I felt relaxed and reset afterwards. I’ve held off on leaving a review for this location since I like to give places second/third chances but after today I’ve been cancelled 4-5 times within 30 minutes of my appt. One time I was in the waiting area and it was 15 minutes past my appt time when I went to the desk, another I was pulling into the parking lot after driving 20 minutes to make sure I was there on time and then at least twice day of. I totally understand if for one appt someone gets sick or car troubles but it’s nearly every time I attempt to come some “emergency” pops up. Will not be returning to this location.

I have been a member of Massage Envy for many years and go to various locations around the Charlotte area. I always book either a 1.5 hour or 2 hour session due to having arthritis and other back issues.I booked 2, 60 minute massages at this location. Someone from the location called to confirm my back to back bookings to which I confirmed, yes I want them back to back for 2 hours.I received a voicemail the morning of my massage stating there was a problem with my sessions. As I check in, first off the staff up front were very cold and exhibited short tones and they tell me the therapist cant do back to back sessions. I didnt understand since the schedule permitted me to. They told me the therapist is available for either sessions but not both which made no sense. As I am still confused about this, another staff firmly said, he isnt licensed to do a 2 hour session. However, he can do 1.5. I agreed to that because that was as close to 2 hours as I could get. The girl at the front on the computer just stood there as the other 3 girls didnt make eye contact. I was waiting on some sort of confirmation that I was all checked in and everything had been fixed. There was nothing but silence and me standing there awkwardly. The girl at the computer finally realized I was waiting and said (in a very annoyed tone) you can go to the waiting room nowThe overall tone, attitude and miscommunication was extremely off putting. I have never experienced this sort of cold nature at any other location.As Im waiting in the waiting room, I peek out to confirm when my facial was to begin to make sure that time hadnt also been adjusted. Again, rude and cold reply, it doesnt start until 12:30 and turned around.Again, I am truly upset st this experience. I felt completely unwanted and unwelcome. It is unfortunate because the services are great but the front desk staff make me not want to return to this location.

The girls at the front desk at this location are always cold and somewhat arrogant. I have gone there for a year and one time I got a girl that smiled. They are not helpful and act as if you are the problem when you ask why you are being charged $100.00 for a 90 minute $90.00 massage. I pay them $70.00 a month for a massage or facial and always get an up charge fee of $10.00 something I wasn’t aware of when I signed up. If I didn’t have several ME gift cards I wouldn’t go anymore.And mentioning gift cards, my son went in for a $25.00 gift card this Christmas and at this location he was told he had to buy a 125.00 gift card, he mentioned the flyer that said you can get a $100.00 gift card and they told him he HAD to buy at least a $100.00 card and so he did because he wanted me to Easthave a ME card, even though he couldn’t afford it. I believe that may be against the law to do that to someone but I know for sure it was certainly unethical. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone. I’ll go to another location from now on. It was my first facial and first visit to this location. This review is for Dallas. She is such a sweet and REAL woman, not to mention pretty and ambitious! Conversation was easy with her. She absolutely loves what she does!! She performed my facial, and I left feeling hydrated and admiring my face and skin. Thank you, Dallas!

First time going to this location. Shnaeda was my masseuse. She was absolutely, fantastic! She was pleasant, patient and communicated very well during my visit. The massage was a 10. I fell asleep multiple times; the best compliment Im told. I signed up for a membership. Im looking forward to continuing to have positive visits.

Scheduled appt on a Monday night for Tuesday at 4:30 pm. Tuesday morning, I called to see if any earlier appts were available? None available, I was also told that if I changed time, I would be charged a cancelation fee. Why? Because I essentially would be changing therapist and canceling. Ok - weird but no big deal. So heading over to my appt for 430pm, I am 2 mins away at 4:11pm. I received a call stating my therapist had to cancel because they had to leave. I understood things happen but nevertheless, where is my cancelation fee?I quickly realized that Massage Envy does not want my business, and I will oblige them. My time is valuable as well.

This place is horrible. Therapists constantly canceling appointments the day of and sometimes minutes before the appointment. I recommend choosing a different massage envy if you want a professional experience. They do have a good therapist there (Jeffrey C is amazing) but still not worth going there. If I scheduled with any other therapist I was always canceled on or extremely disappointed. Those cancelations ended in me having 7hr that rolled over which I never got to use. I wanted to cancel my membership due to not being able to fit it in the budget anymore last month after being with them well over a year. My last payment they told me it didnt go through because of insufficient funds and they dont take out partial payments, but my bank confirmed they indeed took $64.96 out of my account (membership was $65). When I called the lady insisted it didnt go through and my account was suspended and unless I payed I couldnt cancel membership and redeem the hours accrued. After filing a dispute with my bank my money is finally back in my account. I told massage envy I wanted to forfeit the accrued hours and just cancel and never do business with them again, and the lady continued to tell me my account was suspended anyway since they didnt receive the payment despite my bank confirming they definitely took $64.96 out of my account. I do not recommend this business at all, it is a scam.

I’ve been a member with this location for a long time and have had such patience with them when they’ve rescheduled or cancel my appointments either because an employee called out/short staffed and lately because they didn’t have the kits for a facial. But my appointment today was cancelled because I was 15 minutes late and they refused to waive the fee - this was the same appointment they had to previously reschedule because they failed to notice they did not have any facial kits at the time I showed up to the appointment. Alex the desk rep was extremely rude talking over me and repeating the same information over and over without politely allowing me the opportunity to speak. Worst customer service. When I asked for a manager I was told that there was not one in today. To call tomorrow after 9 and speak with Nicky. I will be canceling my membership. Their membership is too expensive to have to deal with incompetent, intolerant and rude service.

I want to take this moment to brag on Richelle!!! This lady has the hands of GOD!!!!! OMG!!!! Her technique is so relaxing and the staff at this establishment is amazing! Ive always had a great experience. But Richelle!!! She is a rockstar! I always enjoy my therapy sessions with her!! Shes such a nice and pleasant young lady to work with!! Thank you again Richelle!!!!!!!

First time customer of ME! I had Rezetta as my massage therapist and she did such an AMAZING job. I know some people choose not to talk to their therapist, but I am more confortable if I can talk to my therapist and get to know them a bit. Engaging in conversation with Rezetta and she still performed at her best! Took all the knots right out of my shoulders! 11/10 recommend. The front desk ladies were also super kind and super helpful!

I do not like this place. The environment was clean but the staff had very nasty attitudes. One time, i felt so disrespected, i just got up in the middle of my massage and left! In addition, they were constantly canceling my appointments. In most cases, they would cancel the day before the scheduled massage session! In my opinion, this is not professional. If you want a great massage, then go to Zen Massage. The therapists there give much better massages, especially if you prefer deep tissue. Plus, the therapist arent so opinionated during your session. What do you do? Why are you so tight? These were the sorts of questions I heard during my therapy sessions. Im thinking to myself, does it matter? Why not just keep your mouth shut and do your job.

I got a massage for the first time Here. It was a Nice place. The Massage was just okay. I expected a little more but she let me know she had Arthritis and carpal tunnel in her hands which I knew it wasn’t going to be what I wanted. Put she did her best she started late and ended early cutting my time 10 min short.

If you want a pleasant experience, do not go here! The front staff is unfriendly. The woman who did my facial (Sierra) was so dry and didn’t speak to me until she tried to sell me products. As soon as I said I didn’t want them, she simply walked away. Massage Envy do better

I have a very talented therapist for my specific needs, However there are 3 others Ive used who were also very good!The only thing Id like changed is that they add a light therapy bed. It is very difficult to get them on the phone. Ive driven over to make apts

I received a giftcard for my birthday in March, I have Yet to be able to use at this location or ANY location in Charlotte. I was finally able to book a 90 minute appointment on May 19th, on my way to the appt., I was notified that the therapist had an emergency and my appt had to be canceled. I understand emergencies happen, but for the facility not to be able to reschedule with someone else that day, was disappointing. The receptionist called and ask when I could be available, I explained evenings work well and I need a 24hr notice, if something came available. It is now June 2nd and I still cant get a massage. Ive called several other locations in Charlotte and most dont pickup the phone. I would never become a member of Massage Envy, with this poor customer service and their lack of staff to fit me in for a massage, for a time that works for me, now 3mos. If I could rate the company a Zero, I would. Never seen a national chain, with this poor of service.

It just is not a consistent experience. Sometimes deep tissue is deep ... sometimes not. Add ons for aromatherapy etc. feel like nickel and diming. Staff seems to turn over.

I walked in on a Sunday afternoon. They were open, but when I asked for a shoulder massage, they just said they were only doing facials. The ladies behind the desk did not offer me any information about the shop or ask if I wanted a future appointment. I had the same experience at a Massage Envy in Durham. Not impressed with this business. I hope they improve.

This is for the location on Arbor Vista/Mallard Creek. I called 3 days prior to book an appointment and confirmed location, time and therapist and took the day off from work. Upon arriving to the appointment 15 min early as told my appointment isn’t to be found. The ladies at the front did nothing to accommodate and showed no remorse for a mistake that was made on their end. All that was said is we are booked. My appointment was not only scheduled on the wrong day but also some how they created 2 profiles with information typed in incorrectly and took 3 staff members to look it up. Mistakes happen-however the way this mistake was handled was not professional and I would not promote this as a recommend business.

My husband and I were out of town and decided to book a massage. Ladies at the front were nice but we were very disappointed in the massages. They did not bother to ask how the massage went as if they already knew. The therapist did not seem to have much experience. We were very excited about these massages since we were having a weekend away without the kids but we quickly regretted it.

My husband and I went in for a couples massage as soon as we entered the building everyone was so warming and greeted us with a smile. The front desk person Whitney was very friendly and informative on what would take place with our massage from beginning to the end. (The new girl who was shadowing her was very nice too, they both made sure we had water from beginning to end.) Our two ladies who did our massage (Cicely and Allison) was amazing....They also informed us what would take place and asked us what areas we prefer more work on and handled just what we said. I would def recommend anyone to go here. I plan to go back!

Only pay cash! DO NOT give this place your card info. They told me I wasn’t on a contract.I asked them to stop charging me and they said I would have to keep paying to get access to all of the hours that I couldn’t use during the shutdown. They called and emailed asking everyone to continue pay for their hours and they would get perks. But now the only way to get access to those perks is to keep paying. It’s a hustle. The massage therapists there are awesome. Just pay cash if you go or you will get robbed.

Stay clear of this place on Mallard Creek Rd. Charlotte if you value your time because they will not. Im just leaving without a massage because my therapist got stopped as I was told. Not sure how long her pull over May last but last ticket I received I was only held up for ten minutes....anywho!This will make the third time I was asked to reschedule within two weeks and I will not for a third time. I will try another location. If it wasnt for this being a Fathers Day present, I would totally toss the gift card in the garbage as should they with their customer service.

My father and I received our massages from Jeremy and Mark. All I can say is...wow. I was very relaxed throughout the massage and when Mark told me to take my time getting dressed, I couldn’t believe that the hour was up! Definitely recommend this location; friendly and knowledgeable staff who’s there to assist!

I have been a member of this clinic for some time now and it is always just utter disappointment overall. Prior to this pandemic, the staff were loud and disengaged, engrossed in their own conversations more than your experience as a client. The rotating door of therapist has been sub par and unimpressive. The rooms are small and the walls are thin. Me and my wife have always preferred to visit the Northlake location.During this pandemic, this clinic has not shown any humility or empathy for people who have been furloughed or laid off from their jobs. The clinic is open so they are going to take money you dont have, even under these circumstances. I spoke to a rep on the 9th and was assured I would not be charged due to Covid and my inability to pay for services I am not using. They did not present the freeze option until they have taken over $100 without your knowledge, on the 22nd, and they refused to provide a full refund.No one bothered to follow up with a call, as promised, to discuss this matter over the phone. It was done all through email and Rachel has been unapologetic, unemphatic and rude throughout this whole issue.DO NOT GIVE THIS CLINIC YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY and DO NOT EXPECT THEM TO CARE THAT WE ARE LITERARY IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC.

Was a member for over 3 yrs and could never get appointments when it was convenient for me and when I did they scheduled me with a male with asking. Finally got a letter stating they were rasing the monthly membership prices so I decided to finally cancel and had approximately 13 massages to use, nothing but a runaround trying to use them up either as gifts or for myself. No openings, only one gift a month and no extra days issued due to all he holidays they would be closed. Customer service is horrible and not willing to work with customers, many other places in Charlotte for less money and better customer service with better availability.

Ericka was amazing... She has magic fingers. I am from out of town visiting my son in Charlotte and I scheduled appointment with massage envy which is not far from son house. They were very professional and friendly. I enjoyed my experience today and will be back..Sherry Harvey

Thanks so much for your horrible customer service and not doing the right thing by your customers. I called to have a membership cancelled and instead, the scammy manager put my membership on suspension and now I can’t renew my membership at the location closer to me. Which brings up another point, if I create a membership with a CORPORATE/ MULTI-LOCATION company, shouldn’t I be able to use my membership at ANY location!?Anyway, thanks again to Massage Envy for being such a scam. I will be taking my business elsewhere and enjoying a much better experience at a HIGHER CLASS and LEGITIMATE business!

I would not recommend making this location your “home” location. They do not seem to have the capability of handling the day to day administrative work. Everyone there needs to be retained.They never answer the phone. The staff doesn’t communicate with each other regarding customer issues. Management is unable to assist with time sensitive issues. They promise to return calls, but do not. Also, there is always an excuse for the subpar customer service. Some of the excuses I have been given: They don’t answer the phones at certain times because they are checking customers in and out. Also be mindful that even if they tell you they will call you back to resolve your issue, they won’t. You’ll end up calling them back and waiting on hold, again!Massage Envy as a whole is great! This location is just horrible.

My girlfriend paid for me to receive a massage for my birthday. The person who did my massage was either untrained or in a hurry. It felt like the masseuse was rubbing me with dry hands most of the time and I swear it felt like my hair was being waxed....but very slowly. The massage was supposed to be for an hour but they shave time prepping . This was the worst massage and worst atmosphere I have ever experienced in my life. If you want to experience a real quality massage, go to a real spa and probably pay less anyways. I do not envy anyone who goes to this place.

I hate to be confrontational and leave bad reviews, but I went in for a massage a little over a week ago that was subpar. There seemed to be lack of communication from the get go to where my massage therapist did not know that I was there, so we got started about 10 minutes late when I showed up about 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork and such. my massage therapist then was very overwhelmed about getting started late and was rushing and talking very fast. I informed my therapist that I have a lot of issues with my back and neck and that I usually like to do only upper body especially since I havent had a massage in a while, but they convinced me that they can work out all of my knots and still do full body. Needless to say, I regret agreeing to full body for one. The first half of my massage was so rushed that the friction on my back was making me itch. My neck was worked on for maybe a few minutes. There was no deep tissue, which I had requested. I am now having to use a shiatsu home massage device because my back and neck are still in extreme pain.

This was my first time trying ME despite the bad things I’ve heard I was still going to give them a shot.... until, I received a phone call 35 minutes before my scheduled massage saying that my therapist had to cancel. Very inconsiderate to cancel under such short notice when I planed my entire day around this appointment and could’ve chosen a better place.

Great staff and great place for relaxation. I usually get massages but this time I did a stretch and OMG I felt so amazing afterward. Highly recommend

‎I came to this Massage Envy on 10/14/17 as a birthday gift from my girlfriend and I have to say the entire experience was one of the most disappointing and upsetting experiences of my life. They have you complete some virtual paperwork before the massage begins so you can state your preferences and problem areas....I specifically stated that I wanted only lower legs, feet, and lower back with NO deep tissue since those are my only problem areas and I cant handle a lot of pressure. But when I got in the room with the therapist (Linda), she proceeded to tell me that I NEEDED glutes as well but I did not want that area to be touched, but she said it was necessary so I agreed even though I knew I didnt want it. I signed off on it and this woman dug the tips of her fingers, knuckles, and hands into the top of my behind just below my back and it hurt like hell. I lost track of how many times I said ouch and that hurts. She also dug her fingers and knuckles into my calves and I was in agony. She spent only 2 mins on my feet and then asked if she could unsnap my bra even though I asked for lower back and not upper back. I dont know why they have you complete the paperwork if the massage therapist is just going to do what they want anyway. I thought a massage was supposed to feel good and relax you. The massage was terrible and was extremely uncomfortable. The woman also rolled my underwear down and exposed my butt crack while digging her finger tips into the top of my butt. I hated the entire experience and i was angry when I left. I will never visit another Massage Envy again.

I went into the session with a tension headache due to the stress I was carrying in my shoulders and neck. Jonathan was very professional and customized the message to my needs. The staff at the front were helpful, friendly and relatable. I suffer from anxiety and use massage as a way to manage it. I left with a monthly membership and no more headache.

Best Massage Cicely (sure I spelled her name wrong) was amazing. This is my second try at a review because my phone did something weird lol... but worth making sure I gave my review. I workout alot... she help me realize my areas that need more attention. I will be back!

I jus want y’all to stop taking my money for membership after I have already canceled that is thief and petty thief at that jus very disappointed that is why my belief in ppl doing right is on defense. I just don’t understand how can you just continue to take my money thinking I’m not going to notice and not read the company policy on cancellation. Im a new member for a monthly massage or facial service. First visit was for a Microdermabrasion Facial service. Hopefully, I will be able to try a different person next time.

Been going here for 5 years and the service is amazing. Shema is my massage therapist and she is fantastic!! The enhanced muscle therapy enhancement is awesome, especially after a tabata workout. I Highly recommend Shema & Massage Envy University. You wont be disappointed!

I went there on a gift certificate given to me. The front office manager treated me like I brought a food stamp card. The massage was good but became uncomfortable as the massages became too intimate. I was later told that massage therapists can not go into touch certain areas. Feeling...?!?!

My massage wasn’t very good. Also it started 10 minutes late and ended 8 minutes early. I won’t be back to this location.

Gregory has hands of a god. I went for a 1.5 hour massage yesterday. It was insanely good. Ive had him before. Always professional! I will be back again, real soon.

Im a little concern about an esthetician there. I went in for a facial and she did nothing but talk the whole time and massage my arms and shoulders. I did not feel as though my face was of main focus not to mention clean. Hope she sees this and knows who she is so she can make changes to fulfill future clients needs. I love Massage Envy and their employees. Yet, I have to be honest to say that this particular esthetician needs to reevaluate her service and skill and perform to the max!

I always love getting (and giving) gift certificates for Massage Envy! Staff is always so accommodating and helpful! It is great that they always listen to what I need and make me feel like I am a VIP :)

Good luck trying to get a message with them if you arent already a client. Ive tried twice now and twice now Ive been told they are booked well over a week out for new client messages. Apparently, they only have so many new guest slots per day, which is really rediculous.

This place is great! It’s always so calming, smells good, the staff is very professional.

Wow, Im also concerned about a therapist there, Kerri Kiker. She wont quit talking and is not very ethical. She talks about her personal relations with her clients and also is pushing her massage business out of her home and soliciting services away from Massage Envy. How unprofessional, they need to get rid of her!! And not to mention, her massages are not worth the time or money.

Cicli is amazing i came here for a neck and back ache from my training. Very comfortable and peaceful atmosphere. She did the right thing with right precision. So relaxed after the session. Would definitely reffer.

I was there for a facial and did see lot of redness and burning on my cheeks after about a couple of hrs. I called the location but the staff were very rude to respond. Horrible service and much terrible front office response.

Full ME Spa for facials and such. Hard to get walkin same day appointments. One thing Ive been annoyed by is the message area has nice and peaceful atmospheric environment and then you step out into the reception area which is bright, loud, and chaotic which can kill the vibe you are in after your massage.

I went for a deep tissue massage for the first time at this place and my experience was great. People were friendly and my masseuse was excellent.

Too rushed, feels like being on an assembly line even when I did the 90 minutes. Super thin walls; could hear employees chatting and laughing in the hallways. Distracting.

The place has been renewed and looks great. The people are nice and warm. The massage is always perfect.
