and very helpful, they stayed on top of drink orders, fountain and adult, and were constantly making sure the tables were kept clear. We couldn’t have been happier with the experience and how everything fell into place. We will definitely be having future events here.
St. Patricks Day, went for a late lunch. It was very boisterous with a large birthday party next to us. But still a nice visit.
Very friendly waiter. Kept drinks refilled.we didnt order food
Ive been here a handful of times, basically whenever Im in town. I love the shepherds pie (my favorite), but Ive enjoyed everything that Ive had there. Cant go wrong here.
Pretty good overall. Loved the chicken sandwich I got, and the wings appetizer. My only complaint is that the fries were a little soggy and the queso and salsa is lacking flavor. They werent terrible, but I think I would just stick with wings next time.
Madison Langley and Chedly (great new addition to the team) rocked it!!!! Totally made us feel at home so welcoming! Did a great job explaining the menu (which has a lot of options). Food came out fast and hot! Small family reunion so we had a great time! Will def come back!
Loved the food. Loved the drinks. Loved the atmosphere. It’s like every time I eat there I notice something new on the walls that brings me closer to what a pub should be. And the service is top tier, I had a server named Kaitlyn recently and she was awesome! 12/10 service and she got me everything I needed fast and efficiently. Felt like I knew her for years the moment she welcomed us to the restaurant. Will return again. 👍
We love the Irish pub. They always have Guinness on tap. Servers are great. They have lots of seating options. Food is good. I do wish they would play some Irish music!
Everything was great! The best food weve had in a while!!!
Jenna was my server when I got there Andrew took over after her. Julia, Alexis were two servers that took care of me as well. Meet two shift managers Alex and Devon (I believe that’s the correct spelling) great guys and professional. Service was fantastic food was delicious I had meaningful conversations with the staff they were welcoming and me feel right at home. Great people love the feel and decor looks like a pub. Couldn’t asked for a better experience. Recommend highly.
Burger was great, sweet potatoe fries were great and the okra was great
I was in town for a rugby scrimmage and we went to Irish Bred afterwards for the social. It was a neat little place with good service. The specialty apps of the day were crab bites and fried mushrooms. I didnt particularly care for the crab bites, but the mushrooms were great. There were some Irish menu items, but the majority of the dishes were not. I had the Shepherds Pie. I am the kind of person who absolutely loves cheese on most everything. This dish was no exception. However, it was the first Shepherds Pie I have had with this much cheese. Im not saying I didnt enjoy it, but the cheese did overpower the flavors of most everything else. This is the only reason Im giving 4 out of 5 stars.
We were underwhelmed by our visit. The server was very good, but the tortilla chips we were served with our dip were stale, and the fish my husband ordered was inedible. My stew was good, so we ended up sharing my meal. The manager took the fish off our bill without being asked to do so. We think the server took care of that when he saw that my husband only took one bite of his fish.
Very good service and very friendly. Food was also good
The fish and chips was very air E.GOOD CRUST NOT ALOT OF FLAVOR. WE ATE ITCOLE SLAW NA.the frys cold .tartar sauce good.the medium hot wings pretty good .the chicken wrap my wife ate it .she loved sweet potatoe frys yummy 😋. The bread so good.service very very good .place has good vibe .will try agai.
My wife said her Chicken Philly was good.My Fish and Chips was not. The fish was overcooked to the point that when I tried to cut it with a fork the breading would shatter and go all over the plate. Wound up just picking the pieces up to eat. Very little flavor but it may have been cooked out.
Burger was top 10. Real talk. Onion rings and fries were cold. Thats the only reason this isnt a five-star review. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was stellar as well. The wings were incredible.
The bartenders and food was great. The manager was rude as hell and made it to where well never be back. Hopefully they change up their management.
Solid burger and seasoned fries, out of a few drafts but bartender Joilie had helpful suggestions. Smaller place so cozy and just a few staff making everything happen so quality, small town spot
The security guy kicked me out for no reason after I used the bathroom. The guy mumbled to himself giving me no clear reasoning at all and just straight kicked me out. If anyone else had the same experience let me know, but I got no real reason for why I got kicked out besides the other security guys saying the dudes dad pays their paycheck.
Fish was way over battered and oily fried green tomatoes just okay. But service was good. Pricey for what was served.
Well service was good. Food was good. But ordered a Burger asked for side salad instead of fries. Was charged full price for Burger but did not get fries and they added $3 charge for an iceberg salad. Then ordered a pitcher of beer was charged $32.70 for the pitcher. We were not told that would be the cost of anything. No drink prices on menu or pitcher prices. Asked to talk to manager. She gave us a 10% discount on a $110 bill. $12 for each Burger x2 price is with a side,(no fries) 2 side salads they added $3 each but tgat was the side. Ruben meal and salad pitcher of IPA beer $32 + mixed drink $6 total $110 without tip for 3 women. No credit on Burger.
Great staff. Food is good. Lots of high tables so its a little challenging if you need a high chair. Hopefully low table is available if you have a little one.
Excellent! Our server was wonderful. So friendly and helpful! Food was great! The fish and chips are the best! Also have some great burgers and sandwiches. It was a Friday night and we still had great service- not slowed even though it was crowded.
My first time here and loved it, the food was fresh and really really delicious, I just wish I lived closer to this place to keep coming more often.I really enjoyed my fish and chips, best ones Ive ever had and I have tried it in a lot of places.Give them a shot and dont forget to get you a cold Guinness on draft
Great food and service, worth the trip!
We ordered 3 different appetizers and everything was prepackaged frozen bar food basically. It was like fast food for three times the price. The blarney hamburger with grilled vegetables was good according to my son. Service was a little slow but thats typical these days. Staff was friendly.
Its good place to eat and drink. Food us good and drinks are reasonable. They sit on a good spot on the Sqaure so you can enjoy drinks while watching events.
No spice in fried okra, coleslaw or hamburger. Batter on fish was way too thick. Making it soggy. Salsa with chips tasted like Tostitos salsa from a jar. Sent it back. Not going back to this restaurant.
We live in Carrollton and this is one of our favorite restaurants. No matter what you order, the food is always great. My favourite is the beer battered chicken sandwich with onion rings. My husband loves the corned beef on rye with kettle chips. Both our boys love their shepherds pie. And our daughter swears the Blarney burger is one of the best burgers shes eaten. They are usually busy, but the service is good and youll be glad you stopped by.
I had the Salmon Burger, its was great, but I would suggest a cream sauce to go on the bun to keep it from being dry. The loaded fries will fill you up, they give you a ton and they were delicious. My fiancé had the Buffalo chicken bacon ranch bowl and it was definitely worth it! Be prepared though, if you pay with card, theres a slight upcharge versus if you pay cash!
Philly cheese steak was dissapointingly a bunch of bread. Barely any steak onions n cheese for 15 bucks. I think I had 3 bites with a hint of meat unfortunately. Onion rings were good n had plenty of them though. Nice service from bartender as well. Put some meat in there cook.
The service here was SOOOO nice!!! Leila, or Leela, sorry, I forgot her name!! She was SOOO kind and took care of us! The food was amazing! I’m definitely planning to come back to try out more!UPDATE: I’ve gone three more times since this happened and the food just was not great anymore! Stick with the traditional American stuff. The service is still really good, but the food hasn’t been great.
The food here was absolutely amazing, and their service was amazing. A waiter checked up on my table not to often but they were quite helpful. Though the only thing i disliked about this was that some of the waiters(not the one serving are table) were quite rude..
On our 5 day Irish Pub tour, we stopped in Carrolton, Ga at the Irish Bred Pub for lunch. We sat at the bar and ordered our usual Irish beer, Smithwicks, and Harp. Our bartender, Sydney was very friendly and attentive. We shared the big turkey wrap and salad. It was indeed a big turkey wrap.We would definitely visit this Irish pub again.
If you’re thinking about coming here just for the food, don’t. It all tasted store bought and straight out of the microwave. The place was really dirty and just overall gross. The reason I gave 2 stars is because the staff was super nice and attendant.
Typical southern burger join.Fun place to have few drinks. But Don’t expect to have fresh salads or good food here. I got served a salad dish that lettuce was probably 2 days old.
Our waitress was excellent! Clean place. The food needs some improving..i.e. The special was baked cod, it was baked so hard, impossible to eat. Our salads were ok, lettuce was in large huge pieces, needed to be chopped for more pleasurable eating. So they need someone in the kitchen to come up with better ideas on the food service.
We have been coming here for years now and though the food has always been mediocre consistently, the pitcher prices were fantastic and kept us coming but now the price has doubled on a pitcher. The location is good to view life on the square and may bring us in on occasion but our visits will be far less frequent because of the exorbitant increase. I went to West Georgia and know how hard it is to live and go to school. I am sure the students are sure to be disappointed that a great Thursday night gathering place has just become a little less attractive to come to as well.
This place is consistently good! Make sure you try the burger. Not much in the way of dessert, but the food is great and the service is great too. One of the best places to eat in West GA. And even though its in an older building with alot of hard surfaces, its one of the few places where its not super loud, even when theyre busy. Dont miss it!!!! Its so good!
We eat there frequently. Always good food and good service.Don Brown
My wife and I came here after a brief Google search of local cuisine. I am a huge fan of anything Irish so here we are. I had the Shepard pie and my wife had the guiness BBQ chicken. Both were fantastic and we are very pleased! This may just be our new spot. Our server Jolie was amazing!!!
Great pub food! Great selection of booze. It has a little bit of a pub/sports bar fusion going on, but stays true to its theme. They have a large selection on the menu considering the size and location, but food is always hot and fresh. Parking is much better now with the additional decks around the square. Also convenient to hundreds of events at the Amp. I highly recommend Irish Bred Pub!
Usually this place has pretty good food for a bar. However I went in there today and ordered a French dip sandwich and the roast beef was noticeably old in taste. I could not finish the whole thing because it tasted so bad and was actually making my stomach sick. I told the manager about this and she said she would give me half off the price. She ended up only taking 10% off. Huge letdown for a place that is usually good.
Ive been coming here since 2006 and the quality has only improved over the years! The food is always delicious, the staff is nice and remember people, and there is plenty to drink on a game night!! If you want some good food in a fun atmosphere, me your way!
Our waitress was great! The shepherds pie was a little dry and a little bit too much potato with not enough filling. Overall, we had a great time and we are well taken care of. Thanks Bailey!
Always enjoy coming here. Their ribs are very good. Ive had their wings which are also really good. My favorite meal though is the fish and chips. This trip we had chips and cheese then the fish and chips. I left happy and full. The wait staff are always on point. They never fail to please.
Sitting at the bar is never a disappointment. Sam was a great hostess. Good conversation and good recommendations on the food and drinks. Definitely will recommend to family and friends, and will definitely be back!
Went and saw the New Downton Abbey movie (FABULOUS!) & afterwards we were famished so we first went to a seafood joint (rhymes with F*ckers) that said 45 minute wait & acted like they didnt give a shyte if we ever came back so we moseyed on down the road & ended up here because my sister said they had a good menu....My sister had a Salad with Salmon & it was delicious (I even tried it--and it was really good!). I was going to try the Fish & Chips but they were out of fish so I defaulted to a Black & Blue Burger. Everything about it (Lettuce, Tomatoes, Pickles) was great--except for the burger patty itself. It was not very good at all. As a matter of fact, it was the worst burger I remember having since I dont know when. I was surprised because everything else in the burger was really good--even the bun.TL;DR: Will go back but will get the Fish & Chips.
It was decent food. My chicken in my chicken wrap was overcooked and dry. They were super busy so that might have had something to do with that. Otherwise my husband had no complaints about his burger. Waitress was really nice and so was the hostess.
A Must Eat!Ive been to The Pub a few times and every time it was really good. I went with a group of 5 other friends on a Friday night and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered drinks before we ate and they were brought out quick and cold. The best part to me was the food. I ordered a Thousand Island Burger and it was huge, not to mention one of the best burgers Ive ever eaten! The waitress was nice and checked in several times to make sure everything was in good shape but she didnt get annoying with it which is good. The Pub is a great place to eat no matter who youre there with; friends, drinking buddies, or family. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
I was sorely disappointed. With all of the positive reviews I thought this place would be great. Nope. Brock was a good server but the food was not good. Very generic and tasted like frozen or canned. Had to send my steak back bc I ordered medium and it came out well done. I sent it back and it came back rare which is better but a professional cook should be able to tell. Never again. Save your money and go to Brown Dog
Food was all right. Service was below average. We were offered green beer from St. pattys day kinda weird, In my opinion, no one wants old beer
We wanted a quick sandwich before finishing our shopping excursion and were seated as soon as we walked in as they were not busy. Our server was very knowledgeable and quick to serve us. Our food was delicious and hot and we enjoyed our visit and was out in less than an hour. Would definitely recommend!
We ordered fish and chips - fish fillet, coleslaw, French fries, and bread with sweet tea. We went on a Friday night and it was busy but not overly so. Our waiter was very attentive and anyone who walked by would ask if you needed refills, etc. We will return.
My son decided to attend University in Ireland. So we chose this restaurant to celebrate. The menu has tons of choices. Prices are typical for this type of establishment. The service was awesome! Hannah did a great job keeping our drinks filled. The food came out very quickly. We were in the upstairs dining area. The food tasted great! I would highly recommend this location! Come by and try it when you are in the area.
I had the worst meal I ever had at a restaurant. I ordered corned beef and cabbage. Everything was separated. The potatoes were tasteless, the cabbage cold and the meat was so dried out I had trouble cutting it with a steak night. My husband had a Reuben that tasted like the meat was spoiled and bread stale. Couldnt produce a manager
I ordered the teriyaki bowl. Description was grilled chicken cooked with, peppers, onions, and mushrooms over a bed of rice. Ha I got a mushy bowl of rice with very few of those things in it. I called to ask what was up, the lady was very rude. I was rude back.
Awesome!!! Sat on the second floor balcony with a beautiful view. Waiter was attentive and let us know about the $3.74 pitchers of house beer. Manager (or it couldve been the owner) stopped over to chat and check in on us and he was really cool! Food was great and perfect portions for the price. Beer was cold :) will be back!
Extremely poor customer service. Andrew said “you didn’t spend a dime here” when my husband was on tab and bought 6 drinks within 10 mins of arrival..lol……. We left right after that. Total vibe kill. Condescending for absolutely no reason. Place was a total buzzkill. I would recommend going somewhere else on the square. Also food isn’t that great. Burgers are soggy and wings are tiny and dry.
This is a nice place with surprisingly good food for a pub and grill. 4 stars because they didnt have my first 2 choices of beer, not a good look for a pub. The service is fast and friendly, very attentive as well. I had a steak, which was cooked much better than I expected, the price for the whole experience was very reasonable.i would eat here again.
Love the shepards pie!! Its why we come
Awful service, mediocre at best food, over poured drinks and absolutely the rudest staff I have ever encountered at any establishment. The only time I’ll be back is to visit this very rude individual we encountered and teach him some manners.Who ever is doing the onboarding there has absolutely no clue what they are doing. They are breeding disrespectful & unprofessional staff. Just a dirty little college town bar.Literally do yourself a favor and eat or drink at any other place on the square for a better experience.Extremely disappointed.
My husband and I really enjoyed meeting our friends and family @the Irish Bred Pub & Grill. I had the Philly Cheese steak sandwich and he had the Fish and Chips.. this place has a great atmosphere we will be back.
This was the first time my wife and myself visited the bred pub. It was so good we will be back.
The food was good but the service was terrible. The waitress check on us once (when she brought out the food) and then added her own tip on the check (15%) I know that with large groups there’s expected but it was just me, my fiancé and son on the check. And she also charged for my sons drink that comes with his meal and then when I asked about it she said that was just how the system rung it up. But when we called and asked the price and if the drink was included the price they gave us was cheaper then the price she charged us. So I would definitely double check your tickets.
This place is everything you could want from a great local place to eat. Good for, good atmosphere and great service. Make sure you ask to sit in Lela’s section. She is so nice and does everything she can to take care of you. She really goes above and beyond! #supportlocal
Jeff had the fish and chips and declared them excellent. My reuben was tasty but not nearly as good as my siss corned beef plate with a CHUNK! And the grilled veggies! Service was very good on a mid-afternoon ...and we really appreciated it! We will be back next time in town!
You GOTTA try the BLT with Avocados, Blue cheese crumbles, and REAL bacon! Service was timely and our needs were accommodated. Great prices. Clean establishment. Social distancing in Full effect. Definitely will visit again.
Arrived at 9PM on a Friday night, there were not many people inside and we were sat at a booth in a nice spot. We waited nearly 15 minutes and the girl who sat us walked by our table 4 times and never asked if we wanted water or even a menu. Two of the servers were sitting at a table with their feet propped up and talking to some man. No one seemed to care there were new customers in the place that wanted to have a nice meal and spend money on drinks. I will not be coming back, and will not recommend this place. That type of service would have been somewhat understandable under packed conditions, but there was no excuse for that. Very unhappy with this experience
I had the best Chicken wrap ever!! you need to try it. I highly recommend this place for lunch and for a nice drink if you need to relax a bit. The staff is very friendly and patient when you arrive and you may be indecisive they will help you decide. I will be a returning customer.
Come here for drinks, not food. Other than it generally just not being tasty, the sanitation is horrendous. One of my friends who worked here was cooking on the grill, when the managers started freaking out over a looming health inspection. This manager then proceeded to jump onto the grill that my friend was cooking the customers food on to clean the vents directly over the food. No thank you, I am not eating non-slip rubber and grill vent crud bc you guys fail to do basic maintenance
I think this is one of the better places on the Square in Carrollton. The food has always been good for me, and most things freshly made. Ive not been impressed with the burgers, but apps and other sandwiches are great. Wait staff is always seemingly flighty, and the last two times my change from a cash payment has been short by a dollar or more.
Good trivia and great music. A good place to spend a Wednesday night with friends. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and cant wait until I have an opportunity to go again. Their dessert is pretty good too!
Love love love this place! Everything is excellent!! The food, the staff, the atmosphere, its beautiful in there, they let you choose where to be seated which is a super big plus for me!
The food was cold and horribly made. The spinach dip was watery, and the burgers were like hokey pucks. The patty melt was the saddest thing Ive ever seen, and nothing tasted like it was even seasoned. Im assuming the bar is the only thing keeping this place open.
Been living here 6 years. Has great prices for beers and alcohol but the food is not fresh. Kinda seems like frozen food. Some finger foods like onion rings or wings are ok to pair with your beer but beyond that the food isnt that great. The quality kinda depreciated over time. Great place to get drunk and dance to the DJ on the weekends though!
Staff is amazing. Food is wonderful! But the TVs sure could use a once over! Just once a month with Windex would be great! Hard to enjoy a game with beer streaks running down.
As a lunch time visit the experience was pleasant. I had a couple of specialty beers that were reasonably priced and as an appetizer we had the spinach/artichoke dip. The dip was horrible. It may have been reheated, I dont know, but there was no real taste. No flavor until we dug up artichoke hearts from the bottom of the bowl. Very disappointing. My girl and I both ordered the Avocado BLT w/garlic mayo. Awesome sandwich. I want another one. Too bad the fries were cold and soggy. I could have dealt with the food situation buy in the middle of the afternoon I went to the bathroom. It was not clean. There was vomit on the side of the toilet bowl and on the wall. MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON. I did not need to see that. I will not be going back again.
The macaroni cheese is the best thing ever. It was so flavorful and savory. The cheese was perfectly melted. The overall environment is so engaging and pleasant.
The Shepherds Pie was off the chain. My daughter and I loved it. We sat upstairs from 7:30-8:30 (ish) on Friday night. Our waitress was exceptional, friendly, attentive, and helpful with choices. We will definitely be back.
They fantastically blended many items for some great starters. I had a nice fresh salad. They have several beers on tap. There was a very kind waitress. They asked if we were from Florida. They were concerned for Florida refugees. Although we werent, the good food and kind thoughts makes this a superb place to have dinner.
First impression & First time experience NOT GOOD AT ALL. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I can NOT review or say anything about the food because we did NOT even get a chance to order our food. The waitress asked us for our drinks, we ordered and looked at the menu to see what we wanted to eat, we tried being patient with her. We waited 20 minutes for our drinks and then the hostess asked us is everything ok? We said No we are still waiting on drinks, she said she would go get her to bring our drinks and The hostess literally did not to that all she went to a table and talked. So we left.
Really good burger and shepards pie
Not as good and lacking the menu as the one in Opelika.
Weve been here several times and always had a good experience, but that was months ago. This recent visit was not good. We waited four minutes for someone to even acknowledge we had walked in and come to seat us. We waited over ten minutes between the time we got our drinks to when they took our order. My husband didnt get his salad until they brought our food out. We were sitting in one of the entrance booths, and could see what appeared to be their internet router sitting above their hostess booth, and you could see the dust caked up on it. It did nothing for our appetite. By the time our food finally made it to our table, we only had ten minutes left to eat before we had to leave. No, they were not that busy.....there were several empty tables and booths. We were truly disappointed this time, and wont be returning anytime soon.
Went here for dinner we had soup of the day mushroom brie that was amazing. Fish and chips with great slaw and fantastic fries, had the Shepherds pie that was very good as well. The only red beer in this Irish pub was Killians Irish Red. Bartender and our waitress didnt know that they had it.
The food is excellent. We got shephards pie, fish and chips, and Buffalo ranch chicken bowl. Shephards pie and fish and chips were each well above average. Beer selection is decent. Waitress was attentive. Decor is cozy and relaxing: however interior acts as an echo chamber making it very loud. Hallway to bathroom passes by kitchen and has had a greese spill, making it very slippery.
We had nachos as an appetizer. My wife enjoyed the shepherds pie. The fish and chips were good as well. This is a typical Pub. The night we stopped in they had trivia up stairs. They had plenty of Guinness.
Great pub! Printer’s Ale Black Porter on tap goes great with their big delicious burgers and sweet potato fries, but my favorite is the Fish and Chips. Friendly and attentive staff make us feel welcome and always seem to be enjoying themselves while taking good care of us. Slainte!
Great little downtown pub with Irish beer and good food to match. Workers all wore masks. Got a little crowded for avoiding a virus so be aware of that. Overall it has that rustic look and a lively atmosphere you come to expect from an Irish pub. Highly recommended.
Horrible customer service. The bartender running the upstairs bar (Nikki) abruptly closed the bar during the World Series and forced everyone (8 or 10 of us) out, all because she wanted to go downstairs and drink and party with her friends. Apparently her urge to get downstairs was so powerful that she couldn’t even wait for the current inning to end, instead herding us all out right in the middle of an at-bat, with all of us very clearly and obviously watching the game. Abject failure in both situational awareness and customer service. My friends and I will not be back.
Had the black and blue salad. It was okay, steak was cooked well but would have liked dark leafy greens not iceberg lettuce.
Delicious food, burgers sandwiches and especially the shepherds pie hit the spot. Also decently priced drink options. Makes you feel your at a authentic Irish pub.
The booth was a little small for 6 of us. The food was great. We left full and happy.
My Mom and I visited for lunch and had to wait a little while to be seated. It was a bit problematic because my mom cant stand easily for long periods of time and they had no place to sit while we waited. We had to specifically request a chair for her to sit while we waited. Once we finally got a table the wait for our food was relatively short. My mom had the Shepherds Pie and I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl. The food was delicious and perfect. My mom ordered a half and half tea (half unsweet/half sweet) but it was still too sweet for her and she felt dizzy and out of sorts after we were done with our food and beverages. Hopefully the folks that work here and run the place can take things into consideration for all their potential customers. Even though it is technically a pub doesnt mean that varied types/ages of customers may not visit. It would be nice to know that older folks or disabled people will have just of good an experience here as younger able bodied patrons.
Excellent service and food. Prices are great, very reasonable. Large selection to choose from. Highly recommend!
The food here is delicious, and our server Ian was phenomenal. I haven’t had service this good in awhile so it was a really nice dinner. 10/10 would most definitely go again!
Man we got there later than expected and missed the main menu. It was friday so it was packed. We were passed by close to 6 times without anyone taking so much as our drink order. Then we met Scottie... this man was awesome. My beer never emptied and the service was prompt and exceptional. We will definitely be back.
Employees were making fun of guests (a lady had waaaaay too much to drink and a random bar guest helped her, not staff.) The bartender couldnt pour a proper Black and Tan (it really can be difficult). The server didnt know what a black and Tan was--much less what they had on tap (mediocre selection with a couple craft brews.) There was a slight odor in restaurant, that wasnt obscene, but detectable. However, the food was delicious. Bottom line, if the staff wasnt so deplorable, itd be an okay place to return to.
We waited far too long for service and when the food finally arrived the corned beef was tough, chewy and lacked flavor. When asked if everything was okay I explained I didnt like my meal but the server never offered to bring me something else, didnt remove the uneaten meal from the bill and never sent a manager to visit with us.
Ive visited this location several times over the years. Im definitely a fan of ordinary bar food and the wings have always been good. The service has always been satisfactory as well.
It is usually really good food. But today was a let down. We came in at 215pm after the lunch rush. Not busy at all, maybe 3 or 4 tables occupied. Took our waitress 15 min on drinks, then 10 min to get our app order. Total of hour and half to eat lunch. We get the fried green tomatoes, 4 slices for 8 bucks. The 2 that were edible were delicious, sent the other 2 back and was told they would have to make a whole order to replace it. Why was this a problem? Said they couldnt waste a whole tomato for 1/2 order...lol... chicken philly was cold as well as fries were old. Manager said they would give us 10% discount on fried green maters which is 80 cents. Are u kidding me? We get the bill and no discount at all! Something is up at the pub lately with management. We are regulars and can see it. We are the ones that keep yall open so i would suggest taking better care of us b4 you become a thing of the past!
I ordered three different types of beer and they were out of all three or didnt sell it anymore..even though they were still on the drink menu. Finally found one they had, took 10 mins to get it. I ordered an appetizer ( spinach dip) took over 20 mins. Then I go to order a main course, they were also out of that. So I just stuck to my appetizer. Waitress was nice. Place wasnt very busy to be waiting that long/out of menu items.
The waitress was awesome. The food was subpar. The owner was entertaining the suits... the menu has changed and not for the better. We visted here a few times. Not sure why its changed but do not recommend and will not return
My grown daughter is a very picky eater. She got the chicken salad with fried chicken. She wouldnt stop talking about how good it was.
Offers a great places for some beer and grub. Food is always tasty and moderately priced. They offer Tuesday Trivia upstairs on tuesday nights. Have nice balcony seating overlooking the Square. Also a good place for the Thurs-Sat night bar scene where they turn the upstairs into a little mini club scene with dance floor by the bar.
Easily the worst meal Ive ever had. Chips stale and salsa out of a can were the worst. French dip was over cooked and dry. Sweet potatoe fries over cooked and burned. At least the service was friendly and decent, but the food was terrible.
I had the chicken and black bean nachos. My wife had the Sheppards pie. Both dishes were awesome. Loved it. Service was great too!
Was turned away by staff because my friend had on mildly distressed jeans. I never leave angry reviews online but the dress code here is ridiculous and is not posted anywhere. Ive been here before and can say that such a dress code is neither earned nor warranted in an establishment such as this. We were planning to meet some friends inside and celebrate new years eve all together, but we gladly took our business elsewhere once turned away. I understand not allowing jogging pants or shorts but not letting potential customers in because of some mild distressing around the knee of their jeans while wearing an otherwise classy outfit is just bad business!😂😂
Really not a fan of this place. All the staff was at their own pace and not concerned with customer service at all. Fish n chips, an Irish staple of pub food came out oil filled with the smallest portion of frys Ive ever had.
Steak was cooked perfectly and the ribs were tender and tasty. We washed it down with a really good ale and the service was great...whats not to like? Well be back!
So far a fail on their UNFILTERED WATER
Was hoping for some good old down home southern barbecue while in Georgia, but all the good places were closed on Sunday! We stumbled on this place, reviews were good but it was just ok; have had better pub food! Best thing about this place was our amazing server! Other than that, wasnt impressed and it was just okk. 👌
The Pub is a great place to go for lunch or dinner, but if they tell you theres going to be a wait, you might as well leave. Of the 2 times ice been told theres a wait and I stayed, the wait has been at least 20 mins longer than estimated and the food comes out cooled down like its just been sitting waiting to be picked up for ten minutes.
My mom, my daughter and I ate here around 12:30 PM on Saturday June 15th. The place was not busy, only seemed steady. After we were seated it took 10 mins before our server acknowledged us. We ordered our food at the same time he took our drink order to speed things along. 30 mins later he didnt check on us even once before our food came. My moms California burger was luke warm as were her fries and my fries. When we were done we stacked our plates and the hostess cleared our table before our server came back to run my card. All the girls shirts were longer than their shorts which made it look like they werent wearing shorts at all. The hostess was doing more work than the server.
First time here and I loved it!Had a White Russian, with Queso dip and the Thousand Island Burger. It was delicious! Highly recommend the White Cheddar Mac & Cheese.I will be back!
Blackened salmon bowl is my fav! Always a great time with my ladies dinner group when we go! Staff is always very welcoming!
Really fun place after dining hours on Thursday nights. The bartenders try to get to everyone, some are much better than others, some make it obvious they only want to help certain people. But if youre looking for a good fun time on the weekends this is it.
Got the reuben sandwich. It was marginally better than Arbys, so a little overpriced. They gave me a packet of mayo for it?? Still 5 stars because service and onion rings were great.
The Carrollton location is pretty good although not as good as the sister restaurant that was in Douglasville. We had to keep reminding our server to bring out items that were a standard part of the menu.
We eat at the Pub frequently and enjoy many of their menu items; however our favorites are the smoked tuna dip appetizer, the fish and chips, the shepherds pie, the 1000 Island burger, and the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese bowl. You can’t go wrong with any of these menu items.
Good pub in the town square area of Carrollton GA. Has two levels so you can fit a larger group easily and several televisions upstairs for watching multiple games. Several beers on tap and the food was good. Kitchen was a little slow for a larger group but staff were attentive.
If you like Irish pubs, youll like this one
Great atmosphere, nice staff
Great Fish and Chips. Maytag Chips are a must try also!
Horrible experience. Ordered and no food after AN HOUR wait. Fish and chips at an Irish bar…wow…there’s a infrequent order. Walked out and went Brown Dog. Highly recommend…YOU DON’T GO THERE!
I heard about the Facebook post that showed real pictures of the kitchen, but I had never ate there so I decided to see if the post was even real for my blog.Long story short, I ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich and “went to the bathroom” to take a good look at the kitchen, which STILL looked exactly like the pictures even after this post went viral, AND some of the kitchen staff were making horrible jokes. After all that, I proceeded to throw up for the next three days and get diagnosed with salmonella poisoning after running some tests at my doctors office.Needless to say, I would think twice before eating here and do not go to the bathroom unless you enjoy hearing very racist slurs from the white kitchen staff.
The Shepherds pie was really good, but the service was very poor. I plan on giving them another chance before I go home.
Really great lunch spot. Fair priced and delicious. Bar staff was very friendly and on their game. Not in carrollton often but every time I am, Im stopping for lunch!
Stopped in for a quick lunch and the wrap I had was great. It was my first experience eating here but i think Ill definitely be trying it again in the future.
As of this past weekend, I would rate this place ZERO stars! The new security is unnecessarily rude and arrogant. Weve happily been coming here a very long time. This weekend (Veterans Day), we were turned away by some new college security kid because a guy in our group was wearing shorts (regular, normal shorts!). The security guy out front was very rude about the matter and wouldnt let us speak to the manager about it. Weve come here numerous times without our wardrobe ever being questioned. Shorts have never been a problem here for as long as I can remember, so we figure hes just knit-picking the clientele. What gives? Our guess, they just want an excuse to let in more college kids instead of getting any more of our business. Their loss! Come to find out... later that night, we spoke with another group who had the same problem. Whats going on over there? This used to be a really good place to meet and have a drink. Now, you cant even get in if youre wearing shorts?!
I had one of the best experiences I have ever had at a bar restaurant. The food was phenomenal and the waitress was amazing (Kensey L). Couldn’t have ask for better service.
After 10:00 there is a dress code. No sweatpants, no plain white shirts. Nothing that could be taken/ seen as gang related. Great atmosphere, beautiful girls everywhere. Highly recommended
Long story short, my roommate lost her phone there and flew out the next day, Jami stepped up and sent it back to her! That alone deserves 5 stars but everything about this place was incredible. Next time we are back we will be back! AND KEEP OUR PHONES IN OUR POCKETS. lol
More bar than restaurant with loud music. Food was ok. The steak and cheese was super salty. The beef stew was tasty and the fish and chips really werent that good. Nonetheless, everything was decent.
When we arrived our service was terrible from the start. I had to get our own condiment tray, remind our waitress to being menus, get my own silverware and go inside to get refills on sweet tea and ice. I asked what Irish beer they had since I only saw Strongbow on tap. The girl waiting on us said shed bring the bar manager upstairs so I could talk directly with him. He comes up and I said, Any Makenzies or Angry Orchard or Killians Irish Red He responded by saying that they had Guiness. Thats great if you want liquid pork chop in a bottle. However an IRISH pub should carry more than one IRISH beer. Thank God for Jamesons whiskey because they had that. JESUS. If I could rate it -5 stars I would. Also, the bartender who made the peach margarita was amazing. It truly was a perfect peach margarita. By the time we left, I should have asked for my paycheck as much running around as I did for my table and my guests....
Wish I could have tried the food but I ate before I went. Nice waitress and fun atmosphere. Would return, if in town.
Justin is the best server they have. The pub is a good restaurant with some Irish fare. Everything tastes great and the dining is very nice. One of my favorite places.
Good food, good beer selection and friendly servers are found here. Its a regular stop during our trips to and through the area. I highly recommend this fun little place!
I like the look of the restaurant, I was totally comfortable. The only thing is my corn beef hash was a little tuff to eat.I did like the pricing, very reasonable.I will totally go back!
Half the tables were empty but they werent currently seating anyone, sounds like a smart business decision not keeping tables full. Walked up to the bar it was full though with a number of employees just standing around.
A great place to eat locally on the Carrollton Square. Food and Service was great. Great atmosphere.
Less start by the service sucks. Food is ok. Have had better. I was not going to post anything but 2 stars but when the owner finds you on facebook then PM you to ask you why you only gave it two stars. Well this is why. You need to train your staff on service. Do not ask if you dont want to know.
The food is delicious. It has a nice variety of foods from blue plate like to bar food. The staff is very nice, and its a great place to go to wacth your sports team or hang with friends.
The Irish Pub feels anything but Irish, and I am finally accepting this. You have to go to Ireland for the real deal with music and reeling. The music is American rock and country. The food is typical frozen-to-fried American bar food. I love the chicken strips with poppyseed dressing, but I shouldnt eat them. The wraparound deck is lovely. The odor another poster has mentioned is real, and I think its years of beer and grease soaking into the wood floors.
I love this place. Its my second time here and Ive had great service once again. Madison is a wonderful waitress and I will most likely ask for her next time I go!!
I feel like this place is home away from home. I absolutely love coming here. I first visited this establishment in May and fell in love with the place. Even made some friends and I also have my preferred bartender and waitress.
Blue cheese burger was frozen beef pattie with blue cheese salad dressing on bun. Not what I expected. Fresh hamburger meat with real blue cheese, not salad dressing!!
Its that home feeling where everybody knows everyone. Food is great and service was good too. Right next to the court house. Nice
Nice restaurant good food.My GF left her gucci sunglasses. The next day we called and they said they had them but when we arrived to pick them up, they were gone.
Basic Irish pub grub. I like the shepards pie, Stan always gets the fish and chips. Always friendly and attentive staffers. Prices are very reasonable. Guinness on tap!
Always like their wings. Doubt I will ever go back because of the filth in the womens restroom, no towels to dry hands, commodes filthy and/or not working. Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like! I was very disgusted when I left there Saturday evening.
Friendly staff and very good food. different items for your taste plus large portions. cozy and comfy. parking is the only issue.
Good food, fast service (upstairs at least). Its a bar in a small town so the vibes are exactly what you expect. My friend and I had a great time.
One of my favorite restaurants in the area by far. I almost always go for the Sheppards Pie, but everything I have had so far has been exceptional.
Mildly racist against blacks. Been this way since Ive lived here back in 2012. Some good people. Usually fun weekend nights but I never actually drop a coin to support this place. Yeah should treat black people better. Yall are the shitiest bar on the square anyway, just well known
The chicken in my dish had obviously been kept under a heat lamp so long that it dried out, got hard, and was impossible to actually eat. Another person at my table had the same experience with a different chicken dish.
The food was really good, service was good, and I really appreciate the prices arent too much.. I got my moneys worth in food, definitely
Best restaurant in the entire world. (watch out for chi phis projectile vomiting on bathroom walls) but on a serious note, the teriyaki chicken bowl is bussin bussin!!!
