We had SO MUCH FUN last night at The Comedy Catch! The opening comedian was just okay, the 2nd comedian was funny, but the headliner, Rob Ward, was absolutely hilarious!! We laughed so hard that our sides hurt. PLEASE bring him back again. The service there is also fantastic. If our drinks were empty, it was never for long. We will definitely be coming back for another date night soon!
My son and I visited on June 29, 2024 and we both loved the show! All of the comedians did a great job and there was plenty of laughs to be shared by all. I was pleasantly surprised to see 4 different comedians in one night and they really built up to a great main show. Our waitress was excellent and super attentive. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. We ordered the chips and queso and it was fine. I also like that they only have a $5 minimum which I found to be very reasonable. Glad we came, it really helped me rediscover the joys of a great comedy show!
Great local comedy club. Highly recommend going to one of the every other Wednesday open mic nights to see some aspiring comedians and veteran comedians working out. The atmosphere is everything you want from a comedy club, drinks and service are good. Location is great for nearby bars and restaurants for before or after the show. Certainly one of the more entertaining things to do in Chattanooga on a night out. Add to your list of things to check out if you havent. Chattanoogas comedy scene is really growing!
Had a great time. Service was excellent. Drinks were good. You get a plastic souvenir cup with each drink. You can see the stage really well from almost any seat in the place. The show we saw was the best ever. The entrance is a little tricky to find but GPS will take you to it if you set it to walking directions.
We’ve been patrons for almost 20 years, dating back to the old location on Brainard. ROD MAN, winner of Last Comic Standing has played here before , but each time we were away - until now. Well worth the wait. Place was packed and he was fantastic! Local talent Eric Foster opened and was also terrific. Snack and drink service was spot on too.Great night out.
It was a good atmosphere. The comedians was very funny. Services was good. Food was ok. But overall had a good time.
Okay so this place let me start has potential. we got the room to hotels.com it was $135 however five minutes later it was only $84 which hotels.com would not honor.. upon checking in we were notified that they had no cable TV because it was turned off due to covid-19. The pool was also closed and they had no working ice machine however they offered to provide ice if we needed it. We were hoping to stay in one of the train cars but were told that they were all closed for renovations. this place has a lot of potential but does need cleaned up its only been open a week since closing for 3 months so I understand. it has an arcade which was closed however it also has a comedy club which was open that we attended. We saw Mike Mitchell who was funny. Our room left something to be desired. Thought we were only passing through and made do. Location of the hotel is great a short drive to a lot of things. We plan to go back in a year or two when renovations are done. The building is amazing in the history of the location.
I had a great time here last night, fantastic line up of stand up comedians. This is a great venue located in the choo choo station. There is a full menu with appetizers, mains and desserts and drinks if you want to have dinner or snacks while watching the show. The food was really good and service was great. I had the nachos and chicken wings and it was delicious. I’m looking forward to coming back here to checkout another show!
Love going to this place.Never had a bad experience here. Always a good show and always leave with my cheeks hurting from all the laughing.Food is amazing.Highly recommend the donuts and the chips and queso
Love this place, love, stand-up comedy and I appreciate you guys being open for business and bringing us all the hilarious personalities. Would like to please ask if you guys could bring “Felipe Esparza”. I would love to see him in person and I would have a huge group coming to you. The staff in this place is wonderful and it’s good to have this in town. Thank you so much for your contribution to the community having fun. Please bring back the “Tennessee Tramp””. She is fabulous as well. And hopefully one day we’ll get to see “Gregg Morton” One more time in this Location.
The show was great. We were packed in pretty tight on the main floor. The show was sold out. Tickets were reasonable.
The show was great. My husband and I enjoyed the show on Dec 1. The comedian Mr Showtime David Scott was very good. He was very funny, encourage anyone to go see his show. The food was delicious and waitress was kind and quick on bringing our food. Great place to go. The owners are very nice. Will come back again. You want a good laugh come to the Comedy Catch.
We got tickets here on a whim and were very happy we went. The comedians were great and the staff was attentive. Check it out if you want to laugh
The food was really good and the employees were exceptional. I would give them 5 stars. The comedy I did not like the past 3 times I went. I’m not a supporter of the woke agenda and I do not like raunchy comedy. I did go see Dusty Slay when he came to The Comedy Catch and he was awesome. I would rather hear funny clean comedy. So I’m going to give them 3 stars just because of the comedians that came there was not funny but to left for me. I hope to try it again this year hopefully better comedians for 2024.
I loved the whole experience! The comedians were fantastic! And of course Etta May was the best ever! I loved the building and all the great energy that came with it! I will come back sometime!
Went there on open mic night. The comics were cringe as all get out. I really enjoyed myself!
The Comedy Catch is an absolute masterpiece of Local Chattanooga Entertainment. We went for the open mic night and expected it to be so-so, but we were met with literal non-stop laughter, good food, and good drinks. I cant recommend this place enough. Please support this local Chattanooga business because I know that going forward, I sure will be.
We’ve been going to shows for years! The old location on Brainard was ‘ nostalgic ‘ but the Choo Choo spot is way better. So many hilarious shows over the years. We saw David Scott , Mr. Showtime for the 3rd time , July ,2020 and he was hilarious as always . COVID-19 protocol was carefully observed and the service andfood were both really good. Sparse crowd meant lots of room for Social Distancing. . Looking forward to going again soon.
Had not been in a few years. Menu has shrunk, only comaint. But staff still great, and open mic is as expected :D
Its always a good time when attending the comedy show. Great drinks and food selections. Bonus that you get free tickets for your birthday if you sign up with your email.
This was our 4th trip. I enjoy the atmosphere and setting. We will definitely be back. I will just do a better job researching the talent there on the night we want to go. First 2 trips were 5+ stars. 3rd trip was 4 stars. Last Saturday was 3 star. No fault of the venue. Just need to see who is there and if they fit your line of humor. Cant wait til the next trip.
A little tricky to find. More signage (with arrow) would be helpful. Pass the train engines.
Perfect for a night out to litterally laugh out loud!! We enjoyed getting to see Etta May and the comedians opening the show were hilarious!!! I would go back to see them too!
I really enjoyed the Comedy Catch. We saw the comedian Rod man. The jokes were funny from the Frontliner, who was a native of Tennessee and the comedian. The waitresses did a great job serving us. We enjoyed the food as well: French fries, chicken tenders and cheesecake. I would definitely come back. I just wish we got different chairs. I will ask for shorter chairs next time.
Went to the Clean Comedy show last Wednesday night, with Carolynn Xavier and Don McMillan. Carolyn started slowly but was starting to roll at the end of her act. McMillan was, as always, hilarious. The venue is great, not a bad seat in the house. Table service is prompt and friendly and surprisingly reasonably priced. Mixed drinks as well as beer, wine, and soda are available, along with a decent selection of finger foods. The surrounding neighborhood is replete with excellent restaurants in addition to the fine restaurants and bars on site at the Choo Choo. This is a great way to spend an evening out.
Great layout and fair prices for a comedy club. Loved seeing John Reep!!!
Went thete with friends had a great time. Plenty of sitting room, servers took were on point even though they were short-handed. The comedians were so funny, laughing so hard, I cried.
An intimate comedy club with great service. Decent cheesecake, a good line up, fair prices, clean bathrooms, And you get the benefit of being at the historic Choo Choo. *Oh, and if you sign up for The Comedy Catchs newsletter you get two free tickets for a future event!**If you are looking for delicious food Id go elsewhere, unless you love wings because those are on point, but if youre very hungry and movie theater-esque type food will suffice, eat!*The Choo Choo, a restored railway station, has a collection of restaurants, bars, lounges and railway cars- one railway car is a pizza joint- that will keep you busy and entertained. Dont miss the whiskey bar!
Too many loudmouths in a small space. Opening acts especially 2nd one, sucked big time. His act was 90% act that was funny 50 or 60 years ago & Im 65. Love the main act once she finally got to go on stage after the nightmares on before her. Used to love cc when was on Brainerd road. I dont think I will ever be back to the current location.
Love this place. Its an excellent and fun way to spend an evening/date night. All the performers Ive seen here were fabulous and made my tummy sore from so much laughter. Highly recommend this place to everyone!
Always a great environment and the people working sincerely seem to care about you.
It was not a great experience. The man that greeted us at the door and took us to our table wasnt friendly. They squish too many people into the space they have available.
This is definitely a great location for your entertainment. Its located in the 💜 of tourism. Its connected to the Chattanooga Choo Choo Worlds famous Hotel. This is a great place to stay, and play. The whole area is full of other entertaining activities as well. We all can use a laugh 😂 from all of the serious stuff life can bring sometimes. This is in a busy location, with a lots of people. You love crowds this is a place for you. 😜. Guess what ? They usually have two shows. One is early , one is later. The comedians are local, and international. I have seen both. They will have you 😂 crying from laughter. Its the best of comedy shows anywhere. We are your number one tourist attraction in the world 🌎. Welcome to the Scenic City 🌆 ! The setting is very nicely located. It is limited, so go get your tickets 🎫 early. You order them on line. They have some tasty appetizers 😋. They have adult beverages 🍷. They have traditional drinks 🥤 as well. The management team is Top 🎩 Knotch. No drama ever happens in here. Go check ✅ them out. I love ❤️ Chatt Town Mr. C.
When they say Chattanooga’s most fun night out, they are not kidding. They only bring quality headliners to the stage. Don’t sit up front if you don’t want comedic interaction, lol some times the front row get picked on…. All in good fun of course. You get the same experience every single time. Consistently a good choice for a break away from the weekly stress.
Very packed out, long lines and rushed seating but the staff does well to keep people moving so not long waits. Many tables to get everybody in but some are tight, some dont have a great view, some are too close to the speakers. Servers were attentive for as busy as it is, the ipad style tablets they use for ordering make it SO much better & easier for everyone! Drinks just Ok, food was good. Reminds me of a well-run touristy place but in downtown that locals still go to
Great atmosphere and great venue and great food and absolutely fantastic comedy. Dale Jones was great!!! The entire audience was laughing from his very first joke to the last one. Be sure and catch his show whenever he is in your area. It was a perfect, fun evening.
My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. All of the comedians the night we were there were great and the food was good too, especially the donuts. We cant wait to go back 😊
We love this place! We have been about 7times or so and try to go every chance we can! We drive in fr Sevierville and spend the night just to go here for our special occasions. The owner is always there, very nice, attentive, seats you promptly, makes sure everything is going smooth and all the servers are very fast to react and kept food and drinks coming. We love the comedian they bring on stage, just over all a great date night for us. Cant wait till the next one.
Always a great time. The service is fantastic. The location is wonderful. You can walk from there to lots of fun stuff before and/or after the show (dancing, dining, drinking...etc) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you try the drink giggle juice . It goes down so easy and packs a punch. The food is decent. It is prettier than it is tasty. Presentation exceeds the flavor a bit but overall still good.
We came early and were the first ones to order food... kitchen just opened around 6:20 PM when we arrived. We ordered Mac and cheese and they were served in mini cast iron serving bowls set inside wooden holders. Oddly, the cast irons were cold and the Mac and cheese was cold. The fries we ordered were warm and getting cold. I asked the server to warm the Macaroni up. While waiting for that, we sat eating the lukewarm fries. Half of my onion straws were burned. They also tasted like the fryer oil was old and in need of new oil change. The mac was brought back warmed up and it tasted dry as a bone ...like it was sitting mass produced in advanced hours ago and left on weak sternos or something... Ive worked food services for years, and this is really disappointing... but Im not one to make a scene. I would much rather share feedback on here instead of ruining the servers day, because she was plenty nice. I hope the entertainment here is better than the food. We are from out of town and were looking forward to tonight. I booked the best seats in the house in advance so this started the night out on the wrong foot. 😔
The comedy shows are great! They usually always are sold out or near capacity which is fine. Drinks are a big hit too, however the food is not worth the money. Everytime Ive been its over cooked or just super bland. Still a great place to go! Its not like its a 5 star restaurant so I didnt expect much but after going to over 2 dozen shows and out of that ordering food about half the time, I would expect something to change about the food being overcooked after numerous times complaining.
Slightly strange place, kinda tucked away inside the old Choo area, but pretty cool. Get dinner afterwards
We had a great time. The comics were good. The food was on par for a venue in its price range. The place was fairly clean and comfortable.
This was a very fun night out. The headliner Chris was very comical. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. The drinks are a little high but pretty good. All in all I would highly recommend checking it out.
Went there for the first time on June 11th to see James Gregory but he had to cancel. We decided to stay and Im sure glad we did. All the comedians that night were really good. We definitely laughed alot!!! That was such a good stress reliever for me. It was my brother and 82 yr old mother who were there with me. My mother had never been to see a comedian in person and she sure enjoyed it too! The food was excellent and the service too! The whole place was so nice and I had no idea all of that was at the Choo Choo! Plan on going back in December when James Gregory is scheduled...🙂🙂🙂
Food was good. Cheesecake was delicious. Heather was our server and she did a fantastic job. We saw John Reed. His openers Matt and Luke were also hilarious. We laughed the whole time. It was a wonderful experience.
Great experience! Glad we finally went. Super funny act, Shaun Jones was the headliner. The staff was great too & the atmosphere was laid back & enjoyable. Prices are very affordable for tickets. Hoping to return soon!
We enjoyed the killer beaz show. The waitress Alexis was very nice and very pleasant and served us very well. I am upset because on the website it says, “ gratuity is added to parties of six or more” my husband and I was on one check. My daughter and her husband was on the other check, party of four. A 15% gratuity was added to both checks. They had $8.85 gratuity on our check and my husband left her an $11 tip. I’m upset because we did not know gratuity was added, that’s not what the website says, nor where we told it was added, and because it is so dark in the place, you can’t read the receipt. I don’t think this is fair to the customers. It’s not like we didn’t spend some money there. Our check came to $63.99 just for the two of us. But with the gratuity of $8.85 or total check was $72.84 and my husband left her a tip on that amount.
Been trying to catch...see what I did there?!??lol...a show at this legendary venue forever. Well, we finally made it. Exceeded expectations. The opening acts were outstanding but Pat Dixon killed. Great guy to boot. Go support this iconic venue. We will be back next weekend.
Lots of fun. Enjoyed the show. Waitress staff was great. The food was just ok, but drinks were wonderful. Next time I’m town will definitely do this one again.
The entertainment was phenomenal. The food was not good. My husband and I both ordered bacon cheeseburgers. The buns were so hard that we had to peel the top few layers off. The food was way overpriced for how terrible it was. Regardless, we had a great time and their signature mixed drink, Giggle Juice, was delicious! We definitely plan to go back but next time well eat before we go.
OK heres the real situation. The owner of this establishment makes himself way too present! He puts fear in the audience before the shows, stating that you basically Cant laugh, clap., yell, or make any noise above a whisper because he says the comic does not need any help.Well guess what your staff doesnt need any help either.Make yourself less present and stop being such a douchebag. I left there feeling very sorry for the comedian because it was very apparent that people were afraid to make any noise, therefore leaving the comic with a very Gut wrenching feeling in his stomach that he did not do a good job.
The show was AMAZING!! The venue is wonderful, it feels like a cozy evening with friends. My husband and I had the beef nachos and the cheeseburger, both were delicious, real meat burger, hand made, thick and cooked perfect! The nachos were crispy, cheese was hot, beef was seasoned well, toppings were chopped to perfect size, and the portions were well worth the money!!Thank you Comedy Catch for a perfectly wonderful evening!! Also thank you Carlos and Cisco for making us laugh to the point of passing out!! You guys were wonderful!! We WILL be back!!
This is a wonderful experience! Parking is super easy because there is a parking garage directly next door. If you park all the way to the top there is a nice view of the city even at night. Once you park you will have to walk to the back of the Choo Choo and buy tickets at the box office. If you join there email club they will send exclusive offers and discounts periodically. Once you are inside the service is great and drinks are well made. Liquid laughter is a personal favorite there and you can bring home the cup your drink comes in. Bathrooms are located out in the hall, but its not that far to get to, and are always clean! Come see the next show! You wont be disappointed!
Always have a great time. This last time was no different except my opinion of the establishment became higher with how they handled my great friend that is handicap. Took him in 1st and got him seated. Then took his electric chair to a safe place while we watched the show.
Had a great time here. There was no drink minimum which is really nice at a comedy club. The menu has something for everyone. I saw Preacher Lawson, and was very entertained. Make sure you save room for the apple bread pudding.
Such a fantastic experience. This is the second time Ive gone here with the wife, and both times we had a blast. They serve you food and drinks immediately, and they had two stand up performers before the main act. They all had us laughing the whole time!
Great place to spend a Saturday evening with your loved ones or friends. Good for a laugh and a nice evening. Service is a bit slower due to so many people to see the great acts, so get there early and order your food and drink. The owner is a super awesome guy. We come here every Saturday.
The drinks and the waitress staff were amazing and made sure my family and my experience was great!! The comedians were great too! I would recommend here to all of my family and friends!!
We always have a blast when we go. The food is great ... my favorite is the cheese cake ... the staff on a normal is great . I have only been once when I had to wait on a refill. The time before the same waitress was spot on so Im just gonna call it a bad night for her and move on ... I defiantly recommend going
Always have a blast! Great comedians and very friendly and helpful waitress. Would recommend it to anyone 18 or older. Went back last night Jan.14,2018 saw some great comedians! Always, have a great time. Going back next weekend to see Etta Mae cant wait!!
Amazing experience. This comedy club does not have a bad seat in the house. The comedians were hilarious, the service was quick and pleasant, and the atmosphere was very good. Every time I come to Chattanooga I make it a point to come to a show.
The greeter was very friendly and welcoming. The wait staff were fast and brought our check right before the show ended. So we didnt have to wait around. We saw Jen Kober and two opening acts. I didnt expect to see three comics. Especially, since the price was so reasonable. The parking in the Choo-Choo deck was $4 and a short walk to the club. I cant wait to go back.
Shows are always pretty good, acts are entertaining. The biggest problem with this venue is the amount you end up spending on menu items and drinks. There is a five dollar minimum purchase per person but good luck to anyone who can spend anywhere close to 5 bucks. I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea in one of their souvenir cups and it was so horribly watered down I ordered a double shot of whiskey to add to it just so I could taste something. It was still weak. That was all I ordered. No food. My drink came to 28 bucks! That would have been fine had I actually been able to taste the alcohol! For 28 bucks I can get quite a bit from the liquor store! Thats the big complaint about the place tho. Charge way too much for watered down drinks. Ill be back but next time Ill drink afterwards and order a water with something from the menu.
Great place to see comedy. Small venue so you feel up close and personal with comics. Been here many times and will for sure go back again. Cheap tickets and drinks and food are reasonable.
My husband and I really enjoyed the Comedy Catch. The nice lady at the ticket window was awesome! The price is affordable, the food and drinks are delicious, we laughed the night away from the start with the opening comedians ending with Jeff D.
I had the BEST night! The ( Tennessee tramp ) was amazing! Food was good ,as well as service. Cant wait for round two. And a shout out to everyone before Janet, they were hilarious.
Great time at the show really funny comedians cold beer. What more do you want?
As comedy clubs go, this place was not amazing (Id give its ambiance three stars), but went with a couple of friends on a whim and we had a good time. The bartender was friendly, the comedy was so-so, but we laughed anyways and had a good time. Im sure if we planned it more and went when there was better talent on the calendar it would have been great.
This was my first experience at the Choo Choo! Wonderful seating, great drinks, awesome service, and very entertaining shows! It was a wonderful date night and I cannot wait to go back!
Great comedy club. the comedians were really funny. they say everyone pretty spread out so there wasnt anyone sitting with us. the mixed drinks were great. going here was our favorite thing we done in Chattanooga.
Intimate setting to see great (or sometimes not-so-great) comedy acts. Cover charge is reasonable and minimum purchase amt is also very reasonable. I would recommend having dinner either before or after the show at a real restaurant. We had an appetizer and drinks during the show.
Went to the show to see Jen Kober... She is hilarious.. gene moore opened and he was so funny... I had never been to a comedy club and thoroughly enjoyed myself.. I laughed so hard my ribs hurt..
Ive been twice so far and each time was so fun!!! They definitely pick the best comedians and you will laugh until it hurts. We saw Mr.Showtime and Etta May. Its fun to go on a date or out with friends. Be ready to get called on if you sit by the stage.
Pretty awesome, long wait to be seated, quick on the drinks but not so much on the food. Must say that the main event was well worth it. Darren Knight was funnier as most that Ive seen, well return for sure.
My husband and I are very grateful that stand-up is back in person. We try to go once a month (wearing our masks for safety), and have always enjoyed ourselves, especially after a Giggle Juice or two!
We had a wonderful time watching David Scott perform comedy. The staff was great and the food was awesome! We drive from Alabama because it is always worth the drive.
This Comedy club is a good time for the price. Two open acts and the main event was all good. We had the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and the B.L.T. for the main meal. The food was good for the price. The comedy acts were hilarious! If you stay at the Choo Choo hotel the comedy club is a must do activity.
We always like to support local businesses and especially entertainment. We are frequent patrons of The Comedy Catch. My recurring issue is that the early comedians prior to the headliner do not adhere, even closely, to the rating for the show. If the headliner is PG13, the other comedians will be far worse than PG13. The latest mishap is that the headliner fell ill during the first show. No fault of the owner. However, we should have been notified at the door and given the option to get a credit for another show. A simple announcement was made just before the show began with no options. Most people are paying and attending to see a specific comedian. On a side note...the wait staff is always great.(In response to the owner. I was not speaking to this occasion regarding the rating, but too many previous visits. We appreciate your offer, but we stayed and therefore we would not want to do that. We purchased our tickets previously and did not go back on the website or your FB Page prior to arrival, therefore we were unaware until the show was about to begin. Thanks so much for the reply.)
It was a very quaint comedy club. It was clean. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The comedians were funny! The prices were good too! I visit a lot of comedy clubs and this was one of my best experiences. I took a date and it wasnt as expensive as other comedy clubs. My date also enjoyed it ☺
Always a good time! Great Guest and the Hospitality is Great. I dig the Management no nonsense enforcement! The Crowd is always encouraged to be safe and have a good time! 👍❤️
Its a smaller, more intimate venue so, its a great place to catch a comedian you love or find a new comedian. Signing up to be in the email list gets you 2 free tickets with select dates to choose from and they send you free tickets for your birthday. Plus, theres plenty to see and do within walking distance before and after the show.
The Comedy Catch is always a great bonding experience for you and your friends/family. It makes for a great date too especially if youre in a newer relationship and you want to see your dates personality. Its a great time with friends as well. It could he awkward if you go with family depending on the jokes. The service can be iffy. We have gone multiple times and had great service but sometimes we get that one server who isnt that great. But that shouldnt deter you away from the Catch. Its always packed out when we go even on a local night. You do have a minimum food purchase of $5. But this can be easily done with the prices on the menu. The food has always been really good. I recommend the Caribbean Jerk BBQ Sliders. The house drinks are one-of-a-kind. I recommend the Giggle Juice. You also get to keep your drink cup as a souvenir. They also have a bar area called the Backstage Bar. Saturdays and Sundays, they have bottomless mimosas and some pretty good Bloody Marys. Whoever the entertainment is, you wont be disappointed. Some of my favorites have been Tennessee Tramp, Preacher Lawson and James Gregory.
Sat down at 6:50. Stopped two waitresses who said they would send server . Stopped both managers to let them know as well. No server stopped to serve until 750. I was a server for 15 years . If you can’t Serve on someone right then , common courtesy is to stop by and at least acknowledge the table . Let them know about your struggle . Then come back .... she did not apologize and come to table for an hour when the act started . I give them two stars because the drinks were correct , two beers and a shot for me and my date (total) and the chicken tenders were tasty ( although cold). I am VERY disappointed as it seemed like they were understaffed alrhough when I checked online for a friend yesterday , the online sales were already sold out . The comedian was great . But I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the comedy catch and there customer service .* In response to manager’s comment- I can assure you that the first time that the server approached me I looked directly at my phone and it was 750 when she took my drink and food order . I do understand the need to come early however one hours wait time to be greeted by a server was a bit too much. She was a nice woman who did apologize when she finally approached the table - my main concern was the hour of waiting for first approach *
I am here right now and I have been here a couple times a year for almost 20 yes, since way before they moved to down town. This will be the very last time I ever come back. They served totally wrong food, totally leaving the meat off 2 plates of nacho supremes and then the manager told us that he wasnt going to make it right. He brought one plate out after getting 2 sent out and told us that one had been half eaten when in fact it had not. I am very disappointed with the lack of management skills that are displayed and as a business owner myself I have to say he wouldnt represent my business for long. I would also like to add that we did not use any foul language with you or your waitress. As I said already we will never be back so do you worry yourself with what we think of you as a manager.
***QUICK UPDATE - After reading the response from The Comedy Catch, I have a few points to make: From where we were sitting, we never saw anyone approach the guy. Believe me, we were closer than we wanted to be. We did not see or hear anyone ask him to quite down and/or stop heckling. As a matter of fact, he was still being loud and obnoxious 5 minutes AFTER the show had already let out. Also, we see comedy acts very often, and are more than aware that Etta May banters with her audience. This was not typical of any show of hers that we have seen. Regardless, we hope you take this info as constructive and not critical. Thank you.We visit The Comedy Catch quite often, and have never been disappointed, whatsoever!! But, last night we were very disappointed and saddened. First of all, we LOVE Etta May. We have seen her here and also in several other cities and states. She is a great comedian and this review DOES NOT reflect upon her. Shes the only reason that Im giving this review 3 stars. At the beginning of each and every show, it is stated and announced that no hecklers are allowed. It is also stated that you will be asked only once to quieten down and if you continue, you will be asked to leave. Last night, this rule was NOT enforced. My husband and I were very uncomfortable by this hecklers behavior and rudeness. It was beyond apparent that this person was very intoxicated. At one point, the comedian asked him to knock it off. While he continued to be disruptive and belligerent, you could see that the comedian was getting frustrated, as well as most of the people in the crowd. At this point, I question management/owners. Why are YOUR set rules not being enforced? Do loyal patrons or even first-time quests need to just, suck it up? Most of us work extremely hard for our money and getting a night out is a treat. To have our show getting basically ruined by one person, is just sad. At one point, we felt like we needed to leave because we were so uncomfortable. Once again, we LOVE Etta May and your other comedians. Im sure that not only your comedians, but your loyal audience members, would appreciate management applying their own set rules to each and every show. We are disappointed and now, very cautious about even coming back to The Comedy Catch.
$5 drink minimum per person. Crowd is more redneck. Good location. Eat before you go. Much better and economical food choices around within walking distance other than giggles grill.
The Comedians were very funny. Food was good. Prices for food and drinks was reasonable. Seating was well set up. The Comedy Catch is a great venue for a Date Night or for a Group Outing!
The seating could be arranged better. Hardly any room without being in someone elses space. But the service was very good. And the entertainment was first class. James Gregory is truly the funniest man in America. 👍👍
The comedian Frank Caliendo was fantastic!!Getting the ticket was easy over internet. Parking was accessible. We were one of the first 50 people to go inside but one of the last 220 people to have a waitress. Was never given last call. If your thirsty order 2 drinks at a time. Food is good.
Had a great time.. comedians were funny
Had drinks from the specials menu. Delicious. Outside seating is nice, but the street is loud during the day. They have water bowls for dogs on the patio if you ask.
My husband and I were looking for something different for a date night, so we went to a show at the Comedy Catch. When the bill came at the end of the evening, they had charged us for our order plus an additional order that wasnt ours. They took it back to the register, and came back and instead of refunding the money, they charged us the same amount over again! We asked to see a manager, were told no one was available since it was really late at night, and we should return on Monday. We called several times, and no one ever called us back. It was the most expensive date weve been on in years, and it wasnt even good quality entertainment or food.
We had so much fun!! Cant wait to go again...havent laughed that hard in a long time. The drinks were awesome...be sure to try the Giggle Juice...it was my favorite. We did order the chips and queso and the queso wasnt that warm but still tasted great...the chips did taste stale though but it was no biggie...the show and the drinks were perfect and our waitress was very nice and friendly.
Great venues small and intimate that allows the performers to provide a personalized experience. The drinks are decent we didnt have the food but it looked pretty good. Great place to laugh a while
The Comedy Catch is what it advertises itself to be - Chattanoogas most fun night out. Recognizable name or not, I have never seen an act that didnt make me laugh like a fool. They have great drinks and beer choices, but I am a big fan of the drink they call Giggle Juice. Tried the cinnamon fried donuts with caramel sauce this visit and they were delicious! They are social distancing properly and if you need a laugh, give them a visit.
It doesnt matter who is performing just go. Theres nothing like live comedy! Great staff, atmosphere, cant recommend it enough.
We had to cancel our reservation and never received a response to email, voicemail, or phone calls. After the ticket charge showed up on our credit card, I read the fine print and discovered NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. Even if THEY cancel, refunds are only given at their discretion. Beware.
Not the most friendly manager. All the drinks were super sugary. The seating isnt too bad but it really needs updated. The service is about as fast as can be expected when a ton of people are ordering drinks in the dark.
Killer Beaz was awesome! I think our server didnt like my wife as even the ice in her cup melted and got drank and she couldnt score a refill.. on water or her sweet tea... I didnt have that problem....
Ive seen quite a few shows at The Comedy Catch over the years and always have a good time. The drinks are a little steep but not enough to keep me from enjoying 1 or 2. I think its awesome to have this comedy club in our city.
HAD A BLAST!! My daghters and friends went for my daughters birthday. Great food...great service! Michael and Cheryl are very hospitable and super! COMEDIANS JAMIE AND LOOK ON THE RIGHT SIDE WERE AWESOME!!
Great comedians. Wait staff were super fast and attentive. Chicken strips a little over cooked but everything was tasty.
Peter Wong was great!Mr Showtime was fantastic!!!❤ He is definitely a great entertainer! It was almost like a concert with audience participation! One of my favorites!!!
Such a fun place, with great service. Lots of tables, but I always recommend buying seats ahead of the show.
Comedy Catch Chattanooga Choo Choo was a new location for me. I been to Brainerd Rd they are both great locations and have had hilarious comedians. The food and drinks were good. The club and bathroom were clean. The wait staff was attentive. I had wonderful family time and plan to return. Laughter is the best medicine.
Excellent service. Patrons seated separately at their own tables, which is wise at this point in time during covid. Prices for the show were very reasonable.
Vastly exceeded expectations. Opening comic/M.C. was pretty bad, but that set a nice low bar that the real acts knocked out of the park! Good food/drink, reasonable prices. Will definitely go back. The price was right.
The show was great. And the food wasnt to expensive. The only thing I do not like about the new location is the parking. The old location had parking right across the street and it was free. They are now downtown and you have to pay to park everywhere.
Wouldnt know how it is. Waited and waited for the box office to open, but they never showed up. The website doesnt work with mobile devices. Not sure its even still in business. The phone just rings and rings and they ignore the posted hours which said 2pm in Saturday (not 3 as the owner claims) so who knows...they may have just folded up and shut down. Wasted an hour of our time trying to be paying customers, but if they are still in business, they apparently dont want our money. The owner responded with baldface lies below and claims my wife and I were confused. Thats about the only joke I heard here. The posted hours stated 2pm box office opening...not 3 as he now claims. There was no answering machine...the phone continually just rang and rang. Another lie by the owner. My Android phone is running the latest OS 7 build and their website simply didnt have a way to choose a seat and advance....another lie. The place looks very disheveled and the blinds in the box office window are bent up and filthy. The owner claiming his inability to adhere to his posted hours was my fault....sad. Own your mistakes and correct them...dont lie & blame your would be customers.
Love the entertainers and the management HOWEVER, the food options are boring if you have been more than a few times, which I have, and the grease the bar food is cooked in probably needs more frequent changing, it has made me sick the last two times I was there. The worst aspect though, is the parking. The company that handles the parking have rude and hateful employees which puts a real damper on your evening. I understand why the Comedy Catch moved to this new location, but I personally hate it because of the parking problems we have had.
I drive from Bremen Alabama to Chattanooga Tennessee to go to The Comedy Catch. It is worth every mile. The talent of the comics at The Comedy Catch is outstanding. I have tickets for three more shows in the next month and a half.
Ive been here three weekends in a row and people that are working really great the owners great the comics could do better but I really enjoyed it
Had a great time. There are a few things that could use some updating (the projectors computer comes to mind-- it was super choppy when they played some pre-show videos), but the show was great and the drinks were nice and strong.
Such a fun time! Had a blast! Food is only okay, but the drinks were great. And of course, the comedian was hilarious.
This is a unique and fun place located at the Chattanooga Choo Choo! The food is decent and drinks are reasonable. I have laughed very hard every time I have gone ! Definitely a great place to have a fun night out with friends!
I love the comedy catch. Have been going for years. I recommend you park in the parking garage to the left before you go in. They have special nights that are probably listed on their website and have discounts on certain nights for college students
An amazing staff with delicious food choices. It was my first time going and the atmosphere of the room is that of an old train station. The Comedians were great, obviously a very well-run establishment
Bring earplugs if ypu dont want hearing damage. For some reason they turn the mic volume up way too loud. Otherwise, it is a good time.
Had so much fun! Went to see Dale Jones on 2/19/22.. laughed so hard my face hurt! Will definitely go see him again!
A great experience every time.
Would have gotten a 5 star but Jerry at the box office has to be one of the Rudest people I have ever encountered! Talked to us as we were bothering him to do his job. I work in the Hospitality Industry and Ive met quite a few rude people but this has to be in my top 3 of Rudest people.
Overall good time for a laugh. 4 stars for the repeated mention of tipping your server. From the beginning video, to the intro comic and all the way thru...tip your serversI completely get tipping...BUT THEN to SNEAK in a 15% gratuity on the bill... And run credit card as though no tip was processed with BLANK spot for ANOTHER tip with a spot for you to again total up your bill.....ShAdY! Not to mention this is all done while your trying to listen to the best part of the feature comics show.... and in the DARK.IF a tip is automatically added, it shouldnt be in your video and comic set for us to tip over and over again. smh.
We went and had to leave within ten minutes. It’s very dirty and the comedy is very crude. We went with my husband’s parents for their anniversary. The main act was J. Chris Newburgh from America’s Got Talent. We chose this show because his comedy is cleaner than most and we were looking forward to seeing him. However, the first comedian that performed was so drunk he could hardly stand up. The second comedian that performed was so crude and awful that we had to leave before Chris even made it to the stage. We were very disappointed. 🙁
June 11 th. Waitress was great. Food was not so much. My friend got a butt end of an onion in their burgers. I got the end of the bag pieces of my sweet potato fries.
I wouldve rated it 5 stars, but the guy at the box office, who also answers the phone, is always such a jerk. Its like he tries to be nice but he just doesnt know how. He should hire someone to work with people for him. Im assuming hes owner or part owner, because I cant imagine him doing that job otherwise for as long as he has. If hes not the owner hed be fired by now.
We had an amazing time! The waitstaff although short staffed took wonderful care of us & the comedians were out of this world! I highly recommend visiting the comedy catch. Its always a favorite for us!
Ok.. Maybe I would have left a better review if I hadnt of asked for my ticket and received it over an hour later. Sorry if people have to be up at 4am... 8 pm is like the cut off and I want to head home. The service is terrible ask for a beer get it a half hour later. Was not impressed.
If youre in Chattanooga you have to stop here!!! Rod Man performed the night we went. Hilarious 😂😂👏👏😂😂 Only reason I didnt give them 5 is because our waitress completely forgot about us. Make sure you get your drinks and food ahead of time.
I was also with Tiffany Coy tonight. The food we ordered was terrible. Nacho Supremes with about 10 chips, a pile of lettuce, raw jalapenos, no meat, and very little cheese. After waiting 25 to 30 mins and no waitress to be found. I took the 2 orders down stairs to the kitchen where I waited for another 5+ minutes as waitresses walked passed me holding the plates. One finally spoke to me, I explained the issues, and she went to get the manager. I was still standing there holding the plates. She finally came and took the plates from me and I returned to my seat. Our waitress returned with 1 plate and informed us that this was all the manager would do to make things right. We were very respectful with her and I told her I would follow her down to speak with him. He approached me with an attitude. And I told him the issue, he told me half was eaten from one and I explained no thats what was brought to us. I also explained I would not pay for the other nacho. Tiffany explained the issue after the show and we were accused of using profanity with the waitress which was an out and out lie. She made the comment we would not be back after 20 years of coming several times a year. She was informed by the manager that he didnt care. Real professional attitude there. So heres my review, beware of management and dont expect any type of professional courtesy. Im a retired army veteran and police officer, this was a horrible experience. Now comes the excuses and reteric from the unprofessional manager owner. I hope you have better luck than we did.
Always a good time with great comedians!!! Be sure to check out the historic train station and area when there.
Food was good, nice place. We bought tickets for pg18 rating. OMG no where close to pg rating. The comedians were funny but we could have done with out the language and some. Of the content .
Amazing line up and comedy. Hard to hear comics sometimes from resteraunt side noise or am easy 5. Service and food/drink 5 stars though. Overall amazing experience.
Comedy Catch has good comedy. Could be cleaner comedic material. Sometimes the stage is used to promote thimgs against American families. Hope they order specific comedic material for better comedy that everyone laughs at and enjoys without promoting crime. If you agree send them a request for it.
First time at the new location. It is well laid out with great views at all seats. Good food and drinks as well. Location is perfect for parking and doing other things before and after.
Me and my husband have been to the Comedy Catch many times. We enjoy going to see the variety of comedians they have we normally have a wonderful time. I decided to take my mother to see Derrick Tennant who is a wonderful comedian. This was her first time and it was an awful experience. People kept yelling out at the comedians and some were cussing which made the comedian loose his train of thought. I had hoped management would come and say something like they say at the beginning of the show and also state that you may be asked to leave. I was very disappointed that my mothers first time there was not the wonderful experience that me and my husband normally have.
Fun.. attentive wait staff... great bar..Food is nothing fabulous...basic bar food. They really dont need to repeat to customers about keep it to a WHISPER... lolId like to see them down a few and reach whisper mode at a comedy event!
The waitress was great,,the food was great,,,The problem I have is I came for a fun night,,,,I have gone to see many stand up shows at other places ,,,,sat on front rolls before and been teased and laughed so hard ,,but the headliner last night did something that I have never seen before he asked who voted for trump and this older lady in the crowd raised both hands and the show went downhill from there ,,,,,he turned this into a political fight,,,,bullied her so badly that I couldnt believe what I was hearing,,,,,it was so uncomfortable to watch because she wasnt saying anything or doing anything,,,,,from that stage with Mic in hand he bullied her because her belief in politics was different than his ,,,he tried to turn the whole room against her ,,,and not in a joking or funny way,,,,as this poor lady finally tried to quietly leave the room he stopped the show to say good lets let her leave she probably has a trump rally to go too just to keep being mean to her,,,,,,honesty it was so uncomfortable it really messed up a night that was supposed to be fun......The Comedy Catch is good but (Eric Griffin )the headliner really should be ashamed of the way he treated someone ,,,,I would never pay money to hear his opinions on politics again......we all hear that on the news I came to have fun and laugh instead I left feeling bad for a stranger
We really enjoyed the show, also the fresh hot donuts. My only complaint is that it is a bit confusing to find. Need better signs point which way to go through other areas to get to where you actually enter.
The food is way overpriced for bar food. But most places are. The servers were great. And depending on who you see you can have a great time.
We saw Etta May and she was funny, it said it was clean comedy but it was more PG 13 I wouldnt want my younger children to attend. I didnt see any children and this was my first visit so maybe this is not even an issue, just an opinion.
The food, drinks, and service is great. The show is always dependant on the act. Station street has several good bars and restaurants. Overall a highly recommended destination for a night out
The show was great the food was delicious and the service was great however if youre trying to leave that parking garage you better be ready to stay a while because it doesnt accept cards or cash half the time it stays broken and will close on you unexpected I really wish they fix the parking garage
Went with a group of 8 and laughed so hard we couldnt breathe. I didnt order food so no review for food quality. The drink I had was tasty however, very little alcohol.
Me and my two friends drove almost three hours to the comedy catch to be treated horribly for no reason the comedians bashed us not in a joking way and the owner tried to kick us out for no reason the only thing we were doing was eating and talking amongst our selves! The owner yelled at us and told us to shut up and told us to leave but we wouldn’t leave... we didn’t do anything wrong and had paid to be there!! He even went as far as calling the Police to tell us to be quite! We honestly didn’t do anything at all to be treated this way! We were quite! After the show people started coming up to us telling us how they didn’t agree with how were being treated and that we didn’t do anything wrong and that if we made to leave they would have spoken out about it!! I have never been treated so badly it was absolutely ridiculous!!!Don’t waist your money!!
My sister-in-law got 8 free tickets for her birthday. We saw Matt Mitchell and he was hilarious. We always have a good time at The comedy catch.
Best fun night out in Chattanooga. Great food and great laughs. Plus, they have the friendliest personnel, and the owners are magnificent. Thank you for bringing Chattanooga 30 years of fun.
We always have a great time at the Comedy Catch! Have enjoyed thoroughly the varying talent they bring forth. One of my favorite ways to spend a night out in Chattanooga.
Was unsure of entrance but once there food drinks and show were great. Down side is they seat strangers with you at small tables. Upside you can make new friends lol
Jason Cheny was so worth 2hr drive to see. Food was very reasonable priced and service was fabulous. Complete with barrel of laughs. Looking forward to another trip to The Comedy Catch soon.
I always have a great time when I visit here. The staff is friendly, the food is good and the comedians that are on always bring the laughs. Do yourself a favor and get down to the COMEDY CATCH for an awesome night of fun!
Food is ok. Comedic talent is ok. They want you quiet while the comedian performs. I get not allowing video, but they threaten to throw you out if you get caught texting on your phone. Yes, texting. Is this high school?
I have only been here once and I saw Steven Ho who was hilarious. I will check the comedy schedule and come back soon.
Great place to relax and enjoy the house drink, giggle juice. Place is well set up with many famous personalities appearing there. Prices are reasonable and parking is better at new location.
We seen Dale Jones and had an absolute blast highly recommend
I Love the comedy catch,BUT I need them to put the hamburger back on the menu 😋 PLEASE
So much fun. Audience participation was great!. Will make the Comedy Catch a regular on our visits to Chattanooga. Mike Paramore was terrific!
Feb 9th 2020 was such a fun night with comedian Mike Paramore. Went with friends we laughed so much! His interaction with the audience with so much fun ...Yes a must go see!!!
Great service and venue but horrible accustucs. We couldn’t hear half of what the comedian was saying. We even moved to the balcony and it was no better. We think the entertainer wasn’t talked directly into the mic. Still had fun.
My husband had a I had agreat time. First time here in Chattanooga. I will highly recommended. To go and see Rod Man. He is great!
Comedy Club is great, always laid back k with tons of laughs. Drinks are strong, food is good. Great date night idea.
I went with a group from work and had a great time. The comedy show was very funny. The food was good, the fresh to order donuts were amazing. I would recommend going.
The Comedy Catch club was off the chain as a great club for laughs, great drinks, & atmosphere 🤣 😄 😆 😀 👌
We love this place! We come a lot! Got 4 free tickets for my birthday, this place never disappoints
Awesome shows. Great venue. Drinks are a lil weak and maybe eat dinner first. But, first class staff and great comedians.
