Recently received a couple massages from Tessa, and she has been incredible! I had a therapist I saw in Charlotte for nearly 8 years and moving to Lakeland I was bummed because my therapist in Charlotte NC was so good! I feel very lucky to have found Tessa, she is VERY good and I do have high standards, but she does an excellent job and I have seen her 3 times now and every time has been absolutely perfect, I even signed myself and my gf up for the monthly program because Tessa is so good!

I have been a member here for a while now and highly recommend you treat yourself monthly here! Tessa is my therapist and to say the least she is absolutely amazing! The hot stone massage will have you lost in a trance! The staff are great and super friendly! Cheers!!

I have been a member with Massage Envy since 2012! From Maine to Florida, I have visited many locations and had many massage therapists. Jessie from the Lakeland Massage Envy is absolutely amazing, he always goes above and beyond, he is an asset to the company, and he is the reason I keep coming back.

I did not attend. No voicemail when I tried to call to cancel after hours. I couldnt answer the phone when they tried to call the day before as i am a nurse in clinic. I was charged for the visit and will not be coming back.

Tessa gave me great massage yesterday! She concentrated her efforts in those problem areas and completed the full body therapy. I woke up free of regular aches and pains. Thank you, Tessa!

I have been seeing Christine for many years now and I will say that without a doubt she is the best massage therapist I have ever had. The way she moves is so graceful that you forget that she only has two hands. She has helped me be able to regain mobility in my back and shes truly a gem. Christine really cares about her clients and even accommodated me when my schedule changed at work. Shes an angel and the sweetest woman youll meet. The service was over all good, but Im giving 1 star but I cant give less, they tried to sell me a package or monthly service, I refused. I did schedule another appointment a month out but couldnt make it due to a wedding and canceled, or so I thought, what I didnt know is that they kept my card on file and didnt tell me, when I missed that appointment I thought I canceled, they charged me $120 and set my bank account that much neg and more after fees, and had to dispute charges with my bank because after talking to the franchise, they told me its mandatory they keep a card on file for such as this, so they basically charged my account fraudulently, be ware of this if you use them, they will get you if you cant make it😡

I was in town on business booked an appointment for a massage, the receptionist was extremely helpful and I got an appointment! The massage therapist was very skilled and professional at his craft. Everything was very clean and everyone was very friendly. I must say I was skeptical at first because Massage Envy is a chain, but I must say this experience here changed my mind. Thank you you guys! I had an excellent massage with Tessa. However, the associate at the front desk was very pushy about their membership, even after I said I wasn’t interested.

Although I got my schedule time wrong I thoroughly enjoyed the 20 minute massage.

Ive enjoyed my year or so with this location. My therapist Bruno excelled at getting into the knots in my shoulder blade and now I can move it again and havent had much if any pain since I started seeing him. I noticed some reviews say they had trouble scheduling but Ive never had a problem. I finish my massage and they book me for my next the following month. Location is clean, people have been friendly too me, and I havent at any time felt cheated out of my session. Ive had other places cut my time out but Ive gotten my full time, each time! Worst part about the place is the PARKING! Get there 10 minutes early atleast because the parking lot is slammed all the time.

This review goes back to September 2022 (around Hurricane Ian). I was a membership and loved the place! I usually get a full body massage with 90 minutes because I am a Veterinary Nurse and always on my feet. I know exactly how masseuse should do and be relaxing at the same time. In the Lakeland location I made an appointment with Tori at a morning time close to brunch. She comes in the room very aggressive like she had a bad morning to start with. As she is massaging me it’s so aggressive, fast, and not even relaxing. For this appointment it was only for a hour (thank you). Of course at the end of the service the receptionist always asked,”how was it?” I had to be straight up with her and told her, “it felt rush.” They did offer a free enchantment which I did appreciate on their behalf. Overall, the masseuse was my issue.Your response does not help my review I gave you guys a one star my session was not great!

I go here monthly for massages and always have a good experience. But this year on my birthday I decided to kick off the day with one of their facials. I’m writing this review to talk about how amazing my experience was. Tiffany was my facialist and she was amazing. She went above and beyond by making me feel special. What astounded me the most was the pride she took in her work. She made me feel like the experience was as important to her as it was for me. She seemed proud of herself when she was done and I loved that feeling. She put me in such a zen mode that stayed with me all day. I would definitely recommend Tiffany’s facial to anyone who needs a recharge. Everyone at this location is warm and friendly and works to create an experience. Definitely worth the me never ship. And you also get a free addon if it’s your birthday so I would recommend scheduling a service on your special day.

Do not sign up for a membership at this location! Twice they have lied to me about canceling my membership. I have been a long term member . Signed up in 2013 but simply want to end it because IAm going to follow the therapist that moved to hand and stone. Filled out the paperwork to cancel last month and theyJust keep charging me.

Just visited this location after being a long time massage envy member, and let me tell you what a wonderful experience it was! The staff up front was warm & welcoming, the facility was clean & fresh, and my facial was absolutely amazing.

I’ve beenr wanting to get a massage for the past yea….. Finally I decided to just call and book an appointment. I asked for evening but the receptionist replied with she had a 1 p.m. I restated I needed the evening because of work but then decided that I would just take that appt because I was at the point where I needed and wanted this appt. So I scheduled time off of work to make this appt. Once I arrived and was filling out paperwork on one of the iPads it died before completion so the receptionist had to grab another iPad that was properly charged. After finishing the paperwork I was taken to the room where I’d receive this massage I was so eager to get. I was told to take off everything except my underwear. I did question and ask if I could keep my bra on but was told no and to take that off as well. So once I was prepped and ready the massage began. I had explained my troubles areas and was anticipating how good I would feel after. My massage therapist never hit any spots or massages me. I felt like I was just being rubbed down with lotion and nothing more. My massage also started at 1:09 and ended at 1:54 even though I paid for 60 minutes. I was deeply disappointed in this service to the point where I called the store to stress this. I was told that the manager would reach out which that never happened. I will never visit this place again. Even if they offered to make up that bad quality of a massage I received

I am so grateful that I decided to book a massage for me and my mom at this location. We had purchased gift cards in May for a Mother’s Day special, and were FINALLY going to have them done. When I arrived, I could not locate the gift cards, and was so upset. I had already rescheduled due to a family emergency, and was doubtful I would be able to accommodate both of us before my baby would be due in just 4 short weeks. Tessa went above and beyond, (enduring my emotional meltdown) and helped me look up the gift cards with the number , that my husband had luckily found in a purse I left at home. She helped us navigate the tablets and get back in time, with a smile on her face! Thanks Tessa! Mary and Gabby were both so sweet and patient with us. We are not “frequent flyers” and we’re kinda nervous and out of our comfort zones. They made us feel right at home! Not embarrassed at all for lack of experience with massages. They even invited us back, and educated us on a lot of health benefits of massage. My mom has fibromyalgia, and Gabby did such an excellent job with her!!! She ranted and raved the whole car ride home. I am 36 weeks pregnant, and cannot remember a time my back has not hurt. I feel so wonderful!!!!! I had to take the time to do a review and thank everyone for being part of our experience. We both felt like princesses, and will definitely be back!!!

I have had a membership for about a year. Always received great treatment, until today! Today I had a therapist new to me, Mr Phillip, he was not good he was OUTSTANDING. I honestly received the best massage I have ever had in my life. He found all my aches and pains and worked out the knots and kinks. He truly was great. Very professional and knowledgeable. I will see him all the time.

I stopped in for a quick mid-day massage & I was seen by Christine. She was the most pleasant masseuse Ive encountered. She actually took the time to ask enough questions to get down to the root of my back issues. Extremely cordial & kindhearted. I will be back to see Christine. If youre looking for someone that truly cares, Id give Massage Envy a call & ask for Christine. My back feels better than it has in months.

I have had a membership for over two years and today I tried making a appointment with my packages I have available and they told me my account was suspended. I have never been contacted or notified. I am very upset as I have always paid on time with automatic payments. The customer service is ridiculous, as a member my expectations were higher. The manager could not answer to why nothing was sent via mail or emailed to me. The lack of communication is upsetting. I’m highly disappointed.

This review is on behalf of my partner and does not pertain to the entire establishment. When I booked the massage the staff was very friendly. This is solely regarding one therapist and I apologize for I do not know her name; he remembered her name beginning with a G or J (but not Jane). First, I scheduled him a one hour massage and judging by the time he got home this could not have been a full hour. He was quite displeased because his therapist talked the entire time. He did not feel it was a relaxing experience at all. He stated I went there to relax and forget about my problems, not talk about them. Also both of us filled out a questionnaire to ascertain what the main focus on the body should be (his back) and he felt not enough attention was placed there. Finally we both had listed the most firm pressure be used and he stated her strength was lacking. Again, some of the other therapists are probably fantastic but based upon his experience we will not be returning.

The massage was nice but the therapist talked the ENTIRE TIME despite me not responding and trying to relax. I also indicated that I wanted the massage to be focused on my back but that area was worked on the least. The massage also wasn’t an hour which is what I paid for.

The massage was great unfortunately when my next appointment was scheduled I was told I didn’t have one. They changed my appointment and still billed me $179.00 for a no show. I asked repeatedly why was I billed it wasn’t my error I was told I would be refunded only half my money. Then was told I wasn’t a member after I’ve been a member for over 4 years. There are far more better places for the price. Thanks management.

I’ve had a ME membership for just over a year now. The staff has always been extremely kind and helpful with my appointments. During my pregnancy I came in for a massage every 3-4 weeks and Christine always took great care of me and made sure all my aches and pains were eased the best of her ability given my medical spinal history. I couldn’t ask for better service and can’t wait to get back for my next massage postpartum. Thanks ME and Christine for the wonderful service. I’ve even referred a few friends.

Im a member of Massage envy and have gotten a massage once a month for over 3 years. Ive had Amber Adler as a therapist a few times and just recently on 11/23. She is wonderful. Listens to everything I say and does a fantastic job on the Massage. I look forward to seeing her again!

I have been a loyal customer of the Lakeland location on and off for 5 years.... My wife had to have emergency surgery for a 6 centimeter rupture in her diaphragm with 6 to 8 weeks of recovery time.We were told we could cancel our membership anytime and NEVER told of any waiting periods before you could cancel.We went into have our last session and the counter representative filled out the cancellation forms and asked us to sign to which I stated There be no more withdrawals from my account and she stated there wouldnt..Today I check my bank account and Massage Envy debuted our account $110. When I called I first had to call 10+ times at 10am when they opened at 8am as the phone kept saying no one was available and to leave a message.When I finally got through I was told there was a 10 day cancellation notice. NO ONE ever said anything to the sort when we signed up saying you could cancel anytime and no mention of this when we cancelled. They filled out everything and asked us to sign the cancellation page.I was told the manager would call me right back at 10:06 am and its 1120 am and I still have no call back, so it shows how little they try for customers retention..From the reviews Im not the only customer whos had this problem so beware to anyone wanting to patronize this business as they are so nice when you sign up but act like they know you or appreciate you if something comes up.I WILL NEVER UTILIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN AND STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU DONT EITHER

I booked a facial with Catrina, and I was more than amazed. She takes time to sit with you and observe your skin to tell you what the best course of action for your facial. I left with my skin feeling rejuvenated and 20x better. I can’t wait for my microderm infusion treatment with her next month! Good morning everyone I just wanted to reach out and tell everyone that i just recently went to Envy Massage in Lakeland Florida. I over worked myself again at work like normal and was in some really bad pain. I didnt want to go since my last experience at a massage parlor didnt go well. But my wife convinced me to go and see a women called Christine Hicks. I have never had such a great massage. Christine got out every knot in my back and shoulders. I havent felt this good in years. Thank you for such a great massage. I will be going back.

I have a membership with Massage Envy. Prices are reasonable especially when your someone like me with a physically demanding job. I have used a few different massage therapists in this establishment, two weeks ago I used a young lady who’s name started with a T, I wish I remembered her name because she was amazing. Deep tissue, allowed me to have my 6 year old daughter in the room with me in which was unexpected but I really needed the appointment.I have also used another gentleman three times, but I unfortunately will pass up on his services moving forward. He is a great massage therapist but I’m not there to talk the entire time. I need quite, and I’ve tried to politely just stop conversation a few minutes into the massage but he will continue to talk. I don’t even like to answer when he asks if I’m alright when he knows he’s hit a knot or spot that’s extremely tender. I know he means well but maybe they can come up with a system. Like asking us if we are open for conversation during the massage or if we would like quite peace besides answers to questions pertaining to the massage.One more thing, this is the second visit I’ve been falsely informed of the amount of massage minutes I have built up. So I chose the 90 minute which only cost me 20$ plus my monthly. But after my appointment Friday night, I ended up leaving paying 60$ PLUS MY monthly fee due to being told wrong account information. This will be the second time.The tables are not warm like they used to be? The head rest need to be adjusted so are necks aren’t flexed towards the floor.The bad taste will leave soon and I’ll pick a new masseuse. But overall I’d like this place to return to a 4-5 star establishment.

Massage Envy is so easy to book and get seen and I love their range of availability. That being said, when you book - I highly recommend Tia Knight! She is very knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and attentive to what you discuss about your concerns. I always find myself nearly falling asleep during every session lol... shes that good!

I love the atmosphere all of the therapist that I have had massage me have been pretty good. They are all professional and know what they are talking about. When it comes to helping me with my problems this is where I come to get all my tension out. I highly recommend Tia, Doug, Aaron or Sam!

Super dissatisfied with this location. I originally started my membership at the Wesley Chapel location, who are amazing and on top of things. I actually live in Lakeland but the Lakeland location did not have skin/facial services at the time. When that opened up in August, I started to use my monthly services closer to home for obvious reasons.. the drive. My first experience with the Lakeland one, they had me sitting in the waiting room for thirty minutes (which bled into my appointment time) until they finally realized I needed to fill out my info again on a tablet. I did this at Wesley Chapel before so I assumed I didnt need to do it again. If not, I would have said something to expedite the wait time. I just thought they were running behind. Every experience making an appointment since then has been horrendous. There was one day I attempted to call the establishment 6 times (twice on my way to work, twice on my break and twice on my lunch break) all with no answer. While I thought that would be a one time thing, I was sadly mistaken. Anytime I call, it is impossible to get someone on the phone. Leaving a voicemail with my work schedule is pointless because I cannot answer most of the time if they were to call back... I expect a business to answer the phone during business hours. I work in customer service so if they are too busy once or twice, I totally get it. But this has been 5+ times and thats unaaceptable. Last time, I had to call the Wesley Chapel location just to try to get in touch with them and verify I had the correct number. Not only has the number been correct each and every time, but no one called me back as promised. I work two jobs so scheduling something ahead before they fill up is important to be since I have very limited time. This poor level of service is causing me to cancel my membership and take my services elsewhere.I clearly have massages and facials left to use so after taking time out of my day to drive up there and schedule something, the receptionist was rude and made no attempt to dissolve the situation or apologize for the inconvenience. I will never refer anyone to the Lakeland location.

Christine Hicks is the friendliest and most enjoyable masseuse. She knows what she is doing and she made me feel comfortable and welcome from the time I walked in. She made me feel ten times younger. I will be coming back here just for her to make me feel young again.

Very poor customer service, had three separate family members join at same time, three separate memberships, all three went ever other week, never missed, always prompt.Went this evening as always, looking forward to our three appointments and too our surprise only two therapists available.They did not care to accommodate, nor did they even try.Quote “ that’s the way it is, you can cancel “We canceled our memberships, very very poor customer service.And most important is the front desk “in-charge” person COULD CARE LESS.

Nice and clean. Employees are very nice and helpful. Its a nice way to get away or just take some time for yourself. It does take awhile (a month sometimes) to get an appointment, but totally worth it. Totally recommend it either for me time or if you have a sore/stress body part.

There are a lot of other places you can go with better service and a nicer atmosphere for a similar cost that won’t trick you into membership. The worst part is the cancellation policy, heaven forbid something come up even if you call, if it’s less than 24 hours they will take your money. The first time I came here my massage therapist did not say one word to me, by this I mean she never asked about what I wanted or why I was there, and didn’t even wait outside my room with water when she was done. I guess her shift was ending because she left before I could even check out at the front counter. Very poor customer service.

Turnover is disappointing. In six months the second therapist with whom I have bonded is leaving. I made an appointment with a therapist to try that person out and was not thrilled. I just made an appointment with another therapist to try but The online confirmation was with someone else.I had to call and explain that I wanted the therapist with whom I had made the appointment. I was told she had no appointments that day so now I have yet another random person on a different day. I’m not going to renew my membership.

Massage Envy is great! The facility is very relaxing & clean. The staff is always helpful & friendly. My therapist, Jane O. is fabulous! She gives a deep tissue massage that really helps with the muscles in my neck & shoulders! I love coming here!

Not a bad place just high employee turnover. Once you get comfortable with the person massaging you, they leave!They also keep raising their contract prices and to add insult to injury, the also keep raising the prices of their massages as well! Cancelled contract.

Service was great but do to surgery coming up my husband cancelled our membership and got charged for the next month anyway. Called about it and was told you cancelled 9 days before the next billing. If we were told that when we cancelled it would be different but was not and was told there is a 10 day cancelling policy. Wow one day, not very happy and will not be back after my recovery. Location is the Lakeland oneAfter a few calls we got a hold of the new manager and she listened and agreed to refund the money.

Great massages but I would never become a member or recommend anyone to become a member. I was casted up from medical issues & still kept my membership until it was complete. I had a doctors order not to have massages. They didnt honor it. All the massages I paid for for 12 months, they took them because I wouldnt renew my membership. Sad but true!!

Amber is the BEST massage therapist that Ive had since moving to Lakeland. She really listens to her clients needs and is very thorough and friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I had a facial there and it was ok, it kind of burned my skin and they dont do a good job with extractions. I really thought it would be a good deep cleaning especially for 90 mins. And they are always booked for a massage so I can never try and get one.

Christian is just the absolute best! She is so kind and makes sure to take care of you the best that she can. After my deep tissue massage my back felt 10x better I cant wait for my next one!

Got a gift card for Christmas for this place. Tried to schedule an appointment the only appointments they have available are at very odd times, unless I am ok with a male therapists (Im not, call me odd, but I would never be able to relax getting a rundown from another guy). Not only that tried to book online and what they say is a $50 intro rate is $90 online, and you must give them a credit card to book an appointment. If something happens or comes up that you cant make it then you get hit with 50% charge of the massage you booked. In essence a $45 cancellation fee. Im sorry, but I have always paid and tipped cash for a massage and wont be giving my credit card number to anyone who doesnt need it, they dont. I asked for a refund on the gift card and was told they dont give refunds on them. Correct me but Im pretty sure FL passed a state law in 2010 saying that yes they must give a refund upon request. Department of agriculture is closed for the day but I will be filing a complaint with them in the morning. Spoke with an associate yesterday, who passed me onto a manager (Amanda) who had to contact another manager to answer my questions. I can say they were polite but really didnt care when they basicly told me like it or not we got your money and wont give it back regardless if we are able to provide you with service or not. Do yourself a favor. Dont do business here and definitely dont buy a gift card from them.

Ever since becoming a member it has been incredibly hard to get an appointment at a reasonable time. I even requested one via the app and never got a call back. When I called in to see what the matter was, I was told that its best to just call as the app isnt checked regurally. So, I missed a chance at my appointment because they forgot to check the app? Why have it then?I understand they cant control when someone is available to receive their massage, but every time, they are booked. booked. Booked. Booked. Will not be renewing my membership.Edited to one star because while the staff is extremely curtious and helpful, I have been given wrong information on how to cancel my membership, resulting in an extra month being charged. I have asked twice about when I can cancel, and was told the wrong thing both times. No notes in my file for them to reference. Not at all pleased.

Ive had 2 back surgeries (thoracic and lumbar) in the past 6 years and have chronic pain (neck/shoulders/back). Tia is AMAZING. She listened to me describe my pain and knew right where to go to alleviate it. She positioned my leg/hip in such a way... that she could better penetrate the gluteus medius and piriformis giving me relief I never thought possible. Same with my neck/traps/shoulder. She even found a muscle knot near/above my ankle that was causing a chain reaction of spasms in my calve. She is humble, very knowledgeable, and been at this location for several years ...making her dependable. Shes also passionate about the career that she said chose her, not vice-versa.I moved to this location from Largo... And it does take quite some time to fit into a rotation for your 1st massage...they are busy...and, like many other service industries right now, are short staffed. The trick is to make your next appt before you leave your current appt. Trying to be seen a day or so in advance is difficult. You can always call and check for last minute cancelations, as well. Staffs always helpful.

Phil is amazing!!!! I came in today with a knotted neck and couldn’t turn my head left at all. He knew exactly how to loosen me up and with the right amount of pressure and stretching I can now move my head like a normal human. I have been to him twice now and I think I will request him from here on out!

I’m an RN and I’m constantly moving people. I’m also a mom to an almost 2 year old and I’m constantly picking him up and playing so needless today, I carry a lot of stress and tension in my neck and shoulders and Phil did an awesome job of working the knots out of the muscle. I actually have range of motion back in my neck without feeling as if I’m going to snap it. Thanks a lot!! Will definitely be coming back.

The manager there is rude and we will not be going back there. We bought gift cards there for Christmas and we had a death in the family and they expired within that week and when I booked the appt they said no problem we could use them. Get there and she said we cant. That everything had to go through her and it was to bad someone said that. We have been going there for years and we buy Christmas presents for parents there but not this year. They will not get another dollar from us. Reason being is because she said she would issue a refund and didnt. I am not wasting my time anymore!! There are plenty of other places that will take our $90 for a massage for us and gifts as well!

It’s been hard trying to cancel my membership here. They call you and reschedule your appointments ALL the time and at the last minute. My account has been debited multiple times past my due date in a billing cycle. I just want my account cancelled. I have to go to my bank just to cancel.

Horrible..... Getting a membership has been the worst decision EVER. I can never get an appointment. They’ll cancel it and say that the person scheduled didn’t come in, or left early, or whatever. If you schedule online, they still have to call you to schedule it and then, they’ll call you to cancel it. Right now, I have about 6 unused membership appointments from the last 6 months, because of horrible appointments. However, I must add, THEY TAKE THEIR MONEY REGARDLESS OF IF YOU HAVE HAD YOUR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT OR NOT. They won’t cancel it. They’ll just tell you of their extended hours, in which NO ONE IS THERE. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED

I was hurting so bad this day and my therapist, massager(?), Christine, said she would do her best to make me feel better. She definitely did! This woman has magical hands! I HIGHLY recommend her!

VERY displeased with the way they handle there business. If you get a membership here read with a magnify glass because if you want to cancel and have prepaid massages you will loose them and if you have gotten a new card and havent updated them on it they will keep charging you every month so when you do go to use your 1 massage you have already paid for you will have to pay for all the other months as well before you can use that and if you want to cancel you also have to pay for all the other months as well before they let you cancel. I will no longer be coming here and make sure to tell everyone as well not to at my dealership!

I signed up initially in Augusta Georgia as I am a travel nurse and bounce from place every 3-6 months. They were so good there that I decided to become a member for 6 months. I had a massage done in Lakeland and had my membership transferred there. My first massage in March I went with my boyfriend and was allowed to transfer a massage from my acct to him for an extra $10 fee. I already pay $60 a month for each massage and they roll over so I can use them wherever I want. Long story short, I called last Friday to schedule an appt for us and I told the receptionist that it was another appt where I was going to transfer a massage as I had accumulated 3 already. I later had to call and cancel the appt and knew I had a cancellation fee for doing so. The receptionist said she would take half of one of my massages and the other half (30 mins) for one entire session from the ones I had on my account.To my surprise, the next day I notice a $45 charge to my debit acct. I called and asked about the charge and was told they cancelled a whole session and took the $45 for the second appt (my bfs) being cancelled. When told the one session was supposed to cover both they said his session was going to cost $90 and he cancelled last min, which was not true. His session was going to cost $10 because we scheduled under my account with plans of him using one of my massages. Shortly after, Im told I cant transfer a massage until 6 months (SOMETHING I should have been told when I mentioned I was transferring initially when scheduling the appt by the receptionist). I asked to speak to the manager who was extremely rude over the phone. I def did not feel like a member at this establishment thats for sure. I ultimately let them take 2 of my session ($120 value) for my $45 back because I dont want to step foot back there again. Come Sept. Im giving a friend my last massage I have left there. Im never going back. Drove up there to fill out the cancellation of membership paperwork shortly after my conversation with Amy- the manager. Very rude and no sense of customer service acknowledging that her staff had made the mistake of not informing me of the non-transferrable massage. Its fine Ill take my business elsewhere.

This is the worst establishment ever. Don’t waste your money signing up they can’t get you in for massages so you end up paying and never getting to redeem them. They are under staffed but still signing up new members instead of taking care of current members. We were members for years and in the beginning it was fine but something has changed ( can’t be blamed on COVID) the office staff are young and not experienced the voicemails I have are comical to say the least. Management is not any better. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere else.

After calling and cancelling with this place they proceeded to not properly cancel the appointment and after calling to fix the miscommunication, they proceeded to act as if my husband was lying about cancelling because they didnt have record of it and he stated he did have a call history showing he called. They proceeded to say, instead of only charging 50% of the bill it will be a full 100% of the bill. She was very disrespectful and didnt handle the situation right at all. Stress free is not what this location gives. They are awful women who think stressing out their customers is funny since a few of the workers were leaving and smiling. If you want to go to a place that actually cared do not go to this place. Im a business owner myself and would never treat people how they treated my husband.

Last week I made an appointment at Massage Envy for my husband and I. My husbands birthday will be on March 29th and I wanted to surprise him. I called today March 25th 2019 to change the time of the appointment and was told by the receptionist that she did not see where I have an appointment, which made absolutely no sense to me. She apologized and made another appointment for Friday March 29th 2019 at 4 PM. about 9 PM I checked my credit card statement and noticed that $100 was charged on my credit card by Massage Envy, for a service that I did not receive. I called Massage Envy and I was told by the receptionist that they charged me for a no call no show. Now, can someone tell me what kind of insanity this is!! I am demanding a full refund of my $100.To say this was an oversight, would be putting it lightly. This person that made the first appointment, charged my credit card without my authorization. She implied the card was only being used to secure the appointment and would not be charged, since I made it very clear that I wanted to pay for the appointment with cash. Not only did this person charge my card fraudulently, she then deleted my reservation to cover up the crime. This employee needs to be reprimanded for this action, if not fired. Not only will I go in to see the manager in the morning, but I will cancel all future appointments with Massage Envy, and will never in good faith recommend this company to anyone. Now because of Massage Envys incompetence, they have ruined my husbands birthday surprise, what can one do with such little time remaining. I planned this event for weeks prior, and to think that because of a dishonest and incompetent employee, this day is totally ruined. This would have been my first experience using this company that turned out to be a very disappointing one. It would be interesting to see the generic response to this post as customary with all post that do not favor this company. This review earned Massage Envy a negative star, since the post only allow for positive ratings.

Currently, you have to wear a face mask through the entire massage and I get it, but it is very uncomfortable. I was literally gasping for air the entire massage and was not able to relax. Just before the shut down to quarantine, due to Covid-19, I got a massage and decided to get a ME membership. Literally, a week later they were closed due to quarantine. I would have cancelled my membership at that point, but you can only cancel your membership in person and no one was in office. For the two months of quarantine money was still being withdrawn from my account. When they had opened back up I decided that I would use the two massages I had acquired and cancel my membership because I did not know if things would have to shut down again. Those last two massages were agonizing. I had to do everything within my power not to hyperventilate. I appreciate their efforts to prevent the spread of covid-19, but I dont think face masks for the client through the massage session should be a thing. Yes when entering the building and waiting for the session to begin, but not during the massage. Maybe once things change I will give them another try.

Tia was great!!! I have neuropathy from chemo and she was as gentle as can be. She showed me things that can be done to help keep my blood flowing!! I will be returning to see her soon

Consumer beware.Stating that you should not show up for your appointment if you are not well..... they will charge you 50% of your service. I was with them since May 2019. They give great massages and facials. Destiny in the office was very rude... And management didn’t honor their word given to me.

I was getting massages there when I was at FSC. I ended up moving, but when I visit, I always make sure to schedule a visit in with Amber. She is the best there is and I always look forward to coming back to see her! And my friends at school I guess.. :)

Corporate policy is very unfriendly to its customers.1. You can only transfer 1 massage every six months to one person.2. If you freeze your membership, you cant use your existing massages (which youve already paid for). I have over 15 massages available to me. I should be allowed to use my massages, without having to continue accumulating them, by putting it on hold.3. If I cancel my membership. I lose my massages which I already paid for.Not as friendly as advertised.

As a person with extensive and complicated medical issues, its very hard to find that one massage therapist who can meet all my needs in one visit. Doug is very professional, knowledgeable and effective from start to finish. He possesses a unique medical background and knows exactly what you need to feel better. Message Envy is just what the Doctor should order instead of the plethora of medications theyd have you take.....The touch of a human hand has the healing powers no medication could begin to reach. I would love to talk about the massage experience, but unfortunately I never got it! Booked my appointment online AND received the phone call confirming the appointment, but there was no record of my appointment! The assistant manager seemed very unapologetic about the situation. I will not be returning somewhere that does not care about their customers!

Went to Massage Envy for a massage and ended up leaving with a broken back. The massage therapist used little to no oils, and massaged my back like he was annoyed. I didnt feel relaxed at all. If you want a great massage go to Hand & Stone.

During my pregnancy Tia gave me a wonderful massage. She really helped to alleviate the pressure in my hips and lower back. I highly recommend her!

I’ve had my membership for over a year. Christine has been wonderful working out the normal pains of my 64 year old body but really nailed it helping me cope with the pain after rotator cuff shoulder surgery.

Tia is seriously awesome! Ive been seeing her regularly for a couple of years and she has helped me with multiple sports related issues. Shes the best.

This was my third time in the last 2 years. The reception was so loud and obnoxious even from the tranquility room we could hear every word that was said and every door that was slammed. My massage felt like it was going well, but now 2 days later I cant move my head because my neck and shoulder were far too overstretched and think that they are injured so they are overcompensating and have completely locked down. What makes me even more upset is I asked for my lower back to be the main focus and she barely worked on it. Now Im (a) still in pain in my lower back and (b) Im in so much pain from my neck and shoulder that Im nauseous. I am going to have to miss class tomorrow as a result of this and as a grad student this is very upsetting as it affects my grades. Im so upset with this experience.

THey always make everything inconvenient! They charge you extra money to give your massage away. When you try to cancel your membership. They keep charging your wallet ridiculous!!! They are scammers! Go to a private vender! You will get more for your money and won’t get scammed!! .... after reading the rest of reviews. I see that I am not alone! My husband and I have had memberships here for several years. Once upon a time, I could call and get an appointment. Now, its virtually impossible unless we book multiple weeks in advance. Between us, we have probably forty or so massage credits accrued that we cant use in the couples room, as weve always enjoyed. So its a trap. If I pause our memberships so I stop getting charged $100+/month, we cant use our massages during that time. If we cancel, we have sixty days to use them all or give them away at $10 per credit, but cant give more than one away to any one person every six months. Ive asked ownership to contact me to help resolve the issues with no response, which makes the canned answer to every other 1-star google review posted here about wanting to work it out laughable. Theyve oversold memberships and arent adequately staffed and dont have a large enough facility for this market. Massage Envy has already settled one class action lawsuit over similar issues. Perhaps its time for another one. We seem to be gathering quite an impressive list of angry, ripped off people in the Lakeland market. Morgan & Morgan, anyone?? 👍🏻

Massage Envy Lakeland is great! Im a chronic pain patient that visits Massage Envy weekly to work through chronic muscle tightness. Oriana and Sarah R. have done a wonderful job of relieving pain everytime I visit! Anytime I call to request an appointment as soon as possible, the office staff are always accommodating! Rude management and customer service staff doesnt adequately explain payments due or membership plan (I dont know if this is a good or a bad thing, but management does stick by their employees and insist that the customer service staff DOES explain these things, even though management isnt their to witness it.). As a warning, be careful what you sign and READ EVERYTHING! They rush you through signing the contract so they can rush you back for your massage and then act surprised that you didnt have time to read it. If you are looking for a spa experience and dont mind flighty front desk staff and unprofessionalism across the board, then go right ahead and visit this Lakeland, Florida location. The only good thing I can say is that when I requested that my contract be cancelled because I was unhappy, they did so. The manager was extremely defensive and snippy about this. I would expect a more gracious attitude.

My husband and I did a couple’s massage tonight and weren’t very impressed.The biggest thing was that our massage therapists were unprofessional. They were whispering to each other 50% of the time and would get distracted and stop massaging us while they motioned to each other. At one point I opened my eyes and saw my husband’s massage therapist joking around making my massage therapist laugh. It made us feel uncomfortable and that they were talking about us while our eyes were closed. Extremely unprofessional. Probably won’t go back to this location.

Getting my membership is the best thing I have done in 30+ years of upper back pain. Nothing like a deep tissue massage to work out all the kinks.

I joined Massage Envy because of a car accident then had another one in February of this year a minor fender bender. One Massage Envy gave me a massage another would not till I saw a doctor. Well I wasnt going to pay a doctor to go tell me I needed to have a massage. Well its been three months so the location has let me come back.

A few months ago, my husband began to complain of lower back pain. After about a week of medication, the pain continued. I called to schedule my appointment yesterday and i cant wait to go!!!

The massage was ok.. even though i didnt get the type of massage that i requested. . i cant remember the young ladys name actually, . she was nice.. the staff was nice. the place is clean, but the therapist didnt listen to me and do what i asked for. maybe she was trying to impress me since it was my first time at this location so she was tryin to give me things that i didnt request and thought i would like what she did,, , i have no idea but i didnt like all of it . i specifically wrote on the paper what i wanted and also told her when i got in the room. . when i pay i want what i ask for. at any rate i came from missouri and i really miss them .especially my normal therapist. she gave me what i wanted and needed and requested the first time. and as time went on when i would walk in the room, she would just tell me what i wanted.. lol. she was superlative. wow i miss that young lady .. but im making this comment so management at this lakeland location will really know one important thing. you might want to tell the therapists to watch hygiene. the therapist that i had when i visited your location nd as i said i cant remember her name , and i probably wouldnt type it here anyway because im not trying to embarass anyone, but her breath was very bad. and it wasnt the type of breath that when you finish eating onions or something. i can tell it was just normal bad breath. and her name wouldnt be important anyway in this case.. this should apply to all therapists all over the world. i have a suggestion for the lakeland location, maybe you should put a bowl of mints in each room.. this is what they have in missouri actually and im sure in other places. but if they are going to breath on you, it should be refreshing and not stink. it was very annoying and uncomfortable and really ruined my relaxation.

I wasnt impressed. The therapist really hurt me. I am still hurting from her massage. She crammed her elbow into me. She was so rough. Came in late. And never offered me water. I told her I wanted medium pressure. She gave me more than hard. I couldnt wait until it was over. She asked me how I was doing and I said it hurts! She told me I was tight and kept on hurting me. I wont go back

Terrible experience. Therapist forgot biofreeze and opened door while my sheet was pulled down and others were walking by in the hallway. He was distracted and just pushed on my sore shoulder instead of massaging. He sat on a stool the whole time and just used one hand or elbow to press on my shoulder. I have a rash from the hot towel where he dug into my skin while the towel was on top of my shoulder. I had this massage 2 days sgo and I have bruises on top of my shoulder today. This man should be fired. I am contacting the corporate office and taking pitures my bruises.

My experience today with Phil was phenomenal. I came into my session very intensed in several areas and left out needing a Uber driver to take me home.

Now that they have new therapists hopefully could get appointments. The one star taken out is for lack of therapists for so long.
