Landshark Bar & Grill

The staff working there was great. The place as clean and they had good TVs to watch any games you might want to see. However, the drinks were terrible. Shark bowls were barely drinkable. I swear they put cheap alcohol into the bottles. I ordered several shots of Casamigos (figuring it was a safe way to go) and it barley tasted or smelled like tequila. Not idea what I was actually drinking. It was something fowl. I drink tequila all the time and that is not what I ordered. I asked for a new shot because I thought he gave me the wrong stuff, but I saw him pour the second shot out of the Casamigos bottle, so it was the correct bottle. Only thing I can deduce is they pour cheap garbage into the expensive bottles. Id like to go back and test it! The 4 of us all were sick afterward. Will NEVER go back there.

Day: MSU v UM game day (1-3p, 10/21) - Maddie was the highlight of our day. She was the only one on the floor. Could have employed 2-3 more wait staff and cut bk on bar staff during that time. Burgers were dry, overcooked and cold. Fries were warm at best. The Onions rings were hot & rocked and the pickle spear was a close second. Guinness & Oktoberfest were chilled and tasty. We stuck to the floor with every step. College game day adequate at best.

Carter behind the bar was awesome! Didnt expect to eat but got the fried ravioli with homemade marinara sauce. Delicious! Thank you Mandy! Will be back.

Its a boardwalk bar, thats for sure. I get the sense that they dont clean their drink lines very often. Both my partner and my beer tasted off? Stale and kinda sour.

Worst bar in East Lansing. Bouncers cannot tell a real ID from a fake one and they have the worst attitude towards people. Will reject you with a real ID after waiting an hour in line. Anything else is better. Would give 0/5 stars if I could. Never go to landshark.

The food was good, drinks were good, however I did have one of the managers who wasn’t so pleasant. She had a very brute-like personality and it was off putting for a dine in experience. I understand as a manager at a bar there must be some sort of roughness, however I felt like she came off very aggressive.I also been told that this particular manager said something to my friend about how “your kind is always here”. Being that my friend is a Black male, that is very problematic and should be addressed.

My co-workers introduced me to Land shark after work hours and I loved every visit. The only problem was sometimes they close earlier than 12am and their kitchen closes often so it hard to get a late night meal. Overall great food and service.

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Home football game days only! The syrup made the French toast and the meatballs. The potatoes were cooked perfect. Great price value. The apple sauce shot was very good and the wife loved her blue shark bowl. Hoping to try the pork tenderloin and eggs next time.

I love this place I did 14 shots and a 46oz shark bowl in about 20 minutes and yes I ended up in the hospital but the owner was super cool and the staff is amazing but when I sort of passed out and wasn’t able to respond I was still able to hear the security guards because I’m in healthcare I know that you can still hear while unresponsive and they were not being very nice

Newly renovated and extremely well done! Live bands, great food, awesome drinks, super fun music, and amazing service! Destiny and Caitlin are amazing! Caitlin was my waitress and she was amazing! Destiny wasn’t my waitress but was absolutely amazing! She had the most day brightening smile. If you have read this review just come to landshark already, you won’t regret it. Pinky promise!

Went to the shark this past weekend, I really enjoyed the DJ and staff, but I was really confused by all the TVs with sports/game shows. Is this a dance club, or a late night sports bar that stops serving food too early? I really wanted to dance to good music, but the room the dance floor is in felt very sterile and was also plastered in distracting TVs. Would have been cool if there were music videos playing on those TVS and more fun dance lights, please work to create an aesthetic in the dance room that’s conductive to dancing!

I really enjoyed this place, I’d actually give the rating a 3.7 but I can’t do that. I recommend this place if you’re looking for just a quick bite in a new place like for vacation. It’s food is above average, nothing particularly special but not bland by any means. The service was also really helpful with location and your advice. Overall a pretty good place to eat.

What a fun place! Staff is excellent and very attentive. Get a Shark Bowl!

I was told this bouncer (security) went by the name “cousin”. He put his hands on me and my friend while we were in the VIP area with the VIP purchasers. The security guy that went by the name “cousin” took me by the shoulders and dragged me out of the VIP area when I was saying that I was walking out. The same security guy did the same thing to my friend who was trying to walk out behind me. Unnecessarily put his hands on two girls. I confronted him about 10 minutes later about putting his hands on me and my friend and he laughed in my face. Should really keep an eye out who participates I’m running landshark.

Waited in line for two hours, to find a greasy unclean bar full of dudes. The employees were extremely rude and looked like they needed a shower. I was standing by the bar waiting in line to get my first drink because I had only been there for about 10 minutes when two bouncers walked up to me and told me I had to leave. I hadn’t done anything wrong, I literally did nothing at all yet. I tried asking why they wanted me to leave and they said boss man said so. I asked to speak to him and they said no. I continued to argue with them and they said that it was because I was “swaying”. I hadn’t had any drinks yet that night so I was 100 percent sober and there was no way I was “swaying”. I definitely won’t be going back there again, if you want to go out in the area I would recommend any other bar such ricks or harpers. Land shark doesn’t care about there customers or the cleanliness of their bar.0/10 do not go to this place.

Had never been in before, stopped in and got dinner; bruschetta was awesome and waffle fries were great! Now we were there when college kids were not, so nice quiet atmosphere and service was great!

Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. Food was awesome. I got the BLT and their choice of bacon and bread along with the house made garlic aioli was perfffffect. We will come again!

Jenna the manager is the best. She cares for the customers and the staff. Absolutely makes the environment so much better

Allen is the sweetest server!! Hes thoughtful and attentive and made our whole experience - Ill be back for the shrimp but Ill be staying for Allen!!

Be aware that the bartenders will add money to your tip hoping you will not notice the next day. Well...they chose the wrong person to do that to. They added $20 to a tip. Better luck next time.

The average rating for this bar is very bias. If youre over 25 you will not enjoy this bar. This bar is on a college campus that advertise to college students and serve college style drinks that have college student employees. Needless to say if you are in college(especially if involved in Greek life) then The Shark is great. If you are older and are over the college scene then you probably will not enjoy The Shark.

The servimg staff is clearly all brand new, and very poorly trained. The vibe is great, and the live DJs are awesome to have in town. I wish there was a real dance floor.

Fun college bar, watched some football and drank some beer. Definitely worth going to when at MSU

I went there with my friends and all the workers were quite rude. Also, it was really dirty and smelly inside. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I will never be returning.

One of my favorite bars in east lansing love the location variety of different drinks selections and the vibe there!

Not busy when we got there but got crazy busy afterwards. Bartender was never engaged with us and after it got busy blew us off for the younger kids that got there.

Clean, fun, nice bartenders, take music requests when its slow & give you a little extra on your birthday! Emily and Devon were wonderful!!

Its cool going underground to the bar but hardly any place to sit. Go here if your just planning to dance. Often very packed

Standard College Basement Bar. Good Atmosphere and mostly Greek Life Hangout. Great on Thursdays and Saturdays.
