Gold Massage Pain Massage

Not a terrible experience but definitely not the best. These ladies do not play around! If you are looking to be sore after your appointment, then this is the place for you. My husband and I walked out in more pain and sore then going in. Have bruises on my shoulder, bottom and arms. They are very rough. I asked for her to ease up on the pressure and she would for a little but then go back to being rough. Go at your own risk.

Ive recieved 2 massages from Jamie. And all I can say is hands down the best massages I have ever recieved. If ur looking for the strongest hands she is it. If u want gentle and relaxing she is it. I cant say enough about her energy and her hands. HER ABILITY TO HEAL IS BEYOND AMAZING! Cant say enough great things!! Ill be coming back often!

May is RUDE… I told her the pressure was too much and she said “oh my gosh” multiple times. She also left my door open during the massage and kept running in and out while screaming in another language. Her technique was sloppy and all together too rough. For the majority of the massage she used her elbow. I will not be back. She also had the nerve to ask me WHY I did not tip her. Very unprofessional establishment. Worse message I’ve ever had. I left in more pain than when I walked in.

We did a couples massage and all I could think about was I hope my wife isnt in this much pain - nope. Brutal pressure levels, I said something six times and they just kept saying relax. I may have grown an inch from how much the were pushing on all my ligaments and Im pretty sure they massaged my front THROUGH my back. Both our jaws hurt from being smashed into the table for an hour. My wifes masseuse took a break to answer the door and all I could think was how lucky she was. She should have bolted for the door and saved herself. Lastly, I got yelled at for a small tip. First, and last time for us.

Mae spent an hour working on muscles and tense knots that I didnt know existed in my back. She was kind and helpful and I will definitely go back to Gold Massage and ask for Mae. The place was very clean as well. There were types of massages to choose from, but I just needed a basic work over which she definitely provided. She was very strong and had firm pressure. Only once I asked her to be more gentle.

I went to this place because I was sore from work. Im someone who likes a hard massage and can handle almost anything. Right at the start I was in so much pain and the therapist laughed at me and went harder and said I had so many knots. I begged her to soften up and every time I would wince in pain she went harder and laughed. At one point I almost rolled of the table to get away. The next day my entire body is black and blue and I am in even more pain then when I started. 10/10 would not recommend ever again.

This was my 2nd time. Mae is very nice and listened to my request. I will return.

First of all, for every person leaving a 1 star review and complaining about how much it hurt, how you were screaming, how your masseuse used too much pressure, etc. Ive got news for you.. a good, deep tissue massage DOES hurt a little. If I DONT hurt after my massage, Im upset. Why? All the knots and kinks in your muscles, muscles that havent been touched in weeks, months or even years, need to be manipulated, kneaded and thoroughly worked out. Anyone can give you a back rub. These girls are highly trained experts...professionals who know exactly what theyre doing. If you tell them theyre using too much pressure, they back off and go more gentle. I know this from experience. My first, but surely not my last, massage at this business, I let May, the owner and best masseuse Ive ever encountered, know she was using a little too much pressure on a surgical incision site, and she immediately adjusted the amount of pressure. May is AWESOME! Sweet, professional,and polite, my comfort seemed a priority to her. Ive probably had several dozen massages in my life due to musculoskeletal issues and this was hands down in the top 3. Probably the BEST!!! She was gentle yet still able to give a deep down, deep tissue massage. I left feeling refreshed, my body new, and my musculature thoroughly reconditioned. I highly recommend this place and recommend the full 90 minute option. I will definitely be going back ! Gold Massage is simply the Gold Standard of massage salons!!!Just got another massage today and May was Fantastic! Highly recommend. 5 STARS!!

I called and was booked same day. I have only had one professional massage before, and it was nothing like what I experienced today. I didn’t request a certain massage, but I’m pretty sure Mae did a deep tissue massage. I had so many knots in my back, it was needed! It was intense in a good way. I felt so good leaving today. I will be back next weekend! Thank you.

Horrible massage from the so called manager. Multiple bruises on the back and glutes. I told her to stop and that I was in pain multiple times. She held me down and said, I have to get knot. You have many knots. I was going in and out from thepain and finally had to stand up and tell her we were done. Immediately went home, and there were so many bruises. I cant even lie down because it hurts so bad. There is a huge language barrier. And no does NOT mean no to them. Itmeans, push harder and giggle. I was scream crying afterwards from the trauma of constantly being in excruciating pain. Ive had at least 2 massages a year the past 15 years. I like the feel good pain, not this kind of pain. And I told her at least 20 times to let off the pressure and stop. Andshe held me down each time giggling and saying, Its going to hurt first couple times

You can tell that the owner takes pride in her work. The place is clean and the massage is great if you are seriously looking for a deep tissue style massage

I used to come to this massage place all the time. The last time I went there was a bad experience. She was talking on the phone while she was doing my massage and not paying attention to the massage. At the end I gave her a four dollar tip since the experience wasn’t good and got mad that i didn’t give her more. I ask for her name and she ignored me and started talking to other customers and kept telling me have a good day when I would ask for her name. Will never go again

What an awesome little massage place in Madison! May is so so talented. Shes a true healer. She feels exactly where all of the inflammation, tension and pain is. Without you telling her. She does the Real deep tissue.Every time I leave her place I feel like Ive gained years back into my life. My energy levels are higher and my body feels amazing.Thank you May!

Purchased a 60 minute Massage and was not an enjoyable experience. I asked for a light/ swedish style and even requested she ease up on the pressure during, I still ended up with bruising under both arms and was sore for several days. (I was hydrated pre and post massage.)

Therapists were talking to each other the entire massage. Lady answered the phone for other appointments DURING my massage. She walked out a few times for other customers. Did not get the full 60 mins paid for. THEN had the audacity to ask for a larger tip!!! Unbelievable! I did give 2 stars instead of 1 because massage was mediocre.

I recommended to visit her for my severe back and hip pain. I allowed Mae to work with me and oh my goodness! Words cannot express her talent and skills of knowing just where and how to massage. She even recommended services that would help and it has been a blessing. Always professional and makes me feel completely comfortable. I’ll continue to be a customer! 🙂

Finally! A massage place that gives a REAL deep massage. It is clear that their goal is to get the knots out, and that’s what I’ve been looking for. I don’t want a massage that “feels good” - I want a massage that helps return my muscle fibers to their natural state. Pain never felt so good!

I had a very professional massage here. I have a lot of nodules on my shoulders. They helped me open up the nodules very well. When I got home, I slept very relaxed at night. Highly recommend this massage shop, I will go back soon

Went to have massage ask for her to massage soft keep doing it hard I have bruises on my neck & back I will never go there again then as leaving ask for tip as if owed them the worst
