If you love country dancing you will love this place. You will find enthusiastic folks dancing to live country music. During the break some more experienced country dance veterans will eagerly teach you country dance moves. If you are new or dont feel like being on the main dance floor, you can dance in the back on a more cozy dance floor. I had to pay a $3 entry fee and had to order a drink to please the waitress. But thats dead cheap considering how much fun this place is.
This place was great and the staff was great. A little pricey with there drinks, but the main thing is after 10pm you cant dance around the floor because all the people dancing in one spot. If your there to dance country, keep the floor moving and dont allow the people to stand in one place with drinks on the floor, that messes up good dance boots when people spill drinks on the floor. Bouncers need to keep that from happening, its a country western bar, not a rave!
Not very nice. My friend and I arrived there at 12:15am. They were set to close at 1am. They still required us to pay the full price each to get in $15. Really!! 45 min left and not much you can do but most likely have 1 drink at near closing. I asked if we could see inside as it was our first time there. I was told no from the young 21 something - year old dark haired female at entrance. Very rude. Basically she wouldn’t even let us walk in and peek. Wow! Really! Won’t go back and will tell others of our experience.
I went here for the first time on Friday night, cover charge was $15. When I first arrived there were lots of people line dancing while a DJ was playing county music. Some couples also were swing dancing and two-stepping. At about 10pm a band came and started singing pop songs, it kind of threw me off because this is a country bar but it was entertaining. When the band started the country dancers got off the main dance floor to make room for the drunk less coordinated dancers, but I soon realized there was another smaller dance floor where the line dancers were still dancing. There is also a mechanical bull that costs $4 per ride. This place was not entirely what I expected but I had a great time with my friends and I did several line dances.
The place was full on a Saturday night. They have live music and a big dance floor. There are three bars and some separate ice buckets where you can purchase beer. This place attracts people of all ages, plenty of seating. There is an outdoor patio. I never had to wait long for a drink.
Not a country fan at all. If youre not either, this might not be somewhere youd want to visit. We came here for a friends birthday outing and everyone had a pretty good time. The drinks were good and there was a good amount of space for dancing. The biggest downside was the $20 cover that none of us were expecting to have to pay. There was a mechanical bull and barber chair for drinks. Food was a bit price for what you were getting ($4 for some basic fries that werent good), nothing super fancy at all. Would consider coming back here again for someones party, but the country scene isnt my thing.
We tried to go here for a birthday party on Saturday night. 30 of us came out from SF. We had all had maybe 1-3 beers before, so no one was drunk. The door staff was rude from the second we got there. We had arranged a 10 dollar cover for the group prior to arrival, but we had to get there by 9. We were there at 9:07 and they were completely unreasonable and wanted us to pay $20.00 a person.Really, the kicker was that after about 7 minutes of chatting they declared we couldnt go in at all. Two girls from our group had left their IDs with the bouncer, gone to use the ladies, and a manager on the inside was upset they hadnt paid (although they had permission to go in)The guys on the outside said they had a right to refuse anyone and they were refusing us.There were no loud words, no fighting, no drunkedness. Just some dudes in Fremont acting like jerks because they could. Perhaps they dont like city yuppies in their bar?Ultimately, I am a bay area local, and I have been excited to visit this place. I would never recommend anyone planning their party here. Skip the bull. It is not worth it. They really ruined our night. And we are a really fun loving respectful group.(They mentioned being worried we would leave the place to go drink on the bus- um, we only had booze on the bus to get to the bar and we all have JOBS and are in our late twenties.... we can afford a drink inside thank you)
Very fun. We are from Reno and had a great time. People were friendly. Drinks were cheap dance floors were huge. Like all county clubs turned into a regular dance club arround 11
For country fans, this place has it all - live music, line dancing, mechanical bull, reasonably priced drinks and a really fun atmosphere. There is a cover charge ($10 on Saturday) but the band was great.
Awesome place to go for dancing and the prices for drinks is perfect. I like the cover charge before 9pm. Lots of parking and all the workers are super nice. Jewels and her band is awesome!
This was my first time at this country club. I just love the place. It was loads of fun. Some rude, and some very friendly people. Enjoyed utmost. Very good place, if you want to socialize and have fun. Entry ticket of $10-$20 was worth it.Thank you
Front door guys are cool. Great atmosphere. Only been there once but we had a good time. All ages. Cool bull riding. Friendly people.DONT bring a camera. Rude angry manager Saturday nights. If there is a problem They are jerks about it.
A hidden gem in Fremont!A great place for a Friday night out. The live band is super talented and sings your favorite country hkts and top 40 songs :)They have line dancing throughout the night - of you have never done it before they have lessons from 7:30-9 pm. We had a blast trying to learn the moves ! Combine the dentist chair with the mechanical bull and youve got yourself an entertaining night for sure
As a Texan in California, I was looking for a place like this, and it is amazing every time. Its a country music bar with a big dance floor and live music on a raised stage, a mechanical bull, a dancing cage, etc. Its barn-like lit up with Christmas lights; its a basic beer place. The crowd is somehow authentically country - people totally seriously wearing cowboy hats and boots and knowing more line dance moves than Ive ever seen. A slightly out of the way gem.
Absolute blast. Totally welcoming of new people and teach you the steps to the dances if you come early. Multiple bars so waiting for a drink is no problem, and the general atmosphere is just fun!
Went to the saddle rack on a Saturday night, security guards( so they claimed to be, there were 10 of them)were standing outside drinking and we saw one guy relieving himself on a car. We were told it was a private event but we could get in if we paid them $1000. We said we didnt have that much cash and they told us if we had drugs to give them we could get in. Didnt have that either and they told us to leave or they would call the cops. As we started to leave they tried to box us in and a guy w/ a baseball bat came up to the car and acted like he was going to swing it at our car. We took off and called the cops but didnt stick around to see what happened.
This is such a fun nighttime hangout place for friends, especially if you like Country Two Step or line dancing. Its very chill for all types of people, and its the perfect place to let loose.Saddle Rack has several bars, a mechanical bull, 2 stages for dancing, live music, and a dance cage (for those who are into that). Its a huge place.Every who comes is here to have fun. Lots of bachelorette parties are held here. There are even some old dancers who completely rock the dance floors.Overall, its tons of fun for groups.
One of the best honky tonks in the San Francisco Bay Area for sure the largest. A great place to dance and see live country and western bands.Multiple bars make for quick friendly service.
I used to come here a while ago.I choose to come today since I havent been here for a while. After my first drink I found myself getting escorted out while being yelled and sweared at for being a dirty jew by the security staff. This place hires only white racist people as security and Im no the only one complaint I suggest you read other feedbacks to learn for yourself.Give you hardworking money to another place of business, one who isnt discriminate based on race.ThanksDean
If you love to line dance, drink, ride a bull and listen to awesome live country music this is the place for you.Put on your dancing shoes because they know how to have a good time!
This location was reported as being closed down permanently. a lot of people not very happy, because it was one of the few remaining establishments of its kind in the area. Im trying to figure out if they had a change of plans and decide to remain open, but reportedly Corona virus did them in. I hope Im wrong, but I wouldnt drive there unless youre sure theyre still open and they probably are not.
Meh. Its a bay area club that says its a country club. The band ended up playing pop and then 2 DJs started spinning hip hop. Granted, they were there to promote the Make A Wish foundation which is awesome, but still, its supposed to be a country bar/club. The dance floor ends up being full of people spilling drinks all over the floor and each other.
Came over on friday night, didnt realized that this place does not let you in with a plain white t-shirt, the bouncer was extremely rude treating me as i was a criminal! In went and purchase the 15$ t-shirt as the bouncer escorted me to make sure im not doing anything stupid.absolutely ridiculous been to this place multiple time but this bouncer must be replaced!
Ive been going here for years. The dance instructors are usually good. The band could use some variety in their line up. The staff are fantastic!
Neat place with lots of country loving folks. Thursdays are quiet and 3$ drinks, bull rides and classes. Friendly people that will teach you line dancing.
The security guards wouldnt let me or a friend in based on race. We got out of an Uber (not a party bus) and were denied entrance as soon as we came up. We even followed the dress code on their website (no hoodies, no track suits, no low hanging jeans, no sleeveless tees, etc). The gals came in knee length modest country western dress, the guys came with jeans and a collard shirt. We were treated like thugs. The security cursed us out and threatened to call the police. We had to call another Uber and wait at the street corner while they kept harassing us. One of them even followed us to the street corner, continuing to curse us out. He picked on my black friend and threatened him. The security guard said my friend came with an open container. He explained that it was an empty solo cup and he had disposed of it across the street respectfully before approaching The Saddle Rack. I told my friend to keep his head cool and snapped a few pictures as we left, bewildered that we had been treated that way. Two gave me their names but one of them pointed to his chest and said S-E-C-U-R-I-T-Y is all you need to know. Thats my name b----. Everyone in our group was sober. Clearly the security guards there were not.
Vomit city came in with friends to have a good time but seen a lot of people that cant handle their licker I dont know if it was vomit or beer on the floor I could not tell. I wont step foot In that place ever again it was God afoul I couldnt have a good time because all the vomiting going on around me.
I came here for my first country club n I had one of d best nights of my life. The mech. Bull the Margarita chair Awsome. Im planning another visit soon I hope it hast changed if it has only for the Best.
The $10 cover is unfortunate, as is the inability to open a tab. The chicken nuggets are microwaved, but hey they dont hide it. Otherwise the mechanical bull is good fun as is the overall atmosphere.
Bouncers should be riding horses bc they clearly have sticks up their asses. Not letting one girl who was in her 30s and had paid the $50 fee for New Years bc her ID had just expired. Was a complete jerk when trying to discuss the issue. Wont be back and dont recommend anyone comes.
Not into country music at all, but that did not stop me from having a blast and even joining in and dancing! So much fun at the barber shop.
We took a party bus to SaddleRack Saturday night from SF. We got there at 9:10 and the bouncers were extremely rude and turned us away saying, all buses have to be there before 9. It wasnt the enforcement of the policy (even though I would think 10 minutes to welcome 15 people would be ok) it was the extreme rudeness and disrespect that came from the Saddlerack employees.
Biggest Cowboy bar on the west coast. Awesome band. Bull to ride. Great drinks and the food in Moms kitchen is super.
This place is total crapWORST music EVER played in public (and without shame.) They do not appreciate a free spirit... I love to dance just not in a line. Get over it.
Fun live band , mechanical bull , two dance floors , list of dance lesson days , and overall a fun atmosphere.Would return again for a good time !
So much fun! Everyone was friendly. The bands were really good. Ill definitely go back!
Come here if you want to get humiliated. I came with a open spirit and mind with all of my co workers. The security MADE UP A VERY FALSE accusation about me that I would never in a million years do to a human. First and last time I go here.
