The Orbit Room

Ive been to this venue numerous times and each time has never failed to amaze me. The bands that play here are usually great. The staff and security are very nice and the security is great at getting the crowd surfers! The parking lot is pretty good, too; I didnt feel unsafe or anything. I will definitely go again!

This venue is just terrible. There wasnt any AC in the room and no airflow. It was so hot, I had to leave.I dont even think the venue has AC at all. As a bonus they have a No re-entry policy. If you forget something, youre out your ticket price. The bars were gross to, one of them had tap beer spilling into the clean ice. The sound was muffled as well, I couldnt even understand the singer. The parking lot is a complete hazard, massive potholes everywhere. If your favorite band plays here, go see them in another city where you can enjoy them in a decent venue.

Worst concert venue i have EVER been too! Left us out in the cold, snowing, for over an hour. Parking lot full of potholes. Would not let anyone go out to smoke accept when they designated times. Venue so packed could hardly move or get drinks. No lighting on the stairs to balcony n staff was very rude. Love the band playing but orbit room totally ruined the experience!

Very clean venue, at least from what I saw. The staff was excellent at getting people into the building and had fantastic security. The only complaint I would have is that the hallway from the lobby to the stage is very narrow and made exiting a bit tight. But that is a very minor detail compared to how great of a time I had at the Orbit Room.

I would of given a higher rating but my friends and I went there for a show and we were the second people on line. Got there like 2 hrs early to be first. When they let us in they didnt know where we should stand to go in. We were finally directed to one spot...then 20 minutes later they began to let people in at the opposite end of where we were told go stand..we ended up with not as good of seats as we would of had if the people working there knew what the heck was going on. How do they not know where people are going to enter in? Wont be back.

Wish I could give zero stars. What a terrible place! The event we paid $20 for, was suppose to be from 8pm to 2am. We were there around 930, first people in the place besides employees, and nothing was happening. By 11, there was maybe 10-15 people, & we were told it was being held off till more people were there. Well it should have been advertised that way. We paid $20 a person to stare at an empty dance floor and drink $6 canned beer for 2 hours. The manager that was on shift has no business in a management position, as she had no clue what was going on or how to handle the situation. And the foam party.... Very poor decision to put a slippery soapy substance on the already slippery cement floors! That was just a bad business decision! Clearly the businesss judgement is blurried! And the same old wobbly tables from 15 years ago when I was a teenager?? I guess when your business is failing, you cant afford to upgrade equipment! Which is probably why they feel they need my hard earned money more than I do!

Saw Twenty One Pilots here a few years back. Only complaint was the venue got so sweltering hot. Literally like ninety degrees inside in the middle of freaking October. I was wearing leggings and a flannel and It got so hot I just straight up took off my shirt. My makeup was completely gone by the end of the show because I was so ridiculously sweaty.

Im messaging to inform that the Pottercon in Grand Rapids May 20th was probably one of the WORST events I have been to. I came from Detroit to come to this convention because the Detroit event did not have tickets available. And this event was poor. First of all, the amount of people in a small venue was not planned well. Only 6 bartenders working! The lines were horrible, you were lucky to get a Butterbeer before they ran out! Second of all, the sorting ceremony was not put together well and offensive. The hostess took so long asking questions they barely got through any names. And it was EXTREMELY disappointing not to get sorted as a die hard fan and driving all this way. And the person who played Angry Dumbledore was EXTREMELY offensive with the amount of GAY jokes. There is a point of hilarity and making light fun or mention, but he took it way to far. Honestly, I was so disappointed and disgusted that I and my fiance left before the costume contest. We wont ever return, it left a bad taste is our mouths.

A surprisingly great place to see a venue. Strip mall venues are always a crap shoot. And this one is even next to a strip club but its a really great place to see a show. Acoustics are great. Beer is really reasonably priced.

Too hot. no AC or any ventilation.smells bad.they dont seem to know how to get people in the door. had 2 seperate issues getting in with my ticket (I wasnt the only one).beer selection is non existent.who carries cash anymore?

Im new to town and have heard people say great things about this venue so I was excited to go. This place is a dump! No A/C, disgusting bathrooms and warm beer. The sound was ok which is the best thing I can say. Disappointing!

I would give this a better rating but they seemed to have declined in their metal shows. And i have seen some really great shows here in my days and now it seems theres more rap shows than anything now and lately theres been shootings here and it makes me sad to have to give a low rating. If they cleaned up their act here and put on more good metal shows then i will rate better.

Great area to go see a concert, this is a very small venue. Warning this place gets extremely hot in the summer. It was almost unbearable to stand in the room. Drinking a cold beer helps! Other than that it’s a great spot!

Wish the owner would have kept up with the maintenance of the building. I have seen may shows here. They were all great. Will miss having this music venue around.

Honestly cant stand this place. Its rank and gross. There is only 1 bathroom and there was no hot water or paper towel to dry your hands. The theater is dirty and falling apart also.

Really awesome place for events.

Been going to the Orbit room since I was 16. They used to have metal shows all the time now I cant even tell if they are open for business. Bands that have been playing the Orbit room forever (like Clutch) are now starting to play at 20 Monroe.

Place is def retro..oldie but a goody..i could do without the sticky floors-Everywhere!... Been going there the last 20 years...only thing theyve changed is prob the toilet paper. However how bad it sounds, I will go back..rock on!

Absolutely terrible. Terrible crowd, terrible staff, venue looked like it hadnt been renovated in 10 years.Such a waste of my NYE.Came in and left 2 minutes later with my group of ten friends.

Dude the lines are ridiculous, honestly under staffed planning was horrible going to wait in line by the time Im inside show will be over. Just through 100 bucks out the window. Place is a joke.

Going to Aaron Lewis this Saturday. By reading some of the bad reviews I hope my wife and I have no issue.. is there a David that works there my wife Sandra is looking for him we just moved here From NY

Sound was great. $7 a shot. Small enough to be intimate, but big enough to be lit af.

For the two icons we got to see play, whom no one will ever get to see play again in this lifetime, the negatives were completely ignored

Drinks are too expensive 6 dollar can of beer and 7 dollar mix drinks. Hasnt been updated in 20 years. This place just sucks.
