Friendly welcoming staff. Atmosphere was nice and clean. Relaxation room has water and teas, coloring books, smoothing music, warm pillow. They have lockers and 1 shower. They offer robes and sandals. As a plus size woman the robe didnt fit well.My massage with Quincy was excellent. Great massage therapist. I recommend him.

My massage with Quincy was great. I really enjoyed it and he listens, neck is not tense 😬 anymore. 😊 Definitely returning with Quincy.

I recently booked a facial and it was amazing. Very relaxing and refreshing. Since my facial was amazing, I thought Id book myself a massage. As a new mom, I took the opportunity to treat myself for Mothers Day. I was planning to relax and unwind a little. However, my massage was far from relaxing. I booked the salt stone massage and it was the most aggressive back rub Ive ever had. There was no communication regarding pressure preference or comfortability of the temperature of the stones. I was unable to relax because the masseuse was rubbing my back and arms in such a quick manner. The head massage was a rough scratch through my head. The foot massage was a rough pull of my toes.Moving to my neck, there was no communication to see if the stones were at a good temperature. She put the hot stones on more sensitive parts of my skin and left it sitting there until I asked her to move it.When the massage was over, she threw an eye mask over my eyes and then continued to gather her belongings.It was NOT a relaxing experience for my first Mothers Day.

My husband and i were at Spavia last Saturday for a Couples massage. It was amazing. Matthew was my masseuse. He is awesome. Will definitely be going back

I went into Spavia today from a Groupon coupon. First time being there and I was impressed with everything I really enjoyed the business and everything. The moment I get into the bed, I’m unsure what his name was but an older gentlemen was massaging me and kept coughing really bad. I feel bad because he seems like a nice guy and everything but if you’re coughing that much you shouldn’t be working especially massaging. He was not even wearing a face mask to cover his face so he can be respectful of the people around him. Again, nice guy but really didn’t respect his distance when coughing or using a face mask.

2024: youll notice - nowhere on their site does it state their massage therapists are LICENSED.The person who worked on my body for 90 minutes Friday night was NOT fully trained and instead of resolving tension, created a Host of issues- including inflammation, stiff neck, stiff shoulders, pain in muscles in neck and back, pain in feet - despite my telling him several times he was causing pain (I finally ended the session). And yes, they still made me PAY for the session.Make sure your technician is LICENSED to perform massage THERAPY before handing over your physical health to this place.Just to be clear - to assuage the damage, I drank 64 oz. of water afterward, soaked in a warm epsom salt bath for 40 minutes, and took four ibuprofen. Its Sunday morning and my body is still inflamed and I woke from pain at 4:30 am. Not the outcome you want when youre trying to TAKE CARE of yourself2023: One hour deep tissue. Very deep. Epsom salt bath much needed afterward.

I purchased a Groupon, after numerous unanswered phone calls Groupon gave me the correct number for the business, I made an appointment and filled out some ridiculous forms, the relaxation room where you wait for the massage has this creepy horror film music playing, it sounded like there were multiple tracks of meditation music overlapping and an overwhelming smell of some fragrance, this place is not setup for men, the massage was basically a rub down and I was told anything deep tissue was an additional charge

Great experience from beginning to end. The ladies at the front desk are kind and do a fantastic job explaining everything about the different treatments and procedures available. Clean and relaxing atmosphere.

The receptionists were both very helpful and nice! I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience as I had neutral expectations going in. My massage therapist Angel did a great job and was very open to communication regarding the massage. I hope to make an appointment for a deep tissue massage next!My only complaint is the low water pressure in the womens changing room.

Very nice spa. I was beyond impressed with Joshua’s body knowledge. He could identify areas of discomfort and would release the tightness, knots or scar tissue. Great pain management massage therapist. Highly recommend seeing him.

What a wonderful respite so close to home. Their staff: warm and welcoming. I had a deep tissue massage (Jonah) and a facial (Sabrina)--impressive! Ready to schedule my next visit. I highly recommend spending some time at Spavia. You wont regret it!👏☺

They have great massage therapists and a very affordable monthly membership. Wish they had more openings, though. Its hard to schedule weekend and late weekday appointments.

Great experience with my services! Couples massage was awesome. However, they have extreme difficulties keeping appointments, and not enough staff to cover outages. Hard to rearrange schedules multiple times for the same appointments.

Poor communication. Bought the Groupon here they had me fill out a bunch of questions before the appointment. What kind of music etc. why ask me what I want if I’m not going to get it. I’ve been having a lot of neck pain and shoulder pain. I felt like it was just rubbed down and then it was over.The Groupon says it offers 4 options and I wanted the sports massage. I called they only said “hot stones or deep massage”. I can’t handle either. I told the therapist not too deep but ya know a little. Basically smooth strokes. When I told him to do more he would and then pull back…I was cold the whole time and I was only provided 1 sheet.Lastly I was leaving at 7… they close at 8pm… the doors were locked…I’m disappointed my neck still hurts and I’m out of money now. Definitely go somewhere else.

Exceeded my expectations. Today was my first time and they were absolutely wonderful. Front desk lady was so nice ,helpful and informative. My masseuse was Rodgers he was great. My facial was done by nahyee(Im sure thats spelled wrong ) but she was great. I will definitely be returning

My husband and I went for a couples massage and it was amazing! This was our first time here. Key and Athena were our masseuses, and they were both really attentive to our individual needs. Thank you for a great experience and for some relaxation. 😌From my initial call to when walked in, everyone was incredibly helpful! Such a great team and energy here!

I really liked Spavia. The music that they play in the Womens retreat is very relaxing. They offer a locker for your belongings and they provide clean bathrobes and shoes. Before your massage you can choose your music, your fragrance, if youd like to engage in conversation or not, and the type of massage youd like to receive. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because my masseuse put a wet towel on the back of my neck and upper back without asking which completely wet my hair and messed my hair up for my birthday which I had just gotten done. Besides that, it was great and everyone was friendly.

I flew into LA from Vegas for Mothers day weekend because my daughter had scheduled for us to have a Mothers Daughter massage schedule for 5:50 pm. After driving to Long Beach we received a call at 5pm from someone at the spa to say they only had one massage therapist there and could only do one of us. This is unacceptable not to mention unprofessional. My opinion they deserve grade F .

Had a 60 minute massage here with a groupon. The staff were very nice and pleasant but I was highly dissappointed with the massage. Let me also note - I’m a certified massage therapist so this is an informed review.I purchased the deep tissue upgrade because I am dealing with neck stiffness and pain - after a 60 minute massage there is very little change in my symptoms or pain relief. I told the therapist my main reason for the visit is my neck and told her what muscles I thought were contributing to the issue. She asked if I wanted upper body only or full body. I said “lets do glutes and above” as I wanted to leave plenty of time to focus on the neck.The massage consisted of 80% my back the pressure was firm but not particulary deep for the most part. It was more of a deep swedish, lots of gliding strokes with a deeper than average swedish pressure. I consider deep tissue massage to be a therapeutic modality in which the therapist addresses specific problem areas in depth - this did not happen. The lack of variety in techniques leads me to believe that the therapist was not very knowledgeable about the body and deep tissue massage.The glutes were worked for a few minutes each and the finally at the end I had my neck massaged for maybe 5 minutes and then the massage was over. My arms weren’t massaged at all.I’m giving 3 stars because the therapist and front desk staff were very nice personally and the ambience is decent. However, the massage itself was average at best. The therapist is likely a new therapist, it would have been fine as a swedish massage, but she’s not a knowledgeable deep tissue therapist.I’m dissappointed after paying $79 for a groupon, I would be even moreso if I had paid $119 full price.If you just want to relax its ok for that - if you want pain relief you’re probably better off looking elsewhere.

Asked to rescheduled my appointment as I am a nurse here on a contract. I’m unable to leave my job if patients still need assistance, despite my end time. I Requested to be reschedule the next day. NOT a cancellation. I was told the cancellation policy was to charge me 50% ($75) of the service fee. Poor service as this could have been an opportunity to have a weekly customer. To Massage envy I go...as they have been flexible with me in the past.

Poor communication with customers and not genuinely concern about customer satisfaction. Therapists are late to start massages. Poor communication among staff. Front desk and management have unclear practices and do not solve problems, instead pacify and use condescending words like “no worries” and “I understand” when the end result is not customer centered or satisfactory. In addition, the follow through is lacking from management.

Beware! Shady business practices! Incompetent manager!Beware before doing business with this establishment. I purchased a Groupon and when I called to make an appointment they demanded a credit card in case I didnt show up. I asked to speak to the manager. I believe her name is Kass/Cass. When I questioned this ridiculous policy (since they already have my money and could simply keep it if I dont show up), she told me there was no corporate email or corporate phone number that she could give me to speak to someone in charge after telling me that she essentially had no power. When I questioned the implausibility of there not being any contact information, she hung up on me. I actually heard the phone hang up. I couldnt believe it I called back several times and they would not answer. Shes an immature, incompetent, disrespectful, 5 year old! I cant believe these unscrupulous business practices are happening in my neighborhood and Im open to any ideas on how to help ensure they learn to treat people respectfully.

Found this place on Groupon and came for a facial and massage. My masseuse Azura and aesthetician Sabrina were awesome. And the location is great. Will definitely be coming again

Waste of time and money. Its like a massage envy wannabe, and thats not a good thing. The facial is barebones, I could do better at home. The therapists are there to do a job, not take care of the clients. Wish I hadnt spent my day off there, but Ill know better from now on.
