This place right here is something special. The staff is very humble and kind, not like any other bar out there. You are taken care of; everyone looks out for each other. It’s not just a bar, it’s something more. 🤔 I dont know, give me some time to come up with something. Anyway, in my experience, I feel safer here than at any other bar/nightclub. If you do decide to come out, and if you see a guy with glasses going around taking pictures, tell him Black Owl sent you. Then, get your picture taken and join me. Cowboy/cowgirl up You won’t regret it. If you do, I will personally give you the recipe for my homemade sweet tea. 😂🫡 not a alcoholic just here for a good time meeting new people is the way of life 🙏🫶🏻
Great local country bar. Excellent stage lighting and sound set up. Aaron Watson sounded much better here than when I saw him at a similar size bar in CA years ago. The staff was great and managed the acts and the crowd well. Air Conditioning was flowing good too. The overall layout of this club is great because there are roll up doors that seperate the general admission crowd from the dance floors. They could use a few more bar tenders when it get busy but still not bad.
I met up with my date Sandy approx 10 years ago at D&D on a Sat night for dance lessons. It was by far the best date ever, unfortunately, our last. We both had things going on in our lives at the time and I made the worst decision of my life and started seeing someone else and lost my soul mate in the process. Ive been searching for you Sandy and hope to find you some day. Your dancer Gil.
My credit card had 2 other unknown tab charges applied to my credit card, the night we went dancing. I was unable to get the denim & diamond club to remove the charges. I had to go thru my credit card company to finally get the charges removed.Denim and Diamond had no phone number to report the problem. You have no way of knowing this problem until you check your credit card days later.
I love this place. Had a lot of fun dancing and drinking. The price of drinks were hardly anything compared to most places, they hosted a live concert and even with it being extremely busy they were fast to accommodate everybody. Will definitely comeback for another event or just to learn to dance.
Denim and Diamonds isn’t a bad bar but the crowd can be filled with douches and people with no spacial awareness at all. Especially when the older crowd is in and dancing they, because they love to two step around the entire dance floor and give you dirty looks if they bump into you.The bartenders are always amazing and the bouncers aren’t ego freaks and always kind to you.
Went to this place tonight because I love country music and I love line dancing. People told me about this place and that I should check it out. So I made the 40 minute trip there ready to do some dancing! Unfortunately if you like to line dance this is NOT the place for you. On their website they even have dance lessons listed from 6:30 till 7:30. What the website fails to tell you is that it’s couple dance lessons ONLY. They do not to line dance lessons at all. Whaaat?? :-/ How are you a country bar and you don’t do line dance lessons. Major disappointment. We don’t all want to do couples dances. Some of us come alone and like to line dance. Staff told us they do do line dancing when they play the songs for line dancing, so apparently you just have to know the dances because they don’t do lessons to teach you. We sat there for 2 1/2 hours and not one single line dance happened. Cmon denim and diamonds! Y’all need to incorporate more line dancing in the mix. Starting with lessons. That id share this to save people the trip if you’re planning on going there to line dance.
Old lady working the front desk to habe people pay the cover isnt kind at all , I asked price and she told me and pointed at the door to leave because I asked a simple question. Ill never go back . if you dont like your job find a new one just like I found a new place to take my money without sassy remarks.. never will be back ever again get a new job if you cant handle simple questions without getting all sassy . waste of time and money.
A bar for those who want to do one line dance listen to 8 songs not country related then another 2 line dances, didn’t even have popular line dances in the list of songs… the maverick is way better. Also allows drinks on floor- doesn’t clean the spill up when it occurs, and allows customers to jump on tables and speakers… very different experience- won’t be coming back and don’t recommend.
Came here because there was a free dance lesson from 6:30-7:30pm on a Wednesday night. The instructor taught us how to East Coast Swing. He was very good at what he was doing and interactive with the class. The dance floor was right in the middle of the place with bars on both sides. Im not sure if they serve food, but the drinks are cheap and the service is great! Would recommend coming to this country dance bar if you love free dance lessons and Southern feels! Dance lessons are offered every Wednesday and Saturday. People of all ages were present, must be over 21 though.
First I wanna say I love Denim and Diamonds started coming here in January and I think it’s got a good vibe. However lately, I feel like music mix has been like 80% swing dance songs, 10% club music, and 10% line dancing. Me and my friends mainly go to line dance and lately it’s been going like this: we get 2 line dances followed by 2 old 2000’s club songs, and then for the next 30 minutes it’ll be swing dancing songs. Because of this if you don’t come at like 7 PM and stay till 2 AM chances are you’ll miss 50% of the line dances because they are played so infrequently. I wish they would atleast make it 50/50 so everyone could have a good time and not just the swing dancers. On top of that, even when there’s a line dance the swing dancers go onto the floor and continuously run into people who are trying to line dance during the 10 minutes an hour that is allocated for line dancing. I just really hope Denim & Diamonds reads this and considers changing because I’ve heard this same sentiment from everyone I know and also in the reviews below mine. Everyone is tired of driving 30-40 minutes to stand around 80% of the night
Absolutely love this place. Very large and great atmosphere. Staff is super friendly. You also cant be $1 drinks for men and .50 cent drinks for women which includes bottled beer and well drinks.Lots of genuine people, most of which are all in good shape and none of the snobby b***** people you find in Scottsdale and Tempe.Trust me, even if you dont like country music you will find this place amazing! I write very honest reviews and if you agree with this, please hit the like button!
This was my first time going here and I have to say... hands down I will be back again very soon!!! First off, the place is HUGE! The bartenders were friendly, fast, and remembered what I was drinking really well. Plus she was CUTE as ever (Bonus)! Music was a great mix of old, new, and even some from other genres, DJ even played one of my favorite when I asked. I dont know how to do any of dances, and I didnt try lolBut it was great to watch everyone dancing and having a good time. Everyone was cool, friendly, respectful, and having a good time. Cant wait to go back there!
Great place!!! Variety of age groups. Dance floor surrounded by seating and two long bars on each side of the dance floor. Great service from the bar! Then if youre there for a concert and large roll up door opens to a whole separate area that includes a stage for the band and another bar.
When someone is too drunk to serve they should be to drunk to serve. Even when telling the bar staff your partner is too drunk they’ll still serve them drinks behind your back. I loved this bar until this moment happened I’m absolutely disgusted.
I got scolded and yelled at by one of the people who work at this bar this man was very threatening. It almost seemed like he wanted to start a fight with my friend. I Have a friend who is my designated driver. He does not have a car. He will ride his bike there and drive my car home to my house. This guy accused us of getting him free soda. And basically told us that he was going to 86 us for this. I did not realize they were so hard up for money to get this upset over soda. I dont take my card to the bar and drive home drunk and Im not going to tell my friend you go and ride your bike and Ill drive my car home while Im drunk.Do you guys condone drunk driving? Youll get more upset over somebody drinking soda pop free then your patrons leaving the bar drunk and driving their car!!!
Such a good atmosphere!! If you are looking for a great night of dancing this is THE SPOT. Don’t worry if you don’t have any experience — people here are super friendly. Highly recommend!!!
The dancers here are pretty good and really nice, which is why I’m giving 3 stars. Unfortunately, other people ruin the experience. This place could greatly benefit from a bigger dance floor. I’ve never had issues running into people dancing before, but last night I had a grown man hit me so hard with all his body weight while drunkenly dancing near me that I fell backwards. I also have bruises on my feet from people stepping on my feet. The dance floor has a hole in it too. I’m here to dance, not drink or anything else, so I won’t be back.
I really didnt want to leave a 1 star. But my family and I were there to see a show. The starting times were all different.. we were there by 6 to wait in line..on line said show started at 7, tickets said 8, Thomas Mac started at 9 and we never got to see Cooper Alan cause by that time, we were so annoyed, we left. Now I do realize shows can be unpredictable by a few minutes here or there, but 2 hours? So I feel we wasted $15 per person. I feel there was poor planning
Pro: I can not say enough good things about this place! Love the environment, people, music, etc. Highly recommend for people wanting to learn how to dance country. They have so many line dances and on Wednesdays they teach you how to dance at 6-7:30pm.Con: The alcohol prices are a little steep for my taste so I usually pre game so I dont break the bank here. And the location sucks. There is nothing around here.If you do ever get hungry, there is a cute taco truck right outside Denim & Diamonds around 8pm. But that is all you will find for miles.I added pictures of me and my girls here on a Wednesday, imagine the weekend?!IG: @destiny_dimplez_
Angelique was amazing! Best bartender who took care of us and gave us full attention when it was needed. Definitely gonna be coming back because of her and a shout out to all the staff for being so welcoming and fueling the fun!
Definitely fun environment to learn lots of dances. And have a few beers
How about a public dance club that is not staged! Just wanted to go out as a group and have a good time but it was all line dances and nor public friendly l.
This place is so much fun! I hadnt been in like 10 years and it was even better than it use to be.
False advertising for concerts. They don’t actually start at the time your ticket states. That’s when the doors open don’t expect to see the headliner until 2 - 2 1/2 hours after the start time on your ticket. We had been standing for over 3 hours because we got there early to get in before the 8 pm start time and they wouldn’t let anyone in until 8 pm.
I didn’t realize this was a cash only business and got turned away at the door for not having one dollar I asked if there’s anyway I can use Apple Pay and was told no. That’s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard of.
Payton is the bomb! Love this place, the only thing is the music is often too loud, and I hear the same complaint from a lot of my friends too.
Bartenders were great and super nice, prices were good, I just wish they played more line dance songs. The dj plays 30 or so minutes of generic country music for country swing dancers before playing only one or two line dance songs. This place was recommended to me for line dancing, so I was disappointed to only get to dance to 6 songs in the almost 4 hours I was there
I dont drink, but I enjoy dancing here. This place probably has one of the largest variety of country songs on their playlist. They have country songs both old and new. Whats unfortunate, however, is you are not allowed to bring in your own water bottles or anything like that and you sometimes have to wait a long time before someone finally gives you water at the bar.
Great venue! I’m glad I came back and tried this place again. I went the last two Wednesday’s and they are definitely playing more line dancing music then they use to compared to a few months back when it was mostly couples country swing. I enjoy both couples country swing and individual line dancing and there were other people there that I talked with who also enjoy more of the line dancing mixed in. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis.
Love how there is plenty of parking at this place, and it does get packed! Wow- even on a weekday night, there was a lot of people. Checking in was pretty easy- the front door guy was so nice and welcoming- kudos to him. Then, pay $5 at the door. After that, you approach the bar. There is seating around the bar, standalone tables, and also booths. The place was huge!At the far end, they have the stage, and on the left hand wall there are the restrooms- more than enough stalls so that there isnt an issue with lines. They played pretty good music in my opinion and everyone there was friendly to dance with. Some of them were great dancers!
This was my first experience at a country bar before after my boyfriend suggested we visit with his friends. It was interesting to say the least. The music is a mix of classic American hits and new released music so youll hear some Megan the Stallion but no Bad Bunny (at least not the night I was there). There are two bar areas, plenty of places to sit and a decently large dance floor.
Visited this place the other night with some friends as a first time and let me jus say I will never be returning. Sign says 50c beers but ended up paying 6 dollars and it wasn’t even cold. The staff was even worse, the women (bartenders) are so rude when u try to ask them for any guidance around
02/10/22 7:30pm.50 beer specials, but every other beer is $5.95. Basically, Im buying someones beer for them. My beer wasnt cold. There is no stage for a live band. Only music videos on the TVs.Im not impressed. This place has potential.
Definitely a fun club! The only thing keeping it from being 5 stars is that you can only order drinks from the same bartender if you have a tab open, so if your bartender is backed up, and theres an available bartender 5 away, you still have to wait in line for your bartender. Seems silly to me... Im sure theres a more efficient way to manage it.
The prices to me are a little high, but I have not been to a bar in years. The crowd is of all ages and the music is good. I liked the fact the DJ mixed it up by throwing a popular R&B song in. Dance floor is big enough that you dont bump into others while dancing. I had a great time there for my 45th birthday in January.
Lots of people across a wide age range. Old and new music. Lots of twirling and line dancing. Two steppers seemed to struggle to find room. The place is huge, but not a lot of seating, get there early if you want a table.
Never been there. 1st and last time. Planned on meeting friends there. Called and canceled the plan. Huge line for a drink, no welcoming staff. Ridiculous, no thank you. Taking my group elsewhere. If I could give a 0 rating I would.
Drinks are over priced and watered down. My friend and I were drinking shots, dancing and having a great time then when we tabbed out it was over $100 for 8 drinks and we were not even buzzed. They advertised drink specials but none of the bartenders could tell us what they were. Very unimpressed.
A very popular place especially on the weekends! Check out their drink specials on their website for the Ladies and the Guys! Wednesdays are a ladies night, its very crowded and on Friday and Saturday night it gets Super PACKED!Denim & Diamonds plays majority country music and during the break plays high energy club music! The majority of the people are young the older crowd seems to leave by 10:00 p.m. Its well worth your time if you love to dance!
We used to LOVE place and came here very often. Often enough to know staff by name.We stopped going for a few reasons... one being the volume. For whatever reason, they BLAST the music. I mean, to the point where regular goers compare ear plugs with each other for latest versions. You cant actually talk to anyone. Its gets INSANELY crowded on a Saturday night, you can find tables or order drinks, you can even dance because you are literally shoulder to shoulder with people. Not maybe Im just showing my age 😆
Didnt see any bar food being eaten. Didnt even see a kitchen.. ????
Great atmosphere great service you cannot go wrong if your trying to have a good time here!
This place is dope!Music was on point, the women were well fed😁, the atmosphere was hella fun. Good sized saw dusted floor, a large random game area, live music, different themes weekly. I dont drink so I dont know about any specials or if they sell food. Heck, I dont even know where the bathrooms are because I walked around the floor then went straight on and stayed there. Definitely coming back
The place is okay, and I feel like with the amount of space they have. They can make the dance floor bigger. Drinks are cheap, which is always nice. Music selection was good as well.
They had drinks for .50 on select drinks. It started off little slow, but got busy by 8 pm. Has a large dance floor with with big screen media and plays hit country songs by known singers. Has 2 large bars.
Ciara is the best, fastest bartender I have ever seen. No matter how busy she is, she takes care of every customer swiftly and with a beautiful smile!! Denim and Diamonds and their customers are lucky to have her!!
Ripped off on ladies night. Signs everywhere say .50 cent drinks until 10pm and so we ordered drinks that fall into what is allowed to be .50 cents. I didn’t order any drinks after 10pm and when I closed my tab out at 11pm they bartender handed me a receipt that charged me 5.50 for each drink. I asked why if it was .50 cent drinks until 10 and she said it was because it was passed 11… I told her no, I didn’t order any drinks passed 11… and she said her pricing changed on her POS system and that there was no way for her to change it. I was dumbfounded… that is horrible advertising. None of their advertisements say anything about having to close your tan before 10pm as well … there’s NOT even fine print…
It is definately fun and a good time! Love Wed night 50 cent drinks. Sometimes a little too crowded for my taste.
Bouncer are extremely strict cops wait outside worst honky Tonk/ bar/club I have been to has gotten worse over the years. Don’t go if u wanna have a good time. Champs is much better. Older bouncer that wears the black cowboy hat is extremely racist
Never fails with this place. Never aloud in. I wore a tank top tonight. My friend and I werent aloud in. Saw multiple people wearing tanks . The security guard said well they served. I said so did I 18 yrs ago. He didnt care . Ive never felt so alienated in my life.
Great for a good variety of dancing and better dancers than most places in the valley. The dance floor is great! On a given night, the vibe can either be great or a bit sketch, lol, but I love going on Wednesdays and Saturdays
Me and my wife always have a blast when we go out even though we can’t break the midnight marker haha but the staff is great and the music is great. I will say it’s the best country bar out here today considering you have room to dance, get great special drinks and meet new people every time we go out. Thank you Kristine and your staff.
Im not sure exactly when this place changed from a country bar to a showroom for professional country dancers but it has. If you take lessons and know all the steps to twirl and fling your partner to ohhhs and ahhhs, this is the place for you. But if youre a couple of single girls or guys looking for a partner... unless youre a professional dancer, this wont be the place to ask a stranger for a dance or to accept one.
I was born and raised a country girl and I love to dance, drink beer and hang out with my friends. D&D only lets 2 of these things happen the dance floor is awesome the drink specials are amazing but I have to rate it a 3 for the fact the only spot you can hang out and talk to friends is in the dingy little smoking area with no seating. I have been to many bars and dance clubs and I find the music is NEVER that loud. We had 13 people there last Friday and we all decided to leave and go drink in my garage so we could at least talk to each other and not yell. I would suggest turn the music down a couple notches or create some sort of outside area where people can still drink, smoke hear the music and be able to hang out comfortably. :)
A hoot and a holler for sure! Best time weve had in a long while. Great music, fun dancing, and reasonable drinks. And plenty of people watching!
Fun if you like country music. Huge huge space, good for large parties, bachelor parties and other get togethers. Huge dance floor and two full size bars. They also have a separate room in the back where they offer live music. They get super busy! Bar tenders do a really good job making sure everyone is taken care of considering the volume of people they serve. Small outdoor patio for smokers.
Im not much of a country music person personally, but they still play some good music from other generas as well. But on a whole, an Awesome place to get together with friends and night of the week. The nicest part is that there are free water and sodas all night for designated drivers if your the DD for the night.
Went there with my little sister for the first time on a Wednesday night. It was ladies night so we got in free, no cover. Drinks were cheap too. We went out mainly to dance and thats what we got! Awesome time with people who actually do country dancing! Will be back again on a Saturday to see what its like. If you are looking for a good spot to country dance, this is your spot. Ladies even if youre alone youre sure to find at least one dance partner.
It’s an excellent, fun place. People of all ages and backgrounds frequent this place. You can’t beat 50 cent beers either. It’s definitely a fun place considering. Cowboy boots are pretty much a requirement to get through the front entrance.
Denim & Diamonds is pure good fun! Great atmosphere and fine country vibe. We always have a great time.
Cheap drinks and fun to go country swing dancing. However the staff can use some adjustment. The bouncers were rude to myethnic male friends and tried charging cover at 7:30 when its suppose to be free until 8.
Fun place to dance and I love the drink specials . They have dance lessons on Saturdays. When you start a tab make sure to return to the same bar tender. 4 stars are because the bar gets so busy sometimes
Filing fraud on them. Im a regular and theyve been making extra charges on my card before and after closing out my tab in small amounts. Im extremely furious and they do not answer phone calls. Beware.
Was there for a dance lesson, beer prices were good. Nice sized dance floor. No cover if you are early. Great drink specials. Always people dancing, playing mainly country music.
They advertise free dance lessons but charge $7.00 to get in for the guys. Come on! How is that free? Plus it’s discriminatory against the guys. We need guys taking lessons so we can all enjoy the experience. Do your cover charge after the lessons.
The door man is completely out of control I show up after a 14hr shift to be told Im already to under the influence even tho I came here straight from work. Apparently the problem was I accidentally handed my ID to the police officer instead of the door man so he has be standing backwards againt the rope line so after I get my Id back i turned around to go inside and bumped into the rope right behind me and was told I couldnt come in
Dance lessons are always amazing!
Great place and awesome atmosphere! It felt incredible to get out after two years of Covid. Forgot what it was like to have fun with other humans.
If youre looking for a great place to get your (country) dance on, look no further! Excellent dancing with a nice large dance floor, and cheap drinks to boot. Put on your denim and your cowgirl boots and you can boogey all night without any risk of breaking the bank, and with ready access to skilled dance partners.Dont expect the shiniest, snazziest joint, but then again you come here for the dancing (and dollar drinks), not the digs.
Awesome Place, they have free lessons on certain days, read on the website. Bartenders are sweet! They help you out as fast as they can. Music is awesome as well! 10/10
Dancing...inexpensive drinks and the best place to go for a night out in Mesa on a Wednesday or Saturday. Free dance lessons every Wednesday and Saturday starting at 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Do it...its a blast!Con...the area is not the best and if you dont like smoking, sometimes the doors are open and it comes in. All in all, we enjoy it!
Country at its finest! Denim and Diamonds is a great place hear good ol country music - both new hits and old classics. The dance floor is huge and is always filled with great dancers. However, it isnt super intimidating if youre still learning how to two-step. Plus they also provide some slow-motion, step-by-step dance lessons on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Get there early on Saturdays for cheap drinks from 8 - 10. Cant say enough about this place. This is the country bar Ive been looking for!
Best place to dance in the valley, awesome drink prices, and just an all around fantastic set up! Me and my husband have been going there for a few years now and have always been impressed. I highly recommend Denim & Diamonds if you are looking for an awesome place to dance and/or just hang out.
For a country bar there was a lot of hip hop played. Also, they had some very strange people there who made me and my girlfriend very uncomfortable. All in all we stayed about 15 minutes and then left. Definitely not worth the 11 dollar cover charge.
My Fiancé and I have danced here countless of times. It is definitely worth the 45 minute drive from Scottsdale as it is the only place in the valley that sticks with the country theme. The dance floor is what sets this place apart as well as it is blocked off for dancers only. Love not having to bump into stationary drunks on the dance floor. See y’all soon!
Honestly, its a great place, but the dance floor is waayyyyy toooo smaaallll for the amnt of people who go dancing. The dance floor needs to be at least another 6ft in each direction.
Last night was the third time I have been there. There is usually a mixed crowd. Although a larger percentage appears to be young 20 somethings. There are two bar areas. One in the front right as you walk in. The other is towards the back, near the bathrooms. There are bathrooms on the left and right sides of the building. There are also two boxing game machines to test your testosterone (punching power). My boyfriends son and his friends are mma fighters. So, they had fun with it. Guys!Music is mostly country with some pop and rap mixed in. I really dont get the line dancing to rap and hip hop though. Kind of funny to me. Im not a follower. So, I tend to just avoid the line dancing part, which appears to be mostly a bunch of people trying to watch and keep up with a few who actually know the steps. Entertaining to crowd watch. Sometimes you see the drunks falling over or trying to get a number. Hilarious.
So fun!! DJ last night (wed) is really good and was able to sneak in a song request for me even tho he had three songs left that were requests! Good guy!! Great dance floor.
This was a fun place to relax and try a little dancing. Great drink specials and really friendly people. I will definitely go back!
Always too hot, too loud and people are too drunk! The dance floor constantly has beer and glass all over it. No one monitors the dance floor so I guess youre allowed to take drinks onto it. The dj rarely plays any actual country songs. However, if you like pop in your country this is the place for you!
Staff are jerks. I ordered 2 shots and I guess didn’t grab them quick enough so the bartender threw them out. He refused to replace them or refund me. I’ll certainly never be back. Atmosphere was overall bad. At least the dance floor was popping though.
Fun place to meet and dance with friends. Bartenders are friendly. Dan is awesome in teaching the dance lessons.
Good hotdogs outside Wednesday night after 11. Decent drink prices early too. Country bar with some mix. Only two groups go here... To get railed and a train run it to country dance. About it
Dont go there if you want to 2 step to danceable C/W music because they play only about 10% of that kind of music. After 10 PM it is hip/hop and line dancing music, and very, very loud. They allow drinks on the dance floor so spills pose a danger of falling. Cheap drink prices, so DWIs are possible, so bring a designated driver. A very good meat market with many ladies dressing like they are going to a picnic, i.e. shorts and a sun top. Most guys dont dress to impress either. They should change their name to Hip/Hop Haven because they are definitely not a country music kind of place. So sad.
This place just ripped me off tonight. It was 1 dollar beers, 50 cent drinks and 6 dollar shots. I had 7 beers (Coors Light), 5 Vodka Green Tea shots, 1 Vodka shot, and 1 Cranberry and Vodka drink. With simple math this is 43.5, not 65 dollars that they charged me. Tried to debate the bill the bill, they would not listen to me and would not provide a itemized receipt and kicked me out of the bar for challenging them on the bill. I talked to a older gentleman and older lady. If I am a manger or owner I would advice chatting with me before I debate this bill with my credit card company. 43.5 plus tax is better than nothing....
I went last for for the first time with two of my girl friends. I will never be back. The first thing that rubbed me the wrong way was one of the servers who was walking around with a tray of shots. I had been places before that did those for a $1 and I asked my friend if they were dollar shots. She went up to the server to see how much they were. The server sneared at my friend and stated these are between $3-$6 a piece, we would NEVER EVER sell them for a $1. It was just a question and she was incredibly rude. They had 50¢ drinks. I bought me and my two friends a round and when I went to pay with my debit card she told me there was a $6 minimum, even though my friend had used her card for a $5 purchase from a different bartender. I didnt have cash so I had to open a tab. The bartender takes my card and just never comes back with it. I had never been to a place that physically holds my card for a tab, I understand different palces have a different policies but I would have gone to the little atm and pulled cash out had I known. At this point, I dont know where my card is and I have to find someone else to ask. I asked a woman smiled at me and stated well what would we do if you walked off? I wasnt comfortable with them holding my card in the least so I asked for two shots and to close my tab. It takes forever and when she brought my card, it was blue like mine, but it wasnt mine. I feel scared due to the fact what if someone else has my card. I let the bartender know and it takes forever, but she eventually brings me my card. This morning I wake up to find that Ive been charged twice for those drinks. Im furious. Not only where the employees incrediblly rude to my friends and I, but I was also double charged for drinks that I didnt even want. Super frustrating, I will absolutely never go back. Definitely check your bank account after using your card here.
Never had a problem they have been great but when I needed to get someone home I had to pay 25 dollars to thier designated driver so I paid it.... I should have called a taxi. The security told me the bar is not responsible which I do agree but with other bars helping out kind of made me upset I had to pay the money.... friend got home safe so I guess well worth it.
Honestly a pretty fun bar. With that said, make sure you only pay cash. I was charged $55 for a $15 tab. When I brought this to the bartenders attention she made it very clear that it was not a mistake and she had no intention of correcting it.
Terrible place. Do not go here expecting to be treated decently by re staff.I was part of a large group of people (25+} meeting here tonight. Must of us made it here before the 8pm cover but I arrived at 8:01, at the tail end of my group. I waited a minute for the two people in front of me to get inside and the doorman asked me for $6.00. it was 8:02.I went to Toby Keiths, with about five of my friends, where we spent $250 having a great time.
I come here all the time to dance, but early so I dont lose a toenail. The floor gets rowdy after 9pm. Be sure to wear closed toe dance shoes. Dance with caution.
So went up to this place for the first time we don’t live in the mesa area, one of our friends recommended and it was an interesting experience, drinks were cheep, music was good but my boyfriend was wearing a flannel and had a tank top underneath because it’s hot and took off the flannel- and we had this one bouncer kept follow us around and he came up to my boyfriend and told him he had to wear sleeves or he would have to kick him out and that’s fine if it’s part of the dress code but it wasn’t posted anywhere and we just felt super uncomfortable with the bouncer following us - we told a waitress about what happened and she was confused about the sleeve rule and said she wasn’t sure what the guy was talking about she made our night much betterIn conclusion I don’t think it’s fair to have a dress code only for men and not or women - women can wear whatever they want no matter what or how short but men have to wear sleeves I just think the dress code should be posted either on the website or at the door before you walk in
Fun place all around, I have not had a bad time yet. Honky tonk vibe with great drink prices and dance lessons on Saturdays which were a blast.
Denim & Diamonds is NOT a true country bar. A real country bar would not play HIP HOP! We like to country dance but it is really bad when all you guys play is the new country that sucks to dance to and hip hop. You can predict what songs are coming on next! What about older country that has good rhythm and you can actually dance to. You guys are drawing the wrong crowd, you cant mix country and hip hop. And that was apparent with Saturday nights fight between the gang banger and the black guy! WE WONT BE GOING TO YOUR BAR ANY MORE! Arizona needs a REAL country bar, which you are not!
Ton of fun with great music, wish the space available was larger, it gets so crowded its hard to dance.
To crowded to accually dance to many rude people on the dance floor. The dance instructed sucks. To many drunk people before 9 oclock. To many people on dance floor with drinks in their hands. Used to be a great place to go dancing. And dance to country music. Now just a bunch of children and hip hop music. Sykes and tom ryans are much better country dance bars. The denim and diamonds. After years of being a regular. I will not ever go back. And I will not refer my friends and family and anyone who asks to d&d anymore. And what happened to the dress code. Not a good place anymore.
Had a great time at the show
Could be so much more small dance floor makes a meat market with avoidance a big desire could take out chairs near bar to the happiness of athletic line dancers could open up other side to make bigger dance floor lets go to la lb oc Anaheim and San dimas to see the line dance fun we have there
This place was quite enjoyable. Im a bit older than the usual crowd, so you wouldnt want to go there with a date because the music is very loud.
Lots of stall options, so little to no wait time 👍 BUT the integrity of the stall locks was very questionable—making the whole experience a little TOO “exciting”
The best country bar in Arizona. Huge dancefloor with many bars. Always a good time at denim.
The very best place to get your country .fix. Dancing and drink specials. Beautiful bartenders and AWESOME MANAGEMENT!
My friends and I were blatantly ignored by one of your bartenders. We were right in front of her and could see she was wrapping an order up so we politely waited. She never made eye contact with us which is a little off putting but giving her the benefit of the doubt, we waited still. A gentleman she may have a familiarity with approached her station and they immediately began talking. The young man stood right next to us and to our surprise she said let me get these guys BUUUT she did not. She continued her conversation and never once acknowledged us. My advice, treat everyone. We were your patrons and came from quite a distance to be there. We were polite and patient but we are not pushovers. Will not return.
Best Country Bar in Arizona, hands down. Amazing Staff and Bartenders. Great music and DJ. People you will meet here will be like family.
Its a wonderful place. Good prices and good music. Good dance lessons; but its waaaay too loud.
The DJs never play songs you request. Play a lot of 2 step and couple dancing. Never line dancing. I asked the DJ 5 times to play watermelon crawl and 2 hours went bye, left and told the DJ thanks for no watermelon crawl.
Racist establishment. I was making my back to my friends and was stopped and told to leave. Why is two stepping dancing considered staggering? I recommend if you’re not white stay away as they don’t kick out anyone white.
Was there @ 5-6 Saturdays. Back in time to 1989 My Maria is anthem here. All tunes are looped each visit. Crowd is local apparently. Like a family reunion every weekend ? Same girls wearing the same clothes. The dudes are quite average and kinda stale. I will say the petite brunette bar girl never fails to define HOT. Venue is an old strip mall store decked out in 1984 Gillys trim without the riding bull. Warning - Line dancing to repeated rap tunes. So... If must visit do so for 6 mths and someone may talk to you.
Went to 3 bars for Halloween last year. This was the best one. They play the music way too loud, so bring your ear plugs.Other than that, a lot of fun.
DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARDS!!! CASH ONLY!!! 6 of us went out Friday night and they charged us twice!! We all had to file claims with our banks. Apparently this isnt the first-time there has been issues. They have given peoples info and ran money up on peoples account so watch out!!
Lots of fun if your goal is to go out and party some country music. If youre looking for a quaint little country bar where you can have a beer and watch some sports this is not your place. Its Club in the country.
The atmosphere is good after 9 and beers are cheap until 10. They charge a cover fee to get in which is advertised as only starting at 8 everyday but its really only Fri and Sat. They didnt honor the no cover charge even though we showed them their own ad and instead updated the post then ignored us.
We have been there every time we visit AZ. Great atmosphere, great dancing, good spirits to drink.
I have been going to DnD for about 3 years now faithfully, I learned to country dance there at dance lesons on Wednesday and Saturday nights. I have made a lot of friends there, everyone is really friendly and nice. I must say one thing though, and nothing agsinst the Mesa staff cause you guys Rock and I love you Kristine and Brian. But the the music has gotten way too loud and when people have started to wear ear plugs to protect their hearing or will no longer come there, you might want to go back to where you are keeping the deciples down, I have heard a lot of people talk about their dislike of the incredibly loud music now, and how its really not even a real country bar, that you leave there with your ears feeling as if you were were walking out of a Rock concert and that you should rename it Hip Hop Heaven, that saddens me. You have a great club but it is named Denim and Diamonds for a reason, its a County bar, not a Hip hop, or a Rock and Roll concert. Saturday night I was there and when you guys turned it up, it was not even a gradual increase, it went up all at once, and it was an incredible increase and you may not have noticed, but I did, almost everyone in there grab their ears. I for one vote we turn it back down, before everyone that goes there needs hearing aids.
If you love to partner dance its one of the better spots in the area. Ive met people coming from out of town just to dance at Denim on Saturday night!
During the New Year my friend was drugged at this location. We have yet to have any calls answered or interaction with any management. We know the times of the issue and would imagine the incident happened in camera view. Would you be willing to take the time to review the cameras if only to remove an unsafe individual from your location.
Fun place to dance country! My wife is really into country while Im still learning but its overall a great place for a night out.
Worst place Ive ever been to and Ive been to some dive bars. Looks like a chuckecheese with a small sticky dance floor and hip hop being played by the Bob Marley looking DJ. Not worth the drive, Id rather go to Jus Country or Buffalo chip any day.
Very busy dance club. Lots of people with great music. Mainly country music with some line dancing.
Its a Big Bar, drinks were reasonably priced and the staff was courteous and friendly.
Fun place. Good drinks. Decent service for how busy it was. This was a Saturday night, and the place was packed. Good music, and we will be back
This place tried to rip off myself, my sister-in-law and her cousin. We were there this past Friday and We each opened one tab and signed our respective tabs at the end of the night. This morning my sister-in-law checked her bank statement and saw that she had been charged 3 times for 3 different amounts. Her cousin checked her account and was charged twice for 2 different amounts and when I checked my account I saw that I had been charged twice for 2 different amounts as well. Funny thing is, my sister-in-law had her card information sold to someone by an employee a few years back and now has to deal with this bs again. I called my bank and had the charges disputed and although they are handling the situation and crediting back the extra charge they advised for me to call Denim and Diamonds and ask them why they are double charging people. I plan on calling however they don’t open until 6pm and no one ever answers the phone. If you decide to go here I highly recommend you save yourself some trouble and pay with cash.
This is a fun place. Ive been there 4 or 5 times. There are a few weirdos (a group of 3-4 middle aged guys) who were there each time I went (theyre pretty unforgettable) but they seem harmless, just weird.
We drove over an hour to dance at this faux country night club because Toby Keiths couldnt pay its rent. Besides the fact they played hip hop for 5 songs in a row as soon as we entered the country club... I cant decide what is worse that there are girls wearing sandals, an overly crowded marginally sized dance floor, or the horrible music the DJ was playing. The staff was unfriendly, the door chick as soon as we entered was more worried about texting on her phone than taking my mans cover charge. Apparently, women dont have a dress code but men do, which is weird with the fake country crowd that they are drawing in. Instead of Denim & Diamonds it should be called Dubs & DBags.
Always a friendly and fun atmosphere. Friendly and attentive staff. The DJ knows how to keep the people happy. Great place to dance with friends or your significant other.
Mayra the shot girl and bartenders are always great! Enjoy this environment whether dancing or just enjoying the music.
This place was a blast, people were very inviting and willing to teach you how to dance. Great place for a girls night!
Security was rude when I told them about a man who had been smacking young womens butts and elbowed a drunk gut really hard. I asked if they were going to do anything and after waiting about 10 minutes. The security guy said, we have other stuff to do. Oh ok, sexual battery and battery arent important?
Loveee this bar! Great music…great people…great happy hr specials!
I use to go to Grahams central Station every weekend was great, had something for every genre... this place is small cramped seating is limited . They really need to expand
Great dancing and drink specials...I wish on Wednesday nights Country Dancing was extended to 11pm, the hip hop mixing that starts at 10 is a bummer
Primarily couple dancing. Very minimal line dancing. Around 10pm, it became more of a club than a country bar. The cheap drinks were ok.
We had such a fun night on our first outing to Denim and Diamonds! The atmosphere is amazing and we had such a wonderful experience with the staff. I would highly recommend this place for date night.
Older crowd for the country dance lessons. 7$ cover charge which i didnt like much. Fun time tho, great dance instructors!
The place is typical full of people that want to be Cowboys or cowgirls a lot of them are mostly already have boyfriends and girlfriends so catching bait over there is slim to none.. its only open like 3 or 4 days a week and the drinks are really expensive the only plus side of this place is if youre a girl you can get away with 50 Cent drinks.. and most of them seem to be stuck up anyways
Great country bar frequency has live singers/bands. If you like pool they have 3 pool tables
Good place for a Friday night out. DJ and sometimes live bands. Large dance floor and good beer prices. .50 cent bottles of beer Fridays 8p-11p
Pretty fun place, great atmosphere, good music, cheap drinks. If you know how to country dance, its way more fun. If not, learn.
Wednesday nights are lots of fun if you like to country dance. The downfall is how far out in Mesa it is.
Its a great place for beginners like me and advance country swing and line dancing😃🤙🏾
Biggest dance floor around. Drink specials are good but hate that they have cover charge for men on Wednesday night (ladies night) WHY??
Its too crowded here and there are too many drunk people dropping their drinks breaking glass on the floor. They play just as much hip hop now as they do country.
This is great country bar in Arizona. It has good music and drink specials. Dancing here is so much fun!
Is playing Grease songs.. 70 years too late Bucko. We come here to country dance
I was a regular patron of this club until November 30, 2013 when the club manager, Jared Straumann, freaked me out by stalking me all around the club for 2 hours until I felt so threatened that I left. Please keep in mind that I was minding my own business (as usual) and not causing any trouble or commotion. This guy must have been having a bad day and decided to harass the first single girl he saw (me). Single ladies BEWARE. If the club manager is running off single women you are not safe in this club.
Had a lot of fun with friends. Sound system was great. Plenty of room to chill or dance.
Good music, fun atmosphere, small dance floor, limited dance style and water downed drinks.
Small dance floor and very crowded but love the atmosphere! Been to a lot of country bars and this is one of my favorites!
This place is very nice. They have dance classes (check online for more information) the staff is very nice and overall a really good vibe.
It was ok, drinks weren’t outrageous plenty of restrooms. Dance floor is small.
Great place to country dance. You can take country dance lessons from an instructor on wendsday nights. Great prices on beers.
First and last time I go here because bartenders skimp you on alcohol.
Theres an absurd amount of people that were here when I came, it didnt look very fun, could barely walk around. Ill try coming back when its less crowded. Maybe Wednesday?
All the staff is amazing. Easy the best country bar in the state. I said what i said
Great spot for the younger crowd. Just watched the groups dancing. Good musicSecurity kept any possible problems at bay.
I love the denim and diamond because I love the people shall be very friendly and very nice
So much fun to go dancing here with friends. The concerts are awesome and all the bartenders are super fast and nice. :)
Definitely a fun place, if you enjoy country music and dancing. 🤠👍
Need a bigger dance floor, way too many drinks security is good but Mesa pd is a joke no help whats so ever . They are to busy flirting with the girls . Cheap beer . Diffently needs to expand and clean it up some .
Ladies night, was busy and crowded, we had a great time with our friends.
Fun, spacious country bar with music and live dancing! We had a great time and enjoyed our night!
Very fun! A lot of dancing and great bar tenders. They do mix in some hip-hop which I love.
Big floor for dancing, good looking bartenders, and cheap drinks. Great place for country dancing.
Great drinks, fun dances, super friendly staff and people.
Love this place. .50 drinks on Fridays and free admission. Such a great environment.
AWESOME EXPERIANCE !! Nina D from KMLE 107.9 hosts a Sarurday night party at D&D. Drink specials, hot cowgirls, great dancing !!! Im a Saturday night D&D regular !
Had a fun time hootin and hollerin and the hoedown. Fun place to dance. Beers are a bit pricey
Small dance floor gets too crowded easily not at all for line dancing only country swing
Security staff and waitress staff have always been Pleasant great drink specials excellent choice of Music throughout the night just a good old country bar
Allot of cute women and good place to kick it up some, beer specials are great - just wish there was a North West Valley Location.
Best place to go out for cheap drinks from 7:30-11 Wednesday and weekends
Alls great except it is not made for us women that want to sit, drink, smoke, and gab .. Personally I love to dance, but not all my friends do
Love this place. Best dancing bar around. Watch your keys tho. Mine got stolen :(
Definitely a fun place. A younger crowd if your over forty...But friendly The music and dancing are a total blast.
It was a great experience love the amazing atmosphere and the layout is great lots of fun highly recommend going to check it out
Really great place for dancing and drinks. Always fun with friends.
Had a grate Time, Drink where on point. Good fun for the group to dance or chill, good vibes all around
Its ok. Good drink specials. Wish I danced more when I was there. Maybe have a girls night.
Clean, respectful, country dance club. Good mix of music and line dancing.
OMG...I cant describe this place well enough.. See to be believe... Dancing, beer pong drink specials concerts...family like feel for 21+5*+
Fun place! Drinks are reasonably priced. great place to people watch.
Not very good. (False advertising) would not honor their special, first time and not impressive ledt went to better place. SORRY BUT TAKE DOWN YOUR WEBSITE WHEN YOU DECIDE THAT YOU DONT FEEL LIKE GIVING OUT THAT PRICE . WAY OVER RATED !!!!!
Awesome atmosphere and good music. Cant beat 50 cent drinks
