Golden Green Hotel

I was there one night to see Daniel tosh perform at the place next door. This is one the worst places i have ever stayed in. No amount of cleaning can fix this place... at this point it needs a complete remodel. Were talking millions of dollars in construction work needs to be done to get this place up to standard. The parking garage is falling apart, ac was making this comically loud knocking noise and the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking water. Honestly, Im not sure how theyre legally able to stay open. They also charged me 96 bucks to stay here. Tosh was great though.

As someone who used to work here, dont do it. Stay elsewhere. This place is great if you want to bring cockroaches and bedbugs home with you. Youll also probably leave with a breathing problem because of the mold in the walls. Also this is very much a drug hotel. Most of the guests are drug dealers and users.

Checked in for the weekend after dealing with an issue on Greyhound they accommodated me and my service dog but when I went to go pay their weekly rate since my job rather me in the area they refused to allow me to book weekly on the basis of my service dog. On top of that the AC and my room was not working and one night there was no power due to a car hitting a power line and they did nothing to make up for that or the AC. There was water leaking out of a pipe right when you walk in the front door staff was overall pretty well except for the owner who is refusing to accommodate me and is discriminating

It was awful. The photos were totally different than the reality. Entire building smelled like cigarettes. Our rooms door had obviously been busted into in the past. Everything was broken and busted. We ended up not staying.

The hotel was nothing like it was. When I looked at the photos I thought it was clean a nice but it was the complete opposite. The rooms smelled like cigarettes and the bathrooms had mold. A drunk man was in front of my door and didnt leave. We were stuck and it was scary. Security did nothing about it. If I could give this negative star I would. The mattress was dirty and dusty. Save your money, I dont recommend coming here.

This is an OK place to rest over night. There has been some improvements since the last time visiting. The only thing I didnt like about my last visit, the heat did not work in the rooms.Although things, didnt work for me, the staff made sure that I had options. I decided to get the refund as one of the options. The staff was kind and caring. I look forward to my next visit.Had nothing to do with the Republican Convention.

If you’re looking for a sign to find a better hotel to stay at for the price, this is your sign. The check in process was horrendous and after finally getting our room, we’re met with the most disgusting atmosphere you can imagine. I don’t care how old the hotel is, it shouldn’t excuse the cleanliness aspect. There were dead bugs in various locations, mold in the tiniest bathroom you can imagine, and a non working thermometer. Don’t get me started on the rest of the room. Just go somewhere else and save your skin from crawling.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff is super helpful. The only con is the beds were ROCK HARD no softness whatsoever!! But the view from our 5th-floor room was spectacular!! The sunsets and the sunrises took my breath away

The staff is great and hospitable the rooms are clean and bug free, yea its a little vintage but that what makes it a great stay. My family and I was comfortable there. For the price you pay its worth the buck. Other note I have read some bad reviews about the place and was a little uneasy at first about reserving a room. Once I got there those feelings and thoughts completely left. We enjoyed some good fun in Charlotte and slept like babies. I must add on it was quiet day and night there as well. They also have a ghost story spooky or cool ? I found that quite interesting.... The Elvis Presley also rented out the entire 8th floor multiple times when he visited the city and those rooms are also available to the public, I know how cool is that!

Awful. Never ever go here.I stayed with a party of six, and we needed three rooms after trying to stay at even worse Motel 6 in Kannapolis. This place was hardly any better. Missing locks on doors, a hallway that reeks of pot, and air conditioning that is subpar at best. One of our three rooms didnt even HAVE air conditioning, and none of the lights in the room worked. Overall disgusting, broken, and very unsafe. Staff is also very unhelpful. Avoid at all costs.

If I could give negative stars I would. We stayed here under the photos looked nice and clean. This hotel was anything but. My party and I felt extremely unsafe. The entire hotel smelled of cigarettes, people were actively smoking pot and cigarettes in the hotel. There were cigarette burns in the blankets, the sink had cigarette burn marks, the bathtub was broken in spots with mold growing, lights did not work properly. Random people not staying at the hotel constantly waiting to get into the hotel without a key. Photos are EXTREMELY misleading. Do not stay here.

Perfect experience and coldest air conditioner in the city of Charlotte. Room service was exemplary of such a grand hotel. Desk clerks were there to serve with politeness to the guest.

Please dont get deceived by the photos. It is nothing like that. Elevators dont work, you are asked to take the service elevator. Rooms are moldy, there were roaches. Hallways smelled so much of weed and cigarette. Dont stay here. I wish I had taken photos to share, but I was waiting to get out from there ASAP.

Extremely unprofessional place, this place is literally filled with cockroaches and bed bugs. You’re better off sleeping on the street. Walked into my room and there was a bomb for cockroaches in my room! The elevator had duck tape covering the button. There was a homeless man outside my window. Once you step into the building it reeks of cigarette and butt. DO NOT stay here. Unless you want to get mugged or killed.

I see the negative reviews others have posted. I haven’t dealt with any of the issues mentioned. The only complaints I have are that the walls are very thin. I haven’t had issues with pests, drama/crime, elevators or wifi. Maybe there is a difference between the weekly and nightly rooms

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would, do not ever go there. There was a terrible smell everywhere almost like nail polish remover, there’s about 10 floors and not one elavator worked, room was so bad I left within 30 minutes. It’s like there’s creepy stuff going on as well, people were there that did not stay at the hotel. Also the hotel is right in front of a highway, Don’t be cheap, spend another $100 for better quality.Employees weren’t helpful at all.

Pros : cheap, has weekly rates, nice lobby, good restaurant, my bed was clean, good workersCons : not enough staff, rooms are ancient, I was scared to return to my car being stolen, the outside seems sketchy ghetto, the counter says not responsible for damage talking about your things and your well being... Lets me know theyre not accountable for how ghetto it is. I saw 3 separate areas of my room with some kind of mold growing like the vents, corners of the wall. Elevators not working so I had to use the employee elevator which is only open at certain hours. Left for work in the morning and went down 8 flights of stairs.I honestly think the condition of the hotel may be unsafe just based off the mold and lack of regard to safety, they make you sign to them not having liability to what happens to you there. They should hire some security if its that bad, if Walmart can afford that so can they.Online it shows $50-$60 a night, and then I get there its $69 which extended stay America is about the same price and much cleaner, safer, nicer looking. Their weekly rates online ($243) are much lower than what they give in person($298). If you click anything on their website it says page unavailable.Everything seems like its hanging on by a thread when staying at this hotel.

Came from Michigan for a visit. We were placed on the 8th floor. Room was clean, staff was very friendly and made sure we had clean Linen everyday. Stayed for 4days. Really enjoyed our stay. Only thing that sucked was waiting for the slow elevator. Would stay again!

Didnt know about the 3 month policy but housekeeping was great, nice rooms. I dont know if those who stay there and work there help those who work and trying to get a permanent place in Charlotte.

Golden Green Hotel is an amazing hotel. Their nightly rates are great and their weekly rate is even more unbeatable. The rooms are very nice and clean. They come with a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, ice bucket, and very affordable on-site laundry machines. They even have parking deck accessible on every floor. Im visiting here from Delaware, and I wasnt sure what to expect since the existing reviews are nowhere near consistent. I booked the hotel room through Agoda based solely on the fact that it was a very short (and safe) walk to Ovens Auditorium where my granddaughters graduation from Hawthorne Academy was scheduled to take place. Overall, I am happy with the room. While its far from the best place Ive ever stayed, and the main elevator has been out of order the entire time Ive been here, it has still been an enjoyable stay. The two photos that accompany my review are my photos taken with my Moto phone, not stock photos. My room was very clean upon my arrival. While the furniture was a little dated with a scuff here and there, everything was functional. A little Old English Scratch Cover would definitely make a huge difference in the existing furniture. That said, would I stay here again? Absolutely. The staff was very friendly. They offered me the use of their service elevator to go back and forth to my third floor room, which I thought was really nice since Im almost 67 years old, and I dont particularly like flights of stairs. The only real disappointment was the fact that the hotel restaurant was permanently closed. Perhaps it was a victim of Covid. Im not sure. There is a circa 1955 burger establishment almost directly across the highway, but you cannot walk there unless you want to take your life in your hands crossing the very busy highway. I wouldnt try it even if I were Usain Bolt in his prime. But I did drive there, and it only took me about 5 minutes using Google Go directions. (Their Ribeye sandwich was the best Ive ever eaten.) So yeah, I would definitely stay here again. It is ranked as a 3-star hotel, and I give it 4 stars myself because I felt very safe here, and they went out of their way to accommodate me. I will say that if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Like any other hotel or motel on a busy highway, there is traffic noise at night. The sound of the running AC unit helps, but the foam earplugs really shut it out. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Place is supposed to be cigarette free but you can smell the smoke throughout the building. Im an asthmatic, so this is horrible for me. Floors were sticky. It looks like a cheap contractor has been working on the rooms because the rooms are a mess and dirty. Its supposed to be a 3star hotel and it looks like a 1star. Furniture is literally falling apart and mold in the tubs. The lobby is run down. This place is cheap!

The front desk clerk were friendly. But once you walk to your room the hallways has a old smoke scent which was awful and made you feel sick to your stomach. The room looked clean but it could had smelt better. The furniture need to be updated. The bed comforter had stains on it and the sheets made me itch. In the bathroom the ceiling was leaking the whole time we stayed which made the bathroom floor stay wet. We had to keep asking for dry towels to keep the bathroom floor dry. Called maintenance over 5 times to fix the same problem but it never got fixed. They should of just moved me and my family to a new room which would had made our stay a little better! Worst hotel we stayed at. They lost our room with the 2 double queen beds. That I booked and paid for in advance. They gave us a one bed . That I had to put 6 people in. The rooms was dirty. There was carvings in the window. The bed was broke down. Literally broken. Will not recommend to anyone. Especially if your not from Charlotte.

No mames güey! If you are looking a no frills kind of place and you just need cheap accommodations, it’s a great stay. The rooms are clean. I appreciate the soap pumps instead of using plastic bottles. The restaurant food is good. I would only say that the carpets in the hallway need to be torn out or replaced badly. It’s walkable to a bus line that comes every 15 minutes and takes you downtown. Thanks for a nice stay.

The elevator wasnt working and that was a problem because my room was on the 7th floor. The receptionist at the desk had an attitude and the owner had to escort us up to our room in the service elevator. I have 2 bad knees and have trouble bending them so when the receptionist said the elevators are shut down after 12 I was livid. There were no wash clothes in the room and the window was broken. Also the tv was programmed to watch netflix and hulu, well I wasnt putting my credentials on that tv. Luckily the maintenance man was able to program it after 45 minutes. We arrived at 1030 and didnt to bed until 1am. Its a no smoking hotel yet the marijuana smoke was extremely thick. The worst hotel stay ever

The website is nothing like what we seen in person. We came from Memphis, Tn to enjoy an event, but our stay was horrible!😡! We have a lot of things to say about this HOTEL! First thing we didn’t have elevator access we had to use the stairs! Then you couldn’t get in from the outside parking garage you couldn’t use your room key. After all this this was a trap hotel! It wasn’t clean infested need a real makeover👎🏻👎🏻🤮🤬🔥🔥🔥🚒🚒🚒

We were informed we could check in early and pay an additional $10 fee, and to come back at 8:01am and we would be able to check right in. Upon going back in, the other women at the desk was extremely unpleasant, rude, and appeared to have no care in the world for customer service. We informed the women that we have been driving for 15 hours and I had to be in a room by 9 as it was already previously arranged. She had no one at the desk and asked us if we would mind waiting 15 minutes, and pointed her finger. Very rude, and unwelcoming. No way were we staying there and informed her that, and asked her how a refund would work. Idk look at your paperwork for it was her response. Rude. Nasty. Unwelcoming. Lack of customer service. Horrible atmosphere. Would give zero stars if we could.

The price was unbeatable and most of the staff was friendly. There was a point where I couldnt reach the front desk and kept hearing the phone pick up and hang up. The hotel gave easy access to all routes into and out of Charlotte. The road and internal noises seeped through the walls and windows. The furniture is slightly dated but beautiful. The tenants in the building smoke a lot so it comes through the vents and lingers in the hallway, doorways, garage and elevator. The parking garage is perfect for easy access into the building. Some of the stairwells are falling and tripping hazards but it looks like its under repair. There are camera everywhere but this is perfect for feeling safe.

This hotel makes their own rules according to what kind of mood they are in. My husband and I tried to get a room there earlier this evening and they have me on the do not rent list because of the fact that my room was dirty the last time I stayed there and I did complain and they gave me $25 back from the $100 I had paid to stay in a filthy room. Youre not allowed to complain about anything at this hotel. They obviously dont like and wont rent to you again if you complained about anything on your last visit. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We came prepared for camping. We had pads for the mattress and spray for the mold. These two items made our stay tolerable. The rooms are nicely furnished and have very cold A/C. Extra blankets were available upon request. This is a very affordable place to stay and it is near nice restaurants and entertainment. Just come prepared. We came as a result of the hurricane and liked the parking deck for our car.

The rooms are nice and clean it just takes a while for it to cool down due to the air conditioning units are not up to date

First of all I want to say that I have not stayed at this hotel. But I have been there several times to visit my daughter who has booked a room there and stayed. Soon as you walk in the front it reeks of cigarette and marijuana smoke the whole place stinks. I have been up and to the rooms I am not a smoker but there is nicotine on the walls in the rooms. When I have visited my daughter I have even witnessed people in the hallways smoking cigarettes and smoking marijuana. Anybody in their right mind would not have anything good to say about this hotel. But I will tell you this companies will pay people to write a positive review when they know that their business is not up to standards so any reviews that you see on here talking about how nice the place is and there is a 3.5 star rating is a lie this is a one star not even possible to Star motel not a hotel this is trash and they take advantage of their people that stay there they will shut their Wi-Fi on and off they will also shut their air off and their heat off they are just everything. Even the cleaning staff will come in your room and remove things in your room people I advise you do not stay at this motel. It is 100% trash homeless people hang out around there drug dealers hang out around there. The list goes on and on stay away from the green and gold motel Im not getting paid anything to write the truth because I dont have to and shame on you people who got paid to write such wonderful things about this place and not telling the truth..

One of the worst stays. The escalator didnt work. The rooms are old and no regulations around smoking inside the room.A good 1 star hotel if you want a cheap stay. They wont get any repeating customers in my opinion. The only good part was the location.

The staff was nice and the price was good, however, the hotel is old and run down. The showers are rusted, the ceiling is low with mildewed tiles nearly falling out, the night we stayed one of the rooms caught electrical fire, the elevator is not up to code (annual certification not displayed), the hair dryer in room didn’t work, and the whole place smells of cigarettes.

For the inexpensive price the accommodations were pleasant, clean and acceptable. The outer perimeters were not the safest. In the parking deck we were approached by someone who was in allegiance with someone lurking in the shadows, she asked for a jump to her car but me and my friend were alert and not gullible. We are also gun toters and not the ones to mess with. We alerted hotel staff after we left. Other than that, all was well.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. The elevator was not working, the ac wasn’t working, bed bugs and roaches everywhere in our room. We also had a broken lamp so barely any lighting in the room. All you could smell was smoke throughout the entire building. Would not recommend this place at all.

The only reason I gave them a one star is because 0 was no choice. This place was absolutely disgusting the rooms smelt awful the air conditioning was not working my sheets were dirty and the towels had long black hair on them. Although they had to move me twice it was still the same situation with other rooms simply poor house keeping. I will NEVER try to save money ever again when choosing a nice, clean, safe place to lay my head at night when I go out of town. Needless to say I slept with clothes on and showered with my flip flops on. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE....

I like it here.. very quiet , nice front desk lady. Nice inside some rooms. Like the big mirror in the room. Has a cute frig. For sodas etc. And a cute microwave. Free HBO and etc channels. Enjoy the big bed and check out is at 12 which I love!! No knocks from housekeeping till its close till check out which is good . I also hated them knocking at my door to wake me up and check out isnt till 11 at others hotels. This hotel is close to everything and I do recommend to others and friends I sleep well .. No issues Remember its not the hotels its the people in the hotels... I like this place!! Will continue coming..

Management is very poor. Lack of morals and values in a work place. Unable to control the temperature in the room had to call front desk for a fan. It got extremely hot. Trash stunk on our floor called for housekeeping took them hours to come so we got rid of it ourselves. Wouldnt recommend this hotel stay. You could find better.

My stay was alright paid for a king room got a queen/full size bed I can only imagine what the actual queen room look like. Parking garage only goes to the 3rd floor I’m on the 6th floor which makes me have to use the lobby to get to and from my car. The elevators works when it wants too so I had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to my room. A store is literally 2-3mins away I can see it from the side my room is on. The hotel is on the highway which makes it kind of hard to get out. The thermostat needs to be updated asap I couldn’t figure out how to make it cooler in my room so it was a bit muggy. Bathroom needs to be updated. Will not be coming back when visiting Queen City! But it’s an alright price.

The hotel is very clean. You can tell they go out there way to keep up with rooms and even the hallways. There are plenty of appliances in the rooms and everything works fine. I just wished my room got more sunlight. also minor damages in the duvet.

Had to move out of the first room due to stains everywhere, including the sheets and the bathroom. Second room was acceptable but still not comfortable. The temperature control was confusing and ineffective, involving an unmarked switch next to the thermostat. Check in staff ignored the reservation and only checked us in for 1 day, then tried to charge late fees to stay the rest of the days wed reserved, AND demanded we check out then check back in to get a different room. Also, the elevator doors open well before you reach your floor, which is scary. And one of the adjacent rooms had clearly been battered down by police and had a bullet hole in it. Decided that literally anywhere else would be an improvement.

If you need a simple no frills place to stay for a few nights, youll be okay here. If you are looking for luxurious accommodations with high end appliances top of the line facilities with champagne, caviar, and the white glove treatment, the Waldorf Astoria is in New York City. But if youre on a budget and simply need a bed, toilet, shower, microwave and small fridge, here you go. This hotel served it purpose. Its okay. The only thing I didnt like was the loitering of individuals by the front of the hotel and by the parking area. That kind of gives the place a be cautious vibe. Take care of the loitering and instantly it becomes better.

This is a nicely decorated, vegan restaurant located in a hotel. Staff were all very nice. They have an extensive menu with both comfort foods and healthier options. They also have gluten-free options. I had the bacon sandwich. It was very good. Generous with the avocado and the fries that came as a side were very good, too. We had the hot dog bites as an appetizer and it was delicious. My husband ordered the stromboli and loved it!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is VERY dated. Signage all over about it being a smoke-free facility, however, it has clearly been smoked in.. A lot. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean, but, REALLY needs updating. With all of that said, Not bad for the price.

The room looks outdated, the bathroom ceiling is leaking, the elevator is slow when you call for it. The freezer of the fridge works fine but the fridge part dont work as well. Someone got their tires stolen off their car in the parking garage. If you are over 6 ft you wont fit in the shower you will have to bend. And the ice machine broke. If you do stay here reprogram the TV to get the channels you need. I would give this a no stars but you cant go lower than 1 star.

Went to visit someone who lived there. Location is right on Independence Blvd/Hwy 74 right beside Bojangles Coliseum. There were a couple of people loitering outside when I arrived. I cant speak to the rooms or service as I was not a guest. Room doors are on the inside corridor and I saw an ice maker on the floor I visited.

Absolutely disgusting. Mold in the walls, bathroom sink painted black to hide grime, the entire hotel reeked of stale cigarette smoke and weed. Watched an employee smoke a joint in her car before reporting for work the morning we checked out. Price is great- remember you get what you pay for.

Dont waste your money. Worst hotel ever. I had some friends come into town and book this hote even though I told them not to. Went to visit, Carpet was disgusting through out the hotel, look like it has not been clean in years, elevators didnt work, they were on the 5th floor, No Shelves in the Refrigerator,.They booked three rooms. Air condition did not work in 2 of the rooms. One room did not have a bed frame. One room had a whole in the bathroom roof.

Bed bugs. They ate up my mother from head to toe. Manager was notifed and they put her out. The Asian staff was VERY nasty and disrespectful. The owner mr.fred put her out to silence her because she asked for another and because I exposed the wrong thus hotel was doing. Then they tried to set her up saying she broke a t . The maintenance staff told my mother that it was all a set up. DO NOT STAY HERE.

When we got here they had two reservations because I attempted to update my CC info prior to arrival. The hotel was visually clean, but sensory was not. We stayed on the 8th floor and friends stayed on the 3rd, the carpets on these floors needs to be updated and deep cleaned. The room we had, the ac didn’t work until 10am the morning we were checking out, the window was taped shut with cheap foam stuck in the track for Insulation and the main door didn’t lock. If I had been staying for more than one night I would have cut my losses and found a different hotel. They also do not serve breakfast, they just have coffee. Spend the extra money and get a better room.

I heard a lot of bad things about this hotel from way back when. This is my first time here since a lot of big changes were made. The room is immaculate, everything is clean, and the service is spectacular. The rates are unbeatable and the experience was absolutely fantastic. I almost didn’t see a single person walking through the halls and literally didn’t hear a single sound in my room. No one was being loud and obnoxious which is weird for a hotel. I would expect that at any hotel I goto because that a normal experience. It was the best overall hotel experience I’ve ever had I would highly recommend anyone staying here. Don’t let the past reputation fool you, it’s an amazing place to stay. And the rates are so so cheap. Two nights was 120! That’s crazy! I love this place. Give it a try.

This place will nickel & dime you to death. Accuse you of dirtying up towels & charge you $30.00 because of a stain that can easily be bleached. They look for any reason to kick you out after they take your money. Rude staff. They will not supply weeklys with towels/toilet paper unless you pay for them.. They charged $0.50 for a packet of coffee. They come to the room & smell for cigarette smoke (non smoking hotel) even though they have no reason to suspect smoking. Drug dealers are hanging out in the parking deck. If you are a weekly, your deposit will be kept for any reason they can find. Beware.

Good place to stay for one night. I wouldnt recommend a long stay. The room was out of date. The repairs that were made was not done by professionals. There was mold around the base of the windows, the windows were not properly sealed causing condensation on the inside. The shower was subpar.

Don not stay here! There is definitely more green than gold to this hotel. Dirty, dingy and old. You can get much better accommodations in a lot of other places around here. 2nd worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dont make the same mistake. Oh yeah, they still had the heat on and no way to switch it to the A/C. Refrigerator made annoying noises all night. Cracks in the walls, light bulbs blown. We didnt even try using the shower. I guess you get what you pay for since the price was pretty low but still not worth it.

My Sons needed a room, I looked and felt this was a good place for them to stay. The women on the phone was very sweet and help with the needs I had with the times of arrival and then his departure time. He got in very late ( early in the am) the need to rest before driving back north the same day.. Well, he was given a room, with a hole in the window! The Refrigerator was broken, the room smelled like pot!! The bed were not clean.. he could see the imprint of the person before him head in the pillow!! Luckily he did bring blankets with him ( which he used, & his own pillow.. I told him for the price I paid 90.00 he should have asked for another room! He said it was late, he was very tired, he had to walk down steps ( 6 floors).. there wasnt an elevator for guests?? So he made do with it!! Im Furious !! I was told it was a non smoking hotel- motel!! I guess I needed to ask about pot! He said cigarette butts were all over the steps!They need to clean up their act! I hope that I get a response from this!Before you ever go there!! Check the room, if you are handicap!! Idk!I dont think hell stay there again, he needs to go back for more firefighter testing.. for the Charlotte area!! Nice way to treat your guest or future first responders!

When I tell you this has to be the worst hotel ever, I mean it. First after parking the room key didnt work to the outside door. Then after walkimg all the way around and finally getting in a door that works, the hallway smells like pee. We get in to the room and there are stains all on the floor. The door latch was falling off and the bathroom door did not lock because it was kicked in. We switched rooms the second night because we paid for the weekend and needed the extra bed. The new room had gum that was stuck to the lamp like are you kidding me. and the light in the bathroom as we were watching TV fell in the shower and broke. Im not kidding when I tell you that I would not want my dog staying at this place. I definitely got what I paid for. Cheap as f***

Stayed 4 nights while a relative was in Mercy hospital. Chosen on the basis of price and location (also near Presbyterian). Staff was very good. Room was clean. Mattresses need to be replaced/upgraded - they were just barely acceptable. Various other signs of deferred maintenance - sticking doors, noisy heating. Would stay again but would check out room and mattress first.

Outdated does not describe this hotel more like on the verge of ran down would be better. First I was told when I booked I can have a early check in with a confirmation that it would not be a problem. I get there and Im told I cant check in until 3. Why not contact me ahead of time so I could made arrangements at the another hotel. I had to be in lake norman by 3 which is why the early check in was needed. They only had a double available and charged me $10 extra didnt even offer the same price due to the inconvenience. SMH. On top of that the elevator didnt work and my room was on the 6th floor. Complete bs. And the room..omg look at the pics. Pub hair on the folded towel. So you know what that means 🤮 the only decent thing was the TV they need to revamp that hotel by the pics you see it needs a major major upgrade. The area wasnt bad. I seen a couple shady lookin characters but nothing to say the area was bad. I want my money back for real. Worse hotel I stayed in Charlotte never again

Called front desk 2 times around 11:30pm, let them know the room above us was leaking water. No one came to check the leak. Then woke up and my stuff was soaking wet and floor was all wet.

Staying in this hotel was one of the worst and grossest experiences of my entire life. The hotel staff is extremely rude, urine and vomit odor in the elevators and stairwells, awful stench from my air vents, saw roaches in the hallways, their so called Wi-Fi is non-existent. And worst of all: their rooms are infested with nasty bed bugs! My lower body was covered in bug bites from my stay in this hotel. But when I requested a new room, the manager refused. I advise you, do not waste your money at this dump.

Staff very friendly and helpful, excellent. Bed was clean. Convenient location. Clientele was questionable. Elevator and hallways smelled of weed. EXTREMELY NOISY! The busy road outside was loud literally all night long. Thin walls? We could hear everything going on in our neighbors rooms. Stay here only if you must, and BRING EAR PLUGS!

Great location!! Stayed here for Tool concert at Bojangels Coliseum and we were able to walk to the venue and back with no incidents! Probably only two blocks away and there was a sidewalk so it was completely safe. Also, a gas station to pick up essentials walking distance the opposite way of the Coliseum. Staff was very friendly and expedited the check in process as much as they could. It was super busy because of the concert but the staff was moving full speed getting everybody checked into their rooms as fast as possible. Price was awesome for how close it was to what we needed. Indoor room entrance made us feel very safe as it was just my sister and I, two females. Overall it met filled all of our needs and we couldnt have been happier with our stay!!!

This place is a dump. Class A, dump. The microwave is rusted on the inside, and the toilet was barley screwed down. This place made skin crawl. The parking deck is the worst parking. Its dark and anybody cam get robbed. Do not stay here, if so bring some wet wipes to clean surfaces. You wont only just be cleaning dirt, but other things as well, use your imagination.

This has to be the worst hotel Ive ever seen and been in ever I think the city inspector should go have look at this place it is awful.the smell alone made me nauseous when I walked down the halls.water leaking all over the bathroom rug.when you would to turn on the shower both hot and cold faucets would pour all over. Mold growing on wall.they only give you fresh towels on Friday. Not once from Wednesday to Sunday did they empty garbage or vacuum room. I would never stay there again.

I would not even give it 1 star. The rooms had roaches and were not clean. It was addressed with the staff and we were relocated to another room with roaches. The management, an old man with white hair who saw the evidence with his own eyes, called my husband a liar the next morning and we were refused a refund. There was no professionalism and no customer service. The place was absolutely disgusting and not worth the $70. Fee. Nothing but scummy crooks there.

Here for about 30 minutes. Room was not clean and the entire hotel smells of cigarettes. We tried to cancel but due to their policy it was a 100% charge of the first nights stay which is a scam in and of itself. We decided since were paying for the room to just keep the reservation and stay elsewhere. Never been this displeased with any lodging accommodations.

This hotel gets no stars. Ive had personal experience and people I know have had theirs, also. There is a reason its so cheap. Bugs, drug dealers and addicts constantly harassing people in the parking deck. I was sexually assaulted in the parking deck. Fred, the man who owns the place is also extremely shady. Hes nosey and follows tenants around but does nothing about the problems mentioned. Hell also kick you out because you got make-up on one of their towels or sheets with no warning, even if you have days paid for. I wouldnt give my money to this place again if sleeping under a bridge was my only other option.

I rented a ball room at this hotel and it was the worse thing I could have EVER done. The workers were so unprofessional and the facility is very old and out of date. The DJ could do his job because of electrical issues and no one wanted to at least hear our concerns. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They dont even want to give people their deposit back. Theyre scams and the police officers stated they always have issues and get complaints about them!!!

Not a good experience. First we had no heat. A not so friendly maintenance man came to turn it on, smell was awful. The bathroom ceiling was falling down. Was a no smoking room but had cigarette burns on the comfort. The staff at the front was nice. Needs lots of repairs.

Everything Ray Black III says in his review is TRUE, but do you want them charging double? ..over $100/night? No! Love the low price! Any room unsatisfactory, is quickly remedied to another room from many. Minor defects, vintage air and elevator, is little concern. Everyone is a repeat customer here!

Just tear it down and start over. New Jack City all over again. And managers got mess going on all the time. Police stay coming. Very judge mental if hired and glad it’s better than that with better attitude elsewhere.

Place is a dump. Its dirty, reeked of pot, parking lot has trash everywhere, AC doesnt work, building looks like its about to fall down. Front desk guy is very nice though (12/31/22 4:30 pm). Website is VERY misleading!

Nice staff but the room didn’t have AC so it was really hot. The sheets had stains in them they were washed but the stains were there. The elevator doesn’t work so if you’re in the 6th floor you’ll have to walk all the stairs.

The only complaint that I have is the tile in the bathroom was messy. It looked as if it had recently been puttied and the faucets looks as if they were going to fall in. the staff was friendly and helpful. They will check your temperature at check-in so be prepared.

There was a man waiting in my room when I opened my room. It was honestly really scary but my husband made sure I was safe. It was a nice room/ little sussy but the walls were a little dated. 6/10.

The front desk receptionist was slow, extremely rude, and had a rude way of speaking to me. I simply said I would come back after getting food and she decided to have an attitude from just that the rest of the time and refused to give her name. The manager also come out and did absolutely nothing to her on the situation. I will not be staying here again.

Normally no complaints. But id like to know why housekeeping is knocking on my door at 10:42am. Checkout is at 12 and I had to explain to her what the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door means. Unaaceptable. Especially since they woke me up when the had their lil meeting in the next room over. Loud talking and laughing like theres no hotel patrons still asleep. Also the heat doesnt work. Even on high it blows cold.

Showers are from the 1950s or they are made for children and air conditioning could have been a good bit cooler. Othan that no problems at all. Quite, beds are comfortable, pillows nice, rooms have new carpet and great to.

Couldn’t stay it’s so dirty and this is after the first accommodation and Mr Fred is mean and hateful he is the owner and is fully aware that there are bedbugs and mold and everything else ! the pictures fooled me so bad . That’s a bed bug on the couch I saw on my out ! Literally. 🤢

I paid online 87 dollars for a 2 beds room and I get a room occupied in the 8 floor, I have to return to the lobby and they give me another key, was a dirty room, so I have to return to the lobby and they give me another key, the three one was one bed only and queen, the elevator doesnt work properly. The place and the staff are nice but the management is the worst, they are losing clients. I dont recommend it

This place is clean but old and outdated. Towels dont match, water damage showing in bathrooms. Beds are uncomfortable. Windows arent sealed...theres air blowing through. Elevators are scary to ride in. Parking structure is outdated..large trucks are not recommended. Overall its good if you want a cheap place for the night..not recommended if you want comfort.

My room was great, cool comfortable right next door to the venue Bojangles Center. Dorothy was the best from the time I booked in January until we came to the event in July 2019. The whole staff was professional and helpful. The tv is better than any hotel I have stayed in even in Alexandria at The Westin. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to come again. Thanks

Horrible, room clean, but outside is very durty. A person vomited in the hallway, they put a towel on it. Which on it. At this hotel there are 3 stars, I really don:t understand. Horrible experience for 3 stars

Worst place ever. They have one working elevator that is the service elevator in the back of the hotel....so thats cool until you come back at 215a and they say its closed and you have to walk up 8 flights of stairs. Lots of other things too. Dont do this to yourself.

This hotel is very very nice they are very ecologically conscious and they even have a vegetarian dumplings from Trader Joes that taste awesome available for purchase at the front desk. Very nice furnishings, a huge bed and very nice shower bathroom. I would definitely revisit.

HORRIBLE! My friend chose this hotel to stay with his children for a few weeks while in between moving. The A/C doesnt work in the room. When we asked to switch they informed us that there were no working A/C units! The entire hotel wreaks. There are bugs everywhere. The staff is incredibly rude. He has five children. He was given enough towels at the beginning of his stay for himself only. The kids are having to share towels. I requested more towels and I was told there will be a 5.00 charge PER TOWEL. The sheets/comforters are covered in stains. They obviously invest no money in cleaning services. You would think with all of the nickel and diming they do, they would have some to spare for a maid. The WI-FI is, scratch that, there ISNT any WI-FI. The staff will not assist you in quieting down any other tenants, who have no shame whatsoever. It is obviously a hotel that the local prostitutes call home. I am not exaggerating or over reacting. I am being blunt to assist you in your decision. This hotel needs to be shut down. Please stay away, do not waste your money. You will leave covered in bug bites, will not get any sleep and leave irritated from interacting with the staff. There are better hotels for less money right up the road.

Food was ok. Very very greasy and the peanut sauce we had with our spring rolls was basically sweet peanut butter and not spicy or vinegar tasting at all.Roll for my cheesesteak was basically a drippy greasy mess when I was done.

Its rough. Let me start by stating that the employees are AWESOME. Super nice and accommodating. Buttttt this hotel just isnt it. I cant even say the the price and location which were also very good can even make up for it.

Located beside Ovens Auditorium and the Bojangles Coliseum is a refurbished hotel with snap and savvy! Plus there is a restaurant in-house that is vegan! Yes the cat is out of the bag! I loved the morning staff. This seasoned diva wearing a black fedora is, was, and will be the awesome answer to all of your concerns!

Very run down hotel, bathroom ceiling falling apart. We stayed there all of 20 mins and was asked why we wanted to check out and get a refund!!!! The smell is not that pleasant either. I couldnt imagine even laying my head on the pillow. Very outdated. Not a good experience at all!

Worst hotel I ever stayed in . The room was dirty , bathroom door would not close , door looked as if it had been kicked in . Door keys did not work . Room was so hot had to request box fan ( from desk ) just to sleep at night. Only giving a 1 as no option for zero. Convenient for Oven Auditorium but could not pay me to return .

I was pleased to find that the hotel and rooms were very clean, that I appreciated especially after recent negative experiences with the last two hotels I stayed at and mind you I read those reviews as well...lies I tell you.The staff was very nice and friendly and in a great location of the Bojangles convention center.. Oh and I felt pretty safe cameras everywhere on each floor in the elevators parking lots .

I am still shock that this place is open. We book a room the pictures on the website and when you see the place in person totally different this place is nasty. The bed had stains and hair in it I was scared to put my bags down on the carpet everything was dirty. I stand in the room and booked at another hotel and left. This hotel need to be inspected by the health and safety department of Charlotte ASAP. This place don’t even deserve a star in my opinion —⭐️

Worst hotel experience ever. My family was legit scared of the vibe the hotel gave and in less than 10 minutes we were out of there. Room light was not working. Elevator was not working. The smell in all areas was terrible. Even the parking lot was awful.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars I would. I paid for 2 weeks and the manager told me to leave because I smoked in the room. I don’t even smoke … he lied ! The hotel its self is nasty and old . Convenient location with lot of options to eat around within walking distance. Staff members were very good and made our day. thank you.Breakfast was good too. with waffles and pancakes as options. Kids loved it

First, I am not being bombastic in this review only open and honest, you can read the other reviews and find out why they are 2 1/2 star out of five star review for other reasons. I will not use names only workers or owner/ Manager. I hope this review gives the opportunity for them to grow personally and professionally and provide a great place for travelers needing nightly, weekly or monthly housing while in Charlotte.Pros: friendly at first, accommodating and fair priceCons: not easy to work with when out of town and needing to extend stay, workers and owners/ management not on same page and become defensive quickly.I stayed at The Golden Green Hotel ( One of several of their names ) and paid a week in advanced and also added a $50 deposit for a week-no problem but since I work out of town quite a bit I thought like most other places they would take payment at check out.I am guessing they are and independently owned hotel, so not in the same situation has their deeper pocketed competition, I understand that part also.My issue is when I receive a call from a worker and said she is sending me a credit card authorization and for me to fill it out and send my drivers license along with credit card and they would have no problem extending another week. Guess what I did??? I filled it out send it in and all was good. Until! The owner/manager calls me and says no, no, no that I need to come into the office and pay by credit card ( the same one they already have on file). Did I mention that I am currently in another state working? Not many choices to stop what I’m doing and run back to another state and pay on my bill that I personally thought was already settled. The one thing I am thankful for is the owner/manager did say that she would store my items instead of throwing them out. I guess every cloud does have a Silverlining LOL.I am not writing this to harm the business in anyway, I am writing this only as a warning to other travelers to make arrangements for stays longer than a week.

The room s is dirty and the curtains dont close all the way bathrooms got a hold in the ceiling and they charge for a roll of tissue and the sheets are not white they are gaethje and the lobby stinks and have dirty chairs and the rooms have just one broken chair and the elevator smells like marijuana the blanket on the bed is dirty and it had a Stang on it like some women monthly on it and the room smells and the pillows were going flat that place to stay

They are rude I just got into a car accident they refused to give me another room the man became to stalk us an I have children the man mr. Fred is horrible he doesn’t work with people an the brown skin lady at the desk said she refuse to give us a room when I kindly just aske can I be move so I can have a peace of mind me an my kids they have bed bugs they wake u up all threw the night . Mrs .c is a nice lady in total it’s just some of they staff is rude an they don’t care about no one but there self I wouldn’t recommend .. EVEN THERE EVELATORS ARE BROKE

From the start the customer service was horrible and the heat did not work! I called the front desk and again customer was horrible!!! Maintenance came up and did something to the heat it worked for maybe 10 minutes then back to not working again! I drove 2 and a half hours to Charlotte for a little getaway and to have to drive back home at 8:35 pm because the staff does not care about the guest is very baffling! I expressed my frustration and that I live in Orangeburg,SC and there was no care in the world! I would never ever book here again!

Very low brow, the only positive about this place is it’s price. Bed comfortable but furnishings are tired and I couldn’t escape the feeling of dirtiness. Couple next door had a huge screaming match all night too. Not a place I’d recommend unless on a tight budget.

An older hotel but very clean.the furniture is very outdated and the design. It is not a 5 star. The rooms reek of cigarette smoke. There have soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion dispensers.

Good price , but horrible place . Weird ppl hanging out in stairwells looking for drugs . The rooms being connected so weird , was already nervous about my room being in the middle of two rooms .. couldn’t get to sleep by time I did .. someone was trying to come thru one of the doors . So I took a friend here because she was in need of a place to stay for the night when entering she was told it was 85 for a room..... When on the hotel app its listed for 51 Dollars..... To me this makes this place a slumb lord type of hotel

I have to admit that I not been bitten by the bed bugs, but the staff is kind of rude, but so can I if need be. lt is affordable and the other one next door was worst off, besides if I check in over in the morning, my check out is later. They do need to clean up a little more, and I always complain if I need to, the only problem I have is the air was broken and they handed out FANS! lol.......but the rates were decreased for the HOT conditions.

The worst ever stayed three months after paying a $1000 a month. The maids steal, they kick you out if they THINK YOU SMOKING CIGS OR WEED. WE GOT STUCK IN THE ELEVATOR OVER 12 times. Then when the elevator didnt work we had to walk up six flights of stairs. You have to bring your own tissue and rags.

Ive never stayed at this hotel, but for years the business I work for has referred out of town patients to this hotel as it is very close and very cheap. As a courtesy today our director of patient services reserved a room for a homeless patient for the time of her care with us and the hotel management was not at all accommodating. They originally stated they could accept a credit card authorization for our company along with a paper copy of the card holders ID to pay for the patients stay then, upon the patient arriving, refused to allow her to stay because she only had a paper copy of her own ID and told her, a homeless woman from out of town who is on medications, that she should just go to the DMV now and get a copy.Fortunately we care about this woman enough to help her look for other accommodations as she is currently homeless and her companion drove her from out of town to be seen. But we wont be referring anyone to this hotel again and personally Im appalled that the management of the Golden Green Hotel would not have any tact when dealing with someone who is undergoing medical treatment, and already going through a tough time, in an unfamiliar city, to turn this woman away for no reason. Her room and any incurring damages were covered. And as politely as possible we let them know that we wouldnt be referring more patients to them, to which they replied with impunity which shows they are not just rude, but also obviously not very business savvy.

Zero Stars. None smoking means cigarettes; Marijuana is a non issue. Facilities reek of it! A customer came down several times during my checkin complaint rooms (customer had been relocated several times.) smelled of smoke. Staff responded like customer was difficult. My guess not specific as to cigarette vs marijuana smoke.More concerned with the pleasures of lucrative regular customers then the safety of others. Anyone considering staying here because its close to an event at Bojangles Coliseum DONT for your safety stay elsewhere and pay to park.

Mold in our hotel room. Had to go through the employee work area to use the slow moving and slightly malfunctioning service elevator. Hotel reeked of cornchip feet and cigarette smoke smell. Staff seemed disinterested in everything.

Hopper messed up my reservation... took deposit $73.90 from my account and did not send confirmation.......did not get a chance to stay........still trying to get my monies out back on my cardNot sure if open for business but there is a vegan restaurant there

This place is horrible, I highly do not recommend, the place looks nothing like in the pictures, first they gave me an my Wife a Dirty room full of trash an awful when we change it for another one it was worse, We felt very unsafe an we both had very bad feelings about the whole place, We didn’t stay not even 2hrs an we try to get a refund but they denied, we opt to sleep on our Car it felt safer honestly, Don’t go to this place don’t waste your Money.

The place is very run down and old; the management gave me a hard time about my service dog, which I need because I am a disabled veteran. I tried to explain the laws about service dogs to them, even showed the ADA website to them but still had problems. The only reason I stayed there is the late hour and the other hotels being sold out for the ACC championship game that I was in town to see. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone was very nice and I was very happy with my experience 😊 it was quiet and pleasant the best part is there is no one asking if I want anything to smoke or drink I say absolutely no females inside or outside offering their services.The security is the all time best I felt very safe and secure even outside when I needed to go smoke a cigarette the prices for it all honey extremely reasonable better than reasonable tbh so thank u Golden Green thank you

Poor... Bed Bug infestations.... we actually had to take one down to the clerk. The AC does not work . And the toilet was stopped up. I will say they refunded our money with out issues, however never sorry .... nothing ... but even at that point it would not have mattered... centrally location

They always accuse people of smoking in rooms if u get weekly they think they only suppose to change towels not clean room staff terrible cars getting stolen but all them cameras and see nothing smh

This place certainly isnt a fancy five star hotel... But some people like me are just looking for a cheap place to sleep and this did the job... Best thing is that its within walking distance of Bojangles Coliseum if you are seeing a concert. Id stay again 👍🏾

Elevators broke down I have to use service elevator, 10 times better than the hotele I originally booked. Come To Charlotte to see GARTH BROOKS Just needed some where to sleep and shower.

Weird place but perfect if you are going to the Bojangles Center. Also it should be noted that the GM (owner?) of this property is in a cult. The TV in the lobby was playing a stream of supreme master.tv, they have a Loving Hut near by and he was wearing a hat adorned with all that stuff too.

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR MAIL/PACKAGES TO BE MISPLACED, THROWN AWAY, OR DONATED !!! I had packages delivered there on the 27th for my kids for Christmas and the manager (FRED LAWRENCE) said he threw away my packages. I had to get the police involved and now have to press charges !!! He was extremely rude about the whole ordeal and even asked why we were still in the lobby after he told us that he threw away our packages. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!

The air conditioning was malfunctioning, they didnt even give a discount for the entire night I spent there sweating profusely. It took them almost an hour to book me a room even though I booked and reserved earlier online. Tap water has kind of a sewage smell to it, and the bathroom lights were flickering and dull. Never stay at a golden green hotel. This has been horrible.... bed hard as a rock, we had to put a chair in front of our door to keep it closed the way, a/c barely works, one working elevator that sounds like its gunna fall apart, ghettoooooooooooo as ever! This Is By Far The Worse Place To Stay. The Room Smelled Like It Was Stale. Its Was Grieffti Written on the night stand. The Heat didnt work water didnt stay hot. Carpet was old and rooms was dated. Delicious vegan food at reasonable prices! Friendly and attentive staff and my food came out at a quick pace as well. They even sell some groceries that can be fairly hard to find.

Poor quilty ,dirty ,and very bossy boyfriend of the owner.Has different hotel rules for certain guest to follow than others. singles out certain guest.The restraunt in the hotel is $$$for some veggie and rice with a health score of 86% and the dont serve meat.

Horrible experience, elevators worked when they wanted to. The rooms we ok, and its close to stores and restaurants. But beware the system was breached I had to be issued a new Visa.

Its OK but the service of house keeping needs a lot improvement with changing out towels daily. And stop charging guests $1.00 for toilet paper 🧻 once a guests runs out.

Its a great place for the price and the service is wonderful! and finally a vegan restaurant that I can actually eat!! GO GREEN WITH LOVE! Ive enjoyed my stay here

If only 0 stars was an option. The place is a dump and the hotel staff is extremely rude. After reading other peoples reviews on this place, the high star reviews are only high stars because of thing is near the hotel and not the hotel itself. The hotel sucks.

This is a great, reliable Hampton, in a great location. Nicer than your usual Hampton Inn. You are paying for the location though. Lots of restaurant and shopping in close proximity too. Several restaurants you can walk too and the South Park Mall is about a mile away

Worst Hotel EVER. Rude staff, horrible conditions. Stained floors and walls, ceiling in bathroom rotting and falling down. Bad Bad Bad. Stay away. Sleeping on the street is safer and cleaner than this dump.

This place is just another example of what a hotel SHOULD NOT be. drafty, outdated and a hot mess and a half. one of the cheapest hotels around and it shows. staff is cold and very short with guest. special request go unanswered and barely noticed. Aint nothing Golden about this Green!

Worst hotel ever..They are scamming on anything tonight give you a deposit back you cannot light candles or incense which is part of my religion. After they told me no more candles or incense it stopped.It was time to get my deposit back they accused me of smoking several times in two days. keep in mind I’m not a smoker at all..

I came from out of town for a baby shower. My sister stay close to this hotel, My sister suggested it they treated me like garbage, the customer service was 0000000! Horrible, horrible, horrible.

You get what you pay for. This is a low cost and fairly clean hotel. Location is everything if you’re going to Ovens Auditorium or the Boplex. I would stay again knowing exactly what I am getting.

Every thing old. Not too clean. Bathroom vent is so dusty n yucky. The people are friendly and thats a plus. The place just needs to be fixed up.

Took a chance on a low price, checked out by 2AM because of a headache from all the weed in the air. Old building but was clean. Definitely $70/night clientele.

Odd smells throughout the hotel. Sketchy people all around it. Water tasted horrible. Walls are paper thin. No literature on what was in the area for things to do. Needs updating.

The smell of the room and the condition of the bathroom is enough to not recommend it to anyone. Very outdated, one good thing was that it was close to downtown.

I thought this place would be cool because the owners vegan. But theyre like a weird religious culty vegan, and there are cigarette burns on the bathroom counter. Lady at the counter was real nice.

So there are literally CRT TVs not even flat screen , full on tube tv with bulbous screen. Pillows are thin , no ac window unit , its central heat , they do provide a mini fridge, microwave

The surrounding of the hotel is in a good Location 3 to 5mins From downtown. The house keeping where the best great time free parking huge rooms you get a lot for your buck and safe Location!!!!!!!!!

Will never stay here again...elevators were broke...all I could smell in the halls were weed...ac nor heat worked...this place needs to be seriously updated or closed down I was NOT impressed...I was also scared to death to be there...my kids couldnt even sleep because of the eerie feeling it gave them...the parking deck was also very creepy

This place was awesome, my room faced South and they have huge Windows that let natural light in. And best of all my college is right down the road which was very convenient. Staff was friendly and people keep to themselves.

People are very respectful and polite..roomwas very clean and the bed was comfortable made me feel like home ..

Convenient location near downtown and close to Interstate. Older property but very reasonable price, quiet, clean with pleasant staff. Good wi-fi. All and all, I would stay there again.

They charge u for damn tissue...so your first roll is free then they charge 50 cents a roll literally then heaven forbid u need a new rag and towel they charge you for that. I would stay in a motel 6 on sugar creek before staying here

Customer Service here was unbeatable. They were slammed and worked double time to clean a room and check me in early when desperately needed for an event. I couldn’t be more grateful! Thank you so much y’all!

Great location as is close to downtown area. Rooms are very clean and appliances work but furniture is a little dated. Overall, a very solid bargain!

Older but clean quiet and very affordable. My only slight quibble would be that the heat was set to 85 degrees! Would absolutely stay there again.

No pool, no breakfast, very low parking garage clearance (63), plumbing in terrible shape, smells, beds are terrible, very noisy. Better hope whatever the Boj collaseum is worth it, because this place is terrible.

For 10 bucks more you get better rooms than others. I liked the small rooms and the parking wasnt bad either. Plenty of parking spaces everywhere.

Terrible place. Horrible area and awful service. The elevators are broken it is full of scetchy activity. The hallway smelled so bad I gagged.

Booked last minute with a friend when we evacuated for hurricane matthew, stayed 5 nightsDefinitely better than expected for the price, very good location to go explore charlotte, the staff was all very nice and very helpful, i left a personal item after i left and the staff was able to find it and send it back to me, will definitely consider returning if i ever end up in charlotte again

A/C vent needs a filter and be directed away from the bed almost gave me a death bed cold ❄️🥶! I could hardly breathe!

Weird place. Not very clean. Old and dated place. No TV in the room we stayed in. A bit overpriced for what you get. I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Nice place to stay..but a little out dated.. The pillows were too flat and the mattress were not comfortable... Need to be upgraded as well... Overall a nice and clean place. ..

Nasty outside, drug attics hanging around, rooms not clean enough, and found bed bugs. Wouldnt recommend anyone.

My stay here at the golden green has been a wonderful stay and current stay.Mrs.Dorothy the receptionist hell all of the receptionist has been very helpful and curtiost at all times.house keeping has been on their jobs the whole staff has been wonderful and acomendanting through out me & my girlfriend stay at the golden green.and I wud recommend to all my friends.wished their were more TV channels do lol.

Best room for the price in Charlotte. The staff are the nicest people youll ever meet. Plus its just a short trott to Ovens.

We have been here 2 weeks and come to find out we only get clean towels on Friday and they only put 1 set per room. I swear to God

The rooms are large and spacious and the location is great. I loved that they were making steps to be eco friendly as well.

Worst customer service ever. Whoever was working front desk March 28/29th 2022 needs to really work on it. Didn’t try to help or anything. Never been so dissatisfied.

The a/c was marginal, the bathroom door would not close, inadequate plug-ins for our needs, looking a bit dated and run down, price was not in line with the overall quality of the facility.

The bed was very comfortable although the bathroom sink was old and stained. I liked the blanket on the bed.

This hotel is very miss leading the rooms were very outdated nothing like the pictures they have on their wed sites even though the staff was very nice would not recommend this place unless your looking for a get away with a secret lover...

Moved out when they had bold roaches trying to crawl on the bed with me, I learned that theyve been having this roach problem for a while on the second floor and didnt tell anybody , I found out when the man next door to my room told me that they been having Roach problems from room 210 all the way to 216 , roaches spread so I moved out but I made sure I shook out every single clothing.
